Pre Release of Travel Show Thoughts

This might be a bit all over the place 🙈

Just some random thoughts after talking with my friends.

Remember when Hope on the Street came out and it was on Amazon Prime. I think many of us were thinking that was the end of the set shows, programs etc that were gonna appear on Disney+ from BTS.

We’ve had a number of shows from the group since Chapter 2

I kinda forgot about their Disney deal when the talks of Jikook’s travel show started to become real. My friends and I started guessing if it would be on Weverse only, like Jimin’s Production Diary or on YouTube like Suchwita & Jin’s The Drunken Truth. We were hoping and praying it wouldn’t just be one Bangtan Episode or on a South Korean nft platform like the HYYH series Begins ≠ Youth.

To be honest we hoped for a Jikook YouTube Channel (still dreaming for one🥲), where after service they could come back and carry on with more adventures and content, but we would have settled for Prime too.

I say all of this to say, how come it’s on Disney+ again after the switch up with the last HYBE show Hope on the Street being on Prime?

It makes me wonder about the start of the show’s planning. Like Jungkook said in Suchwita it was kinda spontaneous and following a years old conversation between Jimin & Jungkook. Them seizing the opportunity of the both of them being together in New York, after Jimin went to support Jungkook’s solo debut performance.

I wonder about if Jikook knew if their application for companion enlistment had been approved yet. Many have covered in detail the program and the kinda 1 in 100 chance of getting approved for it. BTS already have done many unique things and why should their military service be any different, all members aiming to at one point in time be serving at the same time and have all completed their service to not have to worry about it again?

Anyway back to the the point 😅. As all the members wanted to enlist and return as one unit in 2025 and with Jimin being in his last year of eligibility due to age criteria, if they hadn’t have been approved Jikook wouldn’t have been certain of being together for their 18 month military service.

It makes me wonder about their plans. If they wanted to create as many memories as they could in as many places as they could together just in case they weren’t going to be able to enlist together.

If they wanted to take the moments in between the end of FACE promotions, the little gap at the start of SEVEN promotions and the gap in between the rest of GOLDEN’s recordings, MUSE’ recording and also squeezing some more travel at the end of GOLDEN promotions, Jungkook’s Japan promotions and the Usher remix video Jungkook had to do straight after Japan.

It feels to me like Jikook knew that regardless of if they did enlist together, they wouldn’t have been able to travel as a duo for a long time as if we can take Jim as an example, the members will most likely be going straight into OT7 work mode once they complete their service in 2025.

It feels to me like if Jikook hadn’t have gotten their companion enlistment approved, the travelogue was a was to permanently keep record of the many memories they wanted to make.

That with everything on Jungkook’s plate it wouldn’t be feasible for one GCF Tokyo style video like before.

For starters their travels were on a much larger scale than their 2017 trip to Tokyo.

Not just one hotel in one destination, walking around the city, visiting some shops restaurants and Disney but multiple countries, multiple hotels, villas, camping, kayaking, yachting, skiing, indoor adventures, restaurants etc

They are way more globally recognisable than in 2017 where there were still some sightings but not as many as if it was 2023.

Jungkook and Jimin literally had to squeeze these moments in between hectic schedules tight time constraints.

It makes sense that they would utilise their company to help with areas to visit to help with descretion, with bookings, as they’d have to book out whole villas, hotel floors, activity locations etc. it makes sense that because they’d need security.

How would they coordinate everything in the midst of recordings, rehearsals and flying around the world for international promotions?

Their company and staff are still a company, whose main directive is to make money, beginning and end of it all.

I’m sure the company are nice enough to the members but how would such time, resources and expenses be written off if Jikook asked on the company to help them with security details, with flight planning, whole hotel floor booking, villa bookings, closing businesses down for the duration they wanted to visit or opening ski resorts up a day early etc.

We all know the members and joke about how they’ll wear expensive watches and clothes but still fight over a rice cooker as a prize or Jungkook take home hotel toiletries or ingredients from run cooking episodes etc

So for the company and staff to help Jikook make this a possibility in the time the had before enlistment how would it make sense financially? How would it benefit everyone? We know Jikook love sharing with army, Jungkook’s lives of 2023 show us, their predebut days of vlogging to now show us, Jungkook’s GCFT shows us. They share.

So a show, sure, Jikook are used to cameras, the members are able to retain their authenticity through they years since day one of being in front of a camera.

hi yall im finally posting my account of seeing onf in chicago!!!! its only like 4 days late... like i said best day ever!!! below are all my notes + a bunch of photos, please forgive what i look like lol but i was so happy :)

for those that know me, know this was a HUGE deal. so of course this is going to be very long and detailed. luckily for most of my followers ill be putting it under a readmore <3

so i bought the highest tier ticket for obvious reasons, so ill just so chronologically:

first was sound check and they did ugly dance and i could NOT believe i was seeing onf in the flesh. im pretty sure i died and went to heaven then and there

once they were done with soundcheck, they did the hi-touch and group photo. the actual practice was messy but it was fun so i don't think people minded. i dont remember anything except that for whatever reason, i was legitimately the FIRST PERSON and it was a lot lmao

additionally during the group photo i had wyatt to myself lol i froze for a second but he was so kind and polite, he asked what pose i wanted to do and i dont remember if i responded or not but we did a little heart together <3

then the fansign happened and i dont remember the majority of it, partly bc i was a flustered idiot lol but i got my complete album signed!!!! life goal met for sure. wyatt i remember specifically thinking again how kind and polite he was, idr seungjun/etion but i got to hyojin and he had his hand up kind of for a highfive and i gave him the album and tried to high five at the same time it was. very awkward LOL he thought it was funny (i hope) then yuto complimented my kitty cat ears!!! i remember saying something stupid and being an idiot in front of minkyun too but. what can we do

finally was the long anticipated fanchat!!! i had my fanchat with yuto obviously and it was nerve wracking as hell but i love him so much i powered through and i hope he got something out of our conversation

the photo that we took & he signed was my best one of the night, so im really happy with how that turned out. its going to be my treasure for a long time to come:

anyway first thing i want to note is that we were sitting at high tables for the talk, but he couldnt even sit without the table dwarfing him so he stood the whole time LMAO my short king i love him so much

so after we took the photo i sat down and honestly im not sure how much he understood the first half, bc he didnt react/respond and he was slightly confused about english in the 2nd half but ANYWAY i told him i was so so proud of him, how far he's come and especially weathering the time of being alone during military era... lots of gushy stuff lol

then i asked him what b-side he liked dancing to the most and he was SO CUTE when he cocked his head and went "b-side?" so it took a moment to get my point across and he was like ohhhh, umm fly me to the moon! and i almost made a total fool of myself reacting LOL bc as some of you know, fly me to the moon is literally my favorite ONF b-side. of all time. and partly due to yuto's center dance break with the saxophone.

yuto was confused but excited when i reacted (like i audibly gasped) and i said omg thats my favorite too!!! and he got so happy and i even proved it further being like, *points to u* dance break center! saxophone! and he nodded a bunch and was so excited lmao

i think he was also surprised at being a favorite, especially when he asked me when i became a fan and i said end of 2017 (which was true i was a fan, but became a stan in jan of 2019) and he seemed impressed! then our chat had ended there and i almost passed out afterwards haha

then we all had to leave the venue again before the concert started. i met a lot of really cool people that day so some of us went across the street to dunkin. had fun lmao

the concert started and my GOD minkyun's mic was on!!!!! and how does he always have so much energy??? also i had the lightstick and was having the time of my life screaming along lol they were fantastic incredible showstopping etc etc i tried to take some videos but i was just vibing (and shaking) too much i had to give up. but it was so nice to finally go to a concert that i had the lightstick for

went into the concert with solid 3rd bias (etion) and came out of it 3rd bias as seungjun lol. theres a lot to talk about song-wise but ill save that for later. in short, i almost cried when they did bye my monster. and tmwl. and byubyu.

also elle i did record asteroid for you (not that its a good video, or one that ill share...) but it did remind me of you lol! they did difficult & moscow moscow which were both surprises to me but very welcome. all day as well was fantastic!

about halfway thru the concert (but not the ballad section) i had given up on videos so i was just rocking out w the lightstick & i pretended to hit hyojins high note with the lightstick as a microphone until someone that i met nudged me & looked up to see seungjun staring at me

it was sooo funny the facial expression he was making. i cant even describe it but once we made eye contact it was like he smiled slowly literally like the grinch and went 'hehe' to make sure i knew he saw me doing that LOL

so i knew i had to get a snapshot with him that showcased the lightstick:

theres so much more about the concert but its all mainly about the songs & the fact i finally saw them live. but i do need to mention the fact goosebumps was practically a rave lmao loved it

after the concert was the group photo selfie which was really cool but would be better if my phones camera wasnt absolute shit & they did a more flattering angle...

dont let this photo fool you, they are short kings (im as tall or taller than multiple of them, minkyun & wyatt are the only ones i remember being taller than me. wyatt was surprising)

i didnt really say anything memorable during snapshots bc i was just so star-struck, but i do remember wyatt going out of his way to be nice lol also i saw yuto multiple times & i was sooo mad there was only a few of us that bought premium snapshot for him. i also got along well with minkyun and highfived him again. i let most of the members choose their poses. yes i got multiple mks. yes i made him do cat ears.

anyway tl;dr best day of my life, its only downhill from here! unless they announce another tour... we shall see... im so glad they're getting so much love from fuse, i know we (both onf and fuses) have been waiting for a long time

im also very happy that there really is no reason NOT to have overseas tours... we've already beat the 7 year curse & completed military. the world is onf's oyster and i cant wait to see what they do going forward <3

Hi ! I love your detailed responses when it’s about dancing and choreographies so any choreographies that stand out for you since the beginning of this year ? For me one that stand out is Nightwalker by Ten I really like the styling and the artistry of it as a whole feel like the choreography really reflect the atmosphere of the song and the movements mirrored the creepiness of the beat and the synergy between him and his dancers is always pleasing to see I really like what he does during his solo

oh nightwalker is top for sure! it's probably gonna stay in the top five, it's one of the few that is actually choreographed to the concept of the cb. and the execution is excellent, obvs. another one that's strongly themed is young posse's xxl! really excellent variations in formation and use of 90s hiphop shapes modernized in a smart way. gotta do the obligatory salute to the only damn theatre kids left in this godforsaken industry (onf), bc the bye my monster choreo is fantastic. the walk choreo is also great! i wasn't actually expecting it to be bad, but it got absolutely butchered by the music show camerawork, so watch the dance practice or one of the stationary fancams in order to get the full effect. have to include riize impossible mention bc finally a house song and house choreo, even if it's pretty basic. its interesting that i'm noticing the trend this year seems to be kicking/leg related point choreo; you can see it in impossible obvs since house is lit about footwork, but also boom boom bass, 82major's choke, jinhyuk's relax, and allhours' shock. i would also consider supernova in this category too, esp considering gg choreo rarely has lower body emphasis. maybe it's not even a trend at all since i'm barely paying attention to anything right now, but it is a minor commonality that i've noted. also love allhours' wao wao choreo bc it is 3rd gen nonsense for no reason. it's literally a bside and they got a kid raw dogging a standing back tuck on CONCRETE. he didn't need to do that! it's crazy enough without it, there's also an honest to god pirouette in the middle of the damn thing too! with tracking! why!

Kpop Groups Streamers Would Be In

(With explanations. Some more detailed than others. to keep me awake)

Tommy - Astro

I think Tommy would fit best with Astro because they don't have an outright cute concept, but not out right cool concepts either. They produce some sappy, upbeat pop that would fit Tommy's image. His role in the group would be sub vocal

Tubbo - Fromis_9 (or nct dream pre boom)

I think Tubbo fits best with girl group fromis_9 due to his youthful energy and cute girl slay factor. While I don't like fromis post hybe acquisition, I still think Tubbo could fit into concepts like DM. Alterntitvly: he and Wonyoung (IVE) are literally the same person. His role in the group would be visual or sub vocal/sub rapper

Ranboo - Boys Planet 999 contestant

I do not think Ranboo could be in any group. Not even in a nugu. He is that contestant on a survival show who gets popular for "reverse charm" (untalented) and just barely misses the required debut ranking.

Purpled is just too damn cute he could be in DamDaDi. He's probably that member who wants a cool concept so bad but isn't given one and has to grit his teeth through cute concepts. His role in the group would be maknae

This one is entirely bias but for some reason when I listen to Popping by ONF I inexplicably think of Jack Manifold. Ha, I bet you thought I was going to reference Peniel, didn't you? WRONG. Jack Manifold is stationed eating as the vocalist of the group.

"Ateez→NMIXX" MBC 'Idol Radio' Concert 1st Lineup Revealed

The first lineup of MBC radio 'IDOL RADIO LIVE IN SEOUL' to be held in September has been revealed. In the second half of this year, 'Idol Radio Live in Seoul', the largest concert in Korea, announced the first lineup of 9 teams. First of all, the group ATEEZ belonging to Hongjoong and Yunho, who are active as DJs of 'Idol Radio Season 3', was listed. DAY6's Young K, who was the DJ of 'Idol Radio Season 1', as well as Apink, Oh My Girl, iKON, ONF, N-Mix, etc. In addition to this, band idol LUCY and singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon will decorate a colorful stage. 'IDOL RADIO LIVE IN SEOUL' will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Saturday, September 23rd. It is an attractive content unique to 'Idol Radio', which has been loved as a K-pop specialized program since 2018, and will be with K-pop fans who have shown steady love. During the mid semester break, my partner and I met up at the workshop to work on the physical elements of our assignment. She would start working on our aluminium bird, while I started making a foam bird. It was at this point that we discussed incorporating a 3D element, specifically in the wings. We thought the foam bird would be a good place to start, so what I did was cut out templates of the wings from the base bird. Then I just scaled them down twice. I'll be honest, I don't remember what the machine I used was called, but I was able to cut out the shape of the foam bird with heat from this little blade-thing.

The result turned out pretty well - albeit a little wonky because of how unfamiliar I was with working the machinery (and the material, honestly). I don't have the steadiest of hands, so in some spots where I went slow or even stopped for a moment, my hands shook and I ruined the outline a bit. But it didn't really matter in the end, because my partner and I both agreed that it worked for the purpose we needed it for - and it was a module, not an actual artwork. The wings haven't been put on as of the time of writing this post, however, my partner and I were discussing how they would be attached. A couple of things that were suggested were, PVA glue, hot glue (on a low setting of course) or toothpicks. My partner was going to come back into the workshop soon, and so we both agreed to leave it to her to experiment with.

My project partner later in this week had then turned both the foam bird and the wooden bird into 3D models. For the wooden bird, she also carved out the wings and tail. She explained to me that we could add dirt and plants, adding another element to the project that she had an idea for in the beginning.

Dale Rodgers is an award winning metal sculptor and artist, and he created these pieces called the Flight collection. They're a series of metal birds suspended in vertical rectangle frames. They're supposed to mimic migrating birds, and the Madison Area Arts Alliance said they're there to 'nest' for the exhibition they were featured in, before migrating elsewhere. Rodgers himself calls them "gulls", and says they're a travelling exhibition, adding to the 'migrating birds' feel of them.

I love the fact that you can stand under these birds and have the feeling of watching them soar past you overhead. It gives them a sense of life, despite their mostly 2D nature. In which I mean that standing under them makes them seem 2D, while stepping back and really taking in the detail makes them 3D. This shift, both in perspective and dimension, is what makes this piece really interesting to me. While I don't really have the materials and time to make something of this scale, I think this aspect would have been incredibly interesting to explore.

Located in Fort Worth, Texas, this scissor-tailer flycatcher bird was created by studioOutside and is located in Bluestem Park in Alliance Town Centre. The large sculpture acts as a playground, able to be climbed on and played with, as seen in the above picture.

I really love the semi-realistic elements of the composition of the bird. The interactive elements are what I'm drawn to the most and I find the abstract nature awesome. Similar to what I discussed in my last post with Fiona Foley's work, the sculpture invites the audience, though mainly kids, to interact with it and encourages imaginative play. I really like this more childish rendition of the contemporary sculpture. I think that creating something in this style would be fun. While my own is, again, vastly different in visual terms, we come back to the similarities with the context behind it. The wish that the general public interact with it and invite some elements onf imaginative play.

oh you KNOW i gotta do space concept for onf!!! i didnt have to get this detailed but i did, and i think you knew i would lmaoooo okay so idk how it would be implimented exactly, but it would be the finale of their current universe (?) so they can start a new (and better, more thoughtout) onfverse lol. so the album itself is going to be about renewal with the moon/lunar phases as a metaphor

the album will be a full album with 8 songs for each of the 8 phases but the phases arent the title of the tracks, its like a list -- PHASE 1: PROLOGUE etc and lists all 8. i wont come up with the entire list since im mostly focused on the concept/design but yeah. track list is PHASE 2: IN THE KNOW and its very similar to onfs early stuff. like mix flying to the moon with we must love. yeah

the actual album design is in the shape/color of a rocket LOL its so cute and when you open it, thats where the picturebook, PCs, stickers and other inclusions are. theyre all arranged in a tetris way, bc its difficult since the picturebook is circular. the jacket making isall space related obviously, but at the top of the photobook is a small illustration. every page is nearly identical in that sense, so when you flip the photobook quickly it shows an animation of the moon phases at the end, once the phases are over, it only says in big bold print: WHAT'S NEXT? with a QR code located below it. the code brings you to an unlisted video of onf doing commentary on their time in the current onfverse (this is mostly because i want to know their thoughts on all the concepts lol) YEAHHHH thats it sorry its a lot but its to be expected <3
