dude. literally every relationship i have rn seems so surface-level.

the friends i had last sem, we're just falling apart and more than falling apart its like I've been just legit separated from them (lets call the T, A and S). and the other two friends I have rn are nice but then it all just feels so obligatory because one of them (lets call her R) was also a part of the group I was in earlier but now it feels like we're friends because we arent that close to anyone else and if she did find someone else she'd also just move on. and the other friend (lets call her D) I have I feel like she's friends with me only because of R and we wouldn't even be talking if it weren't for her because shes got her own group of people she talks to. and the thing with R and D is that they're like the social butterflies so its like are they talking to me because they actually want to or is it just the social butterfly-ness of them that they are just good with talking to anyone.

man i cant wait for this semester to get over so that I can go home..

our college has like an exchange program with another college in sweden and the academic fees are almost the same but the food and hostel fees might be a little more.. i'd love to be able to go there because honestly I would very much thrive with a change in environment, this whole place just feels so lonely I literally cant go through the day without feeling like crying my heart out.

on one hand im sad about the fact that I've drifted apart from T,A and S but on the other hand I also feel like hanging out with them wasn't good for my mental health either.. like I felt like I had to always keep up appearances and just try to appeal to them and what they'd want to do and it was getting tiring. and the times when i did end up doing things on my own they just got mad and it felt really unfair now that i think about it.

hHhHhHHHh i am not used to being in one place for so long... usually we just moved every year or every other year but this 5 year course seems like so much. my brain is literally like okay the relationships here have all gone to shit, cool, when are we getting away from this whole place and then I have the painful realisation that three more years of this bs are left and hhHHh man I just want to go home. i am so fucking done with this.

i thought academics would be the only stressor in my life but turns out that life had other plans and those were not gonna be stress-free :'D

Peter

Crewmate: Peter is that crewmate that will 100% call you out on your bs, because he knows the game a little too well for you to be able to pull anything over him(because of all that free time waiting on patrol). You think all that stuff with the avengers didn't teach him strategy? Ha! This guy is PEAK detective. Gets his tasks done fast and when he's done is probably spending his time monitoring people on security or vitals. It only took him like 2 weeks to memorize all the maps and where everything is, so if you say you were in navigation, you better believe he's gonna ask you what task you were doing there. And if you don't answer to his liking, Peter will sound the "sus" alarm on you in two point five seconds and have everyone voting you out. He's probably the only person that could figure out MJ when she's the impostor. So if you're the impostor, watch your words and make sure your alibis are strong cuz little Petey ain't playin' no games. Definitely gets attacked from time to time by those people that are always like "sMaRt PpL rUiN tHe GaMe"

Impostor: He's pretty much the most average impostor. Sometimes he doesn't know what to say when people call him sus and he'll get voted out because he's being "too quiet" or because Ned keeps defending him. He'll mess up every now and then but for the most part, he's pretty decent. His style is usually to stay in the vents most of the game and kill when only one person's around. He probably bribes Ned to not rat him out by promising him that he won't kill him.

Name: It used to be just Peter, but soon he wanted an actual cool name so he chose Sherlock because of all the times when he was "too smart" and won the game too quickly and people would go "pack it up Sherlock" and vote him out.

Favorite color to be: It used to be red, but he quickly found that the more he was red the more people found him "sus" so now he's usually either blue or cyan

Ned

Crewmate: Pretty average crewmate. 80% of the time is covering for Peter, even if Peter is the impostor. Won't do much calling people out unless he's absolutely sure that he saw a kill or vent. Pretty chill and easily persuadable. You'd definitely want him on your team. If he ever gets wrongfully ejected he's the one that pitifully tries to plead his case saying stuff like "what???" and "guys it's not me!!!!" which doesn't really convince anyone and just makes him look more guilty. He'll still do his tasks after though.

Impostor: He's the impostor that doesn't want to be the impostor. If you're texting then maybe he can hold his own, but if you're doing voice chats, there's no way this guy is getting past ANYONE. He has so many tells that it's ridiculous. Is actually scared to vent too much because he's always paranoid that someone's gonna be right there when he jumps out. 8/10 the crewmates win when he's the imposter because he'll just kill like only two people the entire time or gets caught really early on.

Name: Probably some sci-fi reference like r2d2 or Potter

Favorite color to be: Yellow or white because he says those are the most "innocent" colors and he'll be less likely to get voted if he's those (not true but we'll let him believe it)

MJ

Crewmate: Suspicion times 100. Her motto: trust no one. Will get you kicked out in a heartbeat with a quick "trust me. if it's not them vote me next." An absolute unit but will never be caught getting emotional over a game. If she's ever wrongfully ejected her last words will be "whatever. go ahead. vote me and lose." She'll just come back in the next game with a vengeance and false accusations ready, not caring if the entire team loses because of it. She's especially dangerous to have because people usually trust her word. She always finds a way to seem the least suspicious. Though sometimes she'll get suspected because of her quiet nature. There's always that one guy that's ready to go "uR qUiEt ThAt'S sUs!!"

Impostor: If MJ is the impostor, you can just throw your whole phone away. You're not winning that game. Like, ever. She will do whatever it takes to win, even sell out her own her partner. On the off chance that you catch her being suspicious, she'll sabotage a bunch of things so that you can't call meetings and then she'll kill you when no one's around. She is ruthless and will hurt your feelings with the way that she will own everyone in the game. Hardly anyone ever expects her. Thrives on venting. You won't see her you'll just be doing a task and suddenly you'll be dead.

Name: Used to be just MJ but she got annoyed with all the people in the messages who always assumed she meant Michael Jackson or Michael Jordan so she changed it to Michelle

Favorite color to be: She literally doesn't care either way. Won't change the gameplay so why bother? Whatever color she ends up with she'll be fine.

Betty

Crewmate & Impostor: The most average player of them all. She wins some, she loses some. Nice partner to have though, because she'll never give you away. Probably the first to die most times. If she ever gets wrongfully ejected she's the one that uses her last words to say who she thinks it and doesn't even try to plead her case once it starts to look bad for her. She just finished the rest of her tasks.

Name: Probably either her name or some nickname or inside joke. Idk she just seems like the type of person to have a reference to something that absolutely nobody knows

Favorite color to be: Pink. Just because she likes pink.

Flash

Crewmate: Claims things are sus even if they aren't. Will totally be biased based on names. Anybody who knows him will never count him as a credible source. Gets voted out quickly alot because of how annoying he is in the game.

Impostor: He's the easiest to figure out. He's the impostor that obnoxiously accuses literally everyone else. And in all capital letters too. "ITS RED I STG. IF IT'S NOT HIM VOTE ME NEXT!" Calls everyone sus and always claims he's seen people running from the body. He usually self-reports and goes for the easy marks in electrical. He's not that good (even though he thinks he is) and it takes anyone with a brain to figure him out. Peter and MJ are bane of his existence in that game. If he gets wrongfully ejected he'll rage and probably leave the game like the little crybaby he is.

Name: Spideys#1 because he's really just THAT obsessed. Or when he's really feeling "teenage boy" he'll be cOchieman

Favorite color to be: Red because sPiDeRmAn'S hIs BeSt FrIeNd (ahahaha if only he knew)

She didn't know this game at all until Peter introduced her to it one day because he was bored. She LOVED it. He had to pry it out of her hands after she kept repeating "Hold on, one more!" So she downloaded on her phone and now she plays it whenever she's bored.

Crewmate: Average. Same as Betty.

Impostor: The way May can actually dominate being the impostor is sort of scary. And she'd always be the last person you'd expect because she just has that trusting vibe about her. Sometimes she'll mess up and give herself away, but for the most part, she's pretty good. Doesn't vent much. Just like Ned, she doesn't trust it.

Best Imposter Combos

Peter & Ned: Goes without saying. Nine times out of ten they're in the same room while playing this so they can just talk strategy to each other and take everyone out really quickly. Really annoying for everybody else, but they'll win so they're happy.

MJ & Peter: These two together are a force to be reckoned with. The second they see that they're both impostors they call each other up and get to business like they're on a mission. This stuff is serious. (More for Peter than MJ. She has to keep telling him that it's just a game.) He stays on security stuff, telling her when it's safe, and she racks up the kills. When things get heavy, they sabotage and then go on a spree. These two hardly ever lose. (When the whole squad is together whoever's in charge [if it's not Pete or MJ] usually puts the kill cooldown at max just in case these two get that they can't be at full power)

MJ & Betty: Betty isn't afraid to sacrifice herself so that they'll win and MJ is ruthless and quick with her kills. Both have the smarts to be able to be extremely persuasive and you'd hate for them to pick you to frame. Because being put against those two in the chatroom will lead you nowhere but abyss of space.

Let's talk about Eric Effiong

Let's be honest Eric's storyline and characterization is one of the most appealing out of all the characters in Sex Education periodt. A true gay, fierce, Drag QUEEN and I feel like ranting about this amazing force of nature. (Spoilers. Duh.)

When I saw the trailer for Sex Education it didnt even hit me that Eric was gay until I read the synopsis. Was just like "Oh I wonder which one of these three mains are the gay one people keep talking about" even after I saw him in drag like a dumbass 😣😂. Personally im glad we've reached a point where gay guys aren't overly feminine and even the brightest colours won't differ a character from the rest (unless I'm just a blind bish and he was obviously gay from the trailer) ei 👏🏾 ther 👏🏾 way; his character was refreshing when I started watching the show. I immediately clicked with him and knew what every look he gave or hand gesture he did meant. Felt nice. When Adam pushed him into the locker for the first time and started with the heterohomoerotic bs I knew that Adam had a raging boner for Eric and was another internalized homophobic bully™ and wasn't really excited for what was to come but I knew it was coming and tbh I liked it in the end.

Eric and Otis' friendship is so pure. Like?!? Get me a straight supportive bestie lilke Otis? Ik they fought but even then Otis was respectful and kept his boundaries and let Eric go through the motions before immediately belting into an apology at the first chance he got. Their dancing scene?!? Iconic. The fact that Eric sees Otis' house as safe and another home?!? Iconic. Otis going drag with Eric to watch an LGBT+ movie as a TRADITION (meaning they've done it numerous times)?!?! Iconic. The fact that Otis was straight up ditching Eric and Eric STILL tolerated him and let him do his thing without too much pressure!?! The most iconic of them all. Just pure love and respect all around.

I am so proud of Erics growth over the course of the season starting from a naive and scared gay doormat to facing homophia and getting beat up by those assholes on his birthday no less to losing his best friend and becoming depressed to channeling that anger into defending himself when people tried him to getting his sparkle back and coming back more fierce that ever before.

Speaking of him getting his sparkle back lets talk about that and why that scene is so important. A random guy asked Eric for directions and Eric noticed his nails were polished and the guy was wearing earrings and he was a big ole black dude. He was like Eric. When Eric noticed that the guy was out, loud, glamorous and proud he immediately switched back into the bright colourful and wonderfully gay Eric we all know and love.

THIS IS WHY REPRESENTATION MATTERS!!!!

It shows people that its okay to be who they actually are and inspires those who are lost to find or return to their true selves. Representation isn't just some offhand thing to throw on a character last minute. And even if you can relate to other characters who arent like you, it is always an amazing feeling to have a character that IS like you. It turned Eric from a popularity seeking doormat into a hurricane with 6 inch heels who was ready to straight up beat down a bully he's had for 4 years. It even inspired him to go back to church and rejoin a community that he closed off. That's exactly how it feels to have someone successful in the media and your life to look up to. Eric only interacted with that man for a few minutes but those few minutes changed his life for the better. So that's a lovely reminder for all who love to bash representation.

Back tracking to Eric's dull colourless period after the attack and his fight with Otis. It was saddening to see one of the brightest characters go dull and even the school felt it. He turned from a guy who rarely stood up for himself and what he wanted into the sass master he reserved only for his friends. All of his built up anger was released causing him to explode on Mr Hendricks (who is adorable tbh and just trying to do his best) and Anwar (I was proud of that punch you go glenn co co) and he even sounded off on his dad who he's usually passive aggressive to at worst. Just goes to show that the happiest faces can harbor the biggest pains and can snap. Moral of the story? Protect the happy few.

Eric also has a great family. Like that obviously know Erics gay and wears dresses because its all right there in his room which his parents enter at their leisure and while it seems that they're a bit homophobic its revealed that they (Erics dad at least) just wants Eric to be safe as he's already a target for being black and apart of an immigant family. He accepts Eric for who he is and what he does he just doesnt want anyone else to give him shit for it and if that's not one of the sweetest things in this world idek what is. Eric and his dad was probably one of my favorite dynamics in the show and watching his dad slowly fully accept that his son was strong and able to stand for himself he was able to become stronger too. This dynamic is important because I never see any gay black characters have a close relationship with their fathers and it was very heartwarming to watch.

Now onto Erics love life. He has a crush on the highschools other only gay guy Anwar who's the typical mean sassy gay we've all come to expect in highschool dramas. Otis saying that Eric doesnt have to have a crush on the only other openly gay guy at school was such a mood as its commonly shown that any gays in close proximity should get together. When Eric punched him I internally went "Finally!" Because all those jeers were becoming annoying. I'm glad Anwar got to come out to his mum over it though. And straight up told the audience that Eric didn't like feminine guys (alluding to him and Adams eventual clean up scene as of we didn't see it coming already).

Moving on to Adam tho, like I said we all been knew that this

was indeed coming and even though I hate the bully x bullied trope I still ended up liking it and hoping that Adam would change. The building up to that kiss was long awaited from episode 1 straight through to 8 with all the longing looks that Adam kept side glancing Eric with and the face cupping and the growls and the lingering touches. I just kept going sthdjksksbslaldbd when one of those moments happened followed shortly after with disgust because gays falling for their abuser is washed up but then immediately going back to jajaklamabsldkd because im shipping trash so 🤷🏿. Eric stepping to Adam in at the ball was one of the most iconic scenes of the show (along with the "Its My Vagina" scene) and the exchange between him and Adam gave be actual chills. The tension was THICCCC. Erics OUTFIT to the ball gave me chills 😭😭 dude came to slay and had everyone at that school proper shook and I honestly could NOT be more proud. I was hoping Adam would become a better person over the course of the season but nope so hopefully they cover all the issues that Adam has in season 2 and properly give him a redeption arc cuz he's still a trashy pos he's just a disaster bi on top of it. (Adam immediately going to suck Eric off is confidence I can only dream of achieving 💀💀) The lab scene was also cute but made me mad because how could Adam look scared, confident and still be a douchebag all in the span of a few seconds was beyond me. A+ acting on Connor Swindells part. I can see why Adam would have to stay in the closet and keep their... relationship?? a secret because it seems like Headmaster Groff would be a homophobic piece of shit and would add to the ever growing list of things Adam did wrong. Even so it doesn't excuse the fact that Adam is in fact a bully and Eric deserves much better. Was sad seeing Adam being driven off from Eric in the end tho. Eric thought that Adam didn't want to see him at all and was probably heartbroken and probably thinks Adam left because of him (my poor baby 😭😭). I feel bad for Adam too because he was just starting to express himself and was at the beginning of a redemption arc when he was just wisked away from the boy he's loved for what seems to be a very long time. I just want my boys to be happy and non toxic and I wish their relationship and them all the best in Season 2.

Eric Effiong is my favorite character in the show and I really want to thank Ncuti Gatwa for portraying him so well and for the shows writers who gave him a very fleshed out character with an amazing storyline and conclusion. His growth was incredible and his strength is immeasurable. I'm 100% certain that he will be a character the community remembers for years to come. Patiently now waiting on what's to come in Season 2 💙🙌🏾.

-I was new to the group and if I remember it right, we are on all on our way home coming from Tiendesitas (Don Moen Concert?). Di pa uso Waze noon and I needed help with road directions. While we were on a convoy, I had a hard time keeping up. She was a very fast driver! I tried my best to stay close and there was a time when I was successful in staying next to her tail. However, I was not familiar with the width of a particular street. When she swifty changed lane, I was not able to shift immediately and was surprised to see an island a few meters away!  I had the shock of my life! God is good to have provided good brakes and no car was closely behind me. Whew!

With all the years and time I have spent with Gaylene, I can mention so many of my memorable moments with her.  She just makes her mark with people the moment one gets to know her deeply.  If I am to choose, it will be the intimate times of conversation I have with her every time she drives me home including the time we will stop na sa NHA or Jollibee (where she drops me off) because di pa kami tapos magusap.  We have those short heart to heart convos pag lahat naihatid na and it's just me, her and Wenn.  Her sincerity I can feel from the look in her eyes kapag nakarating na kami and we would still have our moment of bonding (usually just to catch up).  There were also a few times we talked over the phone and it's usually long conversations, and usually when she has a problem with Jerry that she'd like to unload.  She's very honest and open when she talks about her frailties, her fears, her agonies, and burdens.  But after that long talk, like an obedient disciple, she'll accept her shortcomings and would promise to try working on some of the godly advice given to her.  During those times, kahit matagal kami hindi nagusap, we easily connect like real sisters.  And I cherish those moments with Gaylene.

F/E/5 Thoughts

In short, FE5 is the oldest game that's the most playable. And it's extremely fun despite its age and bs mechanics. To the point where I'd recommend it to newer players with a minimal spoiler guide.

Having played it first back when the best translation patch was literally unfinished and with gibberish menus, the new patch is so wonderful and it comes with great quality of life changes. Like, you can actually fucking change the position of your units and look at the godamn map! Plus you can see growth rates and how they're affected by scrolls. And speaking of scrolls, the ability to fiddle with a unit's growth rates is so fun.

In terms of actual gameplay, the capture mechanic is such a fun mechanic of seeing broken stuff the enemy does, and getting to steal so that way you can use them against the enemy. The fact that you can steal several silence, sleep, and berserk staves makes it so that you can just use them as you please for the most part. And that's even mentioning all the rescue, warp, and rewarp staves you can get to further open up your options. And this all helps to create a meta where staves are the best weapons in the game and I love it since it helps fe5 play differently compared to other games where you just equip a javelin/hand axe and place a unit in front of a bunch of enemies.

All the staff units are a blast to use and I'm glad cause I always use a lot of magic units in basically every game. Though the magic system is pretty bad in Thracia since anima is split into a triangle and each branch of magic basically only has 2 or 3 tomes to use which sucks. And all it is is a basic tome per element at the lowest rank and then a siege tome at the highest rank, which is pretty lame since it is a downgrade from Genealogy which is the opposite of all other weapon types.

Dismounting is so annoying to deal with but it's actually a bit fun trying to play around that and it is a nice way to try and reel in cavs+flyers from being absolutely broken like every other Fe game. Especially since they're forced to dismount indoor maps and get reduced stats and forced to use swords which they can't use mounted, for most cases.

Despite all this, Thracia is still just such an unforgiving game and most of it is just due to the bullshit the game throws at you. Which makes it so unfair for new players, but on a second playthrough, Thracia was such a fun experience and I'd definitely recommend it to others. Especially since like Thracia enemies aren't too threatening, it's more so the stuff the game tries to pull on you.

In terms of story, it's definitely not as much of a revisioning of fe4 that people make it out to be and it's fun to see events from fe4 play out in fe5. The final boss is definitely a let down and kind of just a random thing they threw in to remind us "loptyr church bad!" But the final map is incredibly fun since your team is split into six groups lol. The story does a much better job of making you feel like gen 2 of Jugdral is an awful time. Especially as a byproduct of Lief not being able to use a holy weapon and that he's effectively just a normal dude in comparison to others but despite that, still fights on and inspires others. Which is a common theme with a lot of Thracia's recruitable cast since basically no one has holy blood, and the one unit that does absolutely breaks the game when you get him lmao. Though I’m a contrarian because I never recruit him in favor of a much worse character. And during the route split where you can recruit like 3 great units, I go the other route to get 3 mediocre ones cause I like them much more.

Thracia feels like it probably would be a nightmare to figure out without a guide, but you are given the option to succeed and later on you can throw the bullshit right back at the game and succeed very well for it. So it’s a fun experience that no other fe game quite replicates in where having a bunch of staff units is a great thing.

Also screenshots of scroll abused characters I enjoy lol. Like, I genuinely love Mir/an/da and I'm glad she was added to feh. And I unironically enjoy Hicks and it was so fucking mean that he got last in cyl2
