I do not know if you have answered this before, nothing is findable on this hellsite.
The question: Are you ok with us collecting & printing your stories For Ourselves to read whenever independent from internet access or whatev, or are you making money from (some?) of them, and if it happens to be the later, where do we find them to buy them?
Hope you have a lovely day & weekend, been binging through your pinned posted on n off these past weeks ^_^
I;m so flattered by people printing out my work for personal use! That is absolutely okay (although if by fate we ever meet, you'd HAVE to show me)
I have a few collections for sale (read 2) under the name Catelyn Winona, but they are by no means all encompassing of what I've written. When I do publish something in the future, I promise I'll make a whole post about it!
The best way to support me is through my Patreon (x), but overall I'm thrilled that people read my work! If being a patron or buying a book isn't in the budget, please know that I am so grateful that people are reading my stories :)
Thanks for the well wishes! I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well :)

Okay so. The New Beetlejuice Movie.
I have thoughts about Lydia and Beetz, and how Beetlejuice's feelings developed for her.
Yes. I ship them. I don't think I've come out and said it yet, but yeah I'm one of those. Block me if it bothers you. Winona and Micheal ship it, too. For the record.
Analysis under the cut
Okay folks. So, I don't believe for a second that Beetlejuice loved her in the first movie. He doesn't know her, barely interacts with her, doesn't care about her outside of having a means to an end. You can see this in how he treats the wedding, too. He rushes it and does everything in his power to stop everyone from saying his name. I don't even think they had a cake?
Now, this isn't to say he isn't intrigued by Lydia.
"I think I could get along with Edgar Allen Poe's daughter, she gets me."
Let's be real, though. He's a scumbag and a sex pest in the first movie.
This is in stark contrast to the sequel. He calls Lydia the love of his life, keeps a photo of her on his desk, fulfills all his promises to her, helps her get revenge on Rory *after* making him tell the truth about his motivations, and the DANCE SEQUENCE?? If his goal was just to escape the Netherworld, he'd have rushed the wedding vows and gotten it over with as quick as possible. And considering he has *more* motivation to get out than the first movie-- Delores coming to kill him, for real, permenantly-- that makes the second wedding even more romantic. He is down BAD bad.
So, how did we get here?
That's what I've been puzzling over for past couple days. I think it has something to do with the psychic connection Beetlejuice mentions to Bob.
@herefortheships has an excellent post that helped fill in the "why" of the psychic connection. Lydia can see all kinds of ghosts. What makes Beetlejuice different?
It's because they almost completed the wedding in the first movie. Sure, Lydia never said "I do", but they were almost there, and with this marriage ceremony being so powerful as to bring the dead back to life, even an interrupted wedding forms a link between them. Beetlejuice being such a powerhouse himself, and Lydia being naturally psychic, probably strengthens it. The closest comparsion I'd make is never closing out with a Ouija board. A very powerful, horny Ouija board.
So, this gives Beetlejuice a chance to get to know Lydia over the years. He watches her grow up, with a set of ghost parents no less. He sees her powers strengthen, and how she goes on to start a show utilizing her gift. I wonder if the show inspired Beetlejuice to start his own business?
She becomes a wife, a mother, a fully rounded adult who never loses her adoration of the macabre. I think he sees what he originally saw in Delores, and it ignites something, for lack of a better term, long-dead within him. Lydia is a much better person than Delores, too, and Beetlejuice knows that. After all, she originally agreed to marry him to save her (already dead) friends.
No wonder he's fucking smack dizzy in love. He softens, becomes a marginally more respectable person. Keeping a picture of teenage Lydia on his desk is objectively creepy, but that's also when he saw her in person last, so it makes sense.
Something else I noticed, and this kind of a tangent, but it's interesting.
He only started appearing to her again recently. Like, she'd felt him around the corners, but it's only around the start of the film that he tries to actively get her attention. I have a theory as to why. In part, he wanted to make himself better for her before making a grand entrance (reputable businessman and all), but there's something else that's more obvious.
Rory. He knows Rory's bad news, and I wouldn't be surprised if he used his connection with Lydia to spy on him. Beetlejuice probably knew he was planning to marry Lydia for her money soon. Now, he couldn't talk to her properly due to her blatantly trying to push him out, but he could still be loudly present.
Notice how when Rory summons him, Beetlejuice presents as a relationship counselor. He even says "I think there's an enabler here, but we'll talk about that later," which I think is because he wants Rory to know he sees through the emotionally manipulative bullshit.
I think he also knows Lydia was not going to believe him if he said Rory was a creep. I mean, why would she? Beetlejuice bides his time with gross out gags and other typical Beetlejuice antics. It's only after he's proven himself honest enough to stay true to his word by saving Astrid and sending her boyfriend to hell that he gives Rory the truth syrum.
He's really, really grown to genuinely love Lydia, way more than he ever loved Delores I'd say, and it's because he's fallen in love with the woman he got to watch her become.

Okay, I looked up the height difference between Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton... It's about 14 cm (~5,5 inches). This means that Beetlejuice is about half a head taller than Lydia. And I imagined cute headcanons.
Of course, when kissing you can just lean in/extend your neck, but that's too easy. But what about "Spider-Man Kiss"? Imagine Lydia going about her daily business with Beetlejuice following her around, constantly teasing her. At one point she can't take it anymore and throws her head back, dreaming of at least hitting him. And it turns out to be as close as possible to his face. Beetlejuice sees Astrid passing by, gives Lydia a quick kiss, and flies off into the air laughing. Astrid shakes her head, smiling involuntarily. Lydia can't help but smile, too.
You know that situation when you can't reach the top shelf? Beetlejuice is always ready to help Lydia and just lift her up, but she doesn't agree because Beetlejuice really likes to bury his nose in her neck and not let go. I don't know, but for some reason it seems to me that he really loves hugs.
Oh yeah, hugs. I don't remember if it was canon that ghosts themselves are cold? Because at this point Beetlejuice likes to warm up with her hugs. Sometimes Lydia has moments of fatigue when she just doesn't know what to do next. At first, Beetlejuice tries to amuse her with all sorts of jokes (okay, throwing Rory's things off the balcony was funny), but if that doesn't help, he snaps his fingers. A soft chair appears... and a bunch of flying candles in the shape of Beetlejuice himself. Okay, I think I overdid it. BUT IMAGINE HER SITTING AND HIS HEAD LAYING ON HER SHOULDER. Sorry, I love fluff too much and I'm afraid of misinterpreting the characters-
And a few more thoughts without reference to height. Astrid often jokingly refers to Beetlejuice as her stepfather, mentioning that they're quite similar. For a long time, Lydia couldn't imagine herself with him even as a couple, but Beetlejuice's concern for Astrid helped her change her mind. In the end, they made a pretty good family.
Beetlejuice would probably like to live a little longer. It's not my idea, but he could marry Lydia so he can become human and grow old with her. Lydia definitely won't believe that he's willing to lose everything he had in the Afterlife.

My original idea was to watch a movie for every letter of the alphabet this Halloween season, but now I intend to copy my friend Monica and watch 31 films in October. Here are the movies I've watched so far:
Alien: It's been long enough since I first saw this movie that I somehow had it in my head that Harry Dean Stanton was the first to die. Nope: it's John Hurt! Also, I love that in the 3rd act, the crew of the Nostromo has a 50/50 chance of being jump-scared by either Jonesy the cat OR the xenomorph.
The Beast of Yucca Flats: Not a horror movie exactly, though it certainly explores fears at the heart of the nuclear age. MST3K gets it right: yes, "shoot first, ask questions later" is a scary way to conduct yourself, whether you're hunting a man or making a movie.
Creature from the Black Lagoon: This film turned 70 this year, and sure, it shows its age at times. But the music (IMO) is a wonderful precursor to the Jaws theme, and the creature costume remains a great practical effect.
Bram Stoker's Dracula: Very stylish and overall bonkers, but way more faithful to the novel than I was expecting. Keanu Reeves (a year after Point Break!), oh hey, it's Cary Elwes, and Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing! And yes, Gary Oldman is by turns frightening (the scenes with his shadow moving without him in his castle are especially creepy) and seductive, but Winona Ryder steals the show: she should get a sword in more movies.
The Exorcist: This is maybe the third time I've seen this movie, and every time, I'm okay until the scene where Regan walks backwards on her hands down the stairs. Even the possession scene at the end isn't as unsettling. Having said that though, I was less unnerved this time, and all I can think is that I wish reality didn't disturb me more than scary movies.
Future War: Again, not exactly horror, but Mike and the bots are trapped by aspiring Mad Scientist Pearl Forrester (or did she have her license by this point in the original series?), and the forced perspective dinos are fun. (Frankenstein is great, but I want to alternate between Universal Horror and other scary movies; plus, the delightful serial killer body swap film Freaky was checked out from the library, so here we are.) Also, Daniel Bernhardt has been in a lot of actual good movies at this point.
A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night: An Iranian vampire film in beautiful black and white. This one is both haunting (vampirism parallels the way that drug addiction and extracting oil from the earth consumes lives and nations) and delightful. Two words: skateboarding vampire.
House on Haunted Hill: Thank you, Vincent Price, for your skills with that skeleton marionette. This is one of the silliest horror movies ever made, and I love it very much.

Oh, I do not like Lydia dating her producer, or her producer being abusive and throwing her prescription meds in the trash.
DANNY DEVITO!?
"HORNY HANDYMAN"!?
Well, damn. I guess Beej's Bio-Exorcism actually is a real business that ghosts hire him for. It always felt like more of a side hustle at best. Or even just some bit he was doing in order to manipulate the Maitlands.
As an aside, I'm looking up Monica Bellucci and she was the girl who got assaulted in Irreversible. I can't escape that movie.
No, not the Beetlejuice backstory! He's supposed to be an ageless entity who might never have been human to begin with!
Proposing to Lydia during her dad's wake in front of a huge crowd, everyone is appalled including Lydia herself. This man is earning one hell of a death.
Is there any real purpose to Lydia wearing what's essentially her schoolgirl outfit? We really could be expanding her wardrobe a little more, I liked the Morticia Addams dress she wore on the TV set. Some of you might not want to hear this, but we are losing out on huge goth mommy potential.
I did get a spoiler on TVTropes that Astrid's quirky little meet cute boyfriend is a ghost. To be honest, I feel like this is the weakest plotline. It's like there was this entire story happened offscreen and we're just seeing the aftermath of it and left to collect scraps of context. And I say this knowing full well thanks to another spoiler that Delores hunting down Beetlejuice goes nowhere. That's simply how uninvested I am in Jenna Ortega being a 'teenager' whose personality is "ugh my weird mom SUCKS I wish my family was NORMAL". What do you get when someone is countering the culture of someone who's already counter-culture?
Okay, well, they did just canonize that the sandworms are supernatural beings and not just aliens that live on Saturn/Titan.
Oh, I thought for sure Astrid was going to be the one to say his name three times.
That's not how you ship snakes, those are CG rainbow boas and not asps, defanging a snake is animal abuse, anything else wrong with this scene?
Lydia is being manipulated, Astrid is being manipulated...Jesus Christ. You know, I think it would have made the plot a little tidier if Jeremy was actually BJ in disguise doing the same plan he tried with Lydia but smarter. Speaking of which, it's definitely a bit unwelcome the Juice seems to have evolved the bit into an actual attraction towards Lydia.
Well, as much as I love Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Michael Keaton as Betel "BJ" geuse, I have to admit this film did not offer much except for the vibes. Luckily, that was basically all I was expecting from it.
So Rory got eaten by the sandworm, right? According to the page in the handbook which I paused because I knew it would be a freeze-frame bonus, a human getting eaten by one causes them to live as a million tiny particles in the afterlife. Which doesn't exactly sound like a pleasant existence. Fuck that guy.

The New Scooby Doo Movies is pretty evidently not my favourite iteration of the Scooby franchise. Having read others opinions online, most people appear to enjoy the series. In fact, looking on IMDB any negative reviews are heavily disliked which just feels silly to me.
For me personally, the series just doesn't capture what I love about Scooby, the horror aesthetic is ditched for the most part, the mysteries often feel unimportant (or non existent in many cases), the villains are fairly unmemorable and the gang aren't characterised deep enough to fill out the runtime.
Of course, this final complaint is where the guest stars come in, but they too are often not enough to save an episode, with celebrity casts frequently repeating the same joke about themselves for forty minutes before calling it a day. I think I would have a better time if this were released in the modern day, I think the longer run time would be filled out better and there would be a clearer vision of what Scooby Doo is. For the second series in the franchise, it breaks beyond the mould crafted by Where are You, yet never enough to truly craft its own identity and to guide the series forwards. The subsequent series The Scooby Doo Show has a far darker tone, returning to the horror/mystery genre with certainty. Even when this series aired, it was swiftly replaced by reruns of Where are You for several years as apposed to airing this new show.
I think, for me, the episode length and lack of direction is what strikes me. Forty minutes is fine, but even in my favourite episodes, I felt that runtime, it plagued so many of these stories. Every episode feels padded, jokes run too long and very rarely do they use this extra runtime to craft a more extravagant mystery. If these were twenty minutes, even thirty, I would enjoy all of this so much more.
Despite my favourite episodes coming from Season One, I think Season Two is stronger as a whole. There's no evident change, but the episodes feel more sure of what they're doing - they're mysteries that the gang are either working with the guests to solve, or working for the guests. It's more consistent at least.
This is not to say that the series doesn't have its merits, I do enjoy the guest star aspect, especially when we see fictional characters brought into the world, or when they use the guest in an interesting way, for example Sandy Duncan's episode takes place on a film set, which is so great!
This isn't the last time we will see this concept used, in 2019, Scooby Doo and Guess Who was released, and it acts as an homage to early Scooby, taking great inspiration from this series in particular. It's one that I am particularly excited to properly watch.
All of this is to say that, while I appreciate a lot of what this series does, it doesn't work for me. I'm glad I've watched all of these episodes, it's been fun being able to see where the intro clips came from which was a question that I always had as a child. And there are some good and even great episodes in here!

For some reason I thought “DANCE PARTY WITH PLO!” Plo just likes to dance around for fun in his quarters. Sometimes the other Jedi masters come and join him for a dance
Babe. You made a grave mistake of sending Plo-related asks in my inbox because now you have to suffer from me rambling like the smitten idiot that I am for my gorgeous Kel Dor King ♥
So I love dancing as much as I love music. Do I think Plo dances in his quarters?
But babe, they can't join him in his private quarters because (1) Plo is quite the private-type. As much as he trusts and would have no qualms allowing friends in his quarters, it's a bit too personal. Maybe only a few and not all. Plus, I imagine his room is (2) constantly pumping Dorin gas so he can just plop down on his bed when he's tired ♥.
Your favorite old man takes naps. Trust me on this.
This would also (3) help him not require to acclimate. Given that he should be able to just pull his mask off and take a deep breath, unclipping his mask would entail a few seconds of the filter mechanism would release oxygen in mid-conversion or something similar of acclimation, really. Please don't let me go through the Science of this, it's 5 AM from where I'm from and I just wanna cuddle this Kel Dor God of mine ♥
SO....
The Wolves Den is what I HC as the 104th's main hub where the Wolfpack hangs, resides, has their own designated 'barracks', sleeps, — like a 104th dedicated wing. This is also where Plo's sealed quarters would be.
In line with your ask, this is also part-time dance floor.
Plo would most likely dance to the tune of old songs. Maybe do a waltz, a tango or two with anyone (EXCEPT SHAAK TI BECAUSE I HAVE TRAUMA ON THIS, OKAY?)
I also HC that the 104th dance on a daily basis.
I can't find my post now so I'm copy pasting my conversation with my bestie @saengak ♥
So I'm a fan of the basement gang and idk why but i always, when this specific reel comes up i feel like these be the boys: Sinker, Boost, Comet and Warthog (providing the tunes) reaction upon discovering some Kel Dor native songs and Wolffe just bobbing his head somewhere
And Wolffe gets the biggest headache of his life on a daily basis ♥
BUT JEDIS DANCING?!
So Plo and Qui-Gon are besties ♥ Bet you they turn shit up dancing. Qui-Gon with some trance-like music that Plo just squints at him but goes along.
Seeing as most of the Jedis are old, I bet you they do the twist. Do the fucking twist, man. Like I can't. 🤣🤣
youtube
SO YES. PLEASE IMAGINE PLO AND YODA ALONG WITH ALL THE OLD MOOT LIKE KI-ADI MUNDI DOING THE TWIST BECAUSE I CAN'T BE IN THIS MESS ALONE.
youtube
Mother Shaak Ti as (Cher), Luminara and Aayla as Winona and Christina ♥
youtube
And for the hilarity of it all, Kit Fisto really working himself with Right Said Fred.
And yes, Plo supporting this foolishness by pulling Kit's shirt because Kit had been pestering him to be in this foolishness of his dance number ♥ Mace just shaking his head and bopping ♥

Lope:Ah, yeah- our recording devices still seem to be picking up noise from all facilities properly, our temporary one included. So, the prisoners are being recorded as they should be. I heard one facility had sprinkler issues? We're lucky that didn't damage any equipment but- Huh, management really should stop sending cottontails to do a hare’s job. Well at least everything’s still good- Oh, they've been up for a minute now haven't they? I'm late and the profiles weren't up in time. Stop the complaining. I did say I'd be testing things on top of running this Milgram. The transcripts of what has transpired will be up later.
Lope's Commencement
Daniel Prisoner 001
Mirelle Prisoner 002
Zareth Prisoner 003
Afra Prisoner 004
005 - Nell Newell
Place of Birth: Winona, Minnesota
Date of Birth: 11/11/2011
Age: 12
Ethnicity: African American/Caucasian
This one’s a bit of a strange case. He’s very relaxed in these circumstances and walks around as if this place were his own house. I haven’t really figured out what gets to them yet. He mentioned something about some time offline doing him some good. A decent cook for someone that age. His mannerisms make him come off like an old man. Maybe he was raised by older people. That sometimes happens, doesn’t it? Might have picked up the mannerisms from them.
Prisoner Color: #757D42
Permanent Record
Nell has perfect grades with 4.0 GPA. However, his attitude is rather perplexing for a child of his age. He complains about leg pain, the school chairs being uncomfortable on his back and the teacher writing too small on the board. His vision and physical health are good. We don’t understand why he’s behaving this way. We thought he was joking at the beginning of the year, but it’s persisted.
We assumed he had grandparents he was imitating but his mother says his grandparents passed away before he was born. It’s not as though it’s a large issue but it certainly isolates him from his peers. It is recommended that communication counseling continue for the rest of his middle school years until we’re able to help him out of this period he seems set in.
Nell: …
Worker: Hm? Are you- Perhaps interested in volunteering?
Nell: Yes. I would like to if that’s okay.
Worker: Oh, that’s perfect I’m sure they’ll love you! I never thought a kid your age would be interested in things like this.
Nell: …
To the Newells,
Nell has been a great help! He seems to be enjoying his time volunteering greatly. Thank you for giving him your permission to volunteer his time after school.
Sincerely,
XXXXX
Ms.Newell: Where have you been all this time.
Nell: Library. I walk over to it after school closes.
Ms.Newell: You know when you answer so quickly and in depth like that it comes off like a practiced response.
Nell: . . .
Ms.Newell: They still haven’t taught you how to speak in natural way at that school… What point is there in me having you go there then?
Nell: Education is important. You said so.
Ms.Newell: Education can only get you so far being a decent communicator is important to. People need workers that seem personable.
Nell: I’ll work on it more.
Ms.Newell: Well if you’re good looking enough when you’re older you’ll just have to stand around and saying nothing. If you can’t be personable the next best thing to be is attractive! It’s not a full dead end so chin up.
Nell: . . . Thanks for the encouraging words.
Ms.Newell: What do we do when we thank someone?
Nell: Smile…
Ms.Newell: . . .
Nell: Thanks.
Ms.Newell: That’s better! That’s my baby boy, great job!

Ranking the Alien and Predator movies as I watch them for the first time.
Okay, before I start I just want to explain again that for years I've tried to get into the Alien movies, I've seen the first bit of Alien a few times when I've tried to watch them and I have seen all of Aliens but don't really remember it. I also watched Alien vs Predator a while ago and absolutely loved it. I'm also pretty sure I've seen the first bit of Predator maybe two times but never finished it, I've also seen Prey when It came out and really enjoyed that. So with the new Alien film coming out, and it looks SO GOOD! I thought I would actually sit down and properly watch the movies, and of course the Predator movies too. So enjoy!
Alien (1979) - The OG! Im sure if I saw this when it first came out it would have been an experience, unfortunately I wasn't alive then so, but I can very much appreciate the impact it had on audiences. A very good introduction to Ripley, and it was so nice to see John Hurt!! (Merlin OG here) Also Jonesy, I love you.
Aliens (1986) - Fav! I don't even have to finish the others, this is my favorite one. HICKS I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. It was just incredible and I can't even tell you why, wait yes I can! HICKS FLIRTING WITH RIPLEY. Justice for this little family! we should of had Ripley, Newt and Hicks as a little family unit going around a killing Aliens. We were ROBBED. Also the start of Bill Paxton cameos.
Predator (1987) - Amazing, very suspenseful and just a very good introduction to the Yautja. I also think the scenery and them being in a jungle was a very good choice, especially with the whole camouflage. Got very attached to Billy though which was a mistake, I mean I knew he was going to die but still was very upset when he actually died.
Predator 2 (1990) - Okay, let's get the good things out of the way first, Bill Paxton cameo part 2, he was so good! I wonder how he felt knowing he was one of only two actors to be killed by a Xenomorph, a Yautja and Terminator. Other than that this was terrible, I found it so hard to finish, I don;t know why but the atmosphere that was in the first one just wasn't here.
Alien 3 (1992) - What the actual hell was this?? First Killing Hicks and Newt, like??? HOW DARE YOU. But this movie just wasn't it. I will now refuse to acknowledge this movie exists. I was however surprised and felt quite sad about finding out about Ripley gaining an Alien in her chest during hypersleep and then killing herself so that the company couldn't have it.
Alien: Resurrection: (1997) - Just going to say this now, I don't know how I feel about the whole thing of Ripley being cloned, I felt it really took away from her sacrifice in Alien 3, But on the other hand Creepy Clone Ripley did grow on me. WINONA RYDER?! I love Call so much, I did not see that coming! I was so upset when she got shot. Also! (Robin Hood Prince of Thieves here!) Hi Michael Wincott! nice to see you again. Not going to lie, however I feel about the Cloning I did really enjoy this one, and was please to see it brought back some hope for me after Alien 3. Also the new Alien that came out of the queen, giving everyone puppy dog eyes and then just attacking them pahahha! Amazing.
Alien vs Predator (2004) - Now this is the movie that I remember seeing and loving and rewatching it just proved that I still loved it, The whole hidden pyramid was so interesting, and I'm really glad they did it like that. Not really much to say, I just really like this one.
AVPR: Alien vs Predator - Requiem: (2007) - I honestly don't remember most of this, not going to lie. Safe to say I didn't like it.
Predators: (2010) - Started to watch this but turned it off, I think i'm just going to stick with Predator, Alien vs Predator and prey.
Prometheus: (2012) - I did like this one! it was very different from the other Alien movies, wouldn't say it was one of my favs though.
Alien: Covenant: (2017) - This one unfortunately is going to the bottom of the list, did not like it at all.
Alien: Romulus: (2024) - ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS FILM. I really need to rewatch it but my god it was good! it very much felt like aliens did and i love that!
All in all I think the ones I will rewatch many times are Aliens, Alien; resurrection (I'll overlook the Ripley clone thing) and Alien; Romulus. Most definitely Aliens because Hicks I love you and I haven't stopped thinking about you! Also Joansey was the best character.

okay this post will probably be very long but recently I received something for my Little Robots collection that gave me some info that might make finding the pilot episode easier >:]
Also just a disclaimer I was up sick all night and I'm running on like. maybe 5 or 6 hours of sleep so I apologize if the wording is bad or if there's any misspellings lol
OKAY so I ordered this advertisement around three weeks ago now and it arrived last week. I have never seen this one anywhere online and thought it was interesting!! Now I think it might be the coolest part of my collection :] (had to use Winona and Finbar to hold it in place lol)
The back of it advertises and animation festival. I have a theory that the pilot was also shown at this festival but I can't find anything confirming that so I could be wrong (I did find confirmation that the Yoko Jakamoko Toto pilot was shown there though so that's pretty cool)
Anyway I noticed the abbreviation on the bottom and looked up what it meant. idk how to word this properly but MIPTV is basically an event where people go and like buy the rights to shows from around the world (I'm struggling with words so bad right now I'm so sorry </3)
The date on the poster is 2001, so I looked up MIPTV 2001 in hopes of finding anything and there was. literally so little ANYTHING archived of MIPTV 2001 for some reason </3 I found a few articles but that was the best I could find. One of them, however, confirms that the pilot was shown at MIPTV in 2001!! :D
MIPTV could possibly have it in their archives (assuming that's how that works) or possibly the people mentioned in this article might have a copy somewhere!! I'm still super new to actually starting/being apart of searches so idk how to get in contact with people (and I'm too scared to lol) but I'm super excited about this!! I'd love to see this found one day :D
Bonus scan I did of the ad + the only known image from the pilot (at least I think it's from the pilot?? The person who originally posted it said it was from the pilot so credit to GeordieJim76 for finding this) :3
#little robots#lost media#I also found some info recently on ANOTHER piece of little robots lost media#but like. I need to wait until I'm not running on very little sleep to make a post on it lol#GOD why does little robots how so much obscure/lost media surrounding it#they really did a shit job archiving anything related to this show#ESPECIALLY HERE IN AMERICA don't even get me started on how this show was treated over here lol#sorry I'm autisming so much right now#I have been so hyper ever since I got this RUNS AROUND SO FAST#btw the ad is currently hanging up on my wall right above my bed :3

For the pairing ask meme: Jo/Laurie from Little Women (really curious about it!) And Carla/Mateo from EoA (because kinda love your Mateo roasting and takes 😁)
Jo/Laurie (????)
This is hard, because I don't know whether I ship it or not. I do but I don't. I think if I were to guess I'd say overall, I primarily don't except for Winona Ryder!Jo/Christian Bale! Laurie from Little Women (1994). I guess I'm going to go with "no" overall, because honestly as much as I love that adaptation, Christian Bale Laurie is arguably too "cool"/suave compared to book!Laurie (who tbh is more than a bit pathetic sometimes). Like I'm genuinely a little "What are you thinking?" when Winona!Jo turns Bale!Laurie down but I am mostly okay with it in all other incarnations. I do also mostly like Amy/Laurie and Jo/Bhaer as much if not more , so yeah I'm not really cut up about it Jo/Laurie not being endgame.
Why don’t you ship it?
For me, it's largely that there is a sense (more pronounced in some adaptions than others) that Laurie wants to be a March Girl™ (gender-neutral) more than he wants to be Jo's life-partner which is not really the idea ship vibe--even if I can't exactly blame him as I too would do almost anything to be a March Girl. Like sure Jo was his first choice by far and I do believe that his eventual relationship with Amy is genuinely based on more than "settling"--but I also feel relatively sure that he might have hypothetically settled for Beth or Meg under other circumstances. And that's just not a solid start for a relationship, if your s.o. could've hypothetically is always low-key considering your sibling as a backup plan if things go south with you too. (I mean you could say that the same is true of Laurie/Amy, but I do think it's less bad b/c Amy has literally been in love with Laurie since she was 12 and because overall their personalities "mesh" a little better than Jo/Laurie).
I also worry a bit about how Laurie's wealth might hypothetically impact the Jo/Laurie relationship. I do think that he would continue to be supportive of her writing and theatrical dreams, but I can also see him overcompensating/supporting her "too much." Unlike Bhaer, I don't think Laurie is capable of offering her constructive criticism that is necessary for her work to improve. He's too much of an inherent simp who thinks Jo March is already the most amazing human to ever exist (again can't totally blame him for that) to even conceive of the possibility that she has genuine strengths and weaknesses. I can also see him throwing his money and influence around a little in order to get her published/earning favorable reviews. Jo is fiercely independent and so achieving her dreams on her own terms/by her own merit is supremely important to her--arguably more important than her achieving them at all. Laurie interfering in her career even positively/with good intentions would inevitably cause a lot of conflict between them and create some self-doubt of Jo as to whether she really "earned"/"deserves" her success at all.
What would have made you like it?
As I mentioned I do sort of like it even as I also dislike it. I guess I would like it more consistently/wish it was endgame if Laurie was just a wee bit less eager/obsessed/convinced they were "meant to be." Also if we had a stronger sense that Jo herself wanted the romance specifically as opposed to just Laurie staying in her life. Another thing that makes me a little wary about Jo/Laurie is the meta-aspect of knowing that Louisa May Alcott was very adamant about not wanting them together. Her publisher pretty much insisted that Jo needed to find love in Part 2 and so she created Professor Bhaer in order to give Jo an alternate love interest
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
A lot, especially since I don't not ship it even if I don't ship it. Their "meet cute" scene at the ball is one of my favorite scenes in the book and arguably one of my favorite "character introduction scenes" in all of literature. I think that the two of them have great chemistry and a really supportive dynamic. They care deeply about each other and have so much fun together. (You see this as well in the sequels. Even though they're both romantically with other people, they are still go-to confidants and partners-in-mischief for each other).
I also think that narratively Jo/Laurie has to "work" on some level in order to justify the direction that story takes. The first time that you encounter the story, the reader/viewer needs to really like them together and assume that them being endgame is inevitable. It gives Jo's decision to reject his proposal more poignancy and agency. She needs to love him deeply and know that he loves her--even if they can't love each other in the same way--in order to fully be able to choose herself and her goals over him. If he's not an otherwise desirable option, her choice not to choose him isn't a real choice. She needs to be conflicted, tempted even, if her decision to prioritize her own dreams and needs over his and her family's is to hold any real weight.
And Alcott (and most of the adaptions) do a fantastic job of making Jo/Laurie seem plausible/desirable so that the rejected proposal emotionally fulfills its narrative purpose for Jo's character development (and a lesser extent Laurie's and Amy's as well).
Carla/Mateo (I ship it albeit very low-key though Carla probably deserves better)
What made you ship it?
Probably their interactions in late S3 most of all (especially the finale). I think there is clearly attraction and chemistry between them. They seem to have similar, slightly dorky and clumsy personalities that seem like they would mesh well. And shallow , I know, but their character models are also attractive and look good together.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
Is it bad if I say that I like how easily Rita!Carla was able to make Mateo look like the biggest fool in all Avalor?
I think there is a lot of potential for the two of them to bond. They're both very family-oriented, and I think there's a lot of potential for them to grow closer as being the only (and a little coddled/spoiled) children of very loving but somewhat smothering single parents (Victor and Rafa)--as well as missing their absent other parents (Ash and Mateo's father).
They are also arguably THE characters (well them, Victor, and Olivia) who are most actively interested in learning magic. (Gabe and Elena express some curiosity but specifically in the context of magic being a tool to protect the kingdom as opposed to something they want to learn just for itself). So it's nice to think of magic being another way that they can grow closer/flirt/have fun together.
I also adore the Delgado father and daughter relationship and enjoy thinking about how Carla/Mateo would impact Victor and his relationship with his daughter. Whether he's supportive (most likely) or hesitant (my personal head canon), it has the potential to be really fun/funny and heartwarming.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Carla/Mateo is one of the only Mateo ships that I can tolerate. Sorry not sorry. It's this and like two non-existent rare pairs . And even then, I don't think I am ever doing more than casually enjoying it, since my Mateo indifference is so strong. (I do really like Carla though and have a few more ships with her).
#little women#elena of avalor#carteo#for all that I dislike greta gerwig's little women in nearly every way#i will give her props for realizing that laurie is supposed to be a bit pathetic (affectionate) and chalamat delivered in spades#f*ck nearly everything else about that adaption tho; cringefail laurie and laura dern marmee deserved a better movie#moment of silence for the fact that no one has ever casted Daniel Brühl as Friedrich Bhaer#he has the perfect vibes in terms of being quieter and more scholarly love interest to the more openly/classically charismatic Laurie#while still being capable of delivering Bhaer as a swoonworthy love interest in his own subtler way#i dream of his umbrella scene even if I'm not entirely sure who I would've cast as Jo opposite him#and on top of that Brühl is literally actually German like Bhaer unlike Greta Gerwig who casted a Frenchman of all things#(no disrespect to your countryman saemi but he didn't even try to do a German accent)#I mean sure he was hot but...hashtag NotMyProfBhaer#I do like Gabriel Byrne as Bhaer a lot though even if he's still older-seeming than I think Bhaer needs to be#how did bhaer become the main character of the tags; this was supposed to be about jo/laurie and carla/mateo???

hi lovely i hope you’re well 🫶🏼✨ 33 & 34 for the ask game?
Hellooo Em (did you know I sometimes call you M&M in my head? lol), fancy seeing you here hehe 💜💙
33 - favorite actor?
Okay, I'm terrible at answering these type of questions because I genuinely don't have one. There are so many great people there, and my favourites can largely be divided into "Do I find them talented AND immensely hot / beautiful" (like Ben Barnes or Amanda Seyfried) or "Are they genuinely fantastic actors and deserve every bit of praise they get" (like Sir Ian McKellen or Viola Davis). That being said, here's like 3 babes from each (excluding those two mentioned):
Christian Slater (BABE BABE BABE)
Tom Hiddleston (😌)
Johnny Depp (range??? wow)
34 - favorite actress?
Same thing applies. Again. I used to have a lot more concrete cinema opinions. Nowadays I just vibe I suppose.
Winona Ryder (notice the top actor? you see the connection? YEAH)
Keira Knightley (🥹)
Lily Collins (she's so!!!)
I'm sorry my opinions are super boring. Also please know I initially typed Henry Cavill but deleted it because the truth is that I really only like 1 thing of his (The Witcher), and that wouldn't be fair. The only other thing he was in that I watched was Superman and I HATE. HATE. Superman. No matter who plays it so.
#I'm more of a favourite movies/series than people#there's so many talented actors out there how can you choose?#shout out to my boy Logan Lerman (NOT because of pj <- i don't like it) amd Andrew Garfield (🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹)#and Anne Hathaway!! Mother!!#darya answers#ask game
