the podwatcher abt the april incident pissed me off so unreasonably bad sjshhshshsh. i do go to bat for these boys more than i probably need to BUT i know it's because people were so nasty to them for the wrong fuckin reasons.

the delicate way the guys approached that episode was really hard for me to listen to. just them saying over and over again that they're sorry, they lost sight of the fans... how it took this long to talk in-depth about because it weighed heavily on them, and you could hear it in their voices and see it on their faces... but also them gently explaining that they never did it out of greed—NO FUCKING DUH!!!! creatives do not continuously pour everything they have into their creations when they're looking for a quick buck.

but my god, the way so-called fans treated them like the decision wasn't, at the most, a mistake or oversight. the ways people tried to frame it as something so malicious that it warranted personal attacks. the way racist assholes scapegoated steven for everything, when all three of them accepted fault (while also noting that steven's shows are generally cheaper to make than the other's).

it's frustrating to see creators demonstrate their values and morals through the things they share with the world, and people ignore that because they're too busy feeling slighted. it's frustrating having to hear the guys explain their original vision for the channel when it was always right there for anyone to see had they used their fuckin eyes.

for me, it's not that people were sad about potentially losing something they loved—that was never my issue. but "fans" also got so mad that they found a way to ignore what made them love the content in the first place, to justify saying the cruelest, most self-righteous shit abt people who have always focused on creating an inclusive, genuine community for other freaks and weirdos and passionate creators.

i thought that community was mostly cool. but it turned out the pool i was chillin in was rampant with racist selfish asshole barracudas who don't make anything at all yet have all the opinions on how creations should be consumed. like i know watcher appreciates any and all support from fans new and old. i know they're eager to make things right and whole, and i know that's the right outlook to have. it's healthy for everyone. but personally, the spiteful, frigid cunt in me hopes the nastiest bitches don't come back to the fandom now that they can get their ~blorbos~ for free again, and feel righteous in doing so. i don't ever wanna be chill with those guys.

i’m sorry but the “discourse” between the musical and book/movie fandom is so stupid. i get people get mad when people tag the outsiders to talk about whoever the fuck terrence dipp and beverly jitney-bush are, but there’s also literally a place you can blacklist tags. bright idea, i know. now, i don’t condone people tagging fics about the actors with the outsiders tag, nor do i condone real people fiction because that’s weird and invasive but that’s a discussion for another fine, just wanted to make that clear. but atp it feels like they’re two completely separate fandoms and i guess to a level they should be treated as such. i get that not everyone agrees with ace, or bev, or chet or whoever the hell are actual canon characters, and i do think to a level, they should be tagged separately, but if it bothers you that much, then blacklist the content you don’t wanna see. i’ve done it with plenty of things and it’s completely okay to do. nobody’s gonna be upset with you over it. what it isn’t okay to do is to harass other fans over it. i get it, sometimes it is annoying to see things about all these characters who don’t have anything to do with the actual story on your feed, but again, use the tools provided that were literally made to provide an enjoyable space for you. don’t harass people over it. at the end of the day, it’s the same media. and while i don’t personally wanna write analyses on random background socs, full props and respect to people who do! use that brain of yours, create content, do what makes you happy! but if something bothers you to that point, on BOTH sides because both sides can be immature and obnoxious on occasion, use the block button and the black listing option. it’s not that hard. it’s the same story at the end of the day, it’s not that deep.

The best thing we as individuals can do for the world right now is probably like… going outside…creating and joining clubs, hanging out with friends, engaging with interest’s, volunteering- BUILDING COMMUNITY! And making the outside world a better and most importantly a Safer place.

We’re being encouraged to fear and other all the people around us the ones who really matter.

Revolution isn’t about who’s the most morally correct it’s about resilience resistance and love! (Its corny i know)

We are emotionally driven ants they cannot control what we do not fear. And what do we fear? Other people.

We fear our neighbours we fear the stranger next to us on the sidewalk. We even fear our friends, and worst of all we fear ourselves.

We don’t even need to gather politically for some higher purpose we just need to connect! To know each other and care! You can care for selfish reasons you can care out of spite care for any reason as long as we care for each other.

And i dont know if this random social media posts actually matters but it matters to me that it exists. And thats why its here, im here. There will always be people around you who care. There will always be people who miss you. We matter as individuals but also as a collective. And i think thats beautiful.

okay so i just got asmos bath call

okay so abt the drawing !! i challenged myself to draw fullbodies since i struggle w it a lot especially doing legs and shoes so this is a practice. i also challenged myself to go through w the sketches when i start on them w/out scrapping em halfway through bc i tend to do that a lot and ending up not drawing at all lol. this was a fun challenge to do and all the lil outfuts and poses were so fun to do

there r some that im very happy w and planning on making into a keychain or stickers for myself hehe

yep, HAVE CONFLICT! LIKE PLEASE! CONFLICT = STORY!

Even if your human character is 'GOOD' and 'NICE,' they can still have CONFLICT. you don't even have to make them assholes! People in real life are subject to circumstance, even if something doesn't make sense logically, as long as it makes sense to the CHARACTER, then its A-OKAY! and that creates cooooonflict~ people are not perfect, borrowers are not perfect. give the borrower a REASON to actually fear them beyond just their size, and vice versa.

Whats a g/t trope y'all genuinely hate, but is considered a "hot take"

For me it's borrower stories, specifically those that always follow the same formula and never get creative.

As in, borrower is outside looking for food or smt, somehow gets into a situation where they are trapped, human finds them, borrower is scared and tries to flee, yet gets trapped under a glsss, with the human assuring them that they're kind and won't harm them. Then after a few chapters, the borrower leaves behind all the fear they held for humans and becomes close friends with them (this especially throws me off whenever the borrower has had a friend or a family member be killed by a human). They usually also meet their friends who are also super nice.

I understand that most humans wouldn't be out here tormenting a tiny person they found, but I honestly don't get the hype behind stories where it's only fluff and basically almost always the same plot.

The human characters are usually the most boring to read about, which is a huge let down for me. Especially as, it feels weird that I've yet to see a borrower story where the human genuinely freaks out that a tiny person has been watching them all along.

I mean how disturbing is it to know that you were being watched all this time, that you were never truly alone. Including in moments where you were feeling down.

For more interesting prompts, you could have the human actually be someone insane, that sees the borrower as nothing more than another experiment or something to exploit for money, with the borrower showing them that they are sentient, yet, perhaps, due to sn inability to understand each other, the humans doesn't understand what they're doing.

Or

Have the borrower have a whole web of crime with other borrowers, where they purposefully steal things from humans to make their days just a little more upsetting. Getting back at them for, maybe, having hunted them in the past. Have borrowers actually be evil little gremlins or something.

Heck, maybe even have the two be criminals, with the borrower helping breaking into people's houses and spying on them, to see who has the best stuff to steal from and the human doing the rest.

And if you do give your borrower a sadder backstory, please please please let them deal with their trauma and not completely remove it for fluff. Have them have moments where they feel inferior and break down, rushing back to their holes regardless of if the human is being nice or not. Let the human get frustrated with the borrower for not fully trusting them, not knowing the full story. LET THEM HAVE TENSE MOMENTS WITH EACH OTHER. I WANT TO SEE THEM FIGHT

MAKE THEM HAVE CLASHING PERSONALITIES WHERE THEY OFTEN GET INTO HEATED ARGUMENTS
