More thinking about the Jonder (Jon Gender). I imagine Jon discovering it/its pronouns and just being Drawn to them. Jon meets somebody who goes by it/its and can’t stop thinking about it (pun intented) but can never work up the courage to admit it even to themselves so they use they/them in their head or with close friends (read: Georgie) and he/him everywhere else. By the time Jon is ready to use it/its for itself it’s already at the Magnus Institute, a place where they feel a constant need to come off as Professionally As Possible and nobody ELSE is using Neopronouns (for the same reasons as Jon, although it doesn’t know that) and is it even safe to be out as any shade of queer at all so it continues with business as usual pronoun-wise. And then it discovers that it’s turning into an eldritch inhuman monster and its gender feelings get 5000% more complicated.
#obligatory no j//mart or martin since this is going in the main tags and I Do Not Care for either#i don’t mean to be aggressive it’s just unavoidable in the broader fandom but i REALLY want to share my Jonder Thoughts#anyway this IS projection. how could you tell?#only instead of meeting somebody i watched a video where one of the speaker’s used it/its and couldn’t stop thinking about The Pronouns#i still don’t use it/its irl (at least not exclusively)#but they’re what i go by online#and i really really like them#i enjoy feeling like a Creachur living in other people’s phones and computer screens#anyway my thoughts on the Jonder are that Jon is a nonbinary transmasc (possible agender) Just Like Me!!!!#but i embrace and accept any reading of jon (except for cis. i just don’t see it at all. sorry)#i should have a sorting tag for all my jonder posts cause i’ve made a few now#and it matters a lot to me for reasons not unrelated to projection#ok here it is ->#jonder#jon sims#jonathan sims#tma#the magnus archives

3 Simple Rules for Dating a Centenarian
Fandom: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Pairing: Sam Wilson/Bucky Barnes Rating: T Word Count: 2374
Summary: After seeing Steve's shield handed over to some stranger, Sam calls up Bucky, certain he's the one person who can properly commiserate. He doesn't really expect Bucky to answer though (the guy's become a bit of a recluse), or to hear the hints that he might be missing Sam as much as Sam's been missing him. Not that he'd ever say it straight out.
Sam is almost completely still as the feelings rattle through him like a roller coaster’s last run on a derelict track. He only lets it out—the blend of frustration, betrayal, and regret—in the way his fingers squeeze his knee through his jeans, skin damp against the denim. Keeping his hands clasped, and watching those clasped hands, was more grounding, but he needs one of his hands to hold the phone to his ear, and that activity is getting pretty damn tired.
Bucky’s voicemail clicks on for the third time in a row.
“Bucky,” Sam says, “I know you prefer calls to texting, so what are you doing ignoring me, man? Haven’t used your cell in so long that you’ve forgotten how to hit the answer button? At least it rang. That’s something, I guess.”
He sighs away from the speaker where it won’t be recorded for Bucky to hear later. Maybe he did divert his message from the snarky sarcasm he was planning to leave the guy, but Bucky doesn’t need to hear him sigh on top of that.
For a few moments, Sam taps his foot along with the muffled music of his nephews’ video game coming through the closed door. He knows the boys’ routine (and if he ever forgets, he sees the copy Sarah has on the fridge door) and that this isn’t their usual scheduled time for whatever they’re playing out there. Best guess: Sarah wants them hogging the TV so she won’t be tempted to peek at that government-sanctioned shitshow. Sam can’t blame her. Actually, he wonders if she blames him. The disappointment was so clear in her eyes before he stopped making himself meet them. He thought he was doing the right thing when he handed the shield over. Are there people out there who think he’s let them down, or just his sister? Just himself?
He can’t talk to Sarah right now and he’s thankful that she’s giving him some time to himself, but as soon as he got it, he realized he didn’t know what to do with it. Just like that shield. Dialing Bucky over and over—tapping in every number every time because that appears to be part of this pity ritual he’s performing—seemed like the thing he should do. Probably won’t answer. That asshole is terrible at staying in touch. Still, Sam’s heart feels a little heavier with every word closer he gets to the end of this message. Feels like he’s trying to keep the thing afloat in his chest, like his parents’ boat down at the dock. This is what he knows he should do when everything in him wants to sink—reach out, talk to people. Kinda self-sabotage when he picks the one person almost guaranteed not to answer.
Oh, he’ll hear back from Bucky eventually, probably a handful of choppy texts sent in the middle of the night two weeks from now. Sam knows his pattern; Bucky’s chattiest between 3am and 4am, so chatty that what are likely intended as longer blocks of text arrive in broken fragments because he wants to make everything into neat paragraphs, like he’s writing a damn letter, instead of just getting to the point, but he hits send too soon. Sam would teach him—with plenty of mocking and name-calling, but he would teach him—only while he’s been running ops all over the planet, Bucky’s shrunk his own world way down. He’s gone local to the extreme and it aggravates Sam, even though Bucky isn’t his responsibility, isn’t his other inheritance from Steve. It’s sorta just easier to feel like Bucky is a misplaced bequest than to acknowledge that maybe he misses the guy and his sharp-shooter’s eye and his caveman hair. He can’t keep calling him.
“Thought I’d give you a heads-up,” Sam says, voice weary with this half-true excuse. “Maybe you already saw.” He clears his throat and says quickly, “Anyway, guess I’ll hear from you when I hear from you.”
He’s pulling the phone away from his head and has barely ended the call when it’s ringing in his hand. He answers and catches Bucky’s voice saying his name before it’s even back up to his ear.
“Bucky?” Sam says. “You have a senior’s moment and forget where you left your phone?”
“Nah,” Bucky says. “I saw it was you and decided to ignore it.”
“But you called back.”
“You wouldn’t quit calling. Seemed like you needed me to tell you directly to knock it off.”
“Jackass.” Sam’s gaze darts to the door, but it’s still shut. No chance Sarah saw him grinning over this easy banter. Always the banter with this idiot. Always easy. He sniffs and turns his chair away from the black TV screen. “Did you see that joker on the news?”
Bucky’s either less self-conscious or more inept because he sighs right into the mouthpiece, an exhausted breath in Sam’s ear that has his fingers fleetingly digging into his knee.
“Couldn’t believe that shit,” Bucky tells him in a rough voice. He’s clearly holding back his own feelings about today’s events and, from the sounds of it, they’re more along the lines of anger, hurt, and a simmering desire to wrench the shield from the arm of the new Captain America. “You know that thing’s supposed to be yours.”
“You saying I should’ve done something to stop it?” Sam demands.
“Coulda.”
Sam forces his shoulders to drop, draws a slow breath in and pushes it back out.
“It wasn’t mine anymore, if it ever was. I gave it to the Smithsonian. They sealed it in this glass case and added it to the exhibit.”
“Not a very tight seal.”
“Guess not,” Sam agrees.
“You shouldn’t have turned it over,” Bucky says. Sam’s silent, frowning, and Bucky goes on. “Forget about the shield being given to somebody else—it shouldn’t have even been in a glass case. Doesn’t belong there.”
“I do just fine without it,” Sam assures him. The practicalities of carrying that shield around are more straightforward to discuss than his yawning uncertainty in the face of Steve’s legacy and his place relative to it. “The shield would only get in the way of the wings.”
“You and those wings.”
“Hey, they carried me over Tunisia recently. Show some respect.”
“Didn’t hear about that,” Bucky says in a tone that’s difficult to interpret, though Sam squints thoughtfully as he listens.
“Yeah, well, I shouldn’t even be telling the likes of you, but it was discrete. As far as the major players are concerned, I was never there.”
“So it was illegal?”
Sam’s head tips back as he laughs hard.
“Why, you wanna turn me in?” he jokes. “Working on the government’s trust? What’s the next level up from a pardon? Knighthood?”
“You are such a pain in the ass,” Bucky groans, which really does make Sam smile.
“I’m sure it would’ve been illegal if you were there,” he says automatically. Too fast, his imagination fills it in, a fictional alternative materializing in his mind. Him and Bucky, cocky in reckless freefall. Him and Bucky, fighting back-to-back in a plummeting aircraft. Sam screening Bucky from enemy fire with his wings. Bucky deflecting a stray bullet with his arm before it could hit Sam.
“Nah, I can’t do that no more.”
“Uh huh. I’m sure you’re an angel.”
“Anybody get hurt?” Bucky asks.
Sam glances through the window at the blue sky, the truck rolling unhurriedly past with the driver’s arm hanging out to catch the sun. Beautiful day. He remembers a kick that sent a guy through the door of the plane, sucked out into the sky, another guy tossed aside who tried to fight him in midair, and a helicopter aflame as it went down. He shrugs and figures Bucky’ll hear the gesture in his voice.
“Nobody who didn’t know the risks.”
“Of going up against Captain America?” Bucky probes. Sam rolls his eyes.
“You know, that would almost be a compliment if you got my name right.”
“Don’t tell me you’re not using the name just to avoid compliments from me.”
“I honestly can’t say which one would feel more wrong,” Sam says, passing a hand over his head as he leans back in his chair, “calling myself Captain America or hearing a little overdue praise from you.”
“I’m not really a words guy. Ask my therapist.”
Sam sits with that for a second. He’s happy that Bucky’s talking to someone. He needs it, badly, after decades of violence and being belted into the passenger seat of his own brain. It’s more than Bucky’s ever admitted to him before, but Sam would bet—and bet big—that seeing some stranger named as Steve’s successor today has gotten to Bucky as much as it’s gotten to him. Something like that is bound to open Bucky up a little. He’s the only other person Sam can imagine the news having such a monumental impact on.
“You could try words,” he goads, not wanting to leave Bucky hanging more than a few seconds after his admission. “What else do you have if you don’t feel like being a human action figure?”
“I have my system. My rules.”
“Oh yeah? What rules?”
“Three of ’em,” Bucky informs him. “Nothing illegal. Nobody gets hurt. Making amends for the actions of the Winter Solider.”
“You don’t have to make amends for something you—”
“Don’t. It… helps.”
And who is Sam to question what’s helping Bucky? After the multiple-lifetimes’ worth of hell the guy’s been through?
“Good for you, man,” Sam offers softly.
“Save it, Sam.” The words are clipped but light. Sam grins.
“No words for me either? You more comfortable with me sticking to actions? How are we supposed to talk to each other when you don’t come to Tunisia with me?”
“Wasn’t invited,” Bucky quips back.
“You mighta been if you answered your phone more often. I’m not gonna send you the details to a covert operation in a text.”
“You wanted me in Tunisia?”
“You get shit done,” Sam acknowledges simply. You wanted me in Tunisia? echoes in his head. His heart’s bobbing like a buoy now. You wanted me in Tunisia? You wanted me?
“Not like that.”
“‘Not illegal,’” Sam repeats. “‘Nobody gets hurt. Making amends.’”
“Right. Can’t do any of that.”
“Well, I’m glad this regime’s working for you, but you have to admit it’s weird that I saw more of you when we were fighting alien hordes.”
“What can I say?” Bucky asks in a tone that seems to consciously flatten the charm out of it. “I’m old-fashioned now.”
Sam snorts.
“You were old-fashioned then.”
“I assume you had a team on the ground.”
“I had to,” Sam says over the sound of a squabble in the other room. Immediately, he can hear Sarah’s voice rising slightly above, breaking it up. Just like that, there’s the looping music of the video game again. She’s raised those boys well. “Couldn’t wait around for you.”
“I might show up if you asked me on better dates.”
“It wasn’t a date, it was a goddamn op.”
It’s startling to hear the sound of laughter. Not hearty, deep, rich, or loud, but definitely laughter. Bucky laughs? Sam backtracks a minute. Bucky makes jokes? About dating? About the two of them dating? Evidently, that is something he’s capable of, along with returning calls during daylight hours.
Sam shifts in his seat.
“You could come around sometime,” he suggests, nervously rubbing a hand up and down his thigh. “If you like fish and you’re ever in Louisiana.”
“I do like fish,” Bucky says. “I’ve been going to this sushi place a lot lately.”
It’s not his taste that surprises Sam—it’s the readiness with which he responds to the invitation. He would’ve sooner guessed that Bucky would tell him to shove it up his ass. In a joking way, but still.
“On dates?” Sam asks, telling himself he’s providing some good-natured hassling and that it has nothing to do with the odd feeling he got when Bucky’s joke about them dating caught up with him.
“One. Mostly, I go with Mr. Nakajima.”
“And that’s not a date?”
Sam laughs and wishes he could shut his own mouth as firmly as he’s (many times) told Bucky to shut his.
“I’m pretty sure he’s in his eighties, so he’s more age-appropriate for me than most people, but I murdered his son,” Bucky says grimly.
“Amends?” Sam guesses, adjusting his tone to cope with Bucky’s emotional switchback.
“I haven’t told him yet, but, yeah, I’m working on that.”
They’re both working on something, Sam thinks. Both confronting something that feels too big to tackle—the decision not to announce himself as the new Captain America, guilt for assassinations Bucky had no control over but which span the better part of a century. Sometimes it seems to Sam that they go up against the easiest situations as a team and face the hardest stuff alone. But he called Bucky, and Bucky called back.
“You could bring some of those amends down here and trade them for a snapper dinner,” Sam proposes, aiming for irritatingly cheerful to pull Bucky back out of the dark.
“What do I have to make amends to you for?”
“Being a dick. I’ll text you my sister’s address.”
Sam swiftly ends the call. There are two possible sources to which he can attribute the small surge of adrenaline he feels: hanging up on Bucky and the fact that he might’ve just asked him on a date. When Sam dialed, he knew it was because he didn’t want to do this alone, but he thought that meant watching the appointment of an upstart Captain America. Although he believed he could count on Bucky’s understanding today and for the near future, asking him down to have dinner with Sarah and the boys (or tricking him into it, since he didn’t exactly say it’d be a thing with the whole family) lengthens the timeline. Near future? Inviting Bucky to meet his family and see where he grew up means recognizing that he’ll be in his life a little longer. Alone? Sam might forget the meaning of the word.

I did the thing! I present to you Shereshoy, AKA Mace Windu gets to bail a drunken Obi-Wan out of jail at oh-dark-thirty. Rated T for some swearing.
***
This was not how Mace wanted to start his day.
Contrary to popular belief, Mace Windu did not actually enjoy being a hardass. But as head of the Order, it was a carefully crafted persona he did his best to maintain anywhere outside of private quarters and behind closed Council doors.
It was a useful tool, to be able to look at errant Initiates or the occasional unruly knight and have them apologizing for misdeeds of which Mace wasn't even aware. And he found it an extremely effective deterrent against nosy politicians and pushy reporters. There were some people, though, who would meet his deadliest glare with a beatific smile and not even blink.
"Somebody's in trouble," one of the troopers sing-songed. With two dozen of them in adjacent cells, there was no way for Mace to know whether it was a Guard member or someone from Ghost company. Another trooper giggled, and his own commander stifled a noise behind Mace, doing his best to uphold his end of the bargain for being allowed to accompany Mace.
Caf. He needed more caf for this. Especially when the beatific smile turned into a full blown, eyes sparkling, still karking drunk grin. "Mace!"
Mace scowled. "Kenobi. I'm not sure I even want to know why I am having to bail out a member of the Jedi Council from the drunk tank like he is some sort of truant Padawan. I generally only expect this kind of behavior from you when Vos is in town."
Another giggle, followed by a scuffle of elbows being shoved into arms and stomachs, and Mace is pretty sure he sees a handful of creds being handed off. There was not enough caf in the world for this. Somewhere nearby, he could hear Commander Fox swearing colorfully at Captain Rex, and Mace could empathize with the man.
"It isn't anywhere quite as bad as all that," Kenobi protested. Mace arched an eyebrow and crossed his arms, waiting for Kenobi to continue. Ponds was likely recording this, so Mace figured he could at least put on a good performance. "The Guard expressed some... skepticism...in regards to recent tactics that Torrent utilized in the field."
"That does not explain two destroyed speeders, thousands of credits of property damage, or why there is video footage of the High General of the Republic shouting Sooran, shab! after the Marshall Commander back-flipped from one moving speeder to another."
Kenobi's expression wouldn't melt butter as a soft Oya rippled among the troopers. Commander Cody had a lazy smile on his face, shoulder to shoulder with his general. Mace had watched the video on the way to the Guard offices; it had been quite an impressive feat, but he wasn't about to encourage Kenobi or his men any further. If he'd wanted them to be indulged, he'd have sent Plo or Adi.
"Commander Cody graciously offered to provide remedial instruction in said tactics." Ponds was shaking behind Mace, but at least his external speaker was off so Mace could pretend like his commander wasn't laughing hysterically. "Besides," Kenobi continued, looking entirely too smug, "it's not as if the general public would recognize him."
"Perhaps not," Mace conceded that point. One clone was the same as any other, as far as most of the galaxy was concerned, and the commander hadn't been wearing his distinctive armor to make him more easily identifiable. "But," Mace said, holding up a hand to stop Kenobi's pleased grin from spreading. "You are quite recognizable, on or off the battlefield."
Kenobi fluttered a hand dismissively. "Half the population still believes I'm dead, Mace, and there is quite a large faction that believes the Jedi Council replaced me with a convenient clone."
"And if I might say so, sir," one of the clones spoke up. "What with him looking like a shiny with his hair growing back, the General's hardly recognizable either."
"Thank you, Boil," Kenobi said, his mouth twitching up in a smile that was definitely more obvious without his full mustache and beard.
"Of course, sir. Besides, you obviously aren't pretty enough to be a clone."
Mace bit back a sigh. It wasn't surprising that the group had felt the need to blow off steam after the Hardeen mess was finished. The entire thing had been an easily avoidable shit show, if the Council had just been allowed to assign protection to the Chancellor as they saw fit instead of being ordered to send one of their most visible people undercover.
“You owe me big time, vod,” Captain Rex said as he approached the cell. He didn’t look it, but Mace knew the captain had been dragged out of bed for this too. “Like ‘giving the next three batches of Shinies the Sex Talk’ owe me. Or maybe the Padawan Commanders. I haven’t decided yet, but you definitely owe me.”
“Somebody’s in trouble,” Kenobi sing-songed. The clones erupted into giggles. Mace clenched his jaw and pinched his nose, massaging the throbbing headache forming between his eyes. Captain Rex shared an unimpressed look with Mace. Ponds was nearly bent double in laughter.
It was Commander Thire who came to open the cell. “Alright, you lot. You’d better get out of here fast before Fox changes his mind about letting you go.”
Kenobi was the first to stand, wobbling dangerously for a moment before his commander steadied him. “Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us, Commander Thire,” Kenobi said to the Guard officer, all flash and charm. “I will be sure to put in a commendation for you.”
Thire seemed mostly unaffected by it, at least, though he grinned in response as Kenobi and his men shuffled out of the cell into the hallway. “Probably best if you didn’t, General. I think Commander Fox would prefer not having any evidence from tonight.”
“If only that were possible,” Mace said dryly, taking Kenobi by the elbow to steer him away from his troops. He ignored the way Kenobi pouted at him. “We’ll deal with whatever the fallout is from this later.”
Captain Rex nodded in agreement, herding his stumbling and giggling brothers towards the exit. Commander Cody hung back from the others, giving his general a frighteningly intense look. “K’oyacyi.”
Kenobi gave him a soft smile in return. It was clear where Skywalker had picked up the absolute lack of subtlety in regards to emotions from. “K’oyacyi. Thank you for an entertaining evening, Commander.”
Cody nodded at his general, paused long enough to give Mace a dark look, then turned and allowed Captain Rex to see him out. Kenobi sighed, but was wise enough not to comment when he caught sight of Mace’s scowl.
“Try not to cause any more trouble today,” Mace said, ushering his friend out of the station, Ponds trailing behind him dutifully. “And you get to fill out the requisitions for the replacement speeders.”
“That hardly seems fair, Mace. It was the Guard driving them, after all. It wasn’t our fault that they became so distracted that they crashed.”
“I honestly don’t much give a damn whose fault it was,” Mace said. He sighed and stopped, turning to face Kenobi. With a flick of his fingers, he signaled Ponds for privacy and the commander stepped away. “I’m happy you enjoyed yourself,” Mace said. He truly was; the war had taken its toll on all of them, and Kenobi bore the brunt of it. Mace couldn’t remember when he’d last seen the man so relaxed and happy. “But in the future, you may want to consider toning your dramatics down below a Skywalker level.”
Kenobi scoffed. “I’ve always been less dramatic than Anakin. A Mon Cala opera is less dramatic than Anakin.”
Mace leveled him with an unimpressed look. “You may be able to fool the rest of the galaxy, but I’ve known you since you were knee-high. Also,” Mace added, starting them back towards the Temple. “You owe me several favors after this.”
“Now wait one moment,” Kenobi started to say, but ever faithful Ponds was the one who cut him off.
“Perp pictures,” the commander declared gleefully, and Mace let himself smile. It was, he had been told, even more terrifying than his glare. Kenobi blanched. Mace patted him on the shoulder.
Perhaps today wasn’t off to such a terrible start after all.

Riverdale//without you i’d be nothing
Request: Reader plays a Northsider River Vixen on Riverdale and when the show’s on hiatus the cast takes a trip to New Orleans and her boyfriend Douglas Booth invites them to see him film a scene as Nikki Sixx for the Netflix movie The Dirt and he and reader are super cute after he finishes the scene and the cast totally ships them. The scene is from the YouTube video The Dirt - Shout at the Devil/with backstage (Turkish subtitle). Nikki’s bass guitar in the opening of the scene is really cool.
hey! i really hope you like this!! and i also hope you’re having a good day!
“Hey guys! It’s me, Madelaine and welcome to the last day of shooting before our hiatus!” Madelaine beams into the camera and you lift your head up from your phone to watch her talk excitedly at the camera.
“I’m sort of sad because I’m gonna miss all of these.” She does a twirl to show off the rest of the cast sat waiting to start filming and they all take a break from talking to wave and smile at the camera. “But I am very excited for the break. Plus, we won’t really be away from each other for long because in a few days we’re going on holiday!! Aren’t we guys!” She asks and zooms in on Charles while he scrolls through his phone.
“Huh?” He asks when he feels everyone looking at him. You all stifle a laugh before looking back at Madelaine again.
“Okay, let’s see what everyone is doing.” She smiles playfully and wiggles her eyebrows before flipping the camera and choosing who to annoy first. “KJ. What are you doing?”
“Eating.” He replies through a mouthful of food before glaring at the red-head.
“Vanessa?”
“Ignoring you.” She replies, not bothering to look up from her phone.
“You know, you all think that Vanessa is lovely, but this is what I have to put up with.” Madelaine frowns. “What about you Y/n?” She asks and you glance at her before sending your text.
“She’s texting her boyfriend.” Jordan teases as he looks over your shoulder and you roll your eyes at his childishness. “Aww, they’re sending each other kisses. And now she’s opening Instagram and liking a picture of him-wait, that’s not his real hair is it?” He asks and you send him a look.
“Of course not.” You laugh. “It’s his costume, for the Mötley Crüe movie.”
“Ohh.” He replies. “Okay.” He starts again, faking a British accent and you roll your eyes again. “Now, she is liking the photo of her boyfriend and his cast members. She’s typing something and now she’s going into her notes and typing something else. It’s for me, and it says Jordan...fuck off.” He trails off and a playful pout replaces his smile.
“Somebody please send help.” Madelaine deadpans as she flips the camera back. “I’m gonna have to put up with all of this for another week.”
“Holy shit.” Madelaine mouths as she shoves the camera in her backpack. The rest of the cast are just as mesmerised with the stage set up in front of them.
The stage is more light than actual stage and for a while you can’t really decipher between the lights and the many, many speakers they have. Four microphones are dotted around the black stage, just waiting for sound. The guitar amps wait to be plugged in and you remember watching Douglas walk in and out of your bedroom as he tried to master the way Nickki Sixx would walk on stage. Tommy Lee’s drum sits at the back of the stage and the pentagram really brings the whole dark aesthetic together.
It genuinely looks like one of their shows. After Doug was offered the role, the two of you sat and watched countless videos of their shows together, just so he could really get into his role.
Normally you’d join them in staring wide-eyed at the bright set, but you’re too excited to see Doug that you can barely take in anything surrounding you other than him. Your eyes scan the countless people passing by. Crew members carrying large speakers and microphones back and forth, and hundreds of extra’s mill about around you, making you feel like you’ve just walked through a time machine.
You feel eyes on you and it’s only when you look back at them do you realize you were bouncing slightly.
“Be cool.” Jordan shakes his head and you flip him off making him feign offence.
“Can I help you guys?” A woman asks and you quickly direct your attention to her.
“Hi!” You beam. “Douglas Booth invited us to watch him. He said he got the okay from the director. I’m Y/n, his girlfriend. Nice to meet you!” You smile and stick your hand out in front of her. She blinks, trying to process what you’ve just said in the short space of time before a small smile twitches at her lips and she introduces herself.
“I’m Amy.” She replies. “And I’ve heard a lot about you. It’s nice to finally meet you in person instead of being shown countless of pictures of you.” She teases and your cheeks heat up.
Cami and Lili share a look before nudging you and you stare at the floor, too embarrassed to look at them again.
“Come with me.” She tells the rest of the group. “And help yourself to snacks and drinks.” She says and everyone’s head’s perk up at the mention of food. “We’re just about to film, they’re putting the final touches to everything, but if I see Doug I’ll let him know you’re here.”
“Thank you!” You grin and sit down. Behind the camera’s are a bunch of seats, none of which match and it’s a race between the ten of you to get the comfiest seats first. It ends in KJ and Casey standing and they grumble quietly to each other while the rest of you smile sarcastically back at them.
“Okay. Quiet on set!” Someone shouts and you stand up to crane your neck over the camera’s. For a second everything’s quiet, and then the lights go up and everyone screams.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, from Los Angeles, Mötley Crüe!”
Douglas looks out into the crowd and your sure he’s seen you, despite the room full of people. Then the lights come up and the spark machines go off leaving all you to stare in awe at what is happening.
The sound of drums pound along with your heart while you watch your boyfriend transform into somebody else in front of your very eyes. He strums the guitar in time and hops backwards while looking out into the darkened crowd and you follow his gaze, wanting to see what he’s seeing.
You watch as the camera zooms in on Douglas’ strumming and you nudge Cami excitledy as you point proudly at him. She stifles a laugh before the two of you continuing watching.
“Title track is from our up and coming album. We call it ‘Shout At The Devil’” Danny shouts and the crowd goes wild. The camera zooms in on Iwan playing guitar.
‘Shout, shout, shout!” They sing, the camera zooming into each of them, focusing longer on Colson as he twirls the drum sticks around in his fingers. “Shout, shout, shout! Shout at the devil.” Danny kicks his leg out and does a spin before starting to sing again and you can’t believe what you’re seeing.
They all look so cool! Especially Douglas and you can understand why bands back in the day had so many groupies if they did stuff like this on the stage. The atmosphere is electric and it’s not even a real concert, so you can only dream of what it would feel like to be at a real one. “He's the wolf screaming lonely in the night. He's the blood stain on the stage.” Danny points out into the crowd and you hear a few screams and squeals making you laugh. “He's the tear in your eye. Been tempted by his lie.” Douglas rocks back and forth, and despite your earlier teasing through texts about the wig, it does look good when he’s up there head banging. “He's the knife in your back, he's rage!” Colson raises a hand in the air before banging the drums again.
Danny leans forward, his voice going up an octave and you watch impressed. “He's the razor to the knife. Oh, lonely is our lives. My head's spinning 'round and 'round.” He points out into the crowd again and you catch Pete Davidson’s eye.
Colson throws a drumstick in the air again before drumming, and you don’t know where to look anymore. There’s so many incredible things happening and you wish you could film this or take a picture or something so you can remember. It’s going to be amazing when you see it in the actual film, but to see it being recorded in real life, that’s something you don’t think any movie theatre will be able to live up to.
“But in the seasons of wither, we'll stand and deliver. Be strong and laugh and-”
“Shout, shout, shout. Shout at the devil! Shout, shout, shout!” Flames erupt from the stage during each beat and all ten of your eyes widen when you see someone flash the band. They head bang and jump around and your eyes widen each second that passes.
But it’s over far sooner than you’d like it to be. You could spent forever watching your boyfriend pretend to be a famous rockstar, and you’re surprised at how at home he looks up on stage.
The band shout and cheer, before the director shouts cut and they suddenly all erupt into laughter. Douglas and Iwan high five before they disappear off stage and previously still crew members start moving again. They hurry past you, with props, costumes and coffee in hand.
And you wait excitedly for Douglas to appear.
“So, we’re on the set of a super important Netflix movie. We’ve just watched them film literally the best thing ever. Like I have goosebumps, look. Anyway, I’m not gonna show you much, but I am going to show you this.” Madelaine whispers, a soft smile lighting up her face before she flips the camera and zooms in on you and Douglas.
You wrap your arms around him and he picks you up, twirling you around making you squeal. He puts you back on the floor and wastes no time in capturing your lips in a kiss. You’ve been waiting months to kiss him again and it was definitely worth it, even if he is wearing that ridiculously large wig.
“I’ve missed you so much baby.” You mumble against his lips.
“Me too.” He replies and kisses you again.
Madelaine flips the camera back to her and she pouts in response to how cute the two of you are.
“She hasn’t shut up about him since he invited us out here.” She says and rolls her eyes. “It’s been the only thing we’ve heard. Hasn’t it V?” She asks the shorter girl as she walks behind her.
“What?” Vanessa asks and takes a sip of the coffee Cole stole for her from the snack table.
“Y/n and Doug.” It’s only three words, but it sets Vanessa off into a whole ramble about how excited you’ve been to see him.
“It’s a good job they’re cute.” She replies making Vanessa giggle and the two of them watch as you and Doug catch up with each other. You move his wig from his face and he smiles thankfully, before kissing your cheek. “Something that isn’t cute though is these two.” Madelaine interrupts her own vlog by swapping the camera again and zooming in on Jordan and Drew taking pictures of each other with badly put on wigs.
Her and Vanessa shake their head and watch as they laugh loudly and try to knock the other ones off their head. However their laughter soon dies down when a crew member comes over and scolds them for tampering with props, and now it’s Vanessa and Madelaine’s’s turn to laugh.
“I can’t wait for the internet to see that.” Vanessa giggles before sending a disapproving look at the two men now pouting sadly in the corner.
“Knowing them, it’ll just make more people love them.” Madelaine rolls her eyes. She turns the camera off and lets Vanessa lead her to where the majority of the cast are.
“Hi guys.” Douglas introduces himself nervously and the conversations slowly die out. You stand beside Doug, your hand in his to keep him calm and a reassuring smile on your face.
He’s never normally nervous when meeting new people, however he’s only ever met a few of these people a handful of times and he knows how important they are to you so he wants to make the best impression he possibly can.
Although, you’re pretty sure he already has done with that they’ve just watched. You’re sure that could turn even the most cynical and hard to impress people, so you’re not worried.
“Hi!” They all reply, each of them moving to shake his hand first.
“Can I just say, that was great. I’ve never seen anything like it!” Drew gushes and Doug waves him off bashfully.
“Seriously. Y/n is very lucky.” Jordan replies making you shove him lightly.
“I’m definitely the lucky one.” Doug replies and kisses you gently. Your friends roll their eyes and gag in response, but you know they’re doing it out of love.
“So, how are you all enjoying New Orleans?” He changes the subject.
“We haven’t really seen much of it. We got here yesterday and we spent the majority of it sleeping.” Casey explains making him frown.
“Why don’t we go sightseeing.” He smiles. “Before you guys get kicked out.” He adds and looks at Jordan and Drew who smile back awkwardly.
“You guys go ahead.” You interrupt. “We’ll catch up with you.”
“Ooo.” KJ teases and you flip him off making him laugh loudly. “Get out.” You shove him and Lili grabs his arm pulling him towards the exit. The rest of the gang follow until it’s just you and Doug standing in an empty room. You’re only company is the very large snack table and various chairs dotted around the room.
“I’ve missed you so fucking much.” You admit and wrap him into a tight hug. He wheezes at the force but hugs you back and warmth fills your chest. “You were also amazing up there. I mean, it was like I was at a proper concert!” You ramble proudly and he rolls his eyes. “You are so talented.”
“Nah.” He shakes his head and you send him a glare. “It was all you, you’re my good luck charm.”
---
March 18, 2019, ArcLight, Hollywood.
The fabric of your dress, bunches and un-bunches in your clammy palm. The pale blue silk is soft against your skin and it’s quite a comforting feeling, it’s good to know that you can still feel something, even if the rest of you does feel numb.
Camera’s flash outside the tinted windows of the black car, and you can hear hundreds of people shouting and screaming. The last time you were at a movie premiere, it didn’t feel anything like this, and it’s not even your movie. You wonder if you maybe need to do more than two acting jobs to get used to stuff like this, maybe you never get used to it.
The more you think of it, the weirder it feels. All of those people lining the streets and wanting to take pictures of you. Riverdale premiers feel a whole lot less scary than movie ones. You thought it was because you always have your friends around you, or maybe because you’ve been to every single one of them since the show started, you kind of know what to expect as they’re all the same.
But then you glance at Doug and you feel a whole new set of nerves creep up on you. He looks so good in his suit, and you watch his fingers tap anxiously against his knee as the two of you wait for the door to opened.
Maybe you’re more nervous because it’s him. You have no reason to be though, the small part that you saw being filmed was amazing, and if the whole film is like that, then he’s got nothing to worry about. But you know he’s nervous and maybe that’s what’s making you feel the same.
“Doug?” You place a gentle hand over his, stilling the movements of his fingers and he looks back at you, his expression softening as he takes you in.
“You look beautiful.” He smiles and presses a kiss to the back of your hand.
“You don’t look so bad yourself.” You reply and he rolls his eyes. “Are you okay?” You ask and the question seems to take him by surprise.
“Yeah-I. Why wouldn’t I be?” He stutters and you send him a look. He knows you can read him like a book, it’s something you seemed to have mastered by the first day you met him.
“You just seem a little nervous.” You shrug and give his hand a squeeze.
“I’m okay.” He shakes his head. “Maybe just a little bit. But nerves are good.” He finishes and you look at him unsure. “Why? Are you nervous?”
“A little bit.” You admit and drop his gaze. His finger hooks under your chin and pulls it up again so you can look at him. His hazel eyes seem to see straight through you and the way he’s looking at you makes your heartbeat increase. For a few seconds, it just feels like the two of you sitting in the tiny cab.
The rest of the world disappears, it’s just you and him, and that’s all you could ever really need.
“Come on, you’ve done scarier things. Remember when you found out you had to do that British accent. I’m pretty sure you told me, you’d considered dropping out of the film.” He says and you nod your head.
“I suppose, yeah.” You agree. “That was very nerve-racking. Especially when I had to do it in front of the cutest British boy I’d ever met.” You add and he rolls his eyes playfully. The two of you giggle quietly to yourselves
“We’re ready for you.” A tall man dressed all in black tells you once opening the door. You look at Doug and the two of you take a deep breath.
“Are you ready?” You ask and he nods slowly.
“As I’ll ever be.” He grins and you mirror it. The nerves turning to excitement when you think about how proud you are of him. “Wait!” He shouts and you freeze, dropping your purse in fright. “Sorry.” He apologises awkwardly and you roll your eyes at him. “I just wanted to get a picture with you before we’re both whisked off by our adorning fans. I want to show off how lucky I am, and I want Danny to see what he’s missing.”
“Where did you say he was again?”
“He’s off filming some other film. But I think he did a video message or something, basically thanking everyone.” He replies.
“Oh, that’s sweet.” You nod. “Anyway, adorning fans?” You repeat and he nods, a playful smile tugging at his lips. “You know this is a premier for a film that you’re in right? I’ve got nothing to do with this.”
“One. We all know that the majority of the people here, are here for you because they just assume you’re coming with me.”
“They assumed correctly.” You nod and cross your arms. You raise an eyebrow as you wait for him to continue with this point that you know is going to be stupid.
“And two. You have everything to do with this.” He says and your roll your eyes, pushing him bashfully. “I’m being serious Y/n.” He says, making you look at him. “If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t have had the confidence to say yes to all the offers I got, I wouldn’t have been able to recover from the many no’s. I wouldn’t have been able to learn my scripts and come to you for advice and support and just for a hug. This has everything to do with you, and the way you looked at me when you watched me film, gave me all the confidence I needed to keep going, even when the hours were long and I missed you like crazy.”
“Douglas Booth, you’re going to make me cry and my makeup is perfect.”
“And you look beautiful.” He replies and wipes a stray tear away. A curl falls in front of your face and he tucks it behind your ear, his fingers leaving a trail of heat along your jawline. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” You laugh and wipe away another tear.
He gives you one last smile before grabbing your hand. You step out of the cab and into the bright flashing lights and the overwhelming sound of your names being shouted. He looks back at you, concern growing in his eyes but you grin back at him and he mirrors it.
The two of you make your way up the red carpet, posing together and separately as people shout your name from all angles. The camera’s always disorient you, but as soon as you’re back beside Douglas and he wraps an arm around you waist, you feel yourself become more comfortable with the sheer amount of press.
Douglas talks to a few of his co-stars and you take the few minutes of zero attention to really take in the moment. There’s so many people here, all of them to see your talented boyfriend and his friends and you feel like your heart is going to burst with pride.
Your gaze catches Jordan, Drew and KJ, all three of which are staring wide eyed as the real Mötley Crüe walk the red carpet. You watch as they try their hardest not to implode and a chuckle escapes your lips when they finally realize that you’re watching them.
“Holy shit!” Jordan mouths and you roll your eyes. Drew points awkwardly at them and KJ makes small talk with Tommy Lee before he stares at you in shock.
“Be cool!” You mouth back and roll your eyes at your friends. The three of them just stare back at you in shock before they notice Vanessa and Madelaine having a full on conversation with all four members.
It looks like they’ve just bumped into each at the grocery store with the way they’re talking to each other, and even you must look a little surprised.
“I’ve seen you’re show!” Nikki says and your jaw drops. “It’s fucking weird.” He adds making the girls laugh.
“Yeah.” Madelaine nods. “It sure is.” She adds before they walk away to get their pictures taken. Madelaine and Vanessa stare at each other, frozen for a few seconds before they grab each others arms and squeal.
“Your friends sure are weird.” Vince says and it takes you a few seconds to realise he’s talking to you.
“Oh yeah. There are.” You laugh awkwardly and the rest of the band greet you. You take a second to glance back at your friends who are all staring at you with varying degrees of shock on their face.
“Are you ready to go in?” Doug pulls your attention away from the silent conversation you’re trying to have with Vanessa, and a soft smile graces your lips.
“More than ready.” You nod excitedly. “I’m so proud of you baby.” You whisper in his ear and a blush creeps up his neck.
“Not as proud as I am of you.” He replies and nudges your arm. The two of you take a deep breath before stepping through the door, ready for whatever adventure is waiting for you next.

A/N: Jose will be used in the form of Sad Eyes' name, as far as I know his actual name hasn't been revealed in the show. I tried my best to correct any mistakes I could find. I am not a native Spanish speaker, translations will be at the bottom. If there are any mistakes, please let me know. Thanks!
Pairing(s): Sad Eyes x Reader ▪︎ OC x Reader (past relationship)
Summary: A family get-together turns into an emotional rollercoaster.
Warnings: angsty, fluff, language, mentions of cheating, talks of death, unsupportive mother and stepfather
Word Count: 2419

Nana Helen and Papa Victor were absolutely adored by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Not only adored but highly respected.
Therefore introducing a significant other to them was a big deal. It was something only done if you saw yourself with that person in the long run.
And (Y/N) saw a future with Jose.
Sure, she had other relationships before he came along but they didn't reach this step. The furthest they ever got was her parents and siblings. So, when her relationship developed a connection she had never experienced, she knew it was only right to introduce him to the people who meant the world to her.
From her spot in the kitchen, she looked into the living room and smiled as he sat with her nana on the couch. The old woman had pulled out the photo albums, pointing to each picture and telling the story behind it. Her papa in the armchair in the corner beside them.
Her nieces and nephews were spread across the floor in front of the t.v, immersed in the world that was Despicable Me.
She could hear the laughter of her younger cousins upstairs. Not a doubt in her mind that they were doing Tik Tok videos. Her siblings were probably with them, she concluded, if the sound of a slap and a shout of her brother's name was anything to go by.
The uncles and a few of her boy cousins were sitting in the backyard, sipping on beers and talking about Mike Tyson coming out of retirement. She was sure Jose would join them after talking with her grandparents.
Which left her in the kitchen and dining room area with her mother, aunts and girl cousins.
"You shouldn't have brought him."
With a heavy sigh, she turned around and faced her mother, "not this again." She walked over to the sink to wash her hands before helping to chop up the vegetables for the salad. "He's my boyfriend."
Pauline looked at her daughter, "he's a gang member, (Y/N)."
She dumped the cut up vegetables into a salad bowl, "Ash, make yourself useful." She held out the bowl and large wooden fork and spoon. The girl in question stood up, with a huff pocketing her phone, and grabbed the outstretched items.
When (Y/N) introduced Jose to her mother, Frank (she refused to call the man her mother married a month after the death of her father, dad), her brothers Samuel and Anthony, she didn't hide the fact he was a Santo. Although they lived a couple towns over, it wasn't hard to know the gang that ran (protected, she corrected) Freeridge.
But, she didn't care.
He was known as Sad Eyes, the feared right-hand man of the gang leader Spooky, in the streets. If there were issues he was sent to deal with them. He was also known as Jose, a momma's boy with a big heart and an appetite to match. He'd go to the ends of the Earth to make sure his family was taken care of.
(Y/N) accepted both sides of him.
But, most of all she loved both sides of him.
Without another word, she walked into the living room and plopped herself next to her man. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Everything okay, mi alma?"
She nodded, "yeah, don't worry about it."
Helen beamed at the interaction, "oooh." She looked at her husband, "Vic look at our grandbaby."
"I see her." He replied with a chuckle, "and she looks as happy as she was when she got that twenty dollars from the tooth fairy. Maybe even happier."
(Y/N) buried her face into the crook of Jose's neck, causing a round of laughter from the three.
When the call for everybody to come to the dining room, (Y/N) and Jose got up off the couch. Jose helped Helen up, to which she patted his hand as a thank you. Victor waved him off when he tried to offer his hand, choosing to use his walking stick instead. They walked to where the food was, (Y/N) stayed behind to gather the little ones together.
"Lucas and Bryson," she called out to the eight year olds, they were the oldest of the bunch, "go upstairs and tell them it's time to eat."
They nodded and sprinted to the staircase.
She picked up Melody, the three year old, who had fallen asleep on the ground, told the rest of the kids to get going and switched off the t.v. She followed them and handed Mel off to her dad, her cousin Micah. He thanked her and she walked over to Jose, taking his hand in hers.
"Thank you all for coming." Helen looked at her family, all managing to squeeze into the dining room and kitchen, "Jose, thank you for being here."
Jose smiled at her, "thank you for having me."
(Y/N) couldn't help but grin at him, which got a few teasing words from the cousins. She laughed along with them, just happy that her grandma had accepted him.
Victor spoke up, "yes, we're thankful for family," his eyes scanned over to Jose, "we're also thankful to have found someone who loves our (Y/N) very much. So, Jose, thank you… you don't know how much it truly means to see her happy."
He responded with a nod, (Y/N) grinning wider if that was even possible. She was extremely elated, she just received the stamp of approval from her favourite people.
"Te amo," she whispered.
He bent down and pecked her lips, "Te amo."
Victor led the family in prayer, before they dished out their meals.
Loud chatter between the cousins occurred as they tried to decide what to grab, parents telling their children to get some salad and the grandparents making sure there was enough food for everyone.
Before (Y/N) could grab herself and Jose a plate, the doorbell rang.
Pauline rushed towards the front door. (Y/N), just like everybody else, was confused as the entire family had already been accounted for. That didn't stop them from wanting to see who it was though.
When Pauline stepped back into the view of everyone with her ex boyfriend, Colby, by her side (Y/N) thought she might lose it.
Thankfully, before she could say anything Samuel spoke up.
"What the fuck?"
Pauline glared in his direction, "watch your mouth."
Helen and Victor were confused with his behaviour, because Samuel knew better than to cuss in their home.
"Samuel, listen to your mother." Helen reprimanded, "you know I don't like cussing."
"Sorry, nana." He apologised, "but it's fucked up that mum would bring (Y/N)'s ex boyfriend to a family get-together while she's here with her current boyfriend."
Anthony piped up, "straight up, disrespectful."
Everyone looked back and forth between (Y/N) and the newcomer.
(Y/N) glanced over at Jose, noticing his clenched jaw, she rubbed her thumb over his hand and stood on her toes to peck his cheek.
He knew Pauline didn't like him, but he didn't think she'd pull something like this. Unfortunately for her, he and (Y/N) were solid.
Colby held his hands up, "I didn't come here to cause any drama." His eyes focused on (Y/N), "I just want to talk to (Y/N)."
She took a deep breath, "nana and papa, I'm sorry." She looked back at Colby, "fuck no," looking over at her mum, "fuck you," and then at Frank, "and fuck you, too 'cause I know you had something to do with it." tugging on Jose's hand, she moved through the kitchen, "we're leaving."
As they passed through the kitchen, living room and through the front door, (Y/N) ranting along the way.
"What the fuck was she thinking? That Colby would show up and I'd dump you to be with him," she threw her hands in the air, "no fucking way! As soon as I caught him cheating, it was a wrap."
They looked back over at the house, the (L/N) family plus one scrambling out of the door. They stayed on the porch except for Pauline, Frank, Colby, Helen and Victor who marched towards them. They both straightened up, waiting for what was to come.
"(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N)!" screeched Pauline, "what's wrong with you."
"Me? What's wrong with you? Why would you bring Colby here? What the fuck was going through your head to make you think that this was a good idea?"
"He's better than -"
She shook her head, "He's a fucking piece of shit "
"(Y/N), your mum was just -"
"Shut up, Frank." She hissed, "nobody asked for your input."
"Don't talk to him like that."
"I can talk to him however the fuck I want."
Pauline growled, "this is ridiculous," she turned to her parents, "he's in a gang! A c-criminal! You do know that right?"
"Wow, (Y/N)... really?" Colby smirked.
(Y/N) glared at him, "why the fuck are you still here? Seriously, fuck off."
"I want to -"
"Yeah, I know what you want but you aren't getting anything from me." She cut him off, "so go away."
When he stepped towards her, Jose immediately jumped in front of her, blocking him from getting closer, "back up."
Colby laughed, "what? You wanna fight?"
"Back up," he repeated, "last warning."
Helen and Victor carefully watched the exchange, they already approved of Jose, even before Pauline exclaimed he was in a gang - they already knew. He told them himself and while it did make them uncomfortable, their opinion about him didn't change. If anything, they respected him for coming clean in the first place.
Out of all the grandchildren, (Y/N) spent the most time with them.
They watched her grow from a curious child to a reserved teenager. She isolated herself when her father died and it worried them to no end. But they allowed her to grieve in whatever way she wanted. And as she grew into the woman she was today, their worries about her finding somebody worthy of her attention had vanished upon meeting Jose.
They couldn't have wished for a better person for their grandbaby to be with.
"Okay, boys that's enough." Victor spoke up, "Colton -"
"Colby."
" - whatever your name is, move away from my granddaughter or else I'll have to deal with you," he exclaimed.
Colby moved back to stand with Pauline and Frank, whereas Jose stood beside (Y/N).
"(Y/N) and Jose, please come back inside." Helen gestured towards the house, "please?"
"It's fine, nana." (Y/N) replied. "We're just gonna head off, I… I'm, uh… I'm sorry for causing -"
She shook her head, "sweetpea, don't apologise." Her eyes wandered over to her daughter, "it's your mother who should be apologising."
"Did you not hear me when I said she's with a criminal?" exclaimed Pauline.
"As long as my grandbaby is happy, I'm happy." Helen replied, "well, I better get you both a to-go plate."
Before (Y/N) could protest, she was walking away with Victor by her side. She laughed when her cousins scrambled over each other to move out of the way. Her laughter was cut short by Frank.
"Are you sure you want to be with Jose? Like, really sure? Have you met his family? Do you see yourself -"
"Please, shut up." (Y/N) responded, "just shut up."
"I'm not going to repeat myself, (Y/N)." Pauline threatened.
She shrugged her shoulders, "then don't." Her eyes narrowed, "I'm sick of your bullshit. Get it through your head and accept that Jose and I are together."
"Why? When I know you can do better."
(Y/N) scoffed, "really?"
"Yes! I'm your mother which -"
"Which means shit, absolute shit." She responded, "I'm done with you, Pauline. I-I can't keep going back and forth with you."
"What does that mean?"
"I'm tired of feeling like I'm not good enough."
"Okay, when have I ever -"
"When I twisted my ankle in soccer, you told me it was because I wasn't made for it. When I joined the writing club in high school, you told me it was stupid. When I chose to become an elementary school teacher, you told me that I should've become a doctor or a nurse instead." She listed, her jaw clenched, "there's other shit you've done, but I'm too upset to think about them. The main theme of it all is this - nothing I've ever done and probably will do is good enough, in your eyes."
During this time the grandparents had resurfaced onto the scene. Jose accepted the tupperware with thanks and placed it in the car. He stepped aside and watched the scene unfold. He knew (Y/N)'s relationship with her mother was rocky, so he knew that she needed to get some things off her chest.
Pauline scoffed, "quit being dramatic, (Y/N)."
She took a deep breath, tears blurring her vision which she rubbed away. "See, that right there is another issue in itself. Whenever I express my feelings, you blow them off! A-and I'm tired of it. I'm tired of your bullshit, it ends now!"
"Stop the theatrics."
"I don't want anything to do with you," she affirmed.
(Y/N) walked around her to reach her grandparents but was stopped by Colby, "move of my way."
"Please, just hear -"
"My girl says move, you move." Jose asserted, eyes blazing.
Colby, finally admitting defeat, moved aside.
She kissed both of their cheeks and pulled them into a hug, "thank you for accepting Jose, it means a lot."
"He loves our grandbaby." Helen exclaimed, "a done deal,"
Victor held out his hand to Jose, "you take care of her."
"With my life," Jose replied, giving him a firm shake.
With a promise to come back and visit, the pair walked back over to the car. Jose held her door open, (Y/N) pecked his cheek and got in. When he reached the drivers' side they buckled up.
But of course, Pauline couldn't let them leave without saying something.
"You're choosing him over this family?"
"I'm choosing to be happy," (Y/N) corrected, leaning her head out the window, "I love you crazies, I'll keep in touch."
And with the shouts of goodbyes from her family, Jose pulled onto the open road.
With a bright smile, Jose's hand in hers and the low hum of the radio, (Y/N) felt at peace.

I'll always be your hero 《Mirio Togata x Chubby Reader》 Chapter 2
Days later...
"Hon, wake up...."
Mirio shakes [Y/n] calmly from her bed, trying to wake her up. [Y/n] only groaned and turned her side away from her blonde boyfriend. "It's a Sunday, Babe." muttered [Y/n] lazily. Mirio laughs,"I know, but don't you want that thing I promised you." [Y/n] looks at Mirio tiredly. "What thing?"
[Y/n]'s P.O.V.
"Remember, I promised that I'd get you a [favorite/animal] plushie." He reminded me. I turned from him once. "Can it wait, I want to sleep more." I felt Mirio's arms wrapping around my waist, then he pulls me in a instant out of my bed. Quickly getting up, I ran after Mirio, but instead I crashed into my door and landed on my butt. "Curse your stupid fazing quirk!"
Mirio's face phases through the door,"My bad, Hon." I got up frustrated,"You're lucky I love you. Now let me get changed, and I'll be right there." He leaves, while I start looking for something to wear. Just as I look for my clothes, I see a picture of Mirio, Tamaki, and I when we were kids, on the day of my birthday. Because of that, I became really good friends with them since.
"I can't wait anymore [Y/n]. No one came, I have to leave for work." my dad said. I grabbed his arms and pleaded,"Wait! Dad please, just a few more minutes. I know somebody will come. I just know it." Dad looks through his watch,"*Sigh* Alright [Y/n], only five more minutes. If no one comes, then I have to head back to work." I smiled before hugging my dad. "Thanks Dad!"
After getting ready, I walked over to Mirio's dorm, then knocked. "Mirio, are you there?" He didn't answer. I knocked once more and he still didn't answer. That's when I felt a pair of hands on top of my eyes. "Guess who?" "Really Mirio..." His hands left my eyes, the went wrapping around my waist. He laid his head onto my shoulder and nuzzled it. "Ready to go." I replied,"As I'll ever be."

Once we made it to the mall, we walked around various stores seeing if we can find that looks appealing. We came around one shop that had a ton of plushies, which was an advantage for me. I love plushies. There weren't just plushies, but flower crowns, fake wolf & cat ears, necklaces, and bracelets. Looking around, I see identical bracelets, both having a piece of a heart. I decided to buy them, since they looked cute & I've always wanted something like this to match with Mirio. Just as I buy, I saw Mirio had already purchased something before me. We held each others hands & head back to the dorms.

Inside my dorm room, Mirio & I were just layed down, cuddling as usual. "Mirio..." "Yea, Hon?" I asked,"Remember when we became friends, on the day of my birthday.." "Yep, I remember like if it as yesterday. Tamaki & I were heading to your house and I was really exciting to go."
"Come on Tamaki!" said young Mirio with glee. Young Tamaki tried to keep up with Mirio as they were running to [Y/n]'s house. "W-wait for me!" Tamaki shyly said. When the two boys made it to the house, Mirio knocks on the door, which opens to [Y/n] father. He gives off a glance before letting them in. "[Y/n], your friends are here." He calls for his daughter. [Y/n] runs to the living room to see Mirio and Tamaki waiting for her. Her eyes widen with realization. "Y-you both a-actually came..." Mirio smiles happily,"Yea! Why wouldn't we? Oh! This is for you" He hands her a present along with Tamaki. "H-here [Y-y/n], Happy b-birthday." [Y/n] holds onto the present, she looks back at the two boys. She drops them & went straight into hugging Mirio and Tamaki.
"[Y/n]?"
"Thanks you two, so much..."
"I'm still glad that you both came though. I actually lost hope that I even had friends. But when you & Tamaki came, I realized that I do have friends."
Mirio caresses my cheek,"I did promise I'd always protect you." "And that promise still resides in my heart." I said lovingly. I noticed how late it was so I spoke,"You should probably head back to your dorm, it's getting late and we have classes tomorrow." Mirio pouted,"Aaww, come on Gorgeous!" He gives me those cute puppy dog eyes. I just couldn't resist those cute blue eyes. "*Sigh* Fine, ten more minutes and then you head back to your dorm. Got it!" He nods his head in response. "Speaking of which, I got you the plushie I promised." He goes to grab the bag to reveal a cute [favorite/animal] plushie. "Thanks Babe, and I could say the same." I said. He looks at me curiously as I went to go grab my bag. I showed Mirio the matching couple bracelets I got for him and I. He looks at me lovingly,"I love it, Doll."
He pulls me into a warm hug. "I love you." I responded,"Love you too."
Mirio gives me a passionate kiss on the lips before heading back to his dorm. "Wait, Mirio!" He turns back to me. I grabbed his hand & placed the bracelet on it. "You forgot something." I gave him a quick peck before he left. Of course he too gave me a quick peck before leaving. I hope moments like these never change.
Next Day
"Hey, Guritchi! Where did you get that bracelet?" Hado asks with curiosity. Tamaki adds in,"I noticed Mirio had one similar like that." I blushed a bit,"Hehe, well I got it for Mirio and I, so we can be a match." "That's so sweet!" Hado commented sweetly. "What's sweet?" Mirio asks as he heads towards us. "The bracelet you and Guritchi have of course!" Hado excitedly said. Mirio laughs with embarrassment while scratching the back of his head.
As we walked through the halls, we hear the speaker announcing,"Third years, Mirio Togata and [Y/n] Guritchi. All Might is calling for you."
We stopped walking and we couldn't help but be surprised.
"Please go to the counseling office at once. I repeat.."
"Woah! Uncle All Might wants to talk to us, that's so cool!" I commented with joy. "Right! I wonder what he wants!" Mirio wonders. Hado walks up to us. "Hey Togata, Guritchi, what did you do?--Did you both do something that could get you two in trouble" Tamaki asks,"--What could he want with you two?"
I shrugged. Mirio exclaimed,"I don't know, but we've 'To-GATA" go see!"
"Just kidding!" Mirio winked while doing a funny pose. I giggled. "Aw, I was totally not funny again, right? Sorry!"
I responded,"Not quite Hon'."
We head to the counseling office to see Uncle All might. I noticed the green haired first year we meet from before. "You.. are...here!" said Mirio excitedly. "Just kidding! Sorry, I got a little too excited when we heard you wanted to talk to us, All Might." I commented,"Maybe a little to much Hun'."
"Um, I don't really understand what's going on." said Midoriya. "Neither do we. What a coincidence, right?"
"Young Togata is currently doing their work study under Nighteye. Including Young Guritchi, since she's the daughter of Nighteye to be exact." All Might stated. "Is that true, Togata, Guritchi?!" Midoriya said astonished. "Yup! We've been with him for a year now!" Mirio exclaimed. Midoriya spoke excitedly,"Then, when you graduate, you both are pretty much guaranteed to be a sidekick, huh?" I added in,"As long as Dad doesn't change his mind though."
"That's so cool!"
All Might asks,"Getting straight to the point, do think Young Midoriya can work under Nighteye, Young Togata, Young Guritchi?"
"I see, so this is what you called us to talk about, right?",Mirio points out. He zooms right over to Midoriya while wrapping his arm around him. "You want us to introduce Midoriya to Sir!"
"Yeah.."
"But wait a minute Uncle All Might, hate to sound rude, but why do you need to go through us? I've always seen Dad watching old videos of you in his spare time, I'm he'll be real happy if you call him up your self." I questioned with confusion.
"Honestly, I can't really face him right now..." Uncle All Might responds before he mutters,"Because in the end, I ended up exactly as he warned...."
I knew what he was talking about. Honestly I couldn't blame him though. "So anyway, what do you think about Young Midoriya?" I looked backed at Mirio, thinking about what should we say. "Well..." Mirio looks at Midoriya. "What kind of hero do you want to be?" "What kind...?"
Midoriya stood there silent for a minute. He responds,"I want to save everyone with a smile, no matter--" He then stops for a second. "I want to be strong enough that no one will worry about me. To always win.. To always save everyone..." He looks back at us. "I want to be... the greatest hero."
Mirio & I smiled backed at him. "That's a crazy goal." I commented."There' no reason for us to refuse, so we'll do it." Mirio adds in with a thumbs up. Midoriya said with astonished"Really?! Thank you both so much!"
"Yeah! I always thought Sir would like you."
"But we're not entirely sure if Dad will agree to it yet, though." I mentioned. "Even so, thank you both so much..."
The rest of the time Mirio just made funny hand gestures for the laugh of it.
#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~#~
The weekend came, and after a whole hour in the train, we've made it. "This is Sir's agency." points out Mirio. Midoriya gives a stiffed looked. "Hey, don't be so stiff!" It's not good." Mirio asserts him.
I stated,"Like I said before, Dad can be a pretty strict."
"I am fully aware! A hero famous for being strict and on himself and others... Even just watching on TV, his sharp gaze through the screen made me shiver." Midoriya points.
"That's true, too." Mirio explains,"But Sir has a different side to him that you see in the press." Midoriya gives a puzzled expression.
"If you don't want to be turned away, then before finish talking to Dad today," Mirio & I looked at Midoriya and spoke in unison,"You need to make him laugh." Midoriya gave a puzzled look. "W-what do you mean? Make him laugh?"
Mirio opens the door to the building, letting us in. "Despite how he looks, or maybe because of it, Sir really holds humor in high regard. The most we can do is introduce you to him."
"Dad's the one who'll decide if he'll accept you. I wish we could help you though, but from here on out, your gonna need to figure out how to make Dad acknowledge you on your own." I stated. "It's kinda late to ask this, but why are you both being so nice to me even though we've just met?" Midoriya asks with confusion.
"What do you mean, we've barely even know you." Mirio replies to Midoriya. "But what we do know that you have a crazy goal, and you're trying to turn it into reality. Wanting to do what you can to help those in trouble is basically hero 101, am I right?"
Once we were in front of the door to Dad's office, Mirio points at it,"Now, he's just beyond that door." I added in,"If you want to become stronger, then open it with your own strength!"
Just as Midoriya opens the door to Dad's office I replied,"Hey Dad! We've brought the first year Mirio & I told you about!"
The first thing we see is Bubble girl, Dad's sidekick, laughing her ass off while being tickled to death in Dad's machine. She pleaded for forgiveness. By the looks of things, she didn't make him laugh. Sad. I noticed Midoriya looked puzzled at the sudden scene he's witnessing."Mirio, [Y/n], what's going on?"
I explained,"That's my Dad's sidekick, Bubble girl. It looks like she didn't made him laugh, sucks." Dad turned to our direction, he mostly looked at Midoriya with his usual strict stare. Midoriya starts to mess with his hair for some odd reason until, he made a awkward imitation of Uncle All Might. "I'm Izuku Midoriya!"
Which Mirio & I gave a shocked look on the sudden action he just did. Dad just looked at Midoriya with his usual strict scary stare,"Are you... ridiculing All Might?" Oh well, Midoriya is screwed.

The Interview (Tom Holland x Actress!Reader)
Description: You’re Tom Holland’s costar and girlfriend since the end of Civil War. Usually, you go on interviews together, but this time, you are requested alone on Ellen.
I stepped onto the stage with a big grin, waving both hands at the screaming audience before me. The lights shining down from behind the large video cameras were almost blinding, but I was still more than happy to face them.
The interview was one of not many that I would be participating in without Tom. After he'd first asked me out during an interview much like this one, it had become our custom to do these interviews together at the demand of our host. Often, we'd walk onto the stage only to find a single armchair awaiting us. No talk show wanted to miss another big moment in the life of (ship name), as the fans have dubbed us. Finally, though, after about 3 years together, the hosts seemed to have calmed in their demands of seeing us together.
Still, I must admit, without Tom there to calm me down, I was feeling a little nervous. My waist felt cold and empty without his hand to gently rest on it. I sat on the big, comfortable chair and let out a soft breath before facing my interviewer, Ellen Degeneres - one of the kindest people to interview me as of yet. She always seemed so interested in me, rather than my picture-perfect relationship. She doesn't obsess over how cute we are - something I adore about Tom, but that becomes a bit frustrating when having the constantly retell the same story to every single person who interviews me. Instead, she asks me about my experience with the sets and other actors of my movies. I smiled at her, and she sent a warm smile back to me.
"(Y/N) (L/N), it's so great to have you back on the show," Ellen said.
I flashed a wide smile and replied in complete honesty, "I'm more than happy to be here, Ellen."
"I'm gonna get straight to the point here," Ellen said quickly. I laughed a bit and motioned for her to continue. "You died in the last Marvel movie, as did so many others. Lots of fans were disappointed by this, and we were all wondering: will you be coming back? I mean, is this death permanent?" She leaned forward in her seat, searching for some sort of confirmation.
I sighed and bowed my head slightly. "Ellen, you know I love you, but I can't just give away that kind of information-" I was quickly interrupted by some loud protests from the audience next to us. "I'm sorry, I can't!" I shouted, trying to console the complaining fans as best as I could. When the shouts died down, I spoke again. "But I will say this: the fact that so many of you are so affected by my character's death - that you honestly cared about a character who was only just introduced to the movie franchise - just warms my heart. I love you all so much, and I couldn't imagine getting this far without you guys!" Massive applause erupted from the crowd. I laughed and blew a few kisses to the amazing people sitting in those seats.
"Well, as great as it is to interview you, we have a game to get to!" Ellen shouted over the roar, which of course only caused them to get that much louder. I laughed and got up, smoothing the front of my dress before following Ellen to the very large set she'd created. I glanced up to see a large sign that read 'Bed, Wed, and Behead'. I rolled my eyes and sat down in the stool she directed me to. Beside me was 3 empty stalls waiting to be filled with whoever Ellen apparently had waiting in the wings.
"Alright, here's how this game works!" Ellen shouted. The music had stopped and the fans had quieted down. "We are going to bring in 3 young, charming men, and you will ask each of them 3 questions which they have to answer truthfully. At the end of the game, you will choose what each of their fates will be - whether it be death, an exciting night under the sheets, or a new husband!" I laughed so hard, I practically fell out of my stool.
"To my amazing boyfriend, Tom, none of this is real and I had no idea what was going down!" I joked, looking into the camera.
Ellen grinned and turned back to her audience. "Bring out the bachelors!" The music started playing again, and a voice spoke over the loud speaker, "Bachelor number 1!" The fans cheered loudly, clapping and hollering. I raised an eyebrow, wondering who would draw that kind of reaction. "Bachelor number 2!" A similarly loud amount of cheering followed, if not louder. I nodded a bit, slightly impressed that the show had managed to get such popular people. The third bachelor caught me off guard, though. The announcer barely had the time to say the first syllable before he was drowned out by the thunder coming from right before me. I laughed at the big reaction.
"Well somebody's well-loved," I snarked. Apparently the microphone caught my remark, though, because I soon heard some quiet chuckling in my ear.
"Alright, (Y/N), how 'bout we begin? Ask any question you'd like to any of the 3 bachelors, and they must answer truthfully. Who will be first?" Ellen asked, a giant smile across her lips.
"Ok, Bachelor 1..." I thought for a moment, trying to come up with something good. "What animal do you think would make the best pet and why?"
An incredibly deep, raspy voice answered me. "Well, I think dogs are very loyal and loving creatures. You'll always have a friend if you have a dog, so I think I'm going to have to go with a dog." I nodded in approval.
"Bachelor 2, where would you take me on a first date?"
"Well, personally, I would try to take you somewhere nice. Probably a sophisticated restaurant, where we could dress up and have a good time together." This voice was more metallic and robotic. It was obvious that they'd been hooked up to some kind of voice modulator. "Oh, and afterwards we could head back to your place for an even better time together."
I laughed and shook my head, choosing to just move on. "Bachelor 3, what about a third date?"
"Well first..." he started by quickly stopped. I laughed along with the people in the stands at the voice the staff had chosen for him. "Aw, c'mon, guys! Really?!" he complained, the high, squeaky voice ringing through the speakers. "Not cool!"
"Bachelor 3, your answer?" I prompted, smirking a bit.
Bachelor 3 huffed and muttered something incoherent under his breath before continuing. "I would first take you somewhere fun, like laser tag or something, since we already would know each other fairly well at that point. After, I would take you back to either your place of mine so we can relax, watch some movies, and eat takeout."
A slight smile curved the corners of my lips as I remembered doing something similar with Tom, except instead of laser tag, he'd chosen paintball. "Good answer," I grinned. "Bachelor 2! What's your favorite time of day?"
The robotic voice answered easily and without hesitation. "Anytime I see you, hot stuff."
I laughed at the dumb answer that was obviously intended as a joke. "Good for you, Bachelor 2, but you may just have a few bad days coming up if that's the case." A loud, "ooooooh" came from the stands. "Bachelor 1, what do you look for in a significant other?"
"They have to have a nice smile, and they have to be a pretty good cook," Bachelor 1 answered seriously. I raised an eyebrow.
"I might be pretty disappointing for you, then, Bachelor 1," I shrugged. A few chuckles followed before I continued. "Bachelor 3, how would you meet my parents?"
"I'd love to say that I'd be super cool and would immediately impress them, but I'd probably end up embarrassing myself around the people who raised such a great person like you," The squeaky voice responded. I blushed a bit and smiled as the crowd "Awww"d.
"You'd probably get along well with Tom, then," I laughed. The crowd erupted in very loud laughter. I raised a brow in surprise. "Wow, you guys. I'm really not that funny," I chuckled. "Ok, my last question is for all 3 of you. What would be your ideal future? What do you see when you imagine yourself as happy as possible?"
Bachelor 1 answered first. "I imagine a successful career. Something I can use as a foundation to support a future family." I nodded slowly, mulling over his response.
"I see you on my arm as we take on the world," Bachelor 2 quickly butted in. I rolled my eyes once more at Bachelor 2's antics. Silence followed.
I waited a few seconds before speaking. "Bachelor 3?"
Bachelor 3 responded slowly, seeming to put a lot of thought into his response. "I see my kind, amazing wife, our future children, and any future pets together. We're in a house - nothing too big - and we're eating dinner. We're all happy as we joke around the table. Anything else is just a bonus." I blinked in surprise. His answer was so heartfelt, as though he'd imagined this many times before.
"Alright, (Y/N), decision time! Which bachelors will you be bedding, wedding, and beheading?" Ellen snapped me out of my trance. I didn't really need to give it a second thought, but I pretended to consider my options for a moment.
"I will be..." I started, grinning as I let the suspense build a little bit. "Bedding Bachelor 1, beheading Bachelor 2, and wedding Bachelor 3!" Immediate screaming was my only response.
"We'll be right back after this short break, where we'll get to show (Y/N) who she's chosen!" Ellen shouted over the noise. I smiled and allowed Ellen to lead my backstage. I grabbed a bottle of water, practically chugging it. I was actually kind of nervous to see my choices. Bachelor 3 seemed so sweet, and I was starting to feel bad for thinking so when I'm already in love with Tom.
Before I had a chance to overthink things even more, a stage hand was rushing me back onto the stage. Before me stood three big curtains. I walked up to Ellen, taking my place beside her.
"You ready to see your bachelors, (Y/N)?" Ellen asked, taking my arm with a big smile.
"Ready as I'll ever be," I muttered.
"Let's reveal our beheaded Bachelor number 2!" She shouted. The curtain fell, and my eyes met those of Scarlett Johannson. I almost fell over laughing. She was standing in a giant, wooden casket, her arms crossed over her chest.
"I thought we had something special," she frowned, pretending to be offended.
"Sorry, Scar, but you know I still love you," I said, still trying to calm my laughter.
"Yeah, sure," she scoffed after me as I walked to the second curtain.
"Here's your Bachelor number 2!" Ellen announced. The curtain dropped to reveal Sebastian Stan laying across a bed, a long stemmed rose between his teeth. I had tears in my eyes, I was laughing so hard.
"Hey, baby, what do you say we get busy?" Sebastian asked, which of course only made me laugh harder.
"Oh my god, I've been scarred for life!" I gasped between laughs.
Ellen took me to the final curtain, and my laughter quickly died down as my heart started to beat a little faster. I chided myself silently for acting so stupid and attempted to calm myself. I didn't hear Ellen announce the final bachelor, I was just staring at the curtain. It dropped to the ground and revealed Tom standing there with a giant bouquet of red roses. I guess now we know where Seb got his prop. I grinned happily and rushed forward, giving him a big hug. Tom chuckled softly, returning the embrace. After a few seconds, though, Tom let go and took a step back.
"You've asked me a few questions. I think it's only fair that I get to ask you something, too," Tom said. I glanced around warily, trying to figure out what he was planning. "(Y/N), you are the funniest, kindest, most beautiful person I've ever met. All that stuff I said about the future? I was thinking about you. In fact, I've been thinking about the future a lot lately, and I've realized something. The only future I would every really want is one that has you in it."
"Tom, what are you saying?" I whispered. My heart was pounding in my chest, and my eyes were already tearing up at the events unfolding before me.
"What I'm saying is," Tom began. He bent down on one knee. He set the roses down on the ground and pulled a small, velvet box from his pocket. He opened the box to reveal a big, beautiful, shining diamond ring. I hardly noticed the incredible jewelry, though. It could've been a ring pop and I couldn't have cared less. "(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N)... Will you marry me?"
Tears were flooding down my cheeks, and I was so choked up I almost couldn't answer. Finally, I screamed, "Of course I will, you big dummy!"
Tom's face lit up with a smile, and the noise from the audience was almost deafening. I didn't hear any of it, though. All I could focus on was Tom as he stood up and quickly pressed his lips to mine. We separated after a long, emotional moment, and Tom slipped the - of course - perfectly sized ring onto the third finger of my left hand. I pulled him back into a hug as soon as he finished.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Holland!" Ellen shouted, making the crowd grow even louder - something that shouldn't even have been possible.
I smiled and leaned forward a bit, whispering, "I love you Mr. Holland."
The soft reply came soon after in my own ear. "I love you more, Mrs. Holland."

Adam from Degrassi
youtube
Degrassi definitely took me by surprise with the character Adam. I’m aware that they frequently go there with their story arcs (excuse the pun), but yeah I really never thought there would ever be a transgender character on Degrassi. When the news was confirmed I immediately started watching again. (I briefly stopped watching after season 8, so I spent an entire weekend binging season 9 before I started watching season 10 which is the season Adam appears.) Also around this time, I was in a relationship with an FTM so getting to see an actual FTM character on one of my favorite tv shows was a VERY big deal to me.
*SPOILER ALERT!*
Adam is first introduced as Eli (Degrassi’s new resident goth cutie)’s friend and they’re participating in a contest to win concert tickets. I think I remember at one point Adam picks up a speaker and ends up smashing in Sev’s dad’s car light or some shit? Yeah, that’s all I remember from whatever episode that was.
Adam’s story REALLY begins in the two-part episode, “My Body Is A Cage”. The above video is part 1 and here’s a link to part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf8kd-M6_ng
*Warning: Part 2 contains a self harm scene!*
Drew, Adam’s brother is a typical douchey jock, but he’s VERY supportive and caring towards Adam. Adam’s mom is “kind of” supportive, but wants Adam to be “Gracie” when their grandmother comes over for dinner. That bit always makes me sad. I do understand that maybe the mom was thinking, “My mom is from an older generation so she wouldn’t understand what’s going on”, but still that sucks. I feel like once somebody transitions, they shouldn’t be forced or guilt-tripped to revert back to their old gender to keep people happy.
During a ballroom dancing class the teacher calls out “Gracie” instead of Adam and my heart instantly sank. I feel for transgendered people that have to deal with that. I get that people make mistakes such as the teacher or even anyone that forgets names/pronouns, but still that has to cause a shit ton of anxiety and I truly sympathize. <3
After ballroom dancing, it’s made clear that it’s “that time of the month” (I’m glad they put this scene in due to it being something people don’t talk about) and Adam quickly heads to his locker to get a container of tampons which he ends up dropping and Clare (Eli’s soon to be girlfriend and also Darcy’s younger sister) notices, and then covers for him when bullies Fitz and Owen walk by.
There’s another scene where Drew and Adam are getting ready in the bathroom together and their mom calls out “she” instead of he and Adam responds, “Really mom? Pronoun problems still?” His mom quickly apologizes. I mean, at least she tries you know? Adam then meets up with Clare and Eli and finally comes out to them, explaining that he’s a female-to-male transgender and they were very accepting of Adam which in real life I think is heavily important to have some sort of support whether it be from friends, family, or even LGBTQ group meet ups.
Like I said before, I dated someone who was an FTM and they definitely struggled alot with not only wanting to be accepted, but also accepting themselves. Even though I’m not trans, from my IRL point of view, it really can be hard to come out in this society due to pressure and discrimination and even body dysmorphia which is something that’s definitely not talked about enough. Whether you’re trans or even gay. There’s people in this world that don’t even like bisexuals. It’s fucking crazy to me that we live in a world where people are out here being so cruel, saying disgusting things online and committing hate crimes in real life against people all because of who they love or what they identify as.
On a brighter note though, it warms my heart knowing that not only do Clare and Eli know about Adam’s secret, but so does Mr. Simpson who sends out letters to other teachers informing them about Adam and the use of pronouns etc.
Adam begins to flirt with bad girl Bianca, but things quickly go bad when Bianca touches his chest. She then rips open his shirt revealing a binder over his tank and makes a transphobic comment. Adam runs to the guy’s bathroom and is greeted by Fitz and Owen. They try to make Adam pee standing up at the urinal and again my heart sank. Owen then picks Adam up and throws him at the doors breaking the glass. IT WAS SO ALARMINGLY DISGUSTING TO SEE THAT. Like what the fuck??? Drew then starts a fight with Fitz while Owen holds Adam back and the episode ends. I’m not gonna say any spoilers for the second part. You just have to watch it to see the outcome. I will say though, use caution because there is a graphic self harm scene. I’ve struggled with self-harm in the past so I have to look away during that scene. I will also reveal a quote by Clare that she says to Adam in part 2:
“You don’t have to change who you are. Everyone else does.” - Clare Edwards
Truly the most honest thing I think anyone could say in regards to FTMs/MTFs struggles. You really don’t have to change. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you. It’s people that need to change. Their minds need to change. Their hearts need to change. This whole entire world needs to fucking change, or we’re all doomed. There’s too much unnecessary hatred. Life is short as it is. Why spend what little time you have spreading around hate? It’s gotta stop. Bullying has to stop. Harassment has to stop. Discrimination has to stop. All this negative shit is a problem and we need to stand together to solve it!

Understanding the way the British Speak English
Spoken English is in a constant state of change. For this reason, you may find that idioms you learned in class are no longer used by most Brits in their everyday conversations. If you use outdated idioms, it can have funny and embarrassing results as locals may find you’re English rather strange or eccentric.
Therefore, it is important to listen to as much modern English speech as possible and to get feedback from a British friend or teacher to find out what is “in” and what is “out”. Below are a couple of examples of traditional idioms and their modern conversational English equivalents:
A piece of cake – As this now sounds like an old-fashioned cliché, most Brits would use the expression
“No probs!” (No problem) instead. Note that the “-s” on the end must be used even though “No Problem!” uses the singular form of the noun.
Cost an arm and a leg – Brits are more likely to use colloquial equivalents like: “Cost a bomb” (a lot of Money, too much) or “Rip-off” (not worth the money paid, a cheat). E.g. “That old car cost a bomb!
What a rip-off!”
Brits still love to use expressions connected with the notion of “fairness”, which is an important part of the national mindset. E.g. “Fair’s fair”, “In all fairness (to him/her)”, “Fair enough”, etc.
Comparative expressions like “Sooner or later” and “More or less” also remain popular in English conversation.
The use of slang in conversational English
British slang is mostly region-specific, although there are terms that are in general use throughout much of the UK. If you spend long enough communicating with Brits from a certain area of the country, you will acquire local slang words and expressions as they are an unavoidable part of modern English Conversations. The way that slang is used (or avoided) is situation-specific, so if you do decide to learn it, you will also need to know when and where it is appropriate.
The problem of pronunciation and connected speech
Another major barrier to understanding English conversation is its delivery. Brits often speak quickly, use non-standard forms (see above) and are likely to have at least some regional features.
The strength of the person’s regional features usually depends on their social class; the stronger the accent/dialect, the lower the speaker’s social class status. Where accent relates to differences in pronunciation alone, dialect refers to both pronunciation and content (grammar, vocabulary, etc.). When Brits speak quickly, they use connected speech and short forms (contractions like “can’t”, etc.), which can also make it more difficult to understand conversational English.
Tips for improving your conversational English
The key to gain confidence in speaking and being able to understand native conversation is regular practice and greater contact with the language. If you live in the UK, there are plenty of opportunities to go out and engage with the language spoken in your local area. However, if you are studying English in your home country, you are unlikely to have Brits queuing up on your doorstep for a chat! Where geography may be a barrier, the internet provides 24/7 access to all kinds of interesting native English material – from YouTube videos to podcasts, live radio and Google Hangouts. Watching video content on a regular basis can greatly improve your understanding of conversational English and expand your knowledge of popular vocabulary used in the language today. If you would like more structured training, then you could also look for online courses by natives to provide weekly conversation practice and enhance your existing skills.
What makes native English conversation different?
When non-native speakers use English, they often sound overly formal in everyday conversation because of their tendency to use standard forms or “the language of textbooks”. In contrast, when Brits use their mother tongue, they bring together a combination of colloquial English, regional forms (including accent and dialect), slang, connected speech, knowledge of UK culture and other elements associated with their “native language instinct”. Trying to understand this type of conversational English, which is often delivered at speed and with frequent changes of topic, is no easy task if you are learning English as a second language. However, English conversation practice and regular exposure to real British speech can help you speak in a more natural way.
How to kick off a conversation in “real” English
Contrary to the popular classroom stereotype, when Brits meet each other, they don’t start the conversation with the phrase “How do you do?”. This is an outdated expression, which is now confined to formal business introductions and the English aristocracy. Moreover, the simple “Hello!” has been largely replaced by the friendlier and less formal, “Hi!” The vast majority of Brits now favor informal regional greetings over those you will know from your English textbooks.
Here are several examples of common British expressions used when meeting/greeting friends and starting conversations in the UK:
“Alright, mate!” – Common responses might be: “Alright!”, “Hiya!”, “(*Nod*) you good?”
“Hiya!” – A colloquial version of “Hi!”, perhaps more common among women than men
“How’s it going?” – Usually followed by a short answer like: “Yeah, good thanks. You?” or “Not bad, Cheers.”
“How goes (it)?” – A shorter form of the above. There are also funny forms like: “How’s tricks?”
“What (’ve) you been up to?” – An informal way of asking what someone has been doing since you last met. Common responses might be: “Oh, nothing much. You?” or “Had a couple (of pints) down the pub last night.”
Brits will not expect non-natives to know colloquial expressions like these, so you may raise a few eyebrows if you use them. If you spend time in the UK, you will hear greetings like these on a daily basis, everywhere you go.
The wider vocabulary of English conversation
Where written English tends to make use of standard forms, be well-structured and remain on topic, informal English conversation is the opposite – non-standard, spontaneous and chaotic. The speed at which spoken English is delivered can also cause problems for non-native speakers of the language, but perhaps one of the most important barriers to understanding is the vocabulary of conversational English, which often differs dramatically from that taught in English classrooms.
Colloquial expressions vs. standard forms
It is common in everyday English conversations for Brits to favor informal and colloquial language over their Standard English equivalents. Here are several examples of popular conversational words and expressions in British English:
Cheers – This word has multiple meanings, but most non-natives will only be familiar with one – i.e.
What Brits say when they drink alcohol (simple toast). In fact, this word is used more frequently in English conversation to mean: “thanks” or “goodbye”. E.g. when you get off the bus you can thank the driver by saying: “Cheers mate!”
Nice one! – Often used instead of “Well done!” to add more emphasis and emotion in conversational English. Other alternative expressions include: “Nice work!”, “You little blinder!”, “You’re a star!”. In American English, the equivalent would be: “Good job!”
Knackered – Another example of a word that adds greater emphasis when used in English conversation.
This word means “very tired” or “exhausted” and can be strengthened further, as in: “Totally knackered!” or “Completely knackered!”
Gutted – This common UK expression means “Extremely disappointed” and is often used by Brits when talking about football teams losing in important matches, failures at work, girlfriends going off with other guys, etc. E.g. “We lost 5-0 to Arsenal the other day. I was absolutely gutted, mate!”
Dodgy – If something or someone is described as “dodgy”, it means it is: faulty, wrong in some way, possibly illegal or suspicious, not “on the level”, unfair, false, etc. E.g. “Don’t trust John! He’s a bit of a dodgy bloke.” (suspicious/criminal), “Watch yourself in that pub, mate. It can be a dodgy on a Friday night.” (Meaning that you may get into trouble – beaten up, etc.), “My phone’s gone a bit dodgy. Can I borrow your old one?” (Faulty, not working properly, “on the blink”).
Bird/Bloke – These popular colloquial terms are used to mean “Woman/girl” and “Man/guy” respectively. “Bird” is similar to the American word “Chick” and would not be used in the presence of the woman being discussed. In contrast, the word “Bloke” is not perceived as rude.
Phrasal verbs vs. formal terms
Conversational English in the UK has a tendency to use phrasal verbs over their formal equivalents. This often poses difficulties for non-native speakers as phrasal verbs are notoriously tricky to learn and are usually avoided as much as possible by those studying the language. Sounding natural in English conversation means getting to grips with phrasal verbs – both in terms of understanding and usage. Here are some examples of common phrasal verbs used in modern British speech:
Nip/pop out – This expression means “Go out for a short time”. E.g. “I’m just nipping out for 5 minutes.
Can you take a message if anyone calls?” or “I’m popping (out) to the shop. Do you need anything?”
Turn up – Often used instead of “Arrive” or “Appear expectedly”. E.g. “We hadn’t seen Emma all morning, but then she just turned up.” or “Don’t worry about your (lost) keys. They’ll turn up.”
Pick up – A phrasal verb meaning “Collect” (on foot/physically or in a vehicle). E.g. “Give me a shout (call) when you want me to pick you up from work.” An alternative would be: “Give somebody a lift” (in a car).
Run out (of) – A common expression used in English conversation to mean: not have any remaining/left, be out of something (a product), use up. E.g. “We’ve run out of milk, so you’ll have to have your coffee black. That ok?”
Head off (up/down) – Brits often use phrases like “I’m (going/heading) off down the pub” or “You off up to Scotland next week?” This can be confusing because there is not necessarily any slope or gradient involved in the perception of whether the destination is up or down in relation to the speaker. As a rule,
Brits say “up north” and “down south”, but when going to the pub it is more usual to say “down” than “up” (unless the pub is specifically located at the top of a hill).
Popular expressions vs. outdated idioms
Spoken English is in a constant state of change. For this reason, you may find that the idioms you learned in class are no longer used by most Brits in their everyday conversations.
E.g. “Fair’s fair”, “In all fairness (to him/her)”, “Fair enough”, “Fair play”, etc.
Brits often speak quickly, use non-standard forms (see above) and are likely to have at least some regional accent and dialect features.

Announcement
Hey everybody, we are now live. Welcome to Hump Day Hangouts. This is Episode 306. Today is the 23rd of September 2020. And this is the last Hump Day Hangout before we live 2020. So if you have not got your ticket yet, head over to cope with live.com, we still got some open seats left, the VIP tickets are gone, there is one VIP plus ticket left. And we got again, some extras for the main tickets where you can still get access to all of the presentations to the case studies. And then you can pick up the executive summaries and you’ll get access to the recordings. So again, if you haven’t yet and you didn’t see the emails that we keep stacking some pretty good bonuses and then this last one, I don’t want to give it away if you’re not on the email list, you need to hop on the list first. That’s the only way you’re gonna get it but we’ve got a free consultation going with one of the presenters who’s doing work as a digital marketing and SEO agency with fortune 500 companies so Enough said that’s just a little teaser because everyone on the email list is getting a shot at that. So before we dive into questions and talk some more about POFU Live and what I was going to they’re gonna say hi to everyone real quick so start at the bottom and work my way up. We got her on Hernan wearing a nice sweater today you look kind of nice.
Ah Oh, man. I’m excited about POFU, man makes black buffalo is coming bro Where the fuck is your ticket? Go to pofulive.com and get your ticket.
All right, I’m not sure whether to be scared or excited but either way, I get what Hernan is throwing down. So I think what are you trying to say that people should come to join us? That should go to footballlab.com I went live on the Facebook group. I think today talking about my topic for Saturday is gonna be pretty awesome. So I’m excited about I’m excited to see what you guys have to share. But I’m excited about what I have to share as well. So it’s gonna be pretty cool. Definitely. I am looking forward to all of them. So let’s, let’s move up here Marco, how are you doing today?
Got you looking a little different. You kind of look dressed up to you got a call? You know, it’s Look, I had to break up my vintage search shirts. somebody commented on it from a previous something. Someone said, Hey, man, nice shirt, like your shirt, whatever. So I said, Hey, you know, I got other vintage shirts. Let me stop breaking them out. And I got a place that I order from also where they have like a whole stack of shirts men from I don’t know, Hawaiian and all these different shirts. So there you go. And
Need I say more. Yeah, POFU. It’s Groundhog Day, man. But this is my POFU, right? We define it as doing what you want to do, instead of what you have to do in whatever it is right.
And even when you have to do something, it’s because it’s what you want to be doing. Think about that. It sounds like an oxymoron having to do something that you want to do or want to do something that you have to do. But it is how we do it is going to be shared on Saturday. Well, this week, not that this Friday, but Friday is going to be a drink off Bradley against anybody who comes up. So there you go. I’m putting my money on the breath.
That is awesome. Yeah, I think we just had one of the VIP attendees ought to go and check if he posted his picture yet. He said he got his beer delivered. It’s in the fridge and ready to go. So looking forward to that on Friday. I am not gonna challenge, Bradley. I’ve learned my lessons and meeting up with you guys that we all trying to say is good. I’m not. I’m just saying I feel it after we get together. Man. We have a good time. But I got a detox after we meet up so it’s not just you, man. It’s not just you, man.
All right, well, Marco is going to be kicking off Sunday at POFU Live so he has got the first talk after we get things going on Sunday. So looking forward to hearing what you’re going to be throwing down Marco. Yeah, I shared see but my mini mastermind gets most of my stuff man mo I’m not gonna say all because I got to keep one in the chamber man just in case. People can turn on your you got to be able to pop them off. So just in case, I keep on back, but they get most of it. So they got a little taste of what I’ll be doing during my presentation. And you know how I toggle my presentation, right? Like, last year? Of course, it was it’s all in your fucking head. And that’s what I went with now this year is going to find out on Sunday.
Outstanding Well, speaking of Sunday, discussions, and presentations Chris, how are you doing today? Doing super well here. I’m still somewhat here surprisingly. So yeah.
And I still have a little bit of work to do for my presentation. So like a bit of fine-tuning. But what I got so far, super exciting, so be excited as well. Cool. Cool. All right. And we were just everyone who’s watching before we right before we went live, I think Bradley, you said you’re, you’re doing a bunch of work on what you’re going to be talking about. Right? You said you were just cranking out some lead gen prospecting stuff. Yeah, I’m still working on the prospecting machine that I’ve set up. It’s, it’s working really well, I just started, I had done it before with some different applications and such, and I’m using a new app. Now that kind of combined everything all into one. And it’s working really, really well. I’ve been prospecting pretty heavy this week. And I’ve got several appointments for lead buyers for Tree Service guys to buy leads from my own assets. But yeah, it’s working really well. And I keep adding to the prospecting machine to make additional automation. So like, even more, follow-ups get added to it all the time. So it’s a work in progress, even what I’m going to be teaching about is that this weekend for POFU Live, but it’s not done, it’s not complete in that I keep adding to it. So over the course of the next couple of months, POFU Live attendees, we have a membership area. And so I’m going to continue to add to that, just like we did last year and the year before so that we can add, you know, I can, I can continue to refine it, make it better, and provide that to the post live attendees. And once it’s finalized, to where I’ve got it to where it’s not a whole lot of tweaking left to do, then that’s when I’ll end up sharing it through in the mastermind as well. So that’s usually within you know, six, eight weeks after the live event, I usually end up sharing what I shared a few live in the mastermind, you know, bits and pieces of it anyways. So I think it’s gonna be pretty valuable. It’s working really well for me. And I just hope that other people can put it to use for them as well. Outstanding. All right, and just before we got on here, I just updated the POFU Live page. We’ve been going back and forth with our last potential speaker, as well as he’s going to be presenting a case study. So I’m really happy about this Jeremy Gottesman and owner of press advantage is going to be joining us so on Sunday afternoon, he’s got a case study lined up going to drive about driving traffic with mass content syndication. He also might be pulling back the what I call it, the pulling back the curtains on a project he’s working on so we’ll see about that but really excited to have Jeremy join us. Of course, we’re going to have Jordan Fowler, Jeffrey Smith, Brian Caddo, and all of us you’re seeing here are all going to be giving presentations on top of that. Rob Beal alright guy running MGYB dedhia. If you have ever been on a PO foo live, you probably heard one of us mentioned dedhia is going to be there talking about the link building wizardry given some insights there for that everyone can put to use. So like I said, head over to POFU Live.com. We are going to shut down ticket sales at midnight on Friday so that everyone has a chance to get the info they need and be there sharp and early at 9am this Saturday, and you’re going to get to look at Hernan dancing in a sunglasses the whole week. No, just kidding. If you want we’ll make him not do that. So anyway, regardless, we’re looking forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions, either leave them on the page here or just shoot an email to support at Semantic mastery.com and we will get you sorted out as quickly as we can. One more thing that I need to comment on because you mentioned Jordan, like people you are presenters, like our rock stars, Jeffrey always brings the heat beyond all of our people. But Jordan, his presentation is what is going to focus on content, how to get your content razor-sharp, and we talk about this is our mini mastermind, this is what takes place we talked about how to get that content razor-sharp for the AI right for the artificial intelligence so that you focus right on the body presenting your entity the right way correctly. So he’s showing how content how you can focus your content to activate this bot so you can tell the bot exactly what your website is about because if you leave the bot to guess I don’t give a shit how good that AI is. It’s going to screw it all up now on top of that he’s going to show us fortunate enough to attend how to monetize it. So you’re gonna make your money back, you know how many times like how can you put a price on someone teaching you how to monetize the content that is razor sharp already to produce results. So think about this so and the guy’s a master you guys know what he’s doing out in his neck of the woods in a what roughly 20 million people metropolitan area Metroplex. So, you know, he’s killing it. He’s killing it. Brian is out there, in his neck of the woods doing the thing he does people in my mini mastermind with somebody who’s going to be lucky enough to be able to join my mastermind. So you get access to all of this. And they’re just like if you’re not hyper-focused on getting to pole for how to get the pole.
How to get in razor-sharp for that process, then we’ll help you along the way. I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that. And I don’t know what that’s worth, I can’t tell you to let my guys tell you what it’s worth being that mini mastermind. That’s awesome. Yeah, I should have definitely talked about those a little bit more. But I’m glad you brought that up Marco because that is going to be some powerful stuff. So I know a little bit about what Jordans been doing some of the success he’s had. So that’s just, I mean, I’m looking forward to all of these, but that’s another one I’m looking forward to it, I can see some great opportunities where I can put it to use for not only myself but potential clients not even do SEO for clients anymore. But there’s some great stuff here that you know, could be their add on services, or again, doing it for my own projects or ourselves. So really looking forward to that. Thanks for adding that.
Alright guys, anything else before we dive into questions?
Nope. All right, Bradley. Let’s do it. Grab the screen.
Firstly, make sure I’ve got all my sensitive tabs. Closed or hidden week. Yeah.
Call it what you want.
Alright, let’s do this.
You got to see my screen correct.
out now we can. Okay.
All right. So let’s see. Where do we start? Also, how about this man when it rains, It pours. We have got the questions today. Geez. Oh, man. Yeah, see that? Yeah.
What WordPress Plugin Do You Recommend For Adding Schema To A Blog?
That’s awesome. Thanks, everybody. For all the questions. Yeah. Let’s, uh, I guess let’s dive into this.
Uh, okay, cool. Let’s start here. Three days of cats are from seven days ago, I believe this was right at the end of the webinar or the hump day hanging out last time, but we’ll answer now Is there a WordPress plugin for adding schema to a blog that you recommend? The only one that I use for adding schema that has like schema? Like a schema generator in it is Seo ultimate pro?
There are other plugins out there that do it. But I don’t know. I’ve not used any of them. So I the only one that I recommend is Seo Ultimate Pro. Do we have a link for that guys? Or no? Yeah, let me grab that. Anybody else has a comment on that? SEO Ultimate Pro, absolutely. The header inserter. Hmm. The way you can insert custom code, as I’ll go and I because I like doing my own coding my own schema. But the inserter code allows me to control it, where it goes by post, by page. What goes where so I really like that function, man. Because you can get down into the nitty-gritty. I’ve also coded my own plugin, which if you’re, of course, one of our paying members, I’ll probably give you access to that where you can dynamically insert schema. This is especially for e-commerce is I’ve been doing some e-commerce lately. So if you need to insert schema, custom schema, and there are things that change, because you have products, then I’ve developed a plugin that will dynamically insert that schema. So it’s pretty good. It works pretty well. Yeah, to be clear.
If you already have schema code that you just want to add to different pages, there’s a number of plugins that will do that, like so go add header, the footer is one of them, there’s a number of plugins that you can do for that. But if you’re looking for a plugin that will generate schema code or structured data, that’s why I mentioned SEO Ultimate Pro, because it actually has both of those functionalities in it. One is on every page or post, it has a schema code generator at the bottom so that you can mark up that the content or the elements of that page or post. But then also there’s the code inserter module and the code inserter plus module and SEO Ultimate Pro, so that you can add code to different pages or posts or, you know, media files or whatever it is that you want to do, you can add to those as well. So it actually does both of those things that will generate structured data, as well as it will allow you to insert code via the code inserter module into you know, various pages and posts and get very granular. So there’s a lot of control available in that plugin suite.
Does Any of Network Empire’s Old WebRing Videos Still And Can It Be Used Together With Semantic Mastery’s Drive Stacking?
Okay, moving on. The next one is Olga says hi SM. I watched your recent Hump Day hangout video and Bradley mentioned he followed the Network Empire when he got started. Yes, I did. Are there any old webring videos? Is any of their old webring videos still relevant? If so, can it be used together with drive stacks as taught by Semantic Mastery? Thanks. Yeah, there’s no doubt though, they’re still relevant. So you know, it’s interesting but the syndication networks that I built I was building before I even knew about network Empire, excuse me network Empire. I didn’t get introduced to Network Empire think until 2013 I believe. When I went to Nashville for what was it OMG live in Nashville. That’s when I got introduced to Network Empire. So I was already doing what network Empire considers what they call webring one right. So are ones which is building branded properties syndicating content to what a republishing to those, but I was doing that already with syndication networks and IFTTT, and so. But yes, when I went, that’s why I was so attracted to Network Empire because when I got introduced to them at the OMG live event in 2013, they started talking about w r1. And web 2.0s and all this stuff. And I was just like, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing with syndication networks and I, at that time, I didn’t fully understand why syndication networks worked so well. But that’s where Network Empire came in is they really took that idea that I was already using, and kind of expanded on that for me, so that I got much more knowledge as to why that worked. And again, that was really the beginning of the Semantic Web. And that’s why when we formed our company, we caught it semantic mastery is because it was about developing those semantic relationships between all those properties, increasing your brand footprint online. All of that is still absolutely relevant today. Some of the methods may have changed slightly, but as far as the the the theory behind it, it absolutely is, is applicable to even projects today. So there’s a wealth of information that you can get from them as well. There’s no question about it. I’ve got nothing bad to say about Network Empire at all. So anybody wants to comment on that?
No, I don’t know enough about what they’re doing now, to be able to comment. I mean, what they were doing? Yes, a lot of it, I would say it’s isn’t even necessarily going out any further than tier one. The way that we do it is through link building. And I guess you could call them kind of, like rings kind of like, but it’s different the way that our approach is a little bit different now. But yeah, totally their branded ring, and they’re what they call their golden frame. And all that’s still relevant, how they do it and where they do it. Like I can’t say, I can’t say I can only comment about what we’re doing now and how we approach the Semantic Web.
So see, the follow-up question on that was if so can it be used together with drive stacking is taught by Semantic Mastery? Absolutely. That’s what I mean. Again, that’s kind of what Marco was just saying was, you know, the way that they teach building out, they teach something similar in that the WR ones and WR twos are almost like SEO shields, right, which is what we do with drive stacks, except we just use Google properties to create that SEO shield and why because Marco always calls it or says it’s where, you know, we’re in the belly of the beast. And we’re basically using Google’s own narcissism against itself to benefit our own properties. So but yes, again, Network Empire training, works very well in conjunction with our training. And even today, I know that they still use you know, drive stacks and such a lot of their members actually buy drive stacks from us. So I don’t know why you buy them anywhere else to be honest with you.
What Do You Mean By Jumplinks In The Drive Stack Strategy?
Alon is up next she says, I guys, just wondering why you use the Google slash URL question mark q equals in front of your web 2.0 and links in your G stack properties. Marco, do you want to? Do you want to reveal why we do that?
No, it’s not something that out that I’ll get into in a free group. We get into the why in heavy hitter club, we get into the why. And always Academy reloaded them the Semantic Mastery mastermind otherwise, not something I’ll talk about. Yeah. So yeah. And that’s why I asked Marco because there’s a specific reason why we do that. But it is something that we talked about in the paid group. So I didn’t want to reveal that here. Unfortunately, Alona let’s just say it’s beneficial to do it that way. So that’s why we do that. But far beyond that. The next question is, and by the way, if you know if the heavy hitter or excuse me, if semantic mastery mastermind is too much for you, as far as a monthly commitment, or, you know, several grand on RYS Academy is too much for you then join heavy hitter club, right. And that’s technical SEO stuff where so a lot of the stuff that’s covered in heavy hitter club is also covered in the mastermind, but the mastermind also covers about business building management, outsourcing prospecting client, you know, getting all that kind of stuff. So there are different levels for reasons, right if you just need technical SEO advice, heavy hitter clubs, your best bet.
So I would encourage you to go check that out.
Is this what you mean by jump links are a type of redirect. Well, that’s a redirect that’s a type of redirect specific to Google, but it’s not a jump link and jump link is when you have an anchor link. And I don’t mean anchor text link, I mean, an anchor link. So you can just go to Google and search what is an anchor link, right. And if you’ll look probably w three schools will come up and you can read about what an anchor link is. But that’s essentially like a table of contents on a page. Do you know what I’m saying? So like, for example, if if you can create a link, like an in-page link so that when you click on that link, it jumps to a specific spot on that page. It’s very easy to set up again, go to W three
Or just go to Google and search anchor links, create anchor links, what is an anchor link, and you’ll read about it. And it’s a very, very simple code to create anchor links. And those are very, very powerful, because you can link to specific parts of a page doesn’t have to just be an in-page link, what I’m saying is, you create the anchor link, but you can link to that specific part of a page or post, externally, right, so you can, you can use the link directly to that. So that’s what a jump link is. They’re very, very powerful. Use them very strategically. And you can get really good results from that. Does anybody want to comment on that? All of this, as you said, is readily available if you search Google, and you’ll know what a redirect is, and what a jump link is, how we use them. And how we strategically place these to get the maximum effect is, again, something that we only deal with, in the paid groups. And if I see you, as a matter of fact, commenting about my shit, and other groups, especially in the free groups, I get very upset. And I’ll call you out on it because I don’t want that.
This is what’s ridiculous to me, man. So you pay a whole lot of money to come in and learn from us to come and get a strategic advantage over everyone else. Then you go to a free group and try to look good. By thinking that you’re looking like like, like a pro, like an expert, Ninja fucked or whatever the fuck it is that you’re trying to look like. And you’re giving away the shit that you’re paying for? It is that come on there. Come on, I think I see. And I see you. I see when you go and do it. You think that I don’t know, someone will come and say, Hey, Marco, someone’s sharing your shit. And then sure enough, there I go. And then I’ll reach out to you privately and you’re not gonna like that. Just so you know. So to clarify, or to be clear was that wasn’t directed at olana? Was it? Not something that cuz he’s not one of our members. Okay. That’s a general comment. I’m just saying in general, coming to people who are paying us and then going and sharing. Now, I only share the good stuff in the paid groups, or once it’s become general knowledge as to why and how, but the why and how to keep that unfair advantage to yourself. So Ilana, if you go and you invest your time, your hard-earned money and time into learning all these things? Would you then go and give it away? Absolutely not cheap, your advantage, your time that you spend coming to here and asking us questions, and going into Google and researching cost you money. So don’t give that away. Go go and go in and apply the shit that you learn. And like totally rock here, your providers will or the sorry that that person do that you’re doing SEO for rock his world rock her world? And then trash more money, but don’t go give it away? Because then what value do you have to offer that somebody else can’t, and they’ll undercut you? They’ll find out who you’re who it is that you’re doing work for.
And they’ll come in at a lower price with the shit that you gave away? Yeah, it’s on you.
When Would You Start Using Paid Traffic To Give Google A Heads Up About Your Business?
Okay, so she’s got a few more questions here. A while we got a lot to go through today, so I’ll try to run through this very quickly. Few paid traffic questions. You’ve mentioned using paid traffic at the start of your SEO campaign to give Google a heads up about you. When would you start using it straight away? Or once you have all your stack citations and everything set up? Um, you know, it just depends. Typically, it depends on what the project is, for me, I’m generally I will run inexpensive traffic, which can be achieved through YouTube, but more likely for clicks directly to web assets, whether it’s a money site or Google properties, display ads work really, really well for that, because the thing about YouTube which might answer the default.
The next question, YouTube ads are more about views to the video, right? Don’t get me wrong, if it’s a good video, if there’s a compelling offer, then you will receive some clicks from the video to whatever destination or target that you want to drive the traffic to. But YouTube is more about I use YouTube ads or Google ads for video, specifically more for helping the video to rank or also for branding purposes, right. So I use YouTube ads to help the video rank if I’m trying to have a video rank. But I really don’t care about a video ranking so much anymore. I really just don’t oftentimes it will rank because of relevant traffic coming to it. But the engagement signals that you’re buying from Google, but I honestly don’t really care much about ranking videos anymore, because I get all the traffic I want from using Google ads and it’s inexpensive, so there’s really no reason for me to go through the trouble ranking videos. a byproduct of relevant engagement relevant views to a video is that it will often rank if the video is optimized to rank. So besides that, use YouTube ads to create branding more or less branding campaigns to constantly expose the brand to potential customers, right. So it’s not so much about driving traffic from the video to the destination. Although I always put a call to action, right, there’s always a call to action to click. But it’s, I don’t get a whole lot of clicks from that I do get clicks, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t get a whole lot of them. It’s more about views. So that said, Display Network ads through Google Display Network ads, when somebody clicks one of those ads, it goes directly to the destination. Right. So it’s not the same as watching a video. It’s remembering what the YouTube badge it’s it’s a two-step process. The first is to get the video seen. The second is to get somebody to click from within the video to the destination, which is where you want them to go. But with a display network ad, it’s the click, it’s a one-step process, that click goes directly to your destination. So I like to use Google Display Network ads for the kind of activating SEO work that I’ve done. And for that, I’ll drive it directly to usually the money site sometimes, if it’s a local project, to the GMB website, or to the Google Map, because both of those are good signals as well. Um, but so usually, I just wait until the money site is ready to for some traffic, and I have the GMB set up the Google My Business profile set up, I don’t usually have to wait, I don’t Excuse me, I don’t usually wait until like I have all this syndication network and drive stack and everything else done because I don’t typically drive traffic to any of those properties you can. But I just usually drive clicks to the money site, the GMB website, or the GMB map. And those are the three things that I typically drive to traffic to. And with that, again, as I said, it’s most of the time I use Google Display Network ads because they’re very, very inexpensive, you can get really, really granular with your audience targeting. So it’s a relevant audience, your geographic targeting, you can get granular with that as well. So you can get highly relevant clicks from specific geographic areas, especially if it’s for local, from known audiences that are in the market or are, you know, interested in by Google knows that they’re in the market or highly likely to be interested in whatever the product or service it is that I’m promoting? Does that make sense? So hopefully, that was clear cleared that up.
You mentioned using YouTube to drive traffic, are you creating videos around your niche? Sorry, sorry to interrupt you. Um, I was, I want to say that. This also applies if you want to do some Facebook traffic or Facebook ads, I’ve started working with a client that, you know, they had, like, I don’t know, three years worth of content, but their SEO wasn’t as good. So I started working with them and the SEO side of things. And what happened is that I started running some Facebook ads for their, you know, for the sad demographic, and also for relevant, you know, locations and whatnot. And that started moving the needle without doing anything else. Because I think that that also comes from you know, you have a digital persona, and you have a digital footprint. So of course, Google Drive, it would be better, but, you know, Facebook traffic, especially traffic to a blog post that they had actually started pushing the blog posts a little bit up better, just because of the fact that we were getting real traffic, real interaction, real signals, you know, people were staying in the side, they were visiting several websites and whatnot. So I think that could be also an alternative. And it’s also cheap traffic, you know, so that’s also uncertainty. So if you drop like Facebook traffic on the zip codes that your potential customer or client wants to, you know, serve, I think that that could help as well. Kickstarting your SEO for sure.
Yeah, absolutely. We call it the art of art, right? activity, relevance, trust, and authority, how you get the activity in there is essential. I mean, you don’t have the three pillars unless you can achieve that.
Adds for branding, especially are crucial. We’re in the Semantic Web, we have to make our entity clear, we have to make everything about our entity clear. And they’re calling it things, not strings, but it’s still keywords. I don’t care what they call it still work. And it’s still a sequence of numbers. At the end of the day. It’s all math, right. But we have to still present that to Google in such a way that it makes a difference from any other visitor who’s not really interacting with your website. I mean, think of the billions of people who access the web. And how many of those people will come to your website and actually interact with whatever it is that you’re presenting really makes a difference. And so sometimes we achieve that without any paid traffic. Yes, using paid traffic. I mean, we can and I often do, but using paid traffic strategically to reinforce the brand and to get people to notice the brand and to give people signals about the brand because they’ll often go and search more about the brand. So while you can’t see this from the ad, necessarily, or they’ll tell someone about the website that they saw all of these things coming together, total that activity, then that there’s a relevant cinched in there. And then there’s the trust and authority coming in. Because Google sees that people are giving you the information that you’re looking for they taking the action that you’re looking for on the website, all of this coming together is what we call the art of art. You can’t have it without one of the three pillars missing. So if you’re looking at your project, and you’re trying to determine what’s wrong, it’s generally one of those three things. And the process, our process takes care of all three. If it’s sick in one way, we know exactly what part of our process takes care of the activity, the relevance, and the trust and authority.
Do You Create Videos On A Specific Niche And Run Ads To Them?
There you go.
So the next say, you mentioned using YouTube to drive traffic, you creating videos around your niche and running traffic to them, or buying ad space on audiences you want to target. Yeah, I mean, again, it’s about I like to try to use in-market audiences or life event audiences, which are predefined audiences, however, you can create custom audiences. There used to be custom intent audiences. And then there was what’s called affinity audiences to which was already defined audiences. Custom intent is where you submit the criteria to Google ads to define an audience. And I’ve talked about that extensively in some of our training again, Adam, I know I asked this all the time. But do we have a link to the YouTube ads for local? Course? I don’t, yeah, let me grab that. Okay, because that’s a course that will help you out a lot. It’s a YouTube ad for local, you can apply that even if it’s not for local, you can still apply the same strategies to a national campaign or whatever. But I go on very specifically on how to create custom intent audiences. And now they’re called custom audiences Google over just like the past week or so has actually merged affinity audiences and custom intent audiences. But the point that I’m trying to make is I always try to buy traffic from relevant audiences both topically, right, which would be like an in-market audience or life event audience or custom audience, that I define what the criteria or the parameters are. And also geographic if it’s for local, which everything I do is for local. So if it’s for geographic, or local projects, I always said geographic targeting as well. So yes, I’m specifically buying engagement signals from a specific audience, right. Last is if you do produce videos, say you have a local roofer, what sort of content would you produce q&a type of stuff, no, I don’t produce videos at all I stopped doing that years ago, other than the stuff that I do for semantic mastery. And a lot of client videos like in other words, like, you know, videos, for prospecting, and that kind of stuff, I don’t produce, like lead gen videos and things, I just don’t do it anymore. I go to Fiverr. And I buy him there. And I’ve got some providers in Fiverr that I use regularly to create commercial like type videos, right? I provide maybe some images or perhaps some images with some short video clips that then they incorporate into the video that they make. And then I add, usually, I provide a script and they either provide the voiceover or I will either record the voiceover myself and submit the voiceover to be added to the video when they render the video. or hire a voiceover from Fiverr voiceover talent to record the voiceover. A lot of times I just record the voiceover myself because I write the script. So I just record the audio file and then send that one I ordered the gig from Fiverr and they produce the video and there are some pretty good providers in there for you know, 50 bucks, you can get a really nice video created with a voiceover track background music and everything, you know, 30 to 62nd video for around 50 bucks, some are more expensive, but you can find decent providers on Fiverr that’s what I do. You know, again, it’s more about the branding for YouTube ads than it is about providing producing traffic although you will get some relevant traffic if you’ve got your targeting right.
Okay.
Have You Used Reddit Ads For Local Campaigns?
Have I used Reddit for ads for local? No, I’ve never been a fan of Reddit. I’ve always hated Reddit, just because I just always hated it. So no, I’ve never done anything with Reddit whatsoever. And anytime I years ago, when I tried to do any SEO stuff in Reddit, my reddits would always get deleted or my accounts would get suspended. So I just I don’t do anything in Reddit at all. Does anybody want to comment on Reddit? No, I can’t comment on it because it’s on Reddit because it’s a foreign beast and I yeah, I don’t understand it. I don’t understand people in Reddit because the same people in Reddit will have one opinion there. And another opinion like in Twitter or in Facebook so well What just happened? You were just disagreeing you’re … we lost your mic.
Still nothing.
How about now. Don’t think Yeah, I don’t know what happened. It just got a hold your head just right, apparently.
All right. Next is uh, yeah, by the way, Reddit, those people in there are brutal. Right now let’s hear from someone who actually uses Reddit. So I think it’s interesting. The only thing I actually have to add to this is just to check and see if they can do local target localized targeting. I’m sure that they can. But the one time I tried it was years ago, and I don’t think they had a very sophisticated targeting system. I think that’s changed now that they’ve taken on investors. So I’m sure that they have, but just make sure before you spend a lot of time looking into this that they can do actually what you want to do in terms of our Yeah, yeah. Remember, I remember Adam, when you, you attempted that for us for Semantic Mastery. And that was right after Reddit opened up their advertising platform. Yeah. Yeah. So that was, it had to be pretty crude at that point, I’m sure.
What Do You Recommend For Video Syndication Software Similar To Tubemogul?
Okay, next is Chris says, Hey, guys, wondering if you have any recommendations for video syndication software back in the day I used tubemogul. I used tubemogul too. I remember that. Before I got bought by Adobe, is there anything good you guys use like that is like IFTTT, but to help spread videos across different websites? No, but you know, I looked at some of them, I don’t know, six months a year ago, somewhere around there, all I would do is just go look for like video distribution software or something like that. And just go search and start doing some,
you know, look at some of the different types of potential district video distribution, the software’s out there, maybe try different keywords, video syndication applications, you know, something like that, do a couple of Google searches and just start researching what you find is different products and find something that looks like it will fit for you. I know there’s some out there I because I’d actually looked at doing that a few months. I don’t know, six months a year ago, I just never never never pulled the trigger on it. But I do understand the point. So take a look at it. Does anybody want to comment on that?
Well, okay, moving. I didn’t know if maybe Adam or Hernan had any ideas?
Do You Suggest Copying And Pasting The Schema Markup From The SEO Shield ID Page To The Money Site?
Okay, next is Ed says, do you suggest copying and pasting the schema markup from the ID page to my SEO shield? Or the ID page of my SEO shield on to my money site to mirror best for implementation? Good idea, bad idea. Any better ideas? Or should the ID page stay standalone? Don’t want to F the money? Don’t want to eff up the money site. Thanks, ed. Yeah, I mean, that the structured data code on your ID page should be the same as what’s on your money site. Except for perhaps, at least the way that I do it except for perhaps the URL for it from the schema code. So for example, the schema code that goes on the money site, the URL field points to the money site, right, and then there’s the ad ID page and all that other stuff. And that all points to where it’s supposed to point to. But then on the ID page, I always put the URL is the ID page. And then the ad ID page is also the same. But it’s the same code essentially. And the difference is the same as in the same as schema, I always put the sameas attribute in the on the money site points to, even though there’s an ID an ad ID designation. I also point the same as to the ID page, like I put a sameas attribute to the ID page. And then likewise, on the idx page, I have the same as attribute the points to the money site. Marco, correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s, I don’t think the structured data should be any different on either one of them really, besides No, no, because you’re mirroring your entity, except for the fact that of that URL change, it’s the same as changes, because now the schema page is the same as the money site, but the money site would then have the schema page.
Same as, right, so you need to flip those. And that’s the only difference that you should have. Because it’s basically the same thing, your distribute, it’s an entity stack. It’s your entity stuck. That’s all it is. And so everywhere that you can replicate the entity, the information should go there.
Yeah, and it should be the same because you don’t want to be the same. Yeah, you don’t want to have different entity info on different assets. Because again, that can start causing ambiguation or confusion to Google’s algorithm. So definitely keep it the same that goes to the press advantage page to your organization page. The same thing, I do the same thing there. It’s the same schema code. It goes into if you have an account, you can add your own structured data to the organization page, do the same thing there, the URL points to the organization page. And then the same and the same as attributes it points to the money site and as well to the ID page, and all of that. So it’s the same code and all three locations, the only thing you do is swap out those couple targets to make it appropriate for the asset that it resides on if that makes sense.
How Do You Get The PUblic URL Of The Amazon S3 Folder Where Uploaded Press Release PDFs Are Located?
Mr. Nashville, Tennessee. All right, he says, When creating PR stacks and uploading the press release PDFs to Amazon s3. How do we get the URL for the folder to build links to I created a public folder and loaded it up with PDFs, the PDFs can be accessed publicly. But when I go back a level to the folder, it just tries to download a zero bytes file without showing anything. You know, I don’t know, because I’ve never done that. Mark might be able to answer that I’ve never tried to power up an entire folder. I’ve only powered up individual file URLs within s3. So I don’t know if you can do that or not Marco, do you know, can you make a folder public in s3, you should be able to but I’ve never tried. That’s what I use it for.
And so I can’t help with this. Unless I go look, if you’re in the heavy hitter club, by all means, come in, and we’ll check it out for you. But I can’t say anything about it without testing.
Yeah, and I’m just wondering, Yeah, that’d be something interesting to test because even if you’ve got a folder, the folder URL, but when you visit the folder URL, it’s prompting a download. I understand that. But what I’m saying is, could you still pass juice to that URL? Even if it’s not like a destination that will render in a browser? In other words, if it’s, it might prompt it as long as they’re public? But yeah, can you still push juice link equity into that folder? to that URL, regardless is what I’m saying? I would say absolutely. As long as it’s public. Yeah, that’s what I would think as well but I haven’t tested it so that’s interesting. Now that would be an interesting test put that on your list for heavy-hitter club Marco.
Do You Know A Good Banner Widget For WordPress?
The list just keeps growing and growing. Yeah. George’s up says hi guys started this off-topic was wondering if you knew of a good banner widget for WordPress?
No, unfortunately, I don’t I would just google the best banner widget for WordPress or best banner plugin for WordPress and then just go again just go start looking through them and try to try to find one that meets your criteria and your price range and all that kind of stuff. There are probably some free ones out there Honest to God that I’m rarely using other than some basic free plugins almost every time I have the opportunity to purchase the pro version of a plugin I do because they’re usually rather inexpensive and you get a lot more functionality out of them and usually better support if needed and all that kind of stuff. But yeah, just I don’t I can’t help you with that. Unfortunately. There’s one that I used but it wasn’t based on location like the one he wants, but it was like banner rotator It was like yeah, banner rotator I think that’s the one that’s how he was called it was banner rotator. So we rotated banners. And we’ll tell you the best-performing ones in terms of CTR something along those lines. So binary rotator plugin, I think it was pretty clear for us, but you know, like, yeah, there you go. But advertising that I think that was the one advocate, but I’m not entirely sure if that Well, yeah, that was the one advertised. But I’m not entirely sure if that will do what he wants, which is, um, you know, show different banners based on location and stuff that that one should still rotate back, I guess his ad rotate professional. Mike Lee has that. That’s what I was talking about, guys. Yeah, maybe, you know, a lot of the times the pro versions of a plugin will have so much more functionality that will I don’t know, I haven’t researched this. But that looks like that might be one also the fact that it was updated just three days ago. Excuse me, right there. It says three days ago. That’s really important, too. That’s also part of the reason why I like to go with plugins that have a paid upgrade version, because those plugins, typically, even the free versions of them, as long as they have a paid upgrade version of them are supported and constantly updated. If you go with strictly free plugins, a lot of times, that’s not always the case. But what I’m saying is a lot of times those plugins don’t get updated as often. Because they don’t have the revenue to support it. That makes sense. So anyway, check out that that might be one that works for you. Otherwise, just do some Google searching. Use Winter logic isn’t updated. But you can get widgets to control these other plugins that will control widgets so that you can display the banners where you want. Yeah, another one I use is a widget context. I like to use that one a lot. I’ve got that in multiple sites right now, actually. All right. Well, this one did logic isn’t updated, but it still works. Yeah. Um, okay. So why use? I read through this, and I appreciate you pointing. I’m not going to read this out loud, because it’s really just kind of an opinion that you have not necessarily questioned. And I appreciate that anybody that’s watching this webinar can read through this if they’d like.
As far as basically saying, using Microsoft, OneDrive, as opposed to just strictly Google Drive. And the end he points out several reasons why he says that might be wise. And that’s cool, and I appreciate that. Those are all good points. And I do like how you thought that out with the new Windows installation, Windows 10s installations, and force, you know, or by default, it’s using the Microsoft Edge browser and all that kind of stuff. So there are some really valid points that you make in your comments here. And I appreciate that. And I’m sure I have no doubt in my mind that Marco and Rob, who are resident SEO testers, and you know, godfathers of SEO as Marco is called, I’m sure they’ll test this if it gets to that point where we need to. So I appreciate that. Yeah, I would just add that it’s the 8020 rule, where most of my traffic coming from if I can get the bulk of my traffic, I don’t want to learn another, although it’s like, we basically know the algorithm because we know algorithms. It’s just, yeah, I read the comments also, and I appreciate it. And we have a time said, it depends on your niche. Because if you if you’re targeting older people, then, of course, it makes sense to go to Bing. But if you know your audience, and you know that most of your audience is coming from Google, why would you go anywhere else? Yeah, that doesn’t and doesn’t make sense. I always tell people, how much time are you going to spend on it? How much is it going to cost? And is that going than to make sense? How much are you going then going to have to charge your client? And is that going to make sense to the client? All of these things have to come together? Yeah, I understand perfectly. It’s older people. I’ve said that before, that it is older people in business, but in AOL, especially how much financial sense doesn’t make to dedicate that much time to target those people in Bing, when you’ve got your client maxed out, like when you can’t do anything else for that client, in Google, by all means, go elsewhere. Until then, there’s just so much money to be made manipulating Google, that I don’t need to go anywhere else.
Yeah, and that’s kind of like I do a lot of Google Ad stuff. For tree services now. And you know, I’m doing a lot of Google Ad stuff, and I could, I could run Bing Ads, too. But there’s such a small percentage of traffic there. It’s not worth my time to do it. So like Marco said, 8020 to 80% of my traffic comes from, you know, Google alone, like, why would I bother with the other 20%? Which would be big, you know? So again, I’m not saying you can’t, I’m just saying I don’t do that. Just because again, it’s you know, I get a lot more bang for my buck, so to speak, by just working directly within Google.
Does It Matter If You Have A Backlink From HTTP Rather HTTPS?
Okay. Yep. I’m sorry. Go ahead. No, no. Yeah, absolutely. I agree. 100. All right. Here’s BB. What’s up, baby, we wondered where you are. I did anyway, hi, guys, doesn’t matter if you have a backlink from HTTP rather, rather than HTTPS site? No, it shouldn’t matter. As far as I know, it doesn’t matter at all. Marco, does it?
It doesn’t, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is the activity, trust, and authority of the site activity relevant just authority of the website that’s linking to you. Not HTTP or HTTPS, so it shouldn’t matter. Yeah, as far as I know, it doesn’t matter. I could be wrong about that. But, you know, Marco says it as well. I agree. I’ve never really cared about that. Never, never looked into it much either, though. So anyway, why is the mgyb.co? What’s the RDS? I d? str? I don’t know if the domain score domain rank, I think, but okay. Which, which is a third party metric. Yeah, but which one? I can’t keep track. I don’t know. I don’t know if that’s Ahref or I don’t know. That might be SEMRush, it doesn’t matter, BB makes no difference Dr. Ds or whatever the fuck relevance is what matters, activity, relevance, trust, and authority. The relevance especially has to be there. Unless the trust and authority are such that it makes no difference that the link is it has no relevance. And there are those websites where if you can get a link from Google, no matter where you can get it, it’s good.
The next question is why is the mgyb.co more powerful than the raw URL as anchor straight to the money site back? Like, I’m not sure I fully understand that question. Except, do you know, okay, um, yeah, I’m not sure what you’re asking there. Maybe. If you don’t want to clarify number two, I’ll try to answer it later if we have time, which I don’t think we will today.
Is It Better To Create Multiple Articles With One Link To The Money Site Instead Of 2-3 Backlinks In It?
But number three, you say the power of a backlink gets divided between multiple backlinks from the same article created for backlink purposes, such as a press release. So is it better to create multiple articles with which have one link to the money site instead of an article that has two to three backlinks to the money site? And how does it fall within PR stacking? Yes, I mean, so here’s the thing, you know, you have a certain amount of PageRank or link equity, whatever you want to call it flowing into a page, right? So let’s say a press release, for example. Then if you’ve got one link within the content of that press release, then all of that PageRank is going to flow through that one link, or there’s some slight loss through the asset itself, the page itself, but it’s small, it’s nominal. But if you have three links, then it’s going to be split by three. So each link gets 33%. Does that make sense? So yes, if you want to focus more, then you can do that with one link. I typically, like I’ve said through like our PR stacking webinar, and everything else, the way that I typically do it is I do three links. Usually, it’s going to be one link to a blog post. If that’s what I’m highlighting, which is primarily the method that we that I use, then there’s going to be a link to a previous press release within that same PR stack, that silo stack, right, press release silo stack. And then there was usually a third link that goes to one of the branded assets, tier-one assets. But it doesn’t always have to be that way. If you’re trying to push on a specific keyword or to push more power to a specific destination, then you could just do one link to that destination that you want to push to just keep in mind that if you want to keep that kind of daisy chain linking of the silos using press the press release silo, then you’re going to want to link back to the previous press release in that same silo. So there would be two links with that. But so what I’m saying is, if you’re wanting to use PR silo stacking, then you would limit and you want to push more power to your target URL, um, you know, other than the previous press release in that same silo, then just you’d have two links in that press release. I typically, as I said, I just do three links, I do one to the dark target URL that I’m trying to push relevancy to, one to the previous press release in the same silo, and in one to one of the tier one entity assets for that brand. That’s just, that’s just the way that I develop my processes. And that’s how my VA is or my bloggers or to the press releases. So but you can, you can change it up. Remember guys, we give you guidelines or like kind of best practices, but we encourage you to test other things as well. Okay, any comments on that?
Yeah, I only use to target the initial, the initial press release gets one link to the target page, and then one link elsewhere it usually GMB to start it off, then as you know, we linked we daisy chain, those press releases, and then one other link will go elsewhere. But I’m pushing all of that juice from one press release to the other. And that final press release is going to the page. And then I do some other shit that I won’t share here that has some fantastic. So let me get ridiculous to clarify because I’m, I’m confused a little bit. So every subsequent press release and your pre our silos only link to the previous press release not to and then one other and then one other, like okay, tier one property. So two links per property. Never any more than that, too. Right?
kay, so tu tu tu tu, one of those will be two up to a previous press release, of course, in that in that same stack, yeah. And then wherever I want to push additional power, that will still end up and I’m giving away too much. But it all goes and works really well and flows really well. And right about Presley’s four or five, sometimes three, you’re going to start seeing that power push and it pushes more than when you build links into that when it’s all set up. And you’re pushing the team into your GMB and that set up correctly. And you’re pushing into the drive stack and G site and that’s put together correctly and that’s pushing over to that page. That’s when the magic happens man.
How Do You Deal With IFTTT’s Paid Service In Order For The Networks To Work?
Okay, we’re almost out of time. I’d like to run through at least three or four more really quickly, guys. So let’s go through like a lightning round if possible question from Paul F. He actually reached out to me via email with this question, and I said I’d address it today on Hump Day Hangouts. This question has come up multiple times. Guys, please understand that IFTTT has is going to pay but read what they say about the different plan levels, right, there’s the free account and it says you’re only allowed to create three applets you can turn on as many applets in your account as you as your heart desires, but you can only create three applets then you can go to a pro-level, which you can pay like 299 a month or whatever the hell it is. It’s very inexpensive. And there you can create applets um, you can create unlimited applets So my point is the free IFTTT accounts, you can still have all of the syndication applets in that account, and you can turn them all on you can only create three applets within a free account. Okay, the paid account will allow you to create as many applets as you want. That’s the only difference. So the point is if you buy networks from us, you’re still to get the network the IFTTT account set up with all the applets in there that we need for our syndication networks to work, okay, you just can’t go in and create any more than three. And if you already have applets in that account that are all turned on, then I don’t know, you might be able to create them in there if you if you’re not created, the ones that we provide. So my point is just read what it says very carefully. And it specifically states that you can turn on as many as you want. With the free account, you can only create three and a free account though you have to go to a paid account before you can create additional applets. Comment. Nope, perfect.
How Do You Prepare For The Time When Google Turns Off The Old GSites?
Oh laughs next, how do we get prepared for Google turning off the old g sites? Do we know if the links will be redirected, go into Google your old g site, log into that the sites google.com click to the classic sites, when you pull up and when you go to Edit whatever sites are in there, right? So click the site, it’ll prompt you to switch it or convert it to the new site. And then it went through that prompt process. It’ll ask you to if you want to keep the same URL or the old URL, check to keep the same URL otherwise all of the old link building and everything else, I don’t know if an automatic redirect is set up or not. Because I’ve just always said keep the same URL and convert to the new sites. But at some point, Google is going to convert the old sites to the new sites on its own if you didn’t go in and initiate that ahead of time before that deadline, comments.
How Do You Use The Excel Report in MGYB’s Keyword Research Service?
Now, moving on. Jason Gerald says I have purchased the keyword research but would like a better understanding of how to use the Excel report. Do you have a video or something that can review this with me?
I can’t remember if we did a video, but it tells you right in right in the legend. When you get the spreadsheet delivered there, there’s a legend on there that tells you exactly what the H H tab is and what it’s for. If you need more information than that, then like I’m not sure that we don’t have enough time here. But I think we did a keyword research video. I’ve done it before where I’ve explained the link building game and what to do because the three categories that you get are free, it’s all suggestions for you to follow, but you know your niche better than we do, and how those keywords that we give you in that niche apply to whatever it is that you’re doing all we can give you suggested keywords, questions, answers, everything that we found relevant in your niche sometimes we do provide you some irrelevant results but I mean that that’s a small percentage of the overall thousands and thousands sometimes hundreds of thousands of keywords that you get use the categories that we that suggested categories, use them as silos, start your silos there and then use the supporting keywords that we give.
Should You Use Full Text Or Summary Of The Feed In The Syndication Network?
Or you go man is a lot of good questions. I wish I had more time guys I’d stay and answer some more. I’m sorry, I’m not gonna be able to get to all these. Uh, next is called purchases syndication network wanted to know if feeds need to be full text or if summary will do also any advice for optimizing the efficiency of syndication networks. Okay, I always prefer full text. The reason why is because summaries when you go into WordPress settings reading, then you can select whether your RSS feed shows a summary or full text of the posts in the feed. I like to select Full Text because first of all summary posts will look kind of spammy on the blog accounts within the syndication network. So word blogger, Tumblr, WordPress, they can look rather spammy because they’re just short snippets as opposed to the full-text post is not full context there. Also, I like the fact that when you have the full text, they in any internal links from your post body with that you publish to your blog, right with an internal link to the pages that you want to rank, silo architecture, internal linking strategy, all of that those links will be present in the post that gets published on the blog accounts especially but also in like the drive, Google Docs. So like the Drive folder, and all that all of that full text means full text, including the links will be included in wherever it gets syndicated to where the full text is published some of those like bookmarking sites, it won’t do that. But for the blogs and like WordPress and one or excuse me, a drive and one OneDrive and all of that. It will post create those links as well. Okay, so I prefer that.
What Form Creator Do You Recommend For GSites?
The last question is five o'clock we probably need to go really quick fit says drop the link to the charity Marco, would you ever do? Okay. I’ve also dropped some links to YouTube videos that we have on syndication networks that we did April of last year and then the webinar that we did for mgyb.co for syndication networks also for the one who was wondering about syndication. Yeah. Um, he asked me
Do I recommend a good form creator that would work for G sites? Well, I’m using an app called lead simplify for lead generation. It helps to distribute leads to buyers and that kind of stuff. And it, I’ve got a form creator in there. That’s awesome. And I use that in G sites. But I think any sort of like Form Builder plugin for WordPress, it a lot of the times if you upgrade to a paid version like I know, there’s alike, I think one that I just recently tried was formidable, is what is called, but a lot of those form plugins. WordPress form plugins will have a pro version I just talked about that earlier, which will give you the ability to create, like embed codes out of the forms, and that kind of stuff. So I would recommend that anybody here have any comments on that? No, no, same as you Yeah, just find one that works and make sure it can embed. Okay, and the last, the last part of this and then I’ve got to wrap it up, guys is uh, he asks, If you’re running a link building gig, and instead of the hundred links that have asked for you only run to five or six is that good strategy? Yeah, fits, you don’t have to submit 100 target URLs, we just say that’s the maximum that you can submit. So yeah, if you’ve got, you know, if you’ve got very specific targets that you’re trying to power up, then you don’t need to submit any more than just those specific URLs. That’s just we just provide that as a maximum so that when somebody gets like their syndication, their SEO shield back, and they’ve got their syndication, network properties, all their drive stack files and folders, and all of that, you can put those all in one link building gig, up to 100, your target URLs, and then submit all of that so that everything starts to get powered up. But I all the time. There’s a lot of times I’ll buy a link building gig, specifically to just one URL, like So literally, like even a Nitro kit link building gig to go to one page on the G site if I’m really trying to push power to that one page for some reason. So yeah, it’s just a guideline. Okay. Okay. Well, thanks, everybody for being here. Don’t forget POFU Live this weekend again. Got your ticket yet go to pofulive.com. We’ll see you guys there. Thanks, everybody. Bye, everyone, everyone.

Chapter Nine
Dan needed to talk to somebody. His emotions were getting out of hand, his confusion making his head spin. He felt as if he was questioning everything in his life, as if his entire world was crashing down around him. He didn’t know what he was really doing anymore or what he was actually feeling.
Sometimes when Phil looked at him, he would get a strange feeling in his stomach, as if he had swallowed a ton of bees and they were trying to escape. It wasn’t the most pleasant thing, but his body reacted in the weirdest of ways, making him blush like no other, making him feel quite unlike himself. It was how he’d felt with Cheryl, except, there was no way he was able to feel like that. He wasn’t gay. That’s not how it was supposed to work.
It had to be alterous attraction, attraction that is indistinguishable between platonic, romantic, or sexual attraction. People often feel like this about their friends, don’t they? Where they can’t tell whether they want to date them or just be their friend? That’s a thing, right?
It was definitely what Dan was feeling. He was just feeling platonic attraction for his friend, nothing more. He just wanted Phil’s health and happiness and was extremely happy around him and it was making him confused, even though he didn’t need to be. So what if they’d done sexual things before? Dan would do that to help a friend out. It wasn’t a big deal, didn’t mean he would have sex with Phil.
God, he needed to talk this out. He needed to talk to somebody, anybody. But who would listen to him rant about something like this? Who wouldn’t judge him, wouldn’t tell him that he was a freak? After the whole party fiasco with Cheryl, Dan had lost most of his friends. Hell, he never really had made many friends at college in the first place, instead sticking to Cheryl like a wet sponge and calling the man he cheated on her with his ‘best friend’. He had nobody. Nobody he could talk to about the demons terrorizing his brain. But maybe… Cheryl had been Dan’s friend before they started dating. They did everything together, talked about anything that was on their minds. She was the first person Dan would go to whenever something horrible happened, the first person Dan had told when he lost his virginity for the first time. The thought of telling her the feelings he was harbouring for Phil made him absolutely terrified, but he didn’t know where else to go. If he held this in any longer, he might just explode.
So he called her. He calmed the shaking of his hands and dialed the familiar number, holding the phone up to his ear while holding his breath. She answered on the third ring, sounding pleasantly confused. Dan didn’t blame her. Why would her ex boyfriend call her after a horrible breakup? It just didn’t make sense. But nothing Dan did made sense anymore, anyways. “Dan?” She asked, and she didn’t sound pissed, which was a good sign. “What are you calling me for?”
Dan cleared his throat, tried to erase the uncertainty from his voice, but it didn’t really work. His voice wavered anyways, making him sound like a lost puppy. “I didn’t know who else to call,” he admitted. The wind blew around him and he cupped his hand over the receiver so his ex could hear him better. “I have a situation and nobody I can talk to about it. I know you probably hate me or something, but can we meet up? I really need to get this off of my chest.”
There was silence on the end of the line. She was probably trying to figure out the best way to tell Dan to go fuck himself, to tell Dan that he was useless and she never wanted to speak to him again, to tell him that she moved on and he was so pathetic for calling- “Of course we can talk. Did you want to get some lunch from the dining hall? You know I’m always here for you, no matter what happens between us.”
Dan’s heart squeezed in his chest. He couldn’t help but wonder if she would still say that after she found out what he did. What he did with Phil. When he cheated on her with his own roommate. He was a fucking disgrace. “I…” he breathed, relieved. “Thank you so much. That sounds wonderful.”
They hung up quickly, no dilly dallying or apologies between them. Perhaps that would come later. Perhaps it wouldn’t even come at all. That was fine. Dan knew that he should get different friends so he didn’t have to talk to his own ex girlfriend about this sort of thing. He wouldn’t blame her if she walked out today hating his guts. The dining hall was a nicely decorated place with art hanging on the walls and fake palm trees in every corner. It always played nice music, Red Hot Chili Peppers blaring through the speakers. It made Dan want to dance usually, but today he just felt as if the music didn’t really match his mood. It was a strange feeling. There was a buffet table in the middle and different fast food joints decorating the hall, completed with circular tables scattered all over the place. Students were either chatting amongst themselves or studying for exams, and soon Dan would be joining them. He sat down at the nearest table, taking off his leather jacket and hanging it on the chair. He took out his phone and unlocked it, pursing his lips when he saw two texts from Phil himself.
Phil Lester
Where r u? Hope you arent dead. Bring back food if ur not a ghost
The texts made Dan smile and he shot off a quick response to tell Phil that he was with Cheryl and to get his own food, and then he was interrupted by Cheryl appearing out of seemingly nowhere. “Hey,” Cheryl said cautiously. She was as gorgeous as always, her golden hair falling in waves down her back and her blue eyes lined with perfected black eyeliner. She had some sort of gloss on her lips that made them look particularly kissable. Except Dan didn’t feel the need to drag her into the other room anymore. He didn’t feel that certain warmth that coiled in his belly when he saw her anymore. What was wrong with him? She took a seat in front of him, having already grabbed some food (a cheese pizza and grapes from the looks of it), and gave him an uncertain smile. He smiled back, internally grimacing at the awkward atmosphere. “It’s nice to see you again,” he said quietly, watching as she pushed her grapes around with a fork. She sighed, not sounding too happy. “Look, Dan. I know our breakup was hard on you, but I don’t want to get back together, okay? Our relationship was all about sex at the end and I think it would just make us both happier if we didn’t try to mend what we had.”
Dan gaped at her. “I- what?” He sputtered.
“I just don’t think we’re good together anymore. We can be friends, but I don’t want anything more with you.”
He stared at her. She stared at her grapes. She was… completely serious. Dan snorted and covered his mouth with his hand, trying to stifle his laughter. Cheryl’s eyes shot up and she stared at him in disbelief. “I mean, yeah,” Dan told her warmly, grinning at her. “I couldn’t have said it better myself.” Cheryl opened her mouth, one brow arched in questioning, but Dan cut her off before she could say anything. “I actually wanted to talk to you about something else. It doesn’t have to do with our relationship. Is that alright?”
Now it was Cheryl’s turn to stare at him, to which he stared levelly back. He didn’t get lost in her eyes this time, like he used to. After a moment of staring, they burst into loud, gasping laughter. Laughter that filled the entire hall, that melted all of the awkward feelings from before. Dan felt as though he finally got his friend back. “Well, shit,” she chuckled. “My bad. Of course you can talk about something else. And here I thought you were going to beg for me back!”
“No offense, but no,” Dan told her, and they both grinned at each other again. “I, erm, actually wanted to talk about…” he paused, trying to figure out how to say this. He sighed. “Phil.”
“Phil?” Dan nodded. “I’m just going to come out and say it, alright? You’re probably going to hate me, but I just really need to get this off of my chest. It’s literally keeping me up at night and confusing the hell out of me. I have no idea what’s going on. I’m sorry that I have to talk about this with you, but I literally have no other friends anymore, so you were my last resort.”
There was a hand on his own all of a sudden, one soft and warm and reassuring. Dan smiled gently, and held Cheryl’s hand. It was a touch that told him that it was going to be alright, that he could talk about whatever it was he needed to and Cheryl wasn’t going to get mad. If only she knew. “Dan, you’re okay. I’m here for you. Talk to me, alright?”
“Okay,” Dan said. He gulped, closing his eyes. He didn’t think he could bear seeing her expression when he told her. “For the last few months, Phil and I have had this… thing.”
“Define a thing,” Cheryl said softly. She didn’t sound upset yet. Trying to get everything out at once, Dan started to speak quickly and without taking another breath. He knew that the words were most likely slurring together, but he often talked quickly so Cheryl understood every word he was saying. She didn’t let go of his hand. “I walked in on him jerking off one day and offered to help. We kind of started a thing when that happened. Whenever we needed help to get off, we would help each other out. We’re both straight, so we convinced each other that we weren’t cheating on our girlfriends. We were friends, so we were just helping each other out, you know?” Saying it out loud was so fucking embarrassing. Dan wanted to hide. He never wanted to be seen again. He never wanted to open his eyes again. How could he admit something like this? “But lately it’s been getting so confusing. When you and I broke up, I realised that what we were doing counted as cheating. It didn’t matter that we were straight because at the end of the day, I still had his dick in my mouth. So we called the arrangement off. I couldn’t live with the guilt knowing that he was cheating on the girl he loved with me, but he refused to acknowledge that he was even cheating on her.”
He groaned loudly and threw his head back, marvelling at the fact that Cheryl was still holding his hand. Why was she still holding his hand? Why wasn’t she disgusted with him? He just admitted that he cheated on her. That he sucked his roommate’s dick. Why wasn’t she screaming at him? “Even though we stopped, I still get these dumb feelings. I don’t really understand them. I don’t think I wanted to stop, you know? Doing that stuff with him… it felt good in a way that I really can’t explain. Like an adrenaline rush that you wanted to get every second of the day. But then sometimes my mind tricks me and says ‘hey! Dating this guy wouldn’t be so bad! Maybe that would be cool!’ Except for the fact that I’m straight. I don’t like guys. I haven’t liked guys in the seventeen years I’ve existed, and there’s no way in hell that I should even be considering it now. I just. I don’t understand.”
Cheryl was quiet and Dan was too afraid to look at her, so he just kept his eyes squeezed shut. He braced himself for the worst possible outcome, for Cheryl to call him a disgusting cheater and a faggot and shame him for all that he did. It didn’t come. Instead, she squeezed his hand tightly. “Dan, look at me,” she said softly. Slowly, he cracked open his eyes. What he saw shocked him. Cheryl didn’t look mad, not even an ounce of anger within those blue irises. She had a soft expression on her face, even a hint of a smile. She wasn’t disgusted. She wasn’t pissed. She wasn’t upset. She was smiling. “I’ve been trying to get you to open up to me ever since the start of school. I’m so incredibly glad that you trust me enough to tell me something like this.” “You- you’re not mad?” Dan stuttered. She shook her head. “I’m a bit hurt that you didn’t tell me what was going on, but I’m not mad. That’d make me a hypocrite, wouldn’t it? We both fucked up, we both hurt each other, we both screwed around with people that weren’t each other. What we did wasn’t okay. It will never be okay. But what would be the point in getting angry? We broke up weeks ago. We already went through all of this shit. And now you’re coming to me, obviously very upset and asking me for help. You’re being honest with me and you’re admitting that you majorly fucked up. It had to have taken some guts to do what you did.”
Dan could feel himself tearing up, but he willed himself not to break down. What Cheryl was saying was an actual miracle. He couldn’t believe that she was willing to forgive him so easily after what he’d admitted. Now he understand why he had loved her so much. She’d always been extremely understanding of people’s mistakes. “Yeah,” Dan said quietly, giving her a weak smile. “Thank you. You don’t know how much that means to me.”
Cheryl nodded at him. “Of course, Dan. As for your sexuality,” she continued, scooting her chair closer to him so she didn’t have to talk so loud. “You don’t have to figure that out right now. Labels aren’t important. What’s important is how you feel. From what I hear, it seems as if you quite like Phil a lot. You said it yourself that you didn’t want to stop the thing you guys had and that you sometimes wonder if you want to date him. It sounds like a bit of a crush to me.” Dan flinched and he could feel himself curling into himself. Liking a boy? That’s… no. He can’t do that. He can’t handle that. Cheryl must have sensed his inner fight because she continued quickly. “It doesn’t mean you have to act on it. Hell, it doesn’t even mean I’m right. I could very well be wrong. All I know is that you don’t have to put yourself into a box right away. There are so many sexualities out there and just because you like a boy doesn’t mean you’re gay. The most important thing is that you’re comfortable with yourself. And I’ll sure as hell be here to help you through it.”
Dan couldn’t help it. He was too overcome with emotion, too touched, that he launched himself at Cheryl, wrapping his arms around her. She squeaked but hugged him back and he took this as his opportunity to bury his face in her fluffy hair. “Thank you, Cher,” he breathed. He didn’t know how to articulate what he was feeling, really. He just knew that he had been nearly hopeless before, drowned by his own mind, but then there was Cheryl, full of hope and understanding, telling him that there was absolutely nothing wrong with him and that she was there for him. It was a breath of fresh air. It was the smell of rain after a drought. It was a light in the darkness.
Dan felt like he could possibly even become free.

International Academy of Sleep Updates 2020
Read Avi Weisfogel’s Trasnscript Below
How are we doing everyone? This is an exciting time. It’s the middle of December. we are on the way. To 2020 and just amazing things coming. So this is my favorite time of year. It’s the planning stages. As I’ve mentioned to you, we have hired a COO. This is so exciting for me because there’s so many projects. That we have planned here at IAOs and there’s only X amount we can do with, you know, the main guy leading the ship and then the team doing as much as they possibly can. Everybody’s got their strengths. You know, mine, I have pretty good vision for where I want things to go to help get you there. You need that person who’s gonna really put things into play and that. Is what we have found with this amazing person coming to work with us. So I am going to be so excited for you guys to meet her and it’s an exciting time. Now I’m about to give you an exclusive, this is an exclusive, that is not public information yet you are getting it because. You’re you, but, this is an exclusive, not available to the public yet. We are doing something really special. We’re always doing amazing things. As you know, 25th, 20, 20 January is the cruise practice of the year. Somebody walking out with a wad of cash, not too bad, for practice of the year. You know, you’re already a member. I’ve international Academy of sleep. You’ve put in the hard work, your members, your peers are going to be voting on who did the best job this year. I want to be was walking out there with a nice wad of cash for you and your team, however you split that up is totally up to you, but it is really, really exciting. If you’re not a member of iOS and you happen to see this video, this is the kind of cool stuff that goes on right. In this group. So we have the January crews with practice of the year. We have our, our other three retreats, right. Spring, summer, and fall. The spring retreat always has a staff portion to it. So bring staff for that summer retreat will be very doctor oriented. Of course, there’s always things for staff, but it’ll be very doctor oriented. Probably one room now for the world exclusive. I am 100% that guy who tells you and tells everyone the following, there is no such thing as the right time. I’d love to do it, but the timing’s bad. My words to that are completely B. S the timing is never right. Major decisions happen in life and you have to make them because you’re a busy person. The last time I was not busy it got me. Yeah. Maybe the first year after, maybe the summer after the first year of dental school, I had a month off. I was the last time, I wasn’t busy. Ever since then. Maybe you got two weeks off for dental school. That wasn’t time off. That was time to breathe. And then I started my businesses and I was busy all the time. There was no such thing as a time where the time was right. so I have started living by, the timing is always. Right. Right. That timing is always right. So I am announcing the first ever sleep con. That’s right. Sleep con. I’ve Comic-Con not a regular meeting. Sleep con sleep con is going to be taking place in conjunction with. Our best event of the year. You know what our best event of the year is? It’s our Halloween retreat. Let me tell you a little bit about sleep con because there will be a full member retreat that goes on at sleep con. You will have a lot to choose from. This isn’t just going to be the normal one room of doctor, one room of staff. This is going to be options for doctors. Options for staff. And then of course, there’s also going to be a chance to mingle with nonmembers who are coming to see what iOS is all about. So sleep con is going to be the first of what will be the biggest meeting in. Dental sleep, no questions asked. We already bring a lot of people to the table. We’re going to have an exhibit hall full of vendors. We’re going to have dental sleep speakers, so if you want advanced science stuff, you got that. You want advanced . Business stuff. You got that. We’re going to have two tracks for staff at tract for the staff in dental offices, attract for the staff in medical offices. We are going to have a full day course on billing, which I know everybody always wants. A full day. So this course is going to be absolutely incredible. We have two keynote speakers, one to start at the event off and want to finish it up. And I will tell you that our first speaker is one of the greatest speakers around. I’ve read this book. His book completely blew me away, and I am so excited to be able to bring this to our group. I’m not going to spoil the surprise yet, but just know this, the speaker is. In credible, absolutely incredible will blow you away. That is going to be the person who starts off the event, and we have another one who is just as good, one of the named, one of the top five speakers in the, in the country year after year after year. We’ll be finishing off Saturday leading right into the Halloween party. Now for members. The course is going to be Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Right? The normal, two and a half days for nonmembers sleep con will be a two day event for members. You’re going to have a choice of what do you want? More of, more science, more business, more role play. You’re going to have a choice on all of it. You’re going to get to really create your own personal track. No, we’re going to suggest them for some people, but, different things. So if you’re starting out, if you’re a member who’s just starting out and you need to know how to do a basic dental sleep exam, you’ll get that ability. If you’re someone who is an expert and you don’t need any basic stuff and you want advanced sleep science. Well, you get to hear from who, in my opinion, is just the best. my ex partner and close friend Barry Glassman, we’ll be back lecturing advanced science for you guys. I got to tell you guys, he is so excited to be back speaking at this group, which I missed the guy. so I am excited to have him back and you’ll get really top notch advanced science physicians are going to be part of this meeting. We’re going to bring in as many of the iOS physicians, both sleep physicians and telemedicine physicians that we can. This meeting is going to be packed full of anything you want. There will not be another sleep meeting that just comes anywhere near it. So personal tracks for everyone, personal tracks for staff, you’re going to choose what makes sense for you if you’re working inside of a medical office. Two days just for you. If you’re inside of a dental office, two days just for you, you’re going to get chance to role play. You’re going to chance to learn billings, sleep coordinator roles, how to make sure patients get from doctor’s offices to your dentist’s offices. Just so much, guys. Now let me tell you this. We are in negotiations with a bunch of hotels in Vegas. I don’t have a hotel link, but I promise that this is the case. You. Have to book your room right away or you will not have a room. This is not a wait till the last minute. Put this on your calendar. You’ve had this date for a long time. October 23rd to the 25th the second we put out that link book it because the amount of publicity we do for this course, well, let’s just say it’ll be obvious style, so we will be publicizing the crap out of this event. Everyone will hear about it. If you’re in sleep, you’re going to want to be there. If you’re thinking about getting into sleep, you’re going to want to be there. If you’ve tried sleep and haven’t succeeded, you’re going to want to be there and if you’re a member, it’s free. So you have no reason not to be there. This will be the best event that we’ve ever put on. It’ll have the most choices that we’ve ever given. And of course, our legendary Halloween party who is going to take home team costume of the year 2020 the first ever, and I believe we sent this out to suite the first ever. Colleen Halloween costume cup. The team cup like the Stanley cup was ordered and sent to team Hedgecock snow white and the seven dwarfs. Scary looking snow white, by the way, man. Instead of scary looking snow white, but it’s nowhere in the seven doors. We’ll be back to defend their title and start thinking now because this event is going to blow you away. As soon as we put up the link. Guys, book your rooms. If you don’t book your rooms, you will miss out. These have rooms. Our rooms are going to sell out in five seconds. Vendors are going to be asking for rooms. We’re going to have 30 to 40 vendors there. Right speakers need rooms. We’re going to have up a lot of extra speakers, guys, you know, from the dental sleep world, which is not normally what I bring into our to play, but there’s so much to do and so many exciting things. I can’t wait. So you had heard it here first. IOS sleep con first annual 2020 October 23rd to 24th Vegas for members I Tobar 23rd to the 25th get ready for the retreat of a lifetime. It doesn’t mean you get to skip the ones in between. We got the cruise in January, we have Miami in April. We have San Francisco in July. All places, by the way, that you voted on now, when we were on the cruise, we are voting. On 2021, four locations. We’ll try to spread them out. Hopefully it will get to some cool places. Maybe the international Academy of sleep could even go international. Who knows? But you gotta be there to vote. I am so psyched. It is just about a month away to where on that cruise. Just about a month away to a practice of the year. and I hope. You are thinking about entering practice of the year 2020 it’s time people.
