Yuri Visual Novel Series ‘FLOWERS’ to be Continued in New Drama CD

On February 1, 2020, Fumio “Sugina Miki” Aoki, the director of the popular Yuri visual novel series Flowers and CEO of the studio that produced it, Innocent Grey, announced that a new Flowers drama CD series would be released this April.

The new drama CD, entitled Flowers -Langue des Fleurs Strelitzia, is a four-disc set. The first two discs contain the main story, the third includes a  mise en abyme story, and the fourth a free talk (stylized as Flower talk). The main story of the drama CDs will take place two years after the end of the game series. -Langue des Fleurs Strelitzia will be released in Japan in April 2020.

Although the cast for the drama CD has not been officially announced, Okamoto Rei Tweeted that she would be reprising her role as Kousaka Mayuri, one of the series main characters, for the drama CD.

Flowers is a Yuri visual novel series developed by Innocent Grey. The series is directed and illustrated by Sugina Miki and written by Shimizu Hatsumi. Four games were released between 2014 and 2017, Le Volume sur Printemps,  Le Volume sur Été, Le Volume sur Automne, and Le Volume sur Hiver for Windows pc. Over the years, the games have been ported to various decides, including the PlayStation 4, Playstation Vita, Android, and Nintendo Switch. A collection of all four games Les Quatre Saisons was released for Playstation 4. Additionally, special editions of the games came with six drama CDs.

The first two games in the Flowers series have been published in English by JAST USA. JSAT USA announced that they would be adapting the third game into English, but have not yet confirmed a release date.

Fumio​ ​knows​ ​he's​ ​strong.

He​ ​doesn't​ ​doubt​ ​it,​ ​in​ ​fact​ ​he​ ​never​ ​really​ ​had​ ​ever​ ​since​ ​the​ ​day​ ​his​ ​quirk​ ​manifested.​ ​To​ ​label the​ ​blonde​ ​that​ ​can​ ​easily​ ​cut​ ​through​ ​steel​ ​with​ ​a​ ​quick​ ​swipe​ ​of​ ​his​ ​hand​ ​as​ ​weak​ ​would​ ​be​ ​a rather​ ​foolish​ ​statement.  

Fumio​ ​knows​ ​he's​ ​stronger​ ​than​ ​his​ ​boyfriend.​ ​Both​ ​of​ ​them​ ​do.​ ​Tenshi​ ​has​ ​yet​ ​to​ ​win​ ​a​ ​single arm​ ​wrestling​ ​match;​ ​the​ ​last​ ​one​ ​ended​ ​with​ ​a​ ​badly​ ​sprained​ ​wrist​ ​on​ ​the​ ​third​ ​year's​ ​end​ ​and slew​ ​of​ ​apologies​ ​from​ ​the​ ​second.​ ​The​ ​only​ ​reason​ ​Fumio​​ ​hadn't​ ​​broken​ ​his​ ​lover's​ ​arm​ ​was because​ ​the​ ​dragon​ ​had​ ​been​ ​holding​ ​back,​ ​as​ ​much​ ​as​ ​the​ ​redhead​ ​always​ ​told​ ​him​ ​not​ ​to.  

His​ ​strength​ ​is​ ​also​ ​evident​ ​with​ ​the​ ​ease​ ​that​ ​he​ ​carries​ ​Tenshi.​ ​The​ ​flirtatious​ ​hero-in-training isn't​ ​small​ ​but​ ​Fumio​ ​puts​ ​in​ ​little​ ​effort​ ​when​ ​he​ ​bench​ ​presses​ ​the​ ​other​ ​during​ ​their​ ​training sessions.​ ​In​ ​fact​ ​the​ ​only​ ​thing​ ​that​ ​manages​ ​to​ ​make​ ​his​ ​arms​ ​give​ ​out​ ​are​ ​the​ ​suggestive comments​ ​Tenshi​ ​purrs​ ​that​ ​shatter​ ​the​ ​blonde's​ ​concentration.  

"T-Tenshi!" "What?​ ​I'm​ ​an​ ​honest​ ​man."

Yes,​ ​Fumio​ ​is​ ​strong.​ ​Between​ ​his​ ​ability​ ​to​ ​slash​ ​through​ ​metal​ ​to​ ​his​ ​gift​ ​of​ ​flames​ ​that​ ​can melt​ ​the​ ​surfaces​ ​of​ ​concrete​ ​the​ ​boy's​ ​raw​ ​power​ ​surpasses​ ​that​ ​of​ ​many​ ​pro​ ​heroes.​ ​Fumio knows​ ​he's​ ​stronger​ ​than​ ​a​ ​good​ ​portion​ ​of​ ​the​ ​population,​ ​but​ ​he​ ​can't​ ​help​ ​but​ ​feel​ ​a​ ​sense​ ​of safety​ ​when​ ​he's​ ​wrapped​ ​in​ ​Tenshi's​ ​arms.  

They're​ ​nice​ ​arms.​ ​Rough​ ​and​ ​scarred​ ​and​ ​calloused​ ​as​ ​his​ ​own​ ​from​ ​the​ ​rigorous​ ​work​ ​from​ ​a hero-in-training​ ​but​ ​simultaneously​ ​warm​ ​and​ ​inviting,​ ​as​ ​soft​ ​as​ ​the​ ​peridot​ ​eyes​ ​that​ ​reflected all​ ​the​ ​love​ ​in​ ​the​ ​universe,​ ​from​ ​the​ ​moon​ ​to​ ​the​ ​stars,​ ​whenever​ ​their​ ​gazes​ ​met.

Those​ ​eyes​.​ ​​ ​A​ ​light​ ​shade​ ​of​ ​pink​ ​dusts​ ​Fumio's​ ​cheeks​ ​when​ ​he​ ​thinks​ ​of​ ​Tenshi's​ ​eyes.​ ​The way​ ​they​ ​crinkle​ ​at​ ​the​ ​corners​ ​when​ ​the​ ​redhead​ ​flashes​ ​his​ ​signature​ ​grin​ ​elicits​ ​butterflies​ ​in the​ ​dragon's​ ​stomach.​ ​How​ ​they​ ​light​ ​up​ ​the​ ​way​ ​a​ ​firefly​ ​does​ ​after​ ​dusk​ ​whenever​ ​Fumio enters​ ​the​ ​third​ ​year's​ ​line​ ​of​ ​sight.​ ​How​ ​​rapidly​ ​​said​ ​light​ ​fades​ ​whenever​ ​Fumio​ ​is​ ​in​ ​a​ ​slump​ ​as the​ ​usually​ ​sweet​ ​hearted​ ​archer​ ​becomes​ ​overcome​ ​with​ ​the​ ​desire​ ​to​ ​cut​ ​up​ ​whoever​ ​it​ ​is​ ​that may​ ​have​ ​hurt​ ​his​ ​rose.

If​ ​Fumio​ ​had​ ​to​ ​rate​ ​them,​ ​however​ ​(he​ ​prefers​ ​not​ ​to),​ ​Tenshi's​ ​eyes​ ​would​ ​be second​ ​only​ ​to his​ ​lips.  

Fumio​ ​stares​ ​at​ ​them​ ​a​ ​bit​ ​more​ ​often​ ​than​ ​he​ ​does​ ​the​ ​rest​ ​of​ ​Tenshi...which​ ​is​ ​to​ ​say​ ​is​ ​an enormous​ ​amount​ ​that​ ​makes​ ​steam​ ​trickle​ ​from​ ​the​ ​corners​ ​of​ ​his​ ​own​ ​mouth.​ ​It's​ ​impossible not​ ​to,​ ​he​ ​often​ ​thinks​ ​in​ ​an​ ​attempt​ ​to​ ​make​ ​an​ ​excuse​ ​for​ ​himself.​ ​They're​ ​plump​ ​and​ ​soft;​ ​the feeling​ ​of​ ​them​ ​on​ ​the​ ​blonde's​ ​skin​ ​makes​ ​Fumio​ ​feel​ ​he​ ​were​ ​embracing​ ​a​ ​cloud​ ​and​ ​they often​ ​tasted​ ​of​ ​sweet​ ​fruits​ ​from​ ​the​ ​various​ ​chapsticks​ ​Tenshi​ ​frequently​ ​misplaced.

He​ ​doesn't​ ​describe​ ​it​ ​out​ ​loud,​ ​finding​ ​his​ ​own​ ​thoughts​ ​to​ ​be​ ​rather​ ​cheesy​ ​in​ ​addition​ ​to rambling​ ​about​ ​Tenshi​ ​enough​ ​to​ ​his​ ​loved​ ​ones​ ​enough​ ​as​ ​is.​ ​The​ ​satisfaction​ ​of​ ​their​ ​lips connecting​ ​is​ ​too​ ​hard​ ​to​ ​describe​ ​anyway​ ​even​ ​if​ ​he​ ​wished​ ​to.​ ​Fumio​ ​didn't​ ​even​ ​believe​ ​it​ ​was something​ ​he​ ​was​ ​worthy​ ​​of​;​ ​after​ ​the​ ​horrid​ ​incident​ ​in​ ​middle​ ​school​ ​he'd​ ​been​ ​mildly convinced​ ​that​ ​he​ ​wouldn't​ ​be​ ​worth​ ​much​ ​in​ ​a​ ​romantic​ ​relationship.  

Tenshi's​ ​​words​.​ ​They​ ​weren't​ ​the​ ​only​ ​source​ ​of​ ​Fumio's​ ​strength​ ​but​ ​he'd​ ​be​ ​lying​ ​to​ ​himself​ ​if he​ ​tried​ ​to​ ​say​ ​they​ ​didn't​ ​help​ ​at​ ​all.​ ​He'd​ ​snorted​ ​the​ ​first​ ​time​ ​Tenshi​ ​called​ ​himself​ ​a​ ​poet.
