I know we're ignoring canon right now, but can. Can we just talk about Dabi's ending for a second? Because like. What the fuck? This guy's been suffering his entire life. From being abused by his father, to being kidnapped and experimented on while he's in a coma, just to escape and go home to find out his worst fears have come true, his family abandoned him, they never really cared. Then, he spends the next 8 years homeless, where he damages his body so much to the point he's being held together by staples? How painful was his daily life?? No wonder he wanted to die. His life was hell. And now, he spends his last days alive trapped in a fucking fish tank, in excruciating agony (you cannot tell me he isn't in any pain. He has no fucking skin left, along with his other injuries. Not to mention the emotional and psychological trauma once again inflicted on him). He doesn't get to choose whether or not he wants to keep living through this nightmare. He doesn't get to choose whether or not he wants Endeavor to visit him every day. No one asks him his opinion on any of this. They decide for him, and he doesn't have the strength left to protest. He can't move, can't talk, can't do anything. All he can do is sit there, watching on helplessly, with the knowledge that after his death, his family will once again leave him behind and forget all about him. He'll never see the League again, the only people in the world who actually loved him unconditionally and never saw him as a problem or a mistake. He has to die with the knowledge that he failed. His family won't ever truly see him as a person, and he never, not once in his life, got to be happy.
#is this stupid and incoherent? probably. im just so pissed.#the brutality of dabi's narrative is horrifying and uncomfortable#he never had a chance and the narrative blames him for it#even at the end he gets no relief. To be a Menace || SxF ficlet
Thank you @glacialdawn for this inspiring one. 😘 Love you babe! Also, thanks to @sister-cna-reader for sparking my love for this rare pair 💕
This is really short, so I'm just going to post it here for now. Maybe I'll put it on ao3 later. Maybe not. Who knows?!
Summary: in the wake of Your Spare Blade, Twilight has words with his Handler before being assigned a new mission.
Reporting on his most recent mission hadn't been too much of a hassle, minus the argument discussion about rushed assignments when little information was available. Fortunately, he and Yor had gotten out of the last one relatively unscathed, but there was no telling if that would be the case next time.
And while Handler had shared Twilight's frustration, she couldn't guarantee that rushed, inadequate assignments wouldn't happen in the future. Sudden changes happen and both he and his wife were well equipped to handle them when necessary.
It wasn't what he wanted to hear, but at least she had listened rather than brushing him off. (Had she ever brushed off his concerns? He couldn't recall a time when she hadn't taken what he said into consideration…)
The spy took a file, a new assignment, from his Handler and flipped it open just as a thought struck him. Born Industries stared back up at him from the first page and his eyes scanned over the details, committing it to memory while a thought swirled in the back of his mind.
Back in the early days of Strix, Bond had mysteriously shown up at Born Industries while he had been working to retrieve a possible truth serum. The whole mission could have been a disaster, with the lack of prior reconnaissance and short timetable, but the dog had made the whole ordeal so much easier.
Maybe…
“Could I bring Bond with me?” He inquired almost without thinking.
“No.” Sylvia answered, almost reflexively. There was a beat before, “May I ask why you are requesting he accompany you?”
Twilight didn't look up, keeping his eyes resolutely on the file, turning a page to pry further into the details. There was more to work with on this assignment, but just barely. “He was instrumental in helping me retrieve Gerrulimus, helping me navigate the building unseen.”
Sylvia's foot tapped the air for a moment, as if pondering it. “This infiltration should involve you disguising yourself as one of the specialists there, so having Bond there with you will most certainly draw more than necessary attention to you. It would be a risk.”
He can't help the quirk of his lip as he pointily looks at the dog at her feet. “Is that why Aaron is with you today?”
The shepherd perked at hearing his name, sitting up and looking at his mistress. The older spy lifted an eyebrow but placed a rewarding pat on her dog's head. “Matthew is watching him later. It's more convenient for him to come along rather than run back home and then to City Hall.”
The smile turns rapidly into a smirk. “Oh? So he's Matthew now?”
The stapler thrown in his direction was worth it. Fortunately, his reflexes had never been better, effectively dodging the attack. A short, amused laugh escaped his mouth as he dodged another object, skipping back as pens followed in his wake.
“Family life has made you incorrigible,” Sylvia hissed. “Get out of here! And make sure you complete this mission alone. Bond, Yor and especially Anya better not appear in your notes!”
Now there's an idea. The smile didn't quite leave his face as Twilight nodded, put his hat atop his head and began his retreat. Once arriving at the elevator he called back. “Tell Matthew hello for me and Yor looks forward to seeing him at the next family picnic!”
One last object flew past his ear as the door closed.

"I AM SORRY!" . . . "I don't forgive you."

!!NOT A SHIP!!

Izuku Midoriya had dealt with Bakugo for years. Ever since they were kids Bakugo would constantly degrade him for not having a supernatural ability like most of the world's population did. Or rather, like he did.
It was always something Midoriya thought about. He wondered if maybe he had a quirk or something that could maybe make him stand out or be able to become a natural born hero that he wouldn't be shamed for existing.
Unfortunately, neither were really an option. Continuing to think about what could be rather than what is causes him to spiral through madness almost. All those nights he's spent crying himself to sleep, all those nights... He would often catch himself tearing up at times even during his time at UA. Despite inheriting All Might's quirk and strong abilities, he always felt that deep down that they weren't his own. This was because of him.
While Izuku always called Bakugo his friend, even going as far as to give him a nickname, "Kacchan", he never actually felt like his friend. As much as he wants it to be true, you cannot change the past. Nor can you stop people from thinking the way they do. Or, at least, it's difficult to.
There had been a few times where Bakugo said something that was actually kind of nice towards Izuku but it never lasted long. It always seemed to end with Bakugo screaming at him about being an "extra" or a "wannabe", neither of which he was. Well... Izuku did want to be like All might, but he knew that he'd have a long way to go before that could happen.
Despite all of this, he kept in going. All he wanted to do was fulfill his dream; become a pro hero. He'd have to get through the work of finishing UA before he'd be able to decide whether or not he's good enough...at least, that's what he thought...
One warm yet breeze-filled evening, Izuku was outside doing some exercises. He did this fairly often, but considering the weather he'd figured it would be easier to get it done sooner rather than later. He closed his eyes and stretched before he would practice kicks and punches with One for All. He remembered to be mindful of his surroundings obviously, but still had the energy to try to put force into it.
His mind wandered as he did this, even if he didn't want to lose his focus. What if his training ended up being good for nothing? What would happen if something were to happen to him in a gruesome battle? He would become a failure to the one person he looked up to in life...
The grass nearby folded under the weight of the wind...or so he thought...
"Midoriya..."
Izuku knew that voice from anywhere. How could he not?
"Kacchan? I didn't realize you liked to train outside. Did you need something? I-I can get out of your way-!"
Bakugo stopped his ramblings by holding up a hand with a heavy sigh. "There's no need to do that. Jesus, Deku..."
There was a long pause, complete silence surrounded them. Well, silence paired with the sound of the wind blowing against the trees and grass.
"Oh...Okay, um...Did you...Why are you out here then? Did Aizawa Sensei send you to get me? I don't know what I did but I swear I will do whatever it is-" He got stopped again the same way he was the first time. However, Bakugo stepped forward. "Listen to me, Deku."
Izuku went quiet. This was a tone he'd never heard from Bakugo before, not even when they were little. It was strange, and that was an understatement. Bakugo took a deep breath.
"I...I am sorry."
Izuku felt his heart drop for a moment. He was sorry? Sorry for what? Did he do something he wasn't aware? I mean, Bakugo did make fun of him since they were kids but there was no way in the entire universe that he would ever apologize for it.
"You... You're sorry? For what exactly?" Izuku couldn't be too sure, so it felt better to ask. Bakugo seemed irritated but sighed and continued.
"I am sorry for being such a dick to you, Izuku. I am sorry for saying you're worthless and below me. If anything, it's me who's beneath you."
Hearing Bakugo's words, Izuku's eyes widen. He couldn't possibly be serious. After all those years of being told he was worthless...All those times he was told to take a swan dive off the roof a building...And now he wants to apologize?
"I...I don't understand." Izuku said, his tone of voice was not one Bakugo had heard before. He didn't sound mad, but he didn't seem to be taking it well.
"I am sorry. What's the confusion?" Bakugo crosses his arms, starting to wonder what Izuku could be confused or puzzled about. Izuku sighs.
"Alright, let me get this straight; You have bullied me since we were both kids, you have told me on several accounts to kill myself, you have told me I am nothing, and NOW you want to apologize?" Izuku definitely had an audible tone now; he was pissed. And that was clear as day.
Bakugo was shocked by the tone. He shifted his weight from his right to his left. "I...I am sorry, okay? I know I didn't say it sooner even if I probably should have. Can we just...put this behind us and be...better moving forward?"
Izuku could feel his blood start to boil. He had never been so frustrated with anyone in his entire life. Well, maybe his dad. But that was as only because he never bothered to show up once in his entire life.
"I'm sorry, let me get this straight; you expect me to hurt forgive you for all the shit you put me through? Just like that? Absolutely not! I am not just going to fucking forgive you for making me want to kill myself and make me doubt myself on everything I do!" Izuku shouted.
Bakugo flinched at the loudness of Izuku's voice. He decided to try and speak again. "Look, I know I have done things that I cannot take back...but please, just listen to me."
Izuku rolls his eyes and starts to gather his notebook and pencil angrily. He had enough of this. He was sick and tired of Bakugo always pushing him around and manipulating him into what he should and shouldn't think. But now? Now it was different. He was done. He was going to be his own puppet master. He will be the one pulling his own strings. And that was settled.
Izuku had gathered his things and brushed past Bakugo to go back inside to his dorm room. He was this close to losing his cool if he hadn't already.
"I AM SORRY!" Bakugo shouted, he sounded like he was going to cry. He was genuinely remorseful of his past actions. He really was sorry...but sorry is never good enough.
"I don't forgive you."
The sound of the door being slammed shut echoed through the halls and was heard to anyone outside. Bakugo was left standing alone in the warmth and breeze of what was once the friendship he thought he had. But he screwed up, and he could never come back from it.

@hidefire :
"oh, shit. i forgot to do that, didn't i?"
for once, she actually hadn't been trying to hide her identity. it wasn't like she lived her life in secret, but she's kind of only just realizing how truly awful she is at actually meeting new people. sure, it was made a million times worse by the fact that she was having a panic attack, but if not for the reminder, she probably would have never introduced herself. whoops.
"uh, i'm rain. rain mars? it's uh. i really didn't mean to like, not.. introduce myself, knox. sorry." shakes her head again, for probably what would not be the last time by the end of this conversation. she just hates when it gets so busy up there like this. it's starting to quiet, but she thinks, as much as it has to do with knox, it also has to do with how tired she's becoming. this is the part that she always forgets. whenever these things end, they always come with a wave of exhaustion.
is the worst of it over? maybe. she hopes he's right.
"you should come by again. uhm. even if it's just for like... hot chocolate, or something. i've... this has been really nice and like. i just really appreciate it. i owe you." some of the friends she's had over the years wouldn't have been this kind to her. and so... maybe she wants to be his friend. is that weird? maybe. she is the crying girl from the coffee shop. she's probably always going to be that to him.
(it could be a lot worse.)
"yeah. i'd just like. to uh. hang out sometime while i'm not crying. if you want."
her name's rain mars. and the first thing he thinks is, that sounds like a rockstar's name. it's cool as shit and he finds himself wondering whether it's some kind of nickname or if that's really just her name. knox has to remind himself that people can be born with good names, though, and some just mesh better together than others. then something hits him, and it causes his brows to quirk up, an odd look on his face. "huh," he says, tapping his chin. "i just realized our names have the same number of letters in them... rain mars and knox ford." it's kind of perfect. then he hears her apology and is quickly shaking his head. "no, no, don't apologize. you've had other things on your mind, so..." he really doesn't want her to apologize to him. it feels wrong, somehow, especially when she hasn't done anything wrong.
then she keeps going, and knox just feels like he's been punched in the gut. "you really don't owe me anything," he says, nearly scrambles to say. "it's no biggie, me talking to you...besides, it's turned into a good conversation, so if anything i owe you." it's true, isn't it? when's the last time knox has even been able to have a normal conversation with someone else? probably not in a long time, considering how high he's been the past few weeks. shit, even months. years. it's all kind of become a blur for him.
"well, i'm sure the hot chocolate here is great so i'll definitely be stopping by again. and besides, i wouldn't miss open mic night for the world. now that i know you're in it and all that." he smiles. "us rockstars have to stick together, don't you think?" he's a little giddy with excitement that she even wants him to come, because, well, when's the last time he even had a true friend? one that didn't just want something from him, or try to befriend him because of his connection to the band? rain doesn't know who he is, not really, and it's almost...nice. he kind of wants to shield that from her, at least for as long as he possibly can. he's not keen on disappointing her quite yet. "i'd like to hang out too. just say the word and i'll be available! as long as i'm not playing at a gig. you got a number or should we just wait and see where life takes us?"

Heroics teacher Danny somehow hears Izuku was formerly quirkless and is new to his quirk. Rips all might once again and goes to have a heart to heart talk/training with izuku.
It had just started as a rumor.
He's not sure where it originated, but the whispers of Izuku Midoriya being born quirkless ran rampant through the hero course like wildfire. Fortunately, it had stopped just as quickly as it began thanks to the strict gossip policy the school had. And it seems that Midoriya himself hadn't heard the rumors, but...Well, Danny wouldn't be much of a hero if he didn't notice the shoes.
After all, he had a pair himself.
He had his theories, of course. He knew it was possible for a quirkless kid to stumble their way into power. He was, after all, Exhibit A. And, well, it didn't take a genius to figure out that Midoriya didn't really know how to use his quirk. Not in the way that he should, if he had had it his whole life. If he had his quirk for more than a few months then he wouldn't be breaking his limbs at any given chance from the sheer force of it.
It also didn't take a genius to figure out that his quirk was a little like All Might's. Sure, the number one hero didn't glow with green electricity, but the actual strength part was basically the same. Hell, even Midoriya's smashes were similar to All Might's. Plus, with how often they had lunch together-and All Might didn't offer that to any other student-there was obviously something going on.
Danny intended to find out what.
-----------
It had been an accident. Sure, he was digging for answers, but he hadn't meant to actually eavesdrop on the two.
"Now that you've inherited my quirk, you need to learn on controlling it better," All Might was saying. Danny's brow furrowed as he stopped in his tracks right outside the teacher's lounge. Curse his supernatural hearing, because now he couldn't bring himself to keep moving.
"I know. I'm trying, but my body can't handle more than one percent right now," Midoriya replied. He sounded upset, though if it was at himself or All Might he couldn't tell. "Maybe...Maybe we should tell Aizawa? Since he oversees most of out training he would be able to help me get better control of it. I can't keep breaking my limbs, after all."
"I think, for now, we should keep this between us," All Might said in a grave tone. "The less people know, the better. If this secret got out, they could get hurt."
"Oh-of-of course," Midoriya stuttered out. He sounded absolutely ashamed, and he's not sure why, but Danny saw red.
Because all of his theories were confirmed.
That Midoriya hadn't had his quirk long. That All Might had something to do with it. That All Might was actively keeping Midoriya from getting the help he needed. All Might sure as hell wasn't doing his part in training the kid-not enough, anyway. He was letting this teenager bumble around and figure things out on his own.
Danny was not going to have any of it.
Midoriya had gotten seriously injured during the battle trials because of All Might's incompetency. He wasn't going to stand idly by and let it keep happening.
He phased through the door, and Midoriya and All Might looked at him, surprised. Midoriya was hunched, as if he was trying to make himself smaller, while All Might in his small form stood quickly.
"Phantom? Can I help you with something?" He asked. He sounded nervous.
Good.
"Midoriya," Phantom said as gently as he could. "I need to speak with All Might. Could you please excuse us for a moment?"
Midoriya nodded and got the hell out of dodge. Danny turned his glare onto All Might.
"If his homeroom teacher has the power to help him control his-his-quirk, then you have no right to prevent him from asking for help," Danny said. There was a dangerous edge to his voice, and he could see the frost building on the edge of the tea cups that were sitting on the table beside All Might. "He's a kid who doesn't know how to use his quirk. And considering it literally shatters his bones, it would be detrimental to turn him away from asking for help.
"And, All Might, I know you're dense. It's no big surprise. But even a moron like you should have enough sense to let him ask for help."
"You have no right to listen in on our conversations-"
"-I have every right to listen in if it involves the safety of another student," Danny hissed. The lights above them flickered dangerously as Danny's anger spiked. He stepped forward, inches away from All Might's narrow face. "Instead of forcing him to isolate himself and only go to you, he should be branching out and getting all the help that he feels like he needs. He doesn't need your ignorant words infecting his own thought process."
"And for the record, I don't care about your quirk. I don't care how he got it from you. I care that it hurts him, and you're only putting him in an environment that hurts him more. It is his quirk, All Might, and he deserves to tell whoever he wants."
Frost was coating his clothes and the table and the furniture, and Danny knew that he had to reign it in before somebody barged in on them. He wanted to yell at All Might more. He wanted to yell at Nezu, because he knew for a fact that there's no way the rat god didn't know about this.
But Midoriya had looked so upset when he scurried out of the room. He had to make sure he was okay. He had to make sure he knew Danny was going to be there for him, no matter what.
He had to go after him.
----------
He found Midoriya in an empty classroom that was rarely ever used.
His shoulders were up to his ears as he hunched in on himself, physically making himself smaller. Danny recognized the signs-he used to do it himself, before he got into his accident. Midoriya's fists were clenched in his lap, and he was trying desperately not to sob.
Danny, not wanting to scare the poor kid, gently knocked on the door frame. Midoriya's head snapped up. His eyes were wide and shined with unshed tears. He looked absolutely miserable.
"Can I come in?" Danny asked. Midoriya gave him a nod, and he walked over. He leaned against the teacher's desk, and slouched his shoulders so he didn't look as scary. He knew he looked intimidating on his best days, and Midoriya really didn't need that right now.
"So-you-you know?" Midoriya asked. Danny sighed and nodded.
"I didn't mean to eavesdrop," he told Midoriya. "I'm sorry for invading your privacy like that. But I couldn't just stand there and let him manipulate you like that."
"He-he wasn't," Midoriya defended, but the words sounded weak to even him. "He's just trying to l-look out for me."
"If he was truly doing that he would have allowed you to ask for help from other teachers. Not to say his heart isn't in the right place, but his line of thinking is outdated."
"B-but-I...I'm scared," Midoriya admitted. Tears were finally making their way down his freckled cheeks, and it made Danny's heart fucking break. "None of my other teachers ever liked me 'cause I was quirk-quirkless."
"So you're worried that they'll think of you differently?" Danny asked. Midoriya stiffly nodded. Danny gave him a small smile, and hoped it came off as comforting. "I won't think differently of you. Quirk or no quirk."
"But why?" Midoriya asked, his face twisted in confusion. Danny just shrugged.
"I'm probably the only other guy in the world who could understand what you're going through," he told the teenager. At Midoriya's growing confusion, Danny figured a demonstration would probably be better at explaining than his words ever could. So he let the two white rings wash over him, turning him from Phantom to Fenton.
Midoriya's eyes sparkled with unasked questions.
And then they flicked down to his shoes.
The were bright red, with black laces and white soles. On the heel was an embroidered Q.
They were the same shoes Midoriya was wearing.
Understanding dawned on his face, and Danny had the pleasure of watching his face go through an emotional roller coaster akin to a soap opera.
"But how?" He asked.
"My parents were overzealous scientists that specialized in the supernatural," Danny answered. "I got into a lab accident and died. Er, half died, I guess. Don't try it at home, kid, I don't recommend it."
"I have...So many questions," Midoriya breathed. He was practically vibrating in his seat from his excitement, and Danny couldn't help the fond smile on his face.
"And I'll answer them eventually," Danny replied as he changed back from Fenton to Phantom. "But in the mean time, do you still wanna go tell Aizawa?"
Midoriya seemed to clam up again at the thought. "What if-what if he doesn't want to teach me anymore? What if he expels me?"
"What if he thinks of you differently?" Danny asked him, getting to the true root of the problem. Midoriya nodded, and Danny lifted himself off the desk. He walked over and placed a hand on Midoriya's shoulder.
"He knows about my secret," he told Midoriya. "Actually, he was there when it happened. And he was friends with me when I was just some quirkless kid. He won't care about any of that superficial stuff."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"O-okay," Midoriya said. He physically steeled his resolve, putting on a brave face and slapping his cheeks a couple of times. He quickly wiped his tears away and looked at Danny with nothing but determination.
"Let's go."

Keep the enemy closer
Pairing: Oikawa Tooru x Karasuno's Manager!Reader
Warnings: Spoilers of the ends of the first season, one or two cursing, Sugawara 😈, Kageyama as your best friend, there's this one part where Oikawa's head is on your shoulder and you're like combing your hand through his hair and I'm-
Genre: Fluff, enemies to lovers au, surprisingly, no angst
Synopsis: You're the manager of Karasuno, the little sister of the team. A game between you and Aoba Jousai has changed more than you thought it would, and you certainly didn't expect to catch the eye of the captain of the enemy team.
Oikawa Tooru was an impressive man. You had noticed that the second you saw him.
It wasn't only his looks -but everyone who had seen him had to admit, his looks were a big part of his charm-, or how amazing of a player he was, how he could read people and situations and instantly think of a solution, his wit, even more than that.
The first time you saw him was at the nationals, right when he was up in the air, his hand touching the ball. It was like everything was in slow motion. You could see how calm his face was, but also how his brown eyes burned with the hunger of victory.
Only when his hand slapped the ball did the slow-motion end, the ball flying over the net, a loud slapping sound thundering in the room. As the ball had touched the floor, you knew no one would have been able to receive that service. Everyone else seemed to think so, the room speechless and silent for the first time since the game had started, all eyes on the handsome boy, and rightfully so.
It took the audience a few seconds to manage and process the service, ear-splitting cheering and clapping sound filling the room, making everyone wince, but him. Oikawa received the claps like he was born to be on stage, to stand there and accept the bewildered gazes.
You found yourself wanting to clap too. Your hands stood in front of you, waiting for the command to come, but before you let yourself cheer to him, you quickly put your hands down, sticking them to your sides.
A moment of weakness, you concluded. Nothing more, just appreciating a good game.
You gulped, unable to tear your eyes from the brunette. Oikawa had that confident, so laid back smile that screamed to the world that he knew he would win, but you knew if you looked closely, you could see in his eyes how on edge he was, observing every little thing that was in the game, not even want but a need to win burning him from inside out. That was the Oikawa charm, you concluded.
It was such an exciting feeling to witness emotions this extra, and it made you want to be a part of it.
"You look like somethings stirring in your mind." Sugawara came a bit close to you, making you jump out of your thoughts as you could feel his soft gaze observing you. You glanced just one last time to the boy on the court, and you could swear your eyes found his for a second.
"Oh," you muttered, now looking at Sugawara's eyes, even though they looked soft and naive, Sugawara was anything but that. "It's nothing." You smiled. "I guess you could say I'm a bit stressed."
***
And then, the ball touched the floor.
Sitting on the edge of your seat, you felt like you couldn't even breathe. The ball going back and forth, not touching the floor, you were grabbing the bench do hard, your knuckles had turned white. Though you weren't the only one, even coach Ukai had lost his calm.
It was only until Aoba Jousai started to cheer, hug each other, did you actually comprehend that you had- lost. Hinata was still on the floor, and you could see the tears dwelling in the corner of his eyes. Kageyama wasn't better than him either, hands shaking, not wanting to accept it.
Daichi was the first to pull himself out of the daze surrounding his teammates, the audience, you. Extending his hand to Asahi, he pulled his friend on his feet, giving him a confident smile. The boys on the other side of the net were cheering, jumping like they weren't the ones that had one of the longest games of their lives. They were exhausted, even you were tired just watching the game, but they weren't probably even aware of their body's situation.
Your eyes found the boy who stood in the middle of the court, so proudly, he almost looked perfect. Born for this moment, you thought once again.
You gulped, looking away from him, feeling uneasy just by looking at him. You walked to your side of the court to your friends who were still on the floor. "Hey guys," you tried to stop your voice from trembling. "That game was amazing. You really pushed yourselves out there."
"But it wasn't enough," Kageyama growled, sending goosebumps down your body. He looked so focused on the fact that he had, in fact, lost, like he wasn't himself. You had no answer to that, so you stuck your hand to him instead. "Let's make it enough." You told him as he held your hand and stood on his legs. "Together."
You weren't aware of Oikawa on the other half of the court, who had heard your words, and he could feel the anger boiling inside of him. He had won, Oikawa had beaten the 'genius' Kouhei of his, so why were you standing proud next to the boy, telling him he could win next time? That it was enough, that it was okay to lose?
He huffed, turning his back to you both and enjoying his victory with his team. It was like a burden lifted from his shoulders, now that he had beaten Kageyama, he had seen him on the floor of the court, trying to pull himself back together. Then, why did you reaching a hand out to him came to his mind each time Oikawa tried to feel good about finally winning?
***
"What's going on?" You asked Sugawara, looking at the big crowd outside the building as you exited the sports arena. You noticed it was all girls, giggles, and an occasional scream echoed, too.
"Oh that's," he said matter-of-factly, "Oikawa and his fans."
"His fans?" You repeated, brows shooting upwards in disbelief.
"His fans." Sugawara grinned. "You were amazing, Oikawa-senpai!" A girl fawned over him, and another had a box in her hands, decorated with cute little stickers. "I- I made cookies, Oikawa-senpai." She stuttered, her face red.
"Aw, are those for me?" You saw Oikawa quirk a brow up in a prideful manner, thanking the girl as he took a bite out of the cookie. "These are amazing, Sakura-chan!" He told her with a charming smile, leaving the girl a stuttering mess. Now, every girl that had brought him something went feral, trying to get him to eat what they had made him, too.
Even though you thought it was a bit excessive, you shrugged and went your way since it didn't concern you, but you had to turn back when you heard a familiar voice shouting instead of the girls'.
"Oh, shit," Sugawara muttered, running towards Oikawa, and what seemed to be Kageyama. Kageyama looked furious, in contrast to Oikawa's calm face decorated with a scorning smile.
"You son of a-" Kageyama held Oikawa by his collar. "That's an interesting way of showing respect to your senpai." Oikawa giggled. "Now, now." Sugawara got in between them just in time. "Let's not fight, it was a fair game, and we don't want to cause a scene." Despite the soft tone of his voice, he looked at Kageyama's blue eyes like he was trying to tell him to calm the fuck down. "I don't care about making a scene," Kageyama growled, his eyes never leaving Oikawa's.
"Oh, I always knew you were a cruel, stupid king." Oikawa grinned. "Though, I never thought you were an ignorant one, too."
Oikawa's observing abilities were deemed helpful in this situation too, he looked and found what could hurt his opponent the most. And he did. Kageyama was left speechless, though it didn't last long. He was about to act on it, and you were sure what was on the tip of his tongue wasn't very polite until you joined the fight.
"Hey, Kageyama, calm down." You put your hand on his chest and pushed him back a little until he let go of Oikawa's collar. "Yeah, Kageyama, you shouldn't be hurting my pretty face-"
"And you," you turned to him with threatening eyes, face cold, and you could see the surprise on your face. "I thought you were older than us, but as I see it, you're the most childish one around here. You're right, you won, and congrats. But rubbing that in the face of your opponent makes you the cruel one around here."
Oikawa's warm brown eyes were now a cold, muddy color, narrowed as they wandered over your face. Though it didn't last long until his emotionless face melted into a cynical grin. "Well, if it wasn't for this pretty little manager here, I wouldn't have accepted this behavior at all. But I'm going to be generous and forgive you." His eyes now back on Kageyama, expecting him to blow upon his words, but before he could do so, Sugawara talked again. "Thank you, Oikawa-san. That's very mature of you."
Interesting, Oikawa thought.
But Oikawa didn't care about what Sugawara thought of him, he cared about your thoughts, instead. But instead of fangirling as he thought you would, your cold expression didn't change, causing his brows to furrow in confusion. You huffed and turned your back to him, lulling Kageyama with you without turning back to glance at him one more time.
***
You bit your lip anxiously ass you scrolled through Instagram, feeling like you were doing something unacceptable.
Well, maybe you were doing something unacceptable.
Your eyes wandered over Oikawa's stupidly perfect face, body, and figure. Damn, why did he have to look like the most amazing guy ever -that is, until he opened his mouth- and be photogenic?
Annoyed with your thoughts, you put your phone down, determined to get him out of your mind.
***
"What was that girl's name again?" Oikawa muttered as he closed the door of his cabinet.
"Which girl?" Iwaizumi asked, weirded out by his friend's question. He had never in his life seen Oikawa ask after a girl's name.
"Oh," Oikawa shrugged. "That manager? Karasuno's?"
"Wait," Iwaizumi closed the door of his cabinet too. "You're telling me you have a crush on Karasuno's manager?" That question was so unexpected, Oikawa gaped at his friend. "Crush? I don't have a crush on Karasuno's manager." He told him with a huff.
"Yeah, right." Iwaizumi snickered though he didn't press him about it further.
***
"That was amazing, Kageyama!" You cheered as he sent the ball flying. Although Kageyama didn't answer, you saw the prideful grin on his face.
Everyone was working harder than they ever had, determined to win the match against Aoba Jousai. There was an upcoming training camp with some of the strongest schools, and since and Aoba Jousai was one of them, there was going to be at least a dozen games against them, and Karasuno was determined to show them how stronger they got.
"A five-minute break." Coach Ukai called out, the team sighing in relief, Tanaka letting go and resting on the floor.
"Here ya go, Tsukishima." You told him as you get him his bottle, laughing at how long the distance was between your faces. "Thanks," he answered, nodding to make his gratitude sufficient. "You're working hard as well, I see."
"I can't just sit and watch as the team gets stronger with every hit. I need to work to keep up." He sounded mad, but you knew it was only the bitter truth. "I can only wish for you to smack one of your hardest spikes right next to that Oikawa guy so we can all take a deep breath in."
"My fakes are my secret weapon, you know that, can't really smack him in the face." He answered. "You should be asking Hinata instead."
"Hmm," you muttered thoughtfully, "maybe you're right. But I still want you to do that as well." He smiled, a faint smile that wasn't one of his cynical ones, and you grinned.
"Nishinoya senpai, you didn't drink water!" You called out as you ran towards the libero, his eyes sparkling when he heard the word 'senpai' coming out of your mouth. "You're like our guardian angel, you know that?" He told you, smirking after he took four long gulps of his water that you had brought him.
"And we're your guardians." Tanaka joined from the floor. Ah, right. The guardianship. They were so determined to guard you that all the boys in the school were now afraid to get even remotely close to you, hesitant that these two would intervene.
If anything happened that you needed them, every single person in the team would be more than happy to help you, you knew you could trust them, but these two could sometimes overdo it. "I know Tanaka-san, thank you for that."
"Nobody messes with our manager." He answered, unusually serious.
***
The training camp was here, which meant Karasuno facing Aoba Josai at last.
Which also meant you were going to sleep, eat, and stay under the same roof as Oikawa Tooru.
That thought gave you chills, felt like some forbidden thought that shouldn't even cross your mind, but it did. Frequently, at that. But it wasn't necessarily your fault, was it? He was just too handsome for his good. And so annoying that you just couldn't seem to take him off your mind.
Yes, that had to be the reason why you couldn't stop thinking about him, and your insides turned upside down when you saw him because he was too annoying.
You sighed, feeling pathetic since you were literally lying to yourself, and didn't notice Kageyama walking right next to you. You snapped out of your thoughts when you felt his eyes on you, grinning in response but not getting a smile back.
"Hey, don't look so moody!" You told Kageyama as you poked his cheek, earning a glare from the boy. "Oh, come on, don't look at me like that! Have a little fun." You poked his cheek again, causing him to catch your wrist and pull it upwards, making you lose your balance and stumble towards him. "Yeah," he muttered as his eyes narrowed and his face didn't lose its emotionless state, "this is fun."
You rolled your eyes but laughed, trying to free your wrist from his hold, both not aware of the cynical brown eyes wandering over you. "Oh, if it isn't the little manager and the cruel king." A voice called out, causing you to jump in surprise, though Kageyama didn't even flinch. "Just the people I wanted to see." Oikawa smiled sarcastically as his eyes gazed on you two, on the hand that still stood on Kageyama's chest to gain balance, on your hand that was holding your wrist and pulling you towards him. Eyes narrowing, his lips turned upwards down, though his face didn't lose its cynical expression.
"Oh, I couldn't be happier." You muttered, causing Kageyama to snicker. "Yours is a sharp tongue, isn't it?" He told you, a dry laugh.
You were going to answer, if not for the two boys that employed themselves as your guardians wouldn't have jumped in front of you. "You!" Nishinoya screamed, "get away from our manager."
You saw Oikawa rolling his eyes but couldn't say anything back since Tanaka was asking you if you were okay as they led you to the gym like bodyguards guarding a celebrity against paparazzi.
***
"What the fuck are you doing?" Iwaizumi came after him as Oikawa entered the gym.
"What?!" Oikawa said roughly, though, realizing how out of character he was, he smiled instantly. "Iwa-chan! Didn't know you were here."
Oikawa sighed when Iwaizumi stood quiet, staring at the cocky boy until he dropped the act. "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean." He answered. "That girl, the manager. I know you're flirting with her."
"I'm not!" Oikawa protested.
"You are. What are you trying to do? Get one more conquest on your list? If you're just trying to get her to fall for you to get revenge from Kageyama or Karasuno, or both, that would be shitty, Oikawa. You're shitty, but even you're not that shitty."
"It's not- it's not trying to get back at them or something." He quietly admitted.
"Then what is it?"
Yeah, what was it? Why did he get angry every time he saw you with that stupid Kageyama? Oikawa was better than Kageyama in every possible way. He was better looking, proved himself to be a better setter in the last game, funnier, confident, good with girls, flirty- he was just much better than that stupid king.
Then why did you stay by his side, and not Oikawa, the better one's side?
Why did you tense up every time you saw him? Felt like you had to attack him? Anytime he said something about your team, why did you defend them? Why didn't you realize he was better than Kageyama?
"I don't know."
"You don't know?" Now, that was new. Iwaizumi didn't think he would live long enough to see Oikawa say those words to him.
"I don't," Oikawa smirked. "And that's what makes it interesting."
***
You were watching the training match between Nekoma and Aoba Jousai, a little sad that your team didn't get the chance to play with them today, too. Still, a spike from Kuroo himself had you cheering at the top of your lungs, gaining a cheeky grin from him.
You saw Oikawa's eyes dart your way as you cheered, a small scowl appearing on his face. You couldn't look away, the golden-brown eyes making it impossible to do so. Only when you heard a whistle coming from the game next to you were you able to shake yourself and stop staring.
"We won, we won Y/N-chan!" Hinata shouted, making his way next to you along with Kageyama on his side. "We were like hiyaa- and Kageyama did gvaa, then I jumped, and it was like kyooo!"
Despite being breathless, Hinata still had the energy to show you every move he did, unlike Kageyama, who looked so tired that you worried he might pass out.
"Hey, you okay?" You asked him as you got under his arm, supporting him as you walked to the bench. "Yeah, just tired." He wiped the sweat with the back of his hand, making you wince. "Ah, you stink." You muttered, turning your face the other way as you shoved the towel you were holding to his face. "And dripping sweat. You're going to get sick."
"I honestly don't have the energy to even dry my face to a towel right now." He told you, though you could already from the way he walked. You giggled, pressing the towel to his face for him. "Okay, big baby, I'll help you- but don't get too comfortable, it's just for today."
He grinned.
***
Oikawa frowned as you giggled at Kageyama. It was Kageyama, for God's sake, how could he say something even remotely funny? He gritted his teeth when you dabbed the towel to his face, wiping his sweat for him.
Before he could even think about it a second, Oikawa found himself making his way to you, trying to look as confident as he could.
You were still giggling at something, though your smile dropped as soon as you saw the cocky captain coming towards you. He was sweaty, fluffy brown hair now sticking to his handsome face, framing it so nicely that you found yourself holding your breath.
"Hey there, little manager." You gritted your teeth when you heard the nickname he had for you. Well, he probably didn't even know your name, so it was normal, but it didn't make it any less annoying.
"Oikawa-senpai." You muttered, pretending not to notice how his eyes glinted when you called him Senpai. "How can I help you?"
Since you got scolded by both Daichi and Sugawara for losing your calm against a boy two years older than you the last time, you knew you had to stay calm this time.
"I was hoping to see you." He told you, ignoring Kageyama that stod right next to you. He hoped to see you? Why?
"Well, I'm here." You answered, not sure what he was trying to do. Oikawa sighed because you looked a little too uninterested for his ego. "Yn-chan," Your eyes slightly widened when you heard your name dropping from his lips, a weird feeling running down your body. "I was hoping to see you, so I could... apologize."
Interesting.
"Apologize?" You repeated, and he nodded with a dramatically regretful expression on his face.
"Yes, you see, we got on the wrong foot, and I thought I could talk to you about what happened." Your eyes narrowed, not sure what's up with the sudden 180° in his attitude.
"I just wanted to tell you that what I did last time was wrong, and I'm sorry about what I did." His voice so soft and soothing, you could feel your heartbeat picking up. Why did he have to look so damn handsome as he apologized? He ran a hand through his dampened hair, your eyes following his hand you gulped.
"Oh, um, that's nice?" You said, causing his brows to furrow. "Although you shouldn't be apologizing to me, but to Kageyama." He saw the small smile forming on your lips, and you grinned internally. "Yeah, you're right."
Now that he had even made his way to apologize to you, it was your turn to make a move, there weren't any obstacles for you to fawn over him now, were there?
You had turned your gaze to your phone from Oikawa when it buzzed with a notification -as Oikawa waited for you to confess your undying love or some shit-, thinking that he'll leave after the whole apologizing thing.
Maybe you were one of those shy ones, he thought. Deciding to be generous, he gave you a little push.
"And?" He told you. "Isn't there anything else you would like to say to me?" You should be grateful I even gave you this much of my time, he thought internally. He didn't do this for everyone.
"What-" your voice trailed off. "What do you even expect me to say?" It wasn't your words that left him speechless, and it was the look of pure confusion on your face. Where was the confession? Why weren't you doing the things he expected you to do?
Oikawa was often right about how things would turn out, both in volleyball or in life, so on these rare occasions, he had no idea what to do.
As you noticed the you're-hurting-my-ego look on his face, you finally understood what was going on. Oh, poor little Oikawa-senpai. He was expecting you to fangirl already, didn't he?
"Oh, come on, Senpai." You told him with a cheeky grin. "You didn't think it was going to be that easy, did you?
***
"You really shouldn't be messing like that with him, you know," Sugawara told you, making you sigh. "I know, I know." You told him. "But he's just so full of himself that I can't hold my tongue back!"
"Don't underestimate him, Y/N. He acts all innocent and stupid, but he's dangerously smart, one of the smartest people I know. Don't fall for it." He warned you but stopped talking when he saw your eyes looking at your phone screen instead of him.
The notification was from Instagram, a friend request. Your brows furrowed, and you unlocked your phone, gasping when you read the name that stood there.
Oikawa Tooru.
The Oikawa Tooru had sent you a friend request. You had to be dreaming, but you accepted it and sent him a request back nevertheless. You thought that would have been the end of it, but it was only seconds after when your phone buzzed, his name on your screen once again.
"Hey, little manager."
Your breath hitched in your chest, and you hesitated as you opened the text. Should you text back? You were debating whether you should text back or not when you heard Sugawara fake a cough.
"I gotta go now, we have some free time, and I think I'm going to use it to practice a little." You nodded with a smile that mimicked his since you were never able not to smile when Sugawara looked at you with his signature grin. "Okay, I'll be cheering for you."
"Yeah, just don't cheer for anyone from Aoba Jousai, right?" He winked, walking away before you even got the chance to wash the shock off.
Your eyes instinctively wandered around the court before you even knew who you were looking for, and you found yourself feeling giddy inside when you found Oikawa right across the court, sitting on the bench and looking at you with a cocky smile.
***
"Slow down a little, guys, you'll choke if you eat like that." You told Hinata and Kageyama, though they seemed too focused on their food to hear you. You rolled your eyes, placing your now-empty bowl in the sink, not noticing someone coming right after you.
"Ah, it's the little manager." You heard him, his voice a little too close to your ear. He bent over a little to place his bowl in the sink, his face getting dangerously close to you. "The food was amazing, is it because you helped them cook it, too?"
"No." You answered gingerly, eager to leave this conversation before you- found more details about him that amazed you. "Ah, then it should be because of your pretty face I was looking that made it taste better."
You grimaced at his answer. "You're getting cheesier with every second, Oikawa-san." He pouted. "What happened to Oikawa-senpai? It was real cute, you know."
This man was just too-
"Oikawa senpai," you gritted your teeth, and he grinned. "Why are you talking to me?"
He shrugged. "I think I enjoy talking to you. And I was wondering if my apology went through." A step your way, and you could swear you sensed his minty perfume. "It did." You answered as you took a step away from him since his presence alone was fuzzying your thoughts. "Doesn't mean that I'll be instantly head over heels for you, though."
You thought that would've made him angry, irritated, at least, but instead, he grinned as if he was playing a game.
Then, all of a sudden Oikawa's smile dropped, and he sighed. "I wish you could just see I'm not as bad as you think."
"Oh, right. Cause you're just amazing, right?" You mocked him, expecting him to smile and give a cocky answer, but he didn't. He stayed silent, his dark brown eyes boring into yours so sincere, it sent shivers down your spine. "I mean it, I'm not the big bad wolf you think I am. I know I was mean to you and... Kageyama before, but weren't you also? Why am I the bad guy when I even went ahead and apologized, but you are still mocking me?"
You had no answer to that. Because- he was right. Oikawa did apologize to you, but you were still trying to make him angry, and you were the one who said he was too full of himself.
"You're right," you finally admitted after a long pause. "I know." He answered with a grin, and you rolled your eyes, though it wasn't as annoying as it was the past few days.
"Okay, then. Let's make a deal." You told him. "I'm listening." He quirked a brow up, a look of genuine interest on his handsome face. "Let's start over."
"Start over?" He repeated, and you nodded. A few seconds of silence that felt like an eternity passed as you waited for his answer. Maybe this was dumb, and you were just humiliating yourself-
"Okay." He answered, your eyes snapping up to his with the sudden answer. Even though you tried to conceal it, he saw the glint of hope in your eyes.
"Okay." You said back, trying to hold back your smile and failing.
***
You have never in your wildest dreams have thought Oikawa could be so nice.
Nice to hang around with, talk, and joke with... And that was just straight-up terrifying because that led your heart to have its own consciousness apart from the logical part of your body, a part that hushed your thoughts whenever Oikawagot a little too close to you, a part that scolded you when your eyes searched his figure a little too often, a part that didn't know how to stop you from feeling giddy and smile when he looked back at you, too.
"You're acting weird lately." Sugawara came closer to you in the water break.
"How so?" You asked with a smile. He shrugged. "I'm not sure, but I'll just tell this to you as a senpai," he wasn't smiling as he talked. "Don't go catching feelings to someone you shouldn't."
"Sugawara-senpai," you laughed, shaking your head side to side. "What are you talking about? I'm not catching feelings for anyone!"
"You know, I hate it when you lie. You're really bad at it too." He sighed when he saw how afraid you looked. "Look, it's not my place to tell you what to and not to do, and I have no say in your relationships whatsoever. But he isn't someone you should trust, I told you this before." He smiled, that cute signature smile of his. "Just be careful, all right?"
You nodded, and you knew there was no reason in denying. "Good." His hand ruffled your hair, making you groan in frustration, but before you could go back at him, he turned his back to you, walking to the court.
You looked at Oikawa as he smacked the ball. Combing his dampened hair out of his face by running a finger through them, and wiping his face with the back of his hand.
His eyes found yours as they always did, and you couldn't hold yourself back from smiling as he sent a cocky smile your way. Though, his smile dropped when Iwaizumi smacked his head harshly, probably scolding him about not listening, which made you giggle.
You felt your heartbeat picking up, a little too much that it was getting out of hand. So you decided it was best to leave and take some fresh air to just stop yourself from thinking about him.
You don't like Oikawa Tooru, you tell yourself. He's the captain of your enemy team. The rival of your best friend. The Great King. The guy you were so prejudiced, but later saw how much more of a human he was. A boy that looks nothing but a goofy, proud, cocky boy, but instead is someone that worked as much, or maybe even more than your friends. Oikawa Tooru, the perfectionist who sacrificed so much to become who he now is.
And you admire him.
Before all this, you still did admire him for how he played, but now it was so much more. He was proud, and he was full of himself, but he was also insecure, and he was afraid. Oikawa was mean, but he was kind, and he could smack the ball so hard that it would scare you, but could sometimes be so gentle you couldn't recognize him, acted stupid but was terrifyingly smart.
And even though you were out here because you were hiding from him, he was standing right across you. "I was a little worried when I couldn't see you inside, staring at me like I'm the most amazing thing."
"I'm not staring at you like you're the most amazing thing!" You protested. "Actually, it's you who's staring at me!" Lies. But instead of calling you out, he smiled. "Maybe you're right. I do look at you quite a lot." He muttered, making your eyes go wide.
"Wh-why are you here, Oikawa-san?!" You managed to choke out, trying to change the subject.
"Oh," his eyes had a sly glint to it, and you thought maybe you shouldn't have asked him that. "I was just wondering if you could..." Did he look- embarrassed? "If you could dry my face for me? Like you did to Kage- I- I mean, dry my face." He held out the towel in his hands, a -although you hated to admit- cute smile on his face.
"What? Dry your face? Me? Why can't you do it yourself?"
He frowned at the question. "You hadn't asked him all these questions." He muttered, making you finally realize what was going on. "You want me to do this because you're jealous?" You couldn't help but giggle. An expression of pure shock flashed on his face. "I'm not jealous of that-" He stopped himself and grinned. "Please do it? Pretty please? For your Senpai?"
You groaned. "Will you shut up if I do as you say?"
He grinned. "But of course, m'lady."
"Oh, just shut up."
"Whatever you say m-" You started to wipe his face, choosing to begin from his mouth just so he could shut up, though feeling his soft lips under your touch, you realized it probably was a big mistake.
He was just as surprised as you, unable to move your fingers, you recognized the odd feeling that was forming in your stomach.
You took a hitched breath in as you finally gathered the courage to move your hand. You touched Oikawa's face softly, dabbing at his slightly reddened cheeks (it had to be the training, you thought), his temples, his forehead. You repeated this once or twice more, and just as you were about to put your hand back down, you felt a slight pressure on your hand, causing you to pressure his cheek, too.
It was Oikawa, you realized.
"Wait, not yet." He told you, his low voice, along with the feeling of his hand on yours sending shivers down your spine. "Don't stop just yet." He closed his eyes, his face leaning in your touch, making you unable to move or think. He just looked so vulnerable-
You had no idea what the hell was going on, but before you could even ask him that, he opened his eyes, a sly glint in his eyes, and a mocking smile on his lips. He was teasing you, wasn't he?
You rolled your eyes, pulling your hand back, freeing yourself from his touch. "Y/N-chan," he pouted. "I was comfortable!"
"Well, I wasn't." You answered, you both knowing very well that was a lie. "You looked pretty comfortable, though."
You sighed. "Oikawa, just shut up, will you? Isn't your break already over?"
He would've given a mocking answer if he didn't notice Iwaizumi running towards him, ready to pull him back to training. He pouted. "You're right. I'll text you, though!" He beamed as he ran into the building.
"Feel free not to!" You answered back, trying to hold back the grin that was forming on your lips.
***
Your phone buzzed in your pocket, waking you up from your nap. You groaned and was turning your phone upside down when you realized the text was from Oikawa.
You immediately felt your sleep vanishing as you unlocked your phone, the brightness making you wince.
"Meet me under the big tree,
Bring some milk bread too, pretty lady."
You grinned and was about to text him back when your phone buzzed with a notification once again.
"It took me like... 10 minutes to come up with that, and Iwa-chan punched me 😔 will you kiss it better?
Btw, I couldn't rhyme midnight with anything but don't be late pls"
You couldn't stop smiling as you sent a meme as an answer, unreasonably afraid of giving him a verbal response.
You locked your phone once again when you didn't get a response, not even aware that you were grinning like an idiot.
***
Just as you promised, you went under the big tree that was behind the building, concealing you from the eyes of your teammates. You were right on time, waiting for him, though he hadn't arrived yet, giving you time to consider if running away and telling him you never came was the right thing to do.
What even was this? Meeting under the tree at night, like some cheap cliché out of a cheesy novel, was just the thing Oikawa would do, you had to admit, but you weren't sure if it was for teasing purposes or something more.
It was normal, you told yourself, nothing special, no need to get your hopes up. But you knew you couldn't keep telling yourself and believe it when he looked at you the way he did when you laughed, when your eyes met his from the other side of the court, when he smacked the ball and scored a point, looking your way to see if you had seen it too.
You didn't know what that look was, or what it meant, but you were smart enough to know that it wasn't anything that would happen between you and Sugawara, or Nishinoya, or any one of your friends, for that matter. It was something that hitched your breath whenever you looked in his pretty brown eyes, the ones that seemed to be always glinting with mockery.
"Did you bring it?" You heard a whisper along with footsteps, though you knew it couldn't be anyone but him whose voice sent shivers down your spine like this.
"Yes, Oikawa-san, I brought it." You rolled your eyes like you were annoyed, a way of hiding the excitement that was in your eyes whenever he was around you. He sat right next to you, leaning on the big tree, his body so close to yours that your shoulders and legs touched with every move. He smelled so nice, the woody smile coming from him mixing with the smell of night, the grass and the trees, his hair tickling your face whenever the wind blew.
He licked his lips when you took what he was asking for out of the basket, your eyes following and mimicking the motion subconsciously. "This is my favorite thing in the world." He groaned as he took a big bite out of the milk-bread in his hands. You saw a glint in his eyes, and he cracked a smile. "Except for you, of course."
"Very funny." You answered with a mocking tone, though you thought it was merciless of him to tease you so. You tensed when you felt his head slowly dropping on your shoulder, his soft hair now in your face, making you grimace. "You just never let me make a move." He sighed, "It kinda started to hurt my ego."
"Maybe I would've if you weren't such a tease." You felt his eyes on you, though you chose not to look at them since you were afraid of what you could see in them.
"Did you like my poem, though? You didn't comment on that today, really broke me since I poured my heart in every word." He pouted, and you wanted to kick yourself to prevent your mind from thinking how cute he looked just then.
"It's not that I didn't comment, but couldn't." You told him. "It was so good that I didn't know what to say."
"Ah, if that's so, there's a lot more if you want me to, you know." He grinned smugly and opened his mouth. "Oh, no need, really, I think that was enough." You told him with a mocking horror.
"The night so chilly, and it's a bit windy. Though it's not a problem since I got you with me." You couldn't help but giggle as he said those lines so seriously, though you knew he wasn't from the smallest thug on his lips.
"I have no words for how great that was." You told him, your hand on your heart with an exaggerated expression. "I don't know if this a blessing or a curse." He replied with a pout, and you laughed.
As he watched you laugh, your arms shaking ever so slightly, he felt the odd feeling in his chest that he had experienced this past week quite a lot. "I'm sleepy, Y/N- chan." He told you suddenly, and you could feel him shuffling in his place to be a bit more comfortable.
"You were the one who called me out here at this hour. And you've been practicing all day, you really shouldn't be skipping sleep."
"It's totally worth staying awake, though." His voice now a low whisper, you felt goosebumps but weren't sure if it was because of him or the chilly night.
"You won't be saying that tomorrow, though." You told him with a small giggle. You could feel him looking at you, and your heartbeat fastened uncontrollably.
"Well then, I have no other choice but to sleep here, then."
"Wha- what are you doing, Oikawa-san?" You stuttered as you felt his head sliding down, resting on your shoulder.
"I'm sleeping. You're the one who told me I shouldn't skip sleep, aren't you?" He grinned slyly, your shoulder oddly comfortable.
You shifted in your place a bit too, afraid that he'll pull his head back and go back to his room, and you scooted a bit closer to him to make him comfortable. Because of the size difference between you, his head was in an odd position that would probably cause his neck to ache tomorrow, so trying to make it a bit better, your hand went to his head to push it back the slightest, though the moment your hand touched his soft hair, you heard him sigh.
"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to-" you pulled your hand back, only for him to grab your hand and put it back on his hair.
"No, it's okay- I mean... it's... nice."
"My hand is nice?" You repeated, not able to understand what he meant.
"No... the feeling... the feeling of your hand in my hair is nice." A meek whisper that you probably wouldn't be able to hear if you weren't listening so close went out his lips.
He sounded like a little boy, making you grin unconsciously. "Can you?" He muttered, not even a question. "S-sure." You could feel your cheeks burning, and you could swear you felt his cheeks burning, too.
As you ran your fingers through his soft tresses, you could hear him sighing contently, his breaths getting slower and deeper with every stroke.
His face nuzzling to the crook of your neck, you could swear you felt his lips touching your neck slightly. "Oikawa-san," you muttered, shuffling a bit away from him, only for him to close the gap again, maybe getting even closer to you each time. "Stop doing that." He told you when you tried to get away from him again, this time, his arm snaked around your waist, pulling you even closer to him and not letting you shuffle away.
It's not that you actually wanted to get away from him, you wanted this moment to last forever, but you were also aware that this probably meant nothing to him, whereas it meant too much to you.
"You need to let me go." You told him when you couldn't pull yourself free from his grip.
"I can't let you go." He answered, and you got the feeling that he wasn't talking about this. "I've tried, you know. To let you go, I mean. But you're just everywhere I look, even when you're nowhere to be seen, you're always on my mind." He told you, your hand in his hair freezing with his words.
Not knowing what to say to that, you gave yourself a few seconds to think. "Wow," you finally muttered. "That was pretty cheesy."
He stayed quiet for a second and then snickered. "And that was the worst reaction I have ever gotten to a confession." His hand on your waist loosened, letting you pull back. His head lifted off your shoulders, now looking in your eyes, you shuddered. "Wh-what confession?" You asked, your question making him groan.
"Oh my god, Y/N, I'm trying to tell you I like you!" He finally told you when you looked at him blankly.
He what?
"Do you feel the same?" He asked when you stayed quiet. Did you feel the same? Of course, you did, or why else would you be here? You nodded slightly, an audible sigh of relief coming from his way.
"Then can I... can I kiss yo-"
You kissed him first.
Epilogue:
"C'mon, Y/N-chan, just one kiss, for luck!" He pressed on, making you roll your eyes. "Look, I'm not even asking you to wear my jersey, I respect you wanting to hide this for a bit more."
"Don't you try to fool me, I know you're just saying this because you're afraid of Iwaizumi-san!"
"Am not!" He pouted like a child, crossing his arms. You took a deep breath, not even aware of your boyfriend getting closer to you inch by inch.
"Come on, love, don't be a tease and kiss me already." His voice deep and serious, not giving you the option to refuse. Your eyes widened at the sudden change of attitude, though, you should have gotten used to it by now.
You did as he said, leaning into him and closed the distance between you, touching your lips to his soft ones. Kissing him always gave you goosebumps, in an oddly good way. Resisting the urge to push your hands between his hair and pulling him deeper into you, you pulled back. "There," you told him, trying to hide how out of breath you were just from that 2-second kiss, "happy now?"
"Sugawara-senpai!" You exclaimed, frantically searching for a way to save your ass. He saw the look on your face, a dark expression finding its way on his. "Nuh-uh, don't you try to lie to me." He told you.
"Very." He answered with a smug grin, making you blush and roll your eyes at the same time. He exited the room, and not long after, you followed him, not expecting Sugawara to be there, waiting for you to come out. "Oh well, look what we have here." He told you with a smug look that contrasted with his cute face.
Nishinoya.
"Now, since your boyfriend, Oikawa here is playing a match against us, it's only fair if you kiss us too, for, you know, luck." You knew he was joking, so you rolled your eyes, ready to enter the court to see if your team had started to get ready for the match, eyes widening with fear when you saw the little boy staring back at you with as wide eyes.
"HE WHAT?!" He screamed, his voice thundering in the hallway.
"Oh shit." You muttered to yourself.

Healing broken hearts: continued
Chapter four: when I see you again
(This is more on Tai's point of view, figured I'd switch things up a bit)
Tired... Sad... Empty... No amount of words could really explain how I feel these days.. Just really numb... And alone...
I really messed up it doesn't get any worse than what I did... I can't even bring myself to look in the mirror anymore..
Worthless... Pathetic... Idiotic.. Stupid!
Everything that is happened is all because of me...
I was supposed to be a hero.. To be something good to the world... To Y/N ... But no... All I did was ruin them, I ruined what we had, there's no excuse no matter how I look at it..
A soft mew broke the large man out of his thoughts, looking down at his feet from his perch from the couch, he noticed his new acquaintance, a little Kurilian bobtail kitten he had got recently to keep himself company, he picked up the small little guy, giving him a few gentle strokes to his back before lifting him up to give him a small kiss "Hey buddy..." He spoke to the little one, getting up to head to the kitchen, knowing what that cute little mew meant, he looked through one of the cabinets of his home, having it stocked just for his new little house mate.
"There you go.." He set a plate of food, just enough to satisfy the little one's hunger, down onto the kitchen floor, watching with a smile as he ate, but his attention was then caught at the sound of the doorbell to his home, walking over to open the door, he heard two familiar voices on the other side, his smile grew at the sound of his boys, grabbing at the doorknob opening up his home, ready to greet his interns.
He wasn't prepared for this this however...
○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○
My whole body froze when I saw them, the fact they were even here shook me to my core, and it felt as though a hard punch had been waiting for me on the other side, directed towards my heart.
It felt like I was seeing them for the very first time... Like how I did when we first met... How I wanted to see them again... How happy I was when they were finally with me..
And how much I loved them so dearly all this time..
"Tai.." They spoke first, I could see it in their eyes, how hurt they are just looking at me..
That feeling in my chest was starting to be more unbearable by the second, tears were starting to spill from my eyes, it was starting to feel like my office breakdown all over again
"Y/N.. I-" I hardly got a word out before they were already attaching themselves to me, sobs muffled against my body, gripping tight on my tank top as they cried, it was a major relief feeling their arms around me again, so much so that I couldn't resist hugging them back just as tight, the ache in my chest slowly subduing to less pain until all I could really feel was the shaking form of the one person who was able to heal the pain I had felt all this time.
"I'm so sorry Y/N...I'm... I'm sorry I put us into this mess.." Looking up I saw Kirishima and Tamaki, giving a small smile, I beckoned them over to join the hug, they did, eagerly, it was a nice a moment, a moment I'd cherish for as long as I'll live.. Just me, my two boys..
And the person I love most..
♛┈⛧┈┈•༶.・゜゜・.・゜゜・.・゜゜・༶•┈┈⛧┈♛
"Here.." You were given a cup of warm tea, giving your thanks to Tai, you soon turned your attention to the little one being entertained by the two older boys, Tamaki had manifested some vines from his fingers, having eaten a salad earlier while in the cafe, and was using them as a make-shift cat toy as Kirishima took video of the cute ordeal, watching the tiny feline swat and bite at the greens with absolute awe in his eyes
You gave a small smile at the sight, feeling Taishiro's figure sit next to you, his hand rubbing your shoulder and turning your attention to him, in his hand he held two of the sweets you had picked out for you all from the cafe, the smile grew as you took the offering, biting into the sweet treat, enjoying the amazing taste. For a shop that just opened up, the pastries were already to die for.
"Wow.. These are amazing Y/N! I might have to stop by during one my patrols" Tai spoke up seeming to enjoy the little gift you and the boys had brought him. You gave a soft laugh at that, leaning back against the couch as you stared at the hero
"Oh is that right? Well maybe I'll have some prepared for you when you do decide to stop by, because God knows it'll take us forever to prepare stuff for you right on the spot" You both shared a laugh at that sentence, before it slowly died down a bit, looking to the side, you both sighed softly, still unable to face each other properly.. The sounds of the boys playing with their new friend being the only noise at the moment
The silence was too much, and you decided to make a bold move by leaning against the man next to you, earning a small flinch from him before he eased into your touch a little bit, wrapping an arm around you, lightly rubbing your shoulder as he rested his head on yours, the feeling of being this close to him again, it was overwhelming, but you loved it, a smile coming to your face then a sigh while the sound of the TV turning on caught your attention, deciding it would be nice to just stay like this a little longer in his hold, you got comfortable on the couch while Kirishima and Tamaki had decided to join you both in watching the highlights of the best hero rescues and villain takedowns played by the afternoon talk show.
It was like that for most of the day, watching shows or movies, eating snacks, playing and thinking of names for the kitten, while talking about how how things are in life while trying to avoid.. Other subjects.
"So fellas how are things at UA? Is Eri doing ok?" Taishiro was the first to make conversation with the two boys over some takoyaki (of course) for lunch
"Oh yeah! She's doing great, check it out!" He mumbled pulling out his phone and flipping through something before landed on a photo and turning his screen to face the small group next to him.
Looking at the photo, Kirishima was looking down at the silver haired horned girl, who looked back up at him, both holding the same pose, fists together, toothy grins, showing off the manly stance with pride
You smiled at the sight, seeing the happy smiles, you couldn't have been happier yourself.
"That's adorable Kirishima, and very manly, you're starting to be more like a big brother figure" Taishiro mumbled, ruffling his hair a little earning a small chuckle from the young boy
"What about you Tamaki? Anything happened with you at UA?"
"Not really.. Things are.. Pretty well I guess.. I-i'm sorry I'm not that i-interesting to talk about.." He started to clam up a little, and you reached over to lightly rub his back "it's alright Tamaki, I don't have anything interesting to talk about either.." You reassured the shy boy, hearing a small chuckle coming from Tai until his phone ramg from his room, excusing himself from living room he headed towards his own, closing the door once he was inside.
⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇ ⋇⋆✦⋆⋇
I was able to get to my phone in time before the ringing completely stopped, but due to the rush I didn't really have time to see who was calling, figuring it might have been an emergency of some kind.
"Hello?"
"Hi sweetness~"
That voice... I knew it well.. Too damn well..
"Y-yūwaku?! Why are you calling me now?!"
"Aww Tai.. Come on, can't check up on a friend?~"
Friend? Seriously?? After everything that been happening, all those texts, the flirting, everything that had led up to this, I was no better.. Giving into her that night... Thinking about it now, I feel so stupid, and helpless..
"So here's the thing.. It's been a couple of weeks and.. I was sorta wondering if you're free right now we could grab lunch together! Just the two of us? Maybe... Catch up again?~"
The very thought of the idea, made my heart ache, knowing where this going, I decided to just hang up, throwing my phone onto the bed before sitting down onto the floor, covering my face with both of my hands.
Yūwaku Yokubõ.. Her quirk: Desire... The quirk she was born with made her a temptress.. She gives off a luring aura, making her irresistible to anyone caught by it.
We had been friends since high school, but lost contact soon after.. And just when it seemed like we wouldn't have seen each other again, fate couldn't have done enough to me already..
My phone buzzed, and I turned to look at who was calling, it was her again, I grabbed my phone and declined the call, deciding it would be best to turn it off for now, I fixed up myself, stoning my shaken face with one of more calm and collected, not wanting to worry the boys or Y/N with my troubles.
All I had to do was not let it bother me
»»——⍟——««»»——⍟——««»»——⍟——««»»——««
You look over at the two exhausted boys, leaning against one another, eyes slowly closing to give into the temptation of sleep, and watching as the little kitten in Tamaki's arm didn't fail to follow right behind his older brothers
Hearing footsteps you looked up to see Taishiro coming back, taking notice of his now, three boys dozing off
"Well.. It is kinda late.. We should get these guys to bed.. I'll call their teachers and tell them they'll be staying with me.." He mumbled before scratching his head "um.. You uh.. Have their contacts?"
You seemed confused by that question, but answered honestly "Yeah why?"
"Oh my.. My phone died and I can't find my charger at the moment.." He explained as you handed over your phone, letting him use it to call up the school teachers
You turned your attention over towards the young ones, leaning over to brush some hair out of Tamaki's face. Watching a smile grace the shy boy's face
You saw Taishiro coming back from the kitchen, handing your mobile device back to you, with a small "thank you" Before he went over to take Tamaki into his arms, mindful of the tiny feline as he took him to the spare room, deciding to help him out you took Kirishima, following after him to settle the young hero into bed.
You came just in time as Tai was about to come out to get the boy, you both stopped in your tracks, startled by one other's sudden showing, laughimg a little before he took the hardening hero from your arms, settling him onto the spare bed near Tamaki's own, he turned his guest room into one meant for his boys when they stay over, able to get two separate beds for them both so they could sleep comfortably.
Taishiro leaned down to give Kirishima a small kiss to his forehead, smiling before getting up and turning towards you
"So.. I.. Guess you're heading back home then?" He asked, bringing you out of your thoughts
"Oh.. Oh! Right.. I.. I guess I should.." You mumbled looking down, rubbing the back of your neck, looking up at him with a small smile, which he returned
"Will.. Will I see you again?" He asked, rather hopefully at that.
You smiled at him before shaking your head, taking the chance to walk over to him, looking him in the eyes while placing both your hands on his shoulders, his arms came around your waist, pressing his forehead against your own
"You know it's hard to stay away from a great guy like you Taishiro... It's unfair really..."
"No... I was unfair... I was unfair to you.. You didn't deserve that Y/N... I was just.." He gave a small sigh before continuing "I just missed you.. I missed your company, I missed things with us... There's no excuse for what I put us through though... So.. I can't say I'm that great of a guy.."
"It happens Tai... It was in the past... I don't wanna think about that I..." Your arms moved to wrap around him, hiding your face into his chest, he didn't hesitate to hold you closer to him, nuzzling into your head
"I just wanna stay with you..."
"... Do you... Have to go?"
"I don't have work tomorrow.. So.. I guess not.."
"Then... Do you wanna stay?"
You looked up at him, looking into those golden eyes, unable to look away, they seemed to come closer, slowly closing as well as your own before you felt his lips press against your own in a soft kiss, one that didn't really last long, but left you breathless.. Hungry...
Wanting more...
He seemed to have read your mind, pressing his lips against yours in a much more deeper longer kiss, your arms moving back to wrap around his neck, he lifted you into his arms, walking out of the room, shutting the door behind him to leave the boys to rest, running your fingers through his hair as he took you to his room, only pulling away from you to allow much needed air into your lungs, soon enough he opened the door to his bedroom, setting you onto the large bed as he continued to steal away your breath with deep longing kisses, his hands trailing up your figure, sending a shudder through your spine,
You couldn't get enough, and you didn't want him to stop, but he unfortunately did to ask you once more
"Y/N...do you wanna stay with me?"
It didn't seem like he continue any further if you didn't give him an answer. And to be honest.. You already knew what you wanted to say, with or without his addicting affection.
"Yes tai.. There's no where else I'd rather be..." You leaned up to give him one more kiss to his nose
"Than here with you..."

Leech Lord: Quirks
Handling critique:
Troy:
He doesn't know them by name and they aren't showing respect when he turns to apprehend who just dared interrupt him rudely in front of others?
Dead. Immediately. There's no pause to hear them out or explain themself, their head will be crushed in that spined fist before he even finds out what they were about to say was criticism. There is no concern or regret over this later, he won't even care enough to remember their face.
Far more forgiving in private as he’s not needing to play up to his persona, but still - respect has to be shown.
Someone he is aware of by name/rank, or sees as having value?
Stay polite and factual and he'll listen. Hands clasped behind his back and shifting his eyes down their body as they speak, like they’re being measured, or read. He'll listen. The more numbers they can provide, the more clear data they can give that shows his information or his actions are wrong and what they are suggesting is better, the more likely he will take it on board. The God King is surprisingly polite and coldly calm when approached correctly, regardless of if he likes what he is being told.
- A close friend?
Nervous, picking at his teeth with the tips of his nails and finding it hard to meet their eyes. Hunched over himself and back bent even if he still towers over them, like a child who just wants to go hide. Stuttering. Apologetic to the point of becoming self deprecating even if what they were raising was only minor. It's not a big deal Troy, it's not, it was just some feedback. Calm down pal it's not worth getting worked up over, really. No you don't have to redo the whole thing, that's stupid come on y.. no you aren't stupid Troy, don't delete it all.. Oh, Troy.
Tyreen -
She does not hear, she does not see.
From anyone. It doesn't matter who they are. Unless you are her you're wrong, because she cannot be incorrect. She is infallible... you get it, right sweetheart?
She is omnipotent. She is a GOD. It's not that she's not listening to them, they don't mean enough for her even to be able to hear.
Seifa:
A stranger she views as someone below her in position?
Lol who are you. Who the fuck are you to think your opinion has any value, let alone matter to her? She's not even hearing what you're saying, you should be out of her presence by the time she stops eyerolling by the way, she's a busy woman. May not be healthy to waste more of her time.
Above her in authority or experience?
Silence. Not quite making eye contact, she's focusing on breaking down what you're saying and digesting useable information. A quick "Got it, I'll consider what you said" afterwards is genuine. She will consider it. That doesn't mean she will take it onboard, but she knows not to waste valuable data.
Friend?
A mix of both. She'll make it clear there's a very good chance her opinion on this is going to supersede yours, but that yours still has value for her. She might not make change changes right now based on it.. but it could affect how she approaches things in the future.
Pet Peeves:
Tyreen
A pet peeve, one she's irked by but doesn't spend a huge amount of time lost in rage over, is people treating her like she's airheaded. It happens often, especially when she's around Troy. She's not dumb. At all. Just because she's not a giant, brooding, scowling asshole who stands in silence while death-glaring everyone in the room, doesn't mean she's vacant or stupid. Just because she's louder, and more animated, doesn't mean she's ditzy.
In talks, the conversation always gets pointed to him for any discussion regarding anything with business or technical depth, she hates it. He's good at this shit, he's great with numbers and logic, but just because she communicates differently doesn't mean shes terrible. It's irritating.
Seifa:
Bullshit. She cannot abide hearing someone talk complete wank, and wants extremely direct clearcut conversation at all times bar if she's talking shit with friends. That's totally different.
She wouldn't manage to be in the same room as someone like Rhys or Katagawa for more than 5 minutes before she'd be ready to peel her own face off and eat her hands, so takes a lot of comfort from the "Please fucking kill me oh my god" gestures and grimaces Troy makes towards her from out of the speakers sight in meetings where they are dealing with the waves of verbal shite emanating from some corporate tool.
Troy:
Sleeping. It's just a fucking waste of time. It's completely pointless. Shut yourself down for hours so your body can release chemicals it needs? Fuck sake, just take the chemicals and stay awake, wow, well done, now you have 1/4 of your life back!
Dreams suck, waking up feeling like death sucks, spending hours laying awake staring at your ceiling while trying to make your "brain be quiet for once, just please.. be quiet.." for hours till you eventually pass out sucks, it's all stupid and wasteful and humans are dumb. He's dumb. Everyone's dumb.
Tenderness:
Tyreen:
She'd see wanting it as being weak in a way, Ty doesn't need anyone for any reason, so she doesn't need intimacy or tenderness. Why would she? She's not weak, or soft. Not being able to touch others isn't even a factor here, don't you dare imply it is. Intimacy is for people who aren't strong enough to exist alone, don't insult her by thinking she'd ever want it. She watches those romcoms for the PLOT and the character development, did you see in that last episode of Skags of fire that Miguel finally got with Santia-
Seifa: Born 2 Tender (physically and monetarily)
She thrives off receiving and giving affection to close friends and partners, it's a part of herself she masks off from her general authoritative persona for a lot of reasons, people often see being caring or gentle as weak, and that's not something she can afford in day to day life.
People close to her know she's very tactile platonically, and an arm around a waist or shoulders is the norm if you're spending much time with her and she's in good spirits. She doesn't shy away from touch in general and has no problem initiating contact with anyone she trusts and is close enough with that she doesn't feel like being caring is a risk around. Intimacy and close tenderness with a partner is her main love language, and something she absolutely expects be provided to her.
Troy: Viciously envious of it
The last time he encountered freely platonic intimacy was in his childhood, both with Leda and Tyreen before Ty started to resent showing affection more and more as they got older. He's desperately, pathetically lonely and fully aware of that, even if he lies to himself that he's fine.
He can't request it from the people he sleeps with as it means showing them the real man under the persona, and he's learned that people do not like the real Troy, so he's starved of real intimacy despite having so much access to other people's bodies nightly.
Not all bad:
Troy
His intelligence.
It's one thing he can think back on and remember only ever receiving positive comments on, right from as early as he can recall. He's always been able to consider problems in a way that lets him break them down and approach them from a unique angle. Dad said he was able to "Think outside the box", but he never really understood what that meant till the twins landed on Pandora and he watched so many people run themselves into the ground when such simple solutions were right there. Maybe not moral solutions, but simple solutions regardless! He absorbs and retains information very easily without any real effort, and when he found out that wasn't the norm, it became a genuine point of pride for him. Something he was great at, unrelated to his persona.
Hips and thighs
While most of his upper body causes him physical pain or he dislikes in general for multiple uhh.. reasons, he's never had any issues with his lower body. He loves the definition of his hips and lower stomach, his knees haven't ever had any joint pain, his legs have always been toned and strong without really needing any focus on them. He's worked himself to the bone trying to fix the things about his upper body that he hates, but his legs? Nah. Nice :ok_hand:
He's really good at looking after plants
He's really good at it. Lots of people can't keep plants alive but he can :) No one knows about it, but he does. It's nice to be good at something. It's just ...nice. :)
Seifa
Her waist and stomach.
Sei is relatively curvy for her height and is very thankful for her narrow waist, or she'd look like a solid rectangle in heeled boots no matter what she wore. It helps her keep up the soft fem aesthetic she likes to mix with punk bullshit without much effort, gives her a shape in baggy engineering overalls, and keeps belt pouches ON. Like, ON on. Shit is never going to move. She has a slight soft curve to her lower stomach she used to hate, thinking it made her look overweight , but as she grew into her twenties learned to love. Other people liked it, she was just being a dumb kid.
Physical strength
Years of working with lugging heavy machinery has given her an unexpectedly solid core, and she'd have no problem lifting something, say, Troy weight, and flipping it over her low center of balance without a sweat. Which is very fun. On things that are Troy weight.
The loyalty she builds with others without trying
She's not sure what it is exactly she's been doing to prompt it, but over the last few years she's come to realise she has a genuine support network across the system of people who are very loyal to her, and are there when needed to back her up in trades, or filling positions she needs, or getting her in touch with a group she's got no foot in. People she works with or gets to know trust her and remember her even years later, it's been a nice thing to find out about herself, though she wishes she knew what exact thing about her was the source of it.
Asks are Open!
