dream and nightmare cards in an au ive been working on for a bit, i love smug/tired dream somuch lfndk

in my au dream and nightmare exist on the same plane, the Underweald, and they are on opposite sides of the plane n they beef sometimes and the sides are split by sanses but they still rule over each half. the only part of the underweald not being fully ruled is the plane right above it, its smaller and filled with humans but its okay. the humans up above can be horrible, so generally nobody in the underweald tends to like them.

i’m still figuring stuff out so yk might expand as i go on

Two Headcanons for the price of one!!!!!

Horror is a sucker for dark humor. Especially jokes that make light of his old situation of slowly starving to death. A well placed pun is even better. You want to get on his good side quick? Make fun of starvation. Every else is really careful with joking about starvation in front of him because they think he’ll get upset but nope! He’ll laugh even harder than you.

A pun like; “And where are you from? Underfed?” Will earn you a burst of resonating laughter that you’d get from a bearded lumberjack.

And yes, the second headcanon is his laugh.

He laughs the kind of belly laugh you expect from an old bearded man that lives by himself in a cabin in the woods. The type of loud, contagious laughter that has people on the other side of the castle chuckling and wondering what’s so funny. He’ll slap his knee with an explosive thud and wipe the tears from his eyes when he’s done before telling you some of his own teasing jokes.
