zb1’s skincare routines
shanbin and zhang hao
THE husbands!!
i feel like they would have both had pretty intricate skincare routines and then exchanged stuff until at some point they just straight up share the same products
they definitely do the basics, cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen
we know that shanbin also has those vitamins that he takes so i also see him taking collagen and vitamin c supplements
also some extras like retinol, serums, essence, oil cleansers, aha, bha, the list goes on
i think individually they know a lot about skincare and have perfected their routines and together they are just unstoppable
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also feel like they use sulwhasoo or beauty of joseon
my guess would be
oil cleanser
water based cleanser
chemical exfoliator (occasionally!)
toner
essence
serums (at night!)
sheet mask (at night!)
eye cream
moisturizer
sunscreen (in the morning!)
and supplements
seok matthew
i actually have no idea with him
he definitely doesn’t seem as invested as haobin
his older sister gives me major skincare vibes though (she’s so cool can she adopt me i’m canadian too)
i think he mostly just picks stuff up from her
i can see him getting a lot of the stuff that trends on tiktok
Tumblr media Tumblr media
like the snail mucin essence and sunscreen sticks
i feel like his skincare would be pretty light and gentle
an overall solid routine but he probably doesn’t know the details
my guess would be
makeup remover/micellular water
water based cleanser
pimple patch
toner
essence
moisturizer
sunscreen stick
ricky
ofc mr young and rich, tall and handsome probably has his own dermatologist who does weekly checkups and treatments
Tumblr media
probably has custom made skincare if he even needs it at this point
can he pls share of that with the other boys because some of them really need it…(we’ll get to them later)
my guess would be
$$$$$$
gunwook
oh boy
this is when things start going downhill
honestly i think he has a very basic but clean routine
probably doesn’t bother with any treatments or serums
i don’t see him doing anything that wouldn’t be daily so probably no exfoliating for him either
i feel like he would stick to one brand too just to make things simpler
Tumblr media
i’m thinking round lab
he’s probably done some research and it’s a very popular brand in korea
i can see him doing sheet masks too but more in a dog union sleepover animal face mask kind of way
pls why am i lowkey roasting him (T ^ T) in the 0% chance he reads this i’m sorry gunwook ily but you just don’t have that vibe pls tell me if i’m wrong though
my guess would be
foam cleanser (idk why gunwook feels very foam coded to me)
pimple patch
toner
moisturizer
sunscreen
taerae
they don’t call him fashion taeraerist for nothing
i don’t think his skincare routine would be any better tbh
like i simply cannot imagine anything except for hand soap or the all-in-one soap and both options scare me
i feel like as a trainee and then an idol his routine has got to be better though
i hope he got forced to use actual products
probably ended up with drugstore stuff (T ^ T)
so um my optimistic? guess is
cleanser
toner (maybe)
moisturizer
sunscreen (maybe)
gyuvin
same situation as taerae and gunwook but worse somehow
once again!!!!! i’m getting soap vibes from him
boy probably didn’t bring any skincare because we saw what his suitcase looked like
i’m not convinced he even uses skincare at this point (if that is the case i’m so jealous because how do i make my skin look like his)
either that or it’s super chaotic like the most illogical combination you’ve ever seen like only exfoliator and night cream
seems like the type to use skincare when there’s a problem if he even notices that there is a problem
alternatively there is this olay retinol spf moisturizer (my head hurts trying to think of the logistics of this) that i can see him using as his one and only skincare product
Tumblr media
jiwoong
finally breaking the curse
jiwoong gives me major vegan good for the environment vibes
i mean he doesn’t even eat snacks so
i feel like he’d like the dr. ceuracle vegan kombucha stuff
Tumblr media
also because he 100% drinks kombucha you can’t change my mind
i think his skincare routine is simple but well thought out! like haobin, he’s tried a lot of stuff out and has narrowed it down to the essentials
also probably uses de-aging stuff so he can be an immortal vampire
i can see him using those led face masks once in a while too
Tumblr media
it probably freaked the other boys out so much the first time they saw it LMAO
he probably also has the most lifestyle habits to help his skin
like changing his pillowcases frequently, using conditioner that won’t cause acne, staying hydrated, avoiding oily food, etc
he legit is what i aspire to be if i had the same willpower that he does
my guess would be
micellular water
gel cleanser (idk he feels gel coded to me)
toner
essence
serum sheet mask
eye cream
moisturizer
slugging (at night)
sunscreen
yujin
our wildcard yujin!!
i literally have no idea i’m so sorry
i feel like he would pick up skincare either from his mom or maybe one of the stylists from yuehua or boys planet?
would probably just take recommendations from people around him
Tumblr media
i’m feeling innisfree for him? might be because he sort of reminds me of wonyoung and ofc who can forget the iconic plump, glowing, hydration boost
my guess would be
water based cleanser
toner
essence
moisturizer
sunscreen
if you’ve made it this far, tysm for reading my random rambling! this is based off of no information except what i know about korean skincare and also what i thought the boys would be like based on their personalities. i couldn’t find bare faced photos for everybody or info on their actual routines but i’d love to find out! so if you know anything about that pls lmk!!

Unlock Radiant Skin: The Best Cream for Face Glow
Achieving glowing, radiant skin is a goal for many, but it requires using the right products tailored to your skin’s unique needs. While many skincare products promise to deliver a bright, healthy complexion, finding the best cream for face glow can be a game-changer in your routine. In this blog, we’ll dive into some of the most effective creams to help you achieve that luminous, radiant look.
Why a Glowing Complexion Matters
Glowing skin is not just about appearance; it reflects healthy, well-hydrated, and balanced skin. Dull skin, on the other hand, can be a sign of stress, dehydration, or inadequate skincare. The best cream for face glow is designed to address these issues, providing your skin with the nutrients and hydration it needs to look vibrant and fresh.
Key Ingredients in the Best Cream for Face Glow
When searching for the best cream for face glow, it’s essential to look for specific ingredients that promote radiance. Here are some must-haves:
Vitamin C: Known for its brightening properties, Vitamin C helps reduce dark spots and evens out skin tone. It’s also a powerful antioxidant, protecting the skin from environmental damage.
Hyaluronic Acid: This ingredient is a superstar in providing deep hydration. It helps retain moisture in the skin, giving it a plump, dewy appearance, which is crucial for a glowing complexion.
Niacinamide: Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is another great brightening agent. It helps reduce dullness, smoothes skin texture, and minimizes pores for a more luminous glow.
Glycolic Acid: A gentle exfoliant, glycolic acid removes dead skin cells, revealing fresh, glowing skin underneath. It helps improve skin tone and texture, giving the complexion a smoother, more even finish.
Peptides: These proteins promote collagen production, keeping the skin firm and reducing the appearance of fine lines. A boost in collagen also enhances the skin’s natural radiance.
Top Picks for the Best Cream for Face Glow
To help you narrow down your choices, here are some of the top creams that consistently deliver glowing results:
Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream: This cream is packed with Vitamin C and niacinamide, working together to brighten dull skin and even out the complexion. It’s lightweight yet hydrating, making it suitable for all skin types.
L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Bright Reveal Brightening Day Moisturizer: A multitasking moisturizer with glycolic acid, Vitamin C, and Pro-Retinol, it exfoliates and brightens the skin while reducing fine lines and dark spots. It’s perfect for those looking to add a touch of glow and anti-aging benefits to their routine.
Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator: With its hyaluronic acid-rich formula, this cream provides intense hydration, giving your skin a healthy, dewy glow. It’s perfect for dry and dehydrated skin types that need extra moisture to achieve a radiant look.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel: Another hyaluronic acid-packed product, this gel-based cream locks in moisture without feeling greasy. It’s a great option for those with oily skin looking for the best cream for face glow without clogging pores.
The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer: Infused with Vitamin C, this lightweight gel cream brightens the skin, helping to reduce dullness and improve the overall glow. It’s a favorite for those seeking a vibrant, radiant complexion.
How to Use the Best Cream for Face Glow
Incorporating the best cream for face glow into your skincare routine is simple, but there are a few tips to maximize its benefits:
Cleanse Your Skin: Start with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and impurities from your skin, ensuring the cream can penetrate more effectively.
Apply Serum (Optional): If you use a serum, apply it after cleansing but before your cream. A Vitamin C serum can boost the brightening effects of your cream.
Moisturize with the Best Cream for Face Glow: Take a small amount of the cream and massage it gently into your skin using upward, circular motions. Don’t forget to apply it to your neck as well.
Use Sunscreen: If your cream is part of your morning routine, always follow it with sunscreen to protect your skin from UV damage, which can dull your complexion over time.
Consistency is Key: For the best results, use your cream daily. It may take a few weeks to see noticeable improvements, but persistence pays off when it comes to glowing skin.
Conclusion
Finding the best cream for face glow is the key to unlocking your skin’s natural radiance. By choosing a cream with powerful brightening ingredients like Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, you can effectively boost hydration, smooth texture, and brighten your complexion. Whether you’re battling dryness, dullness, or simply want a more radiant look, investing in the right face cream will help you achieve a glowing, healthy appearance.

The Ultimate Retinol Cream Buyer's Guide: Finding the Perfect Formula in Qatar
Retinol cream has become a staple in skincare routines worldwide, including in Qatar, thanks to its remarkable benefits for the skin. From reducing fine lines and wrinkles to improving overall skin texture and treating acne, retinol cream in Qatar has gained popularity among individuals looking to achieve a youthful and radiant complexion.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Benefits of Retinol Cream
Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles
One of the most acclaimed benefits of retinol cream is its ability to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Retinol, a derivative of vitamin A, works by stimulating collagen production, which helps to plump the skin and reduce the depth of wrinkles over time.
Improvement in Skin Texture
Regular use of retinol cream can lead to smoother, more even-toned skin. It aids in exfoliating the outer layer of the skin, promoting cell turnover, and revealing fresher, younger-looking skin underneath.
Treatment of Acne
Retinol cream is also effective in treating acne, making it a valuable addition to the skincare routine of individuals struggling with breakouts. It helps to unclog pores, reduce inflammation, and regulate oil production, resulting in clearer, acne-free skin.
Enhancement of Skin Brightness
By promoting cell turnover and exfoliation, retinol cream can help fade dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and other forms of discoloration, leaving the skin looking brighter and more radiant.
Factors to Consider while Choosing a Retinol Cream
Concentration of Retinol
The efficacy of retinol cream largely depends on the concentration of retinol it contains. Higher concentrations are more potent but may also cause more irritation, especially for those with sensitive skin.
Additional Ingredients
Look for retinol creams that contain complementary ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and moisturizers to enhance their effectiveness and minimize potential side effects.
Formulation Type
Retinol creams are available in various formulations, including serums, creams, and gels. Choose a formulation that suits your skin type and preferences.
Skin Sensitivity
Individuals with sensitive skin may need to start with a lower concentration of retinol and gradually increase it to minimize irritation. It's essential to listen to your skin and adjust your routine accordingly.
Popular Retinol Cream Brands Available in Qatar
Brand A: Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Cream
Description of products offered: Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Cream is a well-known option in the skincare market. It contains a unique combination of retinol SA, glucose complex, and hyaluronic acid, designed to visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles in just one week.
Key features and benefits:
Accelerated Retinol SA helps to smooth wrinkles and diminish the appearance of age spots.
The glucose complex boosts the skin's surface activity for rapid results.
Hyaluronic acid adds moisture, plumping up the skin for a youthful complexion.
Its lightweight and non-greasy nature make it suited for all skin types, especially sensitive skin.
Brand B: La Roche-Posay Redermic R Anti-Aging Retinol Cream
Description of products offered: La Roche-Posay Redermic R Anti-Aging Retinol Cream is a dermatologist-tested formula enriched with pure retinol and a gradual-release retinol booster. It aims to visibly reduce wrinkles, even skin tone, and refine skin texture.
Key features and benefits:
Pure retinol promotes cell turnover, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
A gradual-release retinol booster ensures optimal efficacy with minimal irritation.
Lipo-Hydroxy Acid (LHA) provides gentle exfoliation, revealing smoother and brighter skin.
Suitable for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic, and paraben-free.
Brand C: Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Moisturizer
Description of products offered: Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Moisturizer is a potent yet gentle formula infused with vitamin B3 and the retinol complex. It works continuously throughout the night to deliver visible improvements in fine lines, wrinkles, and overall skin texture.
Key features and benefits:
Retinol complex penetrates deep into the skin's surface to regenerate cells and reduce signs of aging.
Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) boosts skin resilience and strengthens the skin barrier.
Non-comedogenic and fragrance-free formula suitable for nightly use.
Provides 24-hour hydration, leaving the skin feeling soft, smooth, and nourished.
These brands offer a variety of options for individuals seeking the benefits of retinol cream in Qatar, catering to different skin types and concerns. It's essential to choose a product that aligns with your skincare needs and preferences, considering factors such as concentration, additional ingredients, and formulation type.
How to Use Retinol Cream Effectively
Patch Test
Before applying retinol cream to your entire face, perform a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any adverse reactions or sensitivity.
Gradual Introduction
Start by using retinol cream a few times a week, and gradually increase the frequency as your skin adjusts to it. This approach helps minimize irritation and allows your skin to acclimate to the product.
Frequency of Use
The frequency of retinol cream application varies depending on individual tolerance and skin sensitivity. Some may be able to use it every night, while others may need to use it less frequently to avoid irritation.
Sun Protection
Because retinol can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight, it's crucial to apply sunscreen daily, even on cloudy days, to protect your skin from UV damage and prevent further skin issues.
Potential Side Effects of Retinol Cream
Dryness and Irritation
Common side effects of retinol cream include dryness, redness, and irritation, especially during the initial stages of use. These symptoms usually subside as the skin adjusts to the product.
Increased Sensitivity to Sunlight
Retinol can make the skin more susceptible to sunburn and UV damage. It's essential to wear sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors to minimize the risk of sun-related side effects.
Redness and Peeling
In some cases, retinol cream may cause redness, peeling, or flakiness, particularly if used in high concentrations or too frequently. Adjusting the usage frequency or concentration can help alleviate these side effects.
Conclusion
Retinol cream offers a myriad of benefits for the skincare, including reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture, treating acne, and enhancing skin brightness. When choosing a retinol cream, consider factors such as the concentration of retinol, additional ingredients, formulation type, and your skin sensitivity. By using retinol cream effectively and being aware of potential side effects, you can achieve smoother, healthier-looking skin.

How to Use Caffeine Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Fine Lines
Tumblr media
If you're looking for a natural and effective way to reduce dark circles and fine lines around your eyes, then caffeine eye cream might be the answer. Caffeine has been used for centuries for its stimulating properties, but it's only in recent years that its benefits in skincare have been discovered. In this article, we'll discuss how to use caffeine eye cream for dark circles and fine lines and recommend some of the best under eye creams with caffeine.
Why Use Caffeine Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Fine Lines?
Caffeine eye cream is a popular option for those looking to reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines. It works by stimulating blood flow and improving circulation, which can help reduce the appearance of dark circles. Additionally, caffeine has antioxidant properties, which can help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
How to Use Caffeine Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Fine Lines?
Cleanse your face: Before applying any skincare products, it's important to cleanse your face thoroughly. This will remove any dirt, oil, or makeup that might be clogging your pores and preventing the caffeine eye cream from absorbing properly.
Apply the cream: Take a small amount of caffeine eye cream on your ring finger and gently dab it under your eyes. Be careful not to tug or pull at the delicate skin around your eyes.
Massage gently: Using your ring finger, massage the cream gently into your skin in circular motions. This will help improve circulation and ensure that the caffeine is properly absorbed.
Use daily: For best results, use caffeine eye cream daily, preferably in the morning and at night before bed.

Anti-aging Beauty Routine for Women in Their 20’s
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To preserve our beauty, we must take care of our skin as early as possible. I probably leave the house under five times a year without sunscreen because I’m that serious about becoming a MILF. I’ve compiled a list (collected from google searches and personal experience) of what I believe are necessary beauty products to help one age gracefully.
To maintain our beauty: consistency is key! That is why it is essential to develop a routine. Some products are better for the day, while others work overnight. Here’s the regime I found to work best daily and nightly:
Toner preps skin for serums
Toner preps skin for serums
Eye cream- no crow's feet over here! I have a subscription this one on Amazon
Vitamin C serum helps with dark spots and protects from the sun
Moisturizer skin is like leather – it always needs moisture!
Sunscreen is a no-brainer – I often switch up my SPF, but this is the current one i'm using!
Vegan Collegen~ The most effective way to use collagen is by eating it! Add it to your water, meals, smoothies! Normally, collagen is derived from animal products. I'm aware not everyone eats meat. (including myself) So, I've included a plant-based alternative that is my current fave!

PM Routine
Olay Retinol Body Wash~ Jackie aina put me on!! Haven't used another body wash since.
Cleanser
Toner
Eye cream
Retinol is key to youthful skin
Hyaluronic acid helps skin retain moisture

Occasional treatments to keep in your skin care Cabinet

@melatovnik ok here we go finally! first: my thoughts on body wash and moisturizer!
1) body wash: there are probably some really high end body washes out there that feel lovely but this is one step where i have not been convinced that i need anything more than a basic drug-store brand moisturizing wash a la olay ultra hydrating shea butter, dove something or other, cerave something or other, aveeno, etc. there's lots of brands with nice cheap hydrating gentle formulas, i don't think it matters a ton, just as long as it's not that suave garbage UGH it's so harsh if i'm ever staying somewhere that only has that i just skip body wash altogether, i've been burned too many times. medicated washes are a different story (which will be a different post) but otherwise it just goes down the drain! as long as what you got works fine and doesn't ravage your skin, spend the money elsewhere.
IF i wanted to upgrade, i have my eye on the skinfix eczema+ foaming oil body wash, which is $24 for just 12.5 oz, which, again, silly for something i'm going to immediately wash off! but i have a sample of the facewash that i just tried and it was very nice and i like their other products, so there you go.
2) moisturizer: that cerave cream... yes. probably the best bang for your buck out there, nice feel and absolute cheapest price per oz. the aveeno eczema therapy is awesome too, loaded with panthenol which is super soothing, though not an emollient. IF you wanted to upgrade, if those weren't cutting it for you and you were still dry/scaly/flaky and wanted more liquid oil emollient content (me lately), these are my thoughts rn:
a) slight upgrade option: la roche-posay lipikar balm ap+. decent size 400 mL pump bottle for $20 at target, kind of ointmenty smell and greasy feel putting it on, but you've got sunflower seed oil and shea butter pretty high up the ingredient list, but still at a really good price point. the petrolatum and mineral oil will really grease you up if you use a lot but you really don't need to, and they're both great occlusives anyway. plus it has niacinamide. i'm generally a fan.
b) serious upgrade option: skinfix eczema+ line. i have an old tube of the hand repair cream i really like, i was just using the remedy+ 911 ointment on my scaly dry legs bc it was all i had (which worked instantly), and i've just ordered a new hand cream and the body cream to see how they work for my current scaly lizard body. a definite step up in price per oz (i just spent $18 and $34 for those two products) but the ingredients are great, basically all various natural oils right from the top of the list, so you should definitely be getting more/longer relief than from your cheapy water/glycerin/cetearyl alcohol lotion formulas.
c) mad scientist: if you really want something more emollient-y than what you're using, cheaper than b and probably more pleasant than a, here is what i would try. take your cerave cream. now go find a bottle of pure squalane oil. the ordinary has one for like $7, timeless has one for $10, other places sell it for more. it's a little couple-ounce bottle with a dropper. squalane is a stabilized version of an oil that everyone already makes in their skin, and because it's stabilized it shouldn't break you out. just squirt your lotion in your hand, and add a drop of squalane oil, mix, and apply. you can play around with how much or how little you like, try putting squalane directly on without the lotion, or ditch it if you hate it (and you still have the original lotion you already knew you liked!). i kind of like just putting the squalane directly on my face at night tbh, just lube me right up.
d) if we're talking just face moisturizer, and you already know you like the cerave cream, the cerave pm facial moisturizing lotion is SO good. basically the same formula as the cerave cream with the addition of niacinamide, which is a b vitamin with extremely strong evidence for doing many things for your skin including regulating oil production, boosting collagen, evening pigment, etc etc. it's basically the first active ingredient i would recommend to anyone because it has so many benefits and there's basically no downside.
you can doctor up a combination of regular cerave cream plus a basic $5 niacinamide serum for cheaper if you really wanted, or the cerave pm is like $15 for a bottle. cerave pm is a lot of people's first rec on the road to upping your skincare game bc it works so well for so many people, it's hard to go wrong

Hey I've been following your blog for awhile and I know we're both in our late 20's. I only unfortunately recently started getting into skincare and actually wearing SPF so my skin has suffered :( Are there any skincare products to fight aging that you swear by? You have such lovely skin. Like..It's perfect. I use Aveeno SPF 30 lotion, vitamin C serum, retinol, and Cetaphil moisturizer at night. What else do you suggest, if anything? Unless you're just blessed.
First of all, thank you, that's so nice! I will say that my skin probably isn't as good as you're imagining, because when you see me I'm almost always in front of a window or a ring light and because I color filter my videos for aesthetic consistency. That said, I am into skincare and I'm totally happy to give some advice.
In general, the first thing I would say is to know your skin type and identify your skin concerns. If your skin is dry (like mine), you'll need different products from someone who's skin is oily. If your skin is sensitive, there will be products that people swear by that won't work for you. If you're looking to prevent wrinkles or treat acne, there are specific ingredients to look for in your skincare products.
Once you know your skin type, you can put together a skincare routine with your particular concerns in mind. Generally, you want a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen to start with. The cleanser and moisturizer you can use in the morning and at night (unless you have dry skin, in which case, only use it at night), and sunscreen just in the morning.
SPF is the most important product for anti-aging, since a lot of visible aging is due to UV damage. Retinoids (retinol, adapalene, tretinoin) are the other ingredient family that have a lot of research backing them as anti-aging products. You have to use them consistently for 3-6 months before you'll see results. If you're going to use retinoids, sunscreen becomes doubly important because they increase your sensitivity to sun. Vitamin C has less evidence to support it as an anti-aging skincare product, but if it works for you, there's no harm in using it.
In terms of specific products, here are some things to look for and products that people typically like. If you love the products you're already using and they work for you, I wouldn't make any changes.
Cleansers:
Basically for cleansers, you're just looking for something that takes off all of the product or buildup on your face, and that doesn't make your skin feel irritated, tight, dry, or ‘squeaky clean'.
Cleansers that people typically like include: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVe Foaming Cleanser, Bioderma Micellar Water, e.l.f Holy hydration! Makeup melting cleansing balm, Simple Micellar Water.
Sunscreens:
Look for a sunscreen that is SPF 30+ for UVB. There are a few different ways of measuring UVA protection, but generally you want something that's labeled PPD 8+ or PA+++, PPD of 8, UVA Seal, or a Boots star rating of at least 3. If you're in the US, products labeled "broad spectrum" provide some UVA protection, but it doesn't tell you how much protection you're getting.
If you're lazy (like me), you can find a sunscreen that's also a moisturizer. Make sure that you put a lot of product on, because if you don't use enough sunscreen, you won't get the benefits.
Sunscreens that people typically like include: Nivea Sun Protect Super Water Gel, Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence, Neutrogena Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid Lotion Sunscreen, Etude House Sunprise Mild Watery Light, and Eucerin Sun Fluid Sensitive Protect.
Good sunscreens that double as moisturizers include: CeraVe Ultra Light Moisturizer, Cetaphil PRO Oil Absorbing Moisturizer, Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Moisturizer, Olay Complete Defence Daily UV Moisturising Lotion, and CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion AM.
Moisturizers:
Look for products with occlusives, which seal in water, humectants, which attract water to the skin, and emollients, which smooth rough skin and make it flexible and soft.
Moisturizers people typically like are: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel, CosRx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream, CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM, Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Bioderma Sensibio Light, and the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.
Retinoids:
Start by using a retinoid 1-2 times a week. You can increase it gradually if your skin tolerates it well, but you don't necessarily need to use it every day. Typically, retinol is a good place to start, since it's gentler than other retinoid options.
Retinols that people typically like include: Superfacialist Anti-Aging Serum (0.01%), Paula’s Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair Serum (0.1%), Paula’s Choice Resist Skin Smoothing Body Treatment (0.1%), Alpha Skincare Deep Wrinkle Repair (0.15%), SkinPrep 0.5% Retinol (0.5%), The Ordinary 0.2% Retinol, 0.5% Retinol, & 1% Retinol.
Last but not least, here are the products that I use. Like I said before, my skin is dry, and it's prone to redness if I'm not hydrating it frequently enough.
Cleanser: Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
Moisturizer: CosRx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream
SPF: CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen
I'm planning on switching out my sunscreen to the No Megumi Morning UV Protection Cream, which has higher protection (SPF 50 + / PA ++++). It's supposed to be a 5-in-1 anti-aging cream that replaces toner, serum, cream, hydrating mask, sunscreen and makeup primer, and that has 50 types of moisturizing ingredients for dry skin. I have absolutely no idea if it actually does any of those things, but I've heard great things about it as a product, so I'm excited to try it out.

Face wash dry skin
No matter how dry your skin, gentle cleansing at night is essential. Makeup, sunscreen, bacteria, dead skin cells, dirt, and oil build up on your face during the day.Wash gently without scrubbing to avoid irritating your skin. There's no need to wash again in the morning.
How to choose the best face wash for dry, sensitive skin
Go creamy: Many people switch to a gel cleanser in the summer months to help control oil and shine in the humidity. But a creamy face wash is more beneficial if have dry skin, says Dr. Alster. Look for labels that say “creamy” or “lotion,” appear white out of the bottle, or feel like a moisturizer when applied.
Avoid fragrances: It’s especially important to choose unscented products, as fragrances can spur irritation, says Dr. Hooper. Look for unscented or fragrance-free on the label. Sensitive skin products are another good go-to.
Look for moisturizing ingredients: Hyaluronic acid is a top-notch moisturizer because it attracts water to skin, says Dr. Alster. Glycerin and ceramides also deliver an extra boost of moisture, while aloe vera and soy can feel soothing.
Watch the anti-agers: Ingredients like glycolic or lactic acids may help fight the signs of aging (and keep pesky blackheads at bay), but they will strip dry skin of the oil it needs. Keep these ingredients out of your face wash.
Once you find a face wash you like, be sure to cleanse only once a day before bed if you’re feeling extra dry, says Dr. Hooper. (You can supplement with a micellar water or hydrating toner in the morning.) Immediately after when skin is still damp, lock in hydration with a good moisturizer for sensitive skin, she says.
Now that you know what to look for, you can revamp your routine. Here, the best face washes you can try if you have dry, sensitive skin.
Tumblr media
Hydrating & Affordable Drugstore Face Washes For Dry Skin :
1. Cerave Hydrating Facial Cleanser :
This drugstore cleanser for dry skin is popular for a good reason. And it’s also Dr. Pimple Popper-approved. First of all, it contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Ceramides are common ingredients found in skincare products for dry skin. They restore the skin barrier to prevent moisture loss.
Hyaluronic acid takes it one step further and boosts up moisture. The cleanser has a non-foaming, creamy liquid texture. It’s a simple but effective face wash to remove your makeup and thoroughly clean your face. It’s also fragrance-free and perfectly suitable for sensitive skin.
2. Pixi PinkSalt Cleansing Oil :
Oil cleansers are the ultimate cleansers for dry and flaky skin. The reason is that they’re as nourishing as it gets. This one provides super-easy makeup removal and daily facial cleansing. It dissolves any dirt and grime on the skin and separates your makeup. With several skin-caring plant extracts, it also restores the skin from daily pollution.
3. Pond’s Cold Cream Cleansing Balm :
When you have dry skin, daily cleansing becomes a skin-stripping session that leaves your face tight and uncomfortable. You need something that gently removes your makeup while nourishing your skin. That way, you don’t need to worry about a tight and dehydrated bare face.
Pond’s Cleansing Balm contains mineral oils to recondition your skin. The balm texture melts into the skin easily. It breaks up makeup quickly, leaving your face soft and hydrated. And it’s super budget-friendly!
4. Olay Regenerating Cream Cleanser :
Exfoliation is essential, even for dry skin. It helps remove dead skin cells on the face, which makes your face look dull. Exfoliating, in general, is drying for all skin types. But for dry skin, it may even be irritating. That’s why people with dry skin need to be extra cautious when it comes to exfoliating cleansers.
Olay’s Regenerating Cleanser contains salicylic acid to gently exfoliate dry to normal skin. To make up for potential moisture loss, it contains hydrating ingredients as well as vitamins C, E, and B5. It makes sure your skin recovers from any potential irritation or dehydration.
5. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gentle Cleansing Lotion :
When it comes to facial cleansers, creamy ones are among the best ones for dry skin. They contain moisturizing ingredients. They leave a silky feel on the skin like a layer of moisture. This one is the lotion version of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser.
It’s a hypoallergenic face wash that supports the skin barrier to avoid dryness and irritation. The lotion form doesn’t dry out the skin. On the contrary, it’s super hydrating, making it perfect for dry and sensitive skin.
6. Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Rose Water Cleanser :
We’ve mentioned how drying exfoliators can be, especially for dry skin. But sadly, when you’re dealing with acne, you need something more concentrated and targeted in your face wash. This one has willow bark extract, which is a natural source of anti-inflammatory salicylic acid, to clean out pores and prevent acne formation.
It’s one of the best drugstore face washes for dry and acne-prone skin. It cleans the face but doesn’t disrupt the skin barrier. Because it has calming rosewater and vitamin B5 to soothe and hydrate. While clearing your face from any acne-causing bacteria, this face wash hydrates and moisturizes your skin.
7. Aveeno Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser :
This soap-free, fragrance-free face wash is suitable for dry and sensitive skin that’s prone to redness. It has amazing soothing and calming benefits thanks to oat and feverfew plant extract. This magic plant is a potent antioxidant that reduces redness on the skin.
It gently cleanses and nourishes your face without irritating it. The creamy cleanser does not foam. And it gently picks up dirt on highly sensitive, reactive skin without irritation whatsoever, leaving the skin replenished and hydrated.
8. La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser :
Dry skin has trouble retaining moisture. And something as important as daily cleansing inevitably contributes to this process. By using a cream cleanser, you can minimize moisture loss. Hydrating Gentle Facial Cleanser is a creamy cleanser perfect for getting rid of makeup and day’s dirt.
9. Vichy Purete Thermale Mineral Micellar Water :
Micellar cleansers are quick, gentle, and nourishing cleansers that usually don’t require rinsing off. Micellar water has tiny oil molecules that pull other oils and dirt on the face. If you prefer to clean your face using cotton pads, you can get a super light cleansing with this one.
The cleanser contains mineral-rich thermal water. And it has vitamin B5, which hydrates and soothes the skin. Also, if you’re a double cleanser, you can use this to gently remove your makeup including eye makeup, and then use your second cleanser.
10. The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash :
Besides making makeup removal easy, this cream cleanser nourishes your skin while purifying it. Thanks to vitamin E, your skin is charged with antioxidants. It also calms the skin and supports the skin barrier.
And with the help of soybean oil, shea butter, and wheat germ oil, you don’t need to worry about moisture loss. It feels like a cleanser and a moisturizer. And it’s one of the best drugstore face washes for dry skin.
