When looking for a low cost driving school near me choose the best driving school in Toronto that is MTO approved
Tumblr media
When it comes to driving etiquette, learning about driving via books and videos is crucial, but the experience obtained from attending a driving school is priceless. Choose the best driving school in Toronto that is MTO approved and has a good reputation since it will help you become more skilled behind the wheel and be better prepared for the situations you will encounter on the road while driving.
Having driving expertise makes it far simpler to remain composed and in control under pressure. So, when you are driving in bad weather conditions, or a traffic jam you will never lose your cool and drive responsibly.
Choosing a driving school near your area?
Make sure the driving school has a solid reputation and thoroughly investigate the courses they offer before choosing one while searching for a driving school near me. You can learn whenever it is convenient for you if there is a school nearby. If the school is close by, you won't have to waste time traveling there and back.
But continue to hunt for the one who can actually assist you. Even though you could feel anxious in many circumstances, if you have the necessary driving skills, you can act correctly and promptly. A reputable school's instructors are always available to help you learn skills that are best suited for you to manage different situations, whether it be merging, parallel parking, or anything else. Therefore, the key to success is picking a decent driving school.
Advantages of enrolling in a driving school:
·         Training from a professional
Having to learn from a professional is among the most advantageous aspects of enrolling in a driving school. These instructors are available to assist you in identifying any areas of weakness and demonstrating more effective driving techniques. The main objective of an instructor is to prepare you for the driving test and for you to obtain your driver's license, so they will work with you to achieve this.
·         Instructors assist you in changing your bad habits
The more experienced you become as a driver, the more at ease you may become behind the wheel and develop some bad habits. When you were a new driver, you might have been in a car with someone and noticed their bad driving habits. As a result, you might have assumed it was okay to follow their lead. To change any bad habits you may have acquired along the way, you can ask the driving instructor for assistance during a driving lesson.
·         You will gain the right knowledge of defensive driving
Nothing is more upsetting for a new driver than getting into an accident right after getting their license. Fortunately, qualified instructors are familiar with the defensive driving strategies that lower the likelihood of being involved in an accident. Driving lessons are a more affordable long-term investment than the costs associated with a car accident.
Tumblr media
When looking for a driving school near me you must not make any compromise. Choose only professional schools that are MTO approved. Driving schools also offer you the very valuable benefit of using their own vehicle for practice. This implies that during your training sessions, there is less risk to your own car.
Conclusion: If you are a resident of Canada and are looking for the best driving school in Toronto, then visit https://superdrivingschool.ca. They have professional drivers who can help you in every situation.

Doing the pre-nervous breakdown reply system because I want others to opine as well. When did xkit break btw?
@mystery-moose - I am absolutely no expert but I can tell you that I looked seriously for a while at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia! Having lived in that city for about six months I found it thoroughly pleasant, and it’s a few hundred thousand people total so it’s not quite as big a culture shock if you’re going from a more rural or less dense area. Decent food too.
Halifax looks like a very relaxed city but I checked out the Dalhousie website and I don't qualify for any of their course offerings. Like, none of them - perils of doing pol-sci I guess. The closest would be management but I don't have a maths A-level. It's also not clear what their policies are towards mature international students. Thanks for the suggestion though man! There are are other universities in and around Halifax that do offer polsci courses so I'll take a look at those. I'm really curious as to what the programme courses would imply about what you studied though Moose
@tarysande - A few things to keep in mind: Canada’s going through a housing shortage crisis and this has hit university students particularly hard. So, you have to think about housing EARLY. Vancouver and Toronto are unfuckingbelievably expensive. That said, they’re the major centers of media in this country. Canadian university programs are pretty much always four years. Montreal is cool and does have an English university (McGill), but the city is very bilingual.
You might also want to look into schools that offer specific training related to media studies. My husband teaches at BCIT—I know they do quite a lot of media stuff and, as a school, they’re MUCH more job-focused than universities typically are. Douglas College is another one. Pro: this class of school is much more likely to do shorter programs (1-3 year certificates).
Also, if I remember correctly, deadlines for applications are like … now until February, depending on the school, so you’d need to start submitting asap
Vancouver/Toronto I'd be surprised if they weren't expensive but I'll be honest I have the country mouse's terror of moving to a large city so I'd like to avoid that if I can. I do drive though so that might make things easier. Maybe
My first instinct is to find out if my university credits are transferrable and which places in Canada will accept them. That'll dictate what I eventually choose to do but I do know that if I get a study permit it also includes the right to work up to 20 hours a week, mitigating the costs somewhat. There must be employers who will happily take on a guy with 10 years catering management right?
If the worst happens and I have to do a brand new three year course that'll be painful but... well, it would mean that more options would open to me. I might find something I didn't know I would enjoy doing. God, I've not been a student for ten years though and I'm afraid of crashing out again. Even just talking about it here online is kinda nauseating

☕️ Today is my birthday and I got to spend the morning with one of the two friends who started Fluke with me way back in 1991. The new book is now available in my online store [LINK IN BIO] or mail $10 cash to me: FLUKE / POB 1547 / Phoenix, AZ 85001 Fluke 19.5: The First Two Years In 1990 in Little Rock, Arkansas, local punk Steve Schmidt set out to be in a band (Chino Horde), host a punk rock radio show on KABF (Adios Amerika) and publish a fanzine (Plaid). While Chino Horde and Adios Amerika achieved greatness in Little Rock and abroad, Plaid never saw issue 1. A year later, Jason White and Matthew Thompson stepped in to collaborate with Schmidt on Fluke issue 1, picking up where he left off with Plaid. Steve had interviews with Fugazi and Plaid Retina in the can, Jason interviewed Tim Lamb (of legendary '80s Little Rock punk fanzine Lighten Up) and Matthew submitted a few writings. They wrote dozens of punk and hip hop record reviews, shot photographs and sought contributors around town. There's content addressing the societal pressures of the Bible Belt onto the youth—military recruiters to religious crusaders and anti-abortionists. While not at shows or skateboarding, the three high school friends created the design and layout at Kinko's in North Little Rock, where local punk and friend Colin Brooks worked. With a very nice "deal" on copies, Fluke 1 was born. The following year, Fluke 2 was published soon after Steve moved to Eureka, California but eventually returning to Little Rock. Issue 2 featured touring bands, including interviews with Lungfish, Ben Sizemore (Econochrist), Bay Area bands Nuisance and Monsula, and Toronto's Phleg Camp. As things progressed, Steve and Jason channeled their energy into Chino Horde while Matthew continued publishing Fluke. Issue 14 (2017) contains 40 show flyers from 1988-1992, all from the one punk club in town. The early '90s Little Rock scene was centered around these shows, with local sweethearts Trusty as the driving force. The show flyers are the centerpiece here, completing Fluke 19.5: The First Two Years. 8.5x11, 108 pages, perfect bound, offset printed book. Wholesale prices available! 🎂 (at Saul's Restaurant & Delicatessen) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkjbparS0Mb/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Flight Over; day 1ish, apr 8th
waking up at 3 am to shower after finishing packing an hour or so before sucked, but the excitement made it not seem as bad
i had everything planned and packed for weeks and then last minute realized that if it was hard to pack everything up, i would drive myself crazy on the tour midway through the trip so i unpacked and repacked everything to have less stuff, meaning no more sweatpants or patagonia flannel as they took up the most room
poor dad had to drive me to the airport (and totally wasn’t freaking out about me leaving and definitely didn’t spend the entire time going over safety plans, that’d be crazy)
i had planned to sleep on the flight to toronto (which was with an amazing airline that gave free snacks and drinks twice during the flight, had free wifi, and 2 to a row) which would have worked perfectly given the fact that i had the entire row to myself, but instead spent the entire time talking to the guys beside me
someone came to double check my (and only mine) boarding pass and asked if i was me by name first, and then didn’t elaborate further so the guys and i were joking around that my bag must’ve exploded, but id be fine because i had my wallet, passport, and Scrungly.
they were from Ottawa and had been friends for 10 years and were on a golfing trip in Alberta/BC and had made it all the way to Invermere, which shocked me. Alec, not alex, was the one i ended up talking to the most because his friend kept trying to online gamble with the wifi, but it kept glitching out. hes in school to become a registered nurse right now and was shocked i was going on a trip alone to europe because he kept meaning to go on one but never did. midway through the flight Alec had stolen the aisle seat from his friend who took up the row behind me, as it was also empty (there were like 12 people on this flight i swear. I told him i was worried about making friends while in europe and he kinda just blank stared me before pointing out we had been talking for 2.5 hours (and then kept talking until landing) and hadnt known eachother prior. By the end of the flight Alec had made me promise to follow my dreams and make working at a summer camp forever work and i had made him promise by his 34th birthday he would do his solo Thailand trip (he has 2 years and 2 months, i’m counting). After landing we headed to baggage claim together before realizing neither me nor his buddy actually had to pick up our bags, and then said goodbye as i left the airport and they headed to their connecting flight home.
I was sad to say goodbye even though i had JUST met them, because i then had another portion of being completely on my own, just like when i got dropped off at the airport at 4 am, even though it was for about 10 minutes until my aunt picked me up
the flight to london sucked
i was so tired
middle aisle middle seat
slept curled up over the tray table, and then had to fight with my sim card and figure out the train from Gatwick because i mixed up which airport i landed in, but all was well!
figured out the transit well enough and made it to the hostel with enough time to sit down for 5 minutes before heading to see one of my favourite youtubers since i was 12 talk about his new book and got a pre-signed copy! i met this awesome british family and chatted with them before the show mocking how different countries drive
headed home afterwards and didnt need my phone to map the tube, which i was proud of, and then ABSOLUTELY CRASHED FELL ASLEEP :)

Drake Bell FOUND SAFE months after he was spotted inhaling a 'hippie crack' balloon
Tumblr media
Drake Bell was found safe hours after he was declared "missing" and "at risk" by Florida police.The disgraced actor, 36, was last seen driving his 2022 gray BMW around 9 p.m. Wednesday near Mainland High School in Daytona Beach. The Daytona Beach Police Department previously said he is believed to still be in the vehicle. Around 1 p.m. Eastern time, authorities said they were "in contact" with Bell. A subsequent statement read: "At this time we can confirm that law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe." Bell was spotted in public with his son during a trip to SeaWorld in Orlando on Tuesday. A fan told TMZ that he greeted the actor and said he "spoke nice and softly but looked good." His disappearance comes after years of erratic behavior, including multiple arrests for DUI and a guilty plea to attempted endangerment Children and dissemination of substances harmful to young people, for which he received two years probation.

Bell was spotted in public Tuesday during a trip with his son to Sea World in Orlando. One fan told TMZ he greeted the actor and was "nice and quiet, but seemed fine."

Drake Bell, 36, best known for his roles on Drake & Josh and The Amanda Show, appeared to be sucking on a balloon in the front seat of his parked car last DecemberBell reportedly entered treatment in January weeks after apparently sucking on a balloon for more than thirty minutes outside his home in the front seat of his parked car - with his son in the car.Shortly thereafter, the star and his wife Janet von Schmeling, also an actress, separated and the latter moved to Florida with their son Jeremy.The former child star was then spotted on Friday running errands in his Los Angeles neighborhood and driving to a local vape shop.He entered the store alone, wearing a black t-shirt and black pants with black sneakers, before exiting a few minutes later with a shopping bag.In December, DailyMail.com revealed exclusive images of Bell, best known for his roles on Drake & Josh and The Amanda Show, inhaling inflated balloons in the front seat of his car parked outside his Los Angeles home.Wearing a basketball hat and sunglasses, he was observed inflating and deflating the pink balloon for more than half an hour.The actor was later seen taking his sleeping baby son out of a car seat in the back and carrying him inside.It is unclear what substance was in the balloons.The incident happened while Bell, born Jared "Drake" Bell, was serving a two-year suspended sentence for endangering a girl's welfare when she was just 15 years old.Bell was sentenced to two years probation and 200 hours of community service in July 2021 after pleading guilty to child endangerment charges.

The Daytona Beach Police Department said Bell was last seen driving a gray 2022 BMW near Mainland High School just before 9 p.m. Wednesday

Bell had been sentenced to two years probation and 200 hours of community service for child harm in connection with a girl who met him online and attended one of his concerts in Ohio when she was 15 (pictured in his June 2021 mugshot).Authorities said a 15-year-old girl attended one of Bell's concerts in Cleveland in 2017 and contacted Toronto police in October 2018 about sexual assault allegations.Toronto authorities then forwarded their findings to the Cleveland Police Department, prompting an investigation.They found that Bell and the girl had "formed a relationship" online prior to the concert, during which Bell sent the girl "inappropriate social media messages."He was later charged with attempted endangerment of a child for "breaching his duty of care" and putting the victim at risk of harm, said then-Cuyahoga Attorney General Tyler Sinclair. The victim claimed in her impact statement that she performed oral sex on the star."These are crimes that are unforgivable and inexcusable," she said. “They cannot be taken back. He calculated, he exploited me and sexually abused me. He is a monster and a danger to children."I kindly ask you to send a strong message that these crimes are never okay, no matter who a person is."She added, "And he can give me that look whatever he wants, but he knows exactly what I'm talking about.""He's the epitome of evil. I deserve better than being used for his sick desires and using my suffering for his amusement. Jared Drake Bell is a pedophile and that is his legacy.”In response, Bell said, "I just want to say today that I accept this request because my behavior was wrong."He added: "I took this matter very, very seriously. I just want to apologize to her and anyone else who may have been affected by my actions.
Tumblr media
Shortly after his sentencing, it was reported that the star and his wife Janet von Schmeling (left) were "separated" and "on the way to a divorce."During his sentencing, his attorney clarified that he had not been charged with the more serious crimes of sexual assault and pedophilia that the victim alleged in her impact statement.Bell pleaded guilty to the felonies of attempted child endangerment and a misdemeanor count of distributing harmful substances to minors. But months later, he tried to downplay his beliefs in an enigmatic Instagram video."Most of the news that you've heard lately is completely false and false," he said. "I know it was very quick for you, but for me it has been a three year thorough investigation of every false claim that has been made."And I'm not telling you the claims are false, but the state of Ohio has proven the claims to be false.“If these claims were even remotely true, my situation would be very different. I wouldn't be here at home with my wife and son.'He added: "But other than that, I'm not perfect and I make mistakes."I was replying to a fan whose age I didn't know, but when I became aware of his age all conversations and communications stopped."The I Know singer continued, "This person continued to come to shows and pay for meet and greets while I was unaware that this was the same person I communicated with online and to that I plead guilty.“They were reckless and irresponsible text messages. I want to clarify that there was no sexual imagery, nothing physical between me and this person.'
Tumblr media
Bell starred in Drake and Josh alongside Josh Peck, who played his stepbrother
Tumblr media
Bell, left, was also a star on The Amanda Show, a sketch-style show starring Amanda BynesHe added: "I have not been charged with anything physical. I was not charged with distributing their pictures or anything like that. This was exclusively via text messages."And when I was presented with a plea as a result of the news, I felt like that's the best way to get this over with quickly and for everyone involved to be able to move on. And so I can get back to doing what I love, and that's making music for you."I want to thank you, for example, everyone who saw through the lies and researched and looked at my case and saw it for what it was instead of all this media confusion."He concluded: "Don't believe the media right away. It's a lot of clickbait. Do your own research and come to your own conclusions. I just want to say thank you to everyone who stuck by me. I love you and I will see you soon.'The former child star was sentenced to four days in prison for drunk driving in 2015, which was his second DUI conviction in six years. Read the full article

Feel-good stories of 2022: From generous communities to octopus hugs
Canadians made the most of 2022 through community, leaning on each other and a few hilarious videos in between.
It has been a year marked by Canadians helping neighbours during snowstorms, random acts of kindness and some amazing encounters with wildlife.
Here are some of the heartwarming stories that made 2022 a year to remember.
RALLYING COMMUNITIES
After Wynston Martin, a seven-year-old boy from Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Man., had his collection of hockey cards stolen in an act of bullying, the community rallied behind him. In only a few weeks Canadians from B.C to P.E.I. sent Martin almost 5,000 cards to show him bullies don’t win. This generosity left him with far more cards than before, which he shared with classmates.
Another instance of fierce community support was seen in Montreal when a Korean restaurant owner received threatening phone calls due to his staff's lack of French-language skills, forcing the restaurant to temporarily close. The owner, whose mother tongue is Korean, was blown away when a sea of customers came through after the damaging complaint was left online. Residents reportedly offered to volunteer French translation services to keep the restaurant open.
A Winnipeg bus driver warmed people's hearts when he got out of the bus to help a visually-impaired passenger find a bus stop. The act of kindness was captured on video by Devon Lipscomb, a passenger who said it was something he had never witnessed before.
Passing on the generosity, Winnipeggers threw a surprise baby shower for a couple who fled war-torn Ukraine in May. Mariia and Constantin Domin, who welcomed their first child in 2022, were in shock when the community came bearing gifts to help the couple celebrate the milestone.
In Elora, Ont., a couple taking wedding photos almost had their day ruined when the groom's ring disappeared when he tossed snow up in the air. Adam Richardson and Tamar Silverbrook took hours to search for the ring before Elske de Groot, an Elora resident, walked by to ask how she could help.
De Groot posted a callout on the community Facebook page and the couple was flooded with offers from people trying to locate the ring. It was when Bryan Poletto, another community member, brought out his metal detector that the ring was found.
In Ontario, a kind stranger opened her door to Kirstin Hanson and her friend. The two were trying to go home to Regina, Sask., when their flight from Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ont., was suddenly cancelled in June. Stranded without a place to stay, Hanson and her friend were approached by a Toronto woman who offered them a place to sleep over.
“So she had called her husband and said we're going to take home these two Saskatchewan girls that are stranded, and so we ended up at their home,” Hanson told CTV News Toronto.
The Toronto couple ended up taking the two women on a quick trip to Niagara Falls before driving them back to the airport for the next flight to Regina.
CANADIANS ON VIDEO
A nine-year-old’s brutally honest interview with CTV News Toronto in January resonated with people across Canada and the world. After a massive snowstorm hit Southern Ontario, Carter Trozzolo was out shovelling and wishing he was in school instead.
A travel blogger from the U.S. captured a stream of Canadians saying "thanks" to their bus driver in Victoria, B.C. The video by Corrin Carlson, which was posted on TikTok, garnered over 7.4 million views and showed many people saying "goodbye" or "thank you" to the bus driver.
“I just found it incredibly endearing,” Carlson told CTV News Vancouver Island, adding she had never witnessed such courtesy before on public transit.

Another TikTok video captured a heartwarming reaction to an act of generosity in Windsor, Ont. Danny Curtis is a longtime volunteer with The Windsor Goodfellows, an organization collecting funds for various charities in the community and best known for its holiday newspaper fundraiser. TikTok creator Zachery Dereniowski approached Curtis who was out canvassing the neighbourhood in November. In many of Dereniowski's videos, he tells a person he doesn't have money to see if they will help him out anyway. After a short conversation, Curtis told Dereniowski he would make a contribution on his behalf so he could have a paper. Dereniowski then offered Curtis $500 and his reaction, posted on TikTok, has amassed over 40 million views.

Gurdeep Pandher, a Bhangra dancer, brought positivity and joy to Canada's Atlantic provinces this year. Bhangra is a traditional folk dance from the state of Punjab in India. Pandher, who resides in Yukon, toured across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador bringing his dancing skills and humour. He has been documenting his journey on social media while spreading his mission statement of "togetherness" through dance.
At Peggy's Cove, near Halifax in Nova Scotia, my local friend and I marched together by the beautiful Atlantic Ocean for cross-cultural togetherness, hope, healing, belonging & joy. He played his bagpipes and I danced Punjabi Bhangra. We're dispatching positive vibes to everyone. pic.twitter.com/7ccqM07q2S

  ENCOUNTERS IN NATURE
Andrea Humphreys made a new friend while diving off Campbell River on Vancouver Island. The eight-tentacle giant Pacific octopus gave her a full-body hug and a kiss on Oct. 15. The encounter caught on video is a rare moment when humans and sea creatures meet. Humphreys described the encounter as "mind-blowing."
Feather enthusiasts flocked to Thedford, Ont., to watch a never-before-seen bird in Canada. The shorebird got lots of attention as hundreds of people trekked to see the marsh sandpiper. It is an Asiatic bird and rarely shows up on the west coast of North America. Birdwatchers made sure to line up for a glimpse of this spectacular winged creature.
On the other end of the food chain, Jerry Burke accidentally caught a 50-inch muskie while fishing in Georgian Bay, Ont. Right outside his cabin, the Killarney-area angler was going for the 20-inch pike in the ice hole when the pike was grabbed by the muskie. The event, including the muskie's return to the water, was caught on video.
As amazing as nature is, sometimes it gets in Canadians' way, like the herd of bison delaying traffic in Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask. In late August, drivers on Highway 10 were halted when bison crossed the road. The sight captured on video was posted to Facebook for everyone to enjoy.

After three long years, Catherine Riddell will finally have a good night’s sleep.
For her, and many of the people left physically and mentally shattered when a man driving a rented van rampaged along a Yonge Street sidewalk in April 2018 trying to kill as many people as he could, the guilty verdict came with a wave of relief.
“It’s like holding our breath for three years, we can finally breathe,” said Nick D’Amico, flanked by his parents and sister. They all wore purple jackets adorned with the name of his sister Anne Marie D’Amico, one of the 10 people murdered on the sunny spring afternoon in North York in the worst mass killing in Toronto’s history.
“It’s not closure, I’m not happy, I don’t feel like dancing. I feel like justice has been done,” said Riddell, one of the 16 people who were nearly killed. “He is in jail where he belongs and that’s good enough for me.”
In a decision livestreamed on YouTube, Superior Court Justice Anne Molloy found Alek Minassian, 28, criminally responsible for the mass killing, rejecting the defence argument that his specific form of autism spectrum disorder rendered him incapable of knowing what he did was morally wrong.
Minassian “thought about committing these crimes over a considerable period of time and made a considered decision to proceed. His attack on these 26 victims that day was an act of a reasoning mind, notwithstanding its horrific nature, and notwithstanding that he has no remorse for it and no empathy for his victims,” she said.
He planned his attack to generate as much fame as possible for himself, and had fantasized about committing a mass killing since he was in high school, she said.
He also clearly understood the consequences of his actions, actively concealing his planning and his frequenting of online sites that he knew others would find horrifying.

Skephalo Week, Day 1: Soulmates
Title: spin me right round (read on ao3)
Summary:
Bad’s red string of fate that looped around his pinky always jumped around, always spinning around him as his soulmate traveled across the world. They never seemed to stay in the same place for longer than a year.
Every time it moved, he used his father’s compass and globe to estimate where they might be and wrote down his calculations in his journal.
It was quite a coincidence that the locations matched up almost perfectly with Skeppy’s timeline of traveling.
Bad’s string didn’t appear when he was born. It wasn’t a big deal, around 50% of babies were born without a complete string. His soulmate just wasn’t born yet.
If anything, most people preferred to be older than their soulmate. It gave them just a bit more information on their perfect half: the age difference and their birthday.
And sure enough, almost 5 years later, Bad’s string flared to life, stretching northward.
He marked down the date in a small leather journal his mother gave him, in horrible, scribbly four-year-old handwriting.
January 17th, 2000.
~~~
Bad’s string always jumped around, always changing the direction it was coming from.
His soulmate never seemed to stay in the same place for longer than a year.
It started off stretching north. The day it appeared, his father flipped open an ancient looking compass and presented him a massive world globe. Bad spent the rest of the day learning about the Red String of Fate and how to use a compass and a globe to estimate where his soulmate might be, stretching his tiny fingers across the wide expanse of the globe, tracing outlines of different continents and oceans. (Later there would be computer programs to more accurately triangulate positioning, but his father always loved sticking to tradition).
The string only pointed north for a year before it did a complete 180 and now tugged out southward. It was a little embarrassing to admit that he brought his compass and globe to a kindergarten show-and-tell and figured out his soulmate’s new location in front of the class. (“and based on the direction, increase in movement, and degree, I think that they’re in Tampa!”). (Looking back, he was almost right. Clearwater, Florida was only a 30 minute drive from Tampa).
By the end of high school, Bad had several locations scribbled down in his journal, not even including locations that lasted only a week or two ( vacations, most likey).
-North, still in the US, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan?
-TAMPA, FLORIDA
-Farther north than before, Canada or the northernest states??? Ontario (Toronto maybe)
-California? Nevada? Definitely west coast
-Northeast coast, New York or New Jersey area
-Northwest coast? Higher than Nevada/California. Oregon or Washington?
The strangest change happened just after he graduated high school. The red sting pointed directly eastward, out into the open ocean.
That angle was an interesting one. And since it remained steady in that direction, he knew his soulmate wasn’t back in Florida. That means they lived on the other side of the world, and based on some quick calculations with his globe and compass, he would probably guess they were somewhere in the Middle East or Asia.
Bad only lived in one city his whole life and he genuinely wondered how his soulmate felt about having to move around all the time. The thought of having to adapt to a new school and a new city sounded terrifying to him.
But regardless, for as long as he could remember, his red string of fate always seemed to be spinning around him as his soulmate traveled across the world.
~~~
The muffinhead who tried to apply to be a mod on MunchyMC was so annoying. When the call ended, Bad could feel the beginning of a headache building up behind his forehead.
He had no idea why he didn’t decline the call the next time he called.
It was probably his imagination, but his string almost seemed… brighter?
~~~
A simple internet search informed him that Skeppy's birthday was January 17th, 2000.
Bad hit Ctrl+W as fast as he could and slammed his laptop shut.
For as much as he loved puzzling out where his soulmate was on the other end of his red string when he was younger, it was a completely different situation to have his potential soulmate one Skype call away.
~~~
Apparently, Skeppy would be moving in with TapL and Spifey in L.A. Bad was happy for them of course, but he couldn’t help the simmering of annoyance that churned in his stomach.
Did he have the right to be jealous? He and Skeppy had been talking about a meet up for months now and it still hasn’t happened. Bad had always been an indecisive person and he knew his inability to commit to a meet-up must have been aggravating for his much more energetic and decisive friend. It was his own insecurity and nervousness that prevented him from meeting up with Skeppy first, right?
It didn’t matter in the end though, he decided. Now just wasn't the right time. Besides, he’d only known Skeppy for just over a year at this point. Bad had known plenty of other online friends for much longer and he didn’t meet up with them yet either.
Next year, in 2020, maybe he’d be ready.
The day Skeppy was set to fly to L.A. the string slowly stopped from pulling south, and started pulling west.
~~~
The only excuse Bad has was that it was late at night and he was tired.
Vulnerability in general was complex for him. There was a surprising amount of accurate information out there about him either told by himself or his friend. He finds it easy to talk about stories from his life, sharing with his viewers random anecdotes and information but his online personality is different than his personal life. It’s hard to be vulnerable, truly vulnerable, especially with someone you love.
He stayed on TeamSpeak with Skeppy for hours, whispered conversations and secrets spilling out between them with only accompanied by the light tapping of their keyboards and soft mouse clicks as they aimlessly wander around the SMP.
Bad learned that Skeppy’s string was anchored in one spot. No matter where he moved across the world, the string alway pointed unerringly back to his unmoving soulmate.
Skeppy spent the first portion of the night rambling about the places he’s traveled in his short 19 years of life.
It was quite a coincidence that the locations matched up almost perfectly with Skeppy’s timeline of traveling.
When the sun rises over the horizon, they both pretended to not remember what happened.
The string keeps moving and moving, spinning him around and around.
~~~
Skeppy, TapL, and Spifey's lease on their L.A. house expired in Febuary and the string moved back south, stretching towards what Bad knows is Clearwater, Florida.
By May, Skeppy's already bored of Florida and packs up to move to Texas. Bad's string adjusted accordingly.
A trip back to L.A., then back to Clearwater, then to Dubai, back to Clearwater, then to Las Vegas for his 21st birthday, and back again to Florida.
Everytime Skeppy traveled, Bad's string followed.
~~~
Skeppy was a lightweight.
Only two shots in and completely wasted. Truly astonishing. Coupled with the fact that he was streaming, it was just a recipe for disaster.
Bad was trying desperately to keep his frustration at bay, hoping the irritation and desperation didn’t leach into his voice. He really hoped Skeppy wouldn’t mind him pulling this card when he watched back the VOD back sober, but at this point he just needed Skeppy to end stream before he could accidentally dox himself or spill even more embarrassing information about himself.
“Who’s going to pick me up from the airport?”
Skeppy’s reply was tentative, almost fragile. “I will.”
Bad pushed the advantage, ignoring the way his red string seemed to hum at his words. “Well, if you’re streaming you can’t be there.”
“Bad, I’ll pick you up,” Skeppy said, his voice soft, impossibly soft.
Bad felt his annoyance fade away, replaced with a rush of affection. “Alright, well end your steam and you can pick me up at the airport once we meet up in, a couple weeks or months or whatever.”
“Okay fine,” Skeppy whined, burying his face in his hands, “I’ll end it for Bad. Goodnight guys.”
He was going to have a long talk with that muffinhead after the hangover passed.
~~~
Bad didn't text Skeppy when the plane landed.
Skeppy should know.
~~~
“Hey dude!” Skeppy exclaimed, spotting Bad from across the baggage claim. Bad yanked his last suitcase off the conveyor belt before turning to glance up at his best friend, who was half-walking half-jogging awkwardly towards him. Skeppy’s body language screamed of apprehensive exhilaration, but Bad probably wasn’t much better. His hands trembled as securing his last piece of luggage on his cart.
Skeppy’s gaze was flickering back and forth between Bad’s face and the glowing red string stretching between their pinky fingers. He didn’t look surprised to see it, just nervous.
That one realization sent an inordinate amount of relief crashing over him. Skeppy wasn’t surprised. He knew. I knew. He’s here!
“BAD!” Skeppy finally crashed into him, wrapping his arms tightly around him in a hug, and Bad buried his head into Skeppy’s shoulder with a laugh.
“Skeppy!”
Their shared string of fate glowed brighter.
