two questions: what is your personal favourite dragon to draw? Do you have a specific species or individual? And my second question is have you done any sandwraiths? I swear I remember seeing one but I can’t find ‘em while scrolling

Might be a boring answer, but I love drawing Furies the most. They have relatively simplistic designs when compared to other dragons, so they take less energy and are easier to doodle. But I also love drawing Terrible Terrors! I got pretty good at drawing them from memory, so it saves me the hassle of looking for good references

And yes, I have drawn Sand Wraiths! I did an entire family picture, since like 6 different people requested it. It's kinda old at this point and a bit lower quality than my more recent posts, but I still really like it :)

we all know how incredibly busy hiraeth has been this year.  from performing for their continuously sold-out tour to gracing multiple magazine covers,  appearing in high-profile fashion shows,  and racking up prestigious awards at major ceremonies thanks to the runaway success of their million-selling first full album,  their presence and impact has been nothing short of unstoppable—  even in the face of challenges and rumors!

and with the unreleased songs they’ve teased on tour,  such as vivae’s juno and the main vocalist’s energetic love me like this,  angels and many others have been thrilled to hear more from the group.  but as time passed,  the most exciting news of the year isn’t just the promise of their haunting concept stealing our hearts once again—  it's the individual opportunities that have emerged for each member,  setting the stage for what’s to come next year.

back in february,  the spotlight was on yvan when it was announced that they would portray this generation’s glinda in the upcoming musical film adaptation of wicked.  this news created a wave of excitement and awe,  especially among fans who have been aware of yvan’s passion for musical theatre and the aforementioned character.  having played roles such as annie,  young cosette,  and others in their youth,  yvan’s casting as glinda feels like a natural yet monumental step in their long resume as an artist.  a video shared by the film’s director showed a teary-eyed yvan expressing heartfelt gratitude when the news was revealed to them,  sobbing,  “thank you so much,  i love her so much  [...]  i promise i will take such a good care of her.”  and now,  with filming set to begin shortly after the tour wraps up,  the anticipation is only growing—  but no one will be as excited as yvan themselves,  of course!

meanwhile,  poppy’s sudden,  and upcoming re-debut as an actress has also been making quite a buzz.  earlier this year,  back in january,  she flew to los angeles for undisclosed reasons,  leaving fans and knetizens speculating as she never acknowledged any of the rumors.  fast forward to october,  and netflix officially confirmed that she will be playing sophie baek,  the female lead in the fourth season of bridgerton.  sophie,  a maid whose literal and figurative masks conceal a mysterious past,  seems like a role tailor-made for someone as enigmatic and captivating as the proclaimed miss korea.  the announcement,  accompanied by a netflix video that immediately went viral,  marks poppy’s first role since her acclaimed portrayal of jang man-wol in hotel del luna in 2022.  the main dancer acknowledged the news and the overwhelming support from angels with a lighthearted message on bubble.

today,  billboard released their interview with vivi yoo,  the manager of the angels of asia,  who shed light on what’s next for the group she helped rise to the sensation they are today.  “they’ve been in the industry for,  what,  seven years?  it’s refreshing to see them taking on new challenges and opportunities that are meant for them.   [...]   they may need to leave some space in their schedule for the group at some point during the year,  but they’re free to do whatever they’d like,  and we will support their decision to step out of the same old,”  she said.  “it’s exciting to watch [them do their own thing].  yvan’s going big screen,  poppy’s stepping into the hollywood spotlight,  and kaia will be going solo.”

the interviewer expressed surprise at the mention of kaia,  especially since she has long been known for showing no interest in going solo and has been the only member without any updates regarding her career.  vivi laughed off the flood of questions she faced,  offering no answers but casually hinting at her excitement for summer.  this playful tease left all of us speculating about what lies ahead for the group's leader as the first member going solo.

with all of this information in mind,  vivi has just hinted that hiraeth may not be venturing together as a group next year…  at least not in the way we’re used to,  though there will be a moment where they will be coming together,  apparently.  but one thing is clear:  their influence will continue to be felt everywhere—  whether on stage,  the big screen,  or through solo projects.  individually or as a group,  the angels are just getting started,  and i’m sure we’re all excited to see how next year will unfold for our angels!

Why is it that literal teenagers (ages 13-16) in this fandom are more capable of critical thinking skills and have actual decency than the adults like mf your brain is fully developed, and your still shipping minors with adults, and hating on any other character that isnt Cedric at your GROWN ASS PREHISTORIC AGE. Like girllll go pay ur bills and go to work rather than making everyone else uncomfortable. Like I have absolutely no problem with the 18+ watchers of this fandom, but if you’re gonna get called out by kids almost 10 years or more younger than you when you can’t even see what the problem is, then there is clearly something wrong with you. 😭😭🙏🙏‼️🗣️

ngl one of my favorite revival era decisions was making Jenny one of the begrudging Tugger fans. Like, I wouldn’t say she’s etcetera or even Bombalurina level interested but she’s more there for vibes, and Jellylorum is just silently judging but also “…..very well” about it, the whole time and just follows Jenny around.

Also, I like how it gives the oldies group a more varied opinion of Tugger rather then them all acting as a unit, I imagine she acted in a similar vein when Bustopher was younger and the talk of town. And Jellylorum had a “here we go again” expression on.

I'm just a big complainer and I understand these old people at work are old and I will gladly accommodate them no matter how "annoying" it is but I will not accept rudeness and mistreatment under the guise of needing accommodation. You can ask me for help, but you will not treat me as lesser because of my identity or race or financial status while doing so lol

25 #1 Hits From 25 Years 1983 R&B / Soul / Girl Groups / Pop-Soul / Disco

Seriously, it's so wild to me that just three years before Motown put out this double-LP that took 25 of their #1 hits from a 25-year period, they released another compilation with the same concept that took 20 #1 hits from a 20-year period; and almost half the tunes between these two releases don't actually overlap at all! To put this in perspective, I don't think there's another record company in America, outside of enormous major labels that have been around for many more decades and have released music across a much broader spectrum of genres, that could put together even one volume of US chart-toppers. But if a single volume consists of roughly 20 to 25 songs, then Motown would need to put out a total of two volumes and change in order to cover every #1 hit that they've ever had! They're just so head-and-shoulders above everyone else.

And while the 20-songs-in-20-years comp put a lot of its focus on the 70s, this one operates chronologically, and starts in 1961 with Motown's first ever #1, the super catchy girl group classic, "Please Mr. Postman," by The Marvelettes. It doesn't then go on to provide every single #1 from the 60s from there, but the album still spends a little less than a third of its tracklist within that decade, which was a critically important part of Motown's history that the prior compilation really seemed to gloss over.

So, again, no obscurities here whatsoever on this thing, but I think this is the most definitive document of Motown's greatest hits that I've ever come across. And if you want even more #1s, you can take this one in tandem with 20/20: Twenty #1 Hits From Twenty Years at Motown too 😊.

well to answer ur question about her not having girl friends,, well this is a riize centered fic and i'm not rlly the type to add random idols (mostly for world building lol) to the mix with my fics with specific groups bc again,, its that specific group centered so i just tend to use the people inside the specific group to be their circle of friends in fics and just divide them for yn's circle of friends vs the main lead's circle lol (and to avoid tiring myself from having to switch personalities from other groups cus as much as possible i want them to be as accurate as i possibly can) but lately ive been trying to incorporate random idols!! so hopefully in my next smau i can execute this ! its too late for btl to make her have girl friends so 😭
