John Constantine was in prison.

No, not a normal, mortal prison. Those wouldn't be able to hold him like this one does.

No, he's imprisoned in the Infinity Realm.

The warden of the establishment is Walker, someone whose blood sings Witch Hunter.

If that wasn't bad enough, with every second, it gets worse. Angels decided to interfere in a realm not in possession of their God.

Who's idea was it to go against the Infintiy Realm? Are they nuts?

"John Constantine," One of the messangers steps forward. There is no weapon in sight, yet.

"Under the scrutiny of Heaven, we were sent to retrieve you for a trial." Their voice clipped, blond hair shimmering a soft green and John is sweating buckets.

"Your deals with various demon folk and such shall be judged unter gods court and—"

A loud bang echoes through the hall, Walker's men are surrounding the beings of heaven and particular brave soul steps forward.

The lad is young, can't be older than Bat's Robin. He walks with an air of authority, white hair floating against gravity's rules and towering before the flock of messangers.

"How dare—"

The boy, the godling– growls.

He blocks their view of Constantine, staring them down.

Some of the angels fall back, wings arched and ready for a fight, weapons still not in sight however.

"I am Phantom, King of God's of the Infinity Realm." The child with a title too much for such small shoulders bear, introduces himself.

It sends the flock into mild panic. Constantine is just a bit satisfied at the change.

"Returns to your god and tell him this, every Constantine bearing the title Laughing Magician is under my protection."

For such a small stature, his voice is booming, the command thinly veiled as a threat and icicles forming around him.

"Tell him that if he ever dares to breach my territory once more, I will not hesitate to call war upon heaven."

The main angel of the flock, the one that had read out Constantines sentence, hesitated only for a moment before urging the others to leave.

Posture stiff and movements jerky.

They didn't expect to be told off like this, John muses.

He only slightly dreads when phantoms attention drifts to him finally, a light knock on the metal bars and the whole wall was gone.

"Follow me, John Constantine."

And John does.

He'll sweet talk himself out of this on the way to his doom. Like always.

The portal spat him out in his apartment in New York, if it wasn't for the protection charm, Constantine would have believed it to be a mere dream. A warning.)

Once again, no, you were not groomed by proshipping. You were groomed by someone using proshipping.

My groomer used a pairing that I already liked to desensitize me to sexual interactions, and it was a completely normal and popular pairing. To this day, I still don't like it. It's completely okay to not like or even hate those things that your groomer used against you.

It's not okay to demonize an entire group of people or lump the ideology itself in with a terrible experience that you had. Your trauma does not make you infallible.

It is not the fault of the content you were shown that you got groomed. Groomers will use anything. They are bad people. The content you were shown is neutral.

Something I'm curious about: If you go on the TMBW and search the date of your birth under "shows", what did your show look like?

I'm personally kind of fascinated by the fact the Deeply Felt Puppet Theater played at this show that happened the day was born, because later on, through Here Come The ABCs, they were a very important part of my early childhood and TMBG journey in general.

Also. Kids songs mixed in with casual swearing is a huge bonus.

I was reading the Orphic Argonautica last night and the author has mentioned the various methods of divination Apollo knows and guess what? One of them is prophesying by studying the entrails of organisms. As soon as I read that I was reminded of your headcanon of Apollo being into hepatoscopy for divination and I giggled.

Hehe, so fun fact, the overall practice of divination by studying the entrails of animals (including blood, lungs, intestines and so forth) is extispicy while hepatoscopy is specifically using the liver in prophecy and divination readings.

If, like magic in old text exactly like the sort Medea is described as using, the types of divination spoken about in the texts are reflections of the popular divination cultures of the time, I much rather prefer ascribing those to Apollo than I do some vague, somewhat mysterious power which he uses to see the will of the fates, especially since it's mentioned a few times that he'll teach his sons the language of the birds and how to read their signs and so on and so forth.

In short: HEPATOSCOPY APOLLO IS COOL!! HE'S SO NEAT!! Apollo at the altar who predicts the coming droughts and famines from the entrails of his flock!! It's just such a neat little image (to me)!

Also the Orphic Argonautica bangs, genuinely I hope you enjoy it! Orpheus is an insane man and I do not think him along with the collective subspecies of mythical man known as 'sons of Apollo' get enough credit for how truly unhinged they are at any given point in time.

I played the Roach single route so I could get the bus scene and I laughed so hard at the difference with it and the poly with Horizon when getting Roach to be emotionally honest about his species eradication.

You have Horizon making the conversation be mature and careful and then without Horizon you have Roach dumping his lunch onto Newman in an emotional outburst that leaves him embarrassed. Both routes are excellent. Also the bus scene made me extra emotional when he came back. I just love Roach so much. 😭💖

Possible Tommy Kinard Timeline

tl;dr I think Tommy is in his mid-40s.

1977 - 1979: Possible birth years. 1994 - 1998: He'd join Army Aviation right out of high school, which was a six year commitment at the time (plus time for training). It potentially could have been 17 with a waiver and a GED? (There's also the possibility that he didn't complete his full commitment for some reason, which would knock a few years off.) ~25-26 when he's done. 2005: After that, he joins the LAFD, and he's there for at least a year, imo (since he isn't being treated like a probie) before Chimney Begins. ~26-28

2008: Hen joins the 118. ~29-31

2014: Bobby joins as Captain of the 118. ~35-37

2017: We're not actually told when Tommy transfers to Harbor; it's implied to be 2017, when Buck joins, but isn't stated. Let's say 2017. ~37-40

2024: And fast forward to 2024, when he'd be ~45-47.

That all said, I squished some of that down (the potential waiver thing, how long he'd been with the LAFD before Chimney joined), but I think it's plausible, especially if he didn't complete his commitment with the Army. I also didn't consider the possibility that his time in the Army was all in reserve service.
