as if zoe would actually turn down some alone time with iris; it wasn't like they had much time on their own in the first place, especially with the way they had to sneak around. it wasn't the right time for anyone else to find out what had been going on between the two, but maybe one day if things did work out. "you just always know the right things to say." they responded in reference to her blush, chuckling. the mention of a movie made zoe chuckle just a bit, mostly because they could never finish one whenever they were on their own. "i'll follow your lead, as long as it means spending time with you. it can be, like... our own little sleepover. let's do it."

music to their ears.  “  was hoping you'd say that,  ”  iris murmured as their hand remained held by their own,  hints of amusement written across her features when she looks at zoe.  “  what's this about?  ”  question is paired by their free hand raising to cup their cheek,  thumb gently brushing over warm skin.  if any of iris' bandmates saw them like this,  the disbelief in her ability to be so soft would be unparalleled  —  much less the fact they'd successfully been sneaking around without detection all this time.  iris relaxed into the surprisingly comfortable cushion of the bus seat,  pulling the other musician with them,  gaze never once parting from zoe for too long.  “  could text one of the tour managers to see if they could sneak us in some takeout,  we could put in a movie..  ”  even if it only ends up half watched.  “  i just want to be with you.  ”
