When i saw the GQ China heatstroke pics i ran to order my apple pencil, crammed all the digital painting tutorials, and locked myself in my room to do the deeds.

This game singlehandedly ignited my will to learn writing and painting again. Their story was hella traumatic that I AM COMMITTED TO GAVE THEM A BETTER FUTURE IN MY HEAD. Mafia II had such a huge impact on me, and I was in it pretty late, I don’t play video games at all, I only watched people playing them, and I was immediately hooked by them.

Spent my days and nights reading all the lore, watching all the walkthroughs, all the easter eggs, all cutscenes and stuff, I even purchased the game but I didn’t play it bcs my laptop would explode lol I was aiming for the artbook (lowkey kinda a letdown compared to the game they made😔)

They did such an amazing job creating the characters and how they built their relationship with us players, the story was such a rollercoaster sometimes I wished they gave them longer time to enjoy their success lmaooo. I do wished they would gave more to us bcs there are some stories that still left unclear. But from what they have done, it was such a masterpiece.

I really really love Mafia II, no joke I was feeling lost for a couple months, and this game helped me to distract my mind and started being productive again, and I’m forever grateful for it.

Then, the fandom themselves, was such a nice place to play around. I never been “joined” a fandom, and my experience here had been really amazing. I really enjoyed my time seeing, watching, reading all the posts that you guys have made. Special shoutout to @mafiamemesandedits she’s such a nice person to begin with, she followed me who was literally a NOBODY (my tumblr has been deactivated for yeaars, I revived just few months ago) and she interacted with me, being really kind and chill, and it made me feel.. welcomed. As a person with social anxiety, I’m really grateful with how people were interacting with me so far, and I’m really happy with the atmosphere in this fandom.
