Silent room in a chaotic world,

Where sanctuary is just a dream

hide, hide, hide, hide

From the judgmental eyes

How do you calm thunder

When clouds are watching?

Find a sanctuary,

That will calm you when no one can.

A place inside your heart

That no one can break into,

Find it, hide inside it,

Make it your sanctuary.

A sanctuary that will make you feel good

Someone else’s grapes

Off to dig a hole deep and wideenough to bury three and a half foot of railroad tieand hang warped, ripped, busted cattle-fence againstto trellis unpurchased infant grape vines not a branch, a pole, a shovelful is minenot even seconds bloomed minutes wilted leaves hours at work toward a harvest I will never taste is like gracebuilding trellises for someone else’s grapes.
