A ménage a trois
Pairing: Austin butler x fem reader x Olivia Dejonge
Plot: none, mostly filth
Warning: smut 18+, threesome
A/n: wrote this a while back and didn’t post cause it felt like too much, like I was violating Austin and Olivia and so I held back on it. But I’ve been gone for months and thought to post it. I asked and you guys said that you wanted it, so here you go. It’s not proof read so edited or anything.

No matter how many times I come to set, I never get bored of watching Olivia work. She is so dedicated to making justice by the person she has to play, you can see it in every detail of her performance, though she'll tell you otherwise if you ask her. I love to see her so driven, but it breaks my heart that she puts so much pressure of herself. Yes playing Priscilla Presley brings certain expectations from people, but still there's only so much pressure one can take before breaking. And today seems like the day for Olivia.
They are filming the scene of Priscilla leaving Elvis, she told me how nervous this scene made her. It's a sad moment in the lives of both Priscilla and Elvis, so she wants to embody her perfectly. Olivia wants to be vulnerable, while playing strong, she wants to be angry, while fear of the unknown drowns her. Being the talented woman that she is it only takes he a few takes to get it right. There's no problem with that. The problem is that when she 'exits Graceland' the last time, when Baz screams cut, instead of going back to herself, she lets out a cry and falls to her knees.
Rushing to her side, I hug her tightly, holding her trembling frame in my embrace. I lift a hand up to signal to the rest of the cast and crew that it's fine. "Shh baby, let's go get this make up off and bring my sweet Livy back." She nods her head through the constant sobbing. I help her get up from the ground and walk her to the make up station. She keeps crying softly while the makeup crew works on taking everything off. As soon as they are done, I thank them and take her by the hand. On the way to her trailer, the sobbing stoped, but tears keep falling out of her eyes and rolling down her puffy cheeks.
Inside the trailer I make her sit on the bed and I start undressing her, careful to put her clothes on the hanger and in the bag the costume department provided. She's now just in her underwear, sitting on the edge of the bed. I come to sit in between her legs, running my hands up and down her arm. "You ok baby?" She nods bringing her lips to my face and pulling me towards her. The kiss we share tells me everything about how she's feeling now. It physically hurts me to know she's hurting. Her hands get tangled in my hair, deepening the kiss.
When we break apart to catch our breath,  her lips keep kissing all over my face. I hug her waist and she sighs in delight. Her legs hug my hips and I bring my lips back to hers, catching her in a hungry and lustful kiss. Pulling back to look at her face, Olivia still looks like she hanging on all those emotions form the scene, but her pupils are blown wide, lust clear on her face. I smile at her and she answers with a timid one, throwing her head back to let out a sigh. "Please!" She says as she grabs one of her breasts through her bra, kneading it in her small hand. My hands move up her back, until they reach the bra clasp, undoing it. The garment falls off her shoulders and I throw it somewhere in the trailer. I kiss her neck, alternating between kissing, biting and licking. She's a mess in my arms, arching her back and letting out noise that go straight to my core, making the wetness grow in my panties.
I move down, taking a breast in my mouth, sucking and grazing my teeth on the tender skin. "(Y/n) ahh so good, please, please, don't stop" detaching my mouth from her breast, I grab both of them in my hands, twisting the nipples in between my fingers. "Wouldn't dream about it, my sweet Livy!" I say. Her hips move against mine, trying to get some much needed release. Still playing with Olivia's nipples, I start kissing my way down her torso. At the hem of her panties I leave small red marks, then I go to lick a strip up her pussy over the soft cotton of her underwear. Her hips grind against my face, but I pull back to tease her a bit. "More, please!" She's breathless, she looks so beautiful, cheeks red, lips plump and nipples hard. God I love her.
Hooking my fingers in her panties I move them down her legs, finally exposing her to me. Olivia lays on her back, playing with her breast, spreading her legs and bending her knees. "Such a good girl, touch yourself while I undress, do it for me honey." She nods and a trembling hand goes to her clit, slowly drawing circles. Her moans fill the small space and cause me to rub my thighs together. I quickly dispose of my thin dress and the annoyingly wet panties. Kneeling in front of her pussy, I blow on it, making her shiver. She takes her hand away and I lick my lips in anticipation of tasting her.
Before I get to my goal, the door to the trailer swings open. I jump up and turn to look at who dared to come in without knocking. Austin is frozen in place for a moment, taking in the scene happening before his eyes. Olivia throws a bed sheet over my shoulder, covering the both of us. "Um, shit, I'm so sorry... uh I just wanted to see if she's ok.. sorry" he says, a blush creeping up on his face. He's not showing any signs of leaving and an idea comes to me. I look back at Olivia and she looks mortified, eyes wide and mouth agape. "Close the door Austin and come here" I can feel Olivia tensing behind me and Austin's eyes go wide as he sits frozen in place. "Now, big boy, or leave, your choice" I turn back to Olivia and mouth 'trust me' to her. She nods her head as one of my hands goes between her legs. "God you're so wet, baby." I moan circling her clit. She can't help or whimpers coming out of her mouth as her eyes close. I push her back down on the bed, the sheet covering is falling down. I hear the door closing, but I didn't hear Austin move so I assume he's still here, watching. "Tell me Austin, do you know how to eat a girl out?" I ask, toying with Olivia's pussy. I don't get a response, so I look over my shoulder. I smile, he's here, stuck in the doorway, dark eyes watching us. "Baby would you be ok with Austin eating me out?" I ask Olivia and she moves her hips against my hand, begging me to do more. "Yes, yes, anything, please!" I take my hand away from her and she whines at the loss of contact.
Turning over to Austin, I walk up to him. I can feel Olivia's eyes watching me closely. "Here is how is going to go, Austin. The three of us are going to have a good time, make my girl forget about the sad scene and then go on just as before. Can you do that?" I ask, he gives it a thought and then nods. "Yes, of course." I lift his shirt over his head, walking a confident hand down to the hem of his pants. My fingers dance over the soft skin there. I watch the muscles contract in response. Cupping his erection, through his pants with one hand, I squeeze him a couple of times, as my other hand works on opening his pants. Austin grabs my shoulders and throws his head back moaning. When I finally open his jeans, I kneel down taking them off along with his boxers. His cock springs free, hard and leaking precum. Standing up I take him in my hand, swirling around the tip to gather some sleek, then give him a few pumps. "Fuck." He starts to thrust in my hand and I step back. He opens his eyes confused.
I smirk at him and get up on the bed. "Remember the question I asked, pretty boy?" He nods and walks forward. I lay down on the bed, placing my head on the pillows. "Come sit on my face Livy, Austin is going to be a god boy and eat me out. If you do a good job, you get rewarded Austin" I say as Olivia comes up, straddling my face. I pat her thigh and she understands to turn around so she can watch Austin work. I grab her hips and lower her on my face. "Fuck!" She falls forward bracing herself on her arms. Olivia starts to grind against my face and I moan into her.
The bed dips with Austin's weight. His hands spread my legs and he licks a strip up my pussy. I arch my back, but one of his strong hands lays on my belly and keeps me glued to the bed. I moan as he focuses on my clit, sucking and licking, one finger circling my entrance. I squeeze around nothing and whine into Olivia's pussy. "Fuck, (y/n)" I move my face side to side, slurping on her juices as she rides my face. Austin pushes two fingers inside me, curling them upward and plumping them in and out. The coil in my belly grows and it's ready to burst. His calloused hand moves up and kneads one of my breasts. I scream into Olivia's pussy and that sends her over the edge, trembling on top of me, as my body shakes under her, with the force of my own orgasm.
I smack her bum and she gets off of me, shaking still. Austin has a big grin plastered on his face and normally I'd do anything to make it disappear, but he's earned it. "Did I do good?" He ask, he's so coy, he knows he did good. I giggle and I shake my head. Grabbing Olivia by the waist I make her lay down on her back. I get on top of her, scissoring her, moaning when our wet pussies touch. "Shit" she says. I throw my head back in pleasure. "Have you seen girls scissor before Austin?" I ask looking at him. He moans watching me start to slowly grind down on Olivia. "Not in real life, no" he admits. I smile at him and motion for him to come. "I'll suck your cock, while I grind my pussy against my girlfriend's. Reward for being so good." Austin closes his eyes, passing a hand through his dark hair.
I start to grind on Olivia, opening my mouth for him. He doesn't need being told twice as he confidently starts fucking into my mouth. Olivia is being so loud, making me three times wetter. Closing my eyes I moan around Austin and I can already feel him twitch. He's close, so am I and by the way Olivia moves herself against me, she's not far behind. After a few more thrusts in my mouth and a couple of squeezes to his balls, Austin stills in my mouth and twitching he cums. Groaning loudly, playing with my nipples. I cum shaking and Olivia follows suit, releasing the sweetest noises.
Austin pulls out of my mouth and collapses on Olivia's right side. I fall on the bed to her left and hug her close to me. She buries her head in the crook of my neck and falls asleep almost immediately, exhausted from everything. I look over at Austin, who's just laying on his back, looking at the ceiling, not really believing what just happened. I brush his shoulder and he looks at me. "Thank you!" I say and he nods. He gets up to take the bed sheet from the ground and coming back in bed he covers the three of us.
We stay like that until Olivia's little snores, lull us to sleep as well. We'll deal with the mess of what we just did, later.

‘Ugh,’ Austin said as he flopped into the makeup chair with an oomph.
‘Long day?’ Y/N asked with a smile as he placed his feet up on the table beside her smiling cheekily as she bumped them off with a nudge of her hip.
‘The longest,’ he said, ‘that last scene took forever.’
‘It looked good though,’ she said handing him a makeup wipe. He took it without hesitation, but he looked up at her curiously.
‘You were watching?’ Austin asked a slight blush tinging his face that she didn’t notice.
‘Yeah I always try and watch where I can,’ Y/N said nonchalantly as she moved to start removing the adjustments to his face to get him back looking like himself. He allowed her to, watching her as she worked, her tongue poking out in concentration as she diligently removed every scrap of 60s Elvis from his face. She was leaning over him, the scent of her perfume wafting into his nostrils and causing a flutter to run through him as he realised just how close she was.
‘Have you got any plans for tonight then?’ Y/N asked as she dropped a couple of latex pieces into a small dish on the counter.
‘Food and Netflix probably,’ he shrugged.
‘Sounds fun,’ she chuckled.
‘Well if you’ve got any better ideas, I’m all ears,’ he replied. Y/N looked down at him before she looked away, fiddling with some of the items on the vanity as she said, ‘well we could hang out.’
‘Yeah?’ Austin replied.
‘Yeah, I mean I’m starving we could grab something to eat,’ she said finally looking at him though it seemed nervous as if she wasn’t sure he’d say yes.
‘How about the bar a couple of blocks from here?’ he said, ‘I’m sure it does food.’
‘Sounds good to me,’ she said.
‘Let me just get out of this costume and I’ll be ready, okay?’ he asked standing up from the chair. She looked down at the white suit and black pants he was still wearing.
‘Okay,’ she said. Austin nodded and headed back out of the room towards his dressing room. Once he was out of the door she checked herself over in the mirror hoping she looked presentable enough for evening plans. Fortunately she had everything she needed at her disposal and by the time she could hear Austin coming back down the hall she was supporting an effortlessly casual look.
‘Hey,’ Austin said popping his head around the door, ‘ready to go?’
‘Yep,’ she replied grabbing her bag from the floor and slinging it over her shoulder. As they got into the corridor and fell into step Austin looked at her. She looked different but he couldn’t put a finger on how all he knew was that he could feel those butterflies returning a small smile creeping onto his face.
When they got to the bar it was crowded and Y/N had to crane her neck to see if she could find a seat. Seeing there was a booth at the back free she barrelled towards it Austin followed quickly after he realised where she was headed however in the vicinity a girl got to the booth ahead of them, sliding into it before either of them could with her back to them. Y/N sighed turning back to face Austin though as she did she heard her name called from the booth making the pair of them look towards the voice and found Olivia looking at them.
‘Hey guys,’ she said.
‘Hey,’ Austin said moving to stand next to Y/N.
‘What are you doing here?’ she asked eyeing them both closely as they shared a look.
‘Just grabbing some food,’ Y/N said casually.
‘Yeah Y/N told me I wasn’t allowed to go home and watch Netflix all by myself,’ Austin chuckled, ‘what about you?’
‘Well I was meeting Helen for drinks but she’s running late,’ Olivia said checking her phone and opening it with a sigh, ‘even better she’s cancelled.’
‘Well you can join us right Y/N?’ he said missing the disappointment on her face as he slipped into the booth opposite Olivia.
‘Yeah of course,’ she said jovially slipping into the booth beside him not noticing Olivia watching her curiously.
As they ordered and chatted about the day of filming Olivia watched them both, participating in the conversation minimally as she observed them. She had of course suspected they had liked one another in more than just a friendly way. Austin was always eager to go to hair and makeup and Y/N almost never ended up working on anyone else but she didn’t know they were this smitten. As Austin told a joke Y/N laughed putting her hand on his bicep as she did, and Olivia watched as Austin’s face lit up from making her smile. It was as if neither of them realised Olivia was there. They only seemed to come out of their own bubble when the waitress arrived and placed down their food.
‘Man, I am ready for this,’ Austin said as he grabbed a knife and fork from the pot on the table.
‘I’m just going to go to the bathroom really quick,’ Y/N said.
‘Your foods gonna go cold!’ Austin said.
‘She’s not even brought mine yet it’ll be fine!’ she said before she disappeared off in the direction of the bathrooms. Olivia tucked into her nachos.
‘What do you think?’ Austin said shoving a French fry into his mouth as he watched her eat.
‘It’s good,’ Olivia said covering her mouth as she spoke and looking away from Austin who frowned feeling something was off.
‘You alright?’ he asked making Olivia look up.
‘Well I’m not having a great time,’ Olivia shrugged looking at him.
‘Why not?’ Austin asked his brows knitting together with confusion.
‘Because it’s no fun being a third wheel,’ she said a smirk falling on her face as Austin’s eyes went wide.
‘You’re not a third wheel-’
‘Oh please,’ Olivia chuckled taking a sip of her drink, ‘you two have barely even noticed me. You could’ve told me it was a date.’
‘It’s not a date,’ Austin said.
‘Sure it’s not,’ Olivia said with a roll of her eyes though after one look at Austin’s face she realised he was serious, ‘oh. I mean I just thought.’
‘Thought what?’ Austin asked.
‘I mean the two of you like each other,’ Olivia said continuing as Austin went to protest, ‘don’t pretend that you don’t. You barely even notice anyone’s around when she’s there.’
‘That’s not true,’ Austin said but as the butterflies fluttered inside him once more he realised his friend might have more of a point than he realised. He liked Y/N. They were friends sure, but he hadn’t thought of it like that. He enjoyed her company. She made him laugh and she was always the first person he got to talk to when he’d had a crappy day on set but he always thought it was just the way their roles had fallen yet as he thought about it he realised she’d been the first person he went to because she was the first person he wanted to tell. But did she like him back? If Olivia could see the way he liked her maybe she could see how Y/N felt too. But he panicked. What if he told her he liked her and she shot him down? They still had half a shoot to go and he couldn’t dare think about how awkward that would be.
‘Sure,’ Olivia said, ‘that’s why she looked heartbroken when you suggested we pair up.’
‘It’s not like that,’ Austin said, ‘I mean I don’t think it is. Wait do you think she thinks this a date?’
‘I dunno I mean looking at the pair of you it sure feels like one,’ Olivia ribbed making him scowl, ‘oh come on it’s not a bad thing.’
‘Liv I just got out of a relationship,’ he said.
‘So you’re not ready?’ she asked.
‘It’s not that…I guess it’s been so long since I felt like this, I didn’t really realise I did,’ he admitted.
‘But you do feel like that?’ Olivia asked.
‘Maybe…’ he said sighing as she stared at him pointedly, ‘okay yes.’
‘Then I think you should go for it,’ Olivia said.
‘What if she doesn’t like me back,’ Austin said.
‘I don’t think you have to worry about that. Hey, your wife can tell when someone’s into you,’ Olivia joked making him chuckle.
‘I forgot I’m a married man,’ he smirked.
‘Well I give you permission…in fact,’ she said as she spotted Y/N pushing through a crowd of men until she was back at the table. Austin looked puzzled but as Y/N sat down Olivia looked at her phone and sighed, ‘oh no.’
‘Everything okay?’ Y/N asked, smiling politely at the waitress who had just placed her food down before she looked back at an upset Olivia. Austin was watching her in disbelief as he realised what she was going.
‘No, Helen’s free now but she’s just asked me to meet her somewhere else,’ Olivia said looking up, ‘you guys don’t mind, do you?’
‘Oh, um no I guess not,’ Y/N said.
‘What about your food?’ Austin asked making Olivia smile, ‘you guys have it.’
‘Why don’t you just go afterwards?’ Y/N asked.
‘Yeah Liv, why not?’ Austin asked trying to make her falter but she didn’t.
‘I’m not too fussed. I’d already eaten anyway we were just meeting for drinks,’ Olivia said slinging her bag into her shoulder just as easily as her white lies slipped off her tongue. Austin had to admit, the girl could act.
‘Oh okay,’ Y/N said, ‘see you later then.’
‘Yeah, see you,’ Austin said making Olivia smirk.
‘You two have fun,’ she called as she headed out of the bar.
Austin moved to tuck back into his food, but he got distracted as he noticed Y/N staring at where Olivia had gone when she felt his eyes on her she turned and said, ‘that was weird right?’
‘How do you mean?’ he asked trying to hide the panic inside him.
‘I don’t know just odd. I mean is she okay?’ she asked.
‘She’s fine,’ Austin said cursing himself as she looked at him sceptically. He sighed, ‘she just felt a little out of place.’
‘Why?’
‘Because…because she thought we were on a date,’ he said quietly.
‘Oh,’ Y/N said trying to ignore the way her heartbeat quicker as he said it.
‘I mean I told her it wasn’t…right?’ he asked.
‘Right,’ she nodded looking back to her meal she moved her fork around the plate awkwardly. Austin stayed quiet for a moment but he could feel questions bubbling inside himself as those feelings he didn’t realise he had floated inside him refusing to be resubmerged now they breached the surface.
‘I mean would you mind?’ he asked earning a confused look from her, ‘if it was… a date I mean?’
‘No,’ she said quietly, ‘I wouldn’t mind.’
‘Really?’ he asked his heart beating a little quicker.
‘Yeah, actually I was a little disappointed we weren’t on our own tonight,’ she said.
‘Well, we’re alone now,’ he said only now noticing that they were closer together than he had anticipated. He felt as though he was going to kiss her but before his brain could connect she pulled back with a cheeky smile on her face which widened as he looked perplexed.
‘Nice try Butler,’ she said, ‘but if we’re gonna do this I’m at least getting a proper first date out of it.’
‘Is that so?’ he mused pulling back.
‘Definitely,’ she giggled.
‘Well in that case what are you doing tomorrow night?’

"look how good she takes it, you're fuckin’ her stupid” you faintly hear the blonde girl giggle, her teeth on display as her light eyes focused intensely on your tired features. trying to catch every single expression and whimper you made as much as she possibly could.
her fingertips circling around your sensitive button as your back rested against her bare chest. her fingertips matching the pace Austins thrust kept, the sight of his dick dipping in and out of your wet hole.
Austin let's out a breathless hum at olivia’s words, his blue eyes flickering up to your face to in-fact find you absolutely fucked stupid. your lips were parted, nothing but loud continuous flows of whimpers and coos escaping you while your face was scrunching up in nothing but complete bliss.
“you like that, yeah?" Austin rasped, his large hand adding pressure to your lower stomach so you could really feel him. you absently mindlessly and immediately nod in agreement to the question.
Olivia removed her fingers from your wet folds, and instead put the same duo of fingers in your mouth.
" you taste so good.” it was Olivia who then stated, the praising word. it flowing out of her mouth so easily. her other hand gripping at your flushed cheeks firmly, causing the sides of your mouth to wrap around her digits.
Austin squeezes your hips so tight to contain himself and looks down between your legs to watch you take him and all he can do is moan at the look of you stretching around him.
you felt your walls tighten with everything happening to your body, and Austin couldn't help but to let out a shaky moan as you tighten a little.
“i’m g-gonna cum…” at your quiet words Austin sped up his movements, his thrust now rough and fast.
olivia giggled at the two of you, removing her fingers from your mouth and towards your folds, causing you to jolt.
"what do you think, should we let her cum?" you heard from behind you, Olivia's voice full of humor at how needy you were while Austin's lips curved with the signature cocky smirk.

You awoke to sunlight streaming in through your bedroom window. It was much brighter than your usual 9am wake-up time; had you slept in? With a stretch and a soft hum, you turned, only to find your bed empty, Austin and Olivia nowhere to be seen. There was the enticing smell of coffee drifting in from the kitchen, though, and your hopes lifted. Maybe they were just up and getting breakfast ready?
You slowly got out of bed, your body protesting as you left the comfort of the sheets that still smelled comfortingly of your partners, and made your way to the kitchen. Your heart sank, and a sad smile crossed your face as you took in an empty room, with a note sitting on the counter next to a steaming mug of coffee, made exactly how you liked it.
Y/N,
Went out to run a few errands! We wanted to let you get your beauty sleep. Be back soon! We love you!
Aus + Liv
Your heart sank even further as you flipped the note over, searching for any other writing. When your search returned nothing, you frantically checked your phone to confirm the date. They didn’t— they wouldn’t really have forgotten your birthday, would they?
You sighed. Austin and Olivia had been… distant recently, you noticed. They weren’t home as often, claiming work ran late or they just lost track of time running errands, but something in your gut told you it wasn’t always that. And now here was your birthday and there wasn’t even a mention of it in the note they’d left for you before going off by themselves. It was like they were pulling away from you. Did they… not want to be with you anymore? Were you not good enough? some dark corner of your brain whispered. The media had been pretty critical of your… unconventional relationship, maybe they were tired of it.
Trying to shake off your sour mood, you snapped a photo of the coffee mug and sent it off to your partners: Missed you two this morning, but this was a very sweet thing to wake up to, thank you my loves ❤️
Olivia replied with a simple “Good morning! You’re welcome, sweetheart ❤️” and Austin’s came soon after: “Good morning sunshine! Errands are taking a little longer than expected, but I promise we’ll be home asap. Love you!”
You replied with a simple heart emoji as you took your coffee and plopped down on the couch in the living room. You set your phone down and turned your attention to your coffee and the TV, resigning yourself to a birthday celebration that consisted of watching Netflix all day.
You must’ve dozed off at some point after the 4-hour mark in your binge watch of Stranger Things, because you’re awoken around 3:37 (according to your phone) by voices, and a jangling of keys at the door. You sit up, blinking sleep from your eyes, just as Austin swings the door open and he and Olivia step inside, carrying several very heavy grocery bags. A tiny smile spreads across your face as you see them, but it soon fades as you remember it’s your birthday and this the first time you’ve seen them all day. Austin and Olivia seem oblivious to your sour mood as they come over to greet you.
“Hi sweetheart,” Austin says, pressing a kiss to your forehead, Olivia right behind him pressing a kiss to your cheek as she greets you, “Hi darling. How’s your day been?”
Still no mention from either of them about your birthday. Okay then. Guess it’s up to you to remind them.
“You guys know the date today, right?” You ask as casually as you can.
“Of course, darling,” Olivia replies, rattling off the date.
“And is there… anything special about today?” You ask hesitantly, hating that you have to spell it out for them.
“Well every day’s special when we’re with you,” Austin teases, “But—”
His words simply confirm your fears. You cut him off as you stand up from the couch, leaving the loves of your life sitting by themselves.
“Glad you guys had a good time together. Thanks for wishing me a happy birthday, by the way,” you mumble angrily, storming off to your shared bedroom.
“I don’t really wanna see you guys right now,” you sniffle, furiously wiping tears away as Austin and Olivia rush into the bedroom. Olivia sits down gently beside you on the bed, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as Austin comes to kneel in front of you, replacing your hands with his as he carefully brushes the tears from your cheeks. He opens his mouth to speak, but Olivia shushes him with a shake of her head as you continue.
“It’s bad enough that the two of you have been pulling away— don’t even try to deny it— but then you forget my birthday? I—” Some of your anger melts away as you break down into sobs, “I know it would be easier for you two if I wasn’t here, the media and everything wouldn’t be so…” You shake your head, unable to find a word to describe the criticism of the aspects of your relationship that most people just don’t understand, “But I’d really appreciate it if you just talked to me instead of icing me out of our damn relationship.”
“Sweetheart…” Austin takes your hand, looking like his heart just shattered at your words. “I promise, that’s not what we think— that’s not what we were trying to do at all.”
Olivia’s hand cups your cheek, turning you to face her, “We’re so, so sorry that we ever made you feel like that. That’s the last thing we ever want to do, you know that, right?” Her eyes look almost pleading, as if she’s begging you to believe her, “We have been distant, and I can’t tell you enough how sorry we are for that, but it’s because… well…” She turns to Austin, “Aus, do you wanna show her?”
Austin stands up with a nod, squeezing your hand before exiting the room. He’s back in a flash, carrying the grocery bags that they were carrying when they got home, as well as a small, flat velvet box. He sits on the other side of you, holding the velvet box in front of you. He nods to Olivia as he begins to explain, “I know this won’t in any way make up for how we’ve made you feel, but… we’ve been so busy lately because we were getting this made.”
Olivia takes over for him as you take the box from his hands and begin to open it, “We wanted to get you something to show you how much we love you.” As she speaks, you lift the lid of the box, revealing a delicate gold necklace with a pendant of three interlocking hearts, each with a tiny gem in the middle: a peridot, a diamond, and what you recognize as your birthstone. Tears spring to your eyes— happy ones, this time— and a gasp escapes you as you process what you’re seeing. A small smile forms on Olivia’s face at your reaction, and she envelops you in a hug.
“We’re not us without you, darling,” she murmurs in your ear as Austin joins in the hug so you’re sandwiched between them, a cocoon of love you never want to leave. Eventually they release you, and as Olivia pulls your hair up, Austin takes the necklace and delicately clasps it around your neck, placing a small kiss to where the clasp sits at the nape of your neck, “Perfect.”
You can’t help the growing smile on your face as you pull them one by one in for a kiss. “I love you both so, so much.”
“We love you too, sweetheart,” Austin says, “and I’m sorry we haven’t been great at showing that recently.”
“But,” Olivia jumps in, gesturing to the grocery bags, “We got a few things for you.”
She continues as you finally see what they brought: an assortment of your favorite snacks, candies, baked goods, and even your favorite ice cream that’s definitely melted by now. “I know we haven’t been around a lot, and we were thinking we could spend the day together just the three of us. No work, no distractions, no paps to bother us, just us celebrating the person we love most on their special day.”
“That sounds perfect,” you beam, and Austin and Olivia lead you out to the living room.
After putting the ice cream back in the freezer, the three of you cuddle up on the couch; your head on Austin’s chest, Olivia on your other side with her head on your shoulder, their arms wrapped around you. The rest of the day is spent watching your favorite movies, and trying to prevent Austin from stealing your M&Ms.
Though you all agreed there would be no phones, you wake up the next day to an Instagram post on both Olivia and Austin’s accounts, apparently posted just before midnight after you had dozed off in the middle of You’ve Got Mail. It’s a sweet series of pictures, starting with one of you beaming into the camera, then going on to a series of the three of you together, ending with a dim selfie taken by Olivia of the three of you sharing a slice of the ice cream cake they’d gotten you. You don’t think your smile can get any wider until you get to the captions; Austin’s reads “Happy birthday to my best friend and love of my life. Thanks for always letting me steal your M&Ms, sweetheart!” and you let out a soft laugh before scrolling to Olivia’s, which reads “Happy birthday to my sun, moon, and stars. There aren’t words to describe how much I love you. Here’s to another fabulous year around the sun 😘❤️”
Just then you feel a hand sleepily wrap around your arm and Olivia tugs you back down into bed, which you happily oblige. The three of you spend a lazy morning in bed cuddling, the gems in your necklace gleaming in the early morning light.

January 2020
I’m on the verge of panic when I get back to my apartment. I hadn’t expected to see Austin any time soon, let alone work with him. Would I still be here if I had known he was playing Elvis? I honestly don’t know. So far, it’s been fun being an extra for the movie, and I love my coworkers. Baz is a super nice director and excellent to work with, but knowing I have to see Austin and be up close and personal with him in scenes makes me feel some way. It’s been a year, but I don’t think I’m ready to have an actual conversation with him. I know acting like I don’t know him will be difficult, but I don’t want anyone to treat me differently. And pretending I don’t know Austin probably seems childish, but I don’t want him to acknowledge me anymore. Maybe giving off that I don’t care will make him not interact with me.
There’s a knock on the front door, and I reluctantly go to answer it. When I swing the door open, it’s Tyler, who looks concerned.
“Is everything okay? You left set pretty quickly.”
“Yeah, sorry about that,” I say, looking down at my feet.
“Don’t apologize to me. Apologize to Baz because he’s wondering where the girl with the money shot went,” Tyler chuckles, a pleased smile on his face.
“Money shot?” I ask, “What do you mean?”
“That look on your face when Austin grabbed your jaw was priceless,” Tyler says, “Baz wants you to do that exact face in every shot of the scene.”
I raise my eyebrows in shock, “Really?”
Tyler nods, “Yes. What made you leave the set like that anyway? You are okay, right?”
“If I tell you, you can’t tell anyone,” I bite my lip nervously.
“My lips are sealed,” Tyler says, moving his hand across his mouth as if he was zipping his lips shut.
“Austin and I dated a few years ago. I had no idea he was playing Elvis, and I wasn’t ready to see him,” I lean against the doorframe and avoid eye contact.
“Oh, damn. Do you think you would’ve taken your part if you had known Austin would be in the movie?” Tyler asks, not really reacting as crazy as I thought he would.
“I don’t know,” I say quietly, pursing my lips.
There’s a silence before Tyler speaks up, “Well, you might wanna return to set and come up with a good excuse for why you had to leave.”
“You’re probably right,” I sigh, peering up at Tyler as a smile cracks on my face, “Thanks for not being freaked out that Austin and I dated.”
“We all have that one relationship, darling. Trust me,” Tyler mumbles, guiding me outside of the apartment.
When we arrived back on set, I quickly told everyone that there was an emergency in my apartment that I had to tend to. Thankfully, Baz feels that the shot we got of the Trouble performance was good enough not to have to film it over again. That is a major relief because I don’t think I could’ve dealt with Austin grabbing my face again like that. The next scene we film will be the Louisiana Hayride performance, and I’m one of the screaming girls in the crowd. I’ll have a wig that’s a different color from my natural hair, which we used in the Trouble performance. That way, I won’t be easily recognized between scenes if a viewer just so happens to notice me.
Filming for the Louisana Hayride won’t start until tomorrow, so everyone is sent home for the rest of the day. I’m getting ready to go when I hear someone approach me from behind.
“Roman, right?”
I turn around to see Olivia DeJonge, the actress who plays Priscilla Presley. She’s been hanging on set since her scenes aren’t being filmed quite yet, so I’ve seen her around.
“Yes,” I smile politely, “What can I do for you?”
“Well, some of the cast and crew are going to get drinks later, and we were wondering if you’d like to join us?” Olivia smiles back.
“Oh, really? Not to be weird or anything, but why me?” I ask, hoping Austin wasn’t a part of this somehow.
“Your acting earlier was really good, and we just want to know more about your career. I’ve noticed you’ve been in a lot of stuff,” Olivia says, “It seems interesting, is all.”
“In that case, I don’t mind joining. Not many people seem interested in what I do,” I shrug.
“We are all very interested,” Olivia grins.
“Where exactly are we going for drinks?” I ask.
“It’s just a bar not far from here. It’s right next to the hotel down the street. Is seven okay?” Olivia asks, checking her watch.
“Seven is good! I’ll see you there,” I say, tossing my bag over my shoulder.
I hurry back to the apartment, and it’s a quarter past six when I get there. I decided on a tank top with some ripped jeans, a belt, and a leather jacket for my outfit. Nothing too fancy, plus in Australia, it gets a little cooler in the evening. For makeup, I just touch up what little I had on from filming earlier- winged eyeliner and a red lip. I pull my phone out and glance at the clock. It’s 6:40, so I go ahead and leave for the bar. I have a weird feeling about tonight, but I shake it off. Probably just the residual feeling of impending doom from earlier.
The moment I arrive at the bar, the cast members call me over. Luke Bracey, who plays Jerry Schilling, is here along with Dacre Montgomery, who plays Steve Binder. Olivia is sitting between the two of them, and to my surprise, Tom Hanks is also at the table. I’ve been around plenty of stars and have met just as many, including Roger Taylor and Brian May, but Tom Hanks is something else entirely. I haven’t gotten the pleasure to come across him on set yet.
“Everyone, this is Roman Todd. I’m sure you’ve noticed her already,” Olivia stands up and introduces everyone to me.
The three men stand up to shake my hand, and they’re all smiles. Olivia offers to grab my drink from the bar whileI settle in.
“It’s an honor to meet all of you, I love everyone’s work,” I say, taking a seat.
“We love your work so far, young lady,” Tom comments, taking a sip of his drink.
A blush rises to my cheeks, “Thank you, that means a lot. What I do isn’t much, but-”
“Your work is essential,” Dacre interjects, “Without extras, there’s not a crowd at a show or people waiting outside Graceland. You help make the movie.”
“Not to mention how you did in your close-up for the scene at Russwood. That was impressive,” Olivia points out as she sits my drink down, “Even Baz was shocked at how well you captured your own response, even if it wasn’t exactly scripted that way. He loves changing things up.”
“Have you ever considered an acting career outside of being an extra, Roman?” Dacre asks around his drink.
I stare into my vodka as the dreaded question comes my way for the umpteenth time.
“Not really. I’m comfortable where I am. I don’t really enjoy the spotlight,” I laugh nervously under everyone’s gaze, “Being an extra is what I’ve always done. People still notice my presence, just not as much as they would if I were an actress, and that’s enough for me.”
Everyone at the table nods understandingly.
“Being in the spotlight is certainly not for everyone,” Tom pipes up, and there are murmurs of agreement from everyone at the table.
“What’s your favorite movie or show you’ve done so far?” Luke asks.
“My absolute favorite so far is Bohemian Rhapsody. Elvis is becoming a close contender, even if we just started filming,” I say, thinking back to the fond memories of filming with such great actors.
“Oh, there you are!” Olivia gets up from her seat to greet someone behind me, “I was starting to think you weren’t showing.”
She’s hugging someone, I’m not sure who, until she lets go of them. My blood runs cold.
“Just had to get across town in this traffic,” Austin laughs, flicking some hair out of his face.
I turn back to my drink and down it in one go.
“Jesus, Roman, are you good?” Dacre chuckles at my sudden change in demeanor.
“Yep,” I say, popping the ‘p,’ “I just really love vodka,” I wink.
“Roman, this is Austin. But you’ve already met him, right?” Olivia ushers him over to me.
“Not really,” I frown, standing up from my seat, “But we did somewhat talk earlier on set. It’s nice to actually meet you,” I fight back a grimace as I hold out my hand for him to shake.
There’s an annoyed look in Austin’s eyes as he takes my hand and shakes it reluctantly, “Yes, it’s nice to see you again.”
It feels like ages that he’s been shaking my hand, and an awkward silence begins forming at the table at our interaction. I clear my throat, “I’m going to get another drink. Does anyone need another?”
Dacre stands up, “I do. I’ll come with.”
I inwardly cringe. I was hoping no one would tag along, but Dacre seems cool.
“So,” Dacre drawls, “Are you sure you’ve never met Austin before?” he leans against the bar.
Ignoring his question, I tell the bartender my drink and motion for Dacre to let him know his.
As soon as the bartender walks off, I inhale sharply, “I’m sure. He looks like he’d be recognizable.”
Dacre scoffs, “Well, I was just wondering because when he walked up, it looked like you had seen a ghost.”
I stare blankly at him, “Are you sure you aren’t imagining things?”
“It was just a question,” Dacre says, putting his hands up defensively before taking his drink from the bar, “Ready to head back to your ghost?”
I make eye contact with Dacre and decide that he absolutely knows Austin and I know each other, “Don’t say anything,” I mumble, “Please.”
He nods solemnly. I knew that he had to have known. The two of us head back to the table. Austin has taken the empty seat next to mine, much to my dismay. When Dacre and I return to the table, his face is unreadable. I almost want to say it looks like jealousy, but Austin has nothing to be jealous of. I brush it off and take my seat.
“So,” Austin says, “What were you guys talking about before I got here?”
“We were asking Roman about her career as an extra,” Luke says with a smile.
“Yeah, she was just talking about how she was in Bohemian Rhapsody,” Olivia wiggles her eyebrows.
“Oh, really?” Austin asks, sounding a little shocked.
“Yeah, I was talking about it’s my favorite movie I’ve worked on so far. Elvis is starting to become close to being my favorite, though,” I say, stirring my drink and not really making eye contact.
“What would make it your favorite?” Tom asks, eyebrows raised.
I hum, “The cast and crew are what make the movie for me, and so far, you guys are really making it hard to choose,” I chuckle.
A comfortable silence falls over the table until Austin asks, “What else do you do when you aren’t being an extra, Roman?”
Hearing my name fall from his lips again sends chills up my spine, but I ignore them, “I write. Mostly fiction.”
“Interesting. Anything published?” Austin questions.
The urge to make him shut up is becoming very strong. He knows I was working on a book before we broke up, but because of said break up, I haven’t had the inspiration to write anymore. But he doesn’t know that, at least. But I worry his questions will become more personal and telling.
I clear my throat, glancing up at everyone waiting expectantly for my response, “Not yet. I was working on something, but um,” I lick my lips nervously, “I just lost inspiration.”
Austin goes quiet at my answer, nodding in understanding, “I’m gonna go get a drink.”
I almost sigh in relief at him being gone.
“So, what do you think of Austin so far?” Dacre asks.
I bore my eyes into him, “He’s alright. I haven’t really warmed up to him yet,” I shrug, not breaking eye contact.
“He’s a great guy when you get to know him,” Olivia says, “One of the best people I’ve met.”
A pang of nostalgia hits me in the chest at knowing who Austin was before this. He absolutely hasn’t changed in some ways, but I’m sure he has in others.
The rest of the night is spent with everyone talking about their former roles and how much fun they had with them. Every now and then, I’d mention some other shows and movies I’ve been in, much to everyone’s genuine enjoyment. Austin seemed pensive whenever I brought up my past, but he played along with not knowing anything.
The group is laughing at something Luke said when Tom says, “I must be going everyone, early morning tomorrow.”
“You’re absolutely right,” Olivia gasps upon looking at her watch at the time.
It was nearing midnight already.
“Well, thanks for inviting me out tonight, Olivia. I really enjoyed it,” I smile, sliding off my chair and grabbing my jacket before giving her a hug.
“It’s no problem. Feel free to join us any time,” she says, hugging back.
I shake the hands of Luke and Tom again, and Dacre just nods a goodbye instead. The group leaves Austin and me, both of us not knowing how to acknowledge each other.
“I guess I should get going,” I begin to say, but Austin is also saying it simultaneously. We laugh awkwardly, and I scratch my neck before sticking out my hand.
“It was nice to meet you, Austin.”
With a small, defeated exhale, Austin takes my hand and shakes it, “It was nice to meet you too, Roman.”

Warnings: depictions of intoxication, thoughts of infidelity, mild swearing
Masterlist | Ask/Tell/Request
A/N: i had this song stuck in my head and the more i thought about the lyrics, the more i realized it fits austin perfectly. i came up with this idea quite literally right after that, i love it and thought it turned out pretty cute. also i know kacey musgraves covered can't help falling in love, but for the sake of the fic she covered another one or just wasn't on the soundtrack in general lmao. lastly, reader is dating calvin harris in this (iykyk) but if that makes you uncomfy you can imagine someone else! anyways, i hope you enjoy and lmk what you think! :)
To say you were having a good time tonight would be an understatement. You've probably only been here for a few hours, but with the amount of drinks you've already had, it was enough for a whole night, maybe more.
You weren't really trying to get drunk, but who were you to turn down drinks from fellow friends who are also very much enjoying themselves at this party?
The point of tonight is all about acquainting yourself with fellow musicians performing on the new Elvis movie soundtrack. Practically everyone who is on the soundtrack is here, and then of course the actors and actresses from the actual movie.
When you were reached out to about being on the soundtrack, it felt like a dream come true. It really hit you when they asked if you'd like to cover Can't Help Falling in Love. It's truly such an honor to get to record a song that means so much to so many people. It was nerve-wracking, but you adore how it turned out and hope the fans will feel the same when they hear it in the film and on the soundtrack.
Taking a look around, you admire all of the other musicians you've gotten to know. Baz did such a great job in creating a modernized and diverse group that can translate Elvis' music to today's generation. It's so insane to you how you were given this opportunity and you'll forever be grateful for it.
Shaking your head a little in disbelief at it all, you turn your attention back to the people at your table. You've been moving around all night, whether it be from table to table or on the small dance floor. You've spoken to everyone here. Well, almost everyone.
There's quite literally only one person here that you haven't spoken a word to yet, and that's none other than Austin Butler, Elvis Presley himself.
It isn't that you don't want to talk to him, it's just you're not sure you'd be able to have a conversation with him. You've never met Austin in person but from all the pictures and clips you've seen of him, you just know that man will make you so nervous. He seems so flirty and you can tell he knows what he's doing when he gives people that look. It's infuriating but also captivating and you kick yourself every time you find yourself flustered over him. Get it together, you'd think, you've never even met the guy in person.
When you found out this party would be happening, you promised yourself you'd work up the courage to talk to him. You'd introduce yourself, have a quick conversation, realize he's just like any other guy, and then he'd be out of your system.
The liquid courage you've downed since the moment you got here was supposed to help, but so far you still haven't sought Austin out, and you're not sure you will. You're drunk, but it still doesn't change the fact even just the thought of him makes you giddy. Curse his good looks and seemingly charming personality.
"Hey, Y/N, some of us are gonna go hit the dance floor again. You wanna come with?" Olivia DeJonge, actress for Priscilla Presley, asks as she begins to get up from the table.
"Maybe in a bit, I'm gonna go to the bar and get some water, I've definitely had one too many tonight," you giggle and Olivia nods her head, knowing exactly what you mean.
"Okay, come find us when you want, we'll probably be out there for a while, gonna burn off our alcohol with our moves." The two of you laugh and you shake your head before getting up from the table as well, making your way to the bar while Olivia follows everyone else to the dance floor.
Leaning against the bar, you ask the bar tender for some water and wait while he gets it for you. A new song starts playing and you hum along to it while the bar tender hands you the glass. Taking a sip, it feels refreshing and you can tell how much you needed it. You can feel the hangover you're gonna have in the morning, but at least you feel good and are enjoying yourself right now, that's really all that matters.
"Uh 'scuse me, can I get a whiskey on ice please?" The sound of the voice coming from your right side nearly makes you spit out your water. It's so southern and sounds so wrong coming from someone who's in a bar in the middle of Los Angeles. You can't help the fit of giggles that escapes your lips.
Turning to look at whoever it is next to you, your laughing abruptly stops when you realize exactly who it is. It makes complete sense and yet you wince at the fact you didn't connect the dots instantly over who at this party would be talking like that. It's Austin, of course.
He's looking at you with an amused expression on his face and damn did those pictures not do him justice one bit. Words cannot describe how ethereal he looks in person. "You makin' fun of the way I talk, darlin'?"
You swear to God you'll never drink again because even though nothing is funny at this moment, your current state of overactive giddiness causes you to simultaneously laugh again on the outside and melt on the inside over his use of the word 'darlin''.
Clearing your throat to try and cover it up, you shake your head and begin to reply. "Definitely not, I think your accent is just what a town like this needs. Screw the valley girl standard, southern is in."
Austin lets out a low laugh and hangs his head before looking back up at you. His eyes are so incredibly blue, you're surprised you can even tell considering how dark it is in here, but you guess they're just that bright. The flustered feeling doesn't seem to be going away like you hoped. Oh boy.
"I don't think we've met yet." The bar tender places Austin's drink down in front of him and he takes it, immediately sipping from the glass. You can't help but stare as he runs his tongue across his bottom lip as he sets the drink back down. "I'm Austin."
You fight the urge to say 'I know' because how could you not? He was everywhere lately, including your mind when you know he shouldn't be, especially with having a boyfriend and all that. You're sure he's at yet another club doing who knows what, but the fact you have a boyfriend still stands, even though you have a feeling it's not gonna last much longer.
"I'm Y/N, it's nice to finally meet you." You give Austin a smile and you pray it doesn't look stupid. You're feeling a little lightheaded and you're not sure if it's the alcohol or the proximity of the blonde in front of you, probably both if you're being honest.
"Likewise," he replies, his eyes flicking up and down your body in a swift movement. Your grip on the bar counter immediately intensifies.
A moment passes, Austin's eyes locked on yours, it's silent between you both but it isn't uncomfortable. You're not sure what it is about him, but there's this force making you want to be closer to him. It's practically magnetic the way your body wants to inch towards him.
Austin's the first to break the silence. "So, you gonna be at Cannes next week? I heard they wanted you to perform at the after party." You blink a few times, trying to snap out of the trance you've found yourself in and get your thoughts together.
"Yep, I'll be there. I couldn't possibly miss the premiere of your movie now could I?" Austin takes his bottom lip in between his teeth and the sight alone makes you weak in the knees.
"No, you can't," he drawls. There's literally no explaining exactly what's happening right now. This is the very first time you've ever spoken to Austin Butler, and yet here the two of you are flirting as if it's the norm for you.
Taking a breath, you grab your glass of water and take a long gulp. You're not sure what else to say to the blonde in front of you. His stare, that stare, is so intense and makes you feel things you should not be feeling.
Letting your eyes flick over Austin's face, you take in all the small details. The shape of his jaw, the small smirk on his lips, the crinkles by his eyes that seem to somehow sparkle when the light hits them just right.
Jesus you need to get away from this man right now.
Thankfully, Olivia appears at your side and she's gripping your arm, pulling your attention away from Austin's intoxicating aura.
"There you are! I changed my mind, I definitely need some of that water you were talking about earlier!" Olivia laughs and you do so as well, grateful for the out. Your nerves and alcohol are beginning to catch up with you and being left alone with Austin for any longer may just end up with you making fun of him again, or worse. "I see you met Mr. Butler here. Austin you better be treating my girl right."
Running his fingers along his jaw and holding his chin, Austin replies, "Oh I think we're gettin' on quite well."
That's it, time to go.
Looking anywhere but at Austin, you quickly rush out, "Well I better get out there while the night is still young! Nice to meet you, Austin. Olivia I'll be waiting for you!" You flash a quick smile, more so looking at Olivia, and then race away from the bar and Austin's infuriating effect on you.
****
The night went on smoothly after your encounter with Austin. Olivia did in fact end up joining you on the dance floor and you allowed the music to help ease away your tension and flustered state. For a while you were mentally cursing yourself for letting Austin root deeper in your mind and make you feel all out of sorts. This man was ruining your life and he didn't even realize it.
You're back at a table now, actually feeling like it's getting time for you to go home. You have a studio session tomorrow afternoon and you'd rather not be completely hungover when you get there.
Packing up what little stuff you brought with you tonight, you begin to say your goodbyes to the people around you. Majority give you hugs and promises of meeting up soon, others shake your hand and tell you they were happy to meet you.
It's the home stretch now. You got through the rest of the evening without having to talk to Austin again. You caught his eye a few more times, but always made a point to engage in conversation with someone else before he came over. You're not sure how considering this place isn't very big and he could've interjected at any moment, but who cares you did it! The exit is literally right in front of you, just a few more-
"Leavin' so soon, sweetheart?" You stop dead in your tracks. No need to question who that voice belongs to this time. Dammit.
"Uh, yeah. I have some work to do tomorrow, so I gotta get home and get ahead of this hangover!" You laugh lightly, and slightly wince because what?, and then spin around to face Austin. You may not be able to handle talking to him well, but the least you can do is face him when he's speaking to you.
Maybe moving so fast to look at him was a bad idea because next thing you know you're stumbling a little and suddenly Austin has his hand on yours to steady you.
The room is still incredibly dark so thankfully Austin can't see the way your face heats up at the contact of his skin on yours. Doesn't he realize his actions have consequences? There's no way you're getting over him any time soon now, and you barely know the guy.
"Well I guess I'll see you in Cannes then. Have a good night, Y/N." Austin nods his head and gives you a smile and it's in this precise moment you realize you're utterly done for.
*****
"Wait so what happened again? You're telling me the first interaction you had with him was making fun of the way he talks?" Stephanie, one of your best friends and fellow songwriters, says before laughing and shaking her head at how ridiculous the situation sounds.
You groan and cover your face with your hands. "Don't laugh! It's not funny, it's actually kind of embarrassing. I shouldn't have let myself get drunk like that, let alone talk to Austin Butler while drunk."
"Girl, don't even worry. If anything he should take it as a compliment! Don't people say if someone teases you that means they have a crush on you?" Tilting your head you contemplate that idea, you have heard that before. "But then again I'm pretty sure that's just for elementary school situations."
"Steph!" Pouting, you fall back onto the couch in the studio. You're supposed to be writing new songs for your upcoming album, but it's turned into more of a therapy session with your best friend than a music one. "I don't even know how to describe it. It's like I can't say anything to his face. We flirted for a second but it was nothing compared to the way I would essentially freeze up trying to think of something to say to him. I literally tried to avoid him the whole night. He's just so...so-ugh, gorgeous!"
"Y/N, you are so down bad for this man," Stephanie says while getting up to come sit next to you on the couch. You sigh and sit up, meeting her gaze.
"I know! I just wish there was a way I could explain it to him. I know it's just a dumb little crush and nothing could happen considering I'm with Calvin right now but still."
"Why don't you explain it to him then? If you can't talk to him, why don't you sing it! You can write a song about last night and perform it during your set at the Cannes after party!"
"What? Are you being serious right now?" You shake your head at the idea. No way, that would be crazy, right?
"I am! C'mon, Y/N, singing and songwriting is your calling, it's what you do best. It's the best way for you to get your feelings across without actually having to talk to the guy. And don't even worry about Calvin, half the time he can't even be bothered to check in on you, you deserve way better! Besides, it's just a song, it's not like you're asking Austin out."
You take a moment to mull over the idea. Stephanie has a point, there's really no harm in it and it'll allow you to put your feelings into words. You're sure you can get your manager to convince the after party hosts to let you switch out one of your radio hits for a new song instead. It's not the worst idea...
"Okay, let's do it!" Stephanie claps her hands and reaches towards the table in front of you, grabbing both your notebooks and handing you yours.
"Alright, let's start from the beginning. Tell me everything that happened, even the small details, and we can work off that." You nod your head and open to a blank page in your writing journal.
"Obviously first thing's first, I was drunk and I made fun of the way he talked because of his Elvis accent." You cringe at the memory but then shake it off. He had laughed at the joke you made afterwards so clearly it's fine. "Ooo also I remember he ordered a whiskey on ice, that's how I heard him talk in the first place. When we were standing there I just kept looking at his face too, I noticed how blue his eyes were. I swear it was like looking at the ocean, felt like I could sink and drown and die in them." Stephanie smiles at you and you feel a faint blush on your face.
"Keep going, this is cute, I love it."
"Okay, um, we were on Sunset and Vine at this secret bar you have to walk through a restaurant to get to. I don't know if the street matters but it's something. Another thing, when we were talking I just remember feeling this, like, magnetic pull towards him. He has this aura about him that's so addicting. It's infuriating how attracted to him I am, it's like he makes me happy but also sad because I can't have him, you know?"
Stephanie nods her head, she knows first hand what that feels like and she'd never judge you for it. She knows how hard it can be to admit your true feelings, and she's always been here for you every time you needed someone to talk about them with, just like you are for her.
"When we were talking earlier you said you saw him again on your way out, did anything happen then?"
"Oh God, yeah I forgot to tell you! Steph he grabbed my hand and when I tell you I nearly died at the contact! To be fair he only did it because I almost fell but still." Stephanie laughs and you join in with her before suddenly something dawns on you. "Wait! Oh my God, do you think he has a girlfriend? Why didn't I think of that! I was sat there flirting with him and giving him goo goo eyes and all the while he could have a girl at home waiting for him."
"Hey, that's on him if he does because from what I can tell he was flirting back! Besides I don't think he does. I know he was rumored to be with Kaia Gerber but I haven't seen anything about them in months. As far as I know he's single."
"Ugh, well if he does have one, I'm jealous of her. But if he's single that's honestly worse because the only thing between us is Calvin then."
"Please, he barely counts. You should break up with him, you know you're not happy with him. No matter what, Austin or not, you deserve someone who will treat you better and actually be there for you." You smile at Stephanie and reach over to squeeze her hand. How'd you get so lucky to have a friend like her?
"You're right, I should break up with him soon. It's almost like we've split anyways, we barely talk anymore. Maybe I'll do it and get drunk again after and then just stumble on home to my cats, alone."
"Y/N, you don't even own any cats, what in the hell are you talking about?" The both of you bust out laughing and you nearly fall off the couch because of it.
"Okay, yeah, but I could. Unless Austin wants to come along home with me instead." A fit of giggles erupts from your lips again and Steph wheezes and then shakes her head while she writes notes down.
"Babe, I can't with you right now. C'mon, we've got work to do."
*****
Tonight was the night you’d been waiting for for over a week. It’s Cannes night which means you’d be seeing Elvis for the very first time with a theater full of people, and then performing your cover of Can’t Help Falling in Love at the after party, including the new song you wrote about Austin.
For an instant you’re more scared to perform your new song than you are about the cover. You can’t tell if that’s good or bad.
The movie is already well over, now you’re backstage getting ready for your turn to perform. To say you were blown away by Austin’s performance would be an understatement. There were so many moments where you were watching and for a split second swore it was Elvis Presley himself up on that screen. You can tell the time and dedication Austin put into the role and you can only imagine how proud Elvis’ family is.
On a less serious note, the film did nothing but add fuel to the already blazing fire that is your crush on Austin Butler. The way he looked, the way he sang, the way he moved! Indescribable. You definitely had to take several moments to collect yourself while sitting in that theater.
Right now Mäneskin is performing and once they’re done you’ll be up next. You’ll be performing three songs; Can’t Help Falling in Love, one of your recent hits, and then your new song. You were so grateful to your manager for convincing the hosts to let you perform a new, unreleased track. To be honest you’re surprised you even had the song ready to go. Usually it takes a few weeks to get down the lyrics and then the instrumental parts, but with this song it just seemed to come so naturally.
You and Stephanie had stayed well into the night that day at the studio, finishing the lyrics within a couple hours and then going straight into the actual music part of it. You’re so proud of the song and think it came out great. It’s catchy and funny but also says everything you wanted to and you hope the message will be clear.
“Y/N, you’re up in sixty seconds!” A stage manager says, breaking you away from your thoughts. You nod your head and thank him before turning to the girl helping you set up your in-ears and audio pack.
All good to go! Good luck out there,” she says, giving you a warm smile.
“Thank you, I appreciate that.” You smile back at her and then make your way to the side of the stage. The band is thanking the crowd and then they’re passing by you right after. You exchange greetings and you compliment them before you turn to step out on stage.
Breathing in deep, you physically shake out your usual pre-show jitters. No matter what happens you’re gonna go out there and have a good time. You’re in Cannes, at a premiere for a movie on one of music’s most iconic artists. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Stepping out on stage, you smile and get ready to take it all in.
Here we go.
*****
“This last song I have for you guys is actually a new one I just wrote with one of my best friends.” The crowd lets out some enthusiastic hollers and you grin at the sound. “We wrote it after I met a certain someone a little over a week ago. I won’t say too much more than that, but hopefully you’ll get the gist when I’m done. This is ‘Gorgeous’.”
Your band begins the opening notes and you feel the rush of adrenaline that courses through your veins. Performing is one of your most favorite things to do, it never gets old.
“You should take it as a compliment that I got drunk and made fun of the way you talk.” The opening line already gets the crowd excited, a bunch of your fellow singers cheering you on. Your eyes scan the crowd, it takes only a second or two to find those blue eyes you can’t stop thinking about. Based off the smirk on his face you can tell he already knows this song is about him. Good.
“You should think about the consequence of your magnetic field being a little too strong. And I got a boyfriend he’s older than us. He’s in the club doing I don’t know what. You’re so cool, it makes me hate you so much.”
This song is even better to perform live than you thought, you can feel the beat rumbling the floor beneath you and you’re feeding off the insane energy the crowd is giving you. You couldn’t ask for a better response.
“Whiskey on ice, Sunset and Vine. You’ve ruined my life by not being mine.” You grab the microphone off the stand, really getting into the song. “You’re so gorgeous. I can’t say anything to your face. ‘Cause look at your face. And I’m so furious at you for making me feel this way. But, what can I say? You’re gorgeous.”
With every lyric you’re moving a part of your body, whether it be swaying to the beat or using your hands to exaggerate what you’re saying. It’s a blast and it’s even better seeing the way Austin’s reacting to it.
You continue to make your way through the song, feeling lighter the closer you get to the end. Stephanie was right, writing about and then singing your feelings was the best thing you could’ve done.
“You make me so happy, it turns back to sad, yeah there’s nothing I hate more than what I can’t have. You are so gorgeous it makes me so mad. You’re gorgeous.” You finish the song and can’t help the huge smile on your face as you take in all the cheers and clapping that surrounds you.
“Thank you so much, it’s been an honor to perform here tonight! I love you, thank you!” Taking a bow with your band, you blow kisses at all your friends and fellow attendees before making your way off stage.
Immediately, you’re met with crew to help you out of your audio pack and in-ears. People around you give you compliments and you thank them all, feeling so appreciative, before heading back out to the party.
When you reach the dance floor, you see a bunch of your friends waiting for you. They shower you with love and rave over your new song. You assure them it’ll be out at midnight tonight and they all lose it over that. You’re so grateful to have such supportive people around you, it’s such a wonderful feeling to know people believe in you and your work.
After a few minutes of chatter about other performances, and of course the Elvis movie, you excuse yourself to go get a drink. You don’t make it very far before you’re met with a familiar blonde blocking your path.
"That was some song you performed up there," Austin says, standing with his hands in his pockets. You give him a once over, per usual he looks incredible tonight. Black suit with a bowtie to match, black leather shoes, the prettiest blue flower pinned to his suit pocket, and his hair styled to perfection. Once again, gorgeous.
"Yeah? Did you like it?" Tilting your head to the side, you feign innocence.
"Like it? I loved it." Austin steps closer to you, allowing you to get wrapped up in that magnetic aura again. "It actually reminded me of somethin' that happened to me just last week."
"Oh really? That's so interesting, I can't believe we shared a similar experience within the same timeframe." You widen your eyes in 'disbelief' and then bite down on your bottom lip to try and prevent the smile that wants to peak through.
Austin lets out a laugh and shifts a little before looking down at you and into your eyes. "Well, I'd love to share another one with you sometime. Maybe you'll actually be able to say somethin' to my face."
Your flush a little at the actor's comment. Oh, he's good.
It's takes everything in you to not break the eye contact, to not lose the confidence you gained from performing. Shaking your head you say, "Hey, mister, who said the song was about you in the first place? I could've been singing about the bar tender for all you know."
"Somethin' tells me that's not the case, but whatever you say, darlin." Austin leans in a little closer to you and you fight the urge to take his lips between yours. You definitely needed to meet up with Calvin and end things asap. "I'll see you back in LA then?"
Humming, you take a step back from Austin and make your way around him. He turns to face you and as you start to make your way towards the bar again you say, "We'll see about that...,gorgeous."
The last thing you see as you look over your shoulder is Austin smirking and running his fingers over his lips, his ocean eyes raking up and down your body as you walk away.
You can't wait to get back to Los Angeles.

Elvis Masterlist
Just to be clear, I write Elvis at all ages of the film. 50s, 60s and 70s. And I only write for Baz’s version of Elvis and Priscilla, not the real people. I’m really disappointed I couldn’t find any gifs of Olivia Dejonge’s Priscilla Presley, I wish I could make my own gifs.

You’ve come to terms with one thing: Olivia DeJonge can kiss your ass.
She just has a way of getting under your skin.
Maybe it was her annoyingly chipper voice that raised twenty octaves when she was in your vicinity, or the looks she threw your way that could kill you if they were weapons. The way her presence could put put you in a bad mood within seconds. You two had always ran in the same friend group, but for some inconspicuous reason, could never see eye-to-eye.
While aimlessly browsing over the pages of your favorite book, you swirl the dark crimson wine in your glass. The cheese board you were previously nibbling on is now down to its final few pieces, with a knife set next to it. Your cozy home is filled with white noise as the rain patters against the glass and thunder claps softly in the distance. All you wanted to do was read and drink after a difficult week that included your boss running amok in your office and irrationally suggesting that you take on more projects.
The rap of knuckles on your door makes that plan seem a little more distant.
With a roll of your eyes and a slam of your novel against your wooden table, you shuffle into your slippers and make your way to your front door, swinging it open as you bury homicidal urges. Those urges become even more prominent when you see Olivia DeJonge on your doorstep, drenched in rain and staring at you like a deer in headlights.
“What the fuck?” Is the first and only thing that blurts out of your mouth. Your disdain is painted all over your face.
She blinks twice, “Uh, I was out, uh, drinking, needed a place to dry off.”
You snort, “So go home then.”
She wraps her arms around her body, a shiver coursing through her body. Her eyes are more telling than her facial features, and there’s an angel on your shoulder that’s feeding you guilt. “I-I can’t, I’m a little drunk if you couldn’t tell.”
You really couldn’t tell, because she stands on your porch clear as day, not a figment of your imagination surprisingly. She doesn’t look disheveled, just a little like a wet, helpless dog. In the name of civility, you open the door an inch more. “Bathrooms to the left. Be quick.”
She scurries past you, her drenched shoulder brushing against yours. You shudder at the sensation and move away, closing the door behind her. There’s a thickness that lies in the air with her body in your home. Despite the mutual friends you share, there’s not really much else to it. Some light hatred perhaps.
You retreat back to the living room couch, a sigh escaping your lips. Loud and long-suffering. There’s barely a moment of peace before the bathroom door swings open and she’s running back out into your hallway like a murderer on the loose. “I-I lied.”
“What?” You turn your head to look at her, taking in her frazzled expression.
“I’m not, I’m not here to pee. Or dry off. Or anything like that. I just,” she pauses to hiccup, and it’s then that you realize how drunk she is. “It’s just that I can’t do this sober. And I’m here now. So…”
You raise an eyebrow, “Come on, out with it, Olivia.”
Fiddling with her thumbs, she fixates her eyes on your carpeted floors. Floors that she’s staining with her damp shoes. You’ll Venmo request her for the cleaning fee later. “It’s just that I know you hate me. And I kinda hate you too. In some weird way. I just… I just hate the fact that you make me feel like this.”
“What are you talking about?” You say, unable to take your eyes off her.
She glances back at you, opens her mouth like she’s about to make a bold statement. Nothing comes out, just the silence that engulfs your living room and the thunder that claps in the distance. The thickness that swallowed the room previously is now replaced with a tension that causes you to shift in your chair, wiggle around like an animal in heat. She finally speaks, “I hate the fact that I want you.”
Heart stills in your chest. Black pools your vision. There’s a moment where your lungs stop inhaling air and just sits like a motor that’s continuously revving its engine, hoping for some take. You refuse to look at her, just keep your eyes trained on your wine glass that’s half-empty.
And then you’re thinking. Thinking how she used to make fun of you, used to tease you for things that were out of your control. Thinking of how she lingered near you despite her consistent hatred. Thinking of the times she’s made eye contact with you before swiveling her head to face somewhere else. Thinking how you could have missed this.
“What?” You whisper.
“I-I’m sorry, I can just go, this is a lot,” You hear her feet shuffle across the floor, and it’s enough to stir you out of your thoughts. You stand up on your feet, limbs shaky.
“Hold on,” You swallow thickly. “You’re telling me… this whole time, you’ve treated me like shit because you had some kind of little crush on me?”
And your mind is whirling, steam-rolled and blended into nothingness. Palms sweaty, eyes incessantly blinking. Feels like time lulls and there’s glue poured between the hands of your wooden clock. How could you have missed this?
It’s just you and her. Her big brown orbs seem smaller than usual, you note.
She kicks the carpet with her shoe, “I’m sorry, this is really weird, I should go —“
“Olivia,” you say sternly. There’s a hint of aggression behind your tone that forces her eyes in your direction.
“Yes?” She squeaks.
“Why didn’t you just tell me?” You cross your arms over your shoulder, cocking your head to the side, observing her for all she is. For now, she’s a helpless girl who couldn’t outwardly put a name on her feelings towards you. There’s a tiny part of you that is attracted to her submissiveness.
“Because I don’t like you — or well, I didn’t like you. I think… think you’re a little bit of a brat. Always want it your way or the highway, always need someone there to take care of you. So I don’t really know why I feel like this, why I want you,” She seems to cut herself off before she can speak more.
You take a step forward. And maybe it’s the rainy weather, or the hovering buzz of the wine you drank earlier, that feels like there’s a magnetic pull between you two, but you ignore it all and take another step. She doesn’t back away.
“Well, for what it’s worth, I don’t like you either,” Your voice comes out as a low whisper that only she can comprehend.
“Hm?” She swallows, crossing her arms over her chest like a shield.
You take another step, only a mere few inches away from her face. You can see every freckle, every pore of her alabaster skin that glows underneath the light in your home. Her cheeks are flushed, lips parted slightly. Some animalistic part of you wants to reach out and see what those lips would feel like against your own. “What did you come over here to do, Olivia? Tell me you hate me but want me and then leave?”
Her eyes darken at the realization that there’s a possibility you might not actually be rejecting her. Her body straightens, tongue pokes out to wet her lips. “Came over here to see if there was a chance you wanted me to.”
And you’re on her within seconds. Lips meshing with a gnash of teeth, all messy and filthy and everything you could imagine it to be. It feels as though the world stops spinning on its axis, like the rain clears away. Your hands cup her warm cheeks, pull her body closer into you. She’s reaching for you too, trying to feel anything, decipher if this is real or something her drunken mind has concocted.
Somehow in the darkened room that feels unfamiliar in this context, you two tumble backwards onto the couch, a tangle of limbs hoping to feel the sensation of one another. She moans a little into the kiss, and you take the moment to feel the way her soft lips melt into your own, taste the leftover tequila on her tongue. Your spine presses into the cushion, her hand cupping your cheek.
You’re still a little shocked this is even happening.
As if she is baffled as well, she pulls away, says, “Are you sure,” she presses another kiss to your jawline. “You sure this is good?”
You roll your eyes so far they almost fall through the back of your brain, “Just shut up and kiss me, Olivia.”
Her lips meld into yours once more, and you hear the thunder clap in the far distance. She straddles you, her thighs strategically placed on either side of you. There’s a dominant side that is burning like a fire inside her, and you find yourself intrigued enough to not blow it out.
Your eyes are squeezed tight, hands wandering to feel up her curves that are accentuated in her black jeans. Her hips rut into your own crotch, and that receives an unsolicited whimper from your mouth that only fuels her more. “Jesus,” you groan into her mouth, while she takes the opportunity to nip and bite down your jawline to your neck.
Nothing about this is soft or forlorn or hopelessly romantic, and despite the cliche, you’re pleasantly surprised at her skill. Her fingers move swiftly to pull down your silk shorts, notice the pretty lace underwear that’s underneath. She doesn’t need to see anything else to know you’re soaking with the way you shake with each touch.
“Come on, get on with it,” You speak through gritted teeth. She looks back up at you, a sinister smirk a stark contrast on her face from her previous expression.
“Didn’t know you were such a fucking whore,” She sneers, resuming the pace of her hips against your aching cunt. Another soft moan exits you with no warning.
“Didn’t know you were such a bitch,” Your jaw clenches, eyes narrowing. “Oh wait, I fucking did.”
And if it weren’t for the venomous look she gave you next, or the fact that you were so eager for any form of stimulation, you wouldn’t have let her pick up the knife you had placed on your table earlier, and feel the sharp ridges against your neck. You gasp at the sensation, struggling to move away from her advances. “Olivia, what the fuck?”
Although your automatic response is fear, the butterflies in your stomach don’t go unnoticed. You haven’t been handled like this in a while, let alone by someone who’s harbored sexual tension with you for the past couple of years. She just smirks, her plump lips wet with your saliva, “Don’t pretend you don’t like it, babe.”
She drags the dull side of the knife down your throat, past the lump that you’ve swallowed and down to your breasts, encircling the hardened nipple. Your breaths are shallow, caught in your lungs and your mind is fuzzy as you try to think of something to combat her, to gain your dominance back.
But you’re all out of words when her free hand roams back down to your underwear that is now soaked with your own juices, dripping with desire and adrenaline. She’s pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to catch you in this position.
“Fuck, I don’t know how you make me feel like this,” She murmurs, mostly to herself, partially to you. You’re unable to retort, still under the hypnotic sensation of the cold metal against your burning skin. Her nimble fingers find their way to your burning core, pressing against your clitoris and anticipating the way your body jolts at the feeling.
She isn't acting gentle as she grips the back of your head, holding a few of your hair strands in her fingers. You can tell she’s having fun, despite the hostility that still lingers in the air, her exasperation, and the intense smug on her face. You wonder if maybe you have crossed the appropriate line that was drawn once before.
“Now, be a good girl for me and take whatever I give you.”
You have definitely crossed the line.

5.) “I hate Christmas shopping” / “I love Christmas shopping!”
You skipped into the kitchen, humming happily as you checked the final few things off your list.
“What’s got you so happy, sweetheart?” Austin asked from the kitchen table where he and your girlfriend were sitting.
“Oh nothing,” you smiled, “Just got all my Christmas shopping done. It feels good to check things off the to-do list. Hey, how’s your Christmas shopping going, my loves? I know you two have been busy lately,” you say, genuine sympathy in your eyes.
They very casually assure you that their Christmas shopping is mostly done, just one or two small things they need to get for their other friends, and you nod, “Well, that’s good. As long as you two remember to take some time for yourselves, please? I don’t want you stressing yourselves out just for a little holiday.”
Austin and Olivia both assure you they’re fine, and you vanish back into your room to finish wrapping presents for your family.
As soon as you’re gone, they lock eyes.
“I haven’t had time to go Christmas shopping.”
“Me neither.”
“I hate Christmas shopping!”
“I love Christmas shopping!”
“Wait, what?” They say in unison.
“How can you hate Christmas shopping?! Getting to pick out the perfect gift for someone you love, everyone around you in the holiday spirit..”
“See, Liv, you just listed the reasons I don’t like it,” Austin says with a chuckle, “There’s so much pressure to choose an absolutely perfect gift, and there’s so many people, and everyone’s stressed out, it’s just… it’s a lot.”
Olivia thinks for a moment, then it hits her. “Hey, what if we just did it together?”
“Did… what together?”
“Christmas shopping, silly! We’ll split off to get each other gifts if we need to, but we can do the rest of the shopping together, and maybe it’ll be at least a little more enjoyable for you that way?”
Austin beams at his girlfriend. “I’d love that. I can’t believe we didn’t think of that before.”
“Come on, Aus, you know I’m the one with the brains in this relationship,” Liv teases, leaning over to give him a quick peck so he knows she doesn’t mean it.
“Sweetheart, I love you, but I think we both know who actually has the brains in this relationship,” Austin laughs, already grabbing his coat.
“Y/N,” they both chorus in unison.
Austin heads down the hall as Olivia gets her coat and shoes, knocking on your door before opening it just a crack to peek inside. “Sweetheart, Liv and I are gonna head out to do some last-minute shopping, are you gonna be okay here?”
You look up from the partially wrapped box, hastily taping a corner down before turning your full attention to your boyfriend. “Oh yeah, of course! Have fun and be safe,” you remind him, coming over to the door to give him a kiss before he leaves. You poke your head out into the hall and call towards Olivia, “Have fun babe, be safe!”, making sure to blow her a kiss, too.
“We will!” she calls back, and both you and Austin can hear the smile in her voice.
“Oh, and,” you place a hand on Austin’s arm, gently stopping him as he starts to walk away, “Would you mind picking up something for dinner on the way home? I don’t feel like cooking tonight,” you ask, almost apologetically.
“Of course sweetheart,” he assures you with a nod as he heads back down the hall, “We’ll let you know when we’re on our way home!”
At the mall, Austin does okay for the most part. It’s much better with Liv there than if he was alone, but eventually all the hustle and bustle of the shoppers and the tinny Christmas carols being piped through the mall speakers start to get to him, and he starts getting antsy. He really wants to go home, but he tries to hide it when Liv decides she wants to stop by one of the candle stores to see if they can find anything after they’ve bought all the gifts they need.
They’ve only been in there for a few minutes, however, when she starts picking up on his less-than-cheery mood, and finally decides it’s time to go home.
“I’m sorry that took so long,” she says as they get in the car, gifts securely tucked away in the trunk, “But it wasn’t too bad, was it?”
Austin gives her a soft smile, “No, it wasn’t that bad. Though it was definitely just because you were there.”
“Well, I’m happy I could be of service,” she teases.
On the way home they stop at your favorite restaurant and bring home a veritable feast — Christmas shopping apparently works up an appetite.
Gifts securely hidden away, they spend the rest of that night cuddling with you on the couch, eating dinner and watching all the cheesy Christmas movies you want.
17.) Ice Skating 🥰
“How are you so good at this?” Austin said, exchanging surprised glances with Olivia as they took in the way you glided across the ice like it was nothing.
Sure, you had sounded incredibly excited when you suggested an ice skating date that weekend, but neither of your partners had expected… this.
“I dunno,” you shrugged, facing them with a grin as you turned smoothly into a backwards glide on the less crowded portion of the rink. “I grew up with ice skating lessons and went to open skate at the rink back home pretty much every weekend when I was a kid. Guess some of it just stuck with me.”
Slowing down, you moved so you were skating alongside your partners, assessing how they were doing so far. Olivia was doing fairly well, she was confident enough to move away from the wall lining the ice a bit, but Austin… sweet California born-and-raised Austin was struggling, clinging to the wall for support, though he was clearly trying to make it seem like he was against the wall on purpose.
Exchanging amused glances with your girlfriend, you moved so you were skating between them, linking hands so both of them had support from you.
“Don’t worry, we’ve got you Aus,” you teased gently, adding a squeeze of your hand so he knew you were being genuine, that you would be there if he needed you.
“Thank you, sweetheart, I appreciate it,” he laughed, returning the squeeze, which soon turned into a chain of hand squeezes between the three of you as you tried to tease each other while keeping your balance, eventually ending with the three of you collapsing into giggles as you glided aimlessly along the wall.
Soon, though, you could sense that both Austin and Olivia were getting tired, and you suggested stopping for the day and grabbing some hot chocolate at the stand nearby to warm up. They took your suggestion gratefully, and you soon found yourself squashed between them on a bench just outside the rink, each of you holding a cup of steaming hot chocolate.
“This was fun, baby,” Olivia said, tucking a stray wisp of hair back into your hat from where it had escaped, “Thank you for suggesting it.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” you smiled, leaning to rest your head oh her shoulder, her faux-fur lined hood proving a more than satisfactory pillow.
Your head shot right back up, however, as you perked up seeing the Zamboni come out to clean up the ice. You were hit with a sudden longing to get back out onto the rink. It had been so long since you’d skated on glass-smooth ice…
Your excitement isn’t lost on your partners, as Austin nudges your shoulder with a knowing smile.
“Go on, get back out there. I know you want to.”
You turn to see Olivia giving you a grin matching Austin’s, and she takes your hot chocolate from your hands gently. “Go ahead sweetheart, give us a show,” she teases gently.
You feel your face heat up, a sweet, warm feeling that has nothing to do with the hot chocolate spreading throughout your body as you realize just how easily your partners can read you.
“Fine, fine, if you insist,” you playfully sigh, quickly slipping back into your skates and making your way back to the ice.
It’s late, and everyone else seems to have left for the evening. It’s just the three of you left as you step onto the ice and begin to glide, unable to stop a smile spreading across your face at how your movements are that much smoother and cleaner on recently swept ice. You feel Austin and Olivia’s eyes on you, and you let out a laugh as you hear them whooping and cheering for you as if you’re an Olympic skater. You warm up with a few laps around the rink, playfully blowing kisses to them every time you pass.
You decide to show off for them a little by doing a few of the jumps you remember from when you were younger, and though you don’t quite stick the landing on all of them, you know Austin and a Olivia are incredibly impressed, if their dropped jaws are anything to go off of.
Eventually you come off the ice, beaming, a rosy glow in your cheeks.
Your partners come to meet you, Olivia still holding your abandoned hot chocolate.
“So that was…” Austin begins, somewhat speechless.
“Incredible!” Olivia shrieks as you untie your rented skates and slip back into your winter boots. “Babe, how come you never told us you could do that?”
You shrug shyly, “I guess it just never came up?”
“Well we definitely need to go ice skating more often,” Austin says, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you close as you make your way back to the car, “Especially if we’re gonna get a show like that every time.”
You feel your face heat up even more as the two of them shower you with praise, and you decide to turn the attention back to them.
“Well I’m just glad I got to spend today with my two favorite people in the world,” you say, squeezing their hands clasped in yours, “I love you guys.”
“We love you, too,” they murmur, and as snow begins to fall on a moonlit winter night, you pull each of them in for a sweet kiss, joy filling your chest with warmth.

I've decided to start writing again for the first time in a year. After what happened yesterday between Austin and me, I needed to get out some pent-up emotion about the entire situation. From before the breakup to during and after the breakup until today, there have been many different feelings towards Austin and our relationship. I don't hate him- I never did. But there's still anger and resentment towards him, and even hostility because I feel he's solely responsible for our seperation. However, there's also a deep sadness for what could've been and how easily things just ended. Our relationship went out like a quiet flame. There's a touch of relief, though, because I can be who I want and not worry about someone breathing down my neck and shoving possible roles in my face at any given time. But Austin did apologize, and deep down, I think he didn't truly mean his words. He was just upset and emotional, which sometimes makes us do and say stupid things. For example, me acting like I had no idea who Austin was upon seeing him for the first time in a year. I regret it now, just as Austin regrets what he said, but it has provided an opportunity for us to at least be friends again. And what's a better way to start over than not knowing who someone is?
I'm deep in thought with my fingers flying across the keyboard. I almost miss the buzzing of my phone next to me.
Get together at my place at 6. You in?
It's a text from Austin. I find it odd that he thought to invite me to a gathering, but he agreed to try to be friends again. As much as I want to not go, I find myself getting a little giddy to see my new friends again, and maybe Austin as well.
Sure. Do I need to bring anything?
Nope. Everything is covered. Here's the address.
I lean back in my desk chair, letting out a deep breath. I guess I'll finish up what I'm writing and get ready. I have about two hours to do so. I planned on staying holed up in my apartment writing until I physically couldn't anymore. It's rare to get a craving to write like this, but it's also rare for everyone in the cast I'm friends with to hang out all at once. Everyone has been so busy lately. I reluctantly close my laptop and push myself up from the chair, trudging over to the closet. I decide it's best to wear something casual and comfortable, but nice too. It's pretty warm here in Australia, so I choose a cute sundress I have tucked away. It comes to my mid-thigh, so it shows enough but not too much. I'm not trying to impress anyone, but maybe make someone realize what they've been missing. I grab some simple sandals to go with the dress. I set my clothes aside and quickly shower, braiding my hair down my shoulder when I get out. I apply a little makeup and then get dressed. When I finish getting ready, I realize it's about time to leave. Grabbing my phone and a small bag, I head out the door and walk to Austin's condo, which is just a few blocks away by the beach.
When I arrive, Olivia and Luke are seated at the kitchen island while Dacre is fumbling with the record player in the corner of the living room. Tom has yet to arrive, but no one expects him to since he's so busy.
"Roman!" Olivia smiles and gets up from her seat to greet me when she notices my appearance, "I'm glad you made it!"
She envelops me into a hug which I accept, hugging her back. Luke nods at me from his seat, his hand encircling a glass of what I suspect is whiskey. No doubt it came from a bottle of Austin's. He is currently making a glass of something at the counter, which I'm curious about. I let go of Olivia, and she makes her way back to her seat as I walk over to where Austin is standing in the kitchen.
"What are you concocting over here?" I ask, eyeballing the numerous bottles on the counter.
"Take a wild guess," Austin glances at me over his shoulder, mixing the liquor together.
He hands the glass to me, and I take a whiff of it. To my surprise, it's my drink of choice; a Long Island Iced Tea. When I'm not drinking vodka, that's my go-to.
"You remembered," I raise my eyebrows, taking a sip. Austin had a talent for mixing everything perfectly every time.
"Of course I did," he whispers, winking at me before turning around to help Dacre find a vinyl to play.
"How many of these do you own?" Dacre asks exasperatedly from the living room.
I lean against the island, tasting my drink as Austin and Dacre banter back and forth.
"I thought you were more of a vodka girl," Luke jokes, motioning to my drink. He must've recalled me drinking vodka at the bar the first time we met.
"Depends on how I'm feeling. But I prefer a little bit of everything," I say.
Luke hums in acknowledgment, "I like the dark stuff. Austin has good taste," he says, inspecting the glass in his hand.
"I have to agree," Dacre says as he approaches the three of us, his eyes meeting mine.
The two men must've decided on an Elvis vinyl because I can hear him softly singing in the living room.
"Did he make you a drink too?" I ask with a chuckle.
"No, not yet. I meant Austin had great taste in everything, really. Including music and women," Dacre says casually.
I looked at him, puzzled, before collecting myself before someone saw my face.
"He was telling me about someone he dated previously," Dacre leans on the opposite side of the counter, mirroring my position.
"Ooh, who was the lucky lady, Austin?" Olivia wiggles her eyebrows.
"Ah, no one," Austin shrugs, "It's been over for a while. But I'd agree with Dacre and say my taste is pretty good, though," he smirks, glancing over at me briefly.
I down the rest of my drink in one go, much to everyone's surprise.
"That was a really good drink, Austin. Make me another one please?" I say, my eyes boring into his.
"Sure thing, sweetheart," Austin says, taking the glass from my hand and walking to the counter.
Dacre holds in a laugh while Luke silently takes a sip of his drink, almost as if he picked up on something he probably shouldn't mention. Meanwhile, Olivia looks at me like I killed a man.
"Are you okay, Roman?" she chuckles, "That was quite a bit to drink."
"Yep," I say, popping the 'p,' "Just wanting to feel good is all."
I turn around and take a few steps toward where Austin is at the counter, mixing my drink.
"Does Dacre know?" I ask quietly, looking around to ensure no one is watching our conversation. Luckily, no one is paying attention except Dacre, who is looking directly at me.
"Yes," Austin says, "But only because you told him," he purses his lips.
"I only told him because he somehow knew already," I eye him suspiciously.
Austin only makes eye contact with me for a moment before sighing, "Okay, fine, I've told him about you. He must've put the pieces together. I wasn't expecting him to make a comment."
I rub my temple, "Dammit. Thankfully Dacre isn't the type to run his mouth like that, or at least I hope so," I look over to see him chatting with Luke about something, "I feel like he would've told someone by now if he were."
Austin doesn't say anything and hands me my drink, looking me directly in the eye.
"What?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows.
"I just wish you had told the truth," he says.
I sigh, taking my drink and walking back to the island where the others are. Suddenly, there's a knock on the door. Austin strides over to the door and reveals Tom with a nice bottle of bourbon in his hands.
"Hey," Austin says, and the two of them embrace momentarily, "We thought you weren't gonna make it!"
"I got done with filming just in time today. Had a moment to stop by somewhere and pick this up," Tom smiles, holding up the bottle for everyone to see.
A string of hellos comes from the group as Tom approaches the kitchen. He sits between Luke and me on the stool as Austin grabs six glasses from the cabinet.
"Would you like to do the honors, Tom?" he asks, motioning to the bottle.
"Don't mind if I do," Tom chuckles, breaking the seal.
Everyone cheers as Austin sits the glasses down, allowing Tom to pour some bourbon into them. Luke and I are still nursing our drinks, but we still take a sip of the dark liquid. I knew immediately that I'd probably be getting drunk just off the little bit of bourbon and the rest of my current drink. I begin taking large gulps of the Long Island when no one is looking. Tonight was already starting to get weird.
"Let's head to the living room and get comfortable there," Austin suggests. Everyone nods in agreement, walking over to the living room.
I sit on one of the couches, Dacre sitting on one side of me with Olivia on the other. Austin and Luke take the other couch while Tom takes one of the accent chairs. Dacre stretches and puts an arm behind me, and Austin all but glares at him. Olivia is too busy scrolling through her phone to notice Austin's eyes burning holes into Dacre's arm behind my head. Seeing Austin jealous makes me almost want to laugh. Maybe there's something still there, especially with the earlier comment about having great taste in women. I almost wish for Austin to be jealous, as bad as that sounds. Does that mean I still have feelings towards him? I'm not sure how to answer that. Tom notices I've zoned out a little. I haven't touched my bourbon, and my eyes are fixated on Austin's shoes.
"So, Roman," Tom says, and I snap my head in his direction, "When are you gonna be back on set to film?"
"Hopefully, in the next few days," I smile, finally taking another sip of the bourbon.
"I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we've missed seeing you outside of Luke's trailer," Tom says with a chuckle.
A blush rises to my cheeks, "I'll be back soon, guys. I'm not needed outside of his trailer for now."
Austin raises an eyebrow at me, probably wondering what I'm doing in Luke's trailer. He didn't really hang out with Olivia, Luke, Dacre, and me because he had the most scenes to film out of everyone here. I never mentioned to him that we all hung out, so I can only imagine what he's thinking. But I'll let him think. Hard.
Luke must've caught a glance at Austin's face because he starts giggling from next to him, "Roman, that sounds really weird out of context."
I lift my glass up while laughing, "Get your mind out of the gutter, Lucas. You know I'm always with three other people when I hang with you."
"Yeah, but he doesn't know that," Luke nudges Austin's shoulder with his, nearly doubled over in laughter at this point.
"No more bourbon for you, Luke," I snort as I watch Austin relax, "And you, Austin, don't look so sad. We'd invite you too, but you're busy."
"Oh, I know," Austin looks down, clenching his jaw slightly, "I just didn't think you would be fucking with one of my co-stars, let alone two."
The sip of bourbon I just took almost shoots from my nose, and Olivia audibly gasps from next to me. Tom raises his eyebrows in shock while Dacre retracts his arm from behind me. Luke has a look of complete distaste on his face as he turns to Austin.
"What the hell, mate?" Luke asks, appalled that Austin would say such a thing out of nowhere.
I wasn't expecting it to come out of his mouth either. Maybe I let him think too hard. I down the rest of the bourbon without a word. The room falls silent.
"That was a dick move, man," Dacre mumbles.
I quietly get up and go to the kitchen to pour another glass of bourbon, this time all the way to the top of the glass. Just when I thought Austin had already said the rudest thing to me, he comes back with a trick up his sleeve. To assume I would sleep with even one of his coworkers was a low blow, but two? What the hell is wrong with him to think that? Also, his comment opened the door to our past that I didn't want to be opened. Now everyone is going to know we have history. I take a shaky gulp of the bourbon, not daring to turn around and acknowledge everyone in the room behind me. Suddenly, I feel a gentle hand on my upper arm. I slowly turn around, fully expecting Austin to come to say something else rude to me. But instead, it's Tom.
"Would you like to step outside with me for a moment?" he motions to the door.
"Sure," I say, not looking him in the eyes as I walk towards the entrance.
The two of us exit the condo and stand on the balcony that overlooks the ocean. Nothing is said for a few minutes as I continue to take large sips of the dark alcohol. With every gulp, my head gets fuzzier. We are leaning against the balcony edge, staring at the waves as they crash onto the shore.
"Are you okay, Roman? I know what Austin said had to have struck a nerve," Tom asks finally.
"Yeah," I breathe out, "I wasn't expecting it," I say, inspecting the now half-empty glass in my hand.
"Did something happen between you two?" Tom is now facing me as his forearms rest against the railing.
I nod wordlessly.
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
"If I tell you," I say quietly, "You have to promise to not say anything to anyone else. Dacre already knows, but no one else does on set."
"Your secret is safe with me," Tom pats his chest.
I take a deep breath and exhale slowly before answering, "Austin and I dated for five years until a year ago when I broke up with him. I've been lying about not knowing who he is. But we both agreed we'd continue to act like we didn't know each other so we could get to know each other all over again, but I guess that didn't work out."
Tom only hums in response before speaking, "I could tell there was something between you two when you looked at each other."
I finally look at Tom with complete attention, and he doesn't really have an expression on his face. Almost like he already knew. Maybe at this point, everyone does for all I know.
"How do you mean?" I asked, swirling the bourbon around in the glass a little.
"You can always tell when two people love each other by how they look at one another," Tom says, standing up straight.
"I can't say I still love him, or at least not like I used to. The reason why we broke up is that he didn't support my career. I constantly heard that my job choice wasn't good enough and that I deserved a better one because I could do it."
"Well, are you capable of it?" Tom asks.
"I don't know. But I'd rather stay out of the limelight. Besides, I'm just an extra, anyway," I say, downing the rest of the bourbon.
"Says who?" Tom furrows his eyebrows in disbelief.
"Says Austin," I say, beginning to walk back to the door.
"Prove him wrong, then," Tom says, opening the door for me, "Because you, young lady, are more than that."
I look up at Tom and nod, "Thank you."
He just smiles and closes the door behind us. The condo is silent except for the vinyl still playing. Tom and I walk into the living room to see everyone awkwardly on their phones, except Austin, who is sitting in a chair with his arms crossed. He notices I've walked in and stands up immediately.
"Roman, can I talk to you?" he grabs my elbow softly, and I yank it away.
"I'll give you five minutes," I say, trying not to slur. The alcohol began to hit me full force.
The two of us enter the kitchen, where we're out of earshot. I turn and face Austin, who looks really guilty.
"I'm sorry for saying that. I shouldn't have assumed anything or even said it out loud-"
"Sorry for saying what, Austin? I want you to repeat it back to me. And don't apologize just because you likely got scolded by everyone here," I spit, my blood running hot with drunken anger.
"I'm apologizing because I mean it. I'm sorry for saying you were fucking around with my co-stars. I'm sorry for not thinking before I speak," Austin grabs my elbow again, to which I pull it from his grasp again.
"Sorry, but I can't forgive you right now," I chuckle, everything becoming a little blurry, "For someone who is an actor, you really don't know when to not pretend, do you?"
Austin is now holding both of my arms to steady me, "Roman, what are you talking about? Here, let me take you to the guest room."
"I'm talking about you really sucking at pretending you don't still love me," I manage to get out before everything around me fades to black.
