okay. okay.
#personal stuff#seraph plays star rail#okay maybe shouldn't have blasted through that quest so fast. OKAY.....#so like. genuinely. where to begin#okay SO. i was right. we were all right about amphoreus' history being cyclical with the chrysos heirs becoming titans#the place is shaped like a giant mobius strip this is not a surprise#anaxagoras.... they weren't kidding that scholar can demised. in the patch he hasn't even been released yet too....#is my guy coming back or what..... please say yes i need my little freak#this sets an unsettling precedent. i am looking worriedly at hyacine.#anyway the castorice stuff was fun. i liked the bloodborne looking boss fight. freaky. also the tragic siblings waaaa. for me....#i less enjoyed the philosophizing abt death and partings. it was nothing really new and i don't think anything specific really stuck#other than the drawing that made me cry and ''without death i would not have lived the life i have''#HOWEVER. did like seeing mydei yayyy whee <3#especially the scene with castorice telling him they might - will - become catastrophes in the future#and he went okay👍 nothing i can do about that.#like genuinely. he knew what he was doing when he made his decision and he's sticking by it. my guyyyy#but CIPHER IN THE ROOM AT THE SAME TIME.... GIRL I SAW THAT... YOU'RE NEXT#alsoo liked the aglaea appreciation <33 if aglaea has 100 fans etc etc#also the end part where we're leaving and we see the express family + stellaron hunters + flamechasers cheering us on#AND ACHERON. HI ACHERON. no idea what she was doing there other than the hi3 references. is that a one time thing#or will you guide me back from the realm of the dead multiple times. hypothetically.#hearing cyrene's voice right after seeing acheron. and then seeing mem. elf elysia i am onto you.#you KNOW we hugged dan heng after getting back oh my god.#shaking his hand as well. ichor of two dragons 🤝 the end of this quest#but that ending. WOO.#what the fuck is going on with black swan + what is the timeframe of these glimpses Outside of amphoreus#is time passing faster for us inside of it or. are these little anecdotes supposed to take place right after we crash land#does ''fuli's gaze swept across amphoreus'' refer to us becoming remembrance pathstriders or anaxagoras . doing that.#and MAN. all of us thought enigmata or something. but i figured it wouldn't be since they mentioned it in the beginning#DESTRUCTION FITS THOUGH. CONSIDERING THE BLACK TIDE + the monsters looking like the antimatter legion

The Crossroads Quests
Memory: Disrupt and Conquer
The Crossroads Masterpost
First memory approached: Rook: What's this? It looks like… an entryway?
Seen another memory entryway but have not entered: Rook: There's another one of those strange gates.
Experienced any memory before: Rook: Over there. Another entryway, like the one that took us to that Solas memory.
They enter the memory, and the scene shifts.
Found any memory before: Rook: There… it's happening again. We're in another of Solas's memories. Remember last time. The past really can still hurt you.
Solas: Andaran atish'an. Lasa ghilan.
Felassan: Spirits, Fade-friends, come forth. Enter the circle. Reveal yourselves.
First memory visited: Rook: Solas? Is that him?
Bellara: What's he doing? Summoning something?
Davrin: He should have heard us by now.
Emmrich: Less substantial than when we last saw him.
Harding: Maybe. Does he look… younger?
Lucanis: If it is, he doesn't see us yet.
Neve: Or a spirit posing as him?
Taash: Not the real one.
Experienced any memory before: Rook: Solas. Whatever happened in this memory, he was personally involved.
Rook steps into the circle.
Felassan: Spirits. The Dread Wolf asks for your assistance on a crucial mission.
First memory visited: Rook: Does he think I'm… one of these spirits?
Solas: The false gods, the Evanuris, have overreached. I shall humble them. Within their citadel lies a relic with the power to imprison even a god. With it, I can bring their tyranny to an end forever.
Felassan: You are Spirits of Chaos, Disorder, and Disruption. We ask you to disrupt the citadel's defenses. Give us the opening to get that relic. For freedom!
First memory seen: Rook: This is a memory. We're seeing the past, when Solas sent this… spirit army against the gods.
Experienced any memory before: Rook: More visions of the past. Solas sent these spirits out to fight the gods.
Rook: If we're Spirits of Disruption, let's act like it.
Bellara: Oh! I think I'll be good at that.
Davrin: Can do.
Emmrich: Spirits shouldn't be encouraged to… (Sighs) But I suppose it's all past.
Harding: Fight for Solas? I guess as long as it gets us to the truth.
Lucanis: I already have one demon. I'm not pretending to be another!
Neve: I've been called "disruptive" a time or two!
Taash: (Evil chuckle) Yessss.
Citadel Defender: Spirits! How did the Wolf call up so many?
Rook begins to fight through recruits. They are weak and fall quickly.
First memory seen: Rook: These memories are real enough to sting!
Experienced any memory before: Rook: Remember, they can hurt us! Stay sharp!
They reach a ballista.
Rook: Okay… think like a Spirit of Disruption…
Rook blasts through a crumbling wall.
Rook: We're through!
Citadel Defender: The gods told us this fortress couldn't be breached!
Rook drops down and keeps fighting.
Rook: More enemies! Go!
Citadel Defender: They bring the strength of the Fade!
Rook: We're almost through to their citadel, and the Evanuris know it.
Rook continues, their path leading them alongside Solas and Felassan.
Solas: They've changed their plans. Elgar'nan may be a tyrant, but he is not a fool. That means the relic is genuine. We are close. And Elgar'nan is afraid. Put our strongest in the vanguard, and prepare to breach the citadel. It will not be easy, but we shall win the day.
Felassan: Disruption, lead the charge and do what you do best. Whatever champions the gods send against you, bring them down.
The nearby pathway opens up.
Rook: More of them!
Solas: Death to all tyrants!
Citadel Defender: Reinforcements! We need more reinforcements!
Rook rushes the bridge.
Solas: You must hold fast! Solas: For victory! Solas: You are nearly there!
(Horn blast)
Citadel Defender: The gods send aid. This is as far as you go!
There is a blast, and the scene goes white. Solas and Felassan look over the petrified corpses of the spirits.
Felassan: Disruption fought to the last, and it was all for nothing. We couldn't take the citadel.
Rook: Wait, that body's… me?
Solas: It was not for nothing, my friend. The distraction the spirits gave us allowed our agents to retrieve the relic.
Felassan: "Distraction?"
Solas: No force could have breached their citadel. But it was necessary for the enemy to believe we were committed. A heavy sacrifice, but one that gave us a real chance to end the war.
Felassan: You knowingly sent all those spirits to their deaths? Solas… we're supposed to be better than that.
Solas: They died true to their nature, doing what they loved, Felassan. Let that be a comfort, that this war did not corrupt them into something different from what they were supposed to be.
The memory fades.
Rook: A ruse. That's all it was. By this point, Solas didn't care who he sacrificed if it meant stopping the Evanuris.
Bellara: And they were beings he respected. Imagine what he did to his friends.
Davrin: How many lives? And who decides what's too much?
Emmrich: How many spirits in the end? Hundreds? Thousands?
Harding: They did call him the god of lies and trickery. He was the villain in a lot of Dalish stories I've heard.
Lucanis: I doubt it was the last time he did so, either.
Neve: Maybe they would have volunteered to die for his cause. But he never asked.
Taash: Doesn't matter how sad you are about doing evil crap if you keep doing it.
Rook: Let's see what this… fragment can tell us.
(Thank you to @guardevoir for helping me get some footage of the dialogue!)
