I went back and tried design more Undertale characters for the Asriel Crownbearer AU. === (Edit: these descriptions were added back in after the first posting)
Sans & Papyrus
The skeleton brothers are merchants in Anura.
They sell hot dogs(not good), spaghetti(not good), and miscellaneous items you can find in a convenience store(don't ask how).
Sans deliberately doesn't join ANY cult in the Lands of the Old Faith while Papyrus is tempted to join Asriel's cult.
For some reason, the Crown cannot mindread Sans and Papyrus. However, Asriel doesn't really need mindread to mindread Papyrus.
Like the original, Papyrus becomes good friends(mutuals at least) with Asriel and admires Undyne.
Muffet
She is a follower of Shamura and a high-ranked enforcer.
After Alphys left and joined Asriel, Muffet hated her and deemed her a traitor.
Monster Kid
They followed Undyne to the cult as she recused them from the Bishops' cultists during a holy quest.
Just like the original, they admired Undyne more than the king(Asriel in this case).
Temmie
Temmies lives in Temmie Village.
Temmies worship Temmie.
Temmie is Temmie.
Temmie is Life.
Temmie please put down the knife.
Saladpants (Burgerpants/Pizzapants)
He works as a waiter at Rakshasa's restaurant.
Everyone at the restaurant kept calling him "Saladpants" as he always served them the restaurant's top-selling dish "Beetroot Salad". (Rakashasa's dishes were shown in Jalala's Journal)
Napstablook
They were a demon by a demonic summoning.
They forgot who and why were summoned
They have been wandering around the lands for quite some time.
Enforcer Guardian 01 & Enforcer Guardian 02 (Royal Guard 01 & Royal Guard 02)
These two men are enforcers of the Old Faith.
Just like the original, EG01 has a HUGE crush on EG02.
Don't worry, these lovers won't die. They ended up joining Asriel, probably mostly because of Undyne.

Headcanon time!!! :D
Be warned!!! I drew a small comic for it and I didn't add any color to it so it looks so weird to me but I don't feel like coloring sooooo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So after the genocide route Napstablook is the only surviver in the underground since they can't die. They have been isolated for a while now so they feel even more sad and hate themselves even more now. Annnnnd guess who feels it!? That's right, Nightmare!
Nightmare offers Napstablook a small home (which is Nightmare attic) and in exchange Nightmare feeds off Napstablook negative emotions. Napstablook of course take the offer. Now Napstablook unknowingly trapped themselves in a toxic relationship.
In my comic tears are falling from the ceiling and Nightmare isn't super annoyed by it but he's always checking why they're crying so Nightmare can poke it even further and get more negative emotions. I feel Napstablook will definitely decorate the attic close to his house (which was easy to do) and have tv there in their room (which is a multiverse tv). They will watch Mettaton from different aus and sometimes cry. (Nightmare will definitely tell Napstablook that Happstablook is Mettaton). Nightmare calls Blooky in this comic cuz Happstablook/Mettaton called them that and it is just a way to mock Napstablook and their loss. When Napstablook was called pathetic, they don't deny this cuz they know they are and hate themselves that they are.
Annnnnn that's all for now I'll probably talk more but I hope this makes sense? Idk I'm bad at spelling and put my thoughts into words
Uhhhh translate down below :)
Nightmare: sigh
Creek~
Napstablook: Oh hi Nightmare
Nightmare: Your tears are soaking my belongings again
Nightmare: And for what? Missing an old friend?
Nightmare: you truly are pathetic Blooky
Napstablook: I know

First Post! These are the designs for Under-threads Frisk, sans, and Papyrus! (Drawn and written by Paraex)
-Some context:
This is an AU following the life of a nonbinary/genderfluid human child named Frisk. Frisk is having a hard time adjusting to their new home as their family is constantly at odds thanks to poor communication and stress. Frisk tries to make their mother Toriel happy while helping their Father Asgore explore the property and drawing and writing about what they find.
They try to get their brother to see and understand why others are so miserable, but Asriel doesn’t seem to want to understand Frisk's perspective at all. Their new neighbors are… “hard” to get along with, since they're either too "sciency" to understand (a sweet lesbian couple downstairs, Alphys and Undyne), straight up insane (The ghost Happstablook and Napstablook in the attic space) or just as cold as their brother (A Dino with no arms named Monster Kid next door.)
Not everything in the new home was bad though! They did find a pare of interesting skeleton dolls, and made friends with a strange Talking flower. Their family problems continues to spiral, however, and Frisk just wants to get away and explore the strange and beautiful plants next door in the burnt down houses back garden. They find solace here among the vibrating golden flowers and bright green vines. As time passes Frisk grows more and more attached to this area- despite a certain flower warning them away from the place. One night after a terrible fight with their mother and brother, Frisk runs out into the rain to hide out in their beloved secret garden. This leads to them falling into the old cracked water well in the gardens center, leading them to fall down into the darkness. Dark, dark, yet darker… …Thankfully they’re saved from drowning in the well- -But now there’s no rain… and are those their toy skeleton dolls?!

I haven’t finished the rest so have part one of my unsorted UQQT notes.
Any rambling I’ve got to say is under the cut.
I’ve been revising the original Undertale game for a while since it’s such a gem and inspires me to me than I can describe. UnderQuest (or then known as QuestTale) was an au I made on a whim over five years ago that never came to much of anything.
Admittedly at the time I had not much beyond some unsorted ideas and designs of the main cast. (save for Toriel and Asgore but for some reason I had Napstablook and Mettaton down??)
Since I’m revisiting that old idea and revamping it (along with some more new stuff) I thought I’d make little sheets dedicated to ideas before I flesh the story out completely.
I do plan to remake what little I had of the UQQT comic eventually, though it will take me some time.
UnderQuest belongs to me.

How would the battle between Makoto and Flowey look like in a neutral ending? If Frisk falls after Makoto has spent several days (weeks?) in the Underground, will they leave together in that ending? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Oh boy, fun question.
So, the buildup to this is, Makoto has been living in the house next to Napstablook (Mettaton's old house) and just generally being a social entity in the Underground for some length of time. Like, I'm thinking from-Hope's-Peak-age-to-SDR2-age. (Though neither Hope's Peak nor SDR2 is canon in this AU, of course.) Or maybe just the length of the time gap between THH and SDR2. Basically, I'm imagining at least a year has passed, because Makoto doesn't think it's fair to have to kill a monster to leave, so he's trying to find another way.
And he's been keeping a pot of well-fertilized soil in his house, for Flowey to visit.
Flowey, who has been bored with the Underground for a while now, has been getting a lot of enrichment from the changes Makoto brings. Past humans all eventually reached the point of getting killed by Asgore (except Nagito, who died some other way). Makoto is the first human to really move in and spend this much time living among the monsters without deciding to take their chances with Asgore and the Barrier, and he's given Flowey new stuff to do and new interactions to have. He's not satisfying Flowey, but he's something.
When Frisk arrives, the Ruins portion of their walk is the same as in Undertale canon (Pacifist Route), except Napstablook vanishes when they approach (like in certain No Mercy Routes) without doing the initial Napstablook fight, because he sees another human in the Underground and pretty much immediately goes to tell his next door neighbor, Makoto.
(This is way more than you asked, but I promise at least some of it is going to be relevant.)
Flowey is stalking Frisk like he does in Undertale canon, but he also takes the time to "chat" with Makoto.
"Sooo," he says from his flower pot, while Makoto is getting ready to leave the house. "Looks like someone already told you the news. Your nasty habit of dodging bullets continues."
"Have you met the new human?" Makoto asks.
"Met them? Yeah, you could say that."
Ghost Nagito observes, "That's a new tone."
"What's that mean?" Makoto asks.
"Listen up, Old Human, because this is your only warning: Don't interfere. This world is-"
"Kill or be killed?" Makoto guesses. "You know I don't agree with that."
"Buddy, I don't care what you agree with. If you value your SOUL, don't interfere. I'm playing with the New Human, and there's no need for you in our games." He sinks into the flowerpot and vanishes.
"Rude," Nagito says.
Makoto goes to help Frisk. With the River Person's help, he's able to meet them in Snowdin Forest. (I imagine Flowey tries to keep them from meeting by subtly sabotaging things, similar to how he deactivates puzzles in canon if Frisk kills everyone, but Makoto's luck stymies his efforts, and he is able to meet up with Frisk.)
General story and character stuff happens, but the main point is, Makoto tells Frisk pretty much right away that the only way to pass through the barrier is to kill a monster, and he tells Frisk that he and Alphys have been working on a way around that problem. Mostly Alphys, he readily admits, but he's been learning and helping where he can! Honestly, he undersells his role in things.
(Alphys still hasn't showed him the True Lab, because she's still too ashamed, especially now that he's friends with everyone, but he's convinced her to at least study what she can about him and his SOUL.)
Those who believe that Alphys can still have a breakthrough pretty much agree to leave Frisk alone, but those who are too demoralized to hope for that continue to see Frisk as a disposable human compared to Everyone's Friend Makoto. Those guys are pretty much plotting to take Frisk to Asgore or kill Frisk themselves as soon as Makoto leaves them alone.
(Sans is actually an interesting factor there, hope-wise, but for the purposes of this post, the only thing that matters is that he doesn't interfere with the journey and also doesn't meaningfully help, in either direction, when people are conspiring against Frisk.)
Makoto helps Frisk to settle down, sharing his house with them. Basically being a big brother to them. They like him. For a while– maybe a week, maybe a month –it seems like Frisk will be willing to wait for Makoto and Alphys to figure out a different way to break the Barrier.
But one day, Frisk goes to Asgore's palace on their own. Seems like they really want to go home, even knowing it will cost their life or Asgore's.
The Asgore fight happens while Makoto is rushing to the palace trying to stop Frisk, and he arrives at the palace just as Flowey steals the SOULs. Both Makoto and Frisk black out from the sheer eruption of power.
Makoto wakes up completely wrapped in Photoshop Flowey's vines. He's being held aloft, his feet far off the ground, his whole body in Flowey's hold.
Blearily, he sees Frisk standing opposite the unearthly creature Flowey has become, staring up at the flower's face with determination.
"Wait!" Makoto croaks out. "Guys, don't fight! Where is everybody?"
"Pipe down," Flowey says, his voice reverberating in the space. "This is between me and Chara. I would have taken your SOUL, too, if I weren't so full already."
"No you wouldn't have," Makoto says. And he adds, "Frisk, are you oka-?" But he's interrupted by a vine that gags his mouth.
"Oh, just shut up already, idiot!" Flowey exclaims. "Always in the way!" (He didn't want to hear Frisk's actual name. Because this is between him and Chara.)
From there, Flowey tries to have a normal Photoshop Flowey fight with Frisk, and means for Makoto to watch helplessly (like, it's a dual-purpose "sibling fight" with Frisk and an attempt to prove to Makoto that ultimately the world is kill or be killed).
In actuality, the fight ends up half as long, at most, because while Frisk is doing their normal part of the fight, Makoto is struggling and biting and doing what he can from his limited vantage point. He isn't given freedom of movement, like Frisk, which is fitting since his SOUL is a different color from theirs.
The mechanics for Makoto's side of things are a combination of purple SOUL mechanics (perseverance; the same mechanics as the Muffet battle, where the SOUL jumps between different strands instead of moving freely) and green SOUL mechanics (kindness; the same mechanics as the Undyne battle, where the SOUL must shield itself from attacks).
The reason the fight is half as long is, Makoto is also getting help from the SOULs Flowey stole. So, Makoto has a fight phase where, on a literal level, he's getting enough of the vines off himself that he can call for help, and then once he calls for help, he frees one of the six human SOULs. Presumably he gets three and Frisk gets three; it could be four and two if one of them is working faster, but the specifics there don't matter. Whatever the case, it means more than one SOUL is being taken from Flowey's influence at a time.
When all of the SOULs are free from Flowey, Makoto gets free of the vines and goes to fight beside Frisk. Makoto still has his green soul shield mechanics, and he uses them to protect Frisk from Flowey's attacks, where he can.
And he's trying to talk to Flowey, but everything is so fast and loud and also Flowey periodically goes a thing where he strikes the ground and causes a shockwave that throws Makoto back several feet. He tries to tangle Makoto in his vines again, but it doesn't work when Makoto is awake to stop him.
Eventually, they get Flowey down to his minimum level of HP, at which point he does that little dramatic "You...! You...!" and then brings himself to full health, like, "You idiots."
He kills them both over and over again. I'm tempted to let Makoto's luck interfere, there, but let's say it doesn't. Flowey does that thing where he kills them and brings them back, just to show that he can, then he surrounds them with bullets.
"You really though you could get out of this that easy?" Flowey says, and though he's been focusing on Frisk this whole time, now he seems focused on Makoto.
(Makoto's slightly injured and maybe has a nosebleed.)
"You still think you can cooperate your way out of the Underground?" Flowey laughs cruelly. "No. Your little friend wanted to leave, and they were ready to kill to do it. So how about this: one of you gets to live and move on to the Surface, while one of you stays right here and dies to me as many times as I want. And your old pal Flowey will even let you choose which one's which. Whoever asks first. Whoever can be the first one to ask me to let them leave, they're free to go. Free to let the other one ROT!"
Makoto and Frisk meet each other's eyes. They're still panting from the fight (and the multiple rapid-fire deaths they've both endured), and despite all the time they spent together, there exists a discomfort on the air. A slight tension, as if on some level they're still meeting each other for the first time. It's not distrust, but it's a lot of other things. Frisk's shame, their fear that Makoto thinks they'll do it, their worry that they might deserve to be betrayed. And Makoto's concern, his apprehension, his acute awareness of the unfairness of the situation.
The SOULs are all free at this point. They could turn on Flowey, could end this. But Makoto can sense that they're waiting, watching. They want to know if Flowey is right. They want to see what will happen.

Hey there! It's been a while, huh? I'm sorry for my absence, but life got in the way.
Anyway,
I came up with some concepts and ideas about the Hazbin Hotel x Undertale AU of @discofama !
Charlie:
-She's seven years old.
-Charlie's an half-human half-monster Hybrid. While she has a human appearance, her pupils are much more pointy, but she can show her monster form when she's feeling really strong emotions.
-She didn't have a family back on the surface. She lived in an orphanage all her life and she wasn't well-seen by the others.-
-She went to Mount Sheol to find answers about her origins.
Lucifer:
-King of the monsters with a Goat appearance. While he's still silly like in the original show, he's also much more present in his Kingdom, even if only by afar.
-He still loves rubber ducks.-
-He and Lilith had an amazing and loving relationship, but it became strained after "the incident".
-He was very close and had a friendly rivalry with Adam, but after "the incident", their relationship became cold and only professional.
-He was an amazing Uncle to ---- and ---- and was their favorite babysitter.
-He misses his child a lot.
Lilith:
-The only human that decided to stand by the monsters' side during the war, and that's why she was locked in the Underground along with all Monsterkind.
-She's the Caretaker of the ruins.
-While she doesn't like humans, she has a soft spot for children.
-She always wanted to become a Singer.
-She used to sing lullabies to ---- and ---- to help them fall asleep.
-She loved Lucifer very much and was the reason why she decided to fight alongside Monsters.
-She and Adam had a sibling-like bond, but she hasn't seen him in a long time.
-She hopes her child is safe.
Alastor:
-A deer monster that has something to Hide.
-He has Flowey's role in the story. While he doesn't Attack Charlie and helps her a few times, in the story there are hints that he's actually trying to get rid of her. What are his real intentions...?
-He's a good friend with Rosie and a father figure to Niffty.
Molly:
-She has Napstablook's role. She spends most of the time in the ruins and misses her Brothers alot.
Vaggie:
-She has Papyrus' role. She's a kid Monster with the appearance of a Siberian Husky, who wishes to become part of the Royal Guard to protect others.
-Her real name is Vagatha. But Adam calls her "Vagina" to tease her.
-Adam and Lute are both like mentors to her, even though they both can be difficult in their own ways.
-She's very good at fighting.
-Adam taught her to play the Guitar. She's not bad at it, but not good either.
-She may be just a kid, but she's more competent than the Royal Guards at times.
The Royal Guard:
-The Exorcists have the role of the canine Royal Guards. They're all dog monsters.
-They all adore Adam and want to make him proud.
-They love being petted!
-They have a group special attack: THE ROYAL PUPPY DOG EYES!
Moony:
-She has Monster Kid's role. She's the First Exorcist that got killed by Carmilla in the show.
-She's a dog Monster with the appearance of a Golden retriever.
-She's five years old.
-She looks up to Adam and Lute a lot.
Adam:
-He's the Captain of the Royal Guards. A dragon Monster who you don't want to mess with.
-Has a deep hatred for humans and is very mocking and violent while attacking Charlie. He has his reasons, though...
-He still loves playing the Guitar and loves rock music. His guitar, just like in the original show, can turn into an ax.
-Adam and Lucifer weren't friends at first. Adam became really bitter, because he thought Lucifer was going to take away his wife and he was afraid to lose her, so he challenged him to a battle but he couldn't hit him even once (Similar to Undyne and Asgore) Adam felt very humiliated, but Lucifer offered to train him so he could beat him one day. The more the training went on, the more the two bonded, and when Adam was finally able to hit Lucifer, he felt... Bad, very bad. But Lucifer was super happy and proud of Adam. And that's when they officially became friends.
-Him and Lucifer were close and had a friendly rivalry. Everytime they met, they would attack eachother, in trying to get the other off guard (Much like Meliodas and Ban from The Seven Deadly Sins)
-He loved his wife very much. He was also a good, protective dad.-
-He cares about Lute alot, she was the one who got him out of his depressive state after "The Incident".
-He sees Vaggie as a daughter and really doesn't want her getting hurt again. That's why he's hesitant about letting her in the Royal Guard.
-He often wonders where Lilith went. He won't admit it (yet), but he misses her.
-Deep down, he's actually a softie.
Lute:
-Adam's Liutenant, a german shepherd Monster that appears cold and ruthless.
-She hates humans too for what they did to Monsterkind and because of "The Accident".
-She and Adam fight together most of the time, and have synchronized attacks.
-She's secretely in love with Adam, but doesn't want to push him to have a relationship with her.
-She cares about Vaggie and sees lots of strenght and potential in her, but thinks that she's too merciful and it might get her killed.
-The oldest of the Royal Guards, along with Adam. She thinks the others can be too childish at times.-
Sir Pentious:
-The Underground's Royal Scientist and inventor. He's a snake monster.
-The Egg Boys are basically his children, since they were his first ever science experiment and he used a bit of his DNA to make them.
-He has a crush on Cherri Bomb, despite her destroying his work most of the time.
-He has a difficult friendship with the Vees.
The Vees:
-They're the stars of the Underground. Vox is still a TV, Velvette is a doll monster and Valentino is still a moth.
-They're less cruel and evil than the Canon Vees.
-They want Charlie's soul to go on the surface and become stars there too.
✨✨✨I hope you guys like it!✨✨✨

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Victorian steampunk inspired — asriel and chara in victorian clothes, modern characters in more steampunk styles
Flowers directly related to magic — more magic, more flowers grow
Too much magic, too many flowers can grow and cause breathing problems, hyper awareness and paranoia.
too little and the flowers will take too much energy leading to fatigue and lowered pain resistance.
Flowers can adapt based on people’s lives? eg can be born with daisys (innocence) but later they grow into something else?
Chara and frisk - the humans - don’t have any flowers bc the flowers are caused by magic, however i’m planning for when frisk falls — if they do the pacifist route, they will gain a flower associated with the characters, like at the end of the ruins, when toriel hugs them, she tucks a wood sorrel or moss behind their ears so she’ll be there with them the entire way etc?
maybe the monsters dust like canon but the flowers continue growing where they died? so it would be like a city/town/village/area overgrown by nature by the end of geno? they disappear at a true reset but not at a softer reset like the end of neutral?
maybe a stupid idea, but every time flowey goes somewhere he died and regrows? so he leaves a wilted flower behind for a few mins before it dusts?
Frisk and Chara designs
So I've had this thought in my head for a while... Eh, screw it!
Skeletwins AU: Introverts or Extroverts?
Sans/Lento - Generally, he's an ambivert. He's certainly less extroverted than Presto. He enjoys his alone time. He's prone to overthinking and shutting himself away, particularly when he's upset. But on the other hand, he's very social and outgoing, especially when he's happy. He's chatty and doesn't mind being the centre of attention, which he often is at Grillby's. So yeah, ambivert.
Papyrus/Presto - He's a very socially awkward extrovert. Poor Papyrus, he just wants to have a lot of friends but he doesn't know how to make them. Though I think his extroversion is pretty obvious. His character arc is centered around his desire to make lots of friends, after all. He also hates being alone.
Undyne - Extrovert. She's the active and hotheaded leader of the Royal Guard, after all! She's a caring leader when it comes down to it.
Alphys - Introvert. She's Alphys! Social events tire her out. Whether it's because of her anxiety or because people tire her out is up for debate, though... Eh, I'm 99.99% sure she's an introvert.
Asgore - He's actually pretty tough, but I'm gonna go with extrovert here. It has been said that he likes to walk around and talk to people a lot, even doing silly things like dressing up as Santa at Gyftmas. And I'm kind of under the impression that maybe he doesn't like to be alone? Because if he's alone... He has to think about his sins...
Mettaton - Extrovert. Blatant extrovert. Come on.
Napstablook - They're both introverted and depressed. The two are different things.
Monster Kid - An extroverted kid who would talk to just about anyone, especially about Undyne.
Grillby - I can see Grillby as the type of guy who likes reading books in an armchair beside an open fire that he lit up himself, listening to rain sounds on the radio after a long day at work. But that's an introvert stereotype. Eh, whatever, he's an introvert.
Dogamy and Dogaressa - I think they're both extroverts, but in my AU, Dogaressa's just a little more outspoken than Dogamy is.
Doggo - Introvert. Most of the time, he just wants the twins to stop bothering him.
Lesser Dog and Greater Dog - They're both extroverts, but I can see Greater as more extroverted than Lesser is. Lesser would be more than happy to show off her art, though!
Jerry - He comes across as an ambivert to me. Like, he WANTS company... Sort of... Maybe... He's kind of hard to read.
Muffet - She's an extroverted spider lady who cares A LOT about her cause. She's not EVIL, per se... Though she does have a knack for traumatising people who don't buy her products. And maybe she kind of enjoys it a little too much... Huh.
Gerson - Hard to tell, but I'm leaning more towards introvert here. Sure, he's more than happy to share his stories, but he gives me more of a "reserved wise but forgetful old man" vibe here. The contemplative type, I could say.
(Spoilers for later on below)
Toriel - I don't know if she's introverted or just going through depression, but she's more reserved than Asgore is, so I'll put her as introvert.
Flowey/Asriel - Extrovert, believe it or not. Flowey's certainly extroverted in this AU, so Asriel was as well. Very emotional, though. Very emotional.
Frisk - They're very extroverted, actually. Again, I can't wait to write them. They're this little ball of chaos who loves goofy antics and has a twisted view of friendship. They're also pretty chatty in this AU, I might add.
Chara - They were an introvert, at least in this AU. They were reserved, only really talking to their family, would rather keep a low profile... No, misanthropy and introversion are not the same thing, though their misanthropy certainly helped... Kind of.
Au from Subtertale: Suteraychutertale.
Tumblr media
Story:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many years ago, the peaceful and harmonious coexistence between humans and monsters on the surface was strong, pure and perpetual but all that changed when a radical group of humans from Shymattiville spread tremendous hatred towards monsters which later led to a devastating war.
The humans rose to victory and drove the monsters from the surface and instead of exiling them underground, the humans used an artificial portal created by the scientists of Shymattiville to put the monsters inside the portal and send them to an ancient space station called: Asytorarisu Ebott, located 1,000,000 km from Earth.
Once the humans sent the monsters to the space station...the 7 human mages entered the portal and created a magic barrier around the station.
Many years passed and that station was rehabilitated and transformed by the monsters to turn it into a safe and prosperous home and also thanks to an invention of Alphys that collects energy from the stars and a part of the divine energy that Rocío granted them, the monsters became stronger, they developed impressive abilities.
Several years later, 7 astronauts between 20 and 29 years old from the Great State Center of Aeronautics and Space of Keteiville and Shymattiville that closed after what happened: The 7 astronauts traveled to the space station to do research on it and how the monsters lived inside it... but something inexplicable happened inside the station and all of them never returned to Earth. (The astronauts were the 6 souls and Chara).
A few years later...Lyra, a 19-year-old girl and Chara's younger sister (that's right in this Au Chara and Lyra are sisters) who loves astronomy and also knows a lot about aerospace engineering (but without being an expert) decides to build a small ship to travel to the station and look for her missing sister and also help the monsters return to Earth.
Days later...Lyra, after finishing building the ship...gets inside the ship and takes off towards the station...but something unexpected happens...the ship runs out of fuel and crashes into the station.
Lyra gets out of her ship that has been broken after the impact and walks.
She arrives at the Ruins, inside the station.
Tumblr media
Routes of this Au:
Pacifist Route:
Lyra explores the station, helping the monsters overcome their emotional challenges and she also befriends the monsters and helps them return to Earth.
Finally, she convinces Asriel to break the barrier after fighting him and after breaking the barrier...Lyra fixes her ship and makes it bigger and the monsters and her get into the ship and return to Earth.
The ending of the Pacifist is the same as in Subtertale.
Neutral Route:
Lyra accidentally kills some monsters, but lets other monsters live.
This route ends with Lyra fixing her ship and returning to Earth leaving the monsters locked in the station forever.
Genocide Route:
Lyra kills all the monsters, uses the power of souls and breaks the barrier by force.
After that...she fixes her ship and returns to Earth.
Station locations:
Furuy Ruins:
It's the same as in Subtertale.
24 monsters and Toriel live here.
(Toriel used to live in Yasashy New Home, meaning in the castle).
Yukhydin Garden:
A large garden of beautiful flowers of many colors.
And this garden is located before reaching the entrance to Yukhydin.
No monsters live here.
Yukhydin:
This place is a large floating city inside a glass dome that shows a spectacular view of space.
35 monsters and the skelebros: Sans, Stelliny and Papyrus live here.
On the outskirts of Yukhydin there are several houses where Undyne, Napstablook, Mettaton and the royal guard live.
Merankorikku Waterfall:
This place is an aquatic biome where there are flowers and aquatic plants.
No monsters live here.
Atsuytochi:
It is the same as in Subtertale.
45 monsters live here.
The Hexyn:
It is the core of the station, where the device that keeps the magic barrier intact and gives electricity to the station is located.
It is a dangerous and highly protected place.
No monsters live here.
Yasashy New Home:
It's the same as in Subtertale and here you can find another garden that is bigger than Yukhydin's garden and this garden only has golden flowers and sky blue flowers.
The only one who lives here is Asgore.
The Barrier:
A luminous and ethereal barrier located outside the castle and surrounding the station, made of magic and star fragments.
Tumblr media
Kamydley and Rocío in this Au are the same as Subtertale.
Welcome!
Hello! We are an adaptive system of 37 headmates! All of us share this blog together. You may know us from our old (obsolete) blogs, @dhundertale and @droughtale. This is our rebranded blog, with our rebooted series.
This page features two Undertale AUs, both of which take place in the same universe, just with slightly different circumstances. The descriptions of these AUs are lower down, if you wish to read a brief summary.
The first two pages of Defining Happiness are here.
Both AUs contain the same ships, so be warned and turn away if you do not like them. You will be blocked if you reblog or comment just to complain about the romances/QPRs.
Any of the ships listed that have more than two people are polyamory/ethical non-monogamy, not "love triangles".
The ships are the following:
Chariskriel (Chara x Asriel x Frisk)
Flowiskra (Chara x Asriel x Frisk)
Friskid (Frisk x MK)
Tuffet (Toriel x Muffet)
Sansgoriel (Sans x Asgore x Toriel)
Sansby (Sans x Grillby)
Papyton (Papyrus x Mettaton)
Mad Alphyne (Mad Mew Mew x Alphys x Undyne)
Chara and Frisk both use they/them in this AU. Napstablook uses they/them. MK uses both they/them and he/him. Mad Mew Mew (Maddie) uses she/her. Please respect that.
Please not deadname Mettaton or Maddie.
Also, in these two AUs, Flowey and Asriel are headmates, not the same person. They have shared memories (and a shared body/soul), but they are separate boys with their own thoughts and feelings.
--------------------------------------------
Defining Happiness/DH (Summary)
A fancomic series about our protagonists Frisk & Chara and their loved ones attempting to find freedom on the surface, and facing hardships of forming a lasting family. The story is told by Frisk of the future, passing the tale onto their niblings (nieces, nephews, niephews) and little siblings.
Follow Frisk as they study and fight to become the young ambassador for Monsterkind, join forces with the previously-hidden MHHR Association (Monster, Hybrid, Human Rights Association), battle the traumas formed by their past, face teenage development and romance, and struggle to maintain a relationship with their older sister, Celest.
--------------------------------------------
Drought & Devastation/Droughtale/DD (Summary)
A fanfiction series about our protagonists Celest & Michael, attempting to journey through a decaying underground, with the soul of Celest's sister (Frisk). While Celest is the older sister in Defining Happiness, in Droughtale Celest is aged down, becoming Frisk's younger sister instead.
(TW for physical abuse & cannibalism)
When Frisk (age 13) fell into the mountain, they rushed to get through the underground, to return home to their little sister Celest (age 9) and care for her, as the two of them lived with abusive parents. Frisk managed to complete a false pacifist run (leaving Asgore dead and Toriel the queen), intending to gather Celest from their home and return underground, knowing that Toriel would care for the two of them. However, upon arriving home, they failed to sneak inside and take Celest without notice. Their father caught them and began to beat them.
They attempted to reset, but found that their magic was no longer of use. (This is because human magic can only work in the presence of monster magic.) Instead, they were left with brain damage from the beating, and spent the rest of their childhood locked in the house with Celest, tending to her the best they could in their impaired state.
Upon adulthood, the two escaped together. Celest married her husband, Markson, and the two had a child Junebug (aka Frisk Junior.) Frisk passed away not long after, telling Celest to take their soul underground to free monsterkind (while being unaware that the other six souls were fully used up and lost during the fight with Omega Flowey.)
Celest traversed underground, only to find that it was no longer the wonderland Frisk had described to her, but instead a place of ruins, riddled with a magical drought that caused all monsters to have erratic, hallucinatory, and/or violent symptoms, and be thirsty for any magic - or liquid - that they could get their hands on...including the lifeforce of each other.
Through her journey to get back home to her husband and child, she seeks to discover the history of how such a magical place has come to such devastation.
Time to write descriptions/personalities of the characters in my work-in-progress Undertale AU, Oldertale. Oldertale's an AU where everyone is old.
SANS ------------ Sans has a very faded jacket in this AU, and he wears a monocle and requires the use of a walker to move around due to osteoporosis caused by aging. In the state that he is in, his attacks do zero damage and he can't form a bad time eye either. His personality is that of a nice grandpa, and he enjoys filling out crossword puzzles, puns, and being lazy. He still cares about his brother deeply, but he knows he can't do anything to protect him due to his age. ----- PAPYRUS - Papyrus, much like Sans, also has faded clothing, but he does not use a walker. He doesn't like puzzles anymore, he prefers watering the garden of plants he has planted in the Ruins. As such, he acts like the caretaker of the Ruins in this AU. Toriel is one of his closest friends, and he cares about her deeply. ------ TORIEL -
Toriel really likes cooking and knitting, and acts like the typical grandmother. Her clothing is faded and torn in some areas. She doesn't want to get up from her chair to stop you from leaving the Ruins, but she still cares about you. Much like Asgore, she is immortal. She just handles immortality a lot better than him. ----
ASGORE - Being immortal hasn't been the best on Asgore's mental health in this AU.. He's severely depressed, wants you to kill him, and keeps wondering why he can't die. All of the methods he has tried to end his suffering haven't worked at all. His clothes are severely ripped in some areas, he is always crying, and his trident is nowhere to be found. This poor fella is suffering a fate worse than death, and the only person he really hangs out with nowadays is Napstablook. ---- NAPSTABLOOK - He is just as depressed as Asgore is. He wants to die but can't. He has witnessed so many monsters fall down due to age, but yet here he is, unable to die. Even Mettaton didn't suffer this fate, as he died long ago. No amount of crying will save him from his current living situation. He will live until the end of the universe, and unlike Asgore, he has no one he can beg for death. He keeps repeating the words "please kill me" over and over and over again, but nobody ever responds to his cries.
--- METTATON - Not much is known about Mettaton, as he died long ago after fully bonding with his box form, which was made by Alphys. ----- ALPHYS -
Alphys has sadly died in this AU after they ran out of food for the Amalgamates. The Amalgamates ate them. -----
UNDYNE
-
Undyne has cracked and rusted armor, and they miss Alphys deeply. Due to age, the determination within them has worn down to the point where they can't become Undyne the Undying anymore. But despite that, they're surprisingly active, and they live in Waterfall now. --------------------------
That's all the characters I'm going to add here for now, and if this AU needs any improvement, lemme know
Note
As much as I enjoyed outertale pacifist it feels like to me all characterizations were flattened to make characters less "problematic." Alphys isn't lying to you anymore or hiding secret cosmic horror experiments. Mad Dummy is now reasonable and doesn't attack you if you're nice to the ghost in the ruins equivalent. Monster Kid now doesn't care if you're a human and hops to your defense when you fist meet before you save their life. And now Asgore isn't a child killer. Sure, I find it interesting how they've tried to invert character's dynamics without swapping their roles to make it an AU, but it's resulted in some things that just don't make sense. Like now Toriel is unreasonable for disavowing Asgore's child killing because he didn't actually kill anyone? Even though he explicitly lied to her (and everyone) about that? I like some of the changes they made but others (and especially the Toriel-Asgore inversion) feels off.
FR YEAH THATS WHAT IM SAYINNNNNGGGG. it puts the idea of having a perfect ending for everyone (except toriel ig bc fuck her even though she didn’t even do anything) as a priority before. An actual satisfying narrative and engaging characters?????? And xanam brought up smth that’s been on my mind ever since last night: erasing all the characters mistakes makes the story make zero sense. If all the humans are alive, if alphys never did the determination experiments, how does twinkly, and therefore the pacifist ending, exist???? Correct me if there’s a (good) explanation somewhere else but ughhhhhh this game does not justify its decisions to me ever.
Anyway! This part of th article from the creator really hammers it in
Tumblr media
“A route that has flawed characters confront their deep seated issues” where????? What issues??? Toriel is painted as having “isolation” “mess with her worldview” as if she isn’t just going off of the lie that asgore wanted her to believe for some reason. Mettatons issue is now that his family wants “the old him” back or whatever while completely ignoring how vile napstablook implying his ghost form is the “real him” is especially considering the transgender allegory at play. Alphys doesn’t do anything, she’s just a plot device. I could go on….. if you wanna make solely wholesome undertale stuff I have no issue w that! But trying to achieve that by recreating a game that so heavily centres around loss, mistakes, letting go and accepting change just does not work!!!!!
