"would you love me if i was a worm?"

"no."

"what about if i was a dinosaur?"

"you'd be dead."

"okay, what if i was a skunk?"

"satoru, what do you want?"

he fakes a laugh, scratching the back of his neck. "whatever do you mean, my dear?"

you sighed, reverting your attention from your laptop to him. in this house, online shopping is near impossible when satoru's around. it's painfully obvious he's up to something mischievous — or, he will be up to something.

a long stare in silence doesn't take long to break him. plopping himself on the bed, he raises both hands in a defensive gesture before speaking, "okay, don't get mad at me but i think i accidentally dyed our cat purple."

"you WHAT?!" you sit up, shoving your laptop off your thighs. out of everything he could've done, accidentally dying the cat purple was not in your list. you give satoru a simple task and trust he will find a way to make it difficult.

he waves his hands side-to-side, standing up to justify himself, "i didn't mean to i swear—" he cuts himself off, taking your hand to lead you to his disaster. "actually, just come see for yourself."

entering the bathroom, a shocked gasp escapes you. the scene is just chaotic: a bathtub coloured purple, a cat that's busy with his tail, discarded gloves, and a bottle of purple shampoo. you tiptoe around the wet floor, bending over to carefully retrieve your beloved cat from the disaster.

"babyyy, look what you did! he's purple now!" you complained, giving gojo a 360 view of the cat.

"oh my god, it's almost as if i didn't know that," he replies sarcastically, forcefully grabbing the damned bottle that started everything. this marks the beginning of him explaining the previous matter.

"i bought this a while ago thinking it was one of those colour correction shampoos, right? lo and fucking behold it turned the thing purple," he wiggles the shampoo in his hand, screwing his face at it.

"yeah, yeah. unpurple my cat before tomorrow, satoru," you changed your voice's tone, replicating one that warns him of what's to come if he doesn't restore your toots back to his colour.

gojo does nothing but rolls his eyes, squinting at the cat. he's not even worried about it, he thinks, observing the way toots calmly enjoys being in your arms. the privilege he has is tremendous. he's all purple staining your clothes but had gojo been the one he would've been sent to the next year.

"stupid cat."

"did you say something, satoru?"

"yeah, i said i'll book an appointment at the pet's shop thing."

Start small

I don't know if you're in Wales, or elsewhere, but just introducing little Welsh phrases is a good place to start, like greetings. Don't worry about making mistakes, or being misunderstood. Everyone will know what you mean, and most people will be pleased you're using Welsh!

If you ARE in Wales, look out for people wearing little orange speech mark badges in public places, like shops. These mean they are fluent, or learning Welsh, and will be happy to talk with you in the language.

2. Understanding pronunciation

Sometimes English speakers get tripped up by Welsh spelling, especially when mutations are involved. You've probably heard the old "it's just a keyboard smash language!", when honestly Welsh makes more sense than English (every letter is pronounced the same every time, unlike English, where it's a lottery).

Here's some major-ish differences to the English alphabet:

a - "ah" (apple)

ch - like a gutteral cat hiss? Or like you're trying to get phlegm out of the back of your throat.

dd - "th" (these)

e - "eh" (elephant)

f - "v" (velcro)

ff - "f" (fantastic)

i - "ee" (queen)

ll - like you're blowing air out the side of your tongue, while the tip is just behind your teeth. May take some practice, but it's a VERY common sound

r - roll that letter, baby. like an Italian

rh - like a breathy r. Use your teeth

u - "ih" (hit)

w - "ooh" (spoon)

y - "uh" (under) or sometimes "ih" (inside)

(there is no j, k, q or v in the Welsh alphabet. But that doesn't stop some anglicised words like "jam")

3. Mutations

Mutations are ways Welsh words change, depending on what comes before or after them. There are loads of mutations, but you can be understood without using them/forgetting them, so don't worry too much. They're quite easy to learn too.

The 'd' changes to a 'dd'. Because mutations. Don't ask me why.

S4C - The Welsh language broadcasting service. Has everything: news, Gogglebocs Cymru, drama, documentaries, you name it.

Doctor Cymraeg - really successful tiktok and instagram account. Teaches about bitesized Welsh language facts, vocabulary and funny things. Also always films them when out on a walk, with the expression of a high school teacher who's just watched his pupils try and fail to make the leaning tower of pisa out of gluesticks. Classic.

5. TYMBLR

There are LOADS of people learning Welsh on here for the first time, and interacting with them is one of the best ways to get into the language online. #dysgu cymraeg is a good tag.

You almost dreaded it now. Soon the corporate cogs would swallow you back in its mechanical grip and you'd have to leave the Maximoff homestead for who knows how long.

It was the day before you had to leave when Wanda approached you in the early morning, "I wanna have a date with you, city boy"

"A date?"

"Yeah a day date" she smiled at you with that thousand watt smile.

You and Wanda spent the entire day on the town. Piet and Crystal joined you for lunch at the local diner. It felt lively, it felt energetic. It felt like home with the Maximoffs.

You and Wanda explored the downtown area, rode horses together. You listened to Dolly Parton records at the local record shop. You even filmed one of her strumming sessions and taught her how to post it online.

But the sun was like a harsh hourglass as the evening drew. You understood that your time on the Maximoff homestead was nearing its end. You sat out on the porch, just trying to take in the setting sun one last time.

You took a bite of the steak and eggs set before you. Wanda's whole demeanor was anticipation, just waiting for your reaction. The second the bit of steak hit your lips, it was like food nirvana. A tiny moan escaped your lips. A mischievous smile made its way across Wanda's eyes and lips like a cat who finally caught its mouse.

"You like it?" she asked with a hint of mischief.

"Love it. Best steak I've had in a long time" you smiled back.

"Good" she giggles, "I like the sound you made," she gives you a little wink. You couldn't help but blush.

"So what happens now?"

"No matter what" she whispered, "I'm glad I got to spend this week with you. I ain't ever gonna forget about you."

"You're gonna go far, Wanda" you took her hand, "you're gonna forget about me when you up there, on the stage, touring. With your millions of fans"

"Aw shoot," she giggled, "I don't think a million and one fans could ever make me forget about you"

The two of you just sat there in silence. You didn't want this night to end. If there was some way to stretch it on into infinity you wished you could. You just wanted to spend it with Wanda.

"I-I'm gonna go wash up." She offered a sad smile. And then got up.

It left you wondering. Was the corporate world really what you wanted? You had the most wonderful gal in your arms one moment and the next she would be gone.

You wandered the hallway. The sound of the shower had died out awhile back. You just walked right up to Wanda's bedroom door. She was probably asleep by then.

All you wanted to do was going into her room and hold her tight. But you understood it was better this way. You were of two separate worlds. Two ships that were passing in the harbor at the same time. You could never ask her to give up her tour just to stay with you in the city.

“I’m sorry Wanda” you whispered to her door before leaving.

You walked into your room to grab a towel for your own shower and came face to face with a sight that both surprised and delighted you.

There she was, a goddess among mortals, the bedsheet tucked under her arms. Your country girl was looking at you with those doe like eyes filled with love and desire for you. Her hair still damp with water. She was stark naked and beautiful as ever, only covered by that gossamer sheet.

“We only got tonight, city boy” she said softly. “And I wanna spend it with you”

You were left dumbfounded, but in the best possible way.

“So…” she asked with a smirk, “you just gonna admire the view or you wanna ride?”

You smiled and took off your shirt before joining her in your bed. If tonight was all you two had, then you make it last as long as possible.

You got under the covers. Wanda reached up and began kissing you once, twice. She giggled as she switched positions with you and straddled your waist, letting the bed sheet fall away.

I didn't sleep much, but I did rest! although I did sleep on the floor, haha! ( I did try sleeping in my bed but miss amelie wouldn't stop meowing, the second I moved to the floor near her, she layed down stated purring and went to sleep ) !! anyways, at 4-ish she started meowing ( the last time I owned a cat I was like... 4 ) which I didn't really expect, but anyways! I let her out and put her in the litter box and good news! she's atleast a bit potty-trained!!

anyways, I got up, fed her got her fresh water ( my dumbass accidentally got some wet food in the water, which I changed once she stopped eating )

anyways! I got her to stop trying to... scratch and eat my charging cable ( got close and hissed a little whenever she did, which worked! small tip, don't be overly aggressive when trying to teach a cat to not do something! if you don't communicate with a cat like a cat, they'll just think theyre getting hurt for no reason! ) also I don't think she likes the air from the fan, loll.

anyways!! we're going to the pet store and homegoods after my mom gets off of work to get her stuff! I already know a few things I wanna get for her; a pastel yellow collar+a nametag, a kitty condo, claw covers ( if they have em! if not, online shopping will work ) and all that! !

also, she's not only extremely affectionate ( and constantly purring and making biscuits, although I do worry if there's a reason for why she's this level of affectionate, perhaps she's just like this though! ) she'll literally. like. try to climb up my back ( tug me down?? ) and bomp my head a ton ( my glasses have fallen off multiple times just this morning but I'm not complaining. she's big on biscuits, I had to put my blanket over my lap bcuz I have boxers on. my legs are bare and defenseless. also she's kneeded my?? fucking hand??? go off ig, loll

Happy @jonsimsandcats day! I'd wanted to write a new fic for today, but alas, the chronic illnesses are Illnessing, and so instead, I have for you a small collection of ideas @artificialdaydreamer and I have dreamt up and some snippets to accompany them. They are: 1. Sasha the comforter, 2. Sasha gets a new cat tower, and 3. Sasha can talk (under the cut)

1. Sasha the comforter

Jon's had a bad week, really. The whole thing could go in the bin, but it was today in particular that made things seem so grim. How does someone get over an apocalypse? Jon still doesn't know, and whenever his students make mention of their scant memories of the experience, his guilt climbs high into his throat and makes a home there. Sasha makes a small chirping noise as they near the front door, and he offers her a small pat as he reaches for his key. The door closes behind him, he sets his bag down, he feeds Sasha and puts her on the floor, and then he's suddenly in his bed, crying. It's been happening more and more lately, which is supposedly a good thing, according to his therapist. But that doesn't stop the guilt--the guilt for freeing the Fears, for saving himself and Martin, for starting to be happy. And talking to Martin about this is very hard, because Martin doesn't believe the damning of an untold number of souls is really Jon's fault. It is Jon's fault, of course, but he appreciates that Martin's love convinces him otherwise. He really does, but it's usually better to have this self-pitying cry before Martin gets home. Sasha barrels into the room, full speed ahead, and climbs into his lap, and isn't that a prime example of the love, kindness, and happiness he doesn't deserve? "Sasha, no," he says softly, rubbing his nose on his sleeve as he gently pushes her away with the other hand. "Sasha, you're too little, I'll hurt you." She gives a tiny but ferocious meow and leaps into his lap again, this time climbing his shirt and making her home in his pocket again, purring so hard, he can feel the reverberation in his chest. He pauses, his sobs temporarily stopped in confusion and heartbreak, then says, "I know you want to help, but I don't want to squish you, darling." "MEOW!!" "Okay okay!" And he's laughing now, tears streaming down his cheeks, but somehow, the guilt feels a little lighter.

2. Sasha gets a new cat tower, and she's adorable

"Jon, that's not really going to fit in our flat," Martin says, but he's laughing. He's just gotten home from the shops, and Jon is almost entirely through building Sasha's new cat tower. "Martin, my love, it's already fitting in the flat," he says without emotion, gesturing to the obvious piece of furniture in their living room. "Not very well," his husband says, still laughing. "I'm not sure where you and I are supposed to sit or stand." Jon refuses to acknowledge that, instead placing the final flower bed on the top of the last tower and beginning the process of screwing it into place. He says, "You ordered this one, not me." Sasha, as always, has impeccable timing, and chooses this moment to venture out from the bedroom to survey her new throne, interrupting Martin before he tries to protest his online shopping choices. She pauses to let Martin bend down to pet her and offer her some sweet words before she makes her way to the new cat condo. She sniffs around the bottom very deliberately, taking each piece in turn, before she rapidly climbs the middle column, right up to where Jon has finished assembling it. "Does it meet your standards, my darling?" She bumps his hand for attention, and then flops onto her tiny side, emitting a little squeak and rubbing her face on a flower petal. "I think it does," Jon says to Martin, sweaty from the effort of building the tower but extremely pleased.

3. Sasha can talk...sort of. This last one doesn't have any real writing attached to it yet, but I love the idea so much, so here you go

Sasha's a little older now, and Jon learns that actually yes he can talk to her. It starts off small, where it seems more like she and Jon are having conversations where he's speaking aloud and she's meowing back. Then one day, he actually hears her answer a question as "No" and goes "MARTIN DID YOU HEAR THAT SHE SAID NO!" Martin: "Uh, she meowed?" Then it builds up to where, as she grows over a few months, she's much like a toddler in that her speech capabilities also grow. "The fucking Eye is useful for something here at least," Jon grumbles. "I love you, Dad," Sasha meows back, and Jon's eyes tear up

I would love to hear about your modern au <3

Okay so my modern AU is very loose (there's still magic, vampires, fantasy races, etc.) but with real world locations and references at times. It has been titled "bass pro shop pyramid meet cute AU"

The gist is- Gale is on the edge of getting divorced and is at a work conference out of state with some colleges and Mystra and he absolutely beefs finding a place to eat. He thinks he's pulling up a nice interesting restaurant on google maps and fails to realize it's at the top of the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid until he's in the parking lot.

So after they arrive Mystra basically laughs him out of the car and her and his collages leave him there in favor to find somewhere else, but he's adamant that he's gonna get a good meal. Only issue is- restaurant doesn't allow for single seating patrons- you need a party of 2 or more.

Awkwardly he circles the shop asking multiple people if they'd help him out and eat a meal with him, on him of course, but the idea of some stranger approaching most of these people is super off putting. He's wearing a conference lanyard, he's sweaty and unorganized. When he spots this super tall, ambiguously gendered githyanki watching the live bass in one of the tanks.

Rehearsing to himself a few times, Gale decides this is his last shot and approaches the gith. "Hello, I'm one Gale Dekarios, you don't know me but I'm out of town and I've found myself in a bit of a predicament- might you lend a hand?" Gum hears him out and agrees to eat with him.

They have a surprising dinner. Gale finds out that Gum is also not from the area, he's on a trip and works at a hospice back in his home state. They share a bottle of wine, eat some expensive steaks, and it leaves Gale sweaty and exhilarated. They exchange social media contacts and just like Cinderella, Gum has to go because he's flying out tomorrow and leaves Gale one of his keychains to remember him by.

Gale returns to his daily life back in his home state, and everything feels so pale, so empty. He's chasing the high of this ambiguous stranger and he's determined to see them again. With a little detective work Gale's able to cross reference a general idea of which hospice Gum works for and sees that it's fairly close to a near by campus that's owned by the same umbrella as the one he's working for now. Myatra's already finalized the divorce, she's taken her belongings, and he no longer feels welcome at his own work due to the shunning gaze of his peers.

So in a VERY impulsive decision Gale travels across the country to move to Gum's state, finding a nice place to live that will accommodate him and his cat's needs, and gets the job transfer. He's trying not to get his hopes up, this mysterious stranger barely posts online and might not remember him, but Gale HAS to try. It's suffocating him.

Once he's moved in he reaches out to Gum and lets him know he's in the gith's neck of the woods. Wants to know if they'd like to meet for a meal 'for old times sake'. The reality that he divorced his wife and moved across country to meet a stranger is hitting him hard, but he's ecstatic when Gum answers and they exchange phone numbers to work out the logistics. Gale insists on meeting Gum at his place, even tho Gum tries to convince Gale to meet him at the restaurant.

Gale arrives and Gum doesn't answer the door to the run down apartment, instead he's met with a shorter female gith he comes to know is Lae'zel. She informs Gale that Gum's not home from his shift yet, but he can come inside. This is where Gale sees that Astarion, an elven vampire, is also living here. He makes small talk, immediately hit with jabbing comments from the two of them but he takes it in jest. He absolutely understands how crazy this all seems and he hasn't even told Gum he's moved to the area- just that he was visiting.

Before Astarion can make some scalding comments about Gale's tan where the ghost of a wedding ring once sat, Gum comes home and is shocked to find Gale and the others talking. He asks a moment if he can shower before the leave, feeling ripe from working with the soon to be deceased. Before Gum leaves the room he gives Astarion and Lae'zel a warning look, one they both completely ignore and continue playing twenty questions with their new prey.

Gale offers to take Gum to a fancy restaurant but instead Gum insists on taking him to a B rated hole in the wall place instead. It's crowded, it's loud, but the food is nothing like Gale's ever had before. He's eating skewers of meat with his hands, they have lively conversation, and finally it gets to the point where Gale wants to start probing on what Gum's situation really is.

He finds out that Gum is in an open situationship with Astarion, as he's his primary source of blood, but they haven't been intimate in several years. Lae'zel is another ex of his, but they've realized that while they but heads they work great as friends. Since rent is so expensive, the three decided to go in together on a larger apartment even if it's leaky and they're just barely scraping by. Gale tells Gum about his ex wife, leaving out her name, and comes to find out that Gum is actually familiar with the school Gale and Mystra both worked at. He's been taking online night classes there on a scholarship to try and get out of his dead end job.

After a few dates they decide to take things slow. Gale starts inviting him over more, Gum also inviting Gale to his apartment as well. They have conflicting work schedules but they make time for one another. It brings Gale such joy to cook and care for Gum and his roommates when he visits. Soon lae'zel and Astarion start becoming Gale's acquaintances and friends as well, introducing him into their circle: Shadowheart, Karlach and Wyll. Eventually Gale makes two friends at his job: Halsin and Minthara, but also a rivalry with another colleague Loroakan.

One day while Gale is at Gum's place cooking him breakfast, he happens to peak over and see that Gum's in an online lesson with who else but Mystra running the class. Immediately he burns his hand, breaks something, drawing attention both from Gum and the professor on the screen. Mystra, ever cold and professional, simply tells Gum to mute his mic and turn off his camera and that he can review the lesson from the recording later but not to distract the class. Afterwards, Gum is very much like "what the fuck is wrong with you" to Gale while patching up his hand and it comes out that, oh, this is your ex. The one that you have a shitty tattoo for.

Gale takes it upon himself to reach out to Mystra and ask that Gum not be penalized or docked points bc of his distraction, to which she simply states she had no such intention unless it happens again. Relieved that Gum isn't getting negative treatment on his account, Gale feels a little lighter even if it is weird that his new partner is studying under his ex wife.

Astarion delights in this news TERRIBLY and has found new hobby in reading Gale relentlessly for it. Lae'zel could care less but jokingly offers that she "knows a guy" if he "needs to hide a body."

I got really really excited to discuss this so sorry for the length- but I think about this silly bass pro shop meet cute AU every few months. Very much a "me and the baddie I pulled by being autistic" only they're both autistic.

Had an idea for Obey Me fluff. Due to an accident, a spell from Solomon turns M/C into a baby (under 3). How would the brothers react? I imagine that the pacts are still in place, and she still likes everyone so no drama over scared baby with no memory. And, maybe Solomon could hint at the end that it was actually done on purpose so the demons could have a taste of what it would be like when M/C has their own children.

immediately picks you out of solomon’s arms when he sees you, and tells him to stay the hell away from you.

when he sees you he’s immediately reminded of the anime that-one-time-my-crush-turned-into-a-baby-and-I-had-to-take-care-of-them and starts freaking out

plays iPad kid games with you in his room, and watches anime with you while your seated in his lap

will let you play with his ruri-chan figurines and thinks it’s very cute that you like them

Is incredibly confused as to how this occurred, but adjusts pretty quickly

he sees this as a huge advantage. why ? what do babies do? sleep. what does belphie do? sleep. honestly he sleeps as much as a baby does, so he is incredibly thrilled to have a napping buddy !

belphie tends to rock you in his arms until you fall asleep, when he’ll lay you gently in his lap and softly caresses your forehead

SATAN

at first he thinks of ways to kill solomon but honestly, you look so adorable! so he decides to come up with a plan to kill solomon later.

immediately puts you in a cat onesie.

goes out to buy baby books with you in a stroller, and people comment on how cute of a baby you are which causes him to blush but also fills his heart with adoration and love for you

and lays you in his lap and reads to you

will not let mammon anywhere near you because Satan is convinced mammon will drop you

screams in joy as soon as he sees you. he just can’t get over how adorable you look!!
