What are your thoughts and headcanons? Do you have thoughts on how the boys tend to approach assigning beds in inns? Who do the chain choose to sleep near when camping and why? What are their dynamics like when settling down for the night and getting ready for the day?

In "Mirror Vs Open Closet Door: Fight!" by Gintrinsic (here) Four refers to the chain's decision on how to split up between inn rooms as the "Link-per-room ratio" which I find very funny. He, Sky, and Time also talk about their thought process behind why they do or don't want to sleep in a room with some of the others which I find fun and interesting.

quick rant that has nothing to do w my blog

So ppl that know me outside of my blog know this: I collect dolls. Right now I've got a few LOL OMG dolls and a G3 Twyla from monster high. I've been going back and forth for what I want to focus on, and since OMGs are cheaper, I went with them. Today I got a G3 Ghoulia, because I've wanted her since G1 and...

This doll is not worth the price point.

Not only do the G3's not come with stands, but my particular Ghoulia has a glue stain on her shirt, loose hair and INCREDIBLY loose knee joints, so even if I was supposed to be able to stand her on her own- I quite literally can't.

Moving onto the box: I had to entirely destroy it to be able to cut the tabs connecting the back of her head to the plastic, which means that unless I use a lot of cellotape- that box is now unusable if I wanted to resell her in future.

So here's what's making me annoyed.

I pay around £14-£21 for my OMG dolls (SMYTH's and the entertainer) and this Ghoulia was £29.99 (also SMYTH's).

I paid twice the amount of my newest OMG doll just to get no stand, damaged clothing and hair/joints that could fall apart at any minute. I'm not saying LOL are perfect- far from it, there are TONS of issues with the smaller surprise dolls which is why I don't get them. But at least with them the boxes are reusable, you get either a ton of accessories or an entire second outfit (including clothing bags, hat/shoe boxes and hangers!) , and most importantly A STAND. An adjustable stand with an extra platform for smaller dolls on some of them!

I suppose to summarise, I'm just incredibly disappointed in the immense downgrade G3 has brought with it (I haven't even mentioned the fact you don't get a hairbrush :/)

Full price OMG dolls are sometimes £10 more than these monster high ones, and to be honest I would be more than happy to pay that because of the quality and contents.

i have to be a big guy today and knock out a bunch of tasks for my job AND i have a check-in meeting with my boss at 10am 🫠

don't get me wrong, my boss is cool and i enjoy my job, but i think i need to slightly rework my schedule so i get more chill time & gardening time in the mornings, so i'll talk about that today

I keep noticing small language things and other parallels when it comes to AA & DGS XD I almost always listen to a combination of all my dubbed relaxing game OSTs while I'm writing. I think it's because both played relatively close to each other tonight, but Edgeworth's theme from JFA onward and Kazuma's grand reveal have similar naming schemes.

Edgeworth's is 「大なる復活～御剣怜侍」 (or the other way around; romaji for it is ounarufukkatsu - mitsurugireiji), its English title being "Triumphant Return - Miles Edgeworth." Kazuma's is 「大なる帰還」 (ounarukikan), and in English it's "His Glorious Return." I guess they're also pretty close in English, but the difference in endings (復活 vs. 帰還) is really the word that changes instead of the adjective (大なる, which roughly means "great" in both cases).

I'm relying a lot on google since I'm still a beginner when it comes to speaking Japanese b u t I only got curious about this because the actual verb for "to return" is 帰る (kaeru), which shares the same kanji with 帰還 and then it went downhill from there.

復活 (fukkatsu) is actually closer in English to resurrection or revival, which makes a lot of sense considering the first time the player actually hears Edgeworth's theme. If I remember right (it's been a hot second since I've played JFA), the first time you hear it is in the police department in 2-4 after Edgeworth butts into Franziska and Wright's conversation after being presumed dead for... I don't remember how long oops. There's the literal revival of him being not dead and coming back to Japanifornia, but also the metaphorical revival of him learning to be a better prosecutor.

帰還 (kikan) roughly translates to repatriation, which is a big word I didn't know until I googled it. Oxford says it means "the return of someone to their own country," which is of course super interesting with the context of when it plays in DGS2. It's during the scene where it's revealed who the Professor is and Kazuma gets his memories back. You can interpret it in the way of his memories returning to their rightful place, essentially "coming home," or in the way that home isn't necessarily a place and he's been "reunited" with his father and/or friends after so long. OR (I'm spitballing here as the ideas come to me) it's super weird in the sense that the meaning doesn't match since Kazuma wasn't born in England, but it could mean repatriation in the sense that he's "freeing" Genshin's spirit by destroying the waxwork and retuning it back home, Japan or Karuma or wherever it is.

i would like to Try and make 20k today which is only 2k words and it's 11:30....only thing i have to do today is groceries...and i'm at work all day tomorrow so no writing then probably...i am working with a lot of stuff i've already written so that'll slow down the word count and this is a pretty slow chapter in terms of things happening it's more like, a lot of set up/establishing beau's current circumstances and how he interacts with it. but i think it's doable especially because when i get really into lover boy i just don't shut the fuck up
