Some very exciting mail arrived!
We’re delighted to have two new donations related to Maynard Pirsig, class of 1925, former professor (1929-1970) and former Dean of the Law School (1948-1955). We just unboxed these two items: Pirsig’s Rolleiflex 3.5F (c. 1972) and Montblanc Meisterstück pen. Pirsig’s personal camera was used to take photos already in our collection, some of which we will share soon! We are grateful and excited to have these ties to Pirsig join the collection.

Sooo, I‘ve been pretty quiet these days which is why I‘m up to break the mute with some analogue photography posts on my other Blog ( @fabio-271205 ). But I‘m also up to post some camera portraits on this blog! So you can see this as a little teaser 😅😇

In my childhood I only ever played DMC3. I remember loving the game as a 12ish year old even though I never completed it. It's stuck in my brain as one of those nice gaming memories.
With the DMC anime out on Netflix I watched one episode and then decided I would play from the very first game like I should have all those years ago. I didn't much like the Anime but I remember loving DMC3 Dante.
Games back then were built different. There is no giant backstory or long cinematic cutscenes in DMC. They give you a short five minute scene and then you're on your own. There is no hints. There is no little side character annoyingly repeating the obvious next steps until you want to punch them into the walls. No tutorial showing you what Dante can do and how to do it. It's a 5 minute self exploration of "okay what's this button do?" and a growing moves list in the main menu. My appalling memory of button chains and moves will fail me and my Dante will not be the cool Dante. I'm sorry friend.
You figure it out yourself while constantly fighting waves of respawns or you live with your stupidity returning to the same rooms and getting hammered all over again. You get one chance to save progress before the next mission. The stress of the one save and the lowering health bar is real.
If you aren't the sort of person who likes to try to break every single breakable item in a room you WILL miss items and good weapons. These old school games do not hold your hand.
It's so far a fun experience to go back to a basic oldie

thanks! I love photography as a whole, so I rly don’t limit myself when it comes to learning something new or expanding what I’m shooting. been big on wildlife lately(mostly birds) and always down to go star gaze and do some long exposure in the middle of the night ✨
