Steve: You KILLED my trike!

Eddie: And I told you it was an accident. Rexy is old and blind! He can't see where he's going!

Steve: Likely story! That's not even Rexy! That's Rexy's grandson, and he can see perfectly fine! You're just mad because my trike was prettier than your rex!

My favourite type of fanfiction at the moment has been 'y/n is reincarnated into fandom to save the characters from canon!'. (currently mainly reading for JJK and MHA as that's what I'm obsessed with.) There's something so pure about the plot and how the author has fun with it. With scenes where yn is lowkey simping or the actual character of the fandom being dorky.

I think the appeal (besides the amazing writing and passion given into each chapter of these fanfic, rec list below) of this is how straightforward it can be. You already know the characters, you know the canon. All you learn when first reading is what ability you get and how you fit within the world. Which is usually attending the school or growing up with the character.

But mostly, what I love is seeing the butterfly effect and the new dynamics it can create. But lately, I can't help but wonder about a fanfic that has the vibe of 'careful what you wish for'. And seeing what ripples that could make. (I write mostly of JKK and MHA but these ideas could be apply to AOT or Demon Slayer or any other fandom.)

I find it hilarious if instead, the y/n is older than the main group. Imagine being the milf/dilf of MHA. Being the same age as All Might or old enough to adopt characters like Shigaraki.

Or being the in-between age of Deku and the teachers. Where your options are; hanging out with the League of Villains, working hard asf to be a top hero to be around Hawks/the plot. Or becoming a teacher/assistant to watch over class 1A to change canon. I mean, what else are you meant to do in your early twenties? You literally have to force yourself into the plot lol

Oh, you have a favourite character, like Nanami, Gojo or Choso you want to meet? Here you go, a new life as their child! (probably be a sibling for Choso lol) Oh you met you wanted to rizz them up and treat them right? Nope, sorry, you're forced to tag along and face any challenges that would come as being a child to a; Jujutsu sorcerer/ the strongest/ a half-curse spirit.

Oh, this time you specified the thought of being dating/married to Aizawa/Geto/Toji as you died? Kinda weird but here you go! Your new life as their spouse! But only, you don't gain memories from this new life, as you only remember about the canon. Don't mind the grief and odd looks the character is giving you, their amnesia darling. It's not like you can't remember the wedding you two shared. (for maximum angst, they have the kids and you're just clueless about being a parent and saving the canon. yikes)

Okay, but what if you get super lucky? You get to be with the main character and do real help! Everything is fine in JJK but Sukuna is dead set on killing you. Every chance he gets, he uses until he kills you. But it's only after he brought you back that you learn it's because he actually loves you. After all, you're the reincarnated of his reincarnated dead wife. (not confusion at all, lol) He was just pissed that you dead centuries ago and couldn't have the life you two planned. It was his way of getting even. Definitely not annoying when trying to save characters.

Okay, for real now. Everything is perfectly fine...But what's this? Yuji and Izuku are actually yandere for you? Oh, that wouldn't change canon that much, right?

ANOTHER TWISTED NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM THOUGHT: REXY.

Like, imagine if Rexy was able to come with you to Twisted Wonderland one day or something and everyone just freaking out because giant skeleton T-Rex but also, like, the fact that only YOU can calm down the giant skeleton T-Rex.

- Imagine fighting someone during their overblot and you just grab a bone and they catch it and they're all: "HA! Was that supposed to do anything!?" and you're all: "Yeah, this. REXY, HERE, BOY!" and all they hear is a roar before they get head butted by this fucking dino.

- Crewel could probably tame Rexy tbh and would watch him for you when you go out. Like, Rexy is growling at him but Crewel hits his snout with a whip and tells him to sit and he DOES. But then he'll pet him and be all sweet.

- LMAO, FLOYD WOULD TRY TO CLIMB HIM AND SHIT AND AZUL AND JADE HAVE TO STOP HIM. Azul would try to trick you into making a contract with him for Rexy but you and the giant dinosaur just glare at him and he realizes that he's in danger.

- Obviously some people can magically restrain him but you will fight to the end just like you fought for Grim. That is your SWEET BOY AND YOU LOVE HIM.

- Rexy being a bit distracting because he's waiting outside your class window and all the guys are just staring out the window at him as he whines for you and you chuckle nervously at Trien whose giving you a very stern look.

- THE BOYS USING HIM TO PRANK RSA STUDENTS. Like, Ace has the bone and he's all: "C'mon, boy, c'mon!" and Jack is advising them that this isn't a good idea and Epel is all: "No, it's a fantastic idea!" and Jedediah is all: "YOU SAID IT!" and Octavius is there like: "It's really not."

- Rexy would still be scared of Malleus honestly, like, he cowers whenever Malleus comes around and it dissapoints Malleus because he loves Rexy so much. He's like a non magical dragon- what were they called again, oh yes! Dinosaurs. After you get Rexy used to his prescence, he'd love to hear you info dump to him about dinosaurs and the two of you walk around campus exchanging gargoyle and Dino facts.

- The way that Rexy will often times come running back to you with a random student in his mouth and throw them at your feet excitedly, Rook is smiling like a freak as he admires how beautiful and dangerous Rexy's teeth are and you're like: "REXY, GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH! You don't know where he's been-"

I'M BACK TO TALK WITH YOU ABOUT SOME NATM SHITTY IDEAS THAT ARE SO COOOOOL

SO, I LOVE THIS CROSSOVER IDEA

Ok ok, so first of all for them going to the museum in New York I was thinking of like, their parents (of Mabel and Dipper) wanting them to look at something else than their phone (I'm also thinking of them being 15-17 y/o btw, and Dipper is still obsessed with Gravity Falls and the weird magic + Mabel wearing weirdcore/nostalgiacore outfit (I love this style btw))

SO their parents sees, somehow, a poster of a night at the museum show/sleepover (Acctually it is common in some country) and they decide to go in. In here Dipper finds the fact of the exhibits just being animatronics "weird" and "impossible" because they seems to be too "humanly normal" to be robots. And he somehow manage to get Mabel in the story and they discover the tablet is magic.

Have gravity falls on the brain again, but imagine how fun a natm and gravity falls crossover could be

An older dipper and Mabel visiting or even staying in NY for a bit and ending up at the natural history museum and finding out about the secret of the tablet

Maybe something from gravity falls got transported there to be displayed, maybe even ford and Stan getting to make an appearance?

There’s also the alternate scenario of Larry, maybe needing to get away from New York and his teaching job for a bit, and taking a trip and somehow ending up in gravity falls and getting wrapped up in their weirdness
