Some WLW (?) Jdrama & Kdrama recommendations!
Tumblr media
Jdramas and Kdramas have a (not-entirely-unearned) reputation for being very straight, but here are a few which are either canonically F/F or which prominently feature a female-female pair-- please enjoy! For those who enjoy following series in real time, Chaser Game W and She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat S2 are both airing this January 2024 :)
As with my post on anime with yuri subtext, since subtext is so subjective, this list only includes series which I’ve actually watched, and so is by no means intended to be comprehensive. Also, it doesn't include any webseries, since those probably deserve a post of their own.
At-a-glance list:
Miss Sherlock (8 episodes, 2018) (subtext)
Night Light (20 episodes, 2016) (subtext)
Tokusatsu Gagaga (7 episodes, 2019) (subtext)
Painter of the Wind (20 episodes, 2008) (canon?)
She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat (10 15-minute episodes and counting, 2022~) (canon)
Sono Toki, Heart wa Nusumareta (5 episodes, 1992) (canon)
Chaser Game W (10? 30-minute episodes, 2024) (canon)
Doctor X (7 seasons and counting, 2012~) (subtext)
Bonus: SKY Castle (20 episodes, 2018) (subtext)
Summaries under the cut!
1. Miss Sherlock / ミス・シャーロック (8 episodes, 2018) (subtext) – MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
The elevator pitch for this show is simple: it’s Sherlock Holmes, but where Holmes and Watson – here named “Sherlock” and Tachibana Wato, and played by Takeuchi Yuko and Kanjiya Shihori, respectively – are both female, and the cases are all set in modern Tokyo. As with other adaptations, mystery-solving and the budding relationship between the two leads takes centre stage, but Miss Sherlock manages to carve out an identity all its own.
There’s a calm beauty to its visuals, which favour sunlight and urban greenery, and the show’s focus on former doctor Wato as she tries out new jobs and goes to therapy means that there’s a surprisingly high number of slice-of-life scenes. It’s also subtly more female-focused than the source material; Sherlock’s gossipy but good-natured landlady Ms. Hatano (Ito Ran) is as much a member of the household as Sherlock and Wato, and the cases often revolve around female characters. But more than anything, it’s just really fun to watch Sherlock and Wato’s relationship bloom as they snip and snipe and are utterly unable to stay out of each other’s space (literally – the body language and blocking is *chef’s kiss*). Their relationship is the heart of the show – watch this one until the end, you won’t regret it!
(CW: psychological abuse, manipulation, and genre-typical murder, violence, and gore)
2. Night Light / 불야성 (20 episodes, 2016) (subtext) - MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
(Note: spoilers for the mid-season twist, but it’s impossible to allude to a good portion of the F/F subtext without doing so, and I think knowing the twist ahead of time doesn’t make it any less enjoyable.)
Night Light is a rather odd show. It’s simple enough on the face of it, a story about  successful but ruthless CEO Seo Yi-kyung (an icy Lee Yo-won) who tries to mold the younger Lee Se-jin (a puppy-eyed Uee) in her own ambitious image, only for her protege to develop the conscience she never had and move to stop her dastardly plans… but upon watching it’s a totally different creature,  thanks to the alchemic reactions of some delightfully contradictory acting choices (Uee’s performance convinces viewers less of Se-jin’s supposed latent desire for power and money, and more of a deep love and devotion for the CEO) and the unintentionally (?) inneundo-laden script (“If I like something once, I never forget it– whether it’s a dress… or a person,” declares the CEO less than ten minutes into the first episode while gazing intently at Se-jin).
Honestly, it’s a wonder this series ever got made, but you certainly won’t see me complaining! The first part is full of boss/subordinate goodness; Se-jin is unable to resist the CEO’s magnetic pull despite her hot-and-cold behaviour, while the CEO cannot bring herself to push Se-jin away completely. And then, when Se-jin makes her mind up to stop the CEO, it morphs into a corporate take on a (subtextual) lovers-on-opposite-sides situation, where it is precisely Se-jin’s feelings for the CEO that motivate her to stop her. In short, it’s a workplace GL fan’s dream.
Note: If you do watch it, skip the corporate politicking cutscenes with the old men, you’ll thank me later. Also, there’s a prominent male character who is the CEO’s ex and who works closely with Se-jin in the second half, but don’t worry, all the M/F romance is in the past (and doesn’t get much screentime)– he and Se-jin aren’t interested in each other at all.
3. Tokusatsu Gagaga / トクサツガガガ (7 episodes, 2019) (subtext) - MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
Nakamura Kano (Koshiba Fuka) lives and breathes tokusatsu shows (think Power Rangers, if you’re not familiar), but keeps it a secret from her work colleagues to avoid being shunned or laughed at. And yet she yearns for connection, so when she sees a woman on the subway bearing a keychain from her favourite show (Yoshida Hisami, played by Kurashina Kana), she is determined to find her again.
Although ostensibly about being a tokusatsu fan as an adult, this show is rife with queer subtext, and not in the usual way. It deals with the difficulties of staying in the closet (regarding being an adult tokusatsu fan), the desire to connect with other queer people adult tokusatsu fans and how one might do so through hints and signals, parental disapproval arising from gendered and social expectations (that tokusatsu shows are for boys, and magical girl shows for girls), intersectionality and finding comradeship with other minorities people who are excluded due to their interests, and even generational gaps wherein younger queers fans may underestimate the obstacles that still exist. Although all that might sound a bit stressful, it isn’t actually! Difficult incidents are handled with sympathy and a dash of wry humour, and the show never loses sight of the fact that it – above all else – is a story about finding queer community in the face of a heteronormative hostile world, told with warmth and the nuance of lived experience.
4. Painter of the Wind / 바람의 화원 (20 episodes, 2008) (canon?) - MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
Adapting the novel of the same name by Lee Jung-myung, Painter of the Wind takes as its protagonist a gender-bent version of real-life Joseon-era painter Shin Yun-bok (Moon Geun-young), whose paintings are used to weave a tale of artistry, political intrigue, and romance, and more than anything else to offer modern-day viewers a glimpse of everyday life in 18th-century Korea.
While it may sound like Dickinson’s boring cousin, apart from having a common preoccupation with reframing historical works, another similarity the two shows share is that Painter of the Wind is also very gay. Starting from the first episode, Yun-bok meets and becomes fascinated by the courtesan Jung-hyang (Moon Chae-won), who despite her initial aloofness is drawn to Yun-bok’s intellect and sensitive demeanour. It’s a real meeting of the minds, their witty repartee in early episodes reminiscent of Twelfth Night’s Viola and Olivia, and their relationship isn’t siloed off from the main plot either: Yun-bok’s infatuation quickly starts causing issues with her academic career, and the two eventually have to contend with Jung-hyang’s precarious position as a courtesan as well.
Unfortunately, all this is undermined in the back half of the show, which tries to gaslight viewers into thinking that Yun-bok’s feelings for Jung-hyang were purely platonic all along and that she totally has romantic feelings for her much older male mentor— but hey, at least it’s an open ending. Despite everything, though, I can’t think of another serious historical TV show which features such a prominent F/F narrative for its main character, even nearly two decades later. (Let me know if you have any others! And no, Gentleman Jack doesn’t count, it’s not exactly traditional in style!)
(CW: period-typical sexism)
5. She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat / 作りたい女と食べたい女 (10 15-minute episodes and counting, 2022~) (canon) - MyDramaList
Tumblr media
Based on Yuzaki Sakaomi’s manga of the same name, this simple but sweet show follows home-cooking extraordinaire Nomoto Yuki (Higa Manami), who yearns to cook large-scale dishes but doesn’t eat enough to justify making them. Luckily for her, her neighbour Kasuga Totoko (Nishino Emi) has a massive appetite!
It’s always lovely to see more grounded stories about working women, especially when they’re as cute as this one. Though it touches upon some slightly more serious issues, such as with regard to gendered expectations surrounding food and cooking, it’s primarily a feel-good slice-of-life show about two women getting to know each other by cooking and eating delicious food together.
Side note: if you’ve started it and think the show doesn’t look cosy enough, stick it out for a few more episodes, the production values improve after the first part! Also, the series was renewed for a second season with double the episode count (for a total of 20 episodes) which will start airing on January 29th this year, so this is the perfect time to jump in!
6. Sono Toki, Heart wa Nusumareta / その時、ハートは盗まれた (5 episodes, 1992) (canon) - MyDramaList
Tumblr media
Sono Heart, as it’s nicknamed, starts off as a typical heteronormative high school romance: bumbling protagonist Shiina Hiroko (Isshiki Sae) is desperate to get closer to her crush Katase Masato (Kimura Takuya), star of the school basketball team and all-round nice dude. However, a spanner in the works comes slouching along in the form of female classmate Aso Saki (Uchida Yuki, in her debut role), a mischievous, short-haired personification of trouble who Katase turns out to have feelings for. One day, Hiroko gets into a fight with Saki, and they end up having to stay together after school as punishment. But that afternoon gives them the opportunity to bond over a heart-to-heart conversation, and things seem to improve… until, just before leaving, Saki kisses Hiroko. And then everything changes.
Or rather, everything changes eventually. What’s great about this show is that it doesn’t take shortcuts: Hiroko doesn’t instantly fall in love with Saki. Instead, what you get is a surprisingly layered portrait of a high school girl whose coming to terms with queerness is merely a natural extension of reckoning with her burgeoning sexuality. And, because Saki is self-destructive in her depression and makes a game of belittling, worrying, and infuriating anyone who cares about her, it’s really a story about what it means to love another person rather than a romantic ideal. A word of warning, though: Katase is actually quite a large character, as he and Hiroko end up becoming friends. Also, the ending is very abrupt and inconclusive, though rest assured that it doesn’t try to roll back Hiroko’s feelings, or pair either girl off with a guy.
(CW: self-harm, attempted suicide, bullying, homophobia, underage drinking)
7. Chaser Game W: Power Harassment Boss Is My Ex-Girlfriend / チェイサーゲームW: パワハラ上司は私の元カノ (10? 30-minute episodes, 2024) (canon) - MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
Probably jumping the gun here as only two episodes have aired as of writing, but I feel honour-bound to recommend this as it’d probably appeal to a lot of people, if only they knew about it! Chaser Game W is a standalone spin-off of Chaser Game, itself an adaptation of a manga of the same name by Matsuyama Hiroshi and Matsushima Yukitarou, but you don’t need to know anything going in.
Protagonist Harumoto Itsuki (former Keyakizaka46 captain Sugai Yuuka) has been assigned a new job: her company has been asked by a Chinese conglomerate to develop a game adaptation of a GL manhua, and she’s been tapped as the project leader. However, what appears to be an exciting prospect soon becomes a terrifying one, as the person sent by the client to supervise turns out to be her ex-girlfriend from university (Lin Dongyu, played by Japanese actress Nakamura Yurika), who is now married to a Chinese man (played by a Japanese actor) and has a child, but remains hell-bent on exacting revenge on Itsuki for their bad breakup. This is a romantic (melo)drama rather than a psychological thriller, though, so you won’t be watching Itsuki getting terrorised the entire time. While she is understandably upset by her ex’s current behaviour, Itsuki can’t forget about their happy days together, and Dongyu herself veers between being a sneering bully and craving Itsuki’s affection.
Do note that the show isn’t without its flaws: it’s very Japanese about the Chinese thing, which is to say it’s filled with comments which range from somewhat offensive to borderline racist, and the script will probably give you a headache if you know even the slightest thing about game development. Your mileage might vary on the ex too, as she can be really quite nasty to Itsuki and her teammates. But if you can overlook those issues, this is a rare prize indeed: a TV drama focusing on a canonical F/F pair, who are specifically exes, and in a workplace setting.
(CW: bullying)
8. Doctor X / ドクターX (7 seasons and counting, 2012~) (subtext) - MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
To be very honest, I was in two minds about including Doctor X on this list. It is, with a few notable exceptions, misogynistic and reductive in its depictions of women (especially in the first two seasons), gives too much screentime to objectively awful and subjectively annoying men, doesn’t respect the work done by medical personnel apart from surgeons, and on the technical front is formulaic, repetitive, and often lazy in its writing and presentation. Unfortunately, the dynamic between the genius surgeon protagonist Daimon Michiko (Yonekura Ryoko) and her anaesthesiologist wife partner friend Jounouchi Hiromi (Uchida Yuki) is almost unparalleled in its excellence.
The premise of the series is basic indeed: Daimon Michiko is a freelance surgeon with a healthy disrespect of rules and authority and, unluckily for her detractors, a cast-iron guarantee that she will succeed in any surgery, no matter how difficult. She’s initially portrayed as a lone wolf who’s dismissive of the entire hospital system and anyone who’s part of it— but her interest is piqued by the anaesthesiologist Jounouchi, who is skilled beyond her peers and chafes against the idiocy of her colleagues. For all its flaws, the first season – which is more serious and edgy in tone compared to the others, and isn’t an ensemble cast like the post-S3 seasons – is a fantastic depiction of two people being perfectly matched in skill, intellect, and outlook, and how they come together despite one being standoffish (Jounouchi) and the other not being used to reaching out to or even respecting other people (Daimon).
The seasons after that sadly ditch the emphasis on Jounouchi being Daimon’s professional equal, but in exchange offer up another rare and unexpected gift: two women in their late thirties / early forties who are partners both at work and in private. Jounouchi is Daimon’s designated anaesthesiologist, assisting with nearly every surgery, and she spends so much time at Daimon’s agency-office-slash-house you’d think she’d moved in. Also, after a point they just start being wonderfully dorky and comfortable with each other, while still being consummate professionals in the operating theatre. Although the show is very much focused on Daimon Michiko as its sole protagonist, Jounouchi is undoubtedly the character most significant to her – even more than Daimon’s father figure, the head of the freelance agency – and this is highlighted in the story from time to time. They are very, very good. I just wish the series was better.
Note: If you’re curious, I would recommend watching the very first episode in full– by the end you should know if you’re invested enough to continue, otherwise drop it and live in the happy knowledge that you dodged a bullet. If you aren’t so lucky, I’d advise skipping the surgery segments when they start to bore, and in general to skip liberally. Also, season 4 is not worth watching as a whole, except for the last two episodes, which absolutely should not be missed. Sigh. I can’t speak to seasons 6 and 7, due to having paused mid-S6.
Side note: If you’ve watched Doctor X already and liked it (or at least like Daimon and Jounouchi), but haven’t tried Miss Sherlock yet, definitely give that a go because there seems to be a big overlap in the fandoms. Maybe it’s because they both feature a genius protagonist, have the two largest female characters being work partners, and domestic vibes…?
(CW: sexism, genre-typical gore)
Bonus: SKY Castle / SKY 캐슬 (20 episodes, 2018) (subtext) - MyDramaList | AsianWiki
Tumblr media
(Note: slight spoilers for the early episodes, but it’s necessary in order to give a more accurate recommendation regarding the F/F subtext, especially as the show is not primarily focused on any one relationship.)
This one’s a bonus because unlike the others on this list, there’s no close relationship between two female characters which could be interpreted in a romantic light. That’s not too surprising as the show is all about the women of a several super-wealthy families trying to get their children into the top Korean universities (equivalent to the Ivy League) whilst supporting their husbands in the rat race: a decidedly heteronormative premise, albeit one that’s executed in an award-winning manner.
So why am I listing it? Well, it’s because somehow, in this series about heteronormative and highly gendered nuclear families, it features possibly the most erotically-charged dynamic I have seen, even taking season 1 of Killing Eve into account. (Though it takes some time to get there, so if you try it out, please watch at least the first four episodes before making a decision!)
That honour goes to the problematic gem that is the relationship between the main character Han Seo-jin (Yum Jung-ah), who is willing to do whatever it takes to get her daughter into Seoul’s top medical school, and star tutor Kim Joo-young (Kim Seo-hyung), who is known for her 100% success rate. It starts off with a mild push-and-pull, when Han Seo-jin wants Coach Kim to take on her daughter, but is wary of the shady rumours surrounding her; the tutor stands firm, and Han eventually has to swallow her pride and accept the risks. Where it really comes into its own, though, is when Coach Kim starts to pose a legitimate threat to everything Han cares for: her daughter, her marriage (or rather, what her husband can give her), her position in the world. It becomes increasingly clear that Han should just walk away, and indeed she tries to do so many a time, only to bend in the end because the coach is key to fulfilling her dearest wish– and so to Han, for all she rages and resents and fears, Coach Kim is nothing less than temptation itself. This is the beating core of the show, and even as the plotting disintegrates and falls into melodrama in the second half, their scenes together still crackle with delicious tension every time. Watch it.

Most
Bang Christopher Chan
Tumblr media
- Definitely the most protective, as it is in his DNA to be very protective over the people he cares about. He will oftentimes check up on you and while he won’t meddle too much, he will want to know whatever goes on. He trusts you can handle it but he will always offer you his help. He wants to take care of you and protect you.
- While he’d love to take care of whatever issue you may have, no matter how small it may seem, for you, he knows he can’t and that you may not want him to. He won’t interfere if you ask him not to but his first response will be to offer to take care of anything for you, including your protection. He will always ask (except in emergency cases) for your permission to step in.
- If somebody is making you uncomfortable in his presence, he will step in. He will not get into a physical fight but he will act as threatening and as imposing as he can, taking your hand into his and glaring at whoever it is that is making you uncomfortable.
- He is a worry wart. He won’t be very physical and his way of protecting you is mainly by checking up on you as frequently as possible and letting you know he’s there to help you out, no questions asked.
Seo Changbin
Tumblr media
- This man takes “protecting” you as his duty and he will do it to the utmost of his abilities. He will always be very forward and vocal about this. Whether it is glaring at people who ogle at you (satisfying his jealousy is just an added bonus) or stopping you from doing any chore that could hurt you (including but not limited to cutting vegetables, getting things in high places and taking things out of the oven). He won’t be checking up on you much for two reasons: he’s either with you or chatting with you (he’s clingy).
- He may at times come a bit overbearing, especially if you’re a very independent person who likes to do things on your own. If you don’t like it he will try to be subtle and tone it down but let’s be honest… Changbin isn’t exactly subtle.
- If somebody is making you uncomfortable this guy will wrap you in your arms and glare at the other, conveniently flexing and showing off his arms. He might be short but he will not let anyone make you uncomfortable… and his muscles certainly make up for his height.
- This man has good intentions and he just can’t stand the thought of you getting hurt. If you ever do get hurt, he will take it as a personal failure and he will try everything to make it up to you.
Lee “Know” Minho
Tumblr media
- He is protective when it comes to people but he will believe you can handle yourself in most cases (or unless you’ve proven otherwise). He won’t actively be protective towards you but he will take action if needed.
- If somebody makes you uncomfortable or hurts you he steps in right away, chasing the other away with his glare and menacing stance (or perhaps with one of his threatening questions). In his mind, he’s planning murder.
- He will keep an eye out for you, or check up on you regularly, but he won’t pry too much. He’s very observant so he’ll be quick to intervene the moment something is about to go wrong. He also makes a mental note of what to be wary of and whatnot.
- He’ll never get overbearing but he’s also got his eye on you (or at least his mind). Only case he might get a bit much is when somebody is threatening you. In that case he might start a fight with no regrets.
Kim Seungmin
Tumblr media
- Seungmin is like a dog. Only he will mock first. He is very attentive but tends to let you take care of it, while letting you know he’s there if you need him.
- However, if you get hurt (not because of someone) because of your clumsiness he’ll laugh and mock you slightly while helping you (unless it’s something big. If it’s an emergency or you're gravely injured he’ll hold off on laughing about it until you can both laugh).
- He will insult and make jabs at anyone who makes you uncomfortable and while he is (mostly) above violence, he will be savage with his words. That person will need therapy to recover whatever ego he had.
- Seungmin will be very mindful of your habits and he will take care of anything you’ve had a history of getting hurt while doing it. He will deny it if caught, however.
Lee Yongbok Felix
Tumblr media
- Felix is not very protective physically. Sure, he wants to be sure you’re taking care of yourself but his protectiveness is mostly psychological/emotional. He wants to be sure that you are happy and he is protective of that.
- He doesn’t worry much about your physical safety unless he sees your mood could put you at risk (you want to cut vegetables but have been careless all day ‘cause you’re worried). He will try to keep you happy all the time, though he understands everybody has bad days, for which he’s ready to stand by your side and comfort you however you want.
- The moment somebody makes you uncomfortable, he is by your side and his “deep-voice Felix aura” is on. He’ll turn from Sunshine to the Beast right away. He won’t confront the other much, except to call them out. His goal is to take you away (or chase the other away) and make sure to comfort you. If needed, though, he won’t hesitate to put his 63 taekwondo medals to good use.
- While he might not be protective, he likes to be of help so he will always ask if you need him to do anything and he will happily take on any chore, whether it is cooking or carrying the groceries.
Hwang Hyunjin
Tumblr media
- Hyunjin is incredibly in tune with his emotions and yours as well so he can be very attentive, especially to your emotional health. He isn’t very confrontational, though nothing and no one is safe from his die eye.
- He is still the leader of paboracha so he won’t be very careful himself. Of course, if needed he is always there for you but he doesn’t have that same care in protecting you. He trusts that you will let him know if you need him.
- He will be very dramatic though. Whether it is to fend off unpleasant people or to scorn the knife that cut you, this prince will do his best, even if just to make you laugh at his antics.
Han Jisung
Tumblr media
- This poor boy… he will try his best to be protective. But he’s a quokka. In all seriousness, this guy will try his best to keep an eye out for you but he just gets lost in his thoughts or staring at you so it’s usually your call that brings him back to reality.
- From a mental standpoint, however, he is personally on your case. He will be preparing self-care days and checking your mood almost every second. He can be a bit “paranoid” about it and overthink it, leading to him being overly protective due to misunderstandings but over time he gets the hang of it.
- If someone is bothering you he puts on his brave face and he’ll just lay all over you, trying to make the other understand who he’s messing with. His plan is either confront and call out in a friendly manner or make a run for it. He wants to avoid messy confrontations as much as possible.
- If it comes to it he will fight though. He has (some) training from living with Minho.
Yang "I.N" Jeongin
Tumblr media
- Jeongin is used to being coddled by the other members so he understands how that can get old pretty fast. He usually won’t interfere unless the situation calls for it or you ask him to. He doesn’t want to be too overbearing.
- He will chat with you often, checking up on how your day is going. Unless you let him know of anything off, or he notices that, he will let you do your thing.
- He is a klutz so he is very understanding if you accidentally get hurt. He’ll be by your side, worrying over you with tears in his eyes. He will probably feel very guilty if you get hurt without him noticing.
- If somebody is bothering you/hurts you, he gets very confrontational and snarky. He’ll show off his muscles and intimidate the other person until he leaves the two of you alone. Then he’s back to baby bread comforting you.

Han Seo-Jun Hcs💞
Tumblr media
Summary <3 : What happends if your dating the high school’s so-called ‘bad boy’?
If this man falls, he falls hard
Okay so starting off a week when you guys start dating is that he takes things rather slow like he doesn’t want to make you rush the relationship
At the first few weeks he is romantic, he buys you your favorite drinks before the first class starts, he always waits for you whenever you guys go to school (because whenever you see him riding his motorcycle you keep telling him to stop using it to school or tell him to be careful but majority of the time you just slide it off and let him be) and he always and I mean ALWAYS walks you home to school even if he’s tired, but if he’s busy then he’ll ask Cho-rong, he’s just worried about you yk?
Whenever you go to school, he would be constantly by your side (except the restroom ofc ew🤨) walking to school? beside you, talking with Soo-ah or Jukyung? beside you while scrolling to social media, lunch break? beside you while adding some of you favorite side dish from his plate and putting it to your plate, while on that topic, he’s next to you on lunch, someone tries to sit next to you? booped to the side, you remember that scene where he booped Soo-ah from the side after trying to sit next to Jukyung? yep just like that
He’s always trying to make your day, and he knows what your favorites are, you like a certain drink that’s not in the school cafeteria? he’s always buying it whenever he has the chance so that he could see the smile on your face whenever he gives it to you :))
He’s overprotective too, because you’re so beautiful that tons of voice actually ask you for your number, inside the school the other boys knows to back off but when you’re outside, it’s hard especially when you’re alone and  Sung-yon manages to notice you and immediately knows that your seojun’s s/o😭
His mom loves you a lot because you were able to make him smile🥹 and you are a really nice company and their house because technically you’re best friends with gowoon, she would tell you about the embarrassing things that seojun does!
(bonus if u can sing, you and gowoon always duet songs and challenge one another on who can hit the high note hsjdbd)
Tumblr media
‘might write part two tomorrow or so hshdbdhd😭’
ps. THIS TOOK ME A LONG TIME BCS I AM NEW IM SORRY IF ITS BAD😤 btw request box is open <333

Yo! I'm in love with your writing 😍 I hope you have a nice day
Btw can we get how all of the lookism men (and htf if it okay) would react dating/crushing on reader with big 3? (Huge tits, thick thighs and big ass). Please I'm begging you 😭🙏
lmao. semi-related: lookism hc - boobs, ass, thighs or...? Sorry anon, this is probably a lot less spicy than you were hoping, or maybe I'm too delulu with how gentlemanly some of these idiots are.
Lookism/HTF crushing on 'Big 3'
DGAF
Beauty is fine. But beauty fades and there needs to be something else there. You're never gonna turn their head with just a tight bod. They would notice something like your smile first, your wit and intelligence, your fighting prowess rather than your figure.
Zack Lee: Ride or die, loyal to a tee. Your body is just a tiny part of your overall package. In fact, feel free to lose your corporeal form. It doesn't make a difference to Zack, he will love you all the same.
DG/James Lee: He's one of the hottest, most sought after idols in South Korea. He has seen a lot of bodies. There needs to be something below the surface for his interest and attention to truly take hold.
Gun Park: Ok fine, but what can you actually do with that body? (Heh. Intepret that how you will...) If the body is just for show, then Gun is not going to be impressed. Follow it up with fighting skills and talent then this man is swooning. And also moves into the pure pest category.
Seong Taehoon: Classic friends to lover. As a friend he barely takes note of your figure. He's not blind. He knows you have a great body but this guy is a bit of a romantic, no matter how cringe he thinks that is. He'll be attracted to your personality traits, your loyalty, your kindness. Your body can be whatever. If he's fallen for you, then it's not going to make a huge difference to him.
+ Daniel Park, Jay Hong, Eli Jang, Warren Chae, Sinu Han, Xiaolong, Hudson Ahn, Kwak bros, Jason Yoon, Jerry Kwon, Baek Seongjun, Ji Yeonwoo, Seo Haesu
Doesn't even notice... at first.
"What do you mean 'huge tits, thicc thighs, big ass' on Y/N? Huh?" Once they notice, they cannot stop looking. Tries to go for a sneaky glance all the time. Puts up some pretence of being a gentleman but bro is too weak for the curves.
Jake Kim: Will absolutely notice the way your eyes light up first, how your smile warms his heart. Sure, sure. This man may play it cool(ish), but once he notices your body - it drives him wild. Finds it hard to concentrate with you around. Finds it even harder to concentrate without you around as his imagination runs wild. "Sorry Jerry, can you repeat that?"
Vasco Tabasco/Johan Seong: Thinks they are being subtle with their glances. They are not. Especially if you consider the way their face lights up bright red anytime they check you out. And if you catch them, then you can literally see them shrivel up and die before your eyes in real time.
+Jace Park, Lineman, Brad Lee, Han Wangguk, Kim Munseong
Pure pest
These guys will not keep their hands off you. Public decency be damned. The kind of bastard that will tell others to "GET A ROOM" even if they're the ones being completely inappropriate. Better keep a leash on them if you're not into being an exhibitionist.
Goo Kim: The body is a bonus. Nevertheless, it's a pretty big bonus. You will be spoiled to high heavens with clothing that this pervert likes to see you in. Figure skimming, curve hugging. Assuming you're comfortable with it. Don't be mistaken though, Goo likes seeing you in these clothes but he believes in dressing for yourself as much as for anyone else.
Samuel Seo: the most reserved out of these terrible four. He has appearances to keep up, and cares about propriety... to an extent. But will always keep a hand on your thigh or your ass. A way to claim what is his, if you will. Once he gets you on his own, his hands are roaming.

Atari Guide
Y'know, for a number of reasons, I can't call this post "done." But also I've had this all written since before the Lidelle summary so... eh. Let's just post it and I can make an expanded post later down the line
Tumblr media
Atari is an absolute disaster, in the best possible sense of the word.
General consensus puts her at the 18-20 age range. Her speech suggests someone fresh out of high school and lucky enough to land her dream career first try.
Said career being "spacetime detective." An encounter with one in her past (heavily implied to be Seo) inspired her to pursue that.
She seems to view detectives as heroes. They're the good guys that catch bad guys and help the civilians smile again by resolving their problems.
The cop dramas she watches probably have something to do with it.
In Japanese, "atari" means "tackle," "full force," "impact," "bullseye," "on-target," or "jackpot," depending on the context. Atari often takes advantage of that fact and puns accordingly.
These puns have more than once turned a self-introduction into a brief Who's On First sketch.
(God only knows how that's gonna be handled, if at all, should she ever have dialogue in a localized game.)
Matching with that tendency to make those kinds of puns, Atari is extremely eager and enthusiastic. When she decides on doing something, she'll go at it full-force.
(The downside to this is that once get gets her momentum, it's difficult to redirect her)
She's quite strong and athletic. Not on the scale of Rulue, but she can overcome whatever sort of gravitational pull a hole in space and time has, and can swim fast enough to match a shark.
Atari loves food. She has a ridiculous appetite and will start eating anything offered to her. And a lot of her thoughts tend to end up gravitating back to food sooner or later.
Her favorite is onigiri.
Atari is earnest, polite, and optimistic, but she's a bit of a space cadet. She tends to get details mixed up and act without planning or thinking.
Did I say she's a space cadet? I mean Atari is completely unhinged. Her untamed energy leads to her saying and/or doing things that are stupid yet hilarious.
Her verbal filter and volume control are highly questionable and her focus on the thoughts she gets is almost impossible to stop.
It's taken her a few reminders to not blurt anything out about knowing people she's met on different cases on different worlds.
Atari's gotten better at observation and deductive reasoning since she joined the STDA, even if she's still non-sequitur prone.
Appropriately enough, the more absurd the case, the better she is at solving it.
She's resourceful, and good at figuring out solutions to the immediate problem with the tools she has available.
She's pretty self-aware. Combined with her unchecked optimism, Atari is known to boast about her inability to perform a given task.
Her optimism isn't infalliable. Sometimes it borders on toxic in an especially bad situation.
Atari is easily impressed by the accomplishments of others, no matter how minor (or whether it was something she should have already been able to do). It drives her to push herself further.

Three is Fate: Part Two
Tumblr media
Plot: After a week of gym sessions with your new friend Changbin, he finally gains the courage to ask you on a date.
-Part One-
Pairing: Seo Changbin x Gn!Reader
Warnings: A brief kiss towards the end, but that's it!
-Meet Cute Series-
A/n: I decided to post his 2nd part today since it's Changbins birthday~
Words: 1.5k
Tumblr media
As you made your way to the gym, excitement radiated through you. You never thought anything would make you this excited to go to the gym, but ever since you met Changbin nothing's felt the same.
You had yet to find time to hang out outside of the gym, which you admit was disappointing. But, hanging out with him in the gym had its own merits.
You basically now had a personal trainer you don't have to pay, and had the added bonus of being able to watch him work out.
Walking into the gym, your eyes scanned the room before landing on Changbin. Your eyes moved to his bare arms as he lifted a weight, and you had to shake yourself from your thoughts before you approached.
Changbin spotted you in the mirror and a grin spread across his face. Turning, he met your eyes and waved at you, to which you replied with a bright smile of your own and a wave as you walked up to him.
His heart immedietely began fluttering as he ran through his pep talk again. He was going to ask you on a date this time, he was not going to chicken out again.
"Hey Changbin" You greeted cheerfully as you got up to him.
"Hey" He smiled in return, "You look like you've got a lot of energy today."
You nodded, "I feel like it too."
"Good" he chuckled softly.
"I'm gonna go lock up my stuff " You said with a small smile before you turned away with your duffel.
Changbin watched you walk away before letting out a soft sigh. "Today." He mumbled to himself as he tried to push away his nerves.
You let out a groan as you rose, "I hate planks"
Changbin chuckled as he watched you with a fond smile. He was proud of the progress you had made over the last week, and he was impressed by your self discipline and willingness to push yourself.
"You can do them a lot longer than the first time."
You smiled a bit shyly at this, before you turned to go grab your towel.
As you spun around, you just noticed another person striding past you. Just when you almost collided with them, you felt Changbin grab your arms and pull you back towards him. You spun around, and let out a small gasp as you bumped into his chest as he held you close to him.
You paused for a moment, processing what happened before you slowly looked up. Your eyes locked with Changbin's and you saw surprise fade from his face before he replaced it with a small smirk.
"Can't let you go running into other people. That's our thing."
Your face was blank for a second before a grin spread across it, you both let out soft laughs at his comment.
You felt your ears and neck growing hotter as he gently let you go, before rubbing his hands up and down your arm briefly, as if afraid he might have hurt you.
"I'll be more careful. Don't want you getting jealous." You teased and he giggled softly.
You grabbed your towel and let out a soft breath, your heart hammering in your chest. When you turned back around, rubbing your towel across your neck, you stopped as you saw Changbin staring at you.
"What?"
Changbin seemed to shake his head as he realized he was staring. He cleared his throat "I just remembered something."
"What's that?" You asked curiously as you walked back up to him.
"I keep wanting to ask you something, but, sort of keep chickening out."
"Oh?" You held your breath, as your heart continued to pound.
"Yeah." He rubbed his neck nervously.
"It's okay you can ask me."
Something in your tone told Changbin you knew what he wanted to ask, and the way you looked at him softly, as a soft smile just ghosted your lips gave him the confidence he had been lacking.
"Do you want to go on a date with me?"
Your stomach flipped as a jolt of excitement rushed over you. Your smile grew as you felt your whole body rise in temperature.
You nodded "Yes, I do."
Changbin felt as though a weight had been lifted off of him as he let out a breath. His own smile appeared as he let out a soft chuckle.
"Thank God." He said with a breathy sigh of relief.
You laughed at this and he chuckled at himself, "I really didn't want to make you uncomfortable."
You smiled and shook your head "You couldn't make me uncomfortable Changbin, you do the opposite really."
He looked down bashfully at his feet and you repressed a giggle at how cute he got when he was shy.
His eyes met yours again and he cleared his throat "I really do like you Y/n."
"And I really like you Changbin."
You grinned at each other, no longer aware of your surroundings as you got lost in each other and the excitement of your first date.
Tumblr media
Walking out onto the street, your eyes landed on Changbin immedietely as he waited outside of your apartment complex. When he spotted you, a bright smile formed on his face as he waved.
You grinned as you jogged over to the gate, "You weren't waiting long were you?"
He shook his head with a soft smile, "No." He lied.
He wouldn't tell you the truth. He thought it might be too embarrassing to tell you he was so excited and nervous that he ended up showing up almost twenty minutes early just to wait for you.
As you got to his car, he opened up the door for you.
You smiled "Thank you."
"So, what's the plan?" You asked as you climbed into the car.
He didn't reply until he got into the drivers seat, smiling over at you he smirked "It's a surprise."
You hummed as you eyed him as he chuckled softly before driving off. You watched the city pass by as you seemed to leave the busier part of town.
It wasn't long before he parked the car, as you grabbed the door handle he stopped you "Wait!"
You chucked as he got out of the car and ran around to your side to open the door for you.
As he pulled it open you grinned at him "Quite the gentlemen."
He shrugged proudly as he reached out his arm for you to take.
"I thought we'd go on a quick walk before dinner."
You looked up and saw a staircase leading up to a mountain view. You smiled and looked over at him and nodded happily. You were glad you were comfortable shoes.
Now staring out at the city view as the sun began to descend in the sky, you could feel Changbin glancing over at you every few seconds.
You smiled to yourself before you looked over at him, catching his eye "It's beautiful."
He nodded softly his eyes remaining on your face, "Yeah it is."
You felt your face warm up as you looked back out at the city. After a few more moments, Changbin cleared his throat making you look back over at him.
You felt him scoot a bit closer to you as he shyly met your gaze. His hand slid along the railing before gently meeting yours. He brushed his fingers against your own.
"I- don't know if this is too early, or a bit fast, if it is, tell me and I'll back off, but..."
Your heart was hammering in your chest as you swallowed. You noted the way his eye flicked quickly to your lips.
"Can I kiss you?" He almost whispered.
A soft smile ghosted your lips as you nodded softly "Yes." Your voice was just as quiet as his, but he heard it clearly.
Slowly, he leaned in and you tilted forward to meet him as your lips gently brushed before you both seemed to pause. His eyes locked onto yours for a second, before you closed your eyes. Changbin leaned in the rest of the way, pressing his lips softly against yours.
The kiss was gentle and only lasted a few moments before he pulled away. Your eyes opened again and met his, as a smile spread across your face. Changbin smiled as he let out a soft breath.
"You might get tired of me saying this, but I really like you."
You giggled softly "I'm not tired of it."
He chuckled "Good." Moving his hand, he gently wrapped it around your own. "Hungry?"
You nodded your head with a smile "Starving."
He grinned as he took your hand as the two of you made your way back down to the car. You shared quick looks and shy smiles, both of your hearts racing happily.
And now when you went to the gym, not only did you have your own attractive personal trainer, who you got to stare at as much as you wanted. He was now your boyfriend too.
xx End xx
Went into this without a plan, but I like how it came out. I hope you did too!

Master List 7/12/2024 -All Stray Kids Fics- R-RATED- 18+
Hello Everyone, My name is Jazz I am not the best at explaining, but long story short I have been writing fan fiction for almost 20 years now. I know that sounds old but chill. I started writing at fifteen and I am basically an Eighty year old woman. Guess I can't say chill after saying I'm eighty. whatever. I'm an Old ass fangirl who never grew out of fanfiction and my particular tastes boarder fluff and sensual love making fantasies and sometimes really mean ones.ԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ)ԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ)ԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ) I only use stray kids name and likeness in my fics, any creative scenario or fantasy is of my own mental property. meaning I'm bat shite〜( ̄▽ ̄〜)

I also became obsessed with mafia versions of SKZ, currently in the works I have another Mafia fic coming and almost all the hyung line of stray kids has a mafia fic coming.
Mafia Clan Ties ~Lee Know
-this one I am very proud of I feel like this one you really feel the depth with the characters. It was crazy cause Mafia minho's personality was just so obvious. I love him and can't wait to write more about him.
Water Nymphs & Witches Spells ~Felix
- a completely self indulgent fic where Lix is a water nymph who makes a deal with a witch to become human for a girl (this was heavily influenced by Lose my breath era Lix and the little mermaid concept. I was in love with it and I loved writing my own version of it😖 I also fell deeply in love with my Nymph Lix)

Supercharge Your Lead Generation with the S.O.L.D System Video Marketing Program
Tumblr media
I recently enrolled in the S.O.L.D System Video Marketing Lead-Gen Accelerator Program Digital membership area, and I'm thrilled to share my experience. As a business owner constantly seeking new ways to attract customers, I was drawn to the program's focus on leveraging video marketing for lead generation.
Unpacking the S.O.L.D. System:
The program lives up to its name – S.O.L.D. stands for Strategic Organic Leads on Demand. This immediately resonated with me, as organic leads are highly valuable and sustainable for long-term growth. The curriculum dives deep into the power of video content and provides a clear roadmap for creating videos that not only resonate with your audience but also convert them into leads.
From Script to Screen: A Step-by-Step Guide
The S.O.L.D System membership area is a treasure trove of valuable resources. It walks you through the entire video creation process, from brainstorming captivating video ideas to scripting, filming, and editing. I particularly appreciated the easy-to-follow modules that break down each stage into manageable steps.
No Video Editing Experience? No Problem!
One of my biggest concerns was the technical aspect of video creation. Thankfully, the program addresses this head-on. It offers practical tips for filming high-quality videos even with basic equipment, and there are even sections dedicated to popular editing platforms. What's more, the membership provides access to a wealth of templates and resources that can streamline the editing process significantly.
Beyond Creation: Distribution and Optimization
The program doesn't stop at video creation. It delves into the crucial aspects of video distribution and optimization. You'll learn effective strategies for promoting your videos across different platforms, including social media and YouTube. Additionally, the program sheds light on video SEO techniques to ensure your videos rank higher in search results, maximizing their reach and lead generation potential.
Results Speak Louder Than Words
Since implementing the strategies from the S.O.L.D System program, I've witnessed a noticeable uptick in website traffic and lead generation. My audience engagement with video content has also grown significantly. The program has empowered me to create compelling videos that not only showcase my brand but also effectively convert viewers into potential customers.
Bonus: A Supportive Community
Another fantastic aspect of the S.O.L.D System membership area is the access to a supportive online community. This platform allows you to connect with other program participants and industry professionals. It's a valuable space to share experiences, ask questions, and gain additional insights into video marketing strategies.
Tumblr media
Overall, the S.O.L.D System Video Marketing Lead-Gen Accelerator Program Digital membership area is an exceptional resource for businesses looking to leverage the power of video marketing for lead generation. It provides a comprehensive framework, actionable strategies, and a supportive community, making it an excellent investment for anyone serious about growing their business.

Talk Shop Tuesday: because you are a marketing girlie, eye would love your thoughts on the idea of fanfic marketability as it relates to popularity/traction. It’s one of those things that’s rarely ever gets put into words (except to be derogatory) and is undersold as a part of what makes a fic “take off” I’ve known plenty of fantastically written fics that never get their time to shine just as I’ve know abjectly terribly written things become the most kudos and recommended fic ever.
How much of marketing are /you/ thinking of, if you’re thinking of it at all, when it comes to publishing a fic?
(And bonus: what’s the reason you think your underrated WIPs aren’t doing as well as the others?)
Tumblr media
As the second person to ask me that, of course I can!!!!!
Fandom, as with any other community on the Internet, goes through trends of what they like to see and how they like to read. I'd argue that it's impossible to truly predict when a fic will 'take off' bc of this but there's definitely things you can assume.
The marketability of a fic rarely stops me from writing what i want (obviously there are exceptions), but its something i keep in mind when planning to ensure theres little hooks here or there. There's things that I know in the back of my mind, that I know almost for certain (for my writing and what's I've observed at least):
- kid fics will do well (or more low stakes, domestic fics)
- fast paced [blank] to lovers will do well vs. A slower burn (I could say this has smt to do with fear of fic abandonment and maybe attention span)
- MCD will not (at least in mcu petermj)
- platonic or character driven stuff can be a mixed bag
- etc.
Your fandom, your tropes, the bare bones of your fic (not the actual words just the vibes/direction) can definitely have an impact on reach and inevitable audience size - not forgetting that HOW ur fandom interacts with content should be considered. Example:
My Insomniac fics didn't get many hits bc it's a smaller audience (though i tend to find more of those hits also equal comments). From that, My Peter/Harry centric fic got more engagement and interaction VS. My peter/MJ centric fic - I knew this would happen when I was writing it BECAUSE the main thing talked about after the release of the second game was Parksborn. (Understandable I was also consumed by the brainrot)
Not to get SEO about it but tags and summary are also going to impact these things. Themes and tropes all have their own popularity innit. Your tags are there to give an overview (AND WARNING!!!) about the contents of your fic. Boiling all your plans down to the right tags will help it appear to the right people that WANT that kind of story, and exclude it from others. Your summary will also help with that (and from my experience main characters & romantic hook/tease is what gets most attention). This is probably where I consider marketability the most tbh and why I struggle so much with summaries bc why am I thinking of work when I'm writing fic???
But tags and summary definitely impacted Forever: there's a big tilt towards 'sadder' tags bc I want to be transparent about the topic. And the summary is very focused on Peter and Gwen (which is why I added the little line about MJ and Peter at the end).
The focus on Peter and Gwen also impacted the divorce AU. I didn't anticipate that fic getting as much traction as it did, but It wasn't until chapter 8 or something that it really began to take off.
Also. As with anything on the Internet. There's the 'right time, right place' effect where something just CLICKS, the perfect storm of a few small things that gets swept up to huge numbers and its difficult to pinpoint a single one.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: creating content for the sole purpose of marketability will make it less fun and kill your joy

Rinka Hayami rare pairs (And some random dynamics)
Well, I made about 200 screenshots of the rare pair generator to create random character dynamics, and I decided to select Hayami's rare pairs and talk about them
Tumblr media
The first one is my newest OTP (let's see how far this goes) IsoHaya💕💕💕💕
Well, before you tell me that they never interacted, the two are in the same class and Isogai is the representative, he already talked to everyone in that class at least once.
The reason I like them: they match, Hayami is a girl who appears cold and stoic, but is actually sweet, sensitive, tough and strong at the same time, although she doesn't know how to say "no" to people. in general. doesn't take bullshit from anyone. Isogai is the perfect ikemen leader of course and he is good at dealing with people and making everything work but sometimes he is too kind and understanding anyway the two balance each other in a certain way even though they are similar
Tumblr media
This looks like a crackship, but it might work.
I just like the idea of Okajima being genuinely in love with Hayami. This mostly came from other blogs.
Tumblr media
This case in point is a dynamic that can work as a shipp
I know Okuda is afraid of Hayami, but what about Hayami? In my head, she thinks Okuda is cute, smart, and would love to be friends with her. But every time Hayami tries to approach Okuda, the one with glasses gets nervous and runs away, this is not strange for Rinka, it has happened before, but this time she even smiled (a bit of a forced smile, but a smile).
Until one day Rinka discovers that Okuda is afraid of her and gets a little sad, but decides to ask why. Manami is very nervous about the question, but I think that once things are settled they can be friends.
Tumblr media
Don't ask me why, but to me they are good friends.
Imagine them talking about literature, or being the common sense of the group of friends, or the fact that they have similar vibes.
And for some reason, I think Hayami likes to study magical and spiritual things like incense and crystals, and while no one likes the exact same kind of magic they're interested in, I usually imagine them talking about it (with Chiba and Terasaka's gang, except for Itona scared to death in the background)
Tumblr media
For unknown reasons, I just love the idea of Maehara falling in love with Hayami and trying to win her over in every way possible, but in a subtle way, because after he just tried to approach her to flirt, she already said "no" with one of the coldest looks Hiroto has ever received in his life. That's something to explore... I just love the fact that Hayami has a certain contempt for perverts and that for some reason they really like her.
Tumblr media
One of my main Headcannons is that Gakushuu and Rinka have a sibling relationship.
And Gakushuu doesn't care whether or not Rinka is in Class E, he's still going to introduce her to his friends (after creating a proper school-wide excuse for Hayami being in 3-E, of course, he has to keep his image )
Well, Rinka already knew Araki and Ren from previous years, and Seo has similar characteristics to Itona, who she doesn't like, so I guess she wouldn't like him, but what about Koyama? For some reason I think they would get along and be good friends. Like he was giving Rinka physics advice and everything and she was showing him pictures of cats.
One day the 5 Virtuosos were going to meet to study at a cafeteria or restaurant, and only Natsuhiko was missing who said he would arrive a little later, and on the way they stop at a Café and find Koyama and Rinka talking and studying and in the middle of the conversation , they realize that the two call each other by their first names. (this would be after the middle of the school year)
bonus: Gakushuu would go into jealous brother mode after that and tell Rinka that Koyama had agreed to study with them, but if she needed help, Gakushuu would be there to help her study.

*Bonus Chapter*
[Sophia's POV]
The continuous beeping of the monitors filled my ears and kept me alert. Three more patients, hurt in a multi car crash arrived and I ushered the paramedics to where the available beds were. At that point I had lost track of time. It must've been close to 24 hours since I started my shift.
"Dr. Kim, what are we doing with those?" A nurse called from across the room.
"Get them to CT and if nothing shows up, discharge them."
The phone rang and a colloeague standing nearby answered.
"We're getting four more patients!"
"We don't have any more free beds, tell them we cant't treat them!"
"Aparently they're hurt badly and can't be taken anywhere else." My colleague said apologetically.
"Ok, fine! Check beds 3 and 4. They should be stable enough to be taken to their rooms."
My colleague nodded and went to work. In the meantime I checked on two more patients. I felt a headache coming on and told a nurse to get me some aspirin.
"Wouldn't it be better if you laid down for a bit? There are enough doctors here!"
Since I came back from Seoul, I threw myself into work, basically lived in the hospital. I had told myself it was because I was feeling bad about abandoning my colleagues in time of need. In actuality I just needed a distraction. Whenever I was alone in my apartment my thoughts kept going back to Jay.
Where was he?
Was he okay?
Did he know I was gone?
Did he miss me?
Try to contact me?
It had already been a year since I left and in those twelve long months I kept asking myself the same questions over and over again. Every single day. Yet I was scared of the answers, so living in denial worked out just fine for me.
"How long have you been here? Go rest!" The Chief ordered me and I reluctantly handed him my stethoscope and took the elevator up to the break rooms.
My phone in my coat pocket was vibrating for the fifth time in the last three hours. I successfully ignored it earlier since I was too busy but now nothing was keeping me from checking.
I buried my hand in my coat pocket, gripping the phone tightly. Carefully I took it out but didn't dare look at it. The vibrating had stopped and a number was displayed on the screen.
Five missed calls. From an unknown number. But I immediately recognized the country code. The calls were from South Korea.
'It might not be Jay!', I told myself. It could very well be Ho-Seok, Minsoo or Jun-Seo, who just wanted to check up on me.
"Who are you kidding?" I said out loud, making several nurses turn their heads in my direction. I smiled shyly and retreated to the break room, kicking the sneakers off my feet.
Trying to be brave and also trying to come to a close with my time in Seoul, I promised myself to pick up the next time that number called. Of course it didn't ring. After a quick nap I went back to the ER, checking up on the patients. Everything seemed under control and finally I allowed myself to be persuaded to go home.
A hot shower and a warm meal did wonders to my mood and so I blissfully fell asleep the minute my head hit the pillow.
It was only 4.30am when a rude noise startled me. I reached for my phone and found it buried under me. Squinting, I checked the number. It was the same one that had been calling me five times before. With trembling fingers I pressed the green button, my voice still hoarse from sleep.
"Hello?"
At first I heard nothing, then a person's breathing. Unsure of what to do, I waited until the person on the line spoke first. A sigh followed then the line went dead. I couldn't help but think that this was Jay.
It must've been him. He wanted to call, check in on me, but hesitated.
Mustering up the courage, I called the number back. At first it kept ringing and my hope that anyone would answer was small. But then the person on the other end answered. They didn't speak yet, all I could hear were faint noises in the background.
"Hello?" I repeated three, four times but no one answered.
I didn't want to get my hopes up but I was pretty sure who the anonymous caller was.
"Jay?" Even saying his name out loud hurt. It hurt like someone stabbed a dagger into my heart, twisted it and pulled it back out, leaving a gaping hole in my chest. "Is it you?"
A sigh, then the line went dead again. Filled with rage, I smashed the phone into the wall, breaking down, bawling me eyes out.
Continuous knocking on my door woke me up hours later. Light flooded the room and when I checked the time it was past noon.
"Shit!"
Sprinting down the stairs I called to the person banging on the door.
"Coming!"
I opened the door standing face to face with my neighbor, a lovely woman in her 50s. She looked concerned and pushed me aside, entering my apartment.
"Is everything okay?"
"Sure, Mrs. Baker! Why wouldn't it be?"
"I heard loud noises early in the morning but since it was so early I didn't want to wake up the whole floor. Then I went to the market and when I got back I noticed that your car was still here. Are you not working today?"
"I'm feeling a little under the weather."
"Don't worry, I'll bring over some chicken soup later, you'll feel a lot better after you had my famous chicken soup."
"Thank you, Mrs. Baker."
"Of course, dear! Do you want me to get you some medicine as well?"
"No, it's fine. I'll go myself. Breath in some fresh air."
"You do that, love."
Eventually I was able to get rid of her. I needed to call the hospital to let them know I wouldn't be coming in today. But first I needed to go buy a new phone, since mine laid smashed on my bedroom floor.
Putting on some leggings and a sweater, I grabbed my car keys and left my apartment. Armed with a new phone I called the hospital first. Then I tried the foreign number again.
After what felt like an eternity a female voice squeaked into the phone.
'Nuguseyo?'
I was flabbergasted. The last thing I expected was to hear a female voice. I wasn't a hundred percept but maybe ninety percent sure that this was Jay's phone.
"Oh, sorry. Wrong number." I quickly blabbed and hung up.
But was I really surprised? No. I didn't expect Jay to moon over me forever. Eventually he would be moving on. I just didn't expect it to hurt so bad.
[Jay's POV]
I stared into space, not registering the commotion around me. Choi Minsoo was cradling his newborn son in his arms, next to him his wife looked up at him, her eyes beaming with love and pride. Lim Dohyun was in deep conversation with his girlfriend. The two of them were inseparable. This was what Jinyoung had wanted all along. For his men to be happy. So why was I miserable?
"Boss- I mean, hyung!" Dohyun chuckled, calling after me, making everyone's heads turn in my direction.
I looked up to him and shook my head no. I knew what he wanted to ask me. He wanted to know if I called Sophia yet. And the answer was no. But that's not the only reason I shook my head. I didn't want him to say her name out loud. It hurt, thinking about her.
Choi Minsoo caught our little exchange and carefully placed his son into his wife's arms.
"Come with me!"
I had successfully uncovered Lee Sang-Woo's dirty deals with corrupt business men, police officers and prosecutors. He was arrested and sentenced to life in prison. My work was done. Going back to business felt wrong. After consulting with Minsoo, we both decided it was time to abandon this line of work. Dohyun and the rest immediately agreed as well and shortly after we closed down our business. I gathered all of our money and assets distributed them fairly among our family members. Some moved out, some stayed in the mansion, but all successfully moved on and made something out of themselves. That's really all I had hoped for.
'Now you can call Sophia!' Dohyun had said one night when we sat down to drink together.
He had just started dating and was unsure himself how his girlfriend would react when he told her about his past.
'Don't tell her then!' I had offered back then.
'I should. I want to!' Came his stern reply.
'Dohyun is right. Now you can call her!' Minsoo had exclaimed, joining our little get-together.
'You have no right to talk! It's your fault she's gone!' I had barked back at him, even though deep down I knew Minsoo did the right thing.
"Is everything okay with you?"
After dissolving our business I was no longer their boss. Even though some still called me that. Old habits die hard, I guess.
In my new role as hyung and dongsaeng, I found myself seeking Minsoo's advice a lot. He was older then me, and definitely wiser. After all, he managed to get married and have a baby in just a year.
"Sure. Why wouldn't it be?"
"Because you look like crap!"
I snorted, surprised by his level of candor.
"Why don't you call her?"
"I do. I did! Dammit, I'm calling her constantly."
"And?"
"I can't talk. I choke and hang up as soon as I hear her voice."
Minsoo's laughter was bouncing off the walls, resonating in the pit of my stomach.
"Jay, man, man up! She's waiting for your call! Don't leave her waiting too long."
"I don't even know what to say. I just- I miss her. So much!"
My eyes were glistening with tears. A year ago I wouldn't even have thought a conversation like this could take place between us.
"Then go to her!"
"I-"
"Nothing's keeping you here! Go and meet her!"
"What if she moved on?" This had been my biggest fear since I found out she had left Seoul.
"Then you will come back and move on as well."
Minsoo looked at me intently, saw how coflicted I was, and pushed me just enough so I would make a decision.
"I am going to Seattle. I am going to Sophia!"
"That's my boy! Go pack. I will get you on the next flight."
[Sophia's POV]
The wind was icy and the rain hailed down unapologetically. Searching for refuge, I entered the first store I saw.
Looking around, I recognized where I was. It was the store I ran into Jay for the first time. A feeling of sadness washed over me but I shoved it aside. He had definitely moved on. The woman answering his phone could very well be his girlfriend, hell, even his wife.
'I should move on as well', crossed my mind before the handsome barista took my order.
"Is that all?"
I nodded, smirking incredulously. Was he flirting with me?
"That'll be 7.40."
I handed him the money and pulled out a one dollar bill from my purse.
"Can I borrow your pen?"
He smiled and handed it to me, probable realizing what I was about to do. I scribbled my number onto the bill and gave it to him. "And that's for you!"
Beaming, he handed me my receipt and vowed to make good use of his 'gift'.
With a satisfied smile on my face I left the coffee shop shortly after. The rain had stopped and the clouds were breaking up, revealing a beautiful bright blue sky underneath.
I sat down in a nearby park, enjoying my coffee and soaking up the sun. It wasn't long before someone tapped me on the shoulder.
Fully expecting it to be the cute barista, I put on my most attractive smile and slowly turned around. First I saw a hand covered in tattoos and when I finally locked eyes with Jay, I dropped my coffee, the brown liquid soaking my boots.
[Jay's POV]
Now that I was back in Seattle I realized how stupid coming here was. What if Sophia moved away? I got cocky thinking I could find her again, because I had already found her once.
Naturally I was drawn to that coffee shop I first met her in. My chances were slim to nonexistent but I couldn't be thorough enough. I walked in and saw a small line. Since I wasn't in the mood for coffee I walked right back out. Something in the park across the street caught my eye. A woman was sitting alone on a bench, her head tilted back, facing the sun. She didn't remind me of Sophia but I had to make sure nonetheless.
Walking up to her I thought about how to approach her. What to say if it turned out to be stranger. I had a whole speech planned by the time I approached her, standing behind her. She just took a swig out of her to-go cup when I tapped her on the shoulder. Immediately she turned around but something in her movements made it appear as if she was moving in slow motion.
I didn't get to see her face right away, as wind was constantly blowing her dark brown hair in front of it. When she stood in front of me she gasped and I involuntarily mimicked her actions.
"Jay?" She barely whispered my name and had it not been for the moment of silence in traffic, I wouldn't have been able to hear her.
"Hi." I said in return, because that was the only thing I remembered.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice as shaky as her hands after she dropped her cup.
I heard her voice but I had zoned out. I was drinking in her beautiful face, her hair that was now longer and darker, her lips that trembled, her eyes glistening with tears.
I forced myself to speak, to say anything, while she stood there as beautiful as I had remembered her. The shock in her eyes disappeared and gave way to other, much more complex emotions. Her bottom lip kept trembling, and I didn't know whether it was from the cold or from seeing me. All I knew was that I had to do something.
I walked around the park bench, standing in front of her, blocking the sun so her eyes wouldn't tear up.
Is it really just the sun that's making them tear up?
As I stood inches away from her I could hear her irregular breathing, see how flustered her skin was. I realized that it wasn't the sun that had made her tear up after all.
"I missed you!" I said, grabbing her face and pulling it towards mine.
[Sophia's POV]
I had closed my eyes as soon as Jay grabbed my face. I was too emotional to look at him, instead I allowed myself to feel him. When his soft, plump lips touched mine, I gasped at the fact that a low whimper had escaped my lips along with a couple tears that simultaneously had escaped my eyes.
His voice was ringing in my ears, while his every touch sent electrical shock waves through my body.
'I missed you!'
Was this real? Or was I daydreaming? Had I finally gone completely mad?
If this was what losing the last shred of my sanity felt like then so be it!
"Jay..." I whispered into the kiss. Slowly, he pulled back but I hesitated to open my eyes.
What if he wasn't there anymore? What if this was all in my imagination?
But that couldn't be it! It all felt too real.
"Sophia?"
At the sound of him calling my name I teared my eyes open, staring directly into his.
"How? Wh-"
He smiled mischievously, pulling me closer to him for another kiss. He was right. I didn't know how he was suddenly standing in front of me or for how long he would be here. But it shouldn't matter. We shouldn't waste our time with words.
Grabbing his hand, we walked down the street to where I had parked my car. We got in and I immediately took off. No one said a word in those 25 minutes. That was 10 minutes more than it usually took me to get home because I got lost twice due to my brain not working properly.
He's here!
He's finally here!
What does this mean?
How long is he going to stay?
I pulled up on the driveway and killed the engine before Jay hopped out and quickly came round to my side. I thought he would get the door for me and sulked when I saw he was just standing there, waiting.
I got out and walked up to him. Without a warning he heaved me onto his lap, carrying me inside. My face was buried in the crook of his neck so I wouldn't have to look at the faces of my many neighbors.
I unlocked the door and Jay carried me inside, refusing to put me down.
"Bedroom. Where?" He asked out of breath but something told me my weight wasn't the reason.
I pointed to the bedroom and Jay stormed inside, finally letting me down. I blinked a few times, unable to form coherent sentences.
"Why are we here?" I finally blurted out. Jay had gotten rid of his thick jacket and I did the same, little beads of sweat covering both our faces.
"Because I missed you!" He said again as a matter of fact.
"But- but the- the-" I stuttered when Jay began to undress me.
"The woman!" I shrieked, jumping back, realizing I was already only in my underwear.
"Woman? What woman?"
"The one who answered your phone!" I said, an unfamiliar pain spreading in my chest.
"What wom- ah, her! That was Minsoo's wife."
"Minsoo's what?!"
"I promise you I will explain everything. In great detail. I just- right now all I want is you!"
"Why are you here?"
"To take you back home. Because that's where you belong. In our home!"
My heart threatened to jump out of my chest at Jay's words. Home. My home wasn't here. It was with him. My home was Jay!
"It's been a year!" I cried out while Jay, now only in his boxers himself, pulled me closer to him, caressing my face while his arm wrapped securely around my waist.
"I know, baby! It took me a while to figure out why I was unhappy."
"I love you!" I said, looking into his warm brown eyes. "I think I always did!"
"I love you, too, baby. So much!" His lips finally crashed into mine and slowly he walked towards the bed until he carefully lowered me onto the soft mattress.
"I will never let you go again!" He whispered in between kisses.
"You are my home!" I replied out of breath, before we both let go of all our inhibitions and allowed for our raw passion and love to take over.

Alright, let's get into this wild ride of financial planning from someone who's seen both the gutter and the penthouse...
The "Get Your Sh*t Together Finally" 7-Day Hustle Plan
Monday: "Rock Bottom's Got a Basement" Day
- Morning: List every penny you owe (yes, including that money you "borrowed" from your ex's purse in 2018)
- Afternoon: Set up a bank account that isn't your cousin's old one with your fake middle name
- Evening: Calculate how much you waste on energy drinks and gas station burritos
Pro-tip: Those strip club ATM fees could've bought you a decent index fund by now
Tuesday: "Your Past Self Was An Idiot" Financial Education Day
- Morning: Learn basic investing terms while questioning every life choice
- Afternoon: Set up a Robinhood account (because let's face it, Fidelity ain't ready for our brand of chaos)
- Evening: Study crypto basics, promise yourself you won't YOLO your rent money this time
Wednesday: "Legitimate Hustles Only" Day
- Morning: List your actual skills (being able to MacGyver a bong from a potato doesn't count)
- Afternoon: Set up painting/handyman profiles on TaskRabbit, Thumbtack
- Evening: Start a printing side gig (business cards for "entertainment venues" are always in demand)
Thursday: "Property Ain't Just Monopoly" Day
- Use that land acquisition experience:
- Morning: Research tax lien properties
- Afternoon: Scout neighborhoods that aren't "up and coming" but "down and definitely gonna bounce back"
- Evening: Calculate how many houses you could flip if you stopped "making it rain" every weekend
Friday: "Digital Pimp" Day (Keep It Legal)
- Morning: Set up social media for your services
- Afternoon: Create a website (no, not that kind of website)
- Evening: Learn SEO basics while questioning why you didn't do this sooner
Saturday: "Passive Income Ain't Passive" Day
- Morning: Start documenting your handyman hacks for YouTube
- Afternoon: Write an ebook: "From Strip Clubs to Stock Markets: A Reformed Degenerate's Guide"
- Evening: Set up print-on-demand store with your most questionable art pieces
Sunday: "Reality Check" Day
- Morning: Review all the ways you're still messing up
- Afternoon: Set actual achievable goals (becoming a billionaire by Tuesday isn't one)
- Evening: Plan next week's hustle while meal prepping with food that didn't come from a vending machine
Bonus Tips:
- Your car isn't an investment unless it's transporting paying customers
- That "system" you have for blackjack isn't working
- Yes, you do need to pay taxes on your side hustles
- No, your ex's OnlyFans subscription isn't a business expense
Remember: The goal is building wealth, not just having enough cash for VIP room bottle service. Time to turn those street smarts into market smarts.

The Ultimate Guide to Curtain Installation – Elevate Your Home with Style
Curtains are more than just a window covering; they add elegance, warmth, and character to any room. Whether you’re updating your living space or moving into a new home, installing curtains properly can make a significant difference in both aesthetics and functionality. In this guide, New Era Decors will walk you through the step-by-step process of installing curtains like a pro.
Step 1: Choose the Right Curtains
Before installation, it’s essential to select the right type of curtains for your space. Consider the following:
Fabric & Style: Light sheer curtains add an airy feel, while thick blackout curtains provide privacy and block sunlight.
Length & Width: Floor-length curtains offer a luxurious look, whereas café curtains work best for kitchens.
Color & Patterns: Neutral shades blend well with any décor, while bold colors or patterns create a statement.
Step 2: Gather Your Tools
For a smooth installation, you’ll need: ✅ Curtain rod ✅ Brackets & screws ✅ Measuring tape ✅ Level ✅ Drill ✅ Wall anchors (for drywall installation)
Step 3: Measure & Mark
Measure the width of your window and add extra inches on each side for a fuller look.
Mark where the curtain rod brackets will be placed, ideally 4-6 inches above the window frame to give an illusion of height.
Step 4: Install the Curtain Rod
Drill pilot holes for the brackets.
Secure the brackets using screws and wall anchors if necessary.
Place the curtain rod onto the brackets and ensure it’s level.
Step 5: Hang the Curtains
Slide your curtains onto the rod or attach them using rings.
Adjust the fabric to fall evenly, creating a polished look.
Bonus Tips for a Flawless Finish
✔ Use double rods for layering sheer and blackout curtains. ✔ Opt for extendable rods to adjust curtain width as needed. ✔ Consider motorized curtain rods for a modern touch.

Music Monday #256: Stray Kids - Chk Chk Boom release: July 2024 genre: Kpop, EDM/hiphop cw: Deadpool, Wolverine, guns, flashing
Yeah, I know, it's been awhile AND this isn't even the most recent comeback from Stray Kids, but it's my series and I do what I want, okay? Okay then....
And now I'm being reminded of why I kept putting off reviewing this song. It's excellent and I love it and it's a perfect example of Stray Kids ... meaning it's impossible to fit into a single box. Is it EDM? Very much so, complete with potentially annoying metallic burrs in the background. Is it hiphop? It certainly leans into having mostly rapped lines versus more traditional singing, but with enough from I.N and Seungmin to make it almost too much singing for stricter definitions (not that we let things like strict definitions stop us around here). Is it noise? Well, it's loud and unapologetic, so typical of Stray Kids, with lyrics that are a mix of ridiculous and tricksy word plays that seemingly speak more to Stray Kids' career than any sort of ongoing lore. Yes, I'm looking at you, Mr. I'm Strong Seo Changbin. XD
The video introduces the crossover we've all been waiting for since Kingdom: Legendary War and the formation of the unlikely friendship between Ryan Reynolds and Bang Chan. You can't go wrong with a Deadpool crossover (with bonus Wolverine). I can't remember now how much was shot on location and how much was done on green screen, but either way it looks impressive and very New York. As for the story and its place in Stray Kids' lore ... well, I'm still not sure I get what's going on here. Art vandalism that Stray Kids are somehow connected to - we see Han finishing one rectangle and it's implied he's done more of them, but with all of them being in the city together but the rectangles appearing all over the world... Considering Stray Kids have a couple different storylines running side by side and I'm not even sure which one this connects with... Which ever plot this is a part of, that plot is now set in the same universe as EXOPlanet, thanks to Ryan, and that's a fun little tidbit I'm not sure my writer brain actually needed.
At just barely two and a half minutes, Chk Chk Boom is both a completed thought and all too short, leaving the listener hungry for more. Which adds a twist of something almost like irony, given this is the A title for the album ATE. They released videos for three other tracks (MOUNTAINS, JJAM, and Stray Kids) (making 4 videos for an 8-track release), though at least one of those - Stray Kids - is very much not connected to any lore as that song and video both are all about Stray Kids as artists. I would love to say I'll feature even one of them here in the future, but it's questionable, so if this caught your interest, might want to look those up, too.
ATE is available now for streaming or purchase, along with subsequent album releases, GIANT (Japan) and HOP, meaning there's over a dozen videos that Stray Kids have put out since Chk Chk Boom, including yet another original Christmas song. I'm never getting caught up. XD
Want to see Music Monday deep dives more often? Sponsor a song selection! For the low, low price of one (1) KoFi, I'll write up the song of your choice. ANY song of your choice. Yes, even that one that's been played to death. Yes, your obscure faves too. With sponsors, I can stop skipping weeks and falling further and further behind in the releases! Sponsor a current CB for the next open Music Monday slot or sponsor a throwback for a Thursday feature! But seriously, if you've been enjoying my selections and analyses, we (me and the foster kittens) would love a KoFi in thanks. DW | Mastodon | Bluesky | Ko-fi | Patreon | Discord

5 Secrets of writing a killer press release
Press releases might sound old-school, but they’re still one of the best ways to get your brand noticed. Whether you’re announcing a new product, an event, or something exciting, a great press release can work wonders.
But how do you make it pop? Here are 5 secrets to writing one that stands out.
1. Nail the Headline
Your headline is the hook. It’s what’ll make someone stop scrolling and actually read. Keep it short, clear, and exciting. And hey, don’t forget to sprinkle in some SEO magic with a keyword or two.
2. Start Strong
The first line is your moment to shine. It should answer the basics: Who, What, When, Where, and Why. But don’t be boring—make it punchy!
Example: “Imagine never worrying about (problem) again. Today, (Brand Name) makes that possible with the launch of (Product Name).”
3. Tell a Story
Nobody wants to read a block of dry facts. Your press release should tell a story—what problem are you solving? Why should people care? Add quotes, stats, or real-world examples to make it relatable.
4. Make It Easy to Read
Journalists are busy, and most readers skim. Use short paragraphs, subheadings, and bullet points to break it up. Think bite-sized and skimmable.
Structure Cheat Sheet:
Headline
Subheadline (optional but nice)
Lead Paragraph (hook them!)
Body (details, quotes, stats)
About Us (aka your boilerplate)
Contact Info (don’t make them Google it!)
5. Think SEO
Your press release isn’t just for journalists. It’s also for the internet. Add keywords, hyperlinks, and optimize for mobile. But keep it natural—nobody likes keyword stuffing.
Bonus Tip: Let the Pros Handle It
Not everyone has the time to craft the perfect press release. That’s where Connect Publics comes in. We’ll write, optimize, and distribute your press release so it reaches all the right people.
Let us do the heavy lifting!
