a lot of people aren't going to like that i say this but i say it because i think it's true:

many of y'all nonblacks do not create black characters because you care about portraying us and our stories; but rather you do so because you care far more about presenting yourself as an 'ally', or because you want approval from black people, most notably creatives... or worse, solely because you want to clout chase and act as if you're doing us any favours by portraying us in whatever thing you're making.

i would rather seek out black creatives like myself than entertain nonblack creatives who only seek to clout chase and gain approval for doing the work we've already been doing

Love when you are having a class discussion about resources available/unavailable on campus and what can be improved, spitballing ideas to make them more useful and accessible and then of course someone inevitably brings up campus email lists because that is the primary way the school tells students about things that are happening and multiple people are like "not a great idea. i never look at my email"

maybe you should be checking your email then

they give you an email address and 5 thousand different links to access it. it's the most convenient thing in the world. the app costs nothing to have on your phone too. some of the stuff we're literally talking about is emailed to you so you know it exists and often has links to the thing so you can conveniently go to it and y'all are acting like its worthless because you can't be bothered to glance at a notification on your phone. Or go to one of the many public computers on campus to skim your inbox once a week or even month.

on one hand, once you let go of cringe an really delve into all the parallels, hints, foreshadowing, symbolism yada yada in kh its really fun and engaging to try and find as much as possible, hell you combine knowledge a and knowledge b and get...knowledge c! i swear some of these meta posts will make you shit your pants

He just freezes. Can batman do that? Is he legally allowed to do that? Wait what does Batman mean by grounded?!!? Whats his move here.

“Everyone in the batmobile we will discuss this more in the morning”

So they r having the ride home and everyone is sulking and Danny is just there confused but doesn’t say anything because hes probably tired and it’s batman wtf you gonna do.

So they are at the cave and Danny finally just “so can I call my family to tell them I wont be home tonight?”

You everyone just stops. And slowly turns to face him. “Ah yea dumb question. I guess uhhh no phones huh?” No one moves. Everyone is pretty shocked. Cause one bruce kidnapped some kid. Two theres a civi in the batcave. Three bruce kidnapped some fucking kid. Four some random kid just got in the car with them. Five holy fuck bruce kidnapped some kid.
