guys don’t get me wrong, as a filipino, that scene in no way home with ned’s lola and her speaking in tagalog was like the highlight of my movie watching career (fun fact: my siblings and i were the only people to laugh through the whole scene bc we were the only filipinos watching on opening night that people had to shush us until they started laughing during the english translation) but hear me out,,,

it would have been comedy gold if, while she was lecturing ned on liking her house to be clean as ned and the peters make it dirty, that lola held a walis tingting to protect herself from the peters after throwing a book at them, and smacking ned’s leg with it before pointing to places with it in the process of her lecturing. for context, this (photo below) is a walis tingting, and it’s basically a broom made of thin sticks stuck together by a rubber band.
