She is imperfect, optimistic, loyal, badass but most of all she is a survivor. . Inej also happens to be one of the first "brown" characters I came across in YA and this really struck a chord with me. How great to see a character I can relate to written with as much love and depth as Ms Ghafa. And for this I'll be eternally grateful to @lbardugo 💗 . It's the January @fairyloot unboxed!!! 😍😍😍 I don’t even know where to start with this. I guess the BOOK is as good a starting point as any 😊 Pictures do not do this cover justice. AT ALL. It is stunning. The print, bookmark, and necklace are also gorgeous. The whole thing is absolutely swoon-worthy. The candle is very interesting- a combination of cocoa, berries, & musk -I believe @stephanie_garber herself got to name it which is very cool! 😁 And I can't forget the Night Circus pillow case!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! A NIGHT CIRCUS PILLOWCASE!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!. 💥. Okay, okay, I'm calm. I'm good. I swear I will stop accosting you in all caps but IT IS A NIGHT CIRCUS PILLOW YOU GUYS - oh, sorry, lost my cool again. This is what happens when you subscribe to @fairyloot - the boxes delight your senses and surprise you with awesomeness at every turn. And the January box might just be my favorite one yet. 💥. First, we've got Caraval by @stephanie_garber, which you know I loved. And it's a UK edition, which is gorgeous. I got the dress as my secret cover, and I think that's actually my favorite, with the watch following close behind. Then, we got a SECOND BOOK - How to Think Like Sherlock Holmes which has been on my "buy one day" list for forever and I can now finally put on my TBR. I got the Hedwig mini Funko (each box had either a GoT or HP mini mystery Funko). There was a rose necklace with a Caraval ticket attached from @ohpandaeyes, a 'Come Back Yesterday' scented candle from the talented @merakicandles, an Alice in Wonderland bookmark designed by @aenteereads, and a Passenger mini notebook. And DID I MENTION ALREADY THE SUPERB SUBLIME SUPREME NIGHT CIRCUS PILLOWCASE designed by @risarodil?!?!. Oh, I did? Well, it's my favorite #fairyloot item of all time. 💥. This box was 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Can we just take a minute to talk about how amazing the January @fairyloot was?? The theme was Mystery and Mischief and the book was Caraval by @stephanie_garber which is one of my most anticipated reads of 2017 in the gorgeous UK edition. My personal favorite item was the "Come Back Yesterday" candle by @merakicandles. It smells amazing and is such a great addition to my growing collection. The Night Circus pillow by @risarodil is so amazing, and it's the first time over ever received a pillow case in a subscription box, so that's pretty cool. The rose necklace designed by @ohpandaeyes is gorgeous and I've already worn it. There was a chance of receiving either a GoT of a Harry Potter funko pop mini and I got a GoT one. My mini pop was Tyrion Lannister which I ended up giving to my dad because he has an unhealthy obsession with all things Game of Thrones (he also took my GoT coasters I received in a past Owlcrate). There was a second book in this box, How to Think Like Sherlock Holmes by Daniel Smith. It looks like a fun book filled with puzzles that I can't wait to do on a rainy day. @aenteereads designed an exclusive Alice in Wonderland bookmark for this box, and I with y'all could feel it because it's double printed with extremely thick paper and it feels incredible. Last, but not least, there was a Passenger/Wayfair mini journal that I'm planning on using to write out my tbr. Overall My expectations for Fairyloot have been blow! This is my first ever Fairyloot box, and it did not disappoint in any way. The only downside to Fairyloot is that it's more expensive because I have to ship it from the UK, but I think it's totally worth it if I really love the theme. Question of the day: Owlcratw or Fairyloot? I used to be a hardcore Owlcrate fan, but now I'm conflicted because this Fairyloot box has been so amazing. I think I'm team both.
