Waning Obsession(Yandere Kokushibo x Reader) Ch1 Fated Encounter
When the shadowed moon turns to a full eclipse that blocks out even the stars, the monster comes out to claim the maiden. The wound Cupid's arrow caused by piercing his dark heart bleeds out for her, so he would seek what his body needed to heal. The waning desire pangs him so.
This is a semi rewrite for In The Moon's Shadow/ Eclipsed Starshine. I wasn't very happy with how either turned out so I'm reediting the old chapters to be better and adding new ones and getting rid of some completely. With new plot points added in and a few other things. Again there's a few things that you need to know about so please read the points below!
1. This is a Yandere-ish story. I in NO way support any of that kind of relationship in real life!
2. This is a story with Demons from Demon Slayer so expect there to be some fighting, cussing, blood, mentioned killing, and other such things. Although they WILL be way toned down.
3. Kokushibo isn't going to be much of a yandere and more of having no idea how human relationships work but that's because Im not used to writing full blown yanderes. So the relationship will be non-toxic.
4. This IS an AU. So barely anything will be cannon.
5. If any chapters have warnings please read and heed them.
Tumblr media
(Warnings: Some Hate and discrimination against demons. Demons don't eat humans in this au but most aren't very pleasant.
EDIT: Fixed previous spelling errors plus added one or two details.)
To say the least you had a pretty consistent, normal life.
....
......
No. Really. You did. There really wasn't anything else to describe it. Just that. Normal. Plain. Average. But calm and quiet. A normal every run of the mill life. As simple as that. Your life wasn't too different than the other average woman's. There wasn't anything that stood you out from another person.
And that's EXACTLY what you loved about it.
For as long as you could remember it had always been pretty peaceful. You were raised by a kind older couple along with many other children they took in. You had a happy normal childhood, and when you turned fourteen you were offered an apprenticeship by your tiny village's local fragrance maker. It wasn't the most exciting life but as you grew older into adulthood you learnt to appreciate the calm and quiet of your job. Learning from your tutor to carve the carefully crafted hand made soups and candles into different shapes, learning the best ways to store incense, and slowly learning how to make perfumes. Although you hadn't gotten a hand for the liquid scent sprays yet. But you didn't mind. You were always surrounded by delightful fragrances.
Overall your life as an adult was everything you could've asked for. A peaceful village with plenty of good people. A calm life away from waring clans and big crime. A job that pays well. And a small home you could call your own. There wasn't much for you to really worry yourself over except for the stares. You couldn't pretend that you didn't get many stares from the men in the town. Many offers of marriage declined. And many more people becoming angry but only a select few had gotten violently aggressive and they were all taken cared of one way or another. So there really wasn't anything much else in your town to worry about-
"The fighting has gotten worse to the east of here."
The sounds of broom bristles sweeping across the floor stopped in their actions. Your hands paused in their task of cleaning the shop entrance to look up and over. The small shop was quiet again today. There was hardly any customers in at all other than sweet old Mrs.Tenshi whom had stopped by to by a few rose scented candles for her study. Not a sound to be heard except for your body stepping around to sweep the floors and the wind chimes hung just right outside of your boss's shop. You figured today was a perfect day to sweep and mop the store front and dust the shelves to keep the store looking clean and enticing to customers. But hearing the words of the older woman sitting just in front of a small table had made you pause and turn to her.
"What?"
Her wrinkled face frowned harder in a scowl aimed at nothing in particular but clearly upset very much at something troubling her. "The fighting to the east of here has gotten worse. The peace talks between the warlords hasn't provided anything. Soon their fighting will continue on."
That's right. The war. You nearly forgotten about that. Two of the biggest nations there was around here had been fighting for almost three years now. Wars were full of death and misery and destruction and chaos. However your little village nestled away in the hills and forests had remained entirely unaffected by anything the two nations had done being just outside of both. Far away enough to escape any negative side effects but close enough to still hear news of what was going on with the wars. Sometimes you'd even see soldiers walk through town to buy supplies or sake from the local markets before leaving. Their armor and swords clanking heavily. Their bodies usually covered in scars and healing wounds. And their powerful war horses stomping down the paths. You've always made it a habit to avoid interaction with those men as much as possible even if most of them had been actually quite friendly to who they spoke to. You just didn't want any trouble with anyone. So you always played it safe. But even the soldiers visiting was a pretty rare occurrence. You hadn't seen any for the last year now even. So you were never really too concerned about what what those men did miles and miles away from you. It wasn't affecting you so you didn't see any reasons for concern.
"Oh my. That is awful. Those poor men must be very tired by now."
"It is not the men who concern me." The older woman rose a shaking hand out to place down a small bar of lavender scented soap she'd been mindlessly fiddling with for the past ten minutes as her mind wondered off on its own. "A human I can have no qualms against but it's the beasts that make me feel concerned."
"Beasts?" Was she perhaps referring to the soilders? You heard these warriors could be ruthless in battle and blood thirsty enough to rival a bear's appetite.
Her eyes flashed dangerously at you. "Demons you naive girl! Demons! The blood lusting animals that dare walk amongst us and act like we are equals when they are nothing but mindless savages!"
You had nothing to say against that. Mostly because you didn't know what to say to that.
Demons.
Yes. Yes you've heard of such people. People who were not human. Beings with horns like dragons, fangs like a wolf, multiple eyes and arms like spiders, and all kinds of other rumors. Everyone always pointed at demons for things that went bump in the night. Rumors said that they were supposed to be nothing but bad news for anyone. Blood thirsty and being able to harness dangerous powers. But you'd never met one before. Oh you knew they existed alright. How did you know? Well you never saw a demon before but you HAD seen a man that claimed to have demon heritage. He had the truth written all over his face..Or quite plainly his forehead where a third eyeball had been stationed in the traveler's face. All three very much real moving and blinking at everyone. The town's people hadn't taken too fondly of the traveler with most of your village giving him stares or out right ignoring the man asking about any inns nearby. He had gotten the unwelcoming hint and left before nightfall. You felt bad for the poor man but never spoke to him since you both hadn't interacted one on one. That was the closest thing to excitement you had gotten around here. The closest thing you'd ever seen to a real demon. And you weren't sure you actually wanted to meet one.
"It's rumored that one of those warlords are paying for the beasts to be mercenaries for war!," she spat continuing on with her disdain for the demons.
"Well that's only rumored right?" You changed the subject politely not wishing to continue listening to her ramble on her hatred. "You shouldn't believe gossip about something like that if there's no real proof. Otherwise you'll be worrying about nothing."
You turned back to the hardwood floor and started up your broom again making your boss scoff at your words. "Rumors or not you'll soon learn that being vigilant about these things can and will save you later on in life. It's how I survived for so long."
"I'm sure it is," you politely said back not in the mood to argue about such things.
It was stupid to argue with someone so bullheaded anyways. The old were stuck in their ways and would die on their hill before admitting defeat. Energy was better spent in productivity and getting work done now rather then letting it build up later.
Days of beautiful cloudy skies and warm weather transitioned to warm nights with the moon shining brightly in the dark. Blissfully life went on. Peaceful. Hard working. Serene. And safe from any harm that might've been taking place mere miles away and hopefully it would stay like that. The thoughts of danger and of Demons wasn't too concerning but it always looked in the back of your mind like a pesky fly not willing to buzz off but as always life goes on. Summer was in full swing, and the enjoyable warm weather would not be wasted on worrying about what ifs or possible scenarios that might not even come to pass. The warm weather should be taken advantage of. To be enjoyed to the fullest. To be appreciated and enjoyed.
"Will you be going night fishing again tonight?"
The smell of lavender fragrance filled the air as your hands carefully guided a small carving tool over a purple hunk of soap. The hands holding it currently in the process of carving the small soap hunk into the shape of a flower, to be placed on the shelf later for a customer to buy and take hone. Your eyes blinked up at the older woman. She was already grabbing a few previously carved soaps in different shapes, patterns, and forms up in her arms to place on the shelves as you finished up the one you were currently holding. But you had stopped to look up at her as she spoke.
"Yes. It's less crowded that way." Your eyes followed her form as she slowly stood up and walked over to a nearby shelf her older form shuffling along slowly. "The waters are always crowded with men and boys during the day. It's a favorite past time for them....and not many of them appreciate a woman intruding into their 'territory.'"
The elder hummed. "It's a dangerous thing to do, walking around at night by yourself. Especially for a girl."
"I only do it when the nights are clear and warm." You smiled widely at her back before the hands continued their task of carving. "I'll be safe near the village. A few good meals of fish will be worth losing a few hours of sleep."
She hummed placing a cat shaped soap bar on the shelf. "I still say it's foolish...but if you're insisting on going out tonight, pick up some wild basil for me. I'm starting to run low."
Your lips smiled wider. "I will. There's some near a small pond not too far outside of the village."
"Hm. I just hope you know what you're doing."
"I'll be alright. You'll see."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You should have heeded the warnings.
Warm blue skies faded to make way for her dark sister to claim for night. The sun kissing the horizon good night as it's last few rays of light disappeared from sight. Mothers called their children inside their warm houses to sleep in their cozy beds safe and sound until the next morning. The silence was peaceful on the warm summer night breezes. The calmness soothing the crickets to sing their lullabies to the dimming lights of the homes. Lantern lights being put to sleep after a long usage. The bustling town settling down and falling asleep soundly.
Your door opened  quietly and you stepped out of your house and into the quiet, barren streets. The moonlight shining down and kissing your form. A shiver running down your spine from a warm breeze ghosting over your form. It would be a good night to fish. The door closed softly as you started walking towards the woods outside the village, fishing line curled up within your right hand. The moon shown down upon the forests illuminating the night bright enough for you to see and watch as the trees swayed im the warm breezes and hear the peaceful rustling of their leaves and lullabies of the crickets. It was just so beautiful and lively. You always loved doing this. Free from crowds of people and being able to peacefully just live in these moments.
The sweet smells of flowers and grass were encouraging your lungs. Combined with the warmth of the summer air warming your muscles and urging them on. Both made you feel as light as a feather on your mere feet and the ground felt soft under you. You were smiling. Arms out splayed against the wind blowing around your hair like crazy and cooling your body against the warm heat beaming down on you. Step after step. Faster and faster. You joyously started to run through the pathways and around a corner of a house as soft dirt pathways turned into grassy floors of forests as you excitedly entered the beckoning woods. The moonlight being blocked out a bit because of the swaying trees and branches but you could still see perfectly fine. The small pond so many people liked to fish at during summer wasn't too far from where you entered. It was just nearly a quarter of a mile into the woods. You loved coming out during these warm months and gathering the natural resources the forest provides your small village. It really was a perfect place to live being so abundant in resources and stationed within such a secluded and safe location. The way you found the decently sized pond was walking through a bush and having to blink when a flurry of sparkling lights glared your eyes for a second.
 Blinking your eyes adjusted to the beautiful and wonderful sight of a dark beautiful pond reflecting the moon on its surface and sparkling as if the reflection had its own stars and consolations within its ripples. Completely untouched and waiting for you to touch its soft silence. Soft footsteps approached the gleaming  water and a carbon copy of a woman appeared in the gleaming reflections. She smiled up at the original mirroring the actions of the woman above. The woman's fiddled with her line and the small contacts she brought along with her. A hook with a big, juicy worm stabbed on the end of it dangled over the woman in the dark reflection before dropping into the water and rippling the reflection woman away back into the darkness of the waters.
The night was a beautiful thing if you needed it to be, or if you wanted to make it become that way. And in a way, it was both to you in the end. The sweet smells of flowers and grass filling your lungs. Combined with the warmth of the summer season warming your smaller body as you walked along the forest back towards your small home. Tonight was the perfect night to go fishing within the woods as it was warm, full of food, and a wide variety of other items that you could harvest. Wild berries to be picked. Old fruit trees long forgotten. A small pond with plenty of fish that only you knew. It was perfect for someone like you who loved these nights. Even taking time to pick up a few stems of basil and what fruits were left by the hoards of hungry men who flocked through here during the day. You could just harvest and hunt whatever you needed even if you lost track of time and it was fairly dark now. It shouldn't take you too long to get back to your village, but even then it'll be darker and later before you got back anyways. Not that you were too worried about still being in the woods when night fell, after all there wasn't really anything dangerous like bears or tigers where you lived. They usually didn't go near human settlements. The most dangerous predator in these woods was the hawks and owls with the occasional fox here and there. You doubt a bird or tiny fox would even want to bother you, you were much bigger compared to them and it wouldn't be worth the fight for the food you carried when they could easily hunt their own. So no. You weren't worried at all. And it was beautiful outside tonight, a warm breeze in summer and the moonlight being your companions for the long trip back home.
You had nearly made it out when a curiosity caught your eye. A light within the darkness ahead of you. One that wasn't the moon or stars in the sky and it certainly wasn't the fireflies. A flickering dancing light that was blocked by a wall of tall bushes. That... wasn't supposed to be there. It had caught you so off guard that you nearly dropped the few fish you caught on your line in your hands. The bold brightness of the light was mysterious but... enticing. Enough to get you walking forward towards the wall of bushes. Hand slowly reaching out to grab a handful of soft leaves on the bush to pull back. You were expecting perhaps a start of a forest fire or perhaps a hunter camping out here enjoying the warm weather like you were.
However you were not expecting seeing  was a fluttering purple and black haori coat moving with the cool breeze or the man who was using the fire as his companion for the night. The woman's body ran cold as she realized he was standing just a few inches away from her own face and loomed above her form and it took you longer to figure out one thing. He had been staring in your direction this entire time. It took you off guard once the realization hit you, and it caused you to pause staring back at the still chest of the man. For a long time there was nothing but silence not even the crickets dung. Only the fire behind the dark figure, the wind, and the rustling of leaves to save you from total silence.
"A woman."
You flinched at the Deep monotone voice above you. There was a clicking sound in the dark that had your eyes darting to the right in search of the source, and ice flooded your veins when realization struck you. Two strong looking hands had let go of the familiar sight of a sword tied to the side of the flowing purple and black checkered haori. This man, whomever he was, had been gripping onto that weapon with intent to strike. The clicking noise had been him resheathing his sword.
Dark fear enveloped in your mind as your eyes darted away and back to the middle of the man, one hand still clutching onto the hilt of the weapon. "I-Im sorry. I-I had no idea s-s-someone else was out here. I didn't m-mean to scare you."
You couldn't make out his face entirely, the fire was too small to produce enough light and he stood mostly in darkness so you couldn't make out exactly what color the eyes that looked back at you were, not that you could anyways refusing to look up at his face. But you could tell he was young, maybe mid or late twenties by the sounds of his voice.
"A weak thing like you did not scare me." You flinched at his blunt, harsh words. "Who are you?"
"I'm from the village. I wasn't expecting anyone else to be out here hunting," you somehow managed to stutter out from the intense atmosphere this man radiated.
"I am not hunting." His head tilted slightly and bore into the sight of the line of fish still strung in her hands. "Is that what you were doing?"
"N-No ..I-I was fishing."
"Fishing?" You nodded. And finally the other hand slowly dropped from his sword much to your relief. "A woman should not be in the forest late at night."
"I-Im ok. I d-dont live too far from here. H-honestly I didn't know another hunter w-was out here."
"I am not hunting."
"But if you're not hunting, what are you doing all alone out here?"
"That is none of your business." Again you fell silent from his blunt tone that left no room for arguing but he did seem to pause taking in the sight of the woman before him. "...Is there a town nearby here then? Or does your family live out here alone?"
"T-There's a town," you squeaked out.
"With businesses?" You nodded quickly and silently making the man above you hum. "... Excellent."
He spoke strangely. Very slow and with pauses between his words. Strange. Maybe he was tired from traveling. It was turning night after all.
"Oh. Well I won't disturb you then-" A gurgling growling noise stopped you in your tracks from backing away as the man stiffened up. You both stood there. You slowly blinked and your eyes lowered to his mid section. "....Have you eaten anything?"
"No."
"Then here." The man seemed surprised when you reached out to the line you were holding, snapping off one of the fish, and held it out to the darkened figure. "It's not much, but traveling on an empty stomach isn't good for your strength. Take this and make some food out of it...Wait. You do know how to cook fish, right?"
You finally looked up at his face and.... couldn't make out a single feature of his face. It was too dark and the hat he wore blocked out even more light cloaking it further from view, although you could make out long hair poking out from his hat and pool near his neck. Bangs maybe?
The stranger remained silent for a long moment just looking at the fish dangling from your hand seeming to contemplate for a long moment. "No and I Don't need it but I will take it since you offered." A hand reached out and grabbed it from the darkness. You noted how much larger they were compared to yours and the strange pointed nails but didn't comment as the hand pulled it back into the darkness and away from your sight. The man's head turning away downwards to you assumed to look at the food you had offered him. "...This will suffice for now." He then turned back to you. "What will you do now?"
"Go home of course." Your head nodded further up into the woods back towards your village and his head turned following your direction. "Wait. Did you just say you couldn't cook fish?"
"It is unnecessary-"
"No it's not!" Your rise in volume made him turn back to you, not surprised or anything but his brow rose at your frown. "Don't you know eating raw meat isn't good for your body? Or are you trying to save it for later?"
"I will reserve my hunger for later travel-"
"By then the meat will be bad and unsuitable for consumption. That'll just make you even more sick regardless if it's cooked or not!" You wanted to facepalm this stranger despite your earlier fear. It was instead replaced with a ridiculous feeling at this situation. You didn't know him at all, but he wasn't the brightest it seemed, or being tired and hungry is clouding his judgement. You extended your hand. "Here. Give it to me. I'll cook it for you then."
The darkened face tilted more at you. "YOU will cook for me?"
"Yes. Because I gave you the fish, if you refuse to eat it properly then it'll be on me if you get sick. There's a fire here and plenty of sticks from the trees, so I'll be able to cook it for you the same way I cook it for myself."
He didn't say anything, but after a couple seconds, a hand slowly held out the fish back out to you and you took it back, only to drop your small bag and other fish to the ground and wonder off towards the woods still carrying the fish in one hand. All the while his head followed your every movement from your form walking into the darkness, to your hand picking up a stick and jabbing it into the fish, to you walking back and just placing the entire thing into the fire with a part of the long stick safely out of the way of flames. And then the silence resumed for what seemed like hours as he just watched your actions which included using the stick to flip the fish over onto the other side after a long while. After a long while more, you completely pulled the now fully brown fish from the fire and held it out to him with a smile.
"Here. It should be good to eat now, and don't try to save it for too long or else it'll go bad." There was another pause from the man who just stared at the food you offered before the same hand reached over and took it from you once again. Seeing it as your job being done here, you quickly grabbed your things, thanked the gods for a chance to leave, and turned away from him. "Will you be leaving soon?"
"That is none of your business and neither is my travels."
Ah. So another traveler heading up there. There was a few in your limited years of living here and they all traveled past your village on their way over the mountains ...Although it was a bit strange this stranger was armed. He might've been another soldier and that thought frightened you. It was best if you distanced yourself. Either way it was none of your business. Your business was to get home now and get some sleep before you had to work again tomorrow. But still....he seemed hungry.
"Is your destination far? You might need some more food if you're stomach is growling."
"I will be fine."
That was a no then. You contemplated something in your head and picked up your remaining fish and bag only to toss it at his feet with a thud. He looked at it, then up at your face in obvious question. "It's full of wild fruits and vegetables. They might taste a little bitter, but they'll last you a couple days. I can just come back and get more for myself. And if you need more, you'll find some around the pond back there-" you pointed back from where you first came from. "-if the men hadn't all gotten it first." He didn't say anything, not that you were expecting him to, but you took that as your cue to leave, so your body bowed at the waist. "May you have a safe journey."
With that you turned and began walking back off towards the direction of your village, with less food for your hungry self, but you could always come back and get more. Right now you wanted to do nothing more than to get home and put distance between yourself and the man. The strange man watched your form until it disappeared from his sight and slowly turned back to the fish in his hand....And taking a rather large bite with his inhuman fangs.
Set Up
Time: Early February 2020
Summary: When Seungkwan and Wooyoung plan a blind date for Amanda and Jeonghan without their knowledge.
Disclaimers: italic words are her thoughts
Masterlist
a/n: This is reedited. I hope you all like it! Let me know what you guys think :)
Tumblr media
Echoes of music notes from game machines and the clanks of the claw machines used by the handful of people, greeted Woyoung and Amanda as they entered the arcade. The place was usually like this as the members and her would always find secluded unpopular places they could hangout at.
The only unusual thing about the place today was Wooyoung's strange behavior. He had been acting weird since he abruptly invited dragged her out here, interrupting her peaceful break from their hectic schedule this past month. He avoided her questions on why she had to dress up nicely for the arcade, which she would normally go in sweats and an old tshirt, and he had this anxious look in his eyes throughout the car ride. And now he kept glancing around, almost like he was looking for something or someone.
"Ok, seriously what is wrong with you? You’ve been acting strange all day." She asked, finally having enough.
Wooyoung gulped at her piercing stare before caving in, "Look, don't hate me! I only did this because I knew you wouldn’t say yes if I told you the truth. But I promise I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t think he was a nice guy-"
"Nice guy? What are you talkin-"
"Wooyoung!" She turned around, only for her eyes to widen, astonished to see who the voice was coming from.
It was Seventeen’s Boo Seungkwan.
She knew Wooyoung and Seungkwan had gotten close to each other after meeting at MAMA. She clearly remembers Wooyoung coming to her starstruck, bragging about meeting him. Little did he know that she also met someone from Seventeen. Kind of.
To see him here was a surprise, but what surprised her even more was that right beside him was none other than his fellow member Jeonghan, the person she kind of met and he seemed to be just as surprised to see her here.
"Seungkwan hyung! What are you doing here?" Wooyoung asked with a higher pitched, cracking voice. Amanda raised her eyebrows by the change of her friend's voice.
She has known Wooyoung for about 4 years now and she has observed all of his little habits. One was that his voice only ever went like that when he was lying.
"Hyung and I came to play some games." Seungkwan pointed to Jeonghan, whose eyes were focused on one person.
Her
Her eyes met his, unconsciously. She thought he would look away, but he continued to gaze at her with an angelic smile.
"Really us too! This is my other member, Amanda." Wooyoung explained, nudging her side, making her break eye contact with Jeonghan.
She flusterily bowed to them, "Ah! Hi! Nice to meet you sunbaenims."
“No need for that!” Seungkwan kindly assured her. “I told Wooyoung this before but some of us got to see a glimpse of your performance at MAMA and you guys were incredible. Jeonghan especially loved it.” Seungkwan wiggled his eyes with a smirk at him, hoping to see a flustered Jeonghan. But instead Jeonghan just calmly replied “Yeah, I really enjoyed it.” before teasingly smirking at Seungkwan, who rolled his eyes.
Although she wasn’t sure what was going on between the two, a genuine smile appeared across her face from getting a compliment from her sunbaenims, “Thank you! I loved your guys' performance as well.”
“She’s a huge fan of you guys. She has a shelf full of all of your albu-” She covered Wooyoung mouth with her hand and glared at him with menacing eyes warning him to stop talking before turning over to the two sunbaenims with an innocent smile, “He’s kidding.”
“Oh, so you’re not a huge fan of us?” Jeonghan teasingly joked.
“No! No! Of course I am!” Amanda panicky rambled as Jeonghan chuckled.
“Stop messing with her hyung.” Seungkwan told him.
“Sorry. Thank you for the compliment.” He apolgized before stirring back to the main topic.
“Oh Wooyoung! Since you’re here, I got a higher score on the game we betted on last time.” Seungkwan bragged.
“I bet I can beat it.”
“I bet you can’t.”
“You’re on!” Wooyoung competitive spirit coming out.
“Ah! I was going to show hyung around since it’s his first time here.” Seungkwan remembered.
“Amanda can show him around.” Wooyoung abruptly volunteered her in a higher pitch tone. Her eyes widened, bewildered by his sudden offer.
With Wooyoung being strange since he invited her here, Jeonghan and Seungkwan just so happen to “coincidentally” be here, and Seungkwan and Wooyoung trying to leave Jeonghan and her alone, the pieces were finally being put together and she understood what was going on. She was being set up.
“Do you mind?” Jeonghan asked her.
Before she could reply, Wooyoung butted in “Of course, she doesn’t!”
She tugged the sleeve of Wooyoung's shirt making him lean down to her eye level. "If you leave me, I promise I will kill you in your sleep tonight." She threatenily whispered.
Wooyoung gulped, knowing very well that she would. He glanced over to Seungkwan, who gave him a little nod of encouragement before he looking back at her, “You’ll be fine. I’ll be around, don't worry.”
“Great!” Seungkwan cheered, linking arms with Wooyoung, “We’ll see guys in a bit.”
The two of them bolted off together leaving Jeonghan and Amanda alone.
“They're not that great at being subtle, are they?” Jeonghan asked, also understanding what was happening to them.
“Yeah. I don’t think Wooyoung even knows what the word subtle means.” Amanda unconsciously blurted, earning a chuckle from Jeonghan.
“I don’t think Seungkwan does either.” Jeonghan added. There was a moment of awkward silence between the two. Neither of them knowing what to say.
Say something, Amanda. Anything!
Gosh! How do you talk to people?
“Well, how about we make our own bet on one of the games?” He suggested.
“What are we betting for?” She asked, curious to what he had in mind.
Jeonghan thought for a second when his eyes spotted the food area, “Since I didn’t have lunch today I’m starting to feel hungry. So whoever loses has to pay for dinner.”
Amanda, not being someone to back down from a bet and is just as competitive as Wooyoung, agreed. Jeonghan picked a game and she started off.
Noticing how well she was playing, he decided he needed to take action in order to ensure his win. He got closer to her and slightly nudging her shoulder with his own causing her to lose grip of the controller.
“Noo!” She squealed, trying to quickly get her grip back onto the controller. Luckily for her this little mishap didn’t totally ruin her streak. “Cheater!”
He let out a mischievous laugh, “Sorry I get these tremors sometimes.”
“Whatever!” She rolled her eyes at him trying to hide her smile to keep up her annoyed appearance.
“Alright my turn.” He said, as she stepped aside from the game, so he could take his turn.
Time for some payback
She moved her head in front of his vision to block his view of the game.
“Oh what happening?” she asked, pretending as if she had trouble seeing the screen. He kept swerving his head to get a view of the screen, but she was always one step ahead, “Wow, childish much.”
She shrugged her shoulders, replying with an innocent smile, “What are you talking about? I couldn't see.”
“Well, I hope you can see that you lost.” A cocky grin smeared across his face, pointing at the screen, making her smile vanished. She got a closer look at the screen only to see her name below his on the scoreboard. She let out an annoyed sigh.
Jeonghan leaned down towards her and whispered next to her ear, “Thanks for the meal.”
She flinched at his sudden closeness to her. His warm breath against her ear made her cheeks turn a hint of pink. She practically felt her heart leap out from her chest. Amused by her flusterness, Jeonghan’s signature cheeky grin revealed itself. He gazes into her eyes, contemplating whether to tease her some more.
“You coming?” He asked after ultimately deciding not to. He moves away from her, heading over to the food area. She snapped back to reality, spotting him ahead.
What is happening? Was he just flirting with me? Yoon Jeonghan flirting with me? Was that flirting? It can’t be? This is a dream? Someone needs to pinch me
She took a deep breath to try and calm her rapid heartbeat before catching up to him. They got their meals, which Jeonghan ended up paying for after much debate with Amanda as he claimed he must as her sunbae. The two continued to cha, their conversation topics ranging from their likes, dislikes, and even their members and family.
She couldn’t help but admire his genuine smile when he talked about his members and family and how spoke about them with so much love and care, it made her heart flutter. It was something she understood with her members and family.
“Okay. Let’s do another bet. If I win, you give me your phone number.” He confidently suggested after they finished their meals.
Her eyes widened, dumbfounded by his words. This whole day felt like an illusion for her. She never in her life expected to meet Jeonghan or to even be set up on a blind date with him. But now he wanted her number. “And if I win?”
“Then I will grant you a wish.”
“Fine. But no cheating this time and I get to pick the game."
"Deal." They made their agreement through a handshake. “So which game?”
Having a game in mind already, she lead him to the game, “This one”
Dance Dance Revolution. It was her favorite game and one she knew she had the best chance of winning.
“This is totally unfair.” Jeonghan complained.
“How?”
“I’ve seen you dance. I have no chance of winning.”
“I think you have more of an advantage than me since you're in a group known for their dance skills.”
“But I’m not as good as you. Plus you probably played all the songs on here” He argued back, which she couldn’t deny the last part as she has.
“I think you should give yourself more credit. And you agreed to let me choose the game.” She defended, shrugging her shoulders.
He sighed in defeat, “Fine, but let me choose the song.”
She agreed and Jeonghan picked a song of his choice. They both got into position on the dance floor. Somewhere in the middle of the game, their promise to not cheat was thrown out the window as they began stomping on each other's dance floor and pushing each other out of balance. By the end of the game, they were holding each other's arms to prevent the other from pushing.
“What happened to no cheating?” Amanda whined while the game tallied up the scores.
“You were the one who started it.”
“Was not!” Their bickering continued until the game screen presented the scores, and with only a single point difference, she won.
"Ha! I won." She cheered, jumping with a satisfied smile spread across her face. She faced Jeonghan and it was only a split second, but she caught a glimpse of his disappointed eye’s before he hid it away with a smile.
"Well, you won fair and square. What do you want?" He asked her.
Amanda placed her finger on her lip, thinking of her prize, “Hmmm. Your-”
"Sir, ma’am.” The two of them turn to face one of the workers at the arcade, “We’re closing for the day."
They both looked around the place, noticing that it was practically empty beside a few staff members cleaning up. They spent hours chatting, but neither of them realized the time passing or that the two conniving little planners of this set up had already left.
“Ah. Sorry. We'll leave now.” He told the lady.
“Could we still get prizes with our tickets?” She asked the lady after remembering her tickets she saved in her pockets.
“Of course.” The lady led them to the counter with the prizes and they shopped around at the variety of prizes shown on display before each paying for their prizes.
“Hand.” She instructed him. He tilted his head perplexed but placed his hand out for her with a smirk, “You should know I don’t just let anyone hold my hand.”
She rolled her eyes, “I’m not holding your hand, idiot. I’m giving you this.” She placed a small wooden fox keychain in his hand.
“What’s this?”
“A key chain.” She sarcastically answered, “It’s a little souvenir for you since you said it was your first time here.”
Jeonghan let out an awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck, confusing her.
“Do you not like it? I can buy something else.”
“No! I like it. Thank you.” He frantically reassured her, “I just also got you something. Hand.”
Her lips curved into a small smile at him mimicking her before laying her hand out for him. He placed the same keychain she had given him in her hand, “I notice you looking at it early. Didn’t know it was for me though.”
She let out a soft giggle, “Well I did want one actually. So thank you!”
A sigh of relief escaped his mouth and a smile appeared, “I’m glad.”
Tumblr media
Jeonghan was persistent in dropping Amanda off at the dorms claiming it was late and dangerous for her to walk back at night. While these were all true, he really just didn’t want to leave her yet and she didn’t want to either, so of course she agreed.
Jeonghan parked outside near the back of her dorm apartment in order to prevent being caught by people and cameras.
“This is your dorm right?” He asked as she nodded, “It looks nice.”
“It is. Oh!” She gasped remembering something. "Here." She holds out her phone in her hand towards him. He glanced at the phone, confusion written all over his face. "My wish for winning. Give me your number.”
To this day, she still has no idea how or what got her to muster up the courage to ask him for his number, but she was glad she did.
His lips curved into a giant smile before grabbing the phone from her. He added his number and returned the phone to her, "So when will I hear from you?"
She hummed a bit before grinning at him, "You’ll just have to wait." She could sense the hit of worry that appeared across his face from her response. “I should head in now.”
“Yeah.” He mumbled, slightly disappointed.
He watches her walk towards the door of her apartment. A confused expression comes on his face when he sees her stop walking. “What happened?” He mumbled to himself.
Ring Ring Ring
He reached into the pocket of his pants to pull out his phone to see an unknown number, “Hello?”
“See you didn’t have to wait too long.” Jeonghan recognized the delicate voice on the other line. He looked back over at Amanda to find her facing him with a soft smile and her phone to her ear. He let out a soft chuckle, “It was a little long.”
She jokingly rolled her eyes at his remark, “Anyways, I forgot to thank you.”
“For?”
“For today. I had a lot of fun.”
“Me too. Hopefully we can do this again?” Jeonghan nervously asked, unsure if she would want to.
“Yeah. I would like that.”
Waning Obsession Masterlist
SUMMERY: When the shadowed moon turns to a full eclipse that blocks out even the stars, the monster comes out to claim the maiden. The wound Cupid's arrow caused by piercing his dark heart bleeds out for her, so he would seek what his body needed to heal. The waning desire pangs him so.
INFO:
This is a semi rewrite for In The Moon's Shadow/ Eclipsed Starshine. I wasn't very happy with how either turned out so I'm reediting the old chapters to be better and adding new ones and getting rid of some completely. With new plot points added in and a few other things. Again there's a few things that you need to know about so please read the points below!
1. This is a Yandere-ish story. I in NO way support any of that kind of relationship in real life!
2. This is a story with Demons from Demon Slayer so expect there to be some fighting, cussing, blood, mentioned killing, and other such things. Although they WILL be way toned down.
3. Kokushibo isn't going to be much of a yandere and more of having no idea how human relationships work but that's because Im not used to writing full blown yanderes. So the relationship will be non-toxic.
4. This IS an AU. So barely anything will be cannon.
5. If any chapters have warnings please read and heed them.
A tale of two. Alex Turner. One.
Description (Part One.) Alex Turner x fem!Reader. (Y/N) (Y/LN) is a young and promising publicist in show business. Her work would cause the encounter with the person who would turn her life upside down: Alex Turner. But what happens when love seems to go counterflow? When everything seems inconvenient?
Words: 1,75k.
A/N:  A tale of two is a love story and a heartbreak story. Is the story about the struggle of loving in modern times, when it seems like love goes counterflow, fighting for survival. The writing process of A tale of two has lasted five years. This story has grown up with me through my teenage years (and all the problems that come with them). A lot of times in my life this story has been my escape route, and its publication makes me quite nervous. It will probably suffer a lot of reeditions (and it has been numerous the ones it has suffered until now). But it's a story that I'm deeply proud of. The story structure (of its first part) is clear: each chapter has a point of view. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. You can find the spanish version of this story on my wattpad profile.
(Y/N).
She felt it again: that distressed feeling in her throat that made her run to the unknown toilet.
It was the fifth time that night, and she wasn't sure of what was causing all those visits to the hotel bathroom. To be honest, she wasn't sure about anything at that moment. And it was something she couldn't bear with, that feeling of no control, neither outside nor inside her body. It was destroying her, little by little.
She felt again the bile going through her throat. And the tears rolling down her face made images appear in her head, images that she didn't want to remember. She didn't want to remember those eyes. And the more she fought those images, more of them appeared. She even felt his hands stocking her back.
His eyes appeared in hundreds of scenarios, in hundreds of moments. Those eyes, with their light, those eyes she looked at for the first time that morning in London.
Then, she can only ask herself how her life was before she met him. What was the thing that occupied her head 24/7 before her life made a turn of 180 degrees?
Tumblr media
The Getaway of The Red Hot Chili Peppers. That was the song playing in her headphones. Her right foot taped on the floor to the rhythm of the drums. There was an old lady in front of her in the coffee shop line who couldn't decide. The boy at the counter looked at (Y/N) with a smile; he was redheaded, tall and skinny, and probably younger than (Y/N). She smiled back, looking down; even at her age, she didn't know how to react when a boy showed some interest. When the old lady finished paying, (Y/N) put on pause the Red Hot Chili Peppers song.
"Green tea, medium, please."
The boy nodded, whispering "Right away." (Y/N) started paying attention to some email she had just received, they were work-related, her team was starting to work on the advertisement for a new movie. She looked at the redhead boy again, he had just left the tea on the counter. (Y/N) handed him her credit card. But he was faster, and said "On the house." He smiled, almost sure about his new conquest
"Thank you." (Y/N) whispered, not knowing what else to say.
She sat in one of those uncomfortable chairs right outside of the boarding gates, she looked up at the screens to find that her flight would leave at 10:50, with a two-hour delay. She double-checked a couple of times to find out that she wasn't wrong.
"Fuck." She whispered, knowing that she wouldn't get in time for the meeting with the new group. She put her green tea in the seat by her side and looked for her phone in her bag. She called the manager of the group. After two beeps, Max Bell answered. "Good morning (Y/N)."
"Hey Max, I've got a problem, my plane was delayed for two hours." She said, closing her eyes, waiting for an answer.
"Oh," he said before a pause. "Don't worry, we have more time to rehearse then. These four need it." The manager laughed. "I'm sorry. Please tell them to excuse me." (Y/N) said, almost ashamed because of the delay.
"I will, even though it won't be necessary because you will do it when you arrive." she smiled, she knew she used the words "sorry" and "thank you" way too much.
"Thank you, Max." "Don't thank me, and don't worry. See you in some hours." (Y/N) said goodbye and hung up.
Max Bell was a short man who started growing a belly when he turned 45. He was nice, and it wasn't the first time she worked with one of his artists. Even though he always treated her nicely and hadn't caused her any troubles when it came to doing her work, she felt that there was something weird about the guy.
She reconnected her headphones to the phone and took out of her bag the folder where she had all the information she needed for the new group. When she took the green tea, she was aware of the nine-digit number written in the cup with a black marker. The phone number of the coffee shop guy. She smiled, sipping her tea. When she finished, she noted down the phone number, knowing she wouldn't use it, but just in case. And then she put it in one pocket of her bag that she didn't use to open.
She then paid attention to the folder and played on Spotify the playlist with the music of the group she was gonna work with, one of her personal favorites: Arctic Monkeys.
The mere thought of her having the opportunity of talking with them, and working by their side as her publicist made her incredibly nervous. For the next three hours, two of waiting and one of flying from Brussels to London, she made sure of going through all their discography. She loved working with artists she was a fan of, partly because she got to know them, but also because she get's to know what's behind what she considers pieces of pure art. On the other hand, she was a fan, so she knew what the fans were hoping for: the same as her.
Maybe we should have started from the beginning. Our main character, (Y/N) (L/N), had been working in show business as a publicist for some years. She worked mainly with musicians. There was little else she enjoyed more than doing her work: selling products she loved.
She was pretty nervous and doubted everything she had done. From her outfit (skinny black elegant pants, white shirt, and dark grey dress jacket), to all the information collected and investigation made for the last weeks.
But if there was something wrong, she couldn't change it, because she had just parked her Fiat 500 at the door of the studio. She looked at the watch on the dashboard, one hour late. She sighed. "Well done, (Y/N)." She whispered while she took the bag from the passenger side and got out of the car.
She opened the door of the studio and headed to the counter where a gorgeous blonde was talking on the phone with some casting director for a video clip. "Young girls, preferably models. That's what Mr. Bell has left pointed. I'm sorry." She said leaving on wait the person she was talking to, and looking to (Y/N), waiting for her to give her the information needed to help her.
"I'm (Y/N) (Y/LN), I was coming to see a Max Bell's group."
"Yes, they are waiting for you. Follow me." She said, grabbing a folder from the desk. (Y/N) followed her down the hallway to some of the last doors. "Mr. Bell, (Y/N) (Y/LN) has just arrived."
Max stood up to receive her. "Welcome, (Y/N). How was your trip?" He then grabbed her by the waist. (Y/N) tightened her body feeling the unwelcome gesture, not wanting that type of behavior in the workplace. She ignored it, assuming that it was just her who was feeling weird about what he had just done.
"Very well, Max, thank you for asking."
Behind him stood up four masculine figures. "I'm glad. Let me introduce you. These are Matt, Nick, Jamie, and Alex."
"Nice to meet you, excuse me for being late." (Y/N) took notice of them, one by one, while she shook their hands. All of them smiled at her. The last one she shook hands with was the singer. When (Y/N) looked at his eyes she felt how her energy switched. It was something that had happened with very few people, and it had always been for good.
"Don't worry. I'm sure it wasn't your fault." Matt said.
"I don't think it was. I'm not an air controller, for now." She said smiling and getting a laugh from the musicians.
"Please, (Y/N), sit down," Matt said, pointing to a chair on the desk.
"Do you want anything to drink?" Max asked.
"Green tea, please." Max asked someone for the order through the interphone. "Well, (Y/N), you know why you're here."
"Yes," she said, smiling and looking at the musicians. "I'm aware that you've already fired some publicists. I want to make clear the way I work, so you know now if you want me doing the work. I like transparency, that's the base of all of my work. Not only facing the public but also between us. And most of all I want you guys to feel comfortable with said transparency." (Y/N) looked at Alex, seated on her right, who looked at her with a big smile, nodding at what she was saying.
"I like the idea," Jamie said. "I think the problem with our last publicists was that they didn't let us be ourselves," Matt added. The door opened and a tall brunette girl came in with some cups. (Y/N) took her tea and drank.
"That is why I think that (Y/N) is the person you are looking for," Max said.
"Are you thinking about putting out some new music?" she asked.
Everyone looked at Alex, who hadn't said a thing. "We are on an artistic blockage right now."
"Then, I don't think you should try to make music just because "you have to". Fans can feel when a record was made just because it had to be done."
"I couldn't agree more," Alex said, looking deeply into her eyes. She smiled.
"Well, (Y/N), maybe that idea..." Max stopped himself before saying something that would make mad everyone in the room.
"Isn't good for the discography. I know. But I also know that a record done without any musical inspiration isn't going to give the discography, or the group good economic results on the long haul." (Y/N) kept the manager's gaze until he nodded, listening to the strong tone of the publicist. "Even so, I would recommend doing something so the fans know that you are still here and that you haven't split up. Give some interviews, that way you will take the discography off your back."
"The Rolling Stone has been weeks behind your back, asking for an interview," Max said.
"That would be perfect. As long as you guys feel comfortable doing it." The four guys nodded, not only agreeing about the interview but also about having found a new publicist.
Finals had been coming up again. Which meant you had to study. No excuse and no distractions. Well, except for Tom of course. Because as much as you tried, you just couldn't say no to him. As much as he promised he'd be quiet if you let him come over you knew that your shared short attention spam would get the better of you.
A cheerful Tom skipped into your messy room. You were much to your surprise already able to finish 4 chapters without getting distracted by your boyfriend. So you were surprised it took him this long to share with you his boredom. "How's it going?" Tom asked sincere, poking his head over your shoulder to take a look at your textbooks.
"I wanna drop out." You sighed dramatically, leaning the back of your head against his chest. "Oh C'mon." Tom laughed, sofly massaging your shoulders. "You've been doing so well. You can't give up now."
You raised your brow at him before pointing to the massive pile of books you still had to study. "You see that? That's just for one final."
"Oh." He chuckled shyly before kissing the top of your head. "Dont you have time for a break? You have been here for hours."
"I'm sorry love. I wish I could but I can't. Maybe later." You smiled apologetic before returning to your work.
"It's okay darling. Don't apologize. Just want you to know that if you need me I'll be right over there." He smiled, a hint of mischief in his eyes.
"And what would I need you for?" You asked, playfully rolling your eyes.
"Oh I don't know." He teased. Resting a hand on your desk and the other one on your chair so he towered over you. "If you need help keeping your mind off some things for example." "Hmm, Is that now?" You played back, grabbing the collar of his shirt and tugging him closer towards you. "I'll remember that." You whispered as your lips ghosted over his. Tom was eager to break the space, his nose bummed against yours before he connected his lips with yours.
"Why do you taste like cherries?" Tom chuckled as he rested his forehead against yours. You giggled at his confused face before leaning back and grabbing a small box full of lip products from your desk. "I found my old box of lip smackers." You told him excitedly. "It's like a lip balm but then with a flavor."
"Oh, I like that." Tom smiled, before pecking your lips again. "How about we try them all out?" He teased as he leaned in for another kiss. You playfully turned away, making his lips crash on your cheek instead of your lips . Tom's brows furrowed and a childish pout covered his lips. "What was that for?"
"I have to study Thomas. But the sooner I'm finished, the sooner I can have that break." You promised, teasingly some curls out of his face. Your boyfriend's face lit up, clearing his throat before saying: "I better let you study then love." He winked before running back to the living room in giggles.
Tumblr media
here’s an updated tutorial on how i make my gifs!
featuring: oikawa tooru from haikyuu!!
warning: picture heavy
what i will be using:
- photoshop CC 2017 - handbrake (x) - a media player (i use vlc and that’s what i will be referring to)
note: i’m on windows 10 so if you have a mac, the interface may look different.
1. i would like to thank sue for introducing me to handbreak bc it makes my life a whole lot easier :)
2.  this may contain grammatical errors as i made this tutorial  at 12am (if you added me on snapchat you’d know). i have no idea why 12am out of all times…
okay, now on to the tutorial :)
STEP 1: ISOLATING THE SCENE
using: vlc media player and handbrake
so here i have my video in vlc media player (haikyuu!! - s2 ep 6)
Tumblr media
i’m just going to the exact scene that i want, making note of the timestamp near the play button.
after i’ve found my scene, i open up handbrake and choose “file” as my source selection. you want to pick the same video file you used for vlc media player.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now that i have my file selected and it’s the right one, i can insert the time of the start of the scene and the time at the end of the scene here:
Tumblr media
tip: record a few seconds before and after the scene you want to isolate. this ensures the you have the full scene intact and you aren’t missing any frames.
tip: make sure the scene is under 5 minutes or else it will take a while to download. i think that 30 seconds is enough to completely capture a scene.
when you are saving a file in handbrake, you need to create a destination path. mine is just located in my kmplayer capture folder (bc that’s where all my old psds are), but you can determine where you want to put yours on your own. make sure to give the file a name as you are saving.
Tumblr media
you can also do that in the destination bar.
Tumblr media
now we are at the output settings. here are my settings that i use:
Tumblr media
you want to save all your files as an mp4 file because that will definitely work on photoshop as i will be using convert video frames to layers (photoshop is not compatible with mkv files, a format that is abundant among anime)
you want the quality to be lossless because that produces the highest quality video.
i know there is a subtitle tab, but i’ve never had any issues with my videos (with subtitles) having subs after it’s been encoded, so i wouldn’t bother messing with it.
even if your video is already in an mp4 format, you want to use this to get the scene you want. if you go into photoshop with a 24 minute long episode, you will find it harder to get the exact scenes you want with photoshop’s crappy sliders.
i know there is another way of getting clips via vlc media player’s record function, but i tried to do it and couldn’t get it to work. for me, handbrake is the easiest way to isolate scenes.
okay! we can finally download our video file!
up at the top, there is a bar highlighted in blue.
Tumblr media
start encode: begins to convert/process your new video file. if there is nothing in the queue, press this button.
add to queue: when you’re currently encoding something, “start encode” will transform into a “stop encode” so you use “add to queue”  when there are more scenes you want to encode. once the preceding file is done being encoded, the next one will start.
show queue: displays everything that needs to be encoded or is currently being encoded
when your file is done, go to where you saved the video and it will be there!
Tumblr media
STEP 2: MAKING THE GIF
using: photoshop
go to file > import > video frames to layers.
Tumblr media
then load the video file you created in handbrake.
Tumblr media
as i said before, you want to have bit of the scene before and after the actual scene you want to gif.
Tumblr media
if photoshop brings you this pop-up:
Tumblr media
do not click continue. press cancel and use the 2 trim controls to condense the range. remember to include frames from before and after the scene you want to gif. you can also limit it to every 2 frames as this will get rid of duplicates and reduce the frame count.
btw: this is from kimi no na wa. the haikyuu video wasn’t long enough lol.
after clicking okay, photoshop will look something like this:
Tumblr media
basically, you will have a frame animation with the timing already set for you.
now i will just delete excess frames, layers, and crop my gif to be 540px.
i know it’s not important to delete layers you aren’t using, but it makes file saving so much faster, which is why i highly suggest you delete anything you wont be using.
here is what i have now:
Tumblr media
please please PLEASE make sure to save your files!!! especially if it’s something you know you’ll be working on later. this just allows for reediting and if you accidentally mess something up, you can always go back into the psd and fix it.
so that’s basically it for making the gif! now i’m just going to
color my gif
add my watermark
convert my frames to a timeline animation
select all my layers and convert them to a smart object (select them, then right-click for convert to smart object)
apply my sharpening and blur filters
save for web
Tumblr media
i always group my adjustment layers so that my layers panel looks neater.
Tumblr media
now it’s time to save the file as a gif by going to file > save for web.
sometimes i use diffusion, other times i use pattern; it really depends on what the gif looks like. if there’s a noticeable gradient in the gif (x), then i will use pattern over diffusion as the banding will not be as noticeable and everything will look smooth.
if you want a comparison between the 2, in this tutorial, the very first gif is saved with diffusion while the very last gif is saved with pattern. there’s truly not much of a difference (the pattern gif may be a little darker) except this:
the file size is wayyy lower. this won’t always be the case in using pattern over diffusion so don’t automatically choose pattern over diffusion.
always go preview your gif in save for web to see what it would look like after it’s saved if you’re unsure about the timing of the gif. just go to save for web and click on the preview option. that will give you a good idea of how your gif will run when it’s finished. i recommend doing this after you’ve converted the frame animation to a timeline animation.
and now you’re done :)
i would highly recommend you make actions out of processes you do often (like cropping) and give them a keyboard shortcut.
keep your gifs under 3mb
always crop to tumblr’s current width dimensions (x). height is not a big deal, but if you find that your gif is over 3mb, cropping the height will lessen the file size.
if you have a very long scene, or one with lots of movement, consider limiting the frame capturing to every 2 frames. this just gets rid of duplicates and lessens the amount of frames you have, thereby reducing the gif’s file size (i’m sure i said it up there somewhere).
keep in mind that blurring reduces a file size and sharpening increases a file size. you may want to change your settings if you are just over the size limit.
have fun making gifs!! i’m hoping that i didn’t forget anything and if you have any questions or want more tutorials, feel free to send me an ask :)
