Your post about Johnny liking post-hardcore intrigued me. Are you also a fan of post-hardcore? I feel it's an underrated genre. Who are some of your fave bands in the genre?

omg!! no not awkward AT ALL please you're talking to me about my two favorite things here!!

i'm a HUGE fan of post hardcore and totally agree it's a super underrated genre. i got into it in high school when a lot of those bands were really blowing up (thanks myspace!) and it's just always stuck with me. and a lot of my favorite bands in that genre (or adjacent!) are still making some great albums and i feel like they don't get nearly the amount of love they deserve.

dance gavin dance is probably my favorite post hardcore band* but i also love senses fail, a day to remember, pierce the veil, saosin, and thursday.

*unless you count brand new (some people do some people don't but they're my favorite band of all time and i think you could probably put every album from tdagarim -> science fiction in that category). same with bayside (they ride the line b/w post hardcore and pop-punk and do it SO WELL).

jo ? nope. she'd use me if i was usefull to her, and dismiss me - or worst - when i wouldn't be anymore

uuuuuh, its been a while since i've read a "real" book and im never interested in authors themselves. i'll say tamsyn muir since im reading locked tomb rn and its SO GOOD

i actually never wrote with someone else in the room? but i wrote in plublic - like in a park, but its not really a room, is it?

oh yup. im sensitive haha. tears in my eyes when i write sad stuff. which is... a lot

both? i usually have a plan, then go from it and i often go off and think of other stuff when i write.
