oh my god, guys.

so there’s this obligatory course I have to take within the unemployment insurance thing, and it’s basically for people who recently graduated where they help you with our resume and cover letters and just give you tips in general. the whole thing was set over the course of 9 days. it started on Jan 18; tomorrow’s the last day.

at first I (and pretty much everyone else in the course) wasn’t all too excited about it; it sounded pretty boring and like a waste of time. turns out, not only are the people super nice (I made 3 cool friends and we road trip there and back every day because we all live close), it’s also actually been kinda fun. I was allowed to work with my macbook & indesign (because my applications need to be “designed properly” because I work in graphic design), and one of the course instructors is literally SO NICE. she’s a marketing expert with experience in behavioral psychology, and on day 1 I knew she realized that something was "up" with me. in truth, I didn’t even want to apply for jobs because I’ve been thinking about going back to the clinic for a bit to finally get my shit together because I’m honestly scared I’ll blow it if I get hired somewhere now.

ANYWAY. one of the following days we actually had a lengthy (private) talk about it and I was like crying and she was so sweet and nice and encouraged me and said I was such a nice person and she would hire me in an instant, and that I should just stop being my own worst enemy (way easier said than done). anyway, she did give me a ton of really good advice and cheered me up, hug and all, and she made me feel a lot better. so much better, in fact, that I went home that same day, determined to expand my skillset and work hard to finally get better at the various softwares and also learn new ones. I’ve been so energized and motivated and it’s been so great. I even "worked" (aka practised) 10 hours on Saturday.

fast forward to Friday, when she saw the design for my CV and cover letters; she LOVED them (I also made a flyer which she loved even more), and she then asked me if I could black out the private info for her so she could hang it up in the course room as an inspiration for future classes ahaha of course I did.

AND THEN TODAY.

so she’s a marketing expert right, and also a personal and professional coach (she has her own company that offers to help people write their resumes and practice interviews, etc.), and she said she had this idea of offering templates on her website for people to download, starting as early as maybe next month – and she asked me if I would like to design a few templates to put them on her website for people to download! she was like "in all honesty, it literally breaks my heart seeing the potential and talent pretty much going to waste because you’re so insecure… you’re really good, I wish you could see that"; and she said she wants to give me a platform and like… MAN SHE’S SO NICE.

and then we were talking about it for a bit, and she said (every so casually), "yeah you could say you want maybe $10 or $20 per download, and I mean if it gets downloaded like 1000 times... and I would recommend you to people, and [...]"

and in my head I'm just like... "is this woman legit offering me a way to potentially make $10-20k by designing a few templates once and having people buy them off her website???" likeeee, is this real life???

and like. AHHH. honestly, being able to work with a marketing expert is probably the best thing to happen to me in a while and I am so fucking grateful for that opportunity.

if this goes well and I work hard on both my skills as a designer and my mental health, it could potentially even be the start of a freelancer career. 👀 WHICH HONESTLY WOULD BE MY DREAM.

I AM SO EXCITED I WANT TO HUG THIS WOMAN.

Summary: Author Castiel Novak has finally hit the big time, with a book based on his failed college relationship with a brilliant painter. He's put all his pain behind him, but at a book signing, he comes face to face with Dean Winchester for the first time in twelve years, and the reunion doesn't go like Cas hoped. Dean's a broken man, with a lot of scars and secrets, shoulders weighed down by his demons and self loathing. Summary: While experimenting with magic when he was a kid, Sam accidentally cursed Dean. Now, Dean is forced to wear a spelled amulet constantly, or he'll turn into a random animal. I gave the attending ER doctor all information including I had drank beer an hour before I got there. OK, now, For the 16 hours at the hospital and the multiple blood tests, everybody including the Dr's said everything looked good! and the Dr. that discharged me explained to my wife in detail about my blood work, said things were fine. So, why would my CHP (Capital Health Plan) health insurance company be contacting my primary? Especially about alcoholism counseling, this has NEVER been an issue in the past! I'm so upset! I reside in OH. I have insurance through progressive, my payments are about $230/month. I do finance my vehicle so it's necessary to have full coverage, I do have GAP insurance through my car dealership. OK. I have a ticket and 2 at fault accidents on my record (one really wasn't my fault) both under $500 claims... ANYWAYS, I know people who have DUI's that have lower car insurance than I do and I am a good driver, ugh. Is there any sugesstions on ways to lower my car insurance? I know eventually they will drop off but the last accident is on until April 2012 the other will drop August 2011 and the ticket will be gone October of this year. I am paying a mortgage, condo fees, a car payment that I just aquired January, this new insurance payment which is like an additional car payment (it was $100 before getting full coverage), and the obvious other bills. I am so strapped for cash, is there any ways to lower this fast or any good companies in OH that can give me lower price?
