I LIKE this, Thai BL, waaaay more than this, Japanese BL! City of Stars has a lot going on and is a far superior story than that of, Although I Love You, and You?

(And, that title! Is that just a bad translation?)

I feel that if they hadn’t made, Although I love you, and you?, there would be nothing lost.

I feel ridiculous for having hung in and watching it for THIS LONG, now I have to stick in there until the end, hoping there’s some validation for the creation of this series.

In City of Stars, although I wasn’t enthralled with the casting, at first, the stars ARE pretty decent actors, I think, and they carry off their roles well.

The series started off cute, funny, without many conflicts, and with some, clever writing, for the most part.

At episode 5, they’ve added a transgender woman as one, of the 3, main leads’ love interests (Namsom), and Feuang made the statement that Kor loves the person, it doesn’t matter what gender she is.

I love the subliminal messaging. At least it’s a series with some important opinions, while making their statements with finesse & humor.

There was a sign up, when Krom and Kor are at the mall, stating, “Women’s Feminine Hygiene Products Should be Free.” Something we’re fighting for here, especially for women in prison. Nice, little, subliminal, political touch—I LIKE it. As well as stating that transgender people are more accepted in their country, today! You, damn well, couldn’t say THAT, in America, today!!! Sadly!!!

CITY OF STARS may, well, be the best production, yet, from Star Hunter Entertainment.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

People will claim to be a fan of some thing and then hate all of the themes and motifs and story lines and plot lines and protagonists and antagonists like man I don’t think that you actually like it here

You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.

Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.
