this kind of hit me like a truck but in the most positive way, and i am not exaggerating when i say what you wrote also brought me to tears.

first of all thanks for your generous words regarding my art and sdkjfhkjas i still cannot wrap my head around the idea that you (and at least one other person) thinks about me as THE tf2 artist because... i like my art just fine, it's just there are other folks out there, with their almost god-like tf2 art, meanwhile i just spammed y'all with my sniperxspy art and some random silly stuff over the years... but i love it, so thank you so so much, the thought that you guys dig my art this much will always knock me right off my feet in the most positive way 🧡🧡🧡

ok so, the next part took me a while to formulate because how do i respond to such a heartfelt message in a way that shows my gratitude just right? like i want to thank you again for reaching out and writing all this, but also for taking your time and reading through my blog. i know that everything i post here is open to the internet and a lot of ppl, so sharing personal information (in form of updates in life) is not always the best idea. but i always admired ppl on here that were able to reflect on their lives and share what they've learned. even if it's just somethig as simple as "and after each day comes another and it will be different, for the worse or the better, but different at least", which, falling on the right ears at a specific time, can change perspective (it did for me on multiple occasions, this and other takes, because hearing from ppl who go through similar things is a sad reality, but also such a connecting experience). so in a way, sharing is caring, and so talking about life experiences, especially when they are kind of abstract, like art blocks, depressions, can really open some unexpected doors.

so what also happened after being open about vulnerable situations in life was ppl reaching out. and this was really something that left me so speechless. i had several ppl who took their time and wrote to me about their experiences and ways of coping strategies and other helpful actions. and sometimes they just acknowledged what i wrote which was such a warm gesture that made me feel seen. and i cannot put into words how much that meant to me when i felt at my lowest a few years back. let's be honest for a second, on here we hardly know each other, even if we are mutuals, but that doesn't stop us from reaching out to one another because that is such a big part of the human experience.

sorry for rambling but it is hard, at least for me, just trying to fully grasp it all. it makes me so happy to read that catching up on the things i wrote about my life resonated with you on a deeper level and that it gave you something back in exchange - catharsis and hope. i am deeply touched by your words and your ability to grasp the essence of what i tried to convey, it feels almost surreal to have it summarized and reflected so clearly when my original thoughts were scattered all over my blog over a span of multiple months, years even. like, really, thank you so much for all of this, the time and thoughts you put into your message, your genuine expression of your feelings and joy on my behalf, it means a lot and i fail to put my thanks into words, idk... i feel seen again. and no worries, i don't think this is too parasocial, after all i put my thoughts out there, and you just happened to read them 🧡

I had to go through the archive to remember which ones I wanted to check out, but a few of them would be The Walten Files, Red vs. Blue, The Murderbot Diaries, I Am In Eskew, and The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality. Many of the characters posted here look interesting, but I'm such a slow watcher/player/reader/etc. that it'd take me decades to go through everything lol

ok i saw someone's reblog on chap 22 and wanted to put my comment on the whole feet thing

(was debating even sending in this ask cuz I was like. who tf wants an anon in their box talking about feet 😭 but then I was like well maybe I can make it Profound)

I always read tags on fics so I can know what I'm getting into. always. I checked chap 22's before I read but I must have skimmed fast (I was excited to read 🤭) and missed the feet warning so it kinda came at me in the fic lol

it honestly wasn't bad because it's not like anything sexual and it ended up being kinda cute/funny (with the soap/gaz pedi day cuz I can imagine them gossiping and talking shit while they get their nails done) but to me feet are just a general Avoid

because a year or two ago, feet weren't really an issue for me. But it felt like for some reason people started making jokes about feet and taking pics of people holding hands with their feet (like their feet were holding hands 😭🤢) and it just....did not sit with me

and now I can't even stand to have my own feet in my line of sight. Not in my peripheral, nowhere. I don't like looking at them just cause they gross me out.

I've never had problems with self-image due to social media but it still feels weird that I can't even stand to look at my own body part sometimes 😭

I get you, though. Feet are so gross to me. No hate to people who are into feet, it's just my own personal thing. I have feet issues and struggle to touch my feet much less look at them. I throw socks on as soon as they're dry from the shower. I sleep in socks, I wear socks on the hottest days in the summer. I just can't with feet.

It took me by surprise that I went that way with the scene 😅 maybe I was just projecting my disgust with feet onto Simon a little.

Góðan daginn! I'm AXYER, Chimney, or Heart! AXYER's more of a stage name I prefer to be called if we're not too familiar with each other, Chimney's just a general name, and Heart is more of a friendly name if we're talking more casually. I also go by Axon if we're VERY close, please ask before calling me that!

I am a being birthed by the madness of Entropy that looms on urban towers in the scintillating moonlight dedicated to my resentment of everyone around me. You'd think the God of Moon and Emotion would get a lot more done with this power. You'd be mistaken.

I love psychology, like a lot. I consider myself to be at the point where I even know ✨🔍👁️ Forbidden Knowledge 👁️🔎✨. I'll let you figure out what that means. 😉

My most fondest corners of psychology would be trauma responses, child psychology + child development, behavioural psychology, and the effects of internalisations and conditioning. I'm veeeeery well-versed in mental illness but I don't consider it one of my primary psych interests. I know most about anxiety disorders!

I'm also VERY VERY big into writing!!! I absolutely LOVE fiction, and I think it's a very vital thing for a lot of people's happiness. Fiction is magical, and I think it's beautiful how much it can shape people and their sense of what makes them happy. I LOVE crossover AUs, like, REAAAAAAALLY REALLY love crossover AUs, like, basically every single one of my main stories are crossover AUs, like the kind where five-hundred different fandoms exist in one big town together.

I also love zoology, sociology, astronomy, biomes, modern Iceland/Icelandic culture, winter/night aesthetics, fashion, trains, photography, coding (I'm just starting, though!), and a few more my busy brain can't afford me to think of right now. My main interests in psychology are trauma responses and my main interest in writing is character-writing and worldbuilding!

I consider myself an honest person, and I really don't like lying to people. I try not to be blunt but it slips out sometimes, and I really dislike sugarcoating things. If you need honesty, I want to give you honesty! I don't think people can properly change if they're not given a right step in the right direction, so I try to be as honest as can be. If I don't feel like I can be honest with you, often times that's a bad sign in our friendship. Honesty is a big thing to me!

I find that getting immersed in a good story is very healthy for the soul, just as long as you don't wade too deep that you can't pull yourself out. My dreams are to bring my silly, self-indulgent stories to the world and help people get lost in them, too, even if for only a little bit. Nothing brings me more joy than the idea of helping people get lost somewhere they feel safe, if not thrilled from the drama rather than poisoned.

If you're interested in any of my stories, I'd be happy to share a bit about them!

The primary ones would be:

-Pillow Club, a very self-indulgent AU where fictional characters from all sorts of worlds beyond the perceivable multiverse live inside of modern rural Iceland, with a lot of supernatural worldbuilding but ultimately restricted to urban fantasy. The main cast lives within the Pillow Club, a big, apartment complex-esque building where characters live for free at the cost of stricter living conditions, run by a certain well-known rabbit serial killer man with a lot of secrets. It's intended to have similar stakes to a more exaggerated, supernatural slice-of-life version of reality; there's no overarching goal, characters go about things as they do and conflicts and goals change as life happens. The main protagonists are all from niche to semi-niche stories, namely my AUs of the such.

The two ids, Heart, an angelic, purple id with a boisterous and friendly disposition, and Mind, a robotic, shark-like blue id with a much more reserved, awkward, and stoic (yet well-meaning) personality come to be Cameron's only joy in life, and he raises the two the best he can (which thankfully, they age extremely fast) and they're one happy family, until Cameron loses his humanity and becomes an id as well. Heart and Mind not only face hurt from Cameron's family, but soon, Cameron himself; now Soul.

As for DNI? Well, DNIs aren't exactly… known for their effectiveness. As mentioned and implied several times now, I HATE arguing and I am TERRIBLE with conflict. I'm willing to debate so long as you're polite about it and can agree to disagree (without insulting myself or my intelligence, Shae), but generally speaking I don't like to fight people and am an extremely sensitive person.

Here's the things I absolutely will not discuss:

-My stance on DID/OSDD, there's a lotta misinformation and disagreement on a lotta things on it so I'm just not comfy talkin about it m'ny'alright? I'll say two things: it's a real disorder and anyone who accuses people of faking things are losers.

-Trashtalking, I dealt with it enough at my old house and have dealt with it enough in the past at an all-girls highschool and I do not condone it whatsoever. I'm fine if you need to vent or you're just telling me an interesting conflict in a friend group (that I am NOT apart of!!!!!! Do NOT make me your rumour person knucklehead!!!!!) but I draw the line at genuinely insulting people and spreading rumours!

-My stance on the USA election. Another "you can't win" situation. Please leave me out of most politics in-general, I try to avoid that on this blog as I want my blog to be something I can look back on and not feel stressed about. Yes, I hate Trump.

-Tumblr controversy. I try my very hardest to be nice to everyone regardless on if I like them or not and if you let me know they're not cool, I'll distance myself, but please don't try to go after me if I'm still nice to them. I'm quite literally nice to everyone lest you REALLY hurt me, which only a select few people have and even then none of them are allowed on this blog.

i know it's been months by now but it bothers me that kokobot (an ai tumblr has been using for mental health support except it spams any users who go into tags like adhd or autism, not to mention it does not count with any actual professionals) keeps spreading tumblr users' positive messages to prove they're a totally safe service. which i'm sure is NOT done with consent.

like it does help some ppl out there but for the most part kokobot uses your data and the interactions can be very unsafe and triggering, especially considering there are minors using the bot. it's completely unethical and yet tumblr will recommend you the bot in that "is everything ok?" post that pops up when you go into a "sad" tag.

mentally ill ppl deserve better than this fucking shady bot.

Dear baby tumblr users

I just want to let any of the little baby accounts that follow me now because of the stupid new rule tumblr put in place to know:

If you don't have at least have some number of liked posts (not from me specifically but anywhere on here) in your Liked folder, by like a week after you've followed me, I will assume you are a bot and report & block you as such.

Or better yet start making posts yourself, like at least 1, or reblogging things you like. Have that be the first thing you do when you can start doing stuff.

I don't know what you think tumblr is, but this is a blogging site, you kind of gotta give the rest of us at least a vague idea that you're a sentient being with human experiences and desires ok.

What you should do on Tumblr

Now I don't mean put personal details like your real name, or where you live/work/go to school, or what your triggers are. That's none of any of our business, and honestly you shouldn't be putting that anywhere else either.

Stuff like your hobbies, or favorite books/tvshows/movies, or some weird out there thing that happened to you one time.

You want to interact with fandom more, this is a pretty good website to do it on, especially if it's for collaborative works.

You want to role play, there's entire role play communities on here.

You wanna do nothing but follow feel good blogs that posts nothing but cute animal photos you can do that.

Tumblr is what I like to call day-walking social media. In the fact that it allows you to be an absolute little creature on here in your own time, and be able to pass as a normal member of society IRL if you're doing it right.

If you're trying to get internet famous, you've infamously come to the wrong place as the most famous users on tumblr tend to be people the average tumblr user base has done their best to run off the site.

How tumblr works best is if what you're most easily identified as among your fellow tumblrites is your personal interests and quirks rather than your personal information.

There's no such thing as spam liking or spam reblogging on tumblr. You can dig into someone's post archive and like and reblog every single one of their posts and nothings going to happen to you or the person you're reblogging stuff from.

Blocking

You don't need a reason to block anyone.

I've blocked people for just seeing them spew hateful shit directed at another user and that made me uncomfortable.

I've blocked people who're in the same fandoms as me just because some of the stuff the write/draw makes me uncomfy.

I've blocked blogs who just makes posts about stuff I'm uninterested in but constantly come up in my search results because we're in the same fandom. As there's only so many variations of character/reader story tag variations I can be bothered to put into the block tag function before I just get sick of doing it.

I've blocked people for dumb blorbo opinions that I just cannot agree with, because that's far better than starting beef with a rando because I saw that they view a character differently than I do.

I've blocked people who I can only assume were making a trolling attempt in the comments of my own posts. Or they really were that illiterate and gutsy enough to come yell at me for their dumb interpretation of what I posted on my own post.

Tagging

There's the tag block feature as I mentioned earlier, though be warned it's not quite perfect.

Dumb people will try and censor themselves in the tags, which means it doesn't get blocked when you try and block that tag. So don't use numbers or symbols in place of letters. Not to mention improperly tagging all together.

Such as tagging a flashing image of something as Epilepsy rather than tagging it as Flashing, which is actually dangerous. As people who actually have Epilepsy tend to use their tag as a way to talk about their experiences and talk to fellow epileptic people meaning that they could get bombarded with flashing images unexpectedly if you're tagging flashing imagery as Epilepsy.

1. Computer Dreams (1988)

Computer Dreams is basically just a collection of "latest tech and highest quality" CGI effects and animation from the time it was released. It's narrated by a woman that also had a role in the movie and tv series Max Headroom (gifs below) which was super popular at the time and idk just having a second grade celebrity tossed in just fits the vibe!!

The thing itself is actually pretty educational, brushing over some (very) basic level computer generated imagery tech and explains how the effects are done. There's also a clip made by NASA, showcasing their latest concept of a future Mars rover project and the narrator says that it will one day come true. They didn't even know that they only had to wait 8 more years until the first one was launched and that today we have more little (ok pretty large) critters going all over the place there and I'm just ugly sobbing rn

2. Tron: Legacy (2010)

Continuing with the CGI theme, this is a sequel to a groundbreaking 80s CGI movie, Tron. The original movie is also pretty fun when you start recognizing how familiar all the stuff feels either because they're being referenced in later works, or because there really was just a small bunch of nerds that knew how to do this stuff and ended up accidentally carrying the entire industry on their backs.

Tron: Legacy itself is actually pretty trashy movie but goddamn is it pretty!!!!!

And the reason I'm picking it over the original is because it has Daft Punk in its soundtrack :>

BEcause - Dreamcatcher

I love this song. I never get tired of listening to it. It's a "love song" from the POV of a dangerously obsessive person who may or may not be out to kill the object of their affection (I told you Dreamcatcher got dark). I think it's insanely cool that the choreography is an homage to the movie "Us". You really see it in the beginning where JiU bows to Gahyeon and Gahyeon responds like her mirror image, only to then reach out and put her hands around JiU's throat. It hearkens back to the iconic funhouse scene in Us. Absolutely fantastic. 10/10, I have no notes, flawless execution (pun fully intended). This is why Dreamcatcher is my ult. For those of you who don't speak Kpop, ult means ultimate bias, or ultimate favorite. Nobody can beat them in my eyes. Nobody even comes close.

2. Zombie - Purple Kiss

Another song I can listen to on repeat for days and never get tired of. Listen at your own risk -- it's so catchy, you'll never get it out of your head for the rest of your life. Not only is it very cute and fun, it sort of helped me get over my irrational fear of zombies. Now whenever someone says the word, all I hear in my head is "ZOM-bie-bie-bie-bie, bie-bie-BIE-bie-biebiebie". 🧟‍♀️💘🧟‍♂️

3. Heartburn - Sunmi

Ignore the stupid title, this song is not about acid reflux. It's a beautiful, catchy, summery song that's 10% tragedy, 90% vibes. This is why Sunmi is the queen.

4. Love Dive - Ive

So right about now, you're noticing a pattern and you're like "hey wait a minute, this is all girl groups/singers!" Yes, I listen predominantly to girl groups. Male groups just really aren't my thing (even though I do still jam to the GOATS like Shinee and BTS occasionally). This song got insanely popular last year and I've had it on my playlist ever since. There's just something so addictive about it. Also, there's a popular interpretation out there that this song is about the myth of Echo and Narcissus. I don't know if that's the real story behind the song, but it fits so well that it's my headcanon, even if it turns out not to be true. 🎶 Narcissistic, my God, I love it. 🎶

5. Catallena - Orange Caramel

And finally, no favorite Kpop songs list of mine would be complete without Orange Caramel. Weaponized cuteness at its finest. This song is about a girl having a crush on another girl, which is an idea that was pretty rare in Kpop at the time. It mixes Korean Trot, Euro dance beats, and even samples a Punjabi wedding song, all the while the girls cosplay as sushi. Nothing about this should work, but it all fits together perfectly in one weird package. This is another one of those "listen at your own risk" situations because I guarantee you, once it's in the wrinkles of your brain, it's never coming out.
