Alicent's learning high Valeryian snd being BETTER at it would be the best revenge for all the head aches those Targaryens caused.

Like, her pronunciation is on point, how she rolls her letters are good and she knows when to make the letters longer or shorter, which ones are silent, and is very good at singing old Valeryian songs.

Like, she'd just be the shit at it, and the fact that she doesn't have a dragon and knows how to speak high Valeryian like a dragon rider would stir them so wrong.

Her pronunciation is better than most dragon riders who are ALIVE, she's better than her children, her words are certainly smoother than theirs and alot more. Maybe I'll make a short fic here or something about it.

Each of the Nine Free Cities developed their own distinct Low Valyrian tongue like the Braavosi, Lorathi, Lysene, Myrish, Norvoshi, Pentoshi, Qohorik, Tyroshi, and Volantene.

So while High Valyrian remained the sacred, elite lore language, these Low Valyrian offshoots became the common tongue.

It's probably why it's so difficult to get the exact wording right when there's so many different versions of one language.
