Kdramas i've watched this year
Some of these are older dramas but i'm a procrastinator
Black Knight (2023): Loved this one! I have watched it probably 5 times now. Kim Woobin kicking ass is all i need!
Under the Queen's Umbrella (2022): I didn't watch this when it aired (no idea why). I was worried that the plot would be overrun by romance but thankfully i was wrong. Loved Kim Hye-Soo's performance (i cried a little).
Island seasons 1 & 2 (2022-2023): Honestly i only started this one for Kim Nam-Gil. I loved the cast, but the flow of the plot was a little off (don't know how, i can't put a finger on it). Was positively suprised by Cha Eun-Woo's acting, i think he needs more roles like this! Hot villain alert no.1! Sung Joon as a bad guy is either a blessing or a curse. Cgi could have been better.
Taxi Driver season 2 (2023): Loved the first season so of course i had to watch the second one. Love Lee Je-Hoon. Love the main characters. Love the plot and the message of this drama. A masterpiece. Waiting for season 3.
Weak Hero Class 1 (2022): Only heard of this drama wayyy after it aired (thanks tiktok) and god does it deserve every award there is! I was a bit hesitant because Park Ji-Hoon was the main lead, but boy was i wrong because his talent got me speechless (weren't we all). I cried, i cheered, i shadowboxed, i cried a little more and in the end i called my therapist. Thankfully season 2 is coming.
Bloodhounds (2023): Woo Do-whan and Lee Sang-Yi in the same drama beating people up? Yes please! The plot wasn't mindblowing, but sometimes just simple ass kicking is enough. Bromance was bromancing. Park Sung-Woong with another great villain character.
Revenant (2023): After dropping Mr.Sunshine i wanted to see Kim Tae-ri in other dramas, so when this aired i gave it a go. Her range is phenomenal! I have only seen couple spookier dramas, so i made a mistake and watched this at night (slept with the lights on). The eerie vibes and plot twists were well made. Hong Kyung had great chemistry with Kim Tae-ri and his cop role was refreshing to see after his performance in Weak Hero Class (if you know you know).
Flower of Evil (2020): Okay, this is one of the dramas i procrastinated hard on. It's been sitting on my "have to watch" list since it aired and i'm the only one to blame (i hype up a drama in my mind, then don't want to watch it because now i'm afraid it doesn't go the way i think it does and then i get disappointed blaablaablaa). This year i finally got over myself and why. didn't. i. watch. it. sooner!!!! It is all i ever wanted in a kdrama. 1. serial killers 2. a psychopath (but is he really?) w/ an effed up childhood 3. mindgames 4. marriage problems (but has a lot of soft & cute scenes) 5. Lee Joon-Gi. Also as a plus (hot villain alert no.2) the bad guy is kindaa (i'm sane i swear). I would be lying if i didn't say that i found the wife slightly annoying (might be me, but she went too much back & forth and sometimes i had to take a breather while watching), but all in all this drama will be hard to top and i fell in love with Lee Joon-Gi.
Moving (2023): Honestly one of the best dramas of the year. I don't usually really go for plots that have a lot of romance in them (if you haven't noticed), but i found this one to be really well balanced and the romance scenes weren't "cringy". Although Bong-Seok and Hui-Soo were great and had great chemistry, i looooved the background stories of the parents. Park Hee-Soon also pops up as kind of a non-villain villain. I hope there is a season 2.
Song of the Bandits (2023): Kim Nam-Gil again. 1920s Korea and gunslingers... what more could i need? After Mr. Sunshine left me with a disappointment (this might be an unpopular opinion) i craved for a drama set around the same time period, but with a little less romance (i know, i am defective). I think dramas should explore this time period more, but i understand it might still be a touchy subject. The skills of the cast were obviously great, Kim Nam-Gil killed his role like always, but Lee Ho-Jung as Eon-Nyeon shined with her performance (i am now a new fan). Hot villain alert no.3! I have seen Lee Hyun-Wook in Remarriage & Desires and seeing him as a villain made me feel things. If there isn't a second season i will cry.
The Killing Vote (2023): A "serial killer" in a dog mask making the public vote on punishing criminals and everyone suspects each other? Cyber crime? Chemistry between two cops? Major hot villain (no.4)? Sign me up. I love when crime dramas make you question your people reading skills (i have the tism so i really got none) and have all kinds of theories flying around. I liked that even Kim Mu-Chan and Joo Hyun had obvious chemistry between them it didn't overshadow the main point of the plot. I liked Seo Young-Joo's delivery and i hope he gets more bigger roles. Kim Kwon.... why does the psychopath have to be hot? He also needs more bigger roles. !spoiler! Also Park Sung-Woong killing (heh) yet another morally grey character.
The Worst of Evil (2023): Okay, first of all i have to say... the wife ruined everything (some agree and some don't). We get another bromance duo of the year with Wi Ha-Joon and Ji Chang-Wook. Loved the crime organization infiltration plot, heavily despised the romance plot (sorry Bibi baby). I was constantly on the edge of my seat and the characters started to get so morally grey that in the end everyone needs group therapy. Action scenes were chefs kiss. A honorable mention goes for Lee Shin-Ki as Seo Jong-Ryul (or Chief Seo, knife guy, the man has many names) and Bibi for her performance as Lee Hae-Ryeon.
Evilive (2023): Heavily underrated. Kim Young-Kwang doing what he does best, playing a psychopath. This combined with a bromance plot with the one and only bromance master Shin Ha-Kyun? I'm sold. The dramas literal title "villain story" really sums up the plot. Sometimes you are not sure who to cheer for. Sometimes you are not really sure about your own sanity. But to be fair, so aren't the main characters.
Vigilante (2023): Love it. Currently re-watching it. Needs more attention. Needs more episodes. I'm in love with Nam Joo-Hyuk. The best crime drama of the year, the title is all i needed to hear. Beating up criminals in well made action scenes is my favorite genre. No romance. One sided bromance? Morally grey characters (am i repeating myself now?). Yoon Ji-Tae as a beefy cop and Lee Joon-Hyuk as a slightly insane admirer? If we don't get a season 2 i will start a riot.

hey! could i request boyfriend! sousuke, makoto and rin headcanons? 💕 thank you!
yusyusyusyusyusssss
lmao I’m straight binging free rn deadass alr done w s2 and it’s been like 2 days
Sorry but Rin>>>>>>>>>>
Anyways onto the headcanons!!
All gender neutral btw:33
*Gifs are not mine:>
🌊Yamazaki Sosuke🌊
- Yikes I feel really bad for not liking him until the end of season two-
- But anyways,
- Sosuke is um... kinda dense I feel like.
- Like he doesn’t really catch up on cues.
- The two of you could be out and there would be these girls staring at him.
- He would literally pay no mind and get confused when you start pulling him away.
- “(Y/n)? I thought you wanted to go into that store?”
- “Sosuke those girls are staring, we can come back later.”
- “Huh? So they’re staring, what’s the deal?”
- “Sosuke wha???”
- Yeah, that.
- But don’t worry, he has eyes for you and YOU ONLY!!
- Lmao I feel like he’s popular with girls but he’ll just turn them down straight up.
- “Sorry, I’m not interested, and I already have a partner.”
- Yike feelsbadman.
- Okay aside from all that, Sosuke is honestly an AMAZING BOYFRIEND LJAHDAWHD-
- He’s very stoic in public, kinda harsh, but he has that one soft spot for you.
- Extra soft spot.
- With you he’s super caring, very sweet, protective, just sjkhncef yes.
- Definitely gets jealous sometimes when you’re getting too touchy feely with another guy.
- God forbid you to hug a guy in front of him.
- He isn’t one to boast or show you off, he’s very lowkey with the relationship.
- Not much PDA, maybe a little bit of hand holding or finger linking but that’s about it.
- When the first years found out you two were dating let me tell you they were shook.
- Momotarou was very, very jealous, to say the least.
- Probably didn’t get intimate until like months into the relationship.
- And no I don’t mean intimate as in sex but like kissing or sth like that.
- It took him some time to warm up to the idea of just a relationship, but kissing? Even longer.
- He had this mindset where it was like oh if I kiss her then I’ll start drifting out of focus and I’ll forget about swimming and then my dream is going to be out of reach and-
- Yeah, he still kissed you so...
- When he found out about his shoulder you were the first one he turned to.
- He couldn’t let other people find out, but he trusted you.
- Awww he was devastated.
- He definitely didn’t cry for hours.
- And he definitely didn’t make your shirt wet from crying.
- And he absolutely did not refuse to let go of you at night when the two of you were about to sleep.
- Great boyfriend material, 9/10 would recommend bc of the obliviousness.
🐢Makoto Tachibana🐢
- He’s the man.
- Like THE MAN.
- You’ve reached the top of the list.
- God DAMN HE IS SUCH A GOOD BOYFRIEND.
- He’s genuinely caring, understandig, a tiny bit awkward, super sweet, if husbando material was a person, this would be it.
- He likes PDA definitely, but not like extreme PDA.
- Hand holding, maybe an arm around your waist, occasional peck on the cheek in public, about that.
- Not one to show you off but wouldn’t mind doing that if anyone asked about it.
- “Yeah, I do have an amazing partner, thanks for asking.”
- Likes it when you play w his hair!!
- He’s just so supportive of everything you do oh god.
- You like gaming? Hell yeah, he’s cheering you on. You’re an artist? Draw him like one of your French boys. You’re a dancer? Hypes you up when you’re busting it down.
- Awww and he’s such a dork too!!
- If you guys have a movie night, pick a horror movie.
- Baby is so scared of the paranormal that he’ll be clinging to you throughout the entire thing.
- “Mako, it really isn’t that scary-”
- “We’re moving out if this apartment is cursed.”
- “Mako you don’t even live here yet.”
- Jumps so hard at jumpscares and just shoves his head into your neck even further.
- It’s like an extra cuddle session.
- Except you’re laughing your ass off and he’s so scared that his soul probably left his body.
- Very soft spoken, and he hates to argue.
- I mean if you guys fight you’d usually just feel bad and apologise first.
- *cough because he usually never picks the fights.
- Lots of bear hugs and cuddles!!
- Is the big spoon, will forever be the big spoon.
- Okay he tries to cook he really does.
- But he’s so clumsy oh god.
- Usually results in the food being weirdly sweet, or an entire bag of cheese accidentally dumped onto the floor.
- Thank god he hasn’t burned the apartment down yet.
- Just help him cook man he can’t do it himself.
- Good at pretty much everything else though.
- Actually enjoys doing domestic stuff.
- I feel like some of the swim club members were jealous of you-
- Okay maybe not jealous but definitely envious.
- Honestly it seems like they would happily take your place and date Makoto but can you really blame them??
- Overall 10/10 because he seriously tried to sell your apartment on eBay once after a horror movie.
🦈Rin Matsuoka🦈
- Oh god where do I even start.
- ROMANTIC.
- SUCH A CLASSIC ROMANTIC.
- THAT SHIT IS LITERALLY CANON AND I LIVE FOR IT.
- Definitely PDA.
- Will kiss you in front of people just to piss them off.
- Shows you off ALL THE TIME.
- “Oh you can cook? Well so can my partner.”
- “Oh you need help with maths? My partner’s amazing at it gimme a second lemme call them.”
- Lmao it kinda annoys the swim club.
- “Rin senpai, we know you’re not single, you don’t have to rub it in...” ~Momotarou
- Does he care? No.
- Cheeky little shit, I love him-
- Will get jealous very, very easily.
- “Babe, that dude was looking at you weird, can we leave and come back?”
- “Awww is my baby Rin jealous~?”
- “Shut up:)”
- Will not hesitate to fight anyone that hurts you.
- Takes you on the cheesiest dates.
- Beaches, stargazing, nice restaurant, libraries, anything that he’s seen in those old romance movies.
- And he’s such a gentleman when it comes down to it too.
- Holds the door open, gives you piggyback rides if you’re tired, literally kisses the back of your hand before every date, you name it.
- Oh my god I’m so in love w this cheesy awkward dork-
- He’s got a lotta shit bottled up so do expect him to get moody at times.
- Nothing a good cry and cuddle session can’t fix though.
- Likes to feel you curled up against his chest while he plays with your hair.
- Presses your head closer so you can feel his heartbeat just like those kdramas portray it it’s not like he watches them or anything-
- If he’s crying then you’re gonna have to do the cuddling.
- Do the same to him as he does for you when the two of you cuddle.
- Except also stroke his hair and tell him everything’s gonna be okay.
- He needs someone to show that they care thanks for coming to my ted talk.
- When you’re upset he’ll probably start crying too.
- He can’t stand to see someone he cares about upset.
- Hypes you up whenever he gets the chance.
- Will do stupid shit just to see you smile.
- He’s actually very emotional and sensitive, so please take care of him.
- The dynamics in the relationship though like wow they’re insanely good.
- The two of you are just straight vibing.
- Overall 11/10 because I’m clearly biased😌💅.

this man would spoil you to death
he would give you anything you wanted
im not even kidding
“hey jinnie if you can, can you get me some mcdon-“
“yes”
“i didn’t even fin-“
“of course i’m gonna get it for you, don’t be ridiculous y/n.”
eatjins!!!!
he makes u dinner when you’re feeling sad :]
you two make the worst jokes and the members just stare at you while you both laugh at yourselves
you look up to him so he tries his best not to mess up
when he does, he feels like you’re gonna do the same as him and it scares him
you’re his favorite
yoongi
at first he didn’t like you
but then he saw how passionate you were about making music and being in the group and almost immediately warmed up to you
he helps you with writing songs and you do the same for him
he likes cuddling you—in secret of course
the boys saw it once and were like ‘why doesn’t yoongi do this with me tf????’
in his secret message he told you he loved you
“yoongi sent something to me too!”
“y/n don’t-“
“he said he loved me.”
all the boys are secretly jealous of you guys
during concerts you always go up and back hug him while the armys scream your shipname :]
really pure relationship, you’re each other’s safe place
hoseok
the sunshine line!!!!!
you are always hyping up the other members
some people consider you the serotonin line because you radiate the most happiness
“hi! i’m your hope, you’re my hope, i’m jhope!”
“annyeong! oh wait- hi! im y/n and everyone looks so good tonight! thank you for coming! :D”
you guys do girl group dance covers all the time
what is love is the best one and twice always reacts to it and luvs it :]
but then again, sometimes your smiles aren’t real and you both know
you understand each other more than anyone else
whenever you mess up in a dance he’s way more understanding
“its okay y/n. just be more careful next time!”
namjoon
when you guys are on vacation you go and catch baby crabs :]
you guys have a bonsai tree that you both take care of
you tell him everything
when you get hurt (which happens a lot actually) he’s the first to blame himself
you guys had a collab on the recent album
he teaches you new things all the time since you didn’t really have a childhood
stays up late at night helping you learn english
you guys watch friends for the 1000th time together
yall are so cute omg im jealous
you were featured in the mono album
he’s supposed to be the most strict considering he’s the leader but he never scolds you
he can’t stand the frown on your lips when someone gets upset with you :(
jimin
cuddles all the time!!!!!
he loves being affectionate with you omg save him
whenever you’re down on yourself he’s the first one to dry your tears and tell you how perfect you are
he really treasures you
matching pink hair in persona era :D
whenever you two are together it’s always soft giggles and rosy cheeks
sleepovers in jungkooks room
sometimes you cry during concerts and he hugs you so tight while he helps you finish your part of the song
in your minecraft world you and jimin have a bunny named boris
jungkook tried to kill it once but you beat his ass and stole his diamonds
taehyung
you two are definitely the most attractive part of the group
duality !!!!!!!
you two were really close and even worked on a kdrama together :]
he helped you with your fashion and helped you be confident
he cried during concerts a lot too and you two were each others sense of comfort
you and him cried into each other’s shoulder while jin talked about disbanding at the mama
i can imagine you two getting in arguments just because you act so alike
whenever you two do get in arguments its very obvious
the guys always get worried because when taehyung gets mad he always says mean things
one time he said something about how you didn’t belong in the group
you ignored him for 2 weeks because he refused to apologize
after that he never came around you when he was mad because he was too scared of nearly losing you
you guys do vlives together and play pubg with armys !!
very wholesome
jungkook
no one cares about you like jungkook does
he’s not big on affection so its hard for him to show it
but he talks about you like you’re the most important thing ever
and in his eyes, you are
“y/nnie is like an angel without wings.”
“y/n, i ly awake in my bed at night, full thoughts about you.”
you know how vmin are called soulmates?
yeah well
you and jungkook are called soulmates too
you go to him when you need a little piece of home
it would make sense if you went to someone like taehyung or yoongi because they’re both from daegu just like you, but no, you went to him
he brought it up to the guys one day and they’re like ??? no?? she doesn’t do that with us
“we all have our person in the group that we go to when we need comfort and a sense of home, and i guess that little piece of home is you, kook.” namjoon would say
playing overwatch together :]
selcas together all the time
he really loves you even if he doesn’t say it often
it’s the looks
you two look at each other like an old married couple

Flower of Evil Thoughts- Episode 13
I think for Episode 13's post, I'm not going recap the whole thing. I'm just going to talk about some keypoints throughout the episode that really stuck with me as these posts are taking up too much time to write and gather caps for. I hope you understand.
Alright, so... we are starting off Episode 13 showing us a bit of Heeseong's past. And it would seem that from the time he was a kid, he was a pretty mentally screwed up individual. Such as throwing bricks off the roof and killing a dog. And I don't buy for one moment, one MOMENT that he "can't remember" and that he's stressed over school and depressed. That's just an excuse. Like I said. He walks out of the counselor's room, smirks and brushes off his fake crocodile tears. He uses that to get people to feel pity for him.
And would you look at that. There's Hyunsoo and his creepy dad sitting there at the psychiatric center. Do Minseok calls Heeseong out there asking if he knows why he did that. "Yes. It was because of teenage depression caused by academic stress." LOL No it wasn't. That sounds like such a fake, rehearsed line to get people to feel sorry for you. Anybody who pays close enough attention to you, or is just like you *cough*DoMinseok*cough*
"You've never met someone like you. You don't know how to play. You must've been lonely while doing it."
Oh my GOD you creeptastic man! We don't mold and groom people to turn into serial killers and be buddied up while doing it, regardless of how *like you* this kid might be. Well, at least now we know how Heeseong became Do Minseok's accomplice and prodigy. Ughhh ewww... that whole scene actually gave me chills.
Okay, so back to where we left off last episode. You know, just Heeseong and his father casually dumping Soon Young's body into the trunk of their car and finding out Hyunsoo and is wife are there at the house. Hyunsoo and Jiwon have arrived at the place they weren't planning to arrive, surprise! Or is it... trash mom looks a little nervewracked over the fact that they're just randomly showing up there. She keeps peeking and checking corners to make sure Heeseong isn't within eyeshot. It's not like a murder was just committed in the middle of the hallway of her house after all. She tries to pull the "I'm feeling tired. I'd like for you to come back tomorrow."
Jiwon interrupts with "I know everything." Uh oh...
So they're in, they're sitting down. Trash mom is all agitated again.
"What do you know and how much do you know?" her fidgety ass gets on my nerves.
Without missing a beat, Jiwon looks her dead in the eye.
"What are you hiding and how much are you hiding?" Girl YASSSSS.
And then they start pulling the whole "you know who your husband really is, and so you'll just accept that?"
"First of all, I want you to know, that I'm on his side no matter what happens."
Damn right she is. That's her man. Whether his name is Do Hyunsoo or Baek Heeseong, that her is MAN and she's got his back. She loves him and she will support him, regardless of what happens because that's what a strong wife does.
So trash dad says there are many things the 4 of them could talk about it.
"There's not only four of us. There's one more person this house, right? Where is he?" LOL GIRRRRRRRLLLLL. I REALLY love her. My badass female lead. She's not wasting ANY time. And they sure did not waste any time in showing Heeseong hooked up and supposedly in that coma. Claiming he could die at any moment. Oh, please. You can't keep this a secret forever.
"We revealed all the secrets we have." LMAO NO YOU HAVE NOT. LYING SACKS A SHIT.
The way Jiwon and Hyunsoo are looking at each other, they BOTH know something is up and that something is not right.
Ohhh, Hyunsoo, you're brave but playing a VERY dangerous game here. I had a feeling that SOMEHOW this trap he set to catch Yeom Sangchul was going to backfire. But Hyunsoo is right. The person who made a deal with Yeom Sangchul to kill him, the person who offered double the amount of money, the ONLY person who knew he'd struck a deal with Yeom Sangchul that night, who knew the exact amount of money he paid Yeom Sangchul was trash dad, Baek Manwoo. He also wanted him to kill Park Kyung Choon and was going to pay him to leave quietly. All signs point to there's some seriously shady business going on with Baek Manwoo, and I think Jiwon knows this, no matter how much he and his wife try and play up the innocent act.
"I believe I underestimated you." Well, they definitely handled that well.
"Hyunsoo, it's not me." Thing is, trash dad isn't lying. He's not the accomplice for the murders, but he knows who is and him trying to fake both Hyunsoo and Jiwon out is very obvious. If only they knew that Heeseong is not in a coma.
Oh look, the lights just conveniently go out... and here's how we find out that Yeom Sangchul did not go to the summer house. Because Heeseong tells him not to. This guy is really really smart. He's so smart, he's cunning and having that kind of person for a serial killer is rather terrifying if you ask me.
"Something is off. Something doesn't feel right, but I can't figure out what that is."
Jiwon, you're so close... You KNOW something isn't right and I think Hyunsoo can feel it too.
Also, HYUNSOO DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING IN THAT BASKET. DAMMIT. This is going to be how they frame him for the housemaid's murder. I just know it. He's literally handling everything in that basket and getting his fingerprints all over it. They plotted the whole thing with the lights going out, the candles, the mother dropping the basket of items with a tape roll in it.
They had to figure out how they were going to frame Hyunsoo, and this was too perfect. They are so ahead of the game that it's terrifying, and Heeseong is loving it because it really IS all just a game to him. He's a really scary and creepy character. His calculations are spot on with everything. I'm curious how this is going to turn out when Hyunsoo and Jiwon find out Heeseong is alive and out of his coma and he's the one doing this. I really can't get a read on Gong Mija... is she doing this because she fears for her life hence her almost seemingly reluctance? Or is she doing this because Heeseong's her son? I mean she tried to kill him twice now, so...
"Hyunsoo, I've always thought of you as family. That much I was sincere about."
Is she being serious right now? I mean here she is helping frame him for a murder he didn't commit, but is she also cooperating with Heeseong because she doesn't want her son to kill her on one of his crazy rampages? I think she's afraid of her son and fears for her life, but that she actually does care for Hyunsoo because she knows Hyunsoo is not a monster of a man that everyone has spent years making him out to be? I don't know. It's so strange... she's hard to get a read on.
"No matter what you thought of me, I have never wondered what you sincerely felt, not even once."
What does he mean by saying this? That he doesn't really care what she felt? That maybe he actually knows she's always cared for him? Or that maybe she's never given him a reason to wonder about what she sincerely felt in regards to him? The way she's watching him though as he places everything back into the basket she dropped, particularly when he grabs the roll of tape, is unsettling... I really don't get her. Why would she say that? Is she on his side and is just being used by her son and husband? Or is she on her family's side and enjoying plotting against Hyunsoo, tricking him and then framing him for murder? I can't figure her out yet... she's too back and forth and very inconsistent.
Wow... they're very thorough with framing Hyunsoo for this murder. To the point he's pulling hairs out and putting them in their car. More evidence for the police to find that Hyunsoo is the murderer. Heeseong is one formidable foe. He looks far too amused while sprinkling her hair everywhere. As they say in kdrama, AISH!!!
Alright, who's smoking cigarettes and watching Haesoo...? Is there someone else we don't know about?? Does she have a target on her back too? Can we think at all of who smokes in this drama? Has there been anything suggesting a character like that? Also, the person's handprint is on the window. I would think Haesoo would want to tell the cops this...?
You know, I'm with Jiwon on this. I really wish Hyunsoo would stop getting himself involved, but it's almost like he can't help himself. I mean I can't really blame him. Being pushed into almost committing murder (Park Kyung Choon), being told to leave quietly, having a hit put on his life, his wife finding out who he really is, almost having to leave his entire life and family behind and spending the rest of his life on the run? That's a lot for one man to deal with, but if he'd stop getting himself involved, maybe things wouldn't go so far south. Oh who am I kidding. This is kdrama.
And god love him, he's scared to the core for the safety of his family. The very idea that someone like that could exist in his life makes him sick, and the fact that they could reach Jiwon and Eunha terrifies him. This is definitely one of the WORST times he could've picked to discover he has emotions. I feel so sorry for him right now, because he's doing what every loving father and husband would around the world. He's wanting to protect his family. And I love how Jiwon tells him that they're stronger than that serial killer. I love how they smile at each other, that seems to give him confidence. that she covers his trembling hand with hers to comfort him. Jiwon is so amazingly strong. I just love her. I can't stop loving this incredible character. I may even love her as equally as I love Hyunsoo.
JEONG MISOOK IS ALIVE AND I KNEW IT. I KNEW IT. I CALLED IT!!! I called it from the VERY START of them saying they never found her body and that she is still missing. Kdrama rules. If the body is missing, it likely means that person is alive somewhere. But still I KNEW she wasn't dead. It was a feeling I had since before Park Kyung Choon tried to kill Hyunsoo. It would seem she has no memory of anything. She didn't even know her own name, so it makes me wonder just what happened to this woman?? Hmmm... and how is Sangchul going to use her for insurance? Insurance of what? Is he going to go up against Heeseong now and use Jeong Misook being alive to his advantage? This is definitely interesting.
It's 2:31am and Hyunsoo is getting a call that's waking him. I think that's me every time someone wakes me up haha. That's a pretty late time in the night to be calling anyone though. Annnnd it's Heeseong. That much is obvious. He starts mentioning Jiwon and Eunha claiming he's a fan, but it's more than obvious by the total creep factor of his voice that he indirectly threatening Hyunsoo's family. And Hyunsoo knows this. He can feel it. And the anxiety and fear in him is high now. His family has a target on their backs.
What does he do? Search up the location of the phone number and leaves... oh NO. DO NOT leave the house!!! This is the perfect opportunity they have to continue to frame you for murder. They will use the "You left the house for awhile last night, so where were you?" Hyunsoo, I admire your fierce determination to protect your family and to continue to put together pieces of the puzzle, but this is REALLY REALLY bad... and OOHHHH there's a dash cam on someone's car!!! I mean I get that they're on vacation, but please tell me that dash cam might come into play??
Inside the payphone box written on the wall is
"Hide and seek. I can see you, but you cannot see me." And we know Heeseong wrote that specifically for Hyunsoo. He knew that Hyunsoo would come to that pay phone trying to find him. He's having far too much fun with this. It's nervewracking how calculating he is.
And naturally, people cleaning up the woods would find the body. Of course. Hyunsoo left the house, went to the pay phone and that body is likely buried very close to where he was at. And poor Hyunsoo. He's so stressed out and nervous about the indrectly threatening phone call he received, that while he's pouring breakfast smoothies he made for his family, he doesn't realize he's spilling it out all over the table. Instead, he keeps repeating the sound of the voice from last night's call and comparing it to the accomplice's voice in the threatening message he sent years ago. He knows they're the same.
Jiwon asks if her hubby is okay because he's thinking so hard about something he's spilling smoothie everywhere. Then sweet little Eunha comes running with a hairclip for her daddy to put in her hair for her. Makes me wonder how often he's went shopping with Eunha, picked out little hair clips and things for her as well as do her hair for her in the mornings before school? It's such a sweet thing between father and daughter. But ohhhh, Eunha. Why do kids have such big mouths? Lol He left early this morning and she saw? Ohhhh noooo... Busted. Jiwon knows you left. And saved by the bell. Or rather, the phone ringing. It's not like he can just start telling his family right there in front of the both of them that he received a passive aggressive call last night indirectly threatening their lives.
Eunha's little "Fighting, mom!" Was soooo cute as Jiwon rushes off to work.
I love how protective Hyunsoo is over his precious little girl.
"Eunha, look at daddy. Did you talk to a stranger recently?" "No." "You didn't think first." "Hmmm? No." "Never go anywhere with a stranger. What are the rules?" "I will not go anywhere with a stranger. An adult doesn't ask a kid for help. Mom, Dad or Grandma would never ask someone else to come pick up Eunha."
Look at their big smiles. I love how holds her face in his hands and tells her she did well.
Awww baby girl is hungry! How is she SO CUTE!?
"Dad! My stomach gurgled! Did you hear that?" And when he puts his ear up against Eunha's belly. Goodness my heart melted but then cracked at the same time. I'm so scared for this little family. I'm scared to death for Eunha... she's so precious and innocent. Heeseong worked for human traffickers that also kidnapped and sold off children. I'm so afraid for her. I'm so scared something is going to happen to her.
Alright, so the thumbnail is missing on Soon Young's body again. What is it about Heeseong's obsession with fingernails?? He collects the ones on the left hand from his victims while also biting off his own on his left hand. Is this just how he commemorates the killings of his victims? By collecting their nails? Ughhh GOD he is just so GROSS.
Noona is back at Hyunsoo's shop and confirms to Hyunsoo that the accomplice can't be Baek Manwoo because during the time that he was meeting up with them, someone was watching her. Hyunsoo tells Haesoo about the strange call he received in the middle of the night. Thank GOD she knows this!! This is actually really important, I feel. I'm almost hoping that Haesoo contacts Jiwon to tell her about this after everything goes down. I don't like that Hyunsoo is keeping this a secret from Jiwon. I get why, but I wish he'd tell her. I feel like this is really important. And now Moojin is telling them about the body being found and that it was missing a thumbnail, because neither had any clue about anyone being murdered.
The fact that they found her notebook and her notes inside shows the direct connection she had with the murderer. Jiwon looks unsettled as she's reading the notes and wondering who she'd be referring to when she says "If you do this again, I'll tell madam and Director Baek." And of COURSE the body would be found in Makmun-dong... the same location Hyunsoo was at last night when he was checking where the phone call he received had come from. UGH! The Baeks had this too well planned. How frustrating...
And now that they have identified the body, Sunbae is informing Jiwon that it's her in-law's housemaid. Jiwon thinks back to last night on their drive home when Hyunsoo states he needs to meet with the housemaid. She knows something isn't right and rushes out stating she has something to confirm urgently.
I'm really trying to understand Heeseong's obsession with Hyunsoo. Why is he so obsessed with him? Does it have to do with the fact he's Do Minseok's son? Is there something he has planned in regards to him?
Moojin says something here that I feel is really important.
"Serial killers can't contain their urge to kill. Perhaps it was because they were in a situation where they couldn't do anything for the last 18 years."
He's right. Heeseong was in a coma. That's why he couldn't do anything. That's why the serial killings stopped. I'm sure he worked behind the scenes for awhile with the human trafficking ring, but the night he hit Hyunsoo with the car and tried to bury him alive? That's when everything stopped. His family even went to so far as to lie and state he left the country and was studying abroad. I mean really now.
Awww, Hyunsoo doesn't want his sister being alone and very unsafe and exposed, so he tells her that she needs to stay with Moojin. I'm not really a fan of their pairing, but I do love the fact that Hyunsoo is entrusting her safety to someone. Honestly, I'd rather it be Moojin because there's nobody else out there he can ask or trust to care for her and keep her safe. He makes Moojin promise him that he won't leave Noona alone and that he'll keep her safe.
Hyunsoo, Yeom Sangchul is not someone you can use so easily to get close to the accomplice, especially now that Sangchul has his own ideas and isn't so willing to cooperate with Heeseong now.
I'm really wondering what plans Sangchul has for Jeong Misook. He's not sympathetic over her having it rough. He's gonna get paid? How? Obviously he knows that Baek Heeseong is the accomplice and a serial killer, but since he failed to kill Misook, what are his plans to use this to his advantage? I have to do more thinking on this. If you guys have any ideas of what you think he's going to do, please tell me so we can plot and speculate.
Okay, so Jiwon is fingerprinting her husband and comparing the fingerprints. I'm not so sure she willingly believes that her husband went out in the middle of the night and committed a murder on Soon Young. I think Jiwon knows something is definitely up, because she knows Hyunsoo wouldn't just suddenly at the drop of a hat decide to randomly commit a murder after everything they've been through and after revealing his whole life to her. He had plenty of opportunities where he could have committed murder, but the very idea of it sickens him. He expressed that much on their drive home from the Baek's.
Heeseong continues to disturb the hell out of me more and more. He might love and worship his mother, but I get the feeling that if she made one wrong move, he wouldn't hesitate to murder her ass too. And I think the mother is terrified of her son so she's trying to be careful not to make the wrong move. She doesn't want to set off her serial killer son after all. And just like I said, I KNEW they were going to use Hyunsoo picking up all those items, especially the roll of tape, to their advantage. I knew she was in on setting this trap for him. And she seems almost guilty that she did that, after remembering Hyunsoo gently pulling a string of fuzz out of her hair.
Hyunsoo is calling Yeom Sangchul from the burner phone... And who answers? Well SHIT now. Hyunsoo knows that Jeong Mi Sook is alive!!! And I also feel like this is VERY important and needs to be paid close attention to.
Jiwon enters the shop and starts questioning where Hyunsoo was at. Was it Makmun-dong? So Jiwon tells him who's body they found, and that she was in charge of taking care of a person who's in a coma and that she was the Baek's housemaid? She tells him the fingerprints on the tape turned out to be his, all the while shedding tears.
At first I thought, Jiwon are you kidding me? You're a DETECTIVE. You KNOW where the two of you were last night. You KNOW that your husband disappeared from your side very briefly to help "mother" gather up items she dropped everywhere. You KNOW what kind of man your husband is so WHY are you suspecting him of murder now!? This is NOT your style, this is VERY inconsistent of your character, as well as your claim of "no matter what happens, I'll stand beside him." Those were my first thoughts upon all of this when she tells him he's a murder suspect and she's arresting him without a warrant.
Also, I knew the mother would tell the police that she suspects Do Hyunsoo murdered the housemaid. This whole entire thing orchestrated between the 3 Baeks was too well thought out and too well done. Now the entire police force believes him to be a true murderer and that he's guilty. My stomach just twisted. Sunbae just told all of them that Hyunsoo is Jiwon's husband... oh god...
CAN PEOPLE FOR REAL STOP FRAMING HYUNSOO FOR LIKE FIVE FUCKING MINUTES!? OMG!!! It's unbelievingly frustrating!!!!
Anyway, I don't think Jiwon is suspecting her husband of murder. I think she starts to cry because she knows that he's being framed. She also knows that police are going to find out and will be showing up to arrest him as a murder suspect, so she wants to arrest him first. She even tells him that they will make sure he does not get punished for what he didn't do. Jiwon knows that her husband did not murder that woman and that he's been framed. Jiwon is doing this protect him. She's wanting to take him to the police station because honestly he would be safest there while giving his statement as well, but she is not telling her husband this, because she herself wants to get to the bottom of who's framing him once again. That's what I truly believe. Jiwon has her own agenda, and it makes it hard because she and Hyunsoo are not on the same page.
Hyunsoo seems legit heartbroken that his wife believes him to be a murder suspect. So much to the point that he sees the image of his father, has a flashback to his father telling him this.
"Love can be very cunning. It is very sly. It makes you think you can solve everything, but in the end, it betrays you. Hyunsoo, listen to me carefully. When you feel the urge to trust somebody one day, it means you're becoming weak."
Okay, yes, he is distraught by this. He's genuinely hurt because he thinks Jiwon doesn't believe him. That Jiwon doesn't trust him anymore, so much so that it crushes him and makes him see his father once more telling him this. Jiwon gives him that look because she remembers him "seeing" things before that wasn't there. The fact that his wife would believe for even a moment that he could be capable of killing anyone has sent Hyunsoo's mental health on a bad decline once again, and I am so worried for him...
"Tell me something. Do you believe me?"
Jiwon can only say "What?" Because I don't think she realizes what's happening to her husband's mental stability right now thanks to her.
"Or deep down inside, do you believe that I really could have killed her?" He tearfully tells her "If you don't even believe me, then who else in the world would believe me?"
And now, here's where I believe Hyunsoo shuts of those emotions long enough to put his own agenda into play. He's not going to trust anyone anymore, because all it's been doing is getting him hurt, getting people out wanting to kill him, putting his family's lives in danger, and even making his wife not believe in him. Like hell he's going to that police station when the lives of his family are in danger and he knows it. I'm pretty sure I know what Hyunsoo is doing. For this moment, he's throwing away love.
It suggests as much from the preview for Ep 14, but it appears to me that he's setting his own trap.
For one, I will say, he's definitely heartbroken over the fact (at least through Hyunsoo's eyes) that his own wife seemingly does not believe nor trust that he did not kill Park Soon Young, so I can understand his hurt here. I think my heart ached for him too. However, I fully believe that the CCTV was a set up, as well as him "attacking" his wife and holding a blade to her throat. That was a set up too.I believe he was trying to show hostility toward his wife to better her chances and give the accomplice less of a reason to want to go after her. Also, back when he attacked Moojin, he had no CCTV set up in his shop at that point in time, because why would he? It's his OWN shop. There's literally zero reason to have a CCTV in there, especially when he never did before. His shop is right below his house. At least I don’t recall ever seeing one in there til this episode. All he did was lock the doors and close the blinds. There was no unplugging cameras at all.
He points Jiwon toward the monitor and he's turning this into a "hostage" situation because now he's been framed, yet again, for ANOTHER murder he didn't commit, and he knows that that accomplice knows about his family. He knows that the strange call he received at 2:31am was from the accomplice and that his family is ultimately in danger and being targeted. He's creating a hostage situation and is going to do his best to get Jiwon and Eunha somewhere safe. I fully and 100% believe this, because that's Hyunsoo's style and because of the preview for the episode. Like him telling his wife in a very gentle voice "We'll see each other again. Don't look at me like I'm going off to die. Wish me luck instead." Also, they're running off together hand in hand. Jiwon doesn't look like she fears for her life.
It would seem like cheap writing for her to just suddenly start randomly suspecting her husband of murder. It's not Jiwon't style and it's horribly inconsistent to her character up til now. I think both Hyunsoo and Jiwon have their own agendas because Hyunsoo kept the secret of the phone call from Jiwon, and Jiwon knows that someone is trying to have him killed, namely the Baeks. Hyunsoo is using the logical side of himself rather than reacting through the emotional side, because emotions CAN make you weak and now he needs to be as calculating in this game as Heeseong does. Now it's his turn to play Hide and Seek while finding out that Heeseong is the accomplice.
My heart is pumping now and I cannot WAIT til next week!!! It's going to be a very long, agonizing wait, these next 5 days.

just friends?; cho seungyoun, kim yohan
part 1;
pairing: cho seungyoun x fem!reader, kim yohan x fem!reader
genre: university!au, fluff
word count: 1.9k
next |
“come on, y/n. loosen up a bit! It’s the first week of university.” seungyoun, your bestfriend begs you as he literally thrashes around in your studio room.
“no.” you deadpan, “i didn’t go to any parties during college. what makes you think i’m going to change this year just because it’s university?”
“but it’s the first week! you have to go out and make friends.”
you roll your eyes, scrolling through the hotel del luna episode list, pondering whether you should just watch it all over again from the start or only watch your favorite episodes; flashbacks of chung myung and man weol or when chung myung finally shows himself after 1,300 years.
“i don’t necessarily have to go to clubs just to make friends.”
“just for once, please. you have to try living a university life since you didn’t live one during college.” seungyoun continues, this guy doesn’t know how to give up.
you groan, becoming frustrated, “for fuck’s sake, seungyoun. i said no and out of all people, you know the best that if i say no, it means no. just go have fun with others.”
“fine,” he sighs, “it would be a lot more fun with you.”
you eye him suspiciously, “you always went clubbing without me during college anyways.”
“okay, cool. i’m really glad you are not coming with me. thank god.” he scoffs, low-key offended by how you just denied his way of expressing his feelings.
knowing that he’s just messing with you, you just wave him off to leave your room quickly. he huffs, storming out of your room only after ruffling your hair.
you have a pretty okay-size group of friends, consisting of 14 people including you. other 2 boys and you are the only ones who don’t drink, smoke and go out to clubs or parties.
people think you are scared of those kinds of places or you just have really strict parents but none of that is true. you just don’t like the idea of them. you don’t understand why some people pay to just dance with some strangers.
but again, everyone’s different. just like how you don’t understand the way your friends have fun, they also don’t get how you think watching movies and just staying home is fun.
back in college, you used to share a flat with four girls and you are not really close with them. you would greet each other when you see at the halls or at the shared kitchen but that’s it.
when you first arrived, you tried making conversations but the answers were always cut short, making you conclude that they are just not very sociable but when you saw the four of them getting along with each other really well, talking in their own language, you realized that maybe it’s just the language barrier.
plus, you’ve never heard of them speaking in english.
anyways, whenever seungyoun visits your room which is like seven times a day, your flatmates were quick to guess that he’s your boyfriend. it’s funny because it’s not only your flatmates who had that idea, literally almost everyone back in college thought that.
you wouldn’t exactly blame them. you guys were best friends, literally always together. this year, thankfully, you are not sharing a flat with anyone but seungyoun of course, takes that as his advantage to stay in your room almost 24/7. him living on the same floor as you doesn’t quite make the situation better.
you decide to watch episode 14 of hotel del luna and you are not surprised when you find yourself wanting to munch on something as you watch the drama. tesco is just 2-3 minutes walk away. therefore, you quickly grab your winter jacket and leave the dorm building.
you came for two things; the packet of 5 chocolate doughnuts, the melted chocolate pudding and pringles. yes, you have a sweet tooth. your friends keep warning you that if you continue eating this much sweets, you might end up getting diabetes but it’s not like you can help it.
with your poor eyesight, you search for the pack of 5 chocolate doughnuts on the shelves after finding the other two items. those are often out of stock or they just run out quickly.
when you suddenly see a guy grabbing a very similar looking pack of doughnuts from the bottom row, an accidental “wait, no!” slips out of your mouth.
his movements freeze aside from his head which turns to look at you, “sorry?”
“sorry.” you apologetically smile, bending down to look if there’s anymore left.
sighing when you find none, you stand straight back up just to see the guy still standing in the very same position from a minute ago.
you blink, “everything okay there?”
“yeah, um, were you searching for these?” he asks, slightly waving the very sweet looking pack of doughnuts in his hand.
“yes,” you nod. “it’s fine, you can have it.”
“i didn’t say i was going to give it to you though.”
embarrassment floods into your system that very moment. right, he never even hinted that he was going to give it to you.
seeing your reaction, the guy chuckles, “i’m just kidding. you can have it.”
“are you sure?” you ask, hoping he would say yes.
he nods eagerly, “i just wanted to give it a try but seeing how much you want them, they must be really good.”
“they are!” you reply, jumping slightly and he finds it cute.
you don’t know that, of course.
“i will give you two. i will show you a whole new world.” you grin cheekily, striding your way towards the cashier to quickly pay for the doughnuts which are now in your hand.
you don’t even remember how they end up in your hand but that’s not important.
“how do i give you these?” you ask, stepping out of tesco with the guy whom you still don’t know the name of.
“where do you live?”
you look at him wearily. he’s cute, actually really cute. he can even be an actor or idol right away with his looks. also, you are pretty sure he’s korean.
no, you are not a koreaboo. you are just pretty good at guessing people and their ethnicities.
despite him being really good-looking and cute at the same time, it’s 11 pm. it’s still kinda dangerous for you to be telling him where you live and all that. what if he suddenly takes out a pocket knife and threatens you or worst, kills you?
if this was a kdrama, and both of you were the main leads, you would be shipping hard already, because you know, a bad guy and a good girl makes a good cringe love story.
but this is reality. if he does that, you are dead. there’s nothing else after that, no love, no romance.
“where do you live?” you throw back the question at him.
“do you know the student dorm right at the top of the hill?”
“i live there too!” you immediately respond. too much for being cautious of a stranger, y/n.
but if he actually lives there, it’s not bad. is it?
“okay, i’m yohan. first year.” he suddenly introduces, holding out his hand.
“after like 10 minutes of talking --” you quickly cut yourself off, “y/n. first year as well.”
“i doubt it has been 10 minutes of talking.”
“i’m sure it has been 10 minutes or even more than that.”
“so,” he pauses as the both of you are now surrounded with the dormitory buildings. “which block are you in?”
“A, and you must be A too?” you ask, seeing the way his plump lips turn into a shape of o the moment you replied.
“let’s go!” he happily hops towards block A, looking back to see if you are still following him.
“i’ve never seen you in college.” you say, watching him press the elevator button after entering block A.
“i did a-levels so i didn’t need college.”
you nod, understanding, “no wonder.”
“what major are you doing, by the way?” he asks.
“computer science. i have no idea why i chose that as well.”
“i chose --” his answer is interrupted by the sound of the elevator doors sliding open. and there stands a very familiar person in it.
both of you chorus, “why are you here?”
“did you not go to the club?”
“i turned back,” seungyoun answers, eyeing yohan before laying his eyes on you. “you? why did you leave your phone in your room?!”
“i did?” you gasp, putting your hands in your jacket’s pockets to realize that you really did. “i forgot. i went to tesco in a rush.”
“you got me all worried.” he groans, but the relief evident in his voice.
seungyoun grabs your wrist softly and pulls you into the elevator with yohan following behind, already thinking that seungyoun must be your boyfriend.
because, what kind of friend reacts that way?
“oh, seungyoun! this is yohan.” you gesture between the two of them.
“are you korean?” seungyoun asks carefully, to which yohan nods with a big grin.
“yes!” he replies in korean, “i haven’t met any koreans since i moved in here.”
“oh, me too.” seungyoun chuckles, both of them now conversing in korean. “but i know with a few korean people.”
“a few, my ass.” you interrupt and seungyoun quickly shuts you off, “stop being a koreaboo.”
okay, so you do understand korean pretty well due to the amount of korean dramas you watched since 10 years old. but that’s it. you just somehow started realizing that you do actually understand korean and started watching some shows without needing subtitles anymore.
but promise, you definitely are not a koreaboo. seungyoun always like to tease you that you are though because he likes the offended expression you always give him.
“you understand korean?” yohan asks, looking pretty shocked and impressed.
“like i said, she’s a koreab--” seungyoun answers before you can but you interrupt him by elbowing him in the guts.
you see how yohan opens his mouth to say something but the ding from the elevator indicates that you have arrived at the third floor, which is where both you and seungyoun live.
“see you later, then.” you wave at yohan and step out of the elevator, seungyoun mirroring your actions.
yohan watches the way seungyoun circles his arm around your shoulders as the two of you walk away, as if it’s a habit or whatsoever.
even though he’s sixty percent sure you guys are a couple, he decides to not come to a conclusion quickly. with his good looks, it’s no surprise that girls are interested in him.
but he only has guy friends. whenever a conversation comes up between him and a girl, it always turns out awkward. mostly, because, the girl is too shy and timid once she starts talking to someone this charming and good-looking.
yohan who’s a really humble person doesn’t think this. it’s always his friends who point out that he’s too good-looking for girls to not be shy when talking to him.
y/n is a different story, all the way from tesco to the dorm, the conversation flowed smoothly. it almost felt as if they just didn’t see each other for the first time 15 minutes ago.
and maybe, just maybe because of that, yohan wants to know you more.

I want to reblog a post on my dash but it’s the last post in a long chain so oh well.
But basically it’s about how what happens after trauma has a lot to do with whether or not you develop PTSD afterwards, and almost all of the points are things that happened with the Bad Times.
If you’re wondering why the much vaunted spousal person didn’t support me - he does as much as I allow him to. It’s not like I talk to him about this stuff.
He knows that I call manipulative characters in the kdramas we watch “ex-best friend’s username-ass bitches” and I once got him to change his behavior that was really really upsetting me by doing the nuclear move of telling him that his behavior reminded me of the ex-best friend (which was true and which is why I was so upset), but I don’t think he really knows and understands how bad things got. Although, true, he listened to the message the ex-best friend left after I de-friended him once because I didn’t want to listen to it, and he said it was weird and scary.
He does the best he can with what he knows, and he’s definitely a big part of the reason why I’ve been able to heal over the years and why I’m doing fairly okay now.
But it’s just...he’s not part of the community it happened in. He didn’t see it happening. Yeah, sure, he can help as much as he can, but it doesn’t have the same repairing community connections oomph that people who actually saw what happened doing things like not blaming me and not stalking me and not gossiping about me and actually listening to me and caring about my point of view and standing up for me would have.
And again, I realize that a few people did something close to that but it was by the point that I was terrified of everyone and so I didn’t see it.
And no, the period when secrets about me weren’t allowed doesn’t count because it was the ex-best friend himself who decided that when he became a moderator of the secrets, and it was part of his whole thing. Make himself look like the good guy so when I tried to tell people about what he did they wouldn’t believe me and they’d blame me and they’d help him stalk me and they’d say I was “crazy.”
I immediately suspected that when I first heard that he’d become a moderator, and then a while ago someone else confirmed it.
It’s just...like I’ve said for years now, I don’t even really care that much about the ex-best friend anymore. He was awful and manipulative and emotionally abusive, I was vulnerable because I already had complex trauma, the ulcer that almost killed me also saved me from him because it forced me to create boundaries and to find better ways to cope with stress and to start to heal. The end. I haven’t talked to him since 2011, the last time I remember seeing clear evidence of him stalking me was somewhere around 2014 and 2015 I think maybe, whatever. It’s long over.
But what’s still not quite over, but getting there, is the hurt left by the bystanders. By the people who helped him. By the people who gossiped and stalked and made up wild rumors and ostracized me and who decided that I was a person that they should avoid and/or be mean to before I’d ever talked to them or even knew of their existence. And I guess on one level you could say that I shouldn’t blame them too hard, that if anyone knows how good the ex-best friend is at manipulating people I do, but see, here’s the thing.
Even in the depths of it, even when he’d destroyed my self-esteem and my hold on my own perceptions, I still found ways to turn the conversation when he’d bring up someone else and try to trash talk them.
So, you know, I don’t know. There’s being manipulated, and then there’s consciously deciding to let someone else make you think badly of a stranger.
But oh well. I curate my online experience extremely hard these days, and I’ve learned to spot red flags, and I’ve found a way to still be part of the Sims community. And the people I interact with now are generally cool and they do their best to be supportive, and I’ve come so far and I’ve healed so much.
So I am healing, and I am getting better, but it’s just that maybe it wouldn’t have taken almost a decade to do that if the community hadn’t joined in with the abuse.

(what a look though, damn :3)
Yoongi had his eyes on you all night. He knew Namjoon was just a friend to you, and he trusted him. But, that didn’t make Yoongi feel any less uncomfortable when Namjoon kept feeling the need to put his hand on your thigh. All the boys’ eyes had been on you throughout the entire night, and Yoongi didn’t really blame them.
You all were at an awards show together. It was your second time going with Yoongi as his girlfriend. He enjoyed being able to show you off and have his arm around your waist, loving the way your hips were a little shelf for his arm.
You looked stunning in a red, shimmery dress that clung to your curves and hung low around your neck. A slit ran up the side and nearly all of your leg would peak out when you walked. Yoongi had to calm himself down a few times during the night when he just couldn’t stop staring. You were his, and he didn’t want anyone else feelings the things he was feeling.
And Namjoon putting his hand on your bare knee to lean in and ask you something was making Yoongi’s blood boil. Curling his hands into fists, he stood and made his way over to Namjoon. “Namjoon? Could we trade seats?” He asked cooly.
He knew there were cameras on them, and he didn’t want to create a scene. Namjoon’s hand immediately shied away from you. He looked puzzled at first, then just decided to move without asking him why.
“We’ll talk about it later.” Yoongi murmured, while Namjoon just shrugged and took Yoongi’s previous spot. Yoongi sat down, letting his hand rest on your thigh. You kissed his cheek with a smile. He just sheepishly smirked at you and let his hand stray up the slit of your dress. Laughing, you smacked his hand away and leaned into him, while he let his adorable gummy smile show.

What annoyed Yoongi to no end was Jin’s Dad jokes. But, what annoyed him to death was you finding them funny. You couldn’t help it. His jokes were always so pathetic and had you gasping for breath at times. Jin’s funny laugh only added to the amusement.
Most of his jokes around you ended up with you both laughing, then laughing over the way you were laughing.
Yoongi got a little annoyed one night when you were on the couch next to Jin and he kept making puns out of the really bad kdrama you were watching. Yoongi was terrible at asking for cuddles and initiating them, but you could always tell when he wanted them by the way he pouted and complained how cold he was.
Jin kept slapping your knee with every joke and bursting into fits of high pitched windshield wiper laughter that had you rolling too. You both ended up falling into one another as you joked and laughed and ate popcorn while Yoongi sulked in a chair alone scrolling through Twitter.
“Yoongi! Come cuddle me.” You finally whined after the joking had died down and you felt bad for not involving your boyfriend. Yoongi immediately pounced up and came towards to couch. Instead of sitting beside you, he just sort of fell on top of you and tried to curl up in your arms.
“Why are you being such a baby, Yoongi?” You teased, wrapping your arms around his waist and burying your face in the crook of his neck.
“I’m not,” he mumbled lamely while scrolling through Twitter again. You and Jin just exchanged looks and shared brief smiles.
(yoongi is a pouty baby don’t @ me)
H O S E O K
(dear gosh, stop doing this to me hoseok)
The mirrors were steamy from how hard everyone danced that day. You were playing a small role in one of the boys new music videos and were required to learn a small dance routine with Hoseok. Your face wouldn’t show, but he needed a partner who was mildly good at dancing and was comfortable around him.
Yoongi’s gaze would flash over to you sometimes as some moves required his hands to roam your hips and another for your bodies to be pressed together. Yoongi ended up watching the whole thing with pouty lips and shining eyes.
The way Hoseok’s body slid effortlessly into every move and his tongue licked across his lips made you a bit shy. After the practice was done and Hoseok gave you a side hug, sweat stains marking his chest and armpits, you went to grab some water.
Yoongi pressed against your back, pushing your hips into him. “Why can’t I be the one dancing with you?” He whispered, making your ear tickle. You giggled, scrunching up your shoulders. You turned in his arms and wrapped your arms around his neck, leaning up against him with a smirk.
“You’re the one getting all the sex and cuddles, Yoongi. You can’t have it all.” You whispered so the staff and other members wouldn’t hear. Yoongi gave your ass a squeeze before you slapped his hand away with a laugh.
(yoongi explaining that ur ass is his, and his alone)

Jimin had always loved coming to you to talk. He was comfortable around you, and sometimes he needed to hear words from someone other than his male members. Yoongi never really thought twice about it since he knew Jimin was sensitive and needed the love and caring you gave to him.
But, one night on tour while no one else was awake and Jimin needed someone to talk to, Yoongi really wasn’t having it. Jimin texted you around 2 AM saying he really couldn’t sleep and asked if it was okay if he could come and talk quietly with you. He was nervous about their performance the day after tomorrow and needed you to tell him everything was going to be okay.
You glanced over your shoulder to look at Yoongi who was still half awake scrolling through Twitter on his phone. You texted Jimin back telling him it was fine and he could come. What you didn’t expect was to have Jimin come into the hotel room with bloodshot eyes and tear stains on his cheeks.
“Jin said he didn’t want to talk to me.” He said through hiccups. Frowning, you led him over to the bed to sit. “What’s going on?” Yoongi asked, still in bed with the blankets over his lap. You just shrugged, your arms wrapped around Jimin as he cried against your chest.
“Jimin, Jin is exhausted from yesterday and has a cold. I understand him wanting to go back to sleep. It’s not that he doesn’t want to talk to you.” Yoongi sighed, rubbing his face and setting aside his phone.
Jimin was too worked up with stress and exhaustion to reply. You cradled him gently, combing your fingers through his hair as he clung to you. Yoongi looked worried for Jimin, but he knew him well enough to know Jimin just needed sleep.
“Jimin, you need to go wash your face and lay down. I know you need my girlfriend sometimes, but she’s not a pillow you can cry on.”
You gave Yoongi a shocked looked, mouthing ‘really’ to him. You knew he was tired and sometimes said things without thinking that ended up hurting others’ feelings. You were fine with Jimin wanting your love and support, and Yoongi could get over himself.
“But, everyone else is asleep, and I don’t know who else to talk to,” Jimin said through labored breaths and hiccups, his face pale. You held him closer as his shoulders sagged in exhaustion from crying and constant worrying.
“It’s fine, Jimin. You can come to me anytime. Yoongi’s just tired and being jealous for no reason.” You sighed, taking Jimin’s small hand in yours. Yoongi rubbed his face, scooting over by your side to look at you both.
You gave him another look to get over himself, and he finally softened and put his hand on Jimin’s shoulder. “C’mon, Jimin. I’ll get you a cup of water and we can watch some kdrama until your nerves calm down.”

“Yoongi? Are you in the bathroom?” You could hear Taehyung say, his words muffled through the door and the sound of the water pounding in the shower. You wanted to call out to him and tell him it was you and not Yoongi who was showering in the hotel bathroom.
But, the doorknob was fiddled with before you could speak. “I really have to use the toilet and Jungkook won’t get out of the one we’re sharing. Can I please come in?”
He must have thought the muffled, “One minute!” you shouted--so you could at least throw on a towel and step out of the bathroom--was an okay, because the door opened. His eyes immediately took in your naked form behind the foggy glass of the shower door.
His jaw dropped and his gaze fell between your legs for the briefest second before he stumbled backwards. “I’m so sorry, I forgot you were here. I’ll leave.” His face was crimson red and his muscles were tense with embarrassment.
“No, Taehyung! At least hand me a towel,” you shouted, feeling more annoyed than embarrassed. Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut and fumbled around until he found the folded towel on the counter. He reached out to hand it to you through the open door, his face contorted as he tried to keep his eyes glued down.
Rolling your eyes, you grabbed the towel and tucked it around your damp body, stepping out of the shower past him.
“The bathroom is all yours.” You mumbled, leaving Taehyung to stare with wide eyes down at your lacy thong and thin bra in a neat pile on the floor.
Yoongi found out about the incident from you. While you were pretty fine with it, understanding accidents happen, Yoongi had a talk with Taehyung about “knocking on the fucking door before opening it.”
“He’s so embarrassed, Yoongi. Give him a break.” You said, after watching Taehyung leave your hotel room with a rosy cheeks and watery eyes. Yoongi just shrugged and turned to you, watching you dry your wet hair with a towel.
Without warning, he climbed up on the bed and into your lap, straddling you. “I just don’t want anyone else having the privilege of seeing you naked.” He blushed, trying his hardest to be sexy, but instead he just looked pouty with his puffy cheeks and rosy lips.
You put your hands on his chest and kissed his pouty lips. “Ok baby boy, I’ll be more careful next time.” You grinned as he buried his face in the crook of your neck and smelled your damp, strawberry smelling hair.
Gosh, you loved him.

Jungkook had always viewed you as one of the bros. It was easy for him to get along with you and joke around. So, when you wore a bikini on vacation to a resort with BTS, Jungkook didn’t seem to notice.
Yoongi watched you tan in the sun for a while, unable to take his eyes off your glowing exposed skin. Blushing when you turned to look at him, he quickly looked away. Jungkook was fooling around the pool with Jimin and Taehyung, threatening to throw them in if they didn’t stop splashing him.
When their chatter suddenly ceased and it was unnaturally quiet, you raised your head a bit to see what they were up to.
Jungkook was on you in an instant, scooping you up from your towel. You squealed as he threw you into the pool, a grin prominent on his face the entire time.
You resurfaced, coughing up water and rubbing sunscreen from your eyes as you attempted to tread the cool water.
“Really, Jungkook?” You huffed, trying to seem upset with him, but even you couldn’t hide your amusement. Jungkook was holding his sides, wheezing from laughing so hard. You rolled your eyes as you climbed out of the pool, holding the straps of your bikini top that had come loose from the fall.
Yoongi seemed to be the only one unamused. “Hey Jungkook,” he said from his seat in the shade. “I would prefer you not to touch my girlfriend when she’s wearing a bikini. There’s some skin showing only I can touch.” He said as you came to sit next to him.
You only rolled your eyes while Jungkook blushed and seemed to realize he’d had his hands all over you while trying to hurl you into the pool. Nodding, he turned and jumped back into the pool to chase down Jimin and Taehyung who’d been eavesdropping.
“He’s fine Yoongi,” you said, trying to tie your bikini strings again. “You’re just being jealous.”
Yoongi smirked, leaning into you and resting his chin in the crook of your neck. “I just really like you, that’s all.” He mumbled shyly, taking the strings from you and beginning to tie them himself.
(he just really likes you, ok ;-;)

Thursday 12th July, 2018
Hi Blank,
This is another revelation of change hitting me at 1:58am.
I have decided that I feel change my pessimistic approach, and return back to my happy optimistic-ness. Sometimes I wonder what happened to the old me, who was actually happy despite everything fell apart around her. I’m going to find her; I’m going to learn to be happy and see the world positively.
I am going to dance in my own parade, and I am going to be me.
I am me. I turned twenty in May, and unlike most twenty-year-olds; I don’t have a job or a concrete education plan, and that’s okay.
I am just twenty and I have the rest of my life in front of me. It’s okay if I don’t get into law, there is a world out there that’s waiting for me. I can always do something else, and who cares what people think. We can just keep on telling them I’ll be a lawyer and they’ll eat that shit out the palms of my hands. But I will tell my parents, I will tell them maybe it’s not made for me, and I can do something else that will make me happier. It is my life.
I don’t go out and party, because I’m too cool for it; I don’t go because I still live in a household where any age under the age of thirty is equivalent to a ten-year-old, and I am no longer going to resent that fact.
My parents are just trying to protect us; it's a little over-bearing but they don’t want us to make mistake. They treat us well and make sure we’re happy. Yeah, they may be a bit hard to approach because of our culture and society, but we, I, close them off too. I will try to be kinder and nicer to them, and help them when they don’t understand the changing world around them.
I don’t have a boyfriend, never had a serious one. The closest thing I had to a proper boyfriend was when I was sixteen, and he became my closest friend.
But, now we don’t even talk, but that’s okay. I can’t keep talking to him, knowing I am hurting him. I am sorry that I can’t fall in love with him, but I am not sorry for loving him, even if we never talk again.
I will fall in love when I am ready. When I can love myself, I will fall in love. So when my heart is broken for the first time, I’ll be there for myself, to love myself back as a whole.
I don’t have any hobbies that are amazing; all I do is read books, write fanfics, daydream, surf tumblr, we heart it and insta, and watch kdramas and cry listening to music. And that is perfectly fine, you are perfectly fine.
Because I like other things too; I like laughing with my friends, and long drives with the windows down. I like looking at the trees and the sky as I walk, with music playing through my earphones, and feeling smaller than the world, and letting that make me feel better. I like winter days where everyone is dressed warmly, and I like listening to spring playlists in the middle of winter.
I like going to the arcade with my friend, and winning tickets, cause one day I will get one of the big prizes. I like eating pizza with my friend while talking about how insecure and lonely we are. I like telling she is perfect and beautiful because it is true.
I like candles, puzzles, and playing games that people call boring. I like autumn and every colour in the world. I like not choosing favourites because I’m scared the other inanimate object will feel sad not being loved. I like smiling, and looking at myself in the mirror and thinking I am pretty.
I like tidying and cleaning things up. I like cleaning the bathroom and seeing my whole family happy. I like cleaning my room and feeling like I have my life in control when I’m far from it. I like it when I get sudden motivations.
I like getting messages from people who read my work and tell me they felt something reading it. I like writing stuff. I like hoping that people reading my work feel the emotions I do as I write them. I like hoping that other’s tummy drops and turns when they read my work.
I like when I dress up nicely and sing songs I can not sing. I like watching movies and crying. I like crying. I like being angry. I like smiling, and helping people out even though they’re mean. I like building up a person based on their past, their good and bad rather than just focusing on the bad.
I like when I know what others are talking about. I like it when the world shifts around me, and I feel like I’m not truly here. I like it knowing that life goes on.
I don’t like being called fake. I don’t like wet plastic bags. I don’t like people telling me to clean my room. I don’t like it when my parents blame my incompetence on my drama watching.
I don’t like feeling lonely. I don’t like seeing others cry. I don’t like others hurting others. I don’t like it when people think they are superior to others. I don’t people who make me feel little.
I don’t like people who think they are always right. I don’t like people who don’t make an effort and blame it on me. I don’t like hot weather. I don’t like old people living alone.
I don’t like my grandparents going to bed at seven, and only having one visitor.
I don’t like not living my dream. I don’t like the capitalistic society where the rich get rich, and some no matter how hard they try will never make it materialistically.
I don’t like hypocrites. I don’t like people who forget others are human. I don’t people who think to have a taste of “popular culture” makes you uninteresting. I don’t like people who link a persons taste to their character and shape them according to it.
I don’t like completely cut trees. I don’t like it when people don’t follow basic rules, like waiting for your turn in line.
I don’t like it when I’m mean to myself. I don’t like it when I pretend like I’m joking but I’m actually being an ass to myself.
I like dancing in front of my cousins and sisters and watching them laugh. I like talking about my brothers “future wife.” I like seeing a future and seeing myself happy.
I read somewhere that “once you change your perspective, the thing changes.”
I’m tired of romanticising my sadness, and worries.
I am going to be me; even if it is annoying.
I am going to see the glass as half full, and think of only happiness and wish the same for everyone.
I will no longer compare myself to others. I will post my pictures with caring about others. I am me, myself and I am only defined and shaped by the choices I make.
If I decide to be happy, I will be happy, and I will be.
It’s okay if my parents fight, and my sister’s gang up on me. It’s okay if my friends are busy. It’s okay, because it's just a bad day, not a bad life. And even if it is a bad life, the sky is huge; what I am, who I am doesn’t matter. So, rather than a self-pitying little shit, I will be a happy girl who lived happily.
One day everyone I know, and myself, will no longer exist. The only thing that will is the life I lived and loved, resonating through the world, and I will make it beautiful.
I am just twenty; this is just twenty years to start the rest of my story.
Everything will be okay, Blank. We will be okay.

Was It Love?: KDrama Review
—
—
Bingo Card For Was It Love?
Synopsis: Noh Ae Jung [Song Ji Hyo] is a single mother and works as a producer for a movie company. She has not had a boyfriend in the past 14 years, but 4 men appear in front of her. Oh Dae Oh [Son Hojun] is a mysterious best-selling novel writer. Ryu Jin [Song Jongho] is a popular actor. Koo Pa Do [Kim Min Joon] was once a gangster, but he is now the CEO of Nine Capital financial company. Oh Yeon Woo [Koo Jasung] is a PE teacher at a school.
Overall Main Plot: Rating - 6 out of 10
I actually really liked the plot idea; at least, in the sense of what it sounded like in the description. I was pulled in because of Song Jihyo, but also because it was about single-motherhood. However, the execution of the actual plot... wow. While the overall concept was a good idea, there were just some misses that they could have hit easily.
Who’s the Father - this was the main storyline and I kind of liked it, until they kept dragging it out. It was obvious Dae-Oh was the father, considering that he was the only one with a deep history with her. Everyone else’s romances felt rather shallow, so we were able to understand from the get-go who the male lead is and who was most likely the father.
The Mother-Daughter Relationship - I’ll dive into it later with the characters, but these two had a good-ish relationship. It just felt strained due to all the miscommunication. Their relationship was supposed to be apart of the main plot, considering it centered on the question of: who’s Hani’s father? But the writers didn’t really do that. We got some glimpses of it in the beginning, but then it just centered on Ae-Jeong and Dae-Oh’s romance and it just kind of fell apart.
All The Miscommunication - this was literally the root of all the problems in the drama and I was just... annoyed. If they had all just talked to one another, there would have been no drama at all. It just felt so more melodramatic than it should have been, when it could have all been easily solved.
Characters: Rating - 6 out of 10
↣ Noh Ae-Jeong [played by Song Jihyo] - I actually kind of liked her character the most compared to the other characters. I mentioned in 100 Days, My Prince about how I love seeing strong female leads; single motherhood is hard and watching her try to make things work, without giving up her life, dreams or child was very satisfying. She always put her best effort into what she did and tried not to let people walk over her. However, her character felt kind of weak as the drama progressed because the events that happened around her were not due to her choices. Apparently, the development became: she’s independent and learned to lean on someone; in reality, it should have been about communicating with others to work things out or something.
↣ Noh Hani [played by Um Chaeyoung] - I don’t know how, but Hani was acting exactly like a 13/14 year old and acted more mature at the same time. She had fights with her mom, she struggled making friends, she makes dumb decisions, etc. I liked that side better because it felt more appropriate; she’s a teenager and she’s going to throw fits and be dumb because that’s what being young is about. I don’t like how the writers made her have this double side. There were also some scenes where I felt concerned for her: meeting up with a whole stranger (Ryu Jin) to adopting a dog that she couldn’t care for. There were just too many holes to her character and I didn’t like that they made her inconsistent, which is due to the writing but still.
↣ Oh Dae-Oh [played by Son Ho-Jun] - out of the characters, I think Dae-Oh had the most development. A lot of people say that they didn’t like him, but I do appreciate that he became better by the end of the drama, whereas most of them remained the same. In the past and when they first met again, it’s clear he’s arrogant and petty and demanding of her. However, by the end, he’s realized that his actions have consequences and he tries to be more careful and understanding. I think the whole daughter situation made him wake up and he realized the types of sacrifices that Ae-Jeong had to make. That doesn’t exclude him from the stereotypical male lead in dramas tho, so points are docked off.
↣ Ryu Jin [played by Song Jongho] - I hate him. Okay, hate is kind of strong. I kind of pitied him because of CEO Song and how he got stuck in that relationship with her. However, the whole “I saw her first” and deleting the text was a dick move and I grew to hate him. Like, bruh, how are you still friends with Dae-Oh? I did find him funny because of his wild and dramatic imagination, but there was just so much I didn’t like about him. Even if Hani was his child, he was so hesitant to claim responsibility compared to Dae-Oh. Hani even hated him and I did not blame her. I also hated how he met up with her rather than trying to communicate with Ae-Jeong about what was happening. I did like that he took Hani to see how her biological parents fell in love at the university but, again, too much to dislike about him.
↣ Oh Yeonwoo [played by Koo Jasung] - okay, I actually hated him though. Unpopular opinion: he was the most annoying possible love interest. Everyone trashed Dae-Oh, but no one said a thing about how toxic Yeonwoo is. I did like that he bonded with Hani and, by the end, he just wanted them to be happy. However, he was the most useless character and he only caused more problems rather than solved them. He’s Hani’s teacher and he chose to live with them; his mom hates Ae-Jeong for “stealing him away” and made Ae-Jeong uncomfortable with his confession and CONTINUED to make her uncomfortable. He always popped up in the most useless times and it was just annoying. Originally, I thought he was cute and then, as time went, he just felt more and more unnecessary to the plot.
↣ Koo Pado [played by Kim Minjoon] - 10/10 the best character of this drama. I absolutely loved him and his relationship with his son. Originally, I had no idea as to where this sub-plot was going, but I actually kind of liked the way it went (although the whole Chinese mafia made me confused for a bit). Anyways, Pado was precious as time went, especially since he adopted a son who’s not even biologically his. He was super funny too because he didn’t mean to sound so ominous, but his red pen made it look so threatening. I really liked him throughout the drama, even though I knew they weren’t going to end up together. I really wanted more scenes of him and Ae-Jeong being friends that bonded over single-parenthood and lowkey sticking out during the parent meetings.
Personal Notes: I hated Ahrin [played by Dasom] because she kept going after a guy who was in a relationship and continued to disrespect boundaries throughout the drama. Like, girl, chasing after a romantic relationship with the director of your film? This couldn’t wait until after? I only leaned into her a bit when she stood up for Ryu Jin, but also they’re both assholes who kind of deserve each other. Speaking of Ryu Jin, I still don’t understand how they still are friends after all of that. In the end, they were still friends and I was just so confused because they were so... separated by the end of it and never really got closure? There was just a lot happening and I did not enjoy it.
Romance: Rating - 5 out of 10
This romance was kind of mediocre. While I liked the ex to lovers trope going on, there were too many things blocked me from enjoying it. I want to start first from their romance in college. Dae-Oh puked on Ae-Jeong’s shoes to stop her from kissing someone else; while it’s creative, it was still pretty manipulative, but at least he was honest about his intentions? He proceeded to kind of harass her into getting a meal with him and then intentionally ate a clam (something he’s allergic to) to get her to do something for him. I was getting war flashbacks of the Notebook all over again. Although, I do like the moments of when they were dating; it was cute to see Dae-Oh to try and impress Ae-Jeong by stealing that large deli umbrella or when he was trying to make her laugh during a boring class. I understood the fall out, but, again, communication would have solved that easily and they could have lived a much different life. When they reunited, it was entertaining no doubt because he was “getting his revenge” but, by the end of it, he regretted everything. While it was nice to see that change in him and that romance between them blossomed, I think the main thing I couldn’t get pass was the fact that he just left her after things were getting hard. Just when they could have mended their bond and Hani could have a father like she wanted, he just left. Again, I liked the snippets of their romance, but overall... it was kind of half-assed.
Second Plot/B-Plot and Secondary Characters: Rating - 8 out of 10
I loved the other characters in the story. Noh Ae-Jeong’s mother is the absolute bomb; while she was a bit nosy, there was that warmth from a mother, especially when she was calling out to all those people that were gossiping about her family and when she showed up to the parent meetings. There was so much I loved about her. I already expressed my love for Pado and Dongchan, so yeah. We love their father-son dynamic and watching them grow and bond is so satisfying. As for the other characters, there wasn’t anyone else I was particularly attached to. I did like Ae-Jeong’s assistant and felt really bad for her too because of all the chaos that unravels. The two points off the ten is because of Ryu Jin and Ahrin; they’re selfish characters and didn’t really learn anything other than pity themselves. By the end, they got together but I didn’t feel anything towards them. I think Ryu Jin was supposed to be likable as a second male, but it just didn’t work for me. There’s also Yeonwoo and we already know how much I don’t like him. Overall, I think the characters portrayed their parts accordingly and contributed to the plot (for the most part), but there were just some that made me frustrated.
Additional Notes:
The Last Episode - Yikes. That last episode was a mess. It was clear they threw in a conflict last minute so there could be ANOTHER separation period, even though Dae-Oh was supposed to take responsibility for Hani and I’m just so confused. There was already the 14 years because of the pregnancy and then they just threw in two more for the heck of it? God. On the other hand, I did like the glimpse of Hani and Dongchan’s wedding. It was cute. Other than that, this episode was disastrous.
This was more melodramatic than romantic or comedic like they implied for it to be. Again, all of the conflicts were due to miscommunication and all the confrontations were so dramatic. Hani gets a free pass because she’s 13/14, but the adults? They needed to get it together, but they were all acting like they were teenagers and... ugh.
The College Flashbacks - I actually did enjoy these snippets. It was super cute to see how they were like as a couple and I feel like there should have been more time spent on that. I think there would have been more benefit to spend the time with them throughout college and then having their time skip the 14 years and Hani’s born.
Overall Rating: 6.5 out of 10
Recommended?
↣ Yes: this was a drama with multiple love lines for all sorts of people (exs to lovers, Noona-romance, mafia love line, etc.). It felt like You’re Beautiful, just less painful when the second male lead was rejected. This was also a drama with multiple things happening, so if you want more than just one plot, you kind of get it here. There’s also a lot of focus on family, since it’s about being a working, single mother. There’s also lots of flashbacks, so if you like putting little puzzles of the plotline together, this is for you. There’s also a lot of flawed characters, which makes it easier to connect with them and the choices they made.
↣ No: there’s a lot happening, but also not much is happening. Either a lot is happening all at once or things are progressing over a long time. As things progress, it also might get frustrating to watch. This is more of a slow burn drama, where the two don’t really get together until near the end. Again, the characters are flawed, so they make some mistakes that might be frustrating for you to watch or it’s hard to understand why they did some of the things they did. I would also say that this has a bit more drama, so if you are looking for a romantic comedy, this isn’t exactly the one for you.

Okay but this day has been super revealing for me as a recent army, because i cannot fuckin believe there are people stanning them that complain about us complaining about Jin i mean WHAT THE FC K ? And using phrases like "Oh look how are you acting how do you think the boys would feel?" Well shit i didn't know BTS were my parents, and i dont even care about what my parents say im 24, im not here to play nice and baby them, if big hit fucks up i will let them know- Monstruo Azucarado Anon
Anonymous said: also i bet my fuckin ass, all of BTS is watching this with that Margaery Tyrell Smirk on their faces, because of course they must know, they must feel awful for Jin sometimes because BH is treating that dude unfairly AF. To be sincere i can´t even blame him if he decides to quit and go all in for Kdrama, i bet my ass dude could be a super star! He went to school for that shit! I wish, at least, that this day has teached BH something about management -Monstruo Azucarado Anon
the problem is that jin not getting enough attention/proper treatment isn’t a new thing. this has been going on since debut and fans have been complaining for a long time. and those people that tell others to stop complaining and that “it’s not a big deal” are a lot of the problem. they’re letting bighit get away with all this and worse yet they’re justifying it.
all I can hope is that bighit listens this time and starts giving jin the treatment he deserves. let him sing more, let him act, give him screen time, etc. they’re such simple fixes and I’m waiting to see if bighit comes through in this next comeback~

Buffyverse tagging meme: I was tagged by @rorysummersblog and @alkenifanfiction and @lucious Thank you- I wriggle like a puppy while I am answering. Damn, my life needs a life...
top fifteen characters (in no particular order)
1. Wesley 2. Spike 3. Angel 4. Faith 5. Giles 6.Tara 7. Buffy 8. Lilah 9. Oz 10. Xander 11. Willow 12. Lorne 13. Illyria 14. Cordelia 15.Gunn
favorite minor characters?
Ethan Rayne, Drusilla, Darla, Clem, Cassie, Vi, Amy, Jenny,
ranking of favorite seasons of both shows
ATS: 5, 3, 2, 1, 4 BTVS: 2, 6, 5, 7 , 3, 4, 1
top ten episodes of both shows - this is based on what I would watch, not on the episode quality (in no particular order - depends on my mood)
ATS: Reunion, Redefinition, Billy, Loyalty, Orpheus (entire arc is really one episode so I’ll say they are all tied), Deep Down, Destiny, You’re Welcome, TGIQ (Spangel fan here), Damage,
BTVS: Becoming 1&2, Lie To Me, Passion, Fool For Love, The Gift, OMWF, Normal Again, LMPTM, Beneath You, Band Candy
ats or btvs? ats (but it cycles)
least favorite main character?
I hate to say it, but the more I watch the more later season Fred gets on my nerves
top ten ships?
Spangel, Weslah, Fuffy, Spuffy, Xandelia, Tillow, Spesley, Spiles, Spander, Cangel
do you write fanfic?
Yup - mostly m/m or vignettes
what fanfic do you read?
Spike/Angel, Spike/Giles, Spike/Wesley, Spike/Ethan, Spike/Dean Winchester - with some Spike/Xander creeping in - you might notice a pattern here. Some mild Spuffy - lots and lots of gen fic - anything written with snark and excellent voices, or wrenching grief, kinda depends on my mood. Not that big on graphic sex - I prefer stories that explore characters
A few favorites:
The Relevance of Spike - stakeaclaim - this is the way season 5 Angel should have gone. The Relevance of Spike - Author: stakeaclaim - "It was a big day. A hundred and twenty-five years. A quarter of the way through his second century and he’d decided today was the day it was all going to change" And it all does change, though not in ways any reader could expect. It's long, unpredictable, and intricate, and it will keep you up all night reading. Spike/Angel
Go No More A-Roving - thea_bromine - Warnings – this is a Deathfic. Mind you, it’s largely about Spike, so it would be a Deathfic on account of Spike not being altogether alive. However, I’m warning you, death happens to a major character. Well, to Giles. Both beautifully written, and quite funny, with excellent voices. If you had the chance to live on would you do it in a vampire’s body? Even if it means sharing that body with it’s owner - Spike? It has a sequel on the same page with WWP as a main character - filled with delicious snark. Giles/Spike (but not in the usual way)
Three Lions - Lesley - Takes place after season six, in England where Giles tries to help and angry Willow, and a newly souled vampire whose mood veers between Italian widow and Mickey Mouse on crack. Throw in WWP escaping from stalker Lilah and you have a recipe for disaster. Funny but deeper and more layered than it sounds - warning Death of a major character. Gen fic
Siren Song - Morgana - Picks up after Twihard, but there’s a reason Dean was throwing up after he took the cure - it didn’t take. He’s left a vampire, and while he tries to ignore it, that turns out to be a very bad idea. At the end of his rope, Sam calls on an old contact of their father’s, who promises to send them help in the form of a vampire expert. Problem is, they didn’t expect the vampire expert to be a vampire himself! Dean is forced to spend some time with his new mentor, learning about what it means to be a vampire, from blood (which he doesn’t want to drink) to sires (which he doesn’t have) and more. Spike/Dean, Xander/Sam when did you start watching? About 8 years ago - when I became disabled my younger daughter made me watch Buffy, and I was hooked. The show and fandom gave me someting to put my energy into as I went through the healing process. I watched “Angel” afterwards - also under protest. That’s where my main ships set sail - Spangel, and Weslah.
show recommendations for Buffyverse fans? I have odd taste in shows so not sure if they will appeal
Vikings - history channel - interesting characters and kick-ass women (Lagertha in particular)
Shameless (on Netflix) - that same sense of community as a family of poor kids struggle to survive without parents - filled with humor, and snark. If you have ever been a poor urban kid, you will find yourself here.
Goblin: The Lonely and Great God - Kdrama - another one of my daughters but a Korean Goblin and a Reaper are so shippable! (same daughter XD)
do you own/collect anything related to the shows? Just CDs my daughter ripped from her box set
how often will you watch an episode? When I’m in the mood - it can be several times a week, or not for months
how many times have you watched either show all the way through? I think 3 times - maybe 4
five unpopular opinions?
1. When something is wrong with the show, Spike is not always to blame - if Spike is your all purpose scapegoat then go away.
2. Bangel and Spuffy were both extremely dysfunctional relationships by any normal standard. What Angel did to Buffy was just as bad as the ar
3. Characters are more interesting when they screw up - and it’s still okay to be upset by choices they make.
4. Fred/Gunn slowly drains the life out of Fred, and she never quite makes it back. Fred/Wesley is not about love, it’s about adoration and worship
5. Wesely/Lilah is the hottest relationship in the B-verse.
least favorite thing about the fandom?
The whole beware Spike fans - Spike fans are waiting to kick your puppy, spoil your milk, and burn your house to the ground with your whole family inside. They are a single organism with one opinion and in control of fandom. We are all being victimized by Spike fans, and their foul, evil ways. We hates em - we hates em all...I mean, dislike the character and I can understand if not agree, but lately i am running into stuff about Spike fans. Disliking real people on the basis of a who just seems weird, and sad.
I tag @silverspike, @baudown @restfield @cortexifansquint, @captain-peroxide-pest, @feliciacraft, @carry-on-my-wayward-wesley, @catty-words @gwendolenau, @demandingbillydolls, @soulfulspikethekiller @comlodge and anyone else who wants to!

Appearing before The Dramacourt: Just Between Lovers Eps 11 and 12
***If this is your first time browsing The Drama Files, please read The Rules section first for our reviewing and rating system***
Issues:
Whether Ma Ri’s story is compelling.
Whether Kang Doo’s strength is admirable.
Whether Kang Doo’s condition is more serious than we initially thought.
Whether Kang Doo set the “boyfriend” bar very high.
The Rule(s):
Very much.
Totally.
It seems like it is.
Very, very high.
Analysis:
RedRosette J: So as predicted, this week was an emotional punching bag. Going from extreme sadness in one episode to extreme happiness in the next. Episode 11 was extremely difficult to watch. At least for me it was. I had to pause it several times to take a breath and wipe away tears. Junho was amazing as the heartbroken Kang Doo saying goodbye to Grandma. It felt so real, so raw and the hurt was everywhere. I can’t think of anyone watching this who wouldn’t want to hug and console Kang Doo. Junho was so awesome that you didn’t need subtitles to understand Kang Doo’s pain (I was impatient so I watched it RAW). 5 stars to Junho!
Again, in these episodes the construction drama took a backseat as episode 11 dealt with Grandma’s death and immediate aftermath and showed our beloved characters mourning the death of their friend. Episode 12 switched gears as Kang Doo finally made the choice to be happy and live his life like Grandma wanted with Moon Soo. *insert endless cuteness*
OMG how sad is this?
Nooooo Grandma!!!!
*sobs*
Poor Kang Doo
Even in grief, things have to get done
BOO!
A very Grandma-like wake
All he needs is a hug honestly
Making deals on Grandma’s behalf like…
Throughout episode 11, Kang Doo struggles to reconcile his current way of life with what he wants for his life, all the while mourning Grandma’s death. Moon Soo gives him the space he needs to mourn Grandma, but all the while lingering in his vicinity to let him know that she’s there and that she’s not going anywhere. She’s honestly one of the better written female leads in a kdrama. She knows how he feels about her despite his attempts to push her away and even though it hurts, she knows not to take it seriously. Like when he uses Kang Han Na’s character to upset her, she knows he’s doing it to upset her. Moon Soo, too, intentionally flusters him by getting all up in his face because she knows the effect that she has on him and that he can’t keep pushing her away for much longer. Anyone looking at Kang Doo’s face can tell that he’s literally using all his resolve to stay away from her.
She knows how flustered he’s going to get LOL
Smart girl Moon Soo
Everyone knows he was trying to make her jealous
This is literally the one time she didn’t look like a total psycho
I also appreciated that Moon Soo’s circumstances at her work reflected a very real problem that women face in the workplace. If there is a situation where there may be a romantic entanglement in the workplace, it inevitably comes back onto the woman. The CEO having a crush on her ended up being more difficult for her because her co-workers started blaming her for getting assignments because she was having a fling with the boss. I love that Moon Soo stood up for her self when the Team Leader was passive-aggressively dropping hints that she seduced the Boss for her benefit. This type of work place harassment is not okay and good on Moon Soo for shutting that down! I just wish that the CEO guy could get his shit together and be a better boss and avoiding putting his employees in situations like this.
Setting things straight
Shutting down passive aggressive co-workers like…
The Director also got a good (and well deserved) kick in the ass when Ma Ri (I had to look up Noona’s name) shut his horrible attitude towards people down. I’m sorry but he needs to learn to respect people. Just because he’s the director of a large corporation doesn’t mean that he gets to stomp around and be mean to everyone. Him being an ass about Grandma was more than Ma Ri could take. Her shutting him down had a much bigger impact on him than Kang Han Na’s character saying the same to him earlier on in the episode. Regardless of who you are, the dead should be respected.
Nah fam….that’s not right
One thing that really resonated with me was when Kang Doo brings Sang Man with him when he goes off to pay the last of his debt. This gesture that means so much. Sang Man is essentially Kang Doo’s best friend and bringing Sang Man along to his most triumphant moment is a celebration (which probably explains the suit) and I totally understand wanting to do it with the person who’s seen you struggle through it all. And for Kang Doo that is definitely Sang Man. In more ways, Sang Man has been a constant in Kang Doo’s life with his unwavering, nonjudgmental friendship and I completely understand Kang Doo being grateful for it. Good and true friends are hard to come by and Kang Doo got really lucky with Sang Man.
#swag
Eating with your bestie is the best thing ever!
Issue 1: Whether Ma Ri’s story is compelling.
RedRosette J: Ma Ri’s (Noona) story is very compelling. Tbh, I didn’t expect them to go this route with her story of how she met Kang Doo, but I like that they did because it raises interesting views about both her and Kang Doo. Domestic abuse is a horrifying reality for some women and the fact that bystanders judge and don’t intervene as it is happening is even more horrifying. The fact that Kang Doo tried to save Ma Ri from this horrible situation is why she has so much respect for him and why they are so close. I also love that Ma Ri is able to laugh about it now because it shows how far she’s come and how strong she’s become. She’s now this powerful woman who essentially controls rich men and is never going to let any man control her again. Her past experiences also explain why she’s so hesitant to date someone now. It provides more context for her previous conversations with Grandma about dating someone. I admire what Ma Ri has managed to build for herself even though the rest of society continues to judge her for it. This drama is excellent at showing us character growth and depth.
Hearing truths like…
This is horrible
Seriously awful
Kang Doo to the rescue!
Bravest boy ever!
Issue 2: Whether Kang Doo’s strength is admirable.
RedRosette J: I think that Kang Doo’s strength and character actually makes him much more impressive than CEO Boss in so many ways. Not only has he survived such a traumatic experience and come out of it (mostly) well, he is also someone who goes out of his way to help and be there for the people he cares about. He gives his everything to the people he cares about. The fact that little Kang Doo intervened to save Ma Ri from her abusive ex-boyfriend speaks volumes about his character which sets him apart from the average person. He stands up for what is right and never lets his “disability” with his leg overcome him. With Grandma he fought to the very end to help her live and with Moon Soo, now, he’s trying to do everything he can to make her happy. That is really admirable. He’s selfless in a way that is so simple and he makes it seem so effortless. This kind of inner strength is really admirable and I think he’s the better man!
This hurt to watch
I was crying right there with him
It gets better Kang Doo…
Time heals all wounds
Finally rescued
When you finally pay off your debts
When the roles are reversed
Issue 3: Whether Kang Doo’s condition is more serious than we initially thought.
RedRosette J: I’m still really hoping that Jae Young discovers that those pills are vitamins and not actually painkillers! We discovered that the other guy had actually been dead for days next to Kang Doo in the building collapse. We don’t know whether he died after having the conversation with Kang Doo or whether Kang Doo imagined the whole thing. What we do know is that it had a profound impact on him to he point where he has hallucinations of this guy in his life now. I’m hoping that Kang Doo realizing that there was nothing he could do to save the guy will help him overcome the guilt that he lives with. Either that or the poor boy needs some real therapy. I really hope that the drama doesn’t go all gloom and doom and do something drastic like give Kang Doo a terminal illness or kill him off (DO NOT DO THAT. DO YOU HEAR ME? DO NOT!!) but at this point, things aren’t looking so bright on the health front for Kang Doo.
Get her those pills Moon Soo!
Hawwwt!!! ❤
Issue 4: Whether Kang Doo set the “boyfriend” bar very high.
RedRosette J: My favourite, favourite moment of this entire drama is when Kang Doo grabs onto Moon Soo’s hand and tell her that if she doesn’t walk away then, he’s not going to let go of her! *OMG SWOON* Let me just say, Kang Doo in boyfriend mode is the best version of Kang Doo. I LOVE the way he stares at Moon Soo like she’s his whole universe, goes out of his way to do things for her, and tries to be better for her. He took the bar to another level when he literally scaled her building to bring her ice cream when she was sick! It’s official. Nothing short of this is going to count anymore. And that kiss. Smooth boy, real smooth. I love the two of them being cute together and I really really hope we get more of it before the annoying construction drama starts piling on.
RedRosette J Aside: Here’s a montage of these two being cute.
Conclusion: Appeal Allowed.
Rating: 5 = KYAH! ❤ (As much as I cried in episode 11, episode 12 made me feel warm and fuzzy and everything about these episodes were amazing! I have no complaints!)
