anon you probably didn't know but I nearly commited suicide over this character a short while ago and have recieved extremely violent and unpleasant hate mail from Smg4 fans for over 2 months (and yes that is still happening). so yeah please don't talk about this in my inbox or with me ever because I almost blocked you for this.

Iris was too lost in her thoughts. The poor young woman didn't have any friends at this college, outside of her brother, so she was normally seen alone. Even in class she sat in the most secluded place possible and just worked.

This was one of those times, while everyone else was having fun in between classes, Iris was going to study not socialise. She was thinking about her classes, upcoming exams, projects. There was a lot going on for her, and not just in this place... THUD! As she was thinking she walked straight into Moira and stumbled back, some of her books dropped to the ground also but she quickly picked those up before looking at the shorter girl. "Umm...it's fine, I guess. Sorry. I was not paying attention." Iris said as she knelt down to help the other. "Who are you...?"

when he assumes someone will be far better without him he tries to leave because in his brain in that moment that is the best decision

in his mind he is doing them a favor by taking someone like him out of the picture because his self esteem is stupidly low

is it healthy? no not at all

Is it actually what the other party involved wants? Also hell no

but is it in character for him?

yes in a situation where he felt him being around would cause actual issues he would try to leave and it would take action from the others involved to knock some sense into his self hating brain
