Izuku is a walking Schröedinger's Cat; his survival in the Sludge Villain attack relies on his future self's actions.

Oh boy it's time for paradox writing, haven't tried that since A Single Thread but here we go...

1- Izuku almost dies to the sludge villain, and All Might tells him he was good he yelled for him to help so he could hear and get out the right sewer opening, Izuku is too out of it to remember that he didn't have a chance to yell, and he certainly didn't think All Might would be close enough to hear.

2- Izuku keeps a tracker/journal in that semi ruined but signed notebook of the rest of his training, a few days noted for All Might showing up early, for a weird day where a trash pile almost fell backwards on him, etc. Canon continues to progress

3- then we get to the collapse of society, bad time for everyone, and one day Izuku wakes up to find his notebook written in- red ink circling a few days, then a question at the bottom: when did Eri's quirk activate? Izuku didn't write this, and he hurries to Eri, hearing muffled voices. But when he gets there, Eri is alone with her tears.

4- Eri is excited he's back, and he's confused because he never left. She goes back to frowning. "You're going to ask me about my quirk." He shows her the notebook, and she nods. "I told you I don't remember, but I'll do what you asked." Then he horn starts to glow.

5- Izuku is now going backwards through time. He goes back to himself to try to get answers, only to realize the past-him is sleeping, and there's nothing in his notebook unusual. Izuku copies over the days and question from his, then leaves to warn Eri. Now he has to go back through the days, saving his own past life. And if future-past-some version of him is right, he'll need to wrap it up by being present when Eri's quirk manifested the first time, or he'll be going backwards forever.

if there is one thing i wish more people understood it is the fact that just because i do not understand something does not mean that i am automatically opposed to it. there are many things that i do not understand for example alloromanticism, the workings and practices of many organized religions, and the existence of white chocolate but that doesn't mean i want to scrub their existence from this earth. i love knowing and comprehending things but theres also some things that i simply cannot understand right now for some reason or another and thats okay. humans are weird, varied, and complex! i'm not the judge jury and executioner of the entire universe and i am very glad i'm not! and anyways imagine how fucking boring knowing everything would be

I forgot where I read it probably from some handbook but iirc drow hair is one of their symbols of beauty and to cut off someone’s hair is a way to punish and humiliate them. don’t really know if that’s an actual thing - BUT now I am thinking of shri’iia having longer hair throughout act 1 until she becomes an oathbreaker. it is only when she accepts her status as an oathbreaker that she cuts it to the bisexual bob that she usually has <3

I know we've been over the "Neil's accent is really hecking odd" thing from several different angles but actually it's really interesting that one of the most noticeable things about how he talks is that every single time he repeats "what's happened happened" he says it in a Distinctly American tone. almost as if he's parroting someone else, a certain American friend, who may have originally taught him that tenet.....

also dusted off my cosplay nekros loadout cuz i’ve had darvo on the brain recently . i am sooo normal about this guy

he’s got a fun build on him too... definitely nowhere near meta but i really like messing around with it. replaced his soul punch ability with vauban’s tesla nervos, slapped the creeping terrify augment on him and primarily built him up for strength/range with med duration and admittedly dogshit efficiency lmao, but it’s always a bit of a trade off. pretty much totally neglecting his shadows since it’s so energy heavy to keep recasting, but i primarily use him to slow everyone down with terrify and proc electric on them with the tesla balls, setting the enemies up for my teammates to knock ‘em down easy and then sweeping through with desecrate for extra loot. he’s absolutely killer on survivals and excavations but lately i’ve been taking him everywhere just cuz i think he’s fun. my silly little guy

(the dual cestra and snipetron were just for the captura - lately i’ve been running tenet envoy/tenet diplos with either the innodem or that one fuckin corpus glaive we got from the deadlock quest that i keep forgetting the name of. worlds only thrown melee enjoyer)
