1. are you named after anyone? No, fun fact my parents still hadn't chosen a name for me when we left the hospital! They chose my name pretty randomly from a baby book I think. My middle name's from some great aunt on my mum's side but I never knew her

2. when was the last time you cried? umm two weeks ago when i realised I was gonna have to submit my final essay a day late

3. do you have kids? um NO at this age??? Maybe down the track but yk, depends on the partner/circumstances/general state of the world I guess

5. what sports do you play/have you played? I've been playing soccer nearly 10 years now and it's one of my favourite things, I also did gymnastics, AFL and swimming when I was a kid.

4. What sports do you play/have you played? I used to be a basketball player and a track star! Those were my favs and the ones I was most skilled at, but I also played softball, soccer, cross country, some swimming, and a few others over the years!!!

eh i was named after a grandparent in a slapdash way. like they just chopped off half the name and called it a day...

2. when was the last time you cried?

literally probably like 24-48 hours ago in the car thinking about how doomed i am (this is not true.). or maybe it was reading a sad article...i don't know. I tear up a lot but full on sobbing bawling was in mid-Dec and a more sustained sniffle crying was when i was hungover and miserable about my tortured loneliness and doom for the future on new year's day lol

3. do you have kids?

omg...no...the microplastics in my womb and doom in my genome and also i'm broke and single and american

4. what sports do you play/have played?

i swim but it's like in the way that other ppl take walks around the neighborhood a few times a week. sports were so fucking abysmal for me growing up that i feel i am unlikely to ever return

occasionally...i've grown out of it for the most part though. there are better ways to be funny in a lot of situations...i am silly goofy mostly, or use observational humor and wacky metaphors etc

i'd love to be like 'a warm smile :-)' but if i'm being totally honest i'm scanning their clothing/hairstyle/grooming etc to scan for anyone likely to judge me based on my failure to conform to gender and modern consumerism...which isn't fair to others, i know......but sometimes you just see someone in like salon highlights barrel curls full makeup suburban drip and you're like hmmm eeeeeek scary! I think this is a vestigial defense mechanism from my relentless failure to dress right and be liked growing up. need 2 keep an eye out for the freaks and geeks and allies you know (but i'm so lucky to be in circles where everyone is dressing androgynously, having full on body hair everywhere, no makeup is the norm rather than the exception, funky used clothes and practical work/outdoors gear is the norm, etc. ok i'm getting off track...). i also notice people's height relative to my own bc i'm a bit insecure about towering over some people even though i'm not that tall.... :-( this stuff says way more about me than about anyone else... :-( i will say though that i'm pretty good about ignoring these first readings and giving people a chance once i get to know them. this is just the knee jerk first impression stuff

is it dumb if i say i like scary movies with happy endings? i know there are like... two out there. but fr i prefer vaguely frightening/disturbing and bittersweet (pmmm and other horror anime are the best examples). the typical horror movie gotcha endings annoy me, with a few exceptions like evil dead 2 and the first two re-animators. most of my favorite movies/books are sad and end with major character death actually D: BUT IN GENERAL i don't watch a LOT of scary movies and prefer happy endings, those faves are technically outliers. i just like to be moved!

1. are you named after anyone?

yeah my birth name, the middle name is my grandma’s name. she died when my dad was young. my current name is definitely named mostly after chris pine tbhhhhh

2. when was the last time you cried?

don’t remember!! probs when I was getting over my major concussion a couple months ago bc I was just so out of it mentally and it was really frustrating

3. do you have kids?

21 beautiful students and a dog

4. what sports do you play/have you played?

uhhhh I played soccer for yearssss as a kid and was Not Good At All. I wanted to play rugby and football but I wasn’t allowed bc I have a bleeding disorder. I did a season of track and then did fencing a few years as a teen. now I just hike and do yoga

5. do you use sarcasm?

NEVER

6. what’s the first thing you notice about people?

omg idk something about the vibe like niceness/approachability

7. what’s your eye color?

who even knows, green technically?? it’s got pretty much the whole rainbow floating around in there and one of my students is terrified of them and says they’re yellow like a demon bc he’s only ever seen people with “black” eyes his whole life….

Nope! None of my past or present names have been any actual person

2. When was the last time you cried?

I have no idea, I'm not much of a crier tbh. Maybe my birthday because several factors conspired to make me have a godawful day actually lmao

3. Do you have kids?

Hell no. I don't ever want kids, and I know that even if I wanted them I wouldn't be able to parent them as they deserved so I shouldn't have them

4. What sports do you play/have played?

I've been doing archery for the last eight years, and English longsword for about 18 months. I also swim sometimes. In the past I've done irish dance, softball, trampolining and gymnastics

5. Do you use sarcasm?

So much lol

idk... maybe their accent? meeting a new person is guaranteed to play havoc with my auditory processing issues

Brown

omg happy endings I am a giant weenie

I can do all sorts of party tricks with my stupid bendy joints but mY dOcToR sAyS i ShOuLdN't

Too many!! Drawing, painting, crochet, baking, archery, sword class, reading, going for walks, swimming, sewing, knitting, journalling...

I'm still in school as a PhD student in osteoarchaeology so... that. I used to like chemistry, history and maths in school-school

15. Dream job?

One of the big museums says "here we'll pay you for your entire career and you can go through our storage to catalogue and analyse all of our human remains, have fun" because there's SO MUCH in museum storage that's completely inaccessible bc half the time the museum doesn't even know they have it or where it's from or it's never been properly looked at. I'm pretty sure the natural history museum alone has enough to fill a 40 year career and it makes me so sad
