What you didn't expect to have found at your concert were Cybertronians. It's been decades that Earth has accepted them as an intergalactic species. -The first ones to come in contact with your planet.

Regardless, performing for a different alien species was definitely not part of your bucket list. But! Definitely a welcomed one!

While it's not like Cybertronians never had music or performances back on Cybertron, they were totally different from Earth's version. Top it off with millions of years of war, it basically was foreign. Besides, listening to songs for the first time live without prior knowledge is difficult. But not for Megatron. Something about the flow of the lyrics and melody drew him in.

It felt like a poem. A piece of writing animated into life, becoming an artform. One that's being presented in front of his very own optics.

Performance arts. As he was told. And now he understood why.

After the performance, you and your band are catching a break in the backrooms. (Can go several routes, either obsessive!megs rescans your tour bus and takes the form ((i seriously cant see it)) or through ~intergalactic~ powers with the governments or whoever, managed to secure vvip slots and manages to meet you)

You two hit it off. (Romantic or platonic i did not decide!!)

Spending the time Megatron has on earth discussing music, lyrics writing, songwriting, and poetry. You explain that Earth music is a very similar to poetry, Often starts off as that, incorporated into a melody. Or vice versa.

You also explain that Earth has several languages, and you often pull elements from them to combine them into a song.

Hearing this, Megatron was excited. Over the sort time, he's warmed up to you and wanted to share his writings with you, but being more on the reserved side, he didn't want to open himself up like that yet. (Yet you did lmao??) But hearing that you enjoy languages and analyzing works from all different places made him finally sheepishly share some of his writings. (Alternatively crack reader version, you scurry like a fucking raccoon and steal his works, i know i would)

You find his writing absolutely beautiful. Originally having him translate his works from Cybertronian into English, as time restrain never allowed you to learn the language.

You don't tell him, but you're already planning to convert his works into music. (Romantic divergence you write it just for him, platonic you perform it for everyone. Give him royalties!! Shanix is a proper currency now!! You start playing the Shanix market with profit from his share, saving it for next time he comes back.) (honestly even romantic route can be performed live, just when LL comes back again)

Ideally you keep in touch with him even when he's departed Earth and back on LL adventures. (If you want angst, we can make it not lmaoaoo)

You already spend plenty of time studying language and songs of the world, but paid extra attention to Cybertronian after this encounter. Wanting to understand the meeting behind his poems. As Cybertronian, is a complex language, a different system that's extremely versatile and open ended when it comes to context.

Spending time translating, and re-writing his thoughts into English, you eventually dedicate a song (or album if you won the right type of adhd ig)

Years later, the LL returns back (we ignore the fact LL timeline is a mess and has multiple alternate dimensions) and either from him keeping in touch with you, or because he hunted your band down with the ~world wide web~ you two reunite and you perform the song.

Album version would have the whole band performing, but special for this concert, you adjusted the set list to a ballad with only an either guitar/keyboard synth/piano version.

Megatron found the performance to be haunting. Even though he's in the farthest rows, vision isn't an issue for Cybertronians. A simple zoom and he can see everything up close. The way your lips tremble with each vibrato, the way you have your eyes closed as you keep on beat with your hands, even the way your voice nearly cracks and how you're choking back tears in the verses. Raw emotion. Emotion he never knew how to portray during his time as a Decepticon leader. Yet wanted to so badly since the days of a miner. He's finally found peace in his spark of what he meant.

Every verse and chorus was created with his writing. A powerful display of passion strung together from his words. One that his very spark flares to the beat of.

Reading TGCF: Chapter Ten

Chronos x Erebus/Tentacles

Chronos basqued in the victory of his dominion over the house of Hades. Even with the sacrifices and the worship of his cult, despite regaining his form and rebuilding himself, his energy and power still needed some time before coming completely back to him. He had gathered just the right amount of energy to capture the chthonic gods and subjugate his son, and so he had been admittedly drained for the first months of his victory.

But as time passed and all kept going exactly how he had planned, Chronos was growing arrogant. Tartarus was already turning into a beautiful machine, all golden gears and ticking sounds around him, the gold he so loved adorning everything he deemed worthy. But what about the other layers of the underworld? Chronos wanted to make sure that all of the layers knew and recognized him as their new ruler. After all, wasn't his own cult on the entrance of the underworld what brought Hades’ downfall? He couldn't allow a similar cult to form under his new rule. So, he set his eyes on the rest of the underworld, one particular area catching his attention the most. 

Erebus.

Since he gained control of the underworld, Erebus became unruly. As if it was a living organism, the chambers that his son had once established were coming apart, slowly growing its own nature and taking their own shape. He couldn't have that, of course. After all, wasn't Erebus a place where shades arrived to wait? He was the new ruler of the underworld and time himself. This place should bend to his will, and despite still recovering from his revival, Chronos felt very confident he could tame the beast that Erebus was becoming. 

…

Perhaps now, he might have regretted that decision. For he was now lost, no matter what he did in this realm, he found himself wandering unable to bend this place to his will, and worse, unable to find his way *out*. Angrily he swung his scythe to whatever he could, breaking the columns that were in the process of being reclaimed by vines or cutting short the lives of trees that were just beginning to sprout between the floor slabs and exposing the soil underneath. It might look petty, but everything here was born of darkness, the very essence of Erebus. He knew that soon enough he would provoke a reaction from the realm, knowing that at some point a manifestation of Erebus itself would come and confront him. That's when he would dominate and control this place. 

A smug smirk appeared on his lips when after all his wandering, he was sure he found something that showed progress. As he passed through the forming cracks of the old walls of Erebus, breaking and cutting down what he needed to make a dignified trail, he encountered something. 

It looked like a pit. A pit so dark that it seemed endless, the light practically swallowed by its mere presence. 

“Ah. There it is.” He said as he floated towards it. He didn't once set foot down on this dirty place, deeming it unworthy yet of his touch. “So Erebus is finally making a real appearance, hm? Good. It's time I showed you who is in charge now.” With a wave of his hand, he tried to freeze this manifestation of Erebus in time, but it didn't work. “Hmmm…” Perhaps since Erebus was something both of a place and a living thing, it was not as simple as freezing it in time like the other chthonic beings. Besides, he was seeing what he assumed to be a hole- a dark void on the ground, maybe it was a gateway?

He tested first by dipping his cane into it. And before he could react, something took hold of it, janking it and himself inside this void. The next moment all Chronos could see was darkness. He couldn't even see his hands in front of him. Snarling, he transformed his cane into his scythe again- but this time that something had grabbed him, squeezing first the wrist of his hand holding the scythe, another unseen appendage janking it away from his hold, leaving him unarmed. “How dare you-!” another appendage wrapped around his other hand, and despite being unable to see it, he could feel it. It was some sort of tentacle, cold and smooth. He trashed and attempted to get away, but the darkness around him was powerful. It refused to let go. One tentacle wrapped around both his legs, leaving him inmobile, his wings attempting to move and even flap to attack the offending appendages fruitlessly. 

It was now that he realized he should have waited to regain his full power before attempting such a thing. And now, he was worried that he would pay the price. He cursed at himself, his own hubris bringing him low, being captured like a fly on a web. As he tried to look around himself, all he could see was the darkness around him. No escape routes. No matter, he was time himself. He couldn't be killed, and he couldn't be captured forever like this. But he squirmed and growled as he felt another tentacle touch him, tracing the line of his spine, as if it was looking for the place where his wings connected to it. He shuddered, which encouraged the tentacle. “W-what are you…?” She said through gritted teeth as more joined, a couple running through his hair, another experimentally wrapping around his neck, and a couple exploring his chest and arms. A new feeling flared for Chronos. 

Pure, humiliating and unwanted *arousal*.

It was now that he realized that he was not only vulnerable and at the mercy of Erebus, but also, ever since his reforming he had not been even touched by anyone. He had no idea his body was this sensitive after being remade. A new panic set in, as he began to writhe with more desperation as the tentacles began to get more mischievous. One of the tentacles exploring his chest brushed against a nipple, making him buck and writhe as a strained groan escaped him, a blush forming in his face. Experimentally the tentacle continued, now one tracing the form of his buttocks, and one tentacle poking gently the inside of his ear. 

His legs squeezed together, trying to hide the growing arousal and limit the tentacles wandering. “S-stop! Stop this instant! I'm your master, you can’t-” His words were caught short as a tentacle entered his mouth. The void of tentacles did not speak, but Chronos could sense its intentions. It didn't care for his demands nor his complaints. He could sense as if it was curious, and even delighted to have a plaything in its clutches. He tried to bite down on it, but the tentacles did not even react, exploring his mouth deeper and deeper. It seemed to relish on his temperature, he was warm compared to its own cold darkness. The only thing that could be felt in this dark endless void was both their touch and the sounds he made. Erebus liked it. He wanted to hear more, to feel more. To have him at his mercy. To show him he was no master of Erebus. 

With horror Chronos realized that a couple of tentacles began to explore his legs, wrapping around his thighs and caressing them, making him shiver and swallow up a moan. A couple of tentacles decided to focus on his nipples as he tried for dear life to keep his legs squeezed together. Another tentacle found his belly button and attempted to enter it, making him convulse for a second out of the strange ticklish sensation that jolted through him. Sweat formed in his brow as he realized the tentacles were looking for more holes to explore, not satisfied with gagging him alone. “Hmmm! Hmm- mmmn!” He furtively complained as one tentacle managed to undo his loincloth, now exposing him completely. There was a pause, despite the darkness Chronos knew that he was erect despite how much he tried to escape and deny this, the pause stretching as if Erebus was taking a moment to appreciate his naked form and drink up his humiliation. An undignified whimper escaped him when a single tentacle wrapped around the base of his cock, a deep shame taking over him as he realized how his body was betraying him, making him enjoy this violation. He thrashed, his energy waning as he was beginning to tire himself out. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get a hand or a leg free. Slowly, oh so slowly, the tentacle on his cock began to stroke it, from the base up to the tip and again down. Slowly, as if taunting him, the tentacle makes sure to swirl on his tip before continuing its ministrations, forcing a low moan to leave Chronos.

He never thought something from the underworld could be this depraved. He tried to quiet himself and not give Erebus the satisfaction of hearing his grunts and moans, but the tentacle was going deeper and deeper, the stretch beginning to hurt slightly. “Mmmmmmngh- AH∿!” A surprised moan escaped him, when the tentacle found his prostate. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition First Impressions

Started playing yesterday after having it sit on my Steam library for years and thought it would be fun to note down my first impressions of the game!

Tales Experience

For note, this is not my first game in the series. I've played a significant part/finished Symphonia, Abyss, Zestiria and Berseria, and also played a bit of Phantasia and Arise. My favourites are Abyss and Berseria!

The Plot

I've gone up to Shaikos Ruins by now, so I haven't seen muuch of the plot, but knowing Tales I can predict some conspiration of those in power that relates to the ancient technology lol

I don't mind most Tales games sticking to a tried and true formula as I think the best part of those stories is how they tie to the development of the characters. And talking about characters...

The Characters

I already like Yuri a lot tbh. I love how he's simultaneously too tired for this shit but also cares too deeply to not help others in need. Combat-wise he's your sword main character(tm) which I always appreciate since I'm not that good at combat to play with the more intensive chars lol. Cool dude 10/10.

Omg Estelle is another one I'm loving?? She's kind and sheltered but she's also funny and a book lover. I love her dynamic with Yuri, sheltered noble x world weary (ex-)military makes me think of Luke x Tear who I have always liked a lot. I also love her dress, it looks like a flower!

Extra notes on her and Yuri's relationship, I'm curious to see how Flynn will play into it but I'm already envisioning the "this is my boyfriend Yuri and this is my boyfriend's boyfriend Flynn" thing lol

Also she and Yuri already had the "would you still love me if I was a worm snake or frog?" conversation and I love that for them tbh

Ok but Repede is really cool! The only part of his design I'm not a big fan of is the electric blue fur on his head. I'm pretty curious on what's his story with his previous owner and how he came to hang with Yuri (I'm pretty sure the pipe is a memento?)

Mechanically he's the faster but frailer guy which is... ok I guess lol

Mechanically he's the big swing guy which I always enjoy playing as even tho I'm bad at it

Smartass ass lil lady/10. This is a "type" of character I always like in Tales so happy to see her there lol. Still have to finish the ruins to see how will she decide to tag along the party. Mechanically she's the offensive caster, found her nice to play at but I don't like to stay still for long so I don't play caster very much.

Now that I'm done with the characters for now, let's get to...

The Gameplay

This is one of the Tales with the lanes + free movement duo. I'm playing on normal bc I'm a scrub, but I still feel that blocking at the right time/free moving to reposition is pretty important as some enemies can hit quite hard. Usually it gets easier with time bc you get more characters/spells, but for now I'm feeling the difficulty is in a nice place. Skills being learnable from weapons adds some more levels of choice (do I equip every new stronger piece of equipment or do I wait to learn skill X?) which is interesting. I'm glad I'm playing on my Deck as I don't have to worry about save points since I can just put it to sleep.

Now for the last part...

The Visuals

As I've stated before, I'm playing this on a Steam Deck, so I can't comment on how this would look on a giant screen, but for the Deck at least, it looks pretty good! The art direction is pretty strong and all the environments I saw up to now have been distinctive and very nicely crafted. The characters also look pretty good, and the overrall effect is like you're playing an interactive anime. Really shows how a good art direction makes a game look good no matter how old it is.

Anyways having an overrall nice experience with this one! I'm curious to get more characters and see how they develop. Idk if I'll write any more of this but it has been fun to ramble about lol. If you read this all thanks for reading lol have you played this game?

I saw this art by @andavs and their tag about how Buck would read random wikipedia articles to Eddie while he's trying to fall asleep and I thought

Omg yes he would and Eddie would complain but actually secretly love it and I immediately needed to write that out

“Please, Buck,” Eddie whines.

“No, wait Eds, this is really interesting! Listen!”

Eddie groans and presses his face into the pillow. They’ve been talking about a few different things – like the upcoming parent-teacher night – while they were getting into bed and Buck had suddenly grabbed his phone and started to indulge in one of his research sprees just as Eddie had turned off the light.

Eddie has no idea how in the world Buck had landed on this topic while discussing Christopher’s new teacher, and now it’s been five minutes of Buck talking about various space related facts which finally landed on the big question.

“It turns out that space does smell,” Buck reads to him, ”and our solar system has a very particular smell. This is likely the result of several factors, but all are clear: Our corner of the universe is kind of stinky.

“Can you imagine?” Buck asks and Eddie just groans and snuggles deeper into the pillow.

“No, I can’t,” Eddie answers. His voice being muffled by the pillow so much it’s almost not recognizable, doesn’t seem to deter Buck in the slightest from his mission to teach Eddie everything there is to know about the very important science of space odors.

“Oh here, they’re quoting an astronaut. He said that it smells metallic , sweet metallic, whatever that is supposed to mean.”

Eddie just grunts in response. Then Buck does this irritating thing where he’s still reading to him but only really saying every other word out loud. It always leaves Eddie in the funny position of trying to make any sense of Buck’s mumbling. He regularly comes to a completely different conclusion than whatever article Buck is presenting to him. But it’s kind of a fun game when he has the energy for it, which is not really the case tonight though.

I'm doing alright, actually! I need to update my tagged post- still dealing with depression and burnout, to be honest, but I'm getting better, and learning to be my own person and love art and music and creating again, so things are actually good relatively speaking.

I'm actually really happy to hear the impact I had, too- I think part of me had wanted to be that when I started doing that spam like-and-comment thing, but I was also just really excited to find another Ninjago fan, and I am genuinely so, so impressed seeing how far you've come. It's amazing to see the progress and how your art style has developed. I'm also like 90% sure you have far surpassed me at this point, I've been wanting to get into animating for years and you're ALREADY DOING IT LIKE HELLO??? THAT'S SO COOL

Sometimes I miss the DeviantArt phase, there was something unique about that, but it's definitely gone out of style. I don't post as often as I once did, but I'm trying to start posting what I do draw more often, and I'm a little more active on one of my side blogs right now, and on Discord, than I am most other places.
