The Same People (4/5) - ID version
Following are three black and white comics pages of characters from the anime Mob Psycho 100, each with an image description below it.
ID: Five panels.
First, the caption, "So that keeps happening," above several figures in the ruined shell of a building. One of them tilts her head back to shout, "Take five, people!" The rubble is rendered with some detail: plaster has cracked off the walls in sheets, cabinets are smashed with their guts scattered, a staircase has collapsed into a pile of junk. The workers are dressed in safety vests. They're carrying and raking in various kinds of rubble. A dumpster is already halfway full and there's so much left to clean up. At the boundary created by the building's foundation there are stakes marking the edges of the worksite. Tsubomi walks a path along one edge, trailing an arrow that says, "Walking home." She looks at one of the workers: Mob, who stands with his head tilted back, rake in one hand, small sweat drops flying off his face.
Second, Mob is facing into the site, away from Tsubomi, so when she comes up behind him to ask "You're volunteering with the cleanup people?" he jumps and says "Uh!"
Third, Mob looks over his shoulder at her, eyes wide, off-put. He's surrounded by the collapsed building and rubble. He says, "H-hi. Yeah. I'm responsible. Uh, for my community."
Fourth, Tsubomi leans her head forward. The trees and buildings behind her seem to lean forward too. She says, "Bet it felt good though." Mob's head is tilted back and his shoulders are off-center, like he's trying to hide. "I--I mean..."
Fifth, Mob stands with his shoulders and head lowered. His expression is a little strange but he is frank as he says, rubble peeking out from behind him, "...Yeah. I-- ...kinda. Yeah."
End ID.
ID: Five panels.
First, Tsubomi and Mob now face each other. Tsubomi tilts her head away to say, "But then there's the consequence. Always consequences." She looks frustrated. Mob looks resigned but a little satisfied to say to her, "Well, yeah."
Second, the ruined street is behind the pair as Mob leans on his rake and changes the subject, "Uh. How's moving?" Tsubomi pushes her hair behind her ear and smiles as she says, "Ha."
Third, a closeup of Tsubomi as she shrugs. A car and a telephone pole are tilted at sharp angles by the torn-up concrete behind her. "...bad, actually. I hate having to like, pack everything away." Her expression is frank.
Fourth, a closeup of Mob. He tilts his head to one side with an expression of sadness and recognition on. His gloved hands overlap one another on top of the handle of the rake.
Fifth, a long shot of the rubble again, Mob and Tsubomi in the corner. Mob, resting his chin on his hands again and looking down, asks, "Is the bad part shoving everything in a box, or is the bad part the empty room?" Tsubomi, also contemplative, looks off to say, "Huh. That's a good question." The rubble in the scene clears as you follow their speech bubbles, which are otherwise illegible, as if you were moving away from them, so you could still tell that they were talking even as they drifted into inaudibility.
End ID.
ID: Four panels.
First, the caption, "T-minus 48 hours. The Kageyama house." The panel is a wide shot of Tsubomi knocking on the Kageyamas' front door. There are little plants lining the edges of the house. Tsubomi stands just under the A-frame overhang, though it's not raining. She's wearing a jacket and pants.
Second, Ritsu opens the door. He stares slightly up at Tsubomi, brows furrowed but otherwise neutral in expression, as Tsubomi says, "Oh, sup, Ritsu. I just wanted to let the Kageyamas know that our house phone number isn't gonna change, in case Mob needs to get hold of me again."
Third, Ritsu just stands there. He maintains his furrowed brow. His eyes are off-center and slightly different sizes. He's surrounded by tentacles of circular lines in every direction. He is silent.
Fourth, Tsubomi walks away. "Okay bye!" This is a small panel. The view is from above the roof so Tsubomi is squashed, her face reduced to lowered eyelids and a resigned smile. From beneath the roof edge, unseen, Ritsu says, "I'll pass it along."
End ID.

-----------
A few paranormally uneventful days passed. Seohyun hadn't exactly opened up to the group of boys that she was now able to call friends, but she was slowly getting there. It was hard not to smile when one of them cracked a silly joke, and harder not to laugh when they had a battle of wits.
She was slowly getting used to her new school. She was past the stage of being a new kid and the students in her class had stopped giving her those looks. She was unnoticed, and she loved it.
Today, like every other morning, Seohyun got ready for school, tying her hair in a half ponytail, peeking out of the window to check if she should wear her glasses or cap today. She had to hide her eyes somehow, they always betrayed her. She didn't want anyone to think she liked to stare into the space. But then she shrugged and tossed her glasses in the bag, wearing her cap as she went to the kitchen.
Her mother was a very busy woman and she liked to spend almost all her day in her office. She was rarely home even if she had a day off anyway. So Seohyun just made herself some coffee, munching on some cookies as she waited for the coffee to become cool enough to drink.
"I still don't get why you let the housemaid go," Jiwoo popped out of nowhere and twirled around the kitchen.
"Well, I didn't entirely let her 'go'. She still comes by on the weekends, you already know that."
"But still! What's wrong with having food everyday?" Jiwoo pushed her dark red hair back as she tsk-ed at Seohyun.
"For one, I wanted to learn to cook, and the food she made was always too much for just me. I always had to throw it out or give it to someone before it went bad. Mom's never home to eat anyway."
"I actually hate your mom, no offence," Jiwoo looked at her and Seohyun shook her head, "I mean, what kind of a mother is she?"
"A woman married to her work with an abnormal child, I kind of understand why she's like this," Seohyun muttered.
"Nah, you're not abnormal. You're gifted. And you don't appreciate it enough."
"No offence, unnie, but ghosts are the company I'd rather not have," Seohyun rinsed her cup and placed it on the rack, taking her school bag and locking the door.
"What's wrong with me?" Jiwoo asked.
"You're one of the better ones, but only because you had temporary amnesia before you died and you still don't know who exactly you are and why you're a ghost!" Seohyun snorted at the weirdness of all this.
"You think I'd ever be able to recall? Or just be stuck with you forever?" Jiwoo asked.
"I'd rather you try to move around and find out who you are instead of making me look like I talk to myself."
"Ah, you pain me, child. It's all because you have new friends now and don't care about me anymore. Right, catto?"
The black cat, which Seohyun hadn't noticed earlier, meowed in response.
"And, here comes the pretty one," Jiwoo grinned and Seohyun looked in her direction to find San coming their way.
"Pretty one? Seriously?" Seohyun shook her head.
"I mean, they're all pretty, but I like this kid more-"
"Hey," San gave her a smile as he meowed to the cat, who gladly jumped in San's arm when he put them forward.
"This little-" Seohyun stopped, and San laughed. "She never comes when I ask!"
"She likes me more, it seems," San rubbed her forehead and she purred, and they walked in comfortable silence to school the rest of the way.
They almost reached the gates of the school but something Seohyun saw from the corner of her eye made her stop in her tracks.
It was a ghost, yet it was something else. It wasn't someone who had died recently for sure. The man, the ghost if you could call it that, was bitter.
"You okay?" San asked, looking in the direction Seohyun was looking in. To him, it seemed she was looking at a wall.
"Yeah, I-I'm okay. Why don't you go ahead? I'll be right back. I should take her too," Seohyun picked the cat from San's hand, "We don't want her roaming around the school and getting scared, do we now?"
San raised a suspicious brow at her, but nodded as he reluctantly went in.
The man tried approaching Seohyun first, but she motioned him to follow her and went to the backside of the school, where surely there would be very few people walking by at this time.
"State your business," Seohyun said, and the man actually looked taken aback, if his eyes could display some emotion.
Truth be told, Seohyun was always scared dealing with men ghosts and older ghosts in general. Since ghosts could touch her, they were as much of a threat to her as humans. And these old ghosts, the ones with skin that looked grey, almost as if the ghost had started decomposing too, were usually not in their right mind.
"I have waited decades to find the mediator," the man's eyes gleamed rather wickedly.
"Mediator?" Seohyun asked. A rather fancy term for someone who could see the dead. "And why did you have to wait decades?"
"Let's say the mediator supposed to sort my death out met with rather... unfortunate circumstances," the man cleared his throat but his voice was still hoarse as he said, "You have to come with me."
"Well, if you waited decades, can you wait a few more hours? I have school, and please do NOT disturb me during my class," Seohyun made sure her tone was polite as she said this, but the man grunted. Before he could try anything, she muttered an awkward bye and walked swiftly to the gates, letting the cat go. She didn't realize she'd been holding the cat for comfort.
San, who had just witnessed Seohyun talking to thin air from the other side of the road, sighed loudly as he walked slowly to the gates.
San hadn't meant to follow her, but he turned around after a few steps of walking to the building, hoping to offer to come along with her, but when he saw her stop in the middle of the road and look as if she was actually talking to someone, he paused. He knew he shouldn't, but he watched her. And he did not know what to make of it.
Was Seohyun crazy? Didn't look like it. If she was, she did a damn good job at hiding it. When San finally reached class, he saw Seohyun chatting with Jongho. Perfectly normal. Or was she?
San said nothing as he sat in his spot, but he felt her tap his shoulder. He turned around and she asked, "I thought you went to class, where were you roaming around?"
San stared at her light brown orbs, coming out of the trance when she blinked. "I just wanted to walk around a bit."
He saw her frown but then she nodded and went back to chatting with Jongho. San turned back in his seat, and throughout the classes, he kept wondering if that was the reason why she covered her face or eyes.
When school ended, Seohyun said she had to go somewhere and said bye. San made an excuse too and started to follow her. He was going to see for himself, what she was gonna do.
San knew it was impolite to do this. And he knew if she found out, she'd really be angry with him, maybe never talk to him again. This was supposed to be her secret for sure. She would probably never tell any one of them. He wasn't even sure what it was.
Seohyun led him to an abandoned warehouse, and he heard her say, "Why bring me here?"
She paused for a few second, looking around as if for help, and San ducked quickly behind the boxes before she could see her. He couldn't hear her now, but he did get bits about how it was creepy of 'him' to bring her to this place without warning her, and he didn't miss how she kept looking behind her, as if she was waiting for someone to appear or just didn't want to keep doing this.
Who was this 'him'? Her imaginary friend? A ghost? San shook his head, and got on his feet when he noticed her go inside the warehouse.
San crept up behind them, and couldn't believe what he saw.
The locked door somehow unlocked, somehow the chains fell and the door magically opened wide in front of her, without Seohyun having even moved a finger.
What was happening?
Seohyun was asked to come in the warehouse and she couldn't ignore the roaring of her gut that told her something was going to go really, really wrong. She had such a strong feeling some years ago too, and she had barely gotten away from her life then.
All her nerves screamed at her to run, anywhere, just not go in. Where was Jiwoo when she needed her? Seohyun was kind of furious how she was never there for her.
Seohyun watched the old man walk in, looking around, and before she entered, she turned her head once hoping she would see Jiwoo-
Instead, she felt her heart sink as she saw none other than San, attempting to hide as their eyes met.
"Come in now, don't keep me waiting," the man grumbled, and Seohyun shouted an okay to him before she looked at San, hoping to warn him with her eyes as she put a finger to her mouth, telling him not to make a sound and motioning him to stay where he was.
Seohyun went inside, her heart slamming against her chest. This wasn't supposed to happen. San must think she's crazy or worse. Her mind made a mental list of how many ways this could go wrong.
"I used to think mediators ran in the family. But the one who was supposed to help me, he did not have any offspring. I spent so many years in ignorance, not knowing that it was completely random. Just like god picking up a needle in the haystack."
"Cut to the chase. What do you want with me and why bring me here?"
"I have forgotten why I died. And I want to move on. But I can't because I don't remember why I am still here. Someone told me there were various other ways to move on... Let's say I had to try."
As soon as Seohyun saw the growing smirk on the man, she knew it was time to run the hell away. But several bottles came flying at her, and she barely dodged them as they crashed on the wall next to her.
"You don't have to do this! It's wrong! I help dead people move on, there must be a way other than stupid violence-"
But the man waved another hand and now the boxes came flying at her. She was grabbed by the arm and pulled against someone, and she sighed in both relief and horror as she saw it was San.
"Are you stupid! You'll get hurt!" She yelled at him. He just took her hand and ran towards the shelves, hoping to hide from whatever it was that sent flying objects in the air. He almost dragged her until he was sure he was quite away from whatever it was.
"What the hell is happening?" San asked through his teeth.
"Why did you even follow me? Are you stupid?"
"Who is it?" San's grip on her wrist tightened as his eyes searched around.
"It's a ghost, San. Do you believe me?" Seohyun asked, waiting for a snide remark.
"From what I've seen? Sure," San muttered, and Seohyun wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic.
"He's near. Let's move," Seohyun said, and this time, she grabbed San's hand as she led him through the various shelves that lined the warehouse, glad they weren't empty.
A blast shocked them, making them jump in the air as they realized the shelves were collapsing one by one.
"Shit, shit, shit!" Seohyun ran, San matching her pace and she ran her eyes around, finally finding a place to hide. It was a narrow passage between huge containers. Seohyun looked at her options. The man was blocking the entrance so now they could just hide and pray for help or... die. If that's the worst that was to come.
Seohyun dragged San with her to the narrow passage, both of them barely fitting in the small dark place. Now they were side to side but San's body was still half out, so Seohyun pulled him closer, until he was almost in front of him. Since the passage was so narrow and short, there wasn't much gap between them.
San was a bundle of nerves and all, his heart beating wildly. "What's going on-"
"Shh," Seohyun whispered, putting a hand on his mouth to shut him up, "I'll explain everything later, I promise."
San nodded, taking off her hand from his mouth but not leaving it. Seohyun was too busy concentrating on where the man was to notice it. He saw her wince, and she looked at San with apologetic eyes.
"If something happens to us, I'm sorry, San. I'll do my best to save you. The man-the ghost is after me. I don't know why," Seohyun sighed, and San squeezed her hand assuringly.
"I'm with you. Nothing will happen," he whispered, thinking he must sound stupid to say that. But it must have given her some sort of assurance. She put her head on San's chest, sighing again.
The two of them heard the sounds of things getting destroyed alright, Seohyun hearing the man as well, and Seohyun almost cried in relief as she heard Jiwoo whisper her name.
"I can teleport you, but what about him-"
"Either we both go, or we both stay," Seohyun said firmly. She wasn't going to leave him alone.
"Go where?" San asked. Seohyun told him her friend was here and she could help.
Jiwoo looked at Seohyun and a slow grin appeared on her face. "There is something I could try..."
"What?" Seohyun narrowed her eyes at Jiwoo.
"What if I teleport you, but you're still holding San? Would he come with us?"
"I don't know, unnie..." Seohyun trailed, but an idea stuck to her. "It's the same as when I have something with me right? A bag, a cap, something. But that's objects. What about actual humans?"
"Remember when we accidentally teleported our cat once? It was holding on to you and you had forgotten. What if this works?"
Seohyun bit her lip. It was worth a try. "If it doesn't work, promise me we'll come back to San right then."
"But your body can't handle too many teleportations-"
"Promise me," Seohyun insisted, and Jiwoo rolled her eyes as she nodded. "Hurry up, he's closer."
"San, listen to me carefully," Seohyun said. "You know what teleportation is, right?"
San wanted to ask her if now was really the time, but he said yes- from the movies, and she continued, "I'm gonna attempt to teleport you along with me. My friend is gonna do that. You have to trust me."
"No way," San muttered, sighing deeply.
"Yes, you were stupid and brave enough to follow me, so yes, we are teleporting. I've done it before, but I've never teleported someone... normal with me, so this might not work. So if I disappear, and you're here all alone, I promise you, San, that I'll be back within a minute, okay?"
"How am I supposed to make sense of all you're saying?" San's eyes were helpless.
"Just... trust me. I won't leave you alone. I promise. Now, I have to, er, hold you, so she can teleport us. Gotta make sure I take you with me..."
Seohyun heard Jiwoo snicker, and she passed her a death glare. San, tempted to roll his eyes, held her hands.
"I'm afraid I'll have to hold you tighter. You see, when we teleport, we tend to lose what we're not holding tightly..."
"Oh..." San left her hands, and Seohyun muttered 'here goes nothing' as she wrapped her arms around San's waist, surprised that it was so small.
"Hold me tightly, and no matter what, do not let me go, you understand?"
"Yes ma'am," San said as he bent down to place his chin on her shoulder and bring her closer. "This okay?"
"Yes," Seohyun realized she was holding her breath, so she said, "Take a deep breath, San."
San did so, and Jiwoo smirked a little, watching two scared children hug each other. She came forward, holding Seohyun only, and did her magic.
San felt his stomach twist and turn, saw a million colourful stars, almost got nauseous but his only comfort was Seohyun so he held her tighter and shut his eyes. He didn't open them again until he landed on hard ground, his back aching with the impact.
He opened his eyes and saw... nothing.
He wasn't sure if he was blind or not, but he looked down and saw Seohyun half on top of him, attempting to get up, and he realized he had his vision all right.
"Where the hell," Seohyun got up, "are we?"
"I guess your body could only attempt a half trip," Jiwoo said, and San instantly turned at the voice, making eye contact with the red haired girl.
"That's the ghost friend that teleported us?" San asked Seohyun.
"You can see her!?" Seohyun asked, and San looked at Jiwoo.
"I wasn't supposed to see her, was I?" He raised his brow, and Seohyun looked at Jiwoo.
"Hey, kid, nice to officially meet you," Jiwoo said, holding out a hand to him so he could stand up. San tried to take it, but his hand passed through Jiwoo's hand, and he gasped.
"I guess you can only see then," Seohyun bit her lip as she looked around. "Is this where ghosts come when they... move on?"
"That's where I come when I'm not on planet Earth," Jiwoo said, "It's like another plane, you could say, another dimension overlapping ours, except this one is for ghosts."
"What now? Should we try again?" Seohyun asked, coughing a bit.
"You should take a breather first. Your body can't handle it," Jiwoo nodded at her and Seohyun sat down on the ground, putting her head over her knees as she brought them closer, shivering a little. Jiwoo was right, something was happening to her. Like a cold coming to her.
"Is she okay?" San asked Jiwoo, and she shrugged. San ran his fingers through his hair as he looked around, finding no source of light that illuminated the area around them.
So Seohyun wasn't crazy. Somehow, though it made no sense, she could see ghosts, she could touch them. San looked at Jiwoo and opened his mouth to ask something, but then thought against it. Now was not the time.
"I know you have a lot of questions," Jiwoo commented, "Let's try to get out of here first before we have the talk."
"Has she... ever brought someone here?" San asked.
"This is the first time she came here too," Jiwoo said, "Usually when a ghost teleports her, it's quick and efficient. Much like you see in movies or books."
"We should get out of this place quick. I don't want him to come find us here," Seohyun said, getting up.
"Are you sure you're okay? Can you make it back?" Jiwoo asked.
"I have to," Seohyun said.
Jiwoo nodded, and Seohyun looked at San for permission. San came forward and they both held each other tight as Jiwoo attempted to teleport them again.
This time, they landed on soft grass, but the impact with which they did sent them rolling a bit. San's breath was knocked out of him and he coughed loudly, gasping for breath. As soon as he recovered, he looked for Seohyun-
Seohyun was bent rather awkwardly, and it looked like she wasn't moving. San and Jiwoo both rushed to her, straightening her body. Jiwoo checked if she was breathing.
"She is breathing. She must have collapsed from being tired, don't worry, it's happened before too," Jiwoo assured him.
San sighed, looking up at the sky, wondering what he had gotten himself into. He looked around, finding the place familiar.
"Is this... the park near our school?" San asked Jiwoo.
"Yes, I tried to teleport us as close to Seohyun's home as possible, but looks like we could only make it till here."
"What if someone had seen us appear out of thin air?"
Jiwoo laughed. "They'd probably run for their lives. You'd be aliens."
San smiled a little at that. That's exactly what he would have thought if he had seen Seohyun.
"So are you... Seohyun's friend?" San finally asked.
"You could say that. I'm older than her so she always calls me unnie, but I keep telling her to call me Jiwoo."
"Then I'll call you noona," San smiled, making Jiwoo grin.
"She helps ghosts move on. When someone dies and they have unfinished business that they just can't leave behind, they sometimes choose to become ghosts until they get done with that. Seohyun helps them do that."
"That must be hard..." San wondered if it was always as bad as this time.
"It is, but what happened today is not a common occurrence. The man she saw today, he's been dead for a good while and has forgotten his purpose here. I once heard the other ghosts talk about him too. Ghosts like that, you have to avoid them. They're bitter, and usually mean Seohyun harm."
"So now... I can see you, does that mean I'll be able to see other ghosts too?"
"You'll find out soon," Jiwoo said.
Seohyun woke up with a gasp, her eyes wide. Jiwoo helped her sit up, and Seohyun muttered 'water'. San quickly opened Seohyun's bag and fished out her bottle, which she drank hungrily from, some water spilling down her chin as well.
"Slow down, kid," Jiwoo patted her back. Seohyun emptied the whole bottle, wiping her chin, then felt something run down her nose.
"Nosebleed. Do you have tissues?" Jiwoo asked and Seohyun shrugged, looking upwards and holding her nose. Jiwoo searched through her bag but San took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Seohyun.
"Does this usually happen?" San asked.
"No... it's the first time," Jiwoo admitted. Seohyun nodded too. "When we accidentally teleported the cat with her, she became dehydrated, but that was it."
Seohyun wiped her nose, looking at Jiwoo and she gave her a thumbs up.
"I shouldn't have followed you..." San shook his head, "It's because of me that-"
"You shouldn't have, but I'm kind of glad you did. Jiwoo is unreliable as a ghost friend and who knows what would have happened to me if you were not there? I could have died," Seohyun said nonchalantly.
"HEY!" Jiwoo smacked her arm but Seohyun ignored her.
"But look at you-" San was cut by Seohyun putting her hand up and saying, "I need food, and I mean NOW."
A few minutes later, they were watching Seohyun hungrily gulp down noodles and fried chicken. San had stopped eating midway just to watch her eat with a speed he hadn't ever seen before.
"Are you sure you're even chewing?" He asked, and Seohyun glared at him.
"The food is not going anywhere, Seohyun, slow down," Jiwoo laughed, "seeing you eat like this is making me wish I could eat too."
"Okay, mom," Seohyun said, finally slowing down. They ate the rest of the food silently, then Seohyun decided she'd like some coffee. They decided to walk her home as she sipped on her coffee and answered San's questions.
"Have you ever told anyone?" San asked first.
"Never. My mom only knows because she's, well, my mom and it's weird when a little kid sees stuff nobody else does."
"And what has she done about this?" San wasn't sure if he should have asked this.
Seohyun sighed, "She tried to 'help' me, but then she decided avoiding me was the best way. So now she's married to her work."
"And your dad?"
"He's never been here in the first place."
"Oh..." San faltered, but saw Seohyun shrug. "You can ask me anything, San. You deserve an explanation. Don't hesitate."
"Why can you see ghosts?"
"I don't know that either," Seohyun smiled as she looked at the sky. "Born this way?"
"Would you have ever told us?" San asked. Seohyun stopped walking at that, and faced him.
"To be honest, I've never made friends, San, because of this reason. That someone would find out. They'd never believe me, they'd think I'm crazy. So I don't know if I would have told you guys, ever," Seohyun paused, "But you found out, and you witnessed everything. What do you think?"
San scratched his neck. "I think you're right. I don't think any of us would have believed you. We'd have dismissed it as a joke. But now that I did see everything... It's different now. I hope you understand that."
"You sure you don't want to, I don't know, ever talk to me and all?"
San smiled. "You think I'd abandon my friend just like that?"
Seohyun couldn't help but stare at San, his sharp eyes that grew warmer every time he smiled, how they slightly curved.
"I want you to know that if it was anyone of us, and they had seen what I had seen, they would have never abandoned you. We don't take our friendships lightly."
"That's... good to hear," Seohyun finally smiled. "Do you think they'd believe us if we tell them?"
"They'd need some convincing, but yes, they would. Do you want to tell them?"
"Not yet," Seohyun said, "When the time is right."
San nodded, and squeezed her hand. "If you're ever in danger, you tell me, okay? If you need anyone, or anything, you tell me, got it? You don't have to face this alone anymore."
Seohyun almost cried right there, but she held it back, squeezing his hand back and nodding. They walked a few minutes until she finally reached home.
"Thank you, San. For everything." Seohyun smiled at him, and this time it was a true smile. San was actually taken aback. It felt like she had truly smiled for the first time, unfiltered.
"Anytime," San managed to say, and watched her go in. He took a deep breath, trying to shake off the image of Seohyun smiling, but found himself smiling too.
Meanwhile, Seohyun collapsed as soon as she entered, and she allowed herself to cry, both happy and sad tears, happy that someone finally understood her, and sad that it hadn't happen earlier. Jiwoo sat down with her, silently rubbing her back.
----------------
Seohyun almost slept in the next day, only woken up for school when Jiwoo threw her off the bed for 'sleeping like a sloth'. She couldn't exactly blame her. Seohyun had been so tired that after crying her heart out, she'd only had the energy to change before she collapsed on her bed and slept without moving an inch.
"My whole body hurts like I did some major workout," Seohyun mumbled as she tried running towards school, but gave up. She'd just walk.
"I don't recall you having such after effects after a teleportation," Jiwoo wondered.
"When it's just me, I'm only drained a bit. Like running. But even when I took the cat accidentally, my head hurt a lot. This time it was a whole human."
"Maybe because they aren't meant to be there," Jiwoo shrugged, meowing at the cat who appeared out of nowhere as usual. "Sometimes I think you might have transferred this teleportation thing to your cat too."
"Except 'I' can't teleport. You ghosts can," Seohyun corrected. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't tried teleporting herself home from school. How cool would that have been?
Jiwoo picked the cat and quickly passed it to Seohyun so no one would witness a flying cat. Seohyun draped her over her shoulder so Jiwoo could play with her. As they were walking, they saw San standing in a corner. He waved, then joined them.
"Hi noona," he said, and Jiwoo tried poking San but her hand went through him.
"I guess you can still only see," Jiwoo shook her head, continuing to pet the cat.
"You can touch the cat? And she sees you?" San asked, curiously watching them.
"Ever since we accidentally teleported her, I can touch her. But I'm pretty sure she could see me before too. All cats can, I think."
"Interesting..."
"Were you... waiting for us or something?" Seohyun finally asked.
"I was. I couldn't sleep last night, truth be told. I kept thinking about what happened. In fact, I'm surprised I didn't freak out..."
"I'm more surprised about that," Seohyun admitted.
"Meanwhile Seohyun here slept as soon as she reached home and I had to wake her up for school too," Jiwoo flipped her hair dramatically. Seohyun scoffed at that.
"You must be very tired... Are you okay?" San asked.
Seohyun nodded, and before she could say something they heard someone calling their names. It was Wooyoung and Yeosang. They joined them, Wooyoung putting his arm over San's shoulder as he said, "You're early today. You usually come in last minute."
"I woke up early today," San said casually, his eyes darting towards Seohyun unconsciously. Yeosang noticed that, trying to stop the smile creeping on his mouth as he looked between Seohyun and San. Seohyun gave him a warning glare, one she made sure was strong enough.
As they waited for class to start, Seohyun was resting her head on the desk. She couldn't quite believe the fact that someone now knew who she was, and was not disgusted or freaked out by her. She couldn't stop wondering what the future would be like, what if this group of boys would really get her to warm up to them, and how they would react if they found out.
San turned around in his seat, a frown growing on his face as he noticed how tired she looked. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Just very, very tired," Seohyun sighed, lifting her head.
"What if the ghost-man comes here?" San asked.
"Oh. I'd totally forgotten about him..." Seohyun bit her lip, "Well, he knows better not to make a scene in front of people, so chances are he won't."
"Chances? That ghost was dangerous!" San hissed, "What if he does come here?"
"Jiwoo must be out on watch. She'd warn me." Seohyun said, and San looked a little relieved at that. "It's not like the ghost can hurt you, so don't worry."
San rolled his eyes. "I'm worried about you, stupid."
"Oh," Seohyun paused. "You don't have to. I'll be fine."
San tsk-ed at her, turning back in his seat. Seohyun stared at the back of his head. Yunho dragged his seat towards Seohyun as he said, "You both are getting along rather well."
"Well," Seohyun slumped back in her seat, "he keeps talking."
Yunho laughed at that, "He's been thinking of names for your cat too."
"I won't approve if I don't like it. He knows that, right?"
"I'll give a good name, don't worry," San turned back in his seat, having overheard the conversation.
"I don't have much expectations from you, to be honest," Seohyun said casually, tucking her hair behind her ear, "I think Jongho there could give a much better name. He looks like he actually uses his brain."
Yunho and San looked at each other and giggled at that. Her observation was true. Jongho was infamously known as the 'only braincell' of the group. Yunho told her that, which actually made her smile.
"See? I know how to spot the smart ones."
"Who do you think is the most dumb one out of us?" San asked, attempting to make puppy eyes so she won't pick him. Seohyun looked at each one of them slowly, then said, "I haven't talked to you all much, but Wooyoung looks like he doesn't really like to use his brain."
The pair of them laughed so loud at that, catching the rest of the boys' attention as Seohyun tried to shut them up. But they were in tears, slapping their thighs as they laughed.
"Can the both of you stop? San you're second dumbest, just so you know."
That just made them laugh harder. The boys slowly came to them, muttering how they wanted to know what was 'so funny that they were howling'.
"She thinks the smartest one of us is Jongho, and the dumbest is Wooyoung," Yunho finally explained.
Wooyoung was laughing at first until he realized and yelled "HEY!" Jongho giggled, looking satisfied.
"Your brain processing is just a bit slow, that's all. No offence," Seohyun muttered.
"I mean, she's not wrong..." Hongjoong made an impressed face.
"Where do I stand?" Mingi asked, "I'm the second smartest right?"
"From below, yes," Seohyun said, making them all laugh. They all insisted that she rank them, and then they'd tell her if she was right about this.
"I don't actually think you're dumb, okay? This is just a joke, don't take it seriously-"
"I know, we all know," Wooyoung assured her, smiling warmly, "carry on."
"...Okay," Seohyun hesitated a bit then started, "Hongjoong is smartest obviously but Jongho is quite smart too? He seems more mature. Then Yeosang or Seonghwa, San somewhere in the middle depending on how awake he is, not sure about Yunho, but Mingi and Wooyoung... well they're pretty close. Because they don't like using their brains..."
"Most of it is accurate," Hongjoong agreed, "Yunho is more lucky than smart."
"Ah.. must be nice to be god's favourite," Seohyun scoffed. "But hey, I like Mingi and Wooyoung. They make you all laugh. That's more important."
Mingi and Wooyoung clapped at that, finally approving.
------------
It was finally after school, when San insisted on accompanying her to her home so she would get there 'safe', that they encountered the old ghost right outside her house.
"Get behind me" San protectively pushed Seohyun behind her.
"I appreciate the gesture, San, but this won't work. Use your brain."
"Oh... Right," San scratched his head and Jiwoo, who had also been with them the entire time, stepped forward.
"We can talk this out like civil human beings and ghosts. Then you can decide if you really want to kill Seohyun."
"NOONA!" San shouted in disbelief but she dismissed him with a wave of her hand.
"Very touching, all this, but I agree, we can have a normal conversation," the old man said.
"How long have you been a ghost exactly?"
"So long that I have forgotten my purpose, girl," the ghost snickered. "I heard from some older ghosts that killing the mediator by our own hands would make us move on."
Seohyun saw San and Jiwoo both tense. "And you thought you'd check?"
The old man nodded. "The mediator before you... Some other ghost killed him. It was some sort of revenge. He was supposed to help me."
"I could help some other way, because killing me doesn't really sound like a solution to me... Like, think about it. It doesn't make sense."
"Are you sure you aren't saying that because you don't want to die yet?" The old man smirked.
"Oh please," Seohyun faked swagger, "If I had an option, I'd kill me too." San shook his head at her.
"Very well. I'll hear you out."
Seohyun explained that she knew an old shaman who helped ghosts with no purpose to move on. It took some convincing and death threats to Seohyun, but she finally made him realize that it might be his one and only option now, and that he should just 'stop being a pain and move the hell on'.
"If it turns out to be a scam, I promise I'll come for you, whether it helps me move on or not."
"Please do," Seohyun replied nonchalantly. The ghost signaled to Jiwoo and they disappeared.
San turned to see that Seohyun was now leaning against the wall, wiping sweat from her forehead as she sighed in relief. "Nice acting."
Seohyun looked at him once before drinking from her water bottle. She had noticed the disapproval in his voice. She stared at him when she was done, and he stared back for a good few seconds before he finally sighed loudly.
"How can you be so... stupid at times like these?"
"How was that stupid? I talked to him and poured sense into him. And it worked. I don't see the problem."
"Does your life mean nothing to you?" San asked.
"San, chill, it was just acting-"
"Those ghosts can touch you!" San was louder this time, making Seohyun flinch a little, "They can hurt you like any other human, hell, they can hurt you in worse ways than that! How can you be so relaxed when gambling with your life?!"
Seohyun watched as San ran a hand through his hair frustratingly, clearly holding himself back. His whole body was tense, his jaw was set and he was not having any of it.
"Are you done?" Seohyun asked, making sure it came out soft. San shook his head.
"I've been seeing ghosts my entire life. My mom took me to all sorts of people for help. You think I don't know how dangerous it is? I learned from the worst. And I'm old enough and experienced enough to know how to handle rogue ghosts like these. Trust me on that."
"I know you are, Seohyun," San admitted, "I just hate it when you talk about your life like it means nothing. Like you'd have no problem if something happened."
"Let's just say I haven't had something I'd like to live for yet," Seohyun said.
San locked eyes with her. "I'll make it change now."
"What?"
"There's so much to life. I know you haven't had the best life, but you have people you can rely on now. And I'll make sure you'll have something to live for."
"What do you live for?" Seohyun asked, curious.
San smiled. "My parents, my grandparents, my friends. And myself."
"Doesn't it... get too much? Living for all of them... must be hard. And boring."
"What's hard and boring is when I had nothing to live for," San said, "When life became repetitive, and I didn't really love anyone, including myself. But now... I have something to look forward to. And no matter if it gets hard, I'll have people to lean on. So ask yourself this, Seohyun. Is it hard living like me or is it hard living like you?"
San knew his words had crossed her, so he locked eyes with her for a second longer before he waved and left for home, leaving Seohyun wondering if she really had wasted all her life repelling people, and if it really had been a wise decision.

Part 3...
The smoke carried to the desert, the forest-
Ninjago City reported having a bit of the Jumanakai Village population move to housing with family as the fire had not only destroyed the top layer of the village, the lower layer was near impossible to inhabit due to the thick smoke.
Few that remained were locals to help locate and map out the destroyed ruins, and helpers sent by organizations begin to clean up and rebuild the silent village.
Groups split by nightfall-
But only ones with a dragon could fly past the smoke clouds and tell when the sun was setting...
Nya was on Shard, watching as the sun began falling behind the desert horizon.
Flying down, she was met with a layer of smoke hitting her face. It didn't feel normal.
But then again, what part of yesterday was normal?
Nya: Sun's setting! It's gonna be dark soon!
The ground floor was dark enough with the smoke, sometimes you'd feel like you walked an inch but got lost a mile down.
As the helpers cleaned up and moved to safer grounds for the night, Nya moved Shard to her group.
Nya: You guys ready to go?
Jay and Cole were right by a water station, faces smothered by their masks.
S1 Jay: Yes! I gotta grab Wisp!
Jay runs off to his dragon, undoubtedly ready to leave too since they've been powering a lot of generators for the helpers since they've come.
S1 Cole, wiping his face: I can't believe this...
Nay: I mean, this is a part of doing dangerous ninja missions, right?
S1 Cole: Yeah but- this!?
Cole pulled down his mask- not minding the smoke that coated his mouth.
S1 Cole: This is insane!
S1 Cole: You've been kidnapped by skeletons, we went to hell and back (literally) to save you, Garmadon escaped to another realm with the golden weapons-
S1 Cole: THIS-!
He pointed to the burnt surrounding.
S1 Cole: People died! An entire place is GONE! Up in flames!
Nya grimaced, but she tried to hide it with a smile.
Nya: You're doing your Jay impression again.
Cole sighs and puts his mask back on.
S1 Cole: I'm going to see Jay-
Nya, panicking: Wait! Wait, I'm sorry.
Nya: I know how stressful this is for you and-
The two lock eyes for a second. Nya tries not to smile.
Nya: I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to mock you.
S1 Cole: Oh no, you only mock Jay.
Cole stomps away before Nya could call out.
If Kai didn't like Jay for dating Nya.
Then Cole didn't like Nya for dating Jay.
Not cause he was jealous or anything-
By then he moved to the medical tent and spotted OG Kai and OG Lloyd. The two were wrapping up a straggling helper with a cut they received on their leg.
OG Kai: Alright, that should be good, but I don't think you'll be able to rejoin the cleaning group. Best to stick down here tomorrow or go back home.
OG Lloyd helped up the person, handing them a makeshift pair of crutches. He moved them to a pair of helpers that were waiting by the tent's opening and let them take things over from there.
When Cole got to the lightning duo, he saw Jay smiling. Despite the blue ninja's brunt face hurting his mouth whenever he moved it, he still mustered a smile.
He was on one of the few built-up landline phones set up in the village. Quite a miracle it still worked.
S1 Jay: Alright- yes! I promise to see you guys soon! And- thank you... okay, love you too. Bye!
Jay quickly hung up the phone, he turned to Cole, and his smile grew more genuine.
S1 Jay: Cole! You ready? I'm just waiting for Lloyd to come over!
S1 Cole: Yeah, I am.
Jay stops as he notices Cole was a bit... off.
S1 Jay: You alright there?
S1 Cole: I'm fine... What about you? What was the phone call about?
How did Jay even get the phone to work up here???
S1 Jay: Oh- those were my parents! They called about the fire yesterday and I told them about it.
S1 Jay: I called them back about plans and now they're setting up a group to pull scrap to rebuild the village!
Cole felt a bit better hearing that.
He let Jay ramble. He liked Jay's rambling!
S1 Jay: -if they talk then they TALK and it'll be hours and- hey what about you come with me tomorrow? They'll love to see you!
And Cole hummed and nodded as he helped Jay unhook Wisp from all the cable wires on the dragon.
Lloyd was there in minutes with a small pack on his shoulder.
Lloyd: Hey guys! Kai's going with Nya.
S1 Cole: Great! Is everyone else gone?
Lloyd: The last group went downhill for the night.
S1 Jay: Great! Let's go go go!
Jay hopped on Wisp, the other two right behind him.
The take-off was a bit laggy- being hooked up like a car battery will do that to you- but the three eventually left the smoky landscape and towards the greener mountains of the monastery...

Okay I think at this point everyone knows what y/n means so I'm going to stop telling you all.
You guys made it home and you are at the table beginning to do your homework. "Dad... What if I'm not ready for the baby?" You asked him looking up to where he sat at the table doing something for work.
"No one is ready I sure wasn't." He said giving you a reassuring smile.
"I guess." You mumbled looking back down at your homework. Your phone buzzed letting you know you got a notification. It was from, Oscar. "Hey Alien it's Conley." You read. You texted back before going back to doing your homework.
"Bubba you'll do fine. And I'll be here to help you with the baby." He said giving you a quick smile.
"Yeah." You said working on your homework. You suddenly had the urge to throw up and stood running toward the bathroom. Your dad looking up confused before following you.
"Sweetpea?" He made it to the bathroom right when you leaned by the toilet puking. He came over and pulled your hair up frowning as you threw up. "Morning sickness."
"It's not morning." You whined once you stopped.
"Yeah I know it's a dumb name. You okay?"
"Ye-" you were cut off throwing up more. He rubbed your back sighing, one of his hands still holding your hair out of your face for you.
"There you go Bubba let it all out." He mumbled. Dodger came into the bathroom looking at the pair of you worriedly.
"Okay I'm okay." You mumbled wiping your mouth with a piece of toilet paper. Chris hesitantly let go of your hair and you stood up straight.
"Okay wash up I'll be in the dining room." He said shutting the door as he left. You sighed flushing the toilet. You went over to the sink and washed your hands before grabbing your toothbrush and brushing your teeth. You looked in the mirror sighing.
You made your way to the dining room where you found your dad sitting where he had been before. "You okay?" He asked looking up at you giving you a gentle smile.
"Yeah how long does morning sickness last?" You mumbled sitting down where your homework was sat.
"I don't know Sweetpea.." He said.
---
That night you got up two times because you had to throw up. Both time your dad had heard and held your hair out of your face. When you woke up your dad wasn't awake so you got ready and made breakfast for yourself before writing a note for him and going to school. When you got there you saw students talking to each other none noticing anything going on around them except the laughter with their friends. You remember it was the same way when you were in texas. You made it to your locker.
You closed your locker making it to Mr. Sparks' class. You sat in the same seat you had last time as you watched your classmates file in. You notice Oscar come in this time not in a hurry.
He sat in the same next to you smiling at you. "Hey alien." Class hadn't started yet giving everyone time to talk.
"Hey Conley, I see you figured out how to put a shirt on." You teased looking at him.
"Yeah! Did you find the first person of the human race your going to kill?" He asked jokingly.
"You." You said trying to sound intimidating.
"Betrayal!" You giggled as the teacher walked in.
Everyone in your class stopped talking looking ahead. It was around halfway into class when you felt the urge to throw up. You quickly raised your hand asking to go to the bathroom. He allowed you to and you speed-walked out of the classroom before dashing to the bathroom making it to the stall in time. After throwing up you wiped off your face and washed your hands before heading back to class. The rest of your classes leading up to lunch went without a hitch. Oscar had convinced you to join him and his friends for lunch so you did. You didn't eat much during lunch but did talk with his friends.
"So y/n you moved in with your dad like three months before the last day of school? Come on there has to be a reason." Liam, one of his friends said.
"There is... But I don't want to talk a bout it." You said sheepishly picking around at your food unable to find an appetite.
"I still think she's an alien!" Oscar said.
"Yeah a alien, that moved here from texas." You rolled your eyes a smile.
"Ignore him he watches too many sci-fi movies." Marcus, who from what you could tell was Oscar's brother.
"Will do." You smiled.
"Marcus your one to talk all you ever watch is super hero movies." One of the only other girls of the group, Leah who is Oscar and Marcus' sister. They were all apparently a year apart, Marcus being the oldest and Oscar being the youngest. You couldn't suppress the smile on your face.
"Who's your favorite super hero?" You asked him.
"Drax."
"Cool mine's Captain America." You said.
"Probably cause you share a last name with the guy who plays him." Oscar said.
"Oh shush it Sci-fi boy." You smiled.
"How bout you all shush it, Flash is obviously the best super hero." Liam said.
"No way Spiderman is." The other girl of the group of five, Naomi said.
"Wait you share a last name with Chris Evans?" Marcus asked. A lot more then just a last name. You thought before nodding.
"Yeah doesn't Chris Evans live here in Boston?" Leah asked.
"Your y/n Evans!" Marcus said a bit loudly and you shushed him.
"Okay maybe."
"So you do have a cool story!" Liam and Oscar said.
"I didn't move back here just because my dad is Chris Evans. Texas just wasn't the place for me."
"So how many superheroes have you met?" Naomi asked.
"Mo-" you stop mid-sentence feeling nauseous. "Hold that thought I'll be right back." You hurried to the bathroom making it just in time. You sighed wiping off your face and washing your hands once you were done throwing up. This morning sickness was going to be the death of you. You made it back to the table where they were looking at you confused.
"You okay?" Liam asked.
"Uh yeah." You nodded.
---
Your dad had texted you earlier saying he wouldn't be able to pick you up as he was doing something for the movie that was going to start filming this summer. So in result your walking up alone. A car pulls up beside you and your initial reaction is to run but then you see it's Marcus in the driver seat and you can also see Leah in the passenger seat.
"What happened to your flying saucer?" The back window came down revealing Oscar and you saw Liam on the other side.
"He has meetings... What are yall doing?"
"Ooh... Fancy southern words." Liam peaked over Oscar's shoulder to look at you. "Do you say bless your heart?"
"Sometimes... Well I'm going to go home now..." You said beginning to walk away from their pulled over car.
"Want a ride?" Marcus asked you.
"Nah yall my house ain't to far." You said shrugging.
"Okay bye." The car drove off and you continued on your way home.
---
Once you got home you let Dodger out into the yard and made your way to your room to do homework. You finished your homework just in time to hear your dad call you down for dinner. You ran down seeing a pizza box on the table.
"Hey dad! So I have so much to tell you! I made more friends, Liam, Marcus, Leah, and Naomi! They're friends with Oscar... Well two of them are his siblings. They found out that I'm your daughter... And morning sickness sucks!" You said smiling as you sat down grabbing a piece of pizza.
"Seems like you had a good day." He smiled at you.
"Yeah. So how was your day?"
"It was good. Bubba, you're gonna have to tell them about the baby though."
"Yeah but what if they stop being my friends I mean I just met them. What do I say " oh hey I'm pregnant that's why I moved back to boston" I'll tell them next time they ask I moved to boston." You shrugged.
"Okay. Did you do your homework?"
"Yep!" Chris smiled at you he was glad to see smiling and cheerful like actually cheerful. He could tell you had been faking before but didn't bring it up. He knew if you wanted to talk you would.

i'm back! this time we've got reader and keigo ft. chicken nuggets... hear me out, because this is loosely based on something that's happened to me.
it's been... what, a week? since you've slept.
assignments are piling up, deadlines are creeping closer, and you're barely clinging to consciousness every day.
keigo's noticed the bags under your eyes growing bigger and he hates it. he's already tried to get you to relax when you go on benders like this, but after you passed out from exerting too much energy trying to convince him to leave you alone, he realized he should just let you run it out.
he never wants to be the cause of something like that again. he tries to make it bearable for you though, whenever he can.
he's busy with patrols a lot these days, but you two have this unspoken agreement to send each other videos of funny moments whenever you can, just to make life easier.
(keigo will be fully satisfied when you finally sleep, but that's besides the point.)
so it's a saturday night. day 8. no sleep.
life - 17
you - 0
you're home alone at 2:30 in the morning; keigo's off flying around for any late night activity.
something he hasn't learned yet? never leave you unsupervised when you're sleep-deprived.
you get hungry and decide to have a late night snack, so you order chicken nuggets. (you were thinking about keigo, and decided to spite him while satisfying your cravings.)
when they arrive, you send keigo a video that goes... less than smoothly.
keigo's phone pings and he swoops down to perch and watch what you've sent him.
"what's up, nerd?" you pretty much slur through the phone. your voice is clearly laced with exhaustion, but he chuckles. "you're the nerd, but okay." he mutters to himself. the video keeps playing.
"so, i was thinking about you, as usual, and i ordered food and no, i didn't get you any, but i'll make it up to you! i was just really hungry and you're probably far off right now."
keigo pouts at his phone but it doesn't last long.
"anyways, you're probably wondering: 'well, what did you buy, y/n?' great question!"
you turn the phone camera to your chicken nuggets, but you suddenly stall. keigo blinks at the sudden pause.
"... i got um... what are these called again?"
damn if keigo doesn't laugh at that.
"chimken something, i can't remember. but they're your favorite! and i got 'em! but i just wanted to say i miss you and i'm gonna eat these and sleep, okay bye! come home safe, kei!"
keigo's nearly dropped his phone laughing at your inability to remember what chicken nuggets were called, but you wishing for his safety warms his heart four times over.
he flies home to see you face down at your desk, three chicken nuggets spilled on the surface and the rest in the container.

When I really wanted to go to the bar. The bar... Big surprise. You sure spent a lot of time in bars. Ted: Well, that's just we did back then. Me, marshall and lily, Barney, We all used to hang out at this one bar Called mcclaren's. But then, one night... Why don't we go to mcclaren's? Let's go to mcclaren's. You guys talking to each other? Nobody's listening? What's wrong with mcclaren's? Mcclaren's is bore-snore. Ted, tonight we're going to go out. We're going to meet some ladies. It's going to be legendary. Phone five. Ted: I had no idea why I hung out with barney. You didn't phone five, did you? I know when you don't phone five, ted. Come on. We always to go to mcclaren's. Yeah, 'cause mcclaren's is fun. Mcclaren's is this much fun. What I'm offering is the chance to have... This much fun. See, you say that. You say it's going to be this much fun, But most of the time it ends up being this much fun. This much fun is good. It's safe. It's guaranteed. This hand gesture thing Doesn't really work on the phone, does it? No, it doesn't. ( Tires squealing ) Get in the cab. Marshall, you, too. I think lily and I are just going to... I understand. Get in the cab. Why can marshall say no? Uh, because he's getting laid. Consistently. Ted, ted, ted... You keep going to the same bar. You're in a rut. And I am a rut-buster. I'm going to bust your rut. It's not a rut, okay? It's a routine, and I like it. Ted, what's the first syllable in "rut-tine"? Peace out, suckers. All right, so what's this legendary plan? First we've got to pick someone up at the airport. Okay, I'm out of here. Estaban, doors. ( Doors locking ) Okay, we just do this one little thing, And the rest of the night is ours. Why do you have those suitcases, And who are we picking up? I don't know. Maybe her. Or her. ( Chuckles ) Wait, so when you said you were going To pick someone up at the airport, You meant you were going to "pick someone up" At the airport? Scenario: A couple of girls fly into town Looking for a fun weekend in nyc, When the meet Two handsome international businessmen Just back from a lucrative trip to japan. Sample dialogue: "you have a wheelie bag? Well, I have a wheelie bag." You've got to be kidding me. False. Sidebar... Tuck in your shirt. You look sketchy. I'm sketchy? Trust me, it's going to be legendary. Don't say "legendary," okay? You're too liberal with the word "legendary." We're building an igloo in central park. It's going to be legendary. Snowsuit up! Ted, ted, ted... Right here. This is happening. Now you can either put the bags on the carousel now, Or you can listen to me give you A really long speech Convincing you to put the bags on the carousel. Your move. Ted, since the dawn of time... Mankind has struggled... That night, marshall had a ton of studying to do. So lily went out with robin... Who was new to new york and looking for a friend. I'm so glad we finally get to hang out, just the two of us. Yeah. You sure you're okay giving up your Friday night To hang with an old, almost married lady? Oh, please. I'm so sick of the meat market scene. Guys are like the subway. You miss one, another one comes along in five minutes. Unless it's the end of the night and then you get on anything. Hey-oh! Chap 8 Up the creek
Chris: Last time on Total Drama Island... The competitors were forced to conquer their deepest, darkest fears. Not all of them succeeded, but others surprised the group and faced their fears head-on. In a shocking twist, Tyler let the Bass down when he was too chicken to face the chicken. Get it? [laughs] And it was "Buh-Bye, Tyler." Once again, the Bass find themselves behind. Can they pull this one out of the water? Find out today on Total. Drama. Island!
Iris an the Others listed to Chris explain the challenge.
Chris: Bass, Gophers, today's challenge is a true summer camp experience. A canoe trip. You'll be paddling your canoes across the lake... [spookily] to Boney Island! When you get there, you must portage your canoes to the other side of the island, which is about a two-hour hike through treacherous, dense jungle.
"Wait you mean one of the most flocked to paranormal hot spots. That Boney Island!" Iris said alarmed Chris laughed "I take it you don't mess with that?" He asked looking at his daughter. "Why else would I carry sage and sault. They can do anything to you." She said quivering. "Are you sure it was blood you were afraid of?" He asked skeptically. Iris nods at him.
(Confessionals)
Iris
"Look you cant physically do anything to a spirit. But if provoked or even on a wim, they can seriously mess you up. That said please don't let there be a dip shit on this team. Oh wait Lindsay and Beth both dipshits."
*static*
(Confessional end)
Geoff: We've gotta pour what?
Chris: "Portage." [fly buzzes] Dude, walk with your canoe.
Geoff: Oh.
Chris: When you arrive at the other end of the island, you'll build a rescue fire that will be judged by me. The first team to paddle home and return their canoes to the beach is the winner of invincibility! Move, campers, move! Oh, wait! One more thing I should mention. Legend has it, if you take anything off the island, [spooky voice] you'll be cursed forever!
[thunder]
Iris looked at her whole team. "None of you do anything to piss off the Island. So many people have died at that place." Leshawna "White girl more superstitious than my granma. Take a chill pill we will be fine." She said patting Iris on the back.
Owen: Yeah, haha! A cursed island! Whoo!
Chris: Now, get in your canoes and let's have some fun!
Owen: Yes!
[toilet flushes]
Beth[coming out of the bathroom]: What'd I miss?
Chris: Canoes.
Everyone got in the canoes and made our way to the island. Leshawna was watching me. "Hey so how are you and Duncan doing?" She asked trying to get my mind off of things. "He wants Courtney. Thats ok did think we would get together anyway. " I said feeling my heart brake with every word. "Girl let it go he will see what a prize he lost. Far as I'm concerned you are one of the sweethearts on the island. If you ask me the best way to heal a broken heart is revenge." She said not knowing what she just suggested.
When we get on the Island and start walking. I look over to my right and there they were giant Beavers.
We all started to run being chased by these over grown carpets.
Chris: [confessional] A remnant of the Pleistocene Era, the woolly beaver is a day-active rodent indigenous to Boney Island. Oh yeah, and they're meat eaters.
(Confessional Off)
After losing the overgrown carpets and dodging the diving birds trent gets caught in quick sand.
(Confessionals )
Iris
Ok maybe the spirits are not behind the killings in this place. The Island is still a death trap though honestly this is a place Antonio would love.
*static*
Trent: Right. How am I supposed to know what quicksand looks like? It looks just like sand.
*static*
Chris [laughs]: Can you believe they fell for that?! Haha, I set it up, but I didn't think anyone would walk into it! Haha, that's just great! [laughs]
*static*
(Confessionals Off)
After getting trent out of the sand pit we make it to the beach. The bass got their fire going. What a shocker with someone who carries a lighter. "Beth stand here look up at the sun and smile." The sunlight reflects off her braces strategically placing a magnifying glass the fire was started. Izzy made a bomb out of tree sap and other things. This giving us the edge. We stayed to head back, when Izzy gave the bass advice on how to get to shore. "They are the enemy dip shit don't help them." I said Glaring at Courtney and Duncan.
(Duncan Confessionals)
I think she is gunning for me and Courtney. Whatever bring it on small town girl.
*static*
(End Confessionals)
We were almost there when DJ swam past us taking victory for the Bass. Leshawna: You cost us the game! You are dead!
Izzy: Right. Okay, you are so lucky that my license to kill is currently expired.
At the Elimination Cerimony.
[dramatic music]
[wolf howls]
Chris: And now, the always anxiety-inducing marshmallow ceremony. When I call your name, come and get a marshmallow. Beth. Trent. Gwen. Cody. Owen. Heather. Leshawna. One last marshmallow. The person who doesn't get this marshmallow will walk off the Dock of Shame and take a ride on the Boat of Losers. Who's it gonna be?
[helicopter blades whir]
RCMP Guard: Izzy! We know you are down there! You are under arrest!
Leshawna: You mean all that trash you were talking was true?
Izzy: No. Just the RCMP part. See ya! You'll never get me alive!!! [laughs maniacally]
Chris: Well. That wraps that up. Night everyone.
I stayed by the fire Leshawna's words in my mind. "Yes revenge sounds good to me." I said with an evil smirk.

Note: I can't be stopped when I write something feat the Light Fury.
Parts: Only one which is this one
Random add-on: Zee is an OC of mine if your wondering
Characters: Me, the Light Fury, Zee and Valka
The Moon's Light For The Night • Httyd Selfship story • AlexisFury
It was one of those nights where I had a lonnng flight back home. As I flew I felt the wind blow past me and I calmed. I had fought a Monstrous Nightmare ten minutes ago besides that Monstrous Nightmare had attacked out of nowhere startling me. So I was on guard but I always loved the calm ocean breeze blowing on my scales.
I flew beyond a place called Berk. I heard from a Nadder that was my friend despite the fact they followed an Alpha. I never despised them for that. As I was thinking they told me that they're Alpha and the Alpha's friend had taken back her son from Berk to have him live with her(my AU my rules). I find that a little heartbreaking for whoever the boy's father is. I mean if I was the boy's father I would be hurt. But I've heard that story and had that thought many times before.
As I flew I heard cooing. As if someone was curious. I sniffed the air knowing my smell was a bit better than my sight. As I sniffed I sensed someone flying next to me to my left. When I looked to my left I saw bright blue eyes. I tilted my head for a second and then stopped. Something my father told me was to never get distracted while flying so it's why I stopped. The blue eyes flew a little ahead of me. "I guess they didn't think I would stop" I thought to myself as I watched the eyes turn around because for a second they had disappeared and now I was looking at them once again.
Soon enough a dragon formed around the bright blue eyes. I tilted my head even more which surprised the dragon at how my head was very tilted. I realized that they were confused and stopped tilting my head giving a smile that said "sorry about that". After that the dragon cooed and flew closer to me. I was very confused because this has never happened to me before I had no idea what to expect. The dragon stopped and looked at me as if expecting me to do something. This was an awkward situation. "This must be a female if they're looking at me expecting to dance with them in the sky or something similar" I thought to myself as I just stared at her.
Knowing very little of what was happening and being completely nervous and wanting to shrink into myself cause I'm not only embarrassing myself but I would embarrass her because I wasn't a male. Looked both ways expecting one of my sisters or someone one of us knows. As soon as I saw there was no one coming this way I gulped knowing I had no other choice but to speak.
Alexis: Uh. Hiii?.
The dragon's eyes widened "Guess I was right". The dragon's white scales reflected the moonlight very well. Making her look beautiful. Though considering her reaction to my voice and finding out I'm a female I didn't bother asking if she was gonna say something.
Alexis: Well… alright. I'll be going now. Bye.
I flew past the dragon and she just flew there. And I'm pretty sure I heard her coo in curiosity as I flew off but I don't care.
As I was flying and trying to see how farther I have till I get home I saw purple and pink to my right. I knew who it was.
Alexis: How ya doing Zee?.
Zee: I wanted to see how you were doing. And I also wanted to see if you wanted to come meet my Alpha and his friend and his friend's son.
I sighed knowing Zee has often wanted me to meet them. So I figured now is as good a time as any. Besides I would have a place to sleep for the night. And I knew Zee wouldn't mind but I'd have to talk to Alpha.
*Timeskip brought to you by a chibi version of me and the Light Fury cuddling*
We arrived in the area and there were a good amount of dragons asleep. Expect the baby dragons. Zee brought me to where the human was. I saw that the human was standing in front of the Alpha. I've seen and encountered Alphas before. But I'm always nervous around them.
Zee lands right beside the human and the human starts petting Zee. I cautiously landed next to See. The Alpha noticed me which made me more nervous than before. "That human must be Valka".
Valka: Huh?. Oh a Night Fury. And a purple and brown one at that. So this must be a friend of yours Zee.
Zee nodded in response to the human as she approached me. I just stood there with my wings drooped down on the ground as the human approached me. She put her hand out to pet me.
Valka: Hey there girl. I'm Valka.
I sniffed her hand real quick and let her pet me. Sure I only trusted certain humans and Valka definitely was trustworthy. However soon enough I smelled something familiar and looked around. Then we heard a Monstrous Nightmare say there was someone unfamiliar in the area. I thought for a second they were talking about me till I saw familiar blue eyes staring at me to my side. Valka spotted the eyes curious of who they belonged to.
????? ????: Come on we gotta get going.
I tilted my head. Then Zee got in between me and the dragon with her tail spikes out. The blue eyes widened and soon disappeared. I smelled the dragon's scent fade away the farther she got.
Zee asked if I was ok. I just simply nodded.
*Timeskip to a few hours later*
I was laying down near one of the ponds in the area. I couldn't get to sleep because I was having trouble staying still long enough to sleep. So I got up and decided I got to a certain area where I could relax for a bit.
As I flew down I saw my favorite tree at the spot. It was a cherry blossom tree. I remember my grandpa taking me here before he died… but I flew down near the tree and laid down under it.
As I was listening to the ocean's calming sounds and slowly being lured to sleep. I heard something land on the tree and coo curiously. I looked up and for the third time today I saw the same dragon. "Well I guess she's following me… but why?." It confuses me that this dragon keeps following. So if she's gonna continue to follow I might as well spark a conversation.
Alexis: So might I ask who you are?.
I continued to stare up waiting for a response from her. I sighed knowing I wasn't gonna get far with this conversation. Thinking to myself "Must be one of those dragons who didn't get a name because they lost their parents. Might be wrong about this girl though".
Alexis: Listen Princess. Hopefully it's okay that I call you "Princess" but might I ask why you're following me?.
I asked albeit I said it in a threatening way. Nevertheless I waited for an answer.
????? ????: Well… I was just… curious about you?.
My eyes narrowed as she spoke. And here it's strange. I tilted my head slightly listening to her.
????? ????: I mean… it's been years since I've seen a Night Fury. Even a female Night Fury.
I watched as she got nervous. I tilted my head even further just like the first time we met.
????? ????: Plus I couldn't help but see how you flew into a storm and didn't even camouflage yourself.
Alexis: Well I'm not one to do that kinda stuff. Besides I don't use my camouflage ability cause I have a different tactic to stay hidden.
????? ????: Got it. So. Uh. What exactly are you doing here?.
She flew down off the tree as she spoke.
Alexis: I have trouble sleeping. So I came here to get lured to sleep by the ocean.
I looked out to the ocean and she did the same. I gave a soft hum because I often liked being here and now I knew someone else other than me knew about this place.
????? ????: So where exactly were you going to earlier unless you already had gone back to your home back there with that Alpha.
Alexis: Well it's not my home it's more of a friend's home. And I was visiting my home is like three hours away. Anyway you still haven't told me your name.
Light Fury: Oh. Well most call me Light Fury. While other light furies have names.
Alexis: Well. I guess I'll be calling you "Princess" often.
Light Fury: Alright. So… would it be ok if I join you?.
I simply nodded and she walked over and laid down beside me. Sure I wasn't expecting any of this today but I'm glad it happened. I put my wing on her to help keep her warm and as I did so I laid my head down on the ground. She tensed up but then calms and lays her head on me. This was the beginning of something new. I could tell.
The petals came off the tree and blew away in the wind. And the moonlight was shining very bright within the night. A full moon on a lovely night is wonderful. I closed my eyes and drifted off to dreamland.

Hoping for Home Ch. 1 ~ Consequences
Summary: Sixteen years ago Libby Scott was supposed to become Queen of Cordonia, but Fate had other plans.
Disclaimer: I don’t own the TRR characters, they own me.
Song rec for this Chapter: “Consequences” by Camila Cabello
Taglist: @fullbeaumonty @cocomaxley @leelee10898 @speedyoperarascalparty @hopefulmoonobject @katurrade @indiacater @choiceswreckedme @ritachacha @noey718-blog @carabeth @daniv2278 @cosigottahavefaith @ao719
Libby groaned as she rolled over in bed, slapping her alarm. Setting her feet on the floor with a grumble, she wiped her face before heading down the hallway to flip on the other bedroom lights.
“School. Up. Now.” She commanded loudly, rounding the corner and plodding to the kitchen.
Just as she was taking her first sweet sip of coffee, her daughter entered the kitchen. “Morning!” Emma sang as she opened the fridge, her blue eyes shining and bright blonde hair flying like a halo around her.
Libby paused to observe the young girl, wondering for the millionth time if her ungodly cheer at this early hour was a trait she had somehow inherited from her father. If the man Libby was thinking of really was Emma's father.
“Where's your brother?” Libby asked, gulping the warm liquid in her mug.
“You know Will. I haven't seen him yet.” Emma responded, pouring herself a tall glass of orange juice.
Libby rolled her eyes. “William! I'm coming with the wooden spoon if I don't see you in five minutes!” She hollered. After a few beats she heard the grumblings of her teenage son as he shuffled about getting ready for school. He definitely took after her in the morning.
Still, she contemplated as she propped herself in his doorjamb, there were things about him that reminded her of both of the men she'd left behind so many years ago.
He had the blue eyes, which both men shared and the broad shoulders. His hair was a shade of dark, dirty blonde somewhere between them both.
Libby sighed. “You've got your last final today huh?”
Will nodded as he tied his sneaker. “I'm not worried. It's history.”
“Even if history is your favorite subject, don't blow this off. Will, I'm serious. If you don't get an A they're going to hold you back. Do you really wanna stay behind while Emma becomes a junior?”
“Okay, Mom. I know how important it is. And this time I really did study, alright?”
Libby nodded and headed back to the kitchen.
“Don't forget you both owe me a shift at the shop after school.” She told her daughter.
Emma nodded. Will walked into the kitchen taking a gulp of his sister's oj as he slung his backpack over his shoulder.
“Come on. We're gonna be late.” He said grabbing the keys to their shared car.
Emma rolled her eyes. “I've been waiting on you ya know. Bye Mom. Love you.”
“Yeah love ya mom.” Will kissed his mother's cheek.
“I love you both. Seat belts and drive safe!” She called as the teenagers bounded out the door.
Drake turned down the long, dirt driveway towards the farm. It was smaller than his mother's, but he could definitely tell they'd been expanding since his last trip here.
After unloading the horses from the trailer and sorting out the finer points of his delivery to Mr. Sawyer, he climbed back into the truck.
“Hey Dad?” asked the young girl in the passenger's seat.
Drake quirked an eyebrow as he pulled onto the main road.
“Can we find a coffee shop? Like a real one. Not a roadside diner. I really want to get a chai tea.”
“Chai tea? What even is that?” He scoffed, but the fourteen-year-old batted her lashes, undeterred.
“Alright fine. We'll get checked in at the hotel and I'll ask the attendant about where to get chai tea.”
The girl at the front desk had pointed Drake and McKenzie to a small place called The Nook. They pushed inside the tiny shop and Drake jammed his hands in his pockets, surveying the cozy surroundings as Mack stepped up to order.
The boy behind the counter seemed nice enough, but Drake eyed him carefully taking note that he'd placed his hand close to McKenzie's on the counter as he leaned in to talk to her.
He'd been paying so much attention to his daughter flirting with the cashier that he hadn't noticed the woman walking through the shop, pausing at each table to make sure the patrons we're satisfied. Then he heard her laugh. It was a deep, pristine sound. The kind of laugh that was real and came straight from someone's belly and Drake was certain that he'd heard it before.
Like a swirling vortex the memories from years long since passed flooded over him. Ballrooms and waltzes and all of the fixtures of the royal court that Drake hated from his old life back in Cordonia raced to the forefront of his mind as he spun on his heels to find the source.
And just like that, there she was, wearing the same smile that could light up a room almost seventeen years ago. It was like no time had passed for her at all and he felt his jaw go slack as he stared at her.
“L-Libby? Libby Scott as I live and breathe.” Drake heard the words fall from his lips before his mind even registered that he'd said them.
****************************
Libby heard someone call her name and she froze in place, recognizing the smooth, even voice instantly.
She flipped her strawberry blonde hair over her shoulder as she turned in the direction of the voice.
“Drake Walker? Is that you?” She flashed him a smile, crossing the floor to embrace her old friend. Internally she was screaming.
“How the hell are you? It's been a long time.”
“I’ll say. 16 years is a very long time. What are you doing in Georgia?” Drake asked.
“Oh I um...this is home now. This is my coffee shop.” Libby told him, gesturing around the room.
“No kidding? It's a nice place, Scott. Not quite my scene, but it's nice. No offense.”
“Same ole Drake. I guess some things never change huh?” She laughed.
“Guess not. I- I only came in because my daughter,” Drake began pointing toward McKenzie. “begged for a...some kind of tea.”
“Daughter? The girl my son, Will is practically drooling over right now?”
Drake whipped his head around to see a blonde, blue- eyed girl slap the cashier's arm. He smiled again at McKenzie before following the other girl into the back.
“That's your boy?” He continued to watch as Libby's son reemerged, a stack of paper coffee cups in his hand as he began to restock them. Drake edged closer to the counter, surveying the teenager in earnest.
“Drake he's not...it's not what you think..” Libby tried to lie. Her old friend didn't take his eyes off of her son as he replied, “It's not? Because I think I'm looking at the heir to the Cordonian crown, Scott. Tell me I'm wrong.”
His brown eyes met hers in an intense stare as she bit her lower lip.
“Tell me that's not Liam's son.”
“He might be.” She whispered.
“Might be? What the hell does that mean?” Drake's tone was hushed but harsh as McKenzie stepped up to them. She handed her father his black coffee with a smile.
“Ready to go?” She asked.
“Uh, actually, Mack, thi-this is Libby Scott. She's an old friend of mine from back home. Lib, this is my daughter McKenzie.”
“Nice to meet you Ms. Scott. You're from Cordonia too?”
“New York, actually. But I lived in Cordonia for a time many, many moons ago.”
“Listen I've got to get her settled, but can I...can we talk? Like really talk? Me and Mack are in town for a few days. Maybe we can..get some food or something?” Drake asked, still sneaking glances back at Will.
Libby gulped, her eyes fixing on anything but him. For so long she had worried that this day would come. She took a deep breath knowing she could no longer run from her past.
“I'd love to.” She lied.
“Mom!” Emma called from behind the counter. “Will won't take the trash out..”
Libby sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “I'm coming.”
Drake's eyes went wide as he watched the exchange. “Scott, I thought you said you had a son.”
She gave him a sorrowful glance, knowing this was a lot for him to digest. “I do. Will is my son.” She pointed first at the boy, then at the blonde girl from earlier.
“Emma is my daughter. They're-”
“Twins. Twins run in the Rhys family.” Drake mumbled.
“ Listen I have to handle these ingrates,” Libby joked, trying to lighten the mood. “we close at 5. Would you and McKenzie like to meet us here? I'll cook you guys something special at my house.”
“We'll be here because you and I-” Drake motioned between the two of them.
“I'll explain everything, Drake. I promise.”

___
It was the morning of a day I clearly don’t remember and have no intentions of trying to remember.
This day marked the day that my family and I started to question my dear brother’s sexuality. And here is why.
“Gray, STOP EATING ALL THE FUCKING POPTARTS.” Natsu yelled from downstairs. Wendy was awoken from her sleep by all the ruckus, which honestly wasnt a surprise to her at this point.
She forced herself up and began to walk down the stairs. Unfortunetly, someone had left his trousers in the middle of the way. Wendy of course didn't see it coming. Poor Wendy, if anyone had been watching her, they would think for even the slightest second that she was flying.

[ID from other post: Following are three black and white comics pages of characters from the anime Mob Psycho 100, each with an image description below it.
Page 1:
Five panels.
Yeah."
Page 2:
Five panels.
Page 3:
Four panels.
End ID]
The Same People (4/5)
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5
Drive folder with all pages + PDF
In which Mob recognizes a metaphor. Click for bigger images. Personal notes under the cut. These take a lot of words to describe so I made a separate post here with each page and its ID in order.
port 4 was up to 7 pages so i thought fuck it and split it up! heres the first three, the final four are fully penciled so they just need to be inked and wont expand anymore. theyll still take a minute tho. the things we do for "artistic effect" and "emotional resonance," i tell u what. ill be done before the end of april i think!!
for the record the guy glaring at tsubomi in part 3 is not ritsu, hes a guy i made up to be a scary asshole teenager. ritsu is being a little shitty here but its also like I Get It, yknow

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon Review and Discussion!
Hey all!
Everything Everything is about a girl with SCID, a sever immune deficiency disease that, in short, makes her allergic to everything and unable to fight back any disease or sicknesses. Living with this disease her entire life, and never setting foot outside, Maddy hasn't ever really wanted more than what she has. This is until Olly, the new kid moves in next door and suddenly her interest are perked and for once in her life Maddy wants more than what she has.
Sounds gripping right?!? Well let me tell ya, I was GRIPPED by this book. It a super fast paced quick contemporary read. I like to read contemporary's after I finish a dense epic fantasy book because for me, they're easy to fly through and 'fluffy'. While this book was easy to fly through it certainly wasn't your typical 'fluffy' YA love story. IT THROWS YA FOR A LOOP.
I loved that this book has diversity. It's one of the only YA books I've read (or THE only) where the couple is interracial. This shouldn't be a big deal, but it's just refreshing to read a story that isn't white-washed and the race of the characters isn't brushed over so people assume they're white. It matters and I liked the change.
I also loved that we had some really strong female relationships between Carla, Maddy's nurse and between Maddy and her Mother. Despite Maddy's situation she loves her mother and their close-knit relationship reminded me of my mum and I!
The pacing was pretty fast at times and I thought the illustrations weren't always necessary. But it gives us way to how Maddy's mind works and made me really attached to her!
I think that's all I can say for non spoilers. Oh and also Olly is bae. Bye non spoiler peeps!
*****SPOILERS AHEAD****
OKAY!!! SO!!! THIS BOOK!!!!! I! CAN! NOT! TELL! YOU! HOW! GRIPPED! I! WAS! I was thinking about the characters after I'd put the book down. I couldn't turn the pages quick enough. I'd heard that people weren't fans of this book and like her other book, The Sun is also a Star way better, but hey... I liked this one a lot! I think Nicola Yoon is going to become an insta buy for me... Ya'll know I'm gonna be picking up TSIAAS immediately!
I really loved Olly. Now, you all know how much I HATE insta-love but to me this didn't really feel insta lovey. Sure, they told each other they loved each other pretty quick and went to FRICKEN HAWAI'I together but... in this case I think it's justifiable. Since Maddy hasn't ever met anyone her age before. I liked how they'd IM. Those were some of my fav scenes to read. It was cute how they fell in love with each others brains first before really meeting one another.
When I found out that Maddy wasn't actually sick I FLIPPED!!! I actually had to take a breather. I. COULD. NOT. Believe. It. Seriously wasn't expecting that. I was fully 100% expecting that Maddy would die at the end. I mean, how could she survive her Hawai'i trip? How could Nicola Yoon end this book realistically???? But then BOOM! She does the unthinkable!!! The fact that Maddy's mom was so devastated by her husband and sons death, and how she never got over it is a believable reason as to why she would lie to Maddy like this. She has some psychological damage, and convinced herself that Maddy was truly sick, so she'd stay safe. This situation could totally turn around and be some horror-like story where the mom is a psycho and wants the daughter all to herself. Obvi that's not the direction this book went in but I'm just sayin'.
It makes sense now, that Carla let Olly in to meet Maddy and that she let Maddy go to Hawai'i since she had suspicions about Maddy's sickness in the first place.
I also thought Olly's background story to be really interesting. He's sort of the polar opposite of Maddy, yet he has issues of his own. It added more dimension and interest to the story.
Now as for the ending. I. COULD. NOT. BELIEVE. IT. ENDED. LIKE. THAT. I was expecting AT LEAST two or three more chapters. But nope. It just... ends???? Like umm.... Excuse me????? I NEED to know what happens. Does Maddy return home? Does she ever forgive her mom? (IMO I can understand why her mom did what she did but that doesn't make it ok. I'm not so sure I could ever forgive something like that.) Does Maddy get sick due to her compromised immune system?? Do her and Olly live Happily ever after?? What else does she experience in life?? I NEED TO KNOW.
After I finished the book I watched the movie trailer like 12 times. If you haven't read the book yet, DO NOT watch the trailer. I repeat: DO NOT WATCH THE TRAILER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK!!!! It gives literally everything away. I think that's why I enjoyed this book so much and was as shocked as I was; because I knew nothing that was going to happen. Now that I've read and seen the trailer I can't tell you how excited I am!! I think the casting is perfect. It's normal for a movie to include it's own lil things here and there but it looks like it's going to stay really true to the books. Nicola Yoon got to give her notes on the script so I think we're in good hands!
The movie isn't out until May 19th.... *sigh* so until then I guess I'll just read and watch other reviews and watch the trailer ummm maybe 12132432 more times.
My only real issues with this book were the pacing at times and the ending. I thought the believability was off here and there but once you got to the part that explains how she doesn't really have SCID and how her mother has some issues, that cleared the previous unbelievable-ness up. I thought at times it was moving too quickly and I just wanted things to slow down. I liked the little pictures and drawings we got to see. It sort of made me feel like I was in Maddy's head. I also kind of want to read The Little Prince now!
As for the ending... I just wanted MORE. I hate it and love it at the same time. But GAHH I just need to know more. I'm not sure if a sequel is quite what I need... Literally just three more chapters would satisfy me. And maybe like a "20 years later" sort of epilogue??
What are YOUR thoughts on Everything Everything? I'd love to know! Have you read anymore Nicola Yoon? Be sure to tell me!
5/5 stars. (I would say 4.75 just because of that ending and the pacing but.... I'm still so giddy about it now I can't bring myself to.)
Thanks so much for reading! Don't forget to stay up to date with what I'm reading on instagram--> @books_andt

Harvey
Date: Wed, 22 May 2019 13:39:09 -0500 From: gwen uni <[email protected]> Subject: Harvey Was A Bitch by Cutter09 gay adult/youth Please remember to donate to Nifty. The thousands of stories available for your reading pleasure is provided by Nifty, so give a little and get a lot. Cutter09 http://donate.nifty.org/donate.html You can find more of my stories listed on the prolific authors page under Cutter09 Harvey Was A Bitch To say that we were surprised by the impact of Harvey would be an understatement. Being in Houston for years, and having worked on oil rigs in the gulf, I had survived many bad storms. But Harvey was a real bitch. In my area of town there had been flooding a few years earlier that had come to within a couple of blocks of my highrise apartment. They had said at the time it was a once in five hundred years flood. So, with Harvey imminent, I stocked up on food, water, batteries, etc., and planned to hunker in and ride it out. I was even smart enough to get coolers filled with dry ice for perishables. I expected power outages, and not being able to get out of the area for a few days, but Harvey decided that wasn't enough of an inconvenience. I watched the storm from my window on the sixth floor. The wind and rain were incredible. The lights went out fairly early in the storm, and with the flashes of lightning I could see the trees swaying as much as a forty five degree angle. Across from my building is a very nice subdivision with large houses set on large lots. Many nights I would sit on my balcony and watch the residents around their secluded pools, thinking they weren't being seen as they did all sorts of fun things. A lot of the women liked to sunbathe topless during the day too, and with my binoculars, I got some nice views. As I watched the storm, I happened to look down at that subdivision. One house in particular, I had seen the lady of the house blowing her hubby poolside one night. I couldn't see the pool. I thought the storm was just distorting things, so I got out my trusty binoculars. That's when I realized Harvey was a bitch. I couldn't see the pool because it was under water. The car in the driveway was only half visible too. The last flood hadn't even come close to these people's house. I don't know what the difference was, but within five minutes, the half visible car was no longer visible at all. The water was rising rapidly. I didn't have a lot of time to consider the situation because another situation knocked at my door just then. "Oh thank God. I was afraid the whole building was empty," said the young teen boy at my door. "What are you doing out in this storm?" I asked, opening the door to let him in. He was a full foot shorter than me at about five feet two inches [1.55 m] tall, maybe a hundred ten pounds [50 kg], tousled light brown hair, big brown eyes. "I live on the second floor. I didn't know how bad it was, until water started coming under the door. I tried to stop it by putting towels under it, but soon that was useless. It was up to my ankles when I decided to leave, I opened the door, and the water in the hall was already knee deep. I knew the first floor was flooded, so I decide to try and find someone else still in the building. I knocked on every door on the way up. Nobody's here. You're the first one to actually answer the door." "Where are your parents? Do they need help?" "No. My mom just married her boyfriend. They're in Paris on their honeymoon." "They left you alone?" "No. My grandmother was supposed to check up on me. When we heard the storm was going to be bad, she said she'd come pick me up.That was yesterday. I think something might have happened to her." "Do you know your mom's cell number?" "Yes." Surprisingly I got a signal, and handed him my cell phone. "Call her and let her know you're okay." "Mom?... Yeah, I'm fine... I don't know where she is, she was supposed to pick me up but I think something happened... I'm with some guy on the sixth floor... Just a second. She wants to speak to you." "Hello." "Hello. Uh... Who am I speaking with?" "Brandon Duncan." ""Mr. Duncan, how bad is it there?" "Well, I'm afraid your apartment is completely flooded. The power is out, and the storm isn't letting up. I have food and water to last awhile, so I think we'll be alright." "We've just heard about the storm, and were going to fly home, but nothing is landing in Houston." "Don't bother. It's going to be awhile before the water recedes enough to get here even if you were able to land. Just enjoy your honeymoon as much as you can under the circumstances. I'll keep you informed if things worsen." "Thank you Mr. Duncan." I handed the phone back to the boy. "Yes Mom... He does seem like a nice guy... yeah I'll behave... Ok, love you too. Bye." "So, what's your name kid?" "Blake." "Well Blake, are you hungry?" "A little." "I doubt that Domino's pizza is delivering tonight, so how about some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?" He shivered as he nodded his head. I noticed his jeans were soaked halfway up his thighs. "First, let's find you something to wear." Leading him to my bedroom by flashlight, I pulled out an old basketball jersey from my bottom drawer. "It might be a little big, but it will do," I said handing it to him. Blake wasted little time in taking his jeans off. Then he removed his tee shirt too. I had the flashlight trained on him, and could see his tight white briefs in it's glow. The jersey fit him like a dress, hanging to his thighs. It was then I realized it was mesh, and I could see through it. He either didn't notice, or didn't care. "Thanks. It feels good to get out of those wet jeans." I made the sandwiches and poured the last of my milk into two glasses to go with it. At least it wouldn't spoil. I lit a candle and set it on the table. In its dim light, I could still see Blake's chest and and briefs through the mesh material. After we ate, we stood at the patio door watching the storm ravage the city. "May I use your toilet?" "Sure. Down the hall on the left." I started to lead him there with the flashlight, then had a thought. "Wait. Uh... the plumbing is probably not going to work. We'll have to go down to water level and do our business in the water." "Won't it go into people's apartments, including mine?" "Afraid so. But they're already ruined, and that water is a sewer now too. You don't even want to know all that's in it." He worked it through his head, and nodded." I reached for some toilet paper. "Uh... I don't need that right now," he said. I led him down the stairwell till we reached the water halfway up the second story. "I never thought I would be doing this," Blake said as he tucked the jersey under his chin. The beam of the flashlight was soon joined by a stream of urine from Blake. I slowly trailed the beam up the stream to its origin. Blake had a thumb holding his underwear waistband down, as his other hand held his dick. It was soft, about three and a half inches [8½ cm], fairly thick, with a nice round knob. I could make out a few hairs at its base, and his balls were mashed against his cock by his underwear. I would imagine it being a really nice cock when hard. When he finished, I turned to go back upstairs. "Don't you need to go too?" he asked. "I might as well, since we're already here." I pulled the waistband of my sweatshorts down in front. It took me awhile to get my stream started since I wasn't in dire need. The whole time, Blake had the flashlight pointed at my cock. We headed back upstairs after I finished. Blake broke the silence by saying, "I've never seen a dick that big." "Your's is pretty big too for your age. How old are you anyway?" "I'll be thirteen next week. You're not mad about me looking at your dick?" "I can't complain, I looked at yours too. It's only natural. If someone is standing in front of you with their genitals on display, you're gonna look. Male or female, it's hard not to look." "At school if you're caught looking at another guy's dick, they call you names," Blake noted. "Yes, that does seem to be the case. It's the unspoken rule in any public restroom. But most guys are gonna look if they can get by with it." The storm continued to rage outside as we watched from the balcony door. Blake seemed pensive, so I asked him if he was okay. "Yeah, I guess. It just seems like this storm is never going to end. Do you think we'll be alright here?" "We're about forty feet [12 m] above the water. If it get's this high, there really isn't anyplace safe to be. Most of Texas would be gone. If worse comes to worse, we'll move higher. This building has ten floors." Later I showed him to the guest room and left him with a candle. I had barely settled in my bed before the door opened. "Brandon, can I stay with you?" "Uh... sure." He approached the bed, and with the candlelight, I could see he had taken off the jersey. His briefs glowed in the flickering light as he sat the candle down on the bedside table. He blew out the candle and crawled in beside me. He lay perched on the edge of the bed as if he didn't want to invade my space. "It's okay to be scared, Blake. This is a really bad storm. A lot of people are scared right now, even grown men." "Are you scared?" "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared. But I know we're gonna be okay." Blake moved closer and drew my arm around him, laying his head on my shoulder. "Thanks, Brandon." He lay his hand down between our bodies, and discovered I was naked. "Brandon, are... uh..." "What?" "Uh... nothing, never mind. Good night." "Good night, Blake," I replied placing a light kiss on his head. *** It was still raining when I woke up, though some light was coming in the windows. Blake lay on his side, drooling on my chest. His morning erection poking at my hip, his hand on my own morning wood. I thought about removing it, but if he woke up at that moment, it might appear as if I was trying to place it there, not remove it. I decided to just leave it and let him figure out what to do. I lay there about fifteen minutes until Blake began to wake. I feigned sleep as he looked up at my face. He then squeezed my cock, checking how hard it was I guessed. His hand slowly made its way down to the base squeezing it along the way. Then all the way to the head, still squeezing it, checking the length. He stroked it a couple of times, causing me to moan slightly. This scared his hand away from me, and he rolled onto his back. So I rolled onto my side facing him. I still pretended to be asleep, as I lay my hand down on the front of his underwear. He let out a moan as my fingers lightly gripped his cotton encased erection. I released it, then moved my hand up to his belly, to slip my fingers under the waistband. He made no move to stop me, so I proceeded down to grip his young cock. "You have a nice dick, Blake." "Um..Thanks. I thought you were asleep." "I was until you played with my cock." "I'm sorry. I woke up and it was in my hand. I just wanted to see how big it was when it was hard." "Show me yours, and I'll show you mine," I said with a smile. He understood the schoolyard humor, and reached for his underwear. Once free of confinement, I could see his dick was a little over five inches [13 cm] long and thick for his age. On his tiny body, it looked huge. He only had a few hairs, and a set of balls that I couldn't wait to run my tongue over. He got impatient as I stared at his jewels. "Can I see yours now?" I pulled the cover off us, and got on my knees in front of him. Blake gazed at it for a moment, then his hand wrapped around it. He looked up at me and asked, "Can I suck it?" Thank you God for sending me this angel. "Only if I get to suck yours too." He leaned toward me and took it into his mouth. It had been twenty years since I had been with a boy. My best friend Aaron and I had messed around when we were about Blake's age. I have dreamed of being with a boy ever since. Now I had that chance, I was going to take full advantage of it. I could tell he hadn't ever done this before, but he was very enthusiastic. He knew what he wanted. A cock in his mouth. He yearned to feel it, and taste it. He also wanted what was soon coming his way. A full load of man sperm. He worked hard for what he knew was his reward. His lips and hand moved in sync, enticing the load from my cock. "Do you want me to cum in your mouth?" Blake nodded and picked up the pace. "I'm cumming." Blake's cheeks puffed out a bit as my first shot fired. He quickly swallowed, and coaxed the rest out with his hand. Swallowing twice more before slowing his motion. Then he just lovingly sucked on it. The kid was a natural, and liked it. I had just given him his first taste of something he would crave the rest of his life. Even after taking his mouth away, he still stared at it, wondering when he would get to do it again. That time would come soon enough, but first, it was my turn. I swooped down and swallowed his boy dick. My mind instantly flooded with the memory of sucking Aaron's dick. His silky hardness filled my mouth, reaching the entrance to my throat. Blake was so turned on by sucking me, he didn't last thirty seconds before I got a taste of his boy cream. The worst of the storm had passed, but it was still raining. We didn't bother to dress as we went down the stairwell to stand side by side and piss into the water below. We laughed all the way back to the apartment. Blake immediately reached for my cock. He already needed another serving of cream. Who was I to deny a budding cocksucker. We were sitting on the sofa, when his face dropped into my lap. His lips wrapped around my cock, and he slowly sild up and down on it. He didn't seem to be trying to make me cum, it was more like he just wanted to enjoy having a cock in his mouth. I leaned back and let him have his way. His head lay on my stomach as he nursed on my cock, almost like a baby with a pacifier. After a couple of minutes, he pulled it out of his mouth, and held it straight up admiring it. His hand slid up the shaft and swirled around the knob end before sliding back down. Then he put it back in his mouth to nurse on it some more. "You really like my dick, don't you," I pointed out. Blake nodded, then pulled away long enough to say "It's beautiful. And so big." As he put his lips around it again, I slid my hand down to his butt. I squeezed his little butt cheeks before slipping my middle finger into his crack. He pressed back into my hand as I toyed with his pucker. This got him excited enough to start sucking my cock in earnest. His head bobbed up and down my shaft quickly and when he felt my balls tighten up, he took me into his throat for me to explode there. I pushed my finger into him up to the second knuckle and worked it in and out. Blake grabbed his dick and stroked it twice before firing his load onto his stomach. "Are you ready for some breakfast?" I asked after we had calmed. I scrambled eggs on the side burner of my gas grill, and we sat down to eat. I had never sat and ate with a naked teenager, but hoped it wouldn't be the last time. Neither of us seemed bothered by it, in fact I think Blake enjoyed it as much as I. He had a constant smile on his face, and kept glancing down at my cock. We were cuddling on the sofa when I heard something. A motor. I stepped to the balcony railing and looked down. There was a guy in a bass boat looking for people who needed rescuing. I yelled down to him, "Hey! Is all of Houston under water?" "Just about. You need help?" "If it doesn't get any worse, we'll be alright. It would be hard to get down there anyway. We have food and water to last awhile." "Ok. I'll swing by again in a day or two to check on you." "Thanks. I'd appreciate it." Blake had a smile on his face as I entered the patio door. "What?" I asked. "Nothing. At first I thought you were going to ask him to rescue us. "Do you want to be rescued?" "You already did," he said, and threw his arms around me. Later I was teaching him to play the card game 'Spades', and he began looking a little pensive. "What's wrong?" "Nothing. I'm just worried." "We're gonna be just fine. The rain will stop soon, then the water will go down, and you'll be back with your mom." "That's just it. When they get back we're gonna move in with Lucas." "He didn't live with you here?" "No. He's rich, and has a really big house north of here." "Oh? What's Lucas's last name?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't say Bishop. "Bishop." "Shit. He owns the company I work for. He's probably fifty years old. How old is your mom?" "Thirty. I guess she's like a trophy wife or something. She's really pretty." Now I was getting curious. "What happened to your dad?" "Never had one. Mom's worked for Bishop since she was sixteen. He got divorced last year, and started dating my mom." "Had you met him before they started dating?" "Yeah, he's been to our place lots of times. I can't remember when he wasn't around." Okay, things were getting clearer. There has always been rumors about Bishop and a young girl. So, putting the rumors with this information, I would guess that Bishop knocked up a sixteen year old girl, kept her and her son around, divorced his wife and now married the mother of his son, I also knew he only had two daughters by his first wife. Maybe he decided he wanted a male heir. "Well, after this storm, I'm sure you would have to move anyway." "You're right. I know. But now that I've met you, I don't think I want to move. I've never been so comfortable around anybody like I am with you." He reached for my cock again. "I've never been able to sit around naked with anybody, or play with their dick, and let them play with mine, like I can with you." "You know, I will probably have to move too. The lobby is gone, all resident services are gone, the elevator probably won't work for a long time. It will be at least a year before this building is habitable again. Maybe I'll check into a hotel near where you live, and we can still see each other." This brought a smile to his face. "Will you really? You will still want to see me after all this is over?" He seemed surprised that I would want to. "Of course I will. Why wouldn't I?" I asked. "I sorta thought this was like a convenience for you. You know. Like, 'I'm stuck with this kid, I might as well get my dick sucked' kinda thing." "I don't let just anyone suck my dick. You're a beautiful boy and I like you a lot. And you have a pretty suckable dick too," I laughed. My cock had grown hard in his hand. He was staring at it while lost in thought for a moment. "So... If I wanted to do more, would you?" he asked without looking away from my cock. "More? Like what?" He hesitated for a moment, then said, "I really liked the way your finger felt in me this morning..." "So you want to try something a little bigger?" Blake smiled and nodded at me. "I'm pretty big. Are you sure you want to?" "I trust you." I used my fingers, then a couple of different sized candles, to stretch him a bit. With each progressively larger item, he moaned and groaned as his hole was widened, but he never said stop. In fact, he seemed to enjoy every step of the way. His dick receded at each step, then returned to rigid hardness as I worked the candle in and out. Blake lay on his back, and I was poised at his opening when I gave him one last chance to back out. "Are you sure?" He smiled and pulled my cock to his hole. "Please fuck me." I leaned down to kiss him as I applied pressure. All the prep work had helped, and I popped in fairly easily. Blake groaned into my kiss, and wrapped his arms around me. I moved slowly in and out, gaining ground with every third or fourth stroke. He moaned as I took possession of each additional inch of his chute. At about six inches [15 cm], I tried just fucking him with that, but he wanted more. Bucking up at me, and wrapping his legs around me to pull me deeper, I gave in and slowly fed him the last three inches [7 cm] of thick cockmeat. As my balls banged against his butt cheeks, Blake screamed out, "Oh God!" I felt his dick throbbing between our bellies as he unloaded his cream there. When his orgasm passed, Blake's lips met mine again, and he humped his hips up at me wanting more fucking. I obliged, and started to pound him pretty hard. This kid was born to be fucked. I've never had a woman who was as enthusiastic and responsive as Blake was. His moans of pleasure in my ear were just as exciting as his tight tunnel gripping my cock. His second orgasm pushed me over the brink, and I unleashed my cum in his colon. I collapsed on top of him, and we both tried to recover. "Are you okay?" I asked after a couple of minutes. "Couldn't be better," he whispered. I started to pull away. "Please don't take it out yet. I like the way you feel inside me." Looking down at him I said, "Where have you been all my life?" "The first fifteen years or so of it, I wasn't born yet," Blake laughed, causing his ass to squeeze my cock. "Just for that..." I said, and jerked my cock from his butt. "Ooh... That was mean," Blake complained. "It's up to us old guys to teach you young whippersnappers a lesson." He pulled me back for a kiss. "Lesson learned. Now put it back in me." "Later. Let's get something to eat." Blake made his way downstairs to our toilet, as I grilled steaks and roasted corn on the gas grill. The rain had slowed, but still coming. "The water didn't get to the third floor, but almost. And I think it's gone down some." He sat with a big grin and watched me going to and fro as I prepared our dinner. His gaze never far from my swinging cock. When I sat the plates on the table, he stood on his toes and leaned up for a kiss. I leaned down to kiss him, and his hand grabbed my cock. "I feel like a girl on her honeymoon, and I can't wait till my husband fucks me again." I didn't make him wait too long. As soon as it was too dark to see, we went to bed. Blake was so anxious, he practically raped me. He pushed me onto my back, straddled me, and impaled himself on my pole. In the flickering candlelight, I watched his face. There was nothing but pure bliss to be seen. His dick was hard and drooling as he rode me. He soon squirted out his first orgasm, and I flipped him over and fucked him hard. *** The man in the bass boat returned, but we declined assistance. The water slowly receded, and we spent the time fucking and sucking as it did. As suspected, there was nothing in his apartment worth saving. The lobby area was even worse, and I knew I was going to have to move. When I heard the first cars moving down on the streets below, I told Blake he should get dressed. An hour later there was a knock at the door. Blake's mom and her new husband were happy to see Blake. "As soon as I heard your name, I knew Blake was in good hands," my boss said. "How is that sir?" I asked, taking his offered handshake. "I make it a point to know about my employees. I told Tammy to relax, that you would make sure Blake was safe." I wasn't aware that Mr. Bishop even knew my name. Blake's mom still had him in a strangling hug as Bishop said, "Pack a bag. There's no reason to stay here. You're coming with us." Blake told of how scared he had been and that I took really good care of him. He loved telling how we used the staircase as a toilet. "Just think Mom, you probably walked through my poop on your way to the apartment." She turned to her husband and said, "I'm throwing these shoes away." Which brought a laugh to everyone. Bishop's house is excessively huge and luxurious. I was assigned a bedroom next to Blake's. I was a bit apprehensive when Blake snuck into my room the first night. That didn't stop me from planting his face in the pillow and fucking the life out of him. It was two weeks before I could get my stuff packed and moved. Bishop gave me a condo in the building across the street from our company headquarters. I got the impression it was where he had taken sixteen year old Tammy and put Blake in her belly. Probably spent many a lunch hour there with her since then too. My new position as 'Head of Operations' pays double what I was making before, and Bishop never questions the amount of time I spend with Blake. He has however mentioned how well Blake fills out a speedo, then adds "As I'm sure you know." I suspect he knows about our relationship. He says Blake and I are like the two sons he never had. I know that I am the only one that isn't his son, and since Tammy is pregnant now, maybe he'll have another. Yes, Harvey was a real son of a bitch to Houston, but it was great to me.
