MH: Celebrities [UPDATED] Part 1
It's been ages since I last posted something on this side blog, but I plan on doing a small refresh on character references later on (and continue the story by how Volume 2 goes down in the AU).
For now, I got a new list of confirmed celebrities in the MH World. Some are already existing in g1 and g3, and some are made up! This series is dedicated to any/all celebrities in the MH World that are parodies of real-life celebrities, so you won't find Casta Fierce or Catty Noir here. Also, I'm gonna avoid using celebs that are confirmed to be problematic (looking at you, Sharon Needles).
The following are already existing celebs that I'm adding to the AU:
Justin Biter - Justin Bieber
Jaundice Brothers - Jonas Brothers (names are still Kevin, Joe, and Nick!)
Scary Madsaw - Terry Bradshaw
Grim Brown - Jim Brown
Howlie Long - Howie Long
Yuksques Cousteau - Jacques Cousteau
Killten Scaratino - Quentin Tarantino (he didn't have a first name revealed in FCA, so I just made one up for him!)
Sofeara Gorepela - Sofia Coppola
Zomby Gaga - Lady Gaga (in the AU, ZG is also famous to humans but has a human persona like with Tash/Ari in g2)
Madison Fear - Madison Beer
Selena Gloomez - Selena Gomez
BooPaul - RuPaul (I already had this vision of this celeb in MH before her Skullector doll dropped! Some lore on BooPaul soon!)
Stephen Sting - Stephen King
Jenna Goretega - Jenna Ortega
And now for the ones I made up! More may be added in future parts!
Garrott Sander - Garrett Sander (I know the character Garrott was named after him, but I wanted to feature the official creator of MH in the AU!)
Shriek Bonetana - Shea Fontana
Grim Booton - Tim Burton
Jinkx Monster - Jinkx Monsoon
Mickill Jackson - Michael Jackson
Sugore and Sp-eyes - Sugar and Spice
Rob Maulsen - Rob Paulsen
Michael Creepton - Michael Keaton
Thomas Fangders - Thomas Sanders
Brandoom Clawgers - Brandon Rogers
Todd Hakerkorpse - Todd Haberkorn (yes, I'm doing a parody of Porter's VA because they deserve more recognition!)
Scara Strong - Tara Strong
Gaten Monsterazzo - Gaten Matarazzo
David Scarbour - David Harbour
David Tendril - David Tennant
Flesha - Kesha
Alex Biteman - Alex Brightman
Johnny Death - Johnny Depp
Hell Black - Mel Blanc
Debi Scarybury - Debi Derryberry
Adoom West - Adam West
Mandy Goore - Mandy Moore
Ghoulie Andbrews - Julie Andrews
Miia Scarris - Miia Harris
Ceci Balarot - Ceci Balagot
Kitty Scarry - Katy Perry (tempted to do the last name "Purry" but that's already a thing within her whole gig I think)
Skeleton John - Elton John
Alex Curse - Alex Hirsch
Margore Clawbie - Margot Robbie
Ryan Ghostling - Ryan Gosling
Scary Brews - Terry Crews
Bootrice Goyle - Latrice Royale
David Boowie - David Bowie
Dreaddie Mercury - Freddie Mercury
Werewolf Jackson - Wolf Jackson (I know he's a fictional character in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, but I just loved the character so much!)

Podcast Renamed: Unbreakable with Jay Glazer: A Mental WEALTH Podcast
It's not often that podcasts change names midstream, especially successful podcasts like this one. In this case, you have to applaud Jay Glazer. The name change -- just one letter -- makes a difference. Jay Glazer, national television personality and Fox NFL Insider, has announced that he’s rebranding his iHeartRadio podcast, “Unbreakable.” Effective immediately, “Unbreakable with Jay Glazer: A Mental Health Podcast” will be renamed “Unbreakable with Jay Glazer: A Mental WEALTH Podcast” to better reflect the uplifting message of the program. “When we launched the podcast, it was really important to give words to what many of us are experiencing with our mental health,” said Jay Glazer. “We led that charge, and after more than a year of conversations with leaders and champions in every field, we’re shifting to a focus on sharing personal stories of overcoming adversity, the tools people use to incur MENTAL WEALTH, and paths to success so we can help motivate, uplift and inspire even more people and help set them up to win.”
This week on “Unbreakable,” Glazer welcomes Pro Football Hall of Famer and San Francisco 49ers General Manager John Lynch for a two-part conversation following the team’s conference championship win against the Detroit Lions. In part one of their wide-ranging conversation, Lynch discusses the hardest part of his job; how his experience in the NFL influences his communication with players; and the importance of “huddling up” and bringing a team together.
Lynch also discussed his time playing for the Patriots and the Broncos; throwing the first ever pitch in Florida Marlins history; how Coach Bill Walsh convinced him to return to football; and living with World Series Champion Édgar Rentería early in his career. Listen the episode HERE.
“Unbreakable with Jay Glazer” was launched in September 2022, and has featured interviews with some of the biggest names in sports, entertainment and beyond, including Guy Fieri, Sean McVay, Michael Phelps, Lindsey Vonn, Josh Altman, Bret Michaels, Kenneth Cole, Terry Bradshaw, David Spade, Ed Mylett, Lewis Howes, Howie Long, Freddy Prinze Jr., and many others.
The podcast is an extension of Glazer’s widely-acclaimed, best-selling book “Unbreakable.” In each episode, Glazer shares his personal mental health journey with the audience, including the tools and techniques he’s developed to “live in the gray” – his term for living and thriving with anxiety, depression and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Welcoming mental health experts, athletes, coaches and others, Glazer and his special guests discuss tips for maintaining an unbreakable mindset and overcoming any obstacle to succeed despite living in the gray.
In case you're not a football fan, Jay Glazer is a TV personality and National Football League (NFL) insider for FOX Sports’award-winning NFL pregame studio show, “FOX NFL Sunday.” He was one of the first ever minute-by-minute breaking online news reporters in the NFL. In 2014, he co-founded the Unbreakable Performance Center, a private training facility frequented by celebrities including Wiz Khalifa, Chris Pratt, and Demi Lovato, as well as numerous NFL, NHL and MMA athletes. In January 2022, Glazer released a best-selling book entitled, “Unbreakable,” in which he offers honest, in-your-face advice and insights gleaned from his fight through depression and anxiety, his successful careers in NFL journalism and business, as well as his work with military vets struggling with PTSD. The result is a relentless, unapologetic, and no-nonsense approach to overcoming your self-doubts, fears, and excuses, with the goal of becoming “Unbreakable.” In 2015, Glazer and former U.S. Army Green Beret Nate Boyer founded the charitable organization MVP (Merging Vets and Players) to assist combat veterans and former professional athletes, who often faced a tough road adjusting to civilian life.
I've listened to the show, and its focus on mental health is commendable, and Glazer is sincere and honest about helping others. It's worth a listen, even if you're not a sports fan. New episodes are posted on Wednesdays, with frequent check-ins where Glazer updates listeners as he navigates the path to mental wellness.

Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk:
Fox viewers won’t see the Kansas City defense try to sack Aaron Rodgers on Sunday. Before the games began, however, Fox viewers got a chance to see a quartet of Hall of Famers verbally give him the business, from the Naval Academy in Annapolis.
Terry Bradshaw had the most pointed critique of Rodgers, who someday will join Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and Jimmy Johnson in Canton.
“I’ll give Aaron Rodgers some advice,” Bradshaw said. “It would have been nice if he had just come to the Naval Academy and learned how to be honest. Learned not to lie. Because that’s what you did, Aaron. You lied to everyone. I understand ‘immunized.’ What you were doing was taking stuff that would keep you from getting COVID-19. You got COVID-19. Ivermectin is a cattle dewormer. Sorry, folks, that’s what it is. We are a divided nation politically. We are a divided nation on the COVID-19, whether or not to take the vaccine. And unfortunately, we’ve got players that pretty much think only about themselves. And I’m extremely disappointed in the actions of Aaron Rodgers.”
(Bradshaw, by the way, stars in a new State Farm commericial that is scheduled to debut today. Rodgers and State Farm have a longstanding partnership.)
Michael Strahan, whose Fox platform is supplemented by a weekday seat at the Good Morning America table, chastised Rodgers for his verbal “workaround” by using the term “immunized.”
“In the grand scheme of things, it’s deceptive and it’s wrong,” Strahan said. “And the presentation that he did did not help.”
Strahan also pointed out that this was not an appropriate occasion to quote Martin Luther King, Jr., something Rodgers did on Friday to justify his refusal to comply with the mask rules for unvaccinated players.
Johnson said that he’s “disappointed” by the play on words, and by Rodgers’s “selfish actions.” Long focused on the public health risks that Rodgers created, along with jeopardizing the team’s chance to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff field.
The NFL on Fox crew ripped on Aaron Rodgers blatantly lying about his vaccination status, but Terry Bradshaw (a conservative GOPer) had the strongest denunciation of Rodgers's stupidity with this gem of a quote: "you lied to everyone."
Bradshaw also rightly called out ivermectin as "horse dewormer" that is NOT a proven COVID cure.

Dan Calabrese: The NFL’s Woke Broadcasts Aren’t About Stopping Violence
With great self-righteousness and unmistakable sanctimony, the Fox NFL crew warned us about what we should expect if we attempt to watch the pre-game show on Sundays this season. I think I will continue watching NFL Network before the games. Curt Menefee, Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw informed us that it is their duty –…

This evening, James Brown, 67, will host the Super Bowl pregame show for the ninth time, between his current employer, CBS, and his former employer, Fox. For years he has served as the buttoned-up straight man on fall Sundays — on Fox he was opposite Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long; at CBS, it’s Boomer Esiason and Bill Cowher. He’s one of the most ubiquitous presences in sports television — he’s hosted the Super Bowl pregame show more than anyone other than Brent Musburger — and also one of its longest tenured. Read more of our profile of Brown by clicking the link in our bio. (Photo by Astrid Riecken For The Washington Post) http://bit.ly/2UD2BAG
