I want to interact with your asu blog but idk what a face claim is or what a starter is and how its different from other questions? Thank you for any pointers!

No problem! I'll give you the roleplay blog 101~ this is going to get long, sorry.

One thing I want to say before I get going is Anyone can send asks Anytime to that blog! I LOVE asks lol.

First I'll explain what a faceclaim is for you! A faceclaim is a character that looks like your muse (the character or OC you're roleplaying) so you can use little pictures of them (called icons) in posts instead of have to draw out your OC. Canon characters have it easy, they don't have to spend forever finding a faceclaim *eyeroll emoji*

Next is a starter! A starter is a post written to start a roleplay. It can be anywhere from a sentence to multiple paragraphs long!

Rules are very important to tumblr roleplayers! almost every tumblr rp blog i've seen has some guidelines for interactions!

Some general RP rules that the majority of the community agrees on are:

- don't rb roleplays you're not a part of

- don't rb headcanon posts without permission

- always read rules, if they exist, before following!

Some terms used in my rules:

Godmodding: Controlling your character without your consent. (say you write "Asu punched X character" and I didn't give the go-ahead) Also somewhat applies to auto-hitting

Reblog karma is if I rb an ask meme, and you reblog it from me and i practice reblog karma, you'd have to send something from the ask meme or i'd be mad at you. I don't practice it, so anyone can reblog any ask memes from me without worry.

My last rule (I don't interact with blogs that don't have rules/abouts) Is SUPER lenient. I DO Interact with blogs without either, I'm just cautious about it. I need to fix that rule to explain that better, but I haven't gotten around to it.

I’ve been in the roleplay community here on tumblr for like 4 years now so *finger guns* I know way too much abt the intricasies of rping on tumblr. things are much simpler on other sites lol
