List of how well each of my fav characters take care of their body and how clean they are because I've lost track of my life

Stranger (canon)

Stranger's body is naturally clean. His skin isn't technically physical, and therefore, dirt seems to evade him. When he does bathe, which is frequently, he temporarily sparkles and his hair turns just a tad fluffier. Smells of charcoal and a vague pleasant sweetness that may be associated with chocolate.

Omori (canon)

While he doesn't put much effort into hygiene and dislikes bathing, Omori is relatively clean. He doesn't sweat much. He doesn't smell, but his hair is very greasy. When he does bathe (when Stranger makes him), he's rather fresh, but his scalp grease takes over real fast.

Rowan

Uses more beauty and cleaning products in the shower than he has fingers to count them on. He will do anything to come out of the shower clean and proper and takes exceptional care to groom his body well, and then ruins it all by spraying on Axe body spray, and that costs him a perfect score.

Omori (Stray)

He doesn't know when he last showered. If you ask him how many weeks it's been, he'll grumble something about not being sure and to fuck off. He needs to be pressure washed, he needs a shave, he needs vitamin pills, he needs Rowan to come over and beat his ass for being filthy and run him a bath. Do NOT smell.

Stranger (Stray)

This is a dog. He licks himself clean several times a day, but he also rolls in the dirt and licks his butt with the same tongue he cleans himself with. Judge for yourself. Might be cleaner when Omori takes the afternoon to wash him with the hose and soap in the backyard. Smells of dog.

2/10 (but 9/10 by demon standards)

Flower

Flower always smells nice. He doesn't need to put in any effort to do this, it seems that his genes just happen to be perfect for rarely getting dirty and having a pleasant smell. Even when he works out, gardens, or has a boxing match, he seems to stay rather clean.

Omoriboy

Do not engage. Biohazard level. He's crusty, he's musty, rats stopped visiting his room because of how filthy he is. Do NOT engage.

Sunny

My controversial opinion is that he tries. Look at his combed hair! He takes baths to think and to fall asleep and then have dreams and/or night terrors in there, and in the process, he gets clean. He could do better, but there is worse on this list.

Despite his depression, he keeps trying. It's hard to cover up all traces of his declining mental health, but hygiene-wise, he does pretty well. Vaguely smells of flowers and regrets.

Abandonment issues and Internet incel boyfriend

I don’t really talk about my Omori AU, called Houseplant, mostly because the Rain World hyperfixation is real.

Anyways here’s some stuff about Houseplant AU:

-another sibling AU with Rowan/Flower being Basil’s older sibling, and Omoriboy being Mari and Sunny’s older sibling. I was writing a fic which took place 2 years after Mari’s death, but I thought it was cringeworthy after posting the first chapter, so it no longer exists.

-Omoriboy is called Akira in the real world, but one day, Sunny called him Omori by accident. Mari thought the name was cute, so the nickname stuck around, eventually morphing into Omoriboy

-Only Omoriboy calls Rowan, “Flower”. The nickname also sticks around for Omoriboy’s headspace

-Omoriboy is still our chronically online Redditor. He works at the Faraway grocery store, and doesn’t really know what to do with his life, but tries his best rekindling past friendships.

-Rowan has abandonment issues after Omoriboy cuts contact with him after Mari’s death. He has a bit of a temper, and puts his grandmother and Basil’s needs first before his, often going out for errands and doing small jobs around town.

The entire premise of the AU was mostly a reflection of my past relationships.

From forgotten side-characters to historical figures to real life boats, this poll aims to find the oddest most obscure object of obsession. The winner of this poll will be the strangest fave on the Strange Fave website, and submissions are open HERE.

Rules:

Blorbo is a flexible term, but usually applies to sentient characters. The key here is that you love them & adore them & would call them "poor little meow meow" and other such terms of affection. If you want to scrunch them like an accordion, put them in a salad spinner, tenderly care for their wounds, or wring them out like a washcloth, you're on the right track.

OK so this all started on the last week of May, which, tmi was also when it was my birthday (yay) and the universe decided to gift me: Rowan 😌💗

For those unaware, Rowan was basically known as the "beta Basil" or the beta design of Basil before he became well, Basil! This art made by Omocat dated back in 2012 features Rowan with rowdy hair (that isn't really as defined as Basil's but, it's there), a sweater vest + shirt combo, and a flower on their head, similar to the present design of Basil

idk where it truly started, but he blew uP on Twitter thanks to user @/znazzysam

It became the talk of the community for a couple days and that of course included mE 💥👄💥 I was just so darn intrigued at the thought of Basil's former design and how people comment on how he looks 'aggressive' or 'emo' and it's just so funny that the identity of Rowan looks and feels so different to that of Basil

And so my brain started to voice out ideas on what or who Rowan could be on twitter and it eventually led to my brainrot over Basil and Rowan 🥴 excuse the barrage of Twitter screenshots below being such examples!

I'm sure there was more but that was most of it. At first I thought of him as a separate entity/character unrelated to Basil and may even be featured as a character in the story (ie he'd gang up with Aubrey and the Hooligans, he's rowdy and mean etc.). Eventually though, I started to see him as someone who is related to Basil and eventually tweeted this:

ever since that tweet I now thought of Basil and Rowan as twins and GAHHH IT JUST ALL WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE /s and now I started spewing more ideas about them living under the same roof ✌️😚
