All Y/N ever wanted to do was sing her songs and be free. Yet somehow, after offering to pay for the meal of a certain boy in a straw hat she finds herself causing havoc through the East Blue.
Masterlist - Next.
Trigger warning: canon violence. Word count: 8K
A/N: The only thing I will be describing about Y/N is her hair colour. Everything else you can imagine her as you wish.
Disclaimer: The songs I will be using in this fic aren't mine bc I have 0 creativity. I'm sorry.
Middle of the ocean, Nami's boat.
"Sooner or later, I'll wander into the unknown
Sooner or later, you'll face the world on your own
Who will you hang to when you're left all alone?
When the night grows cold, and the winds have blown--"
"....give me some quiet and some space?"
Nami's annoyed voice made Y/N look up from her booklet to Luffy chasing after his hat, it came right to where he was sitting at the nose of the boat. So, she simply stretched her arm to catch it just before it could fly away.
"Here," Y/N gave the thankful Luffy his hat back who took it with a small smile while mumbling his gratitude.
"Not cool," Luffy then turned to Nami, more serious than Y/N had ever seen him be. "Donât mess with my hat."
"Why do you care so much about that hat anyway?" Y/N asks, glancing back down at her notes.
"Yeah, It looks like you fished it out of the trash," Nami added as she continued to try and unlock the safe.
Luffy smiles down his straw hat "One manâs trash is another manâs treasure."
"That still doesn't answer the question, stud."
Zoro groans inside the cabin, "Will you three knock it off? Iâm trying to take a nap."
"Oh, Iâm sorry," Nami said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Were we interrupting your beauty sleep?"
"Donât like what you see? Look away."
Y/N chuckles at the response, however, her laughter is interrupted by the sound of the lock clicking making her snap her head towards Nami who was opening the door of the safe.
"You did it," Luffy exclaimed.
"Holy shit," Y/N swiftly stands and makes her way to stand next to Nami. She smiles at the orange-haired girl, "You actually did it, Pumpik."
They all looked down at the inside of the safe and it's content. Y/N was a little disappointed there wasn't anything special in it, not treasures one assumes a safe would keep, instead, there were some confidential files and a wanted poster for a pirate named Kuro. And then there was the golden map tube, the only valuable thing.
Nami reaches over and takes it. She hastily takes the top off and pulls out the map causing Y/N to let out a breathy sigh.
"Thatâs it?" Zoro deadpanned unimpressed by the findings, "Isnât there supposed to be gold inside a safe? Or jewels?"
Nami looks at the green-haired boy in disbelief, "This is more valuable than gold. Itâs knowledge. This is a map to the Grand Line."
"The Grand Line. Ah," Luffy, with his usual smile, stares at the map in Nami's hands."The Grand Line is just right⊠Where is it exactly?"
Y/N looks at the boy with narrow confused eyes, "Seriously?"
"Youâre going there, but you donât know where it is?" Sharing Y/N's thoughts, Nami asks.
"Guess I need a navigator on my crew," Luffy stated grinning at Nami.
"Oh, god," Y/N mumbles, cursing herself for being so stupid to think Luffy could take her to The Grand Line. Maybe she can steal the map at some point or draw a copy and go herself.... thought going solo wasn't a great idea. Not when ghosts continue to hunt for her.
They follow Nami inside the small cabin.
"The seas are divided into four quadrants." Nami grabs some chalk and starts drawing down on the hanging table. "East Blue, North Blue, West, South. This thin strip of land that circles the globe is called the Red Line, and this band across the middle is the Grand Line."
"A treacherous stretch of ocean with bigger islands, bigger cities, bigger pirates. Flush with riches and ripe for the picking." Nami grins.
Y/N regards the drawing with a soft frown as she recalls her past "And way more dangerous..."
"Thatâs where weâre gonna find the One Piece!" Luffy exclaims.
"Iâve taken out a lot of pirates looking for that thing," Zoro says before asking. "What is it? Like, a big diamond or something?"
"Itâs Gold Rogerâs treasure," Luffy told him. ""He hid it somewhere in the Grand Line. All in one piece."
"Itâs a myth. The reason no oneâs found it in 22 years is that it doesnât exist." Nami says with exasperation.
"Reckon he just said it to piss off the Marines," Y/N hums, "Admirable."
Luffy grins at the girls. "Canât wait to see the look on your faces when we find it."
"If you find it you mea--"
The sound of an explosion cut Y/N off sending all four of them into alarm mode.
"Is that the Marines?" Zoro asks placing his hands on his katanas.
Y/N quickly pulls her war-fans from her skirt. "Shit. Are they?"
They walk out to the deck. Nami mumbles "How did they find us?"
Y/N looks up with a frown for from the skies, some red dust falls upon them, slowly enveloping them. She was begging to feel dizzy, and very sleepy... with dread, Y/N realized what it was. This has been used on her before.
Nami was out first.
"This smoke smells weird," Luffy mumbles, feeling the effects of the dust.
Zoro was next.
"Luffy, the ma..." Before she could finish she felt the world went dark.
Y/N's bare feet danced across the warm sand, her laughter mingling with the gentle lapping of the waves. With each step, she felt the freedom of the island envelop her, a secret sanctuary where worries vanished like mist under the morning sun. She glanced back, her eyes alight with mischief as she spotted her much younger sister, Miri, darting through the bustling market stalls.
"Come on, Miri! You'll never catch me!" Y/N called, her voice carried away by the salty breeze.
Miri's laughter bubbled forth, a melody that echoed Y/N's joy. With a determined grin, Miri chased after her sister, her small legs propelling her forward with unbridled enthusiasm. The market around teemed with life, vendors hawking their wares beneath colourful awnings, the air rich with the scent of spices and freshly caught fish.
Dodging between crates of exotic fruits and stalls piled high with vibrant fabrics, the two little girls raced through the people with loud laughter.
As they emerged onto a sun-drenched promenade, Y/N slowed her pace, allowing Miri to draw closer. She turned to face her sister, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Think you can keep up, fish-legs?"
Miri grinned, her round cheeks flushed with exertion. "Just you wait, Y/N! I'll beat you yet!"
With a mischievous wink, Y/N took off again, her laughter trailing behind her like a comet's tail. The younger girl followed in hot pursuit, their laughter intermingling with the sounds of the islandâa symphony of joy and freedom that echoed across the sun-kissed shores.
The girls skidded to a halt in a quaint courtyard nestled amidst the bustling village. The air was redolent with the aroma of freshly baked bread and spices, luring them to pause and savour the moment. They settled onto a weathered bench, their breath coming in exhilarated gasps as they gazed around, taking in the vibrant tapestry of island life.
"Y/N/N, you think Mama would let me take one of those landfolk trinkets back home?" Miri exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with delight as she bit into a juicy slice of tropical fruit.
Y/N thought for a moment. Her parents were in an important meeting of some sort, she recalls them quietly speaking about the World Government declaration that was supposed to be out that afternoon, they sounded worried but Y/N had no idea why. "Maybe, depending on the trinket can withstand being in the water for long,"
"It's one of those dolls," Miri mumbles
"Those are made with fabric," Y/N shakes her head, "She won't let you,"
Miri pouts and deflates. Not liking seeing her younger sister sad, Y/N purses her lips in thought, when an idea hits her.
"Maybe not a doll but she can let us take one of these shiny stones. You like those, right?"
"Oh, yes," Miri smiles, "The stones with crystals inside of them, those are pretty..."
Their conversation was interrupted by a sudden commotion in the distanceâa chorus of shouts and panicked cries that shattered the tranquillity of the courtyard. People began to scatter, their faces etched with fear as they fled back towards the ocean.
"What's happening, Y/N?" Miri's voice trembled with uncertainty as they were swept up in the frantic throng of people.
Y/N heart skipped a beat as she glanced around, her senses on high alert. People were scattering in every direction, their voices rising in panic as a wave of fear swept through the village like wildfire. Without hesitation, she grabbed her sister's hand, her grip tight with determination.
"We need to find-"
As if on cue, their father appeared, his brow furrowed with worry as he rushed towards them. Without a word, he took hold of Y/N's hand and began to guide them through the throngs of panicked villagers, his grip firm and unwavering.
"Stay close, girls," he urged, his voice tinged with urgency.
"Papa, what's going on?" Y/N asked, her voice wavering with concern.
Their father's expression was grim as he gathered them close, his hands firm yet gentle as he began to guide them towards the beach where their mother was anxiously waiting for them. "There's danger, my pearls. We must go to safety."
The sisters exchanged a worried glance, their steps quickening as they followed their father through the labyrinthine streets. The distant roar of the ocean grew louder with each passing moment, a reminder of the peril lurking just beyond the tranquil facade of the island...
When Y/N first woke up, she was confused.
"What...?" She looked around noticing the others were just as confused as she was. Then she noticed the box they were all in. Her heart began to race.
"They took my swords," Zoro grumbles once he notices the missing weight.
Nami groans noticing they took something away from her too. "And my rucksack, ugh, with all my navigation gear."
"And my fans..." Y/N mumbles, quickly standing up. Ignoring the rest, she reaches to place a hand on the hard wooden wall, "No, no, no..."
Her hands scrabbled against the rough walls, searching for any means of escape. Splinters dug into her skin, but she hardly noticed amidst the rising tide of fear. Memories flooded back, memories she had long tried to buryâ The air was stale, each inhale felt like a struggle, as if the very act of breathing was a battle against the confines of the box.
"Hey," A raspy familiar voice said as a large hand landed on her shoulder but it swiftly slapped it off.
"Don't touch me," Y/N snaps as she continues to desperately look for a way out. "No. Not again, please,"
Suddenly, she flinches at the sound of someone next to her banging on the wooden walls.
"Stop." Y/N faintly heard Nami hiss. "Stop that."
"What? Iâm trying to find a way out." The same raspy voice said. It was Zoro.
"Weâve been captured. We need a plan." Nami tells them.
"No, fuck no," Y/N continues to look for a way out, this time, however, she starts to push against the wooden wall.
"I just need to beat the hell out of every Marine I see," Zoro agrees.
"Hey, everyone, relax," Luffy, like Zoro, places a hand on Y/N's shoulders only to be slapped off. "Weâre fine."
"Weâre not fine. The Marines will throw us in jail if weâre lucky." Nami says. "Execute us if they donât"
"They⊠they are not Marines. Before I got knocked out, I saw a Jolly Roger. Weâve been captured by pirates."
No...
Y/N stopped her attempts as Images flashed through her mindâmemories of past suffocation, of being trapped in tight spaces. Panic gripped her like a vice, squeezing tighter with each passing moment.
Time lost meaning as Y/N battled against the relentless grip of fear. Minutes stretched into hours, each second dragging by with excruciating slowness. Her throat began to close, and her body started trembling with exhaustion and terror.
"Thatâs much better news."
"No, heâs right," Zoro said, he stepped a little closer to Y/N, and she was painfully aware and utterly horrified. "Marines have training. Pirates are easier to kill."
"Shanks used to say not every situation can be solved with violence," Luffy told them.
"Who the hell is Shanks?"
"We donât need to fight. I can talk to them," Luffy shakes his head with a grin, "Pirate to pirate."
Y/N would have laughed at the idea of reasoning with a Pirate hadn't she been in the starters of a hysteria attack.
"That wonât work." Nami said
"Why not?"
"To start, youâre not a pirate."
" Yes, I am."
"No," Nami said looking at Luffy, "You are some stretchy guy in a tattered hat."
"Iâm a different kind of pirate," Luffy stated, optimism practically oozing out of him.
"Pirates are pirates. Thereâs only one kind."
That is true. Pirates are all foul, soulless creatures... another wave of memories flooded her brain. Y/N closed her eyes, willing herself to find some semblance of calm amidst the chaos of her mind. But even in the darkness behind her eyelids, the walls of the box loomed large, a constant reminder of her imprisonment.
But just when she felt herself on the brink of surrender, the top of the box opened forcing Y/N to snap open. Music began to fill her ears, an odd spectacle of dancing... clowns? began to surround them once all the walls of the box were pulled apart.
Y/N, finally being able to breathe properly, watches as people in costumes do flips and tricks around them. She glances at her surroundings. This was a circus. Why were they in a circus? The people on the stats started to clap, Y/N frowned as she watched the tears of fear in some of those people. Isn't a circus supposed to be fun?
"No. No, no, no, no," A man or rather a clown with blue and a red nose, shouting prompting everyone to stop the show. "Stop clapping! No, stop! Itâs all wrong!"
"The spotlight was late. You completely missed my entrance." He motions for the light to go from the four of them to him. Then he turns his attention to the man dressed in a bear costume who is terrified of the clown. "And where, oh, where was the dancing lion?"
"Hey, I know you," Luffy earned the clown's attention. "I saw your wanted poster in Shells Town. Youâre the clown guy. Um, uh⊠Binky, right?"
"Buggy," The clown with blue hair corrected and to Y/N's surprise, he kept going. "Buggy the Clown. Buggy, the Flashy Fool. Buggy, the Genius Jester."
"Wow. You have a lot of names. I bet everyone in the East Blue knows who you are." Luffy said impressed but his words earned a gasp from the audience confusing the four of them.
"What did you just say?" Buggy deadpanned.
Luffy, none the wiser, repeats "Just that everyone knows who you are-"
"Nose?!" Buggy exclaims rushing to clasp Luffy's face in his hand, squeezing. The clown's crew step forward, holding their weapons, looking weirdly intimidating. "Are you making fun of my nose?"
Y/N, despite the dangerous situation, was baffled for a moment. She subtly regards Buggy's nose. Was that actually his real nose?? Oh, it was. Woah.
"Well⊠I wasnât. But now that you mention it, is that thing for real?" Luffy lifts a hand to touch the clown's nose but he quickly slaps it away, making the audience gasp.
"Whatâs real is Iâve been scheming for months," The clown pushes Luffy away, and Y/N who was just behind him manages to catch him. She turns as Buggy stands in front of Nami, "To steal that map from old Axe-Hand MoronâŠ"
"Eh?" He waits for an acknowledgement or reaction from the orange-haired girl but when he realises he is getting none he waves a dismissive hand and turns back to the others. "âŠonly to find out that I was upstaged by four little nobodies, who stole it from right out under my no- No! Itâs in my head now."
"Ah!" Buggy groans with exasperation moving away. "
"Hey, Iâm not a nobody," Luffy said, once again successfully gaining the clown pirate's attention. "Iâm Monkey D. Luffy. And I will be King of the Pirates."
Y/N had to give it to Luffy. His determination was so outstanding that even in such a dire situation it wouldn't break, however, she couldn't decide yet if it was stupidity or courage.
Buggy lets out a laugh, "Oh! Now thatâs funny."
One of his crew members holds up a sign, forcing the audience to laugh. Well, that's depressing, can't imagine being a clown and having to force people to laugh.
Buggy motions for the laughing to halt. He moves, looking in between them as he speaks;
"My bounty poster graces the marquee of every Marine outpost for miles. And my menagerie of outcasts and freaks is the most dreaded pirate crew the East Blue has ever known. I am destined to find the One Piece. And when I do⊠I will be king."
"No, you wonât, âcause Iâm gonna find it first." Luffy contradicted the clown.
It's stupidity, Y/N decided.
"You?" Buggy scoffs, "Donât make me laugh."
One crew member holds the sign again, and the audience laughs but they are soon yelled at to stop.
"I said donât make me laugh!!!"
"All right, listen up. Iâm Roronoa Zoro," Zoro spoke up, loud enough to gather everyone's attention. He turns to face Buggy and his crew. "Drop your weapons now and I may let you live."
Y/N has half a mind to yell at him asking what the fuck he was doing. Did he honestly think he could fight against all of these pirates? He doesn't even have his swords.
Buggy stares for a moment before letting out a mocking laugh. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a celebrity in our midst."Ladies and gentlemen, we have a celebrity in our midst. Too bad I hate sharing the spotlight."
The stage light went from them back to Buggy.
"Now, maybe we should skip right to the finale," The clown pulls out his weapon. A very intimidating metal sharp claws. "My freaks put quite a bit of rehearsal time into this little abduction. And if I canât reward them with that mapâŠ" He moves to stand next to a man with sharp teeth. "I suppose Iâll have to offer them a pound of flesh instead."
Oh, shit. shit this. This is bad. Like BAD bad. Bad enough for her to manipulate her way out of it, but for that she'll need to get the clown alo-
"Wait. Wait." Nami was standing in front of them, looking to make some sort of negotiation with the clown. "What if I have something else to offer you? Something more valuable than the map?"
That seems to gather a newfound interest in the pirate, who looks at nami in expectation.
"What if I give you an entertainer, a singer, the best I've ever heard," Nami said casting a quick glance in her way. Y/N's heart plummeted. No, she couldn't be doing that to her. Her heart sank even lower when Buggy's gaze shifted towards her, his blue eyes gleaming when he caught her form.
"And a new freak for your crew?" Nami continues, forcing the clown to look away. She was slowly moving next to Luffy, "A rare talent. The most spectacular act in all of the East Blue. Besides you, of course."
"Go on."
Nami takes Luffy's hat prompting a shout from the boy, she tosses it up into the air making Luffy use his devil fruit abilities and stretch his arm up high to catch the hat. And then, Nami was gone.
"Go after her," Buggy told one of his crew members who quickly ran after the orange-haired girl. He chuckles, looking at Luffy. He pulls out an apple from his pocket and a knife. "Well, isn't this just interesting?"
Y/N felt a surge of protest rising within her, a desire to shout out against the unfolding situation. Yet, she found herself engulfed in a sense of hopelessness, a feeling all too familiar from her past experiences. She knew well the torment of being confined within the hold of a pirate.
"It's fine," she whispered to herself, trying to muster some semblance of reassurance. I'll⊠I'll be fine. Despite her inner turmoil, she clung to a last resortâa secret move, a tactic she had saved for dire circumstances. All she needed was to find a moment alone with Buggy.
They soon bring a struggling Nami and a part of her is happy they did another part of her is annoyed she sells them out and still fails to escape.
"What did you do? What did you do to their town? You destroyed everything!" Nami exclaimed in anger.
As he ate the apple, Buggy nonchalantly replied, "Not everything. I let âem keep their hands."
The signs were up again and the audience clapped in command.
"Okay," The clown throws away the remains of the apple and puts the knife back into his coat. "Here end the theatrics."
Suddenly, the lights flickered and dimmed until they focused solely on Buggy's figure, casting an eerie glow around him. His voice cut through the darkness with a sharp edge.
"I know one of you has my map," he declared, his tone laced with determination. "And I'm gonna get it back. What was it you said, Rubber Boy? That it was in a safe place?"
The tension in the air heightened as everyone present awaited Buggy's next move.
"Donât look so surprised. Iâve got eyes and ears everywhere," Buggy told the four of them with a smile, "So, please make our guests uncomfortable in the green room."
As two pirates seized Y/N from behind, she instinctively struggled against their grasp, her heart pounding in her chest. Nami too fought against her captors, but Zoro remained passive, seemingly indifferent to their plight. Just as they were about to drag Y/N away, the clown intervened.
"Not her," Buggy's voice commanded, halting the pirates in their tracks. They obediently turned Y/N to face their captain, whose blue eyes bore into her with a curious intensity. He closed the distance between them, his presence looming over her.
"Just for you, beautiful," Buggy addressed her, a smirk playing on his lips, "I'm willing to share my spotlight for a few moments and let you sing for us while my 'freaks' prepare the things for my chat with my stretchy new pal."
"Why would I?" Y/N retorted, summoning whatever semblance of courage she could muster to meet the clown's gaze. Ignoring the pirates that were dragging Luffy to sit with the audience. "I only sing when I have something to sing forâŠ"
"Funny you think you have a choice," Buggy chuckled mischievously, his tone dripping with amusement, the sign was up so, naturally the audience laughed as well. He sauntered over to a high chair, resembling a throne, and settled into it with an air of superiority.
"Well, it's either that," he continued, gesturing towards Y/N, "or off with you. Though," he added with a smirk, "it'll be a shame to harm such a pretty girl like yourself."
His words hung in the air, a thinly veiled threat that left Y/N feeling trapped and vulnerable, caught between compliance and defiance.
Despite the overwhelming intimidation, Y/N took a moment to steady her breathing and gather her resolve. Nami was right about one thing â she was an entertainer, a performer. With that realization, a flicker of determination ignited within her.
With a deep breath, Y/N straightened her posture and let a confident smile grace her lips. She could do this. She could fake her charm, her confidence. After all, she had faced tough crowds before. This was just another performance, albeit under much more dire circumstances.
Y/N flashed a charming grin at Buggy, exuding confidence as the impromptu show began.
"Well, darling," she purred, her voice dripping with charisma, "lucky for you, I happen to have had my heart stomped a few days ago. You don't happen to have a guitar lying around, do you?"
Buggy's grin widened, and with a casual wave of his hand, a guitar was swiftly presented to her. As the rest of the crew dispersed, leaving her alone in the spotlight, Buggy's voice carried a warning tone.
"Don't make me regret giving you a share of my spotlight, sweetheart," he cautioned, his words tinged with a hint of threat.
Y/N meets Buggy's warning with a playful glint in her eye, maintaining her charismatic demeanor.
"Oh, don't you worry, Captain," she replies smoothly, her voice dripping with charm. "I'll make sure to dazzle everyone enough to ensure you shine even brighter. After all, what's a spotlight without a little sparkle, right?"
Without missing a beat, Y/N pivots gracefully, turning her attention to the assembled audience with a grin that belies the tension of the situation. With ease, she addresses them as if they were any other crowd, temporarily forgetting the dire circumstances of their gathering.
"Well, well, well. Looks like we've got ourselves a full house, don't we?" she declares with a playful sparkle in her eyes, her voice projecting warmth and enthusiasm despite the unsettling circumstances.
"Ah, the joys of a heartbreak!" Y/N's grin takes on a mischievous edge as she continues, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"As you may have heard," she begins, her tone dripping with theatrical flair, "some clueless boy managed to break this ol' heart of mine. But fear not, for in the face of heartache, what does a songbird do? Why, she writes a song, of course!"
Pausing for dramatic effect, she lets a playful wink slip before continuing, "Sadly, it seems our heartbreaker won't have the pleasure of hearing it. But don't worry, my captive audience, for you lucky souls get a front-row seat to the grand performance!"
Her words draw a ripple of shy, soft laughter from the crowd, turning this sombre moment into a somewhat of lighthearted affair. Her eyes meet Luffy's browns for a moment, he seems to pay her his all attention.
With a graceful motion, Y/N turns her attention to the guitar, her fingers deftly plucking a few strings. The sound resonates through the room, filling the air with a gentle melody that carries hints of both melancholy and resolve.
" When as a wanderer, your shore I did find,
Adrift, I found refuge in arms so kind,
We braved the tempest, each in our own fights,
You sought fortune in shadows, while I relied on my charms
I danced with the night, whispered secrets to the moon,
You chased after gold, while I sang my tune
We wanted to forget our woes and drown them in our wine
Then one day you vanished, claiming I was not divine,"
As she plays, her gaze flickers between the strings and the captivated audience, her expression a mix of concentration and subtle charisma. Each note she strikes seems to weave a tale of heartache and resilience, drawing the audience deeper into the performance with every strum.
I saw you at your lowest, in your darkest fight
I know the struggles hidden from plain sight
Too bad I'm the love you lost, the bond you breached
Now what'll you do, when I'm gone evermore?"
As Y/N finishes the song, a hush falls over the room, the echoes of her performance lingering in the air like a haunting melody. In that suspended moment, time seems to stand still, every eye in the room fixated on Buggy, waiting for his reaction, well, except for Luffy, he was the only one giving a standing ovation.
"Wooh, yeah!" Luffy claps, a smile on his face as he turns to one of the pirates holding him. "That's my musician,"
Y/N, however, ignore him and turn to Buggy.
Y/N meets his piercing blue gaze, searching for any hint of emotion within them, but finds his expression inscrutable, a mask of unreadable intent. There's a tension in the air, palpable and electric, as the weight of the silence stretches on, leaving everyone on edge.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, Buggy breaks the silence with a slow, deliberate clap, his expression betraying nothing but a hint of amusement. It's a subtle gesture, but it breaks the tension in the room. The sign to clap was up but Y/N has a feeling they would've clapped regardless. It's a moment of relief for Y/N, who can't help but feel a sense of validation wash over her.
"It seems orange-hair was not lying, huh?" Buggy remarks, his tone carrying a hint of sardonic amusement. The cheers stop at his command.
Y/N lets out a forced chuckle, her lips curling into a wry smile as she meets Buggy's gaze.
"Well, what can I say?" she quips with a hint of playful sarcasm, "I did promise not to disappoint, didn't I? And trust me, darling, I always keep my promises, even when it involves serenading a bunch of pirates in a not-so-friendly setting."
Buggy's chuckle sends a shiver down Y/N's spine as he rises from his seat and advances towards her. Y/N fights to conceal the tremor of intimidation that courses through her, maintaining a facade of composure as he leans in to whisper.
"You could make a wonderful addition to my crew," he murmurs, his voice low and tinged with an air of intrigue. âIrreplaceable, even.â
While the idea of joining his crew fills her with trepidation and disgust, she knows better than to outright reject him, especially considering his unpredictable nature. Like most men.
With a steady gaze and a flicker of determination in her eyes, Y/N meets Buggy's gaze, her voice steady as she replies, "Well, Captain, it's certainly a tempting offer. But you'll have to forgive me if I take a moment to weigh my options. After all, I'm not one to jump ship without careful consideration."
Buggy regards her for a moment, then he smiles as he pulls back. His smile sends a shiver down Y/N's spine, but she maintains her facade of composure as he pulls back, granting her a temporary reprieve.
"Alright, I'll give you time to think it overâŠ" he concedes, his tone deceptively genial.
Y/N's heart sinks as she watches him walk over to where Luffy is, a sinking feeling settling in her stomach. Before she can react, two pirates seize her again.
"Until he gives me my map, that is," Buggy adds casually, his words a stark reminder of the precarious position Y/N finds herself in.
As the pirates begin to drag her away, Y/N's heart pounds with a mixture of fear and determination. She casts a fleeting glance back at Luffy, a silent vow forming in her mind to find a way out of this predicament.
Soon, she was being tied down into a chair.
"Fuck you, Nami," Y/N spat out her frustration as soon as the pirates left them alone, her tone tinged with irritation. "Why would you do that?"
Inside her cage, Nami rolled her eyes in response. "It's survival of the fittest out here, Y/N," she retorted, her voice laced with resignation.
Y/N can't help but roll her eyes in return. She knows that in this cutthroat world, everyone looks out for themselves, but she had foolishly hoped for some semblance of a relationship with Nami only to be sorely disappointed.
"The least you could've done was actually manage to actually escape. You sold us in vain." Y/N chastised with a disapproving tsk.
"For what it's worth," Nami glanced towards the entrance of the crew's dressing rooms before skillfully picking the lock of her cage. "I am trying to get us out."
Y/N narrowed her eyes, unsure whether to trust Nami's words. Turning to Zoro, who was bound to a circular board nearby, she asked, "Do you believe her?"
"Don't have much of a choice," Zoro replies with a nonchalant shrug, just as a loud shout from outside makes them all snap their heads towards the entrance. It's Luffy's voice. "Better work faster."
As Y/N tries to free herself from the bounds, she realises that she's worried about Luffy because, despite his exasperating antics and seemingly reckless behaviour, she can't help but feel a pang of worry for him.
The bounds were tight but not enough to cut circulation just tight enough to leave burn marks when she moved them too much which she does.
Feeling the burn of the tight bounds against her skin, Y/N winced but pressed on, determined to free herself.
"That's only hurting you," Nami said sparing Y/N a glance before continuing to pick her lock.
Nami's words of caution brought a moment of pause, but Y/N couldn't afford to let fear hold her back. "I'll be fine,"
Nami rolls her eyes, then she glances at Zoro, he, too was trying to free himself.
 "What?" The boy asks.
Nami continues with her work, "This is my life now."
"You want to trade places?"
"Both of you shut up," There was a rustling sound just making its way to them, "Shit. Someoneâs coming."
Nami stops her work and looks at the entrance. "I need more time. Keep them talking."
"I donât talk." Zoro said, "I hit things."
"I'll do it," Y/N announced.
Seconds later, a pirate with a striking mix of black and white hair and a blue and white square pattern scarf bursts into the room, riding his monocycle with an air of undeniable flair. He comes to a stop right in front of Zoro, his gaze fixed firmly on the bound swordsman.
Y/N, who would have found the scene comical under different circumstances, straightens up, suppressing the urge to laugh. Instead, she puts on her best flirtatious grin and clears her throat, preparing to address the newcomer.
"Hey there, handsome," Y/N begins, her voice dripping with playful charm. "I bet your captain's got you on a tight leash, but do you think you could...?"
"Shut up, whore!" The pirate said not taking his eyes off Zoro.
Y/N's jaw was on the floor. Well, that came out of nowhere.
"I'm not an expert but I'm sure you don't talk to ladies like that," Zoro, ever nonchalant, unexpectedly comes to her defense, much to Y/N's surprise.
The pirate disregards Zoro and instead questions, "Remember me?"
"No. Must be some other homicidal, unicycle-riding clown." Zoro mocks.
Y/N flinches as the pirate with black and white hair delivers a punch to Zoro's stomach.
"I've been thinking about you for years," the pirate hisses, his voice dripping with resentment. "About how you killed my brother."
"I killed a lot of pirates." Zoro deadpanned.
The pirate, named Cabaji, scowls as he begins to recount their past encounter. "My name is Cabaji, and a couple of years back, you hunted us across the Goa Kingdom," he explains, pulling out two knives. ""Followed us for weeks through the swamp lands, day and night, never relenting, like some kind of demon."
The three of them shared a look. A silent understanding between them. This was it, the distraction. Cabaji glances at the two girls as he backs away from Zoro.
"Still not ringing a bell," Zoro remarks casually, prompting Cabaji to throw a knife dangerously close to his head.
"You cut off his head and you stuffed it in a bag, all for a few Berry." Cabaji accuses, his voice heavy with accusation.
Zoro sighs, briefly closing his eyes before conceding, "Okay, that does sound like me."
The air becomes thick with tension as the two men lock gazes, the looming threat of violence hanging between them.
"Let's see if you can keep your head," Cabaji declares, moving to the side of the circular structure and spinning it, taking Zoro along for the ride.
With each knife thrown, Y/N can't help but avert her eyes, unable to witness the imminent danger befalling the swordsman. As minutes tick by and Y/N finally dares to steal a glance at Zoro, she's taken aback by his unwavering composure. Despite the imminent threat of the spinning structure and the barrage of knives, Zoro remains eerily calm, his expression betraying no hint of fear or panic.
Watching him close his eyes and maintain his stoic demeanor in the face of danger, Y/N can't help but feel a surge of admiration mingled with astonishment. It shouldn't surprise her, knowing Zoro's reputation for unshakeable resolve, but somehow it does.
Y/N shifts her gaze to Nami, and in that brief exchange of eye contact, a silent understanding passes between them. She's close to opening the lock.
"You really donât fear death, do you?" Cabaji asks after his tenth throw.
"No," Zoro said as the structure came to a halt, "I just donât fear you."
Cabaji throws yet another knife before approaching Zoro "You know, Iâm gonna enjoy this. As soon as Captain Buggyâs finished with you, youâre mine."
"Uh, tempting as that sounds, Iâm not sticking around." Zoro slowly opens his eyes and focuses on the pirate.
"Really? Got somewhere else to be?"
"Didnât used to think so. But Luffy changed that." Zoro said.
"That simpleton in a straw hat." Cabaji scoffs, "Donât tell me you actually believe in him?"
"I donât need to. He believes in himself." Zoro admits and shrugs, "It rubs off."
As Nami swiftly and silently cuts Y/N's bonds, relief floods through her as she rubs her sore wrists. With newfound freedom, she wastes no time positioning herself behind Cabaji, who is too engrossed in Zoro's words to notice her approach.
"And one more thing."
Cabaji continues to laugh as Zoro warns him.
"Donât turn around."
In a split second, Y/N seizes the opportunity, delivering a powerful punch straight to Cabaji's nose. The force of the blow sends him staggering backwards. With Cabaji momentarily stunned, Zoro takes advantage, freeing one of his arms to grab hold of the pirate's throat, applying pressure with a steely grip while Nami frees his other arm.
"And by the way, you're brother's the whore," Y/N said to the Cabaji just moments before the pirate passed out.
"What's the plan?" Asks Zoro, retreating his swords.
Y/N takes hold of her war fans. "We go for Luffy,"
"Yeah but how?" Zoro turns to Nami, "You do have a plan, right? Thatâs your thing, plans."
"I say we beat the hell out of every clown we see." Nami declares, her eyes flickering between them mischievously as she brandishes her fighting stick.
Y/N chuckles in agreement, elegantly fanning her fans to reveal the gleaming blades within. "Well, isn't that a delightful idea," she quips with a smirk. "I've always had a knack for cutting through the foolery."
With a wink exchanged between Y/N and Zoro, a shared understanding passing between them, Zoro chuckles before they both follow Nami out.
As they navigate through the chaos of the circus tent, the trio encounters a shower of fools intent on blocking them. With a seamless display of skill and coordination, they engage the freaks in a fight.
Nami leads the charge, her fighting sticks a blur as she deflects incoming blows and delivers precise strikes. Each swing is calculated, each movement fluid and efficient as she exploits weaknesses in the clown's defences.
Beside her, Zoro moves with the grace of a great swordsman, his swords lethal as he cuts through the ranks of clowns with unmatched precision. His strikes are powerful and decisive, each blow landing with devastating force as he clears a path forward.
And Y/N adds her own flair to the fray, her fans flashing in the dim light of the tent as she gracefully dances between pirates. With a flick of her wrist, she spreads the fans, revealing the razor-sharp blades concealed within. Each movement is deliberate, and calculated, as she gracefully weaves through the chaos of the fight effortlessly dispatching any clown foolish enough to challenge her.
As they finally reach the main stage, Y/N's heart lurches at the sight before her. There, in the center of the stage, Luffy struggles against the confines of a tank filled with water. Memories flood Y/N's mind, images of a similar tank from her past flashing before her eyes with haunting clarity.
She tries to hold back a shudder as the familiar dread grips her, threatening to overwhelm her senses. The sight of Luffy, trapped and struggling, serves as a painful reminder, stirring emotions that she had long tried to bury but with a deep breath, Y/N pushes aside the memories, focusing instead on the task at hand.
With a swift and precise throw, Nami hurls her fighting stick towards the tank, the impact causing the glass to crack and splinter. Y/N watches with bated breath as the cracks spiderweb across the surface, spreading like veins of ice.
"Where are my freaks?" Buggy exclaimed looking around the circus.
Zoro appears on the other end, holding his two swords. "They're not coming,"
Finally, the tank gave way with a resounding crash. As the glass shatters, water gushes forth in a torrent, cascading to the ground in a rush of freedom letting Luffy out and soaking Buggy to the ground.
After he inhales some air, Luffy exhales the map. Ugh!
"My map!" Buggy crawls to the map.
Luffy, on the other hand, "My hat!"
Y/N turned her gaze towards the laughing clown, he took hold of the map while Luffy was hugging his hat. With careful steps, the trio approaches him.
"You want a piece of me?" The clown challenges them once he notices their approach. "Letâs see what you got."
Without hesitation, Zoro lunges forward, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. But to their astonishment, the clown doesn't fall. Instead, he splits into pieces, his laughter ringing out triumphantly as he effortlessly reassembles himself.
"Surprise, shithead!" Buggy crows with glee, his laughter echoing through the chaos.
Y/N, Zoro and Nami gather together as Buggy manically laughing starts to split himself into more pieces.
"What the hell?" Y/N yells as Buggy's body parts begin to fly around them.
Zoro's brow furrows in frustration as he watches the spectacle. "How do I slice a guy who's already in pieces?"
"This is not part of the plan," Nami grits her teeth, holding tightly to her fighting stick.
With a grunt of frustration, Y/N pushes away a stray hand that reaches for her, her mind racing as she tries to formulate a strategy amidst the chaos. "Yeah, no shit."
Despite their best efforts, the trio find themselves quickly overwhelmed by the onslaught of flying body parts. Zoro is slammed against the tank, Nami is hurled off the stage, and Y/N is sent crashing into a pile of crates, pain shooting through her side as she struggles to regain her footing amidst the chaos.
"Fuck," She hisses, placing a hand on the sore spot. She braces herself up watching as Buggy pulls out his metallic claws and slices himself again.
"Chop-Chop Cannon!!" His hands and arms start to rotate while his legs start to fly about in chaos.
Luffy does his best to dodge and punch and actually manages to reach Buggy but is soon pushed off him. The claws though, do manage to get Luffy's straw hat.
Buggy laughs and when Luffy goes to recollect his hat he is tripped and pushed to the ground.
Y/N's heart pounds with panic as she watches Buggy's hand find its way to Luffy's throat, threatening to choke the life out of him. In a desperate bid to save Luffy, she scans the area for anything that could aid them in their fight.
Then, like a bolt of lightning, inspiration strikes. With a quick glance at the crates nearby, Y/N's mind races with a plan.
"Luffy, Nami. The crates!" Y/N shouts, her voice cutting through the chaos as she rushes to one and flings it open.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Luffy manages to break free from Buggy's grasp, tearing the hand off his throat and hurling it towards Nami. Acting on instinct, Nami uses her fighting stick to send Buggy's hand hurtling towards the open crate, which Y/N swiftly closes, trapping the appendage inside.
One by one, the four of them began to trap the clown's body parts inside the boxes until only his head, hands and feet were all he had.
"What have you done to me?"
Luffy grins, "Cut you down to size."
"The One Piece will never be yours." Buggy all but growls in frustration. "Youâre just a sad, lonely little boy wearing another manâs hat!"
"I know exactly who I am," Luffy puts on his straw hat and with his usual smile he turns to Buggy. "I am Monkey D. Luffy. And Iâm gonna be King of the Pirates."
Y/N chuckles to herself. He really has an indomitable spirit.
Luffy stretches both his hands back, "Gum GumâŠ
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! No, no, no! Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait." Buggy pleads but Luffy is already spitting out.
"Bazooka!!"
And with a scream, Buggy's head is launched off the circus.
With a beaming smile, Luffy picks up the map and strides to the center of the stage, where Zoro, Y/N, and Nami are gathering. He extends the map towards the orange-haired girl, his expression filled with unwavering confidence.
"You're giving this to me?" Nami asks, her disbelief barely concealed beneath her facade of composure.
Luffy's grin widens. "You're the navigator," he replies simply, his faith in her abilities unwavering.
"Let's get out of this clown show," Zoro interjects, his tone tinged with impatience as he eagerly anticipates their departure.
Y/N nods in agreement, her hands deftly stowing away her fans back into her waistline. "Yeah, I've had my fill of this place,"
But Luffy's focus remains unwavering as he turns to address the others, his gaze sweeping over the captive audience.
"Still, there's one more thing we have to do," he declares, his eyes meeting those of his companions. "We have to set them free."
With determined hearts, they set about freeing the captive audience, their collective resolve aimed at bringing an end to the clown's tyranny.
"Are you our new captors?" an old man asks Luffy, his voice tinged with confusion.
Luffy tilts his head, a hint of bemusement in his expression. "What?"
"Well, you're a pirate, aren't you?" the old man persists, struggling to comprehend the act of kindness from someone associated with piracy.
"I'm a different kind of pirate," Luffy replies simply, his words carrying a weight of sincerity that belies his reputation.
Y/N shares a knowing glance with Luffy as she frees a child from his shackles, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Despite the odds, Luffy's unwavering determination and genuine compassion are beginning to win her over, gradually eroding her skepticism and replacing it with a newfound sense of admiration.
As they make their way through the town, the sun casts its warm rays upon the streets, a stark contrast to the wreckage left in the wake of Buggy's crew. Despite the devastation, a sense of relief fills the air as the townsfolk emerge from their hiding places, grateful to be free from the clutches of the circus from hell.
As Y/N walks alongside her companions towards their ship, she is greeted by a stream of townspeople, each one expressing their gratitude and admiration for her performance. Some approach her with heartfelt thanks, while others request the pleasure of hearing her sing again.
"We don't have much," the mayor of the town approaches them, offering a basket of food, "but please, take this as a token of our... of our gratitude."
Luffy shakes his head, a generous smile on his face. "You need it more than we do,"
Y/N wiggles her fingers in farewell as she follows Nami, Luffy, and Zoro to make their way back to their ship. As they approach, she notices Luffy darting back towards the mayor, returning for a piece of bread with a cheerful grin.
Once aboard the small ship, Y/N breathes a sigh of relief as she realizes all her belongings are still intact. With a sense of purpose, she joins Nami and Luffy in preparing the ship for their journey ahead.
Waving one last time to the shouting townsfolk, Y/N can't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over her. The warm farewells of the townsfolk echo in her ears, a reminder of the impact they've had on the lives of others.
A few minutes into their journey, Y/N sits next to Zoro with a tired sigh. The swordsman's eyes are closed and his arms are crossed, she gazes at the sundown, a pretty hue surrounding them- when was the last time she enjoyed a sunny day? Right with Cygnus, that feels like a lifetime ago...
"Hey, you need help with that?" Nami's voice cuts through the serenity, pulling Y/N's attention away from the mesmerizing sunset.
Luffy's puzzled frown prompts her to tense up momentarily as Nami reaches for his straw hat. But instead of causing harm, Nami begins to carefully repair it, her skilled hands weaving the threads with practised precision. Y/N can't help but reconsider her latest thoughts of the navigator as she watches her work.
"Why did you freak out?" Zoro's voice startles her out of her thoughts.
Y/N turns to face the boy, but his eyes are still closed. " What? When did I-"
"Back inside of the box," Zoro said, his voice ever raspy but silent as if he knew she didn't want the others to hear.
"Oh," Y/N blinks, she didn't think he'd notice that, yeah sure she was freaking out but they all were, weren't they? She clears her throat, trying to mask her discomfort as she reaches for her guitar, seeking comfort in its familiar presence. "It's nothing special, really."
"What does 'not again' mean then?" Zoro asks turning his head and opening his eyes to look at her.
Y/N fakes a grin, "I'm just not a fan of enclosed spaces, that's all, hot shot,"
Zoro stares at her for a moment and Y/N stares back. Some of the light of the day cast shadows on his face. She can't tell if he's convinced by her excuse or not. She hopes he is.
Thankfully her silent wishes are answered, Zoro closes his eyes again and turns to face forward. "You better not make any noise, I'm trying to rest,"
Y/N flashes Zoro a mischievous grin in response to his warning. "Noise? Oh, you have it all wrong, hot shot," she quips, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm. "I don't make noise, I compose symphonies of sound that would make even the sea itself dance to my tune but Don't worry, hot shot, I'll keep it down⊠unless you want to hear a little tune to lull you to sleep, I promise to find a lullaby you enjoy."
Zoro's lips twitch with amusement, and Y/N can't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.
"You fixed it," Y/N's head turns to see Luffy taking his hands from Nami with a smile. "Thanks."
"Well, you said it was your treasure, right?"
As Nami rises and heads towards the cabin, Y/N meets her gaze, and in that silent exchange, they share a moment of understanding. Any lingering tension between them dissipates, replaced by mutual respect and perhaps some camaraderie.
"Is every day gonna be this crazy with you?" Zoro's question breaks the silence, drawing Y/N's attention.
Luffy joins them, settling in front of them with a thoughtful expression. "Shanks always said⊠that if the path to what you want seems too easy⊠then you're on the wrong path."
Y/N nods in agreement, impressed by the insight of this mysterious Shanks character.
"Smart guy," she remarks, her curiosity piqued by the mention of someone who clearly holds significance in Luffy's life.
Zoro, ever the stoic swordsman, opens his eyes and nods in quiet contemplation. "Yeah, this Shanks guy sounds all right,"
Luffy's face breaks into a wide grin as he rises to his feet, his excitement palpable. With boundless energy, he dashes to the bow of the ship, his voice ringing out with unbridled enthusiasm.
"Next stop, the Grand Line!" he shouts, pointing a finger ahead towards the vast expanse of ocean that stretches out before them.
Shaking her head in amusement, Y/N feels a foreign surge of excitement coursing through her veins. With Luffy at the helm, she knows that her days with him, as long as they may be, will be anything but dull. The question is, will they be dangerous or not.
A/N: I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Lots of love, be safe.

The morning rays of sunshine began to flash through the opening of the bedroom window. I had been awake for just a bit now and I was staring at my bed mate, Luffy. I only call him my bed mate because the nature of our relationship is unknown. I often find myself wrapped up in his arms while just lounging around the deck, feathery kisses after battles while he tells me heâs glad Iâm safe, and often ending our nights in the same bed. While thinking about the situationship with my captain I noticed the rays of sunshine radiating off his face and making him glow. He was drooling and snoring, but I found him quite beautiful right now. His presence was comforting. I traced his scar that adorned his face and then brushed some of his hair out of his face. He stirred just a bit, but ultimately stayed fast asleep. However, I felt his hands squeeze on my hips and bring me just slightly closer. Sanji called for breakfast and I began to hear commotion all around the ship.
âLuffy, itâs time for breakfast.â I ruffled his hair and tried to move out of the bed. All I heard from Luffy was a groan and then he sat up on the bed. He let out a big yawn then stretched his arms toward the door using his devil fruit. He ended up right in front of the door and he turned to me with a smile then walked out the door to go eat breakfast.
âLUFFY, WHERE ARE YOUR PANTS?!â Nami and Sanji yelled at the straw hat captain. He had left the bedroom in just his boxers. I was entering the kitchen not long after with the clothes that were left behind by Luffy. He let out a big hearty laugh and put on his clothes before Sanji handed him a plate of food.
That was the last breakfast we had as a full crew before this battle. We landed on this island not long after that morning. Why was I thinking about this now? Why were old memories popping up in my vision? Oh yeah, pretty sure Iâm dying.
And right now, I feel like my life is flashing by.
â(Y/N)!!â
I snapped out of my dazed thoughts by the voice of someone crying out my name. I turned my head to face the direction of where the voice was coming from. As my vision focused, I could make out Nami and Chopper running toward me. Both had injuries of their own, but they seemed more worried about my own. As they reached me laying on the ground, Nami fell to her knees next to my head while Chopper began to take medical supplies out of his bag.Â
â(y/n), Iâm so glad we found you. Iâm sorry we left you to fight alone. Iâm so sorry youâre hurt.â Nami kept apologizing as she grabbed my hand and began rubbing circles on the back.
âItâs not your fault, Nami. Donât worry, Iâm alright. This was because of my own decisions.â I was able to squeeze Namiâs hand a bit. I did not have a lot of strength left, but I did what I could to try and reassure her.
âChopper, How are their injuries?â Nami looked at our ship doctor who was attending to my wounds. Although I couldnât see Chopper, I knew my injuries were worse than they looked.
âWe need to get them back to the ship so I can treat them better. I donât have enough supplies in my bag to treat all the serious injuries.â Chopper told Nami seriously while patching up what could be taken care of. â(y/n), do you think you are able to move at all?â Chopper had moved into my line of sight.Â
âI think I can muster up some strength too, but only for a little bit though.â With the help of Nami, I moved carefully to sit up. Nami maneuvered herself to get under my arm to help me rise to my feet. I would have fallen back down if it wasnât for Nami holding me carefully. I felt so dizzy and weak, but Chopper and Nami were moving with me slowly and carefully to get back to the ship.Â
âOi! Nami, Chopper! (y/n) what happened?â Usopp was back on the ship and ran to our sides to help us.
âUsopp, help Nami get (y/n) to my medical bay. They have serious injuries I need to treat immediately.â Chopper had barked at Usopp approaching.Â
âAye Aye Doc!â Usopp took up the spot under my other arm and together he and Nami directed me to the infirmary. I could no longer hold my own and I felt my body losing the strength it had left and I just felt myself go limp losing consciousness.
The deck was nice and warm. The sun was shining with minimal cloud coverage. It was quiet too. Wait, it was too quiet. I moved from my spot on the deck and began to search around for the rest of the crew. I began in the crows nest looking for Zoro, but he was not there. He was usually training that's odd. I left the crows nest and headed towards a spot on the deck I would usually catch Robin reading, but she wasnât there. Where are they? I am being pranked?
âHaha very funny yall you can come out now.â I waited to see if I would sense or hear any movement on board, but it was silent. I felt alone. I walked toward the kitchen to see if I would find Sanji or Luffy, but as soon as I opened the door there was nothing. It was empty, lifeless, and cold. Where was everyone?
I miss my friends.
I retreated back to my bunk and began to cry. All I wanted was to no longer be alone. It hurts so much to be lonely. I wish I could just hear someone or feel someone. Was I asking too much?
â(y/n), where are you?â I heard Luffyâs voice and I scrambled to get out the door to search for him. I stumbled onto the deck and grabbed the side rail and yelled for Luffy, but no answer.
â(y/n) please come back to me. To us.â I looked all around, up and down, why couldnât I find him? âI canât lose you too.â I heard the break in Luffyâs voice.Â
Then it all clicked in my head, Iâm dying.Â
âPlease give me one chance to talk to Luffy, the crew. I canât just go like this, I canât just die like this. I need to thank everyone and tell them I love them. Tell Luffy that he is my everything and I love him more than anything. Let me say goodbye.â I clenched my hands in my lap and closed my eyes hoping that things would change. Hoping I would get another chance.
â(y/n)?â I felt so much pain surge through my body all at once. I could feel someone holding my hand and I knew it was Luffy. I also knew it was him who said my name.
âIâm sorry Luffy.â I managed to rasp out an apology. I tried to look at him, but I couldnât see. I think Iâve lost my sight.Â
âLuffy, I canât promise you that. I am afraid I am already dying. Chopper canât fix me anymore. My journey as a Straw Hat ends here.â I took in a breath and continued to speak slowly. âIâm thankful for the crew being my family, for accepting me. I know as you all continue on your journeyâs youâll succeed. I will be watching and rooting for you to be the king of the pirates. Luffy, thank you for being my captain. Iâve never got to say it, but I love you. I wanted you to know that I loved you more than anything.â By the end of my talk, I was crying. I could feel my own tears streaming down my face, and I could still feel his tears.âPlease tell everyone this isnât goodbye, just see you later.â
âChopper said you might not make it and I got so upset. I canât lose you too. Promise me, (y/n), you arenât gonna die on me?â I felt tears hitting my arm and I felt my heart drop knowing Luffy was crying. I remember learning he asked Ace to promise he would never die then Luffy held him bleeding out in his arms.
âI will. And (y/n) I love you too. I will complete our journeyâs for the both of us. So watch me.â Luffy sounded so broken, but his will and words came out strong. As he was finishing his own declaration, I could feel it. My chance was up, this is the end. I felt my body getting weaker and I put a faint smile on my face.
âThank you.â

laughing my ass up at the thought of kuina being appointed zoros guardian angel, because if she can't be the greatest swordfighter in the world he HAS to do it and her just constantly cursing and breaking all the overworldly laws to keep him alive despite all of what he does constantly haha. Just constantly being like.. I'll keep you alive for now, but once you die I'll kill you myself twice more for all of this.
in the beginning kuina thinks that it canât be that bad. he was a hotheaded kid, but in the years since her death heâs come a long way â both in skills and maturity. he leaves the dojo dead set on making his mark on the world. on hunting down dracule mihawk (oh my god is he crazy?? heâs seventeen, talented, but not ready). he immediately gets lost (great), becomes a pirate hunter, makes a name for himself, and is he serious? letting the marines tie him to a post for three weeks? she has her work cut out for her, thatâs undeniable, but surely itâll only get easier from here. THEN he meets luffy

Y/N POVâŠÂ
âThere, that should hold you. Wouldnât want you to try that power of yours again, do we?â Monet giggled as she finished chaining my legs together, her voice dripping with mockery.
I could barely catch my breath, still reeling from Vergoâs earlier hit. The pain radiated from my chest to the rest of my body, making it hard to focus. Every inhale felt like fire, and my vision blurred slightly as I tried to steady myself.
"This territory belongs to Joker. I canât let just anybody walk freely around here, can I?" Vergoâs voice cut through the haze, cold and authoritative as he now stood in front of the cage where the others were held.
"Uh, Joker?" Luffy asked, his confusion evident as he glanced over at Law.
Law sighed, his head hanging low so that no one could see the turmoil in his expression. âHeâs one of the Seven Warlords, Donquixote Doflamingo.â
"Doflamingo?" I grunted, still struggling to shake off the lingering pain from Vergoâs attack.
âDonquixote Doflamingo... who was that again?â Luffy asked, looking around at all of us, clearly trying to piece together the name with a face.
We all stared at him, almost in disbelief, before Smoker broke the silence. âHe was in the battle of Marineford, Straw Hat.â
Luffyâs face scrunched up in concentration, his mind working to recall the memory. Then, like a lightbulb flickering on, recognition sparked in his eyes. "Oh, that guy! The bird dude, right?"
"Heâs not someone you take lightly,â Law interjected, his tone serious and laced with a warning.
Luffyâs easygoing expression shifted slightly, his eyes narrowing as he remembered more. I could see the gears turning in his head, realizing that this wasnât just another enemyâthey were dealing with someone truly dangerous.
My chest tightened with the effort to breathe, and I tried to focus on their conversation. Doflamingo... the name was familiar, but the pain clouded my thoughts. All I could think about was how much trouble we were in if someone like him was involved. Sanji, Zoro, someone⊠we need you now more than ever.
Sanjiâs PovâŠ
"Damn it, these slimes wonât give up!" I cursed, sprinting alongside Brook, Zoro, and Kinemon. The icy wind bit at my skin, but I pushed forward, the urgency of the situation making it impossible to slow down. We needed to reach the lab, and fast.
"How long until we get to the lab?" I shouted over the sound of our footsteps pounding against the ground.
"Not sure, but we better pick up the pace," Zoro replied, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of more trouble.
Just then, a massive chunk of slime flew through the air, landing right in front of us with a sickening splat. "Damn it!" I growled, skidding to a halt as the toxic mass blocked our path.
"Thereâs no one in the lake anymore!" Zoro called out, noticing the absence of any bodies of water to slow the slime down.
"All the pieces are forming together again, and itâs getting rather large," Brook added, his voice tense. The slime was growing, reforming into a massive, looming threat.
"It doesnât matter! Just keep running until we get to the lab!" I barked, the desperation in my voice evident. We couldnât afford to let this thing catch us, not with Y/N and the others still out there.
"Right, Iâm on my way, MOMONOSUKE!" Kinemon shouted, his resolve clear as he charged ahead, determined to find his son.
As we continued our frantic dash, my mind briefly drifted to Y/N. I could only hope she was okay, wherever she was. The thought of her in danger fueled my determination. I clenched my fists, ready to take on whatever came our way. We just had to reach the labâand pray we werenât too late.
Y/N POVâŠÂ
As I continued struggling with the chains binding me, every movement sent a jolt of pain through my already aching body. My legs being bound now just added another layer of frustration. âShrorororo,â a chilling laugh echoed through the room.
âShit,â I muttered under my breath, recognizing that laugh immediately.
âThis is Caesar, are you there, Monet?â The voice crackled through the transponder snail. Monet moved swiftly to answer, leaving me in a panic.
âI retrieved the children without difficulty,â Monet replied coolly.
My eyes widened as I glanced over at the cage. Luffy was still struggling against his restraints, his face contorted with the effort. Robin caught my gaze, and I mouthed, "Nami, Usopp?" Worry gnawed at me. Where were they?
Caesar continued, âDid you prepare Smileyâs food as I asked?â
âI followed your instructions exactly,â Monet assured him. âThe marines are still at the front, and we can transfer the Straw Hats as you see fit.â She turned her gaze toward us, a sinister smile playing on her lips. âAnd the video transponder snails are on standby outside, as well as in here.â
âVideo transponder snails?â I echoed in disbelief, my eyes darting around the room. Sure enough, there were snails positioned near Smokeyâjust enough to hide Vergo but fully capture us. âThis is not looking good,â I whispered to myself. Smokey was also struggling to break free, the tension in the room becoming unbearable.
âSo, when my Smiley arrives, we can broadcast the whole event for all our associates to see,â Caesar declared with a smug tone.
âExcellent!â Caesarâs voice oozed with satisfaction. âConnect me to all our receivers.â
The video transponder snail flashed, indicating that we were now live for all to see. My heart pounded in my chest as I desperately worked to loosen the chains around my wrists. âI gotta get these chains off to at least do something,â I muttered, my fingers inching closer to the bracelet on my left wrist. âAlmost thereâŠâ
Just then, Caesarâs voice interrupted my thoughts. âA fine hello to our brokers out there. Apologies for the short notice, but youâre about to witness something extraordinary. I found the perfect opportunity for this demonstration. This is a poison gas weapon I developed, like the one you saw four years ago, but with some new features. At any rate, I have some uninvited guestsâŠâ The transponder snailâs lens focused on both Smoker and me, the bright light momentarily blinding me. âThese guests will aid me in my live test today. If this is something you guys enjoy, Iâm happy to make a deal.â
Caesar stepped into the light, his sinister presence filling the room. To my right, Luffy, Robin, Franky, Law, and even Tashigi were whispering among themselves. Whatever it was, they were planning something. I only hoped it would work.
Suddenly, Caesar grabbed a fistful of my hair, yanking me forward. I struggled to steady myself, the pain shooting through my scalp as I came face to face with him. âWe also have a surprise guestâthe Straw Hats, along with the Princess.â
âAgain, regretting King giving me that title,â I thought bitterly.
I tried to move, but Caesarâs grip was firm and unrelenting. âSheâs quite the looker, isnât she?â he sneered, a disgusting smile spreading across his face.
I mustered all the strength I could, spitting in his face. âYeah, Y/N!â Luffy cheered, his voice filled with defiance.
Caesar recoiled in disgust, shoving me back onto the sofa with a sneer. âI canât wait till you die,â he hissed.
I smirked, wiping the spit from my lips. âCareful, Caesar. My captain doesnât take threats lightly.â
âDonât you speak to him like that!â Monet snapped, her eyes blazing with fury as she stepped in front of me.
âOh, is someone still mad about earlier?â I mocked, feigning a pout.
Monetâs rage boiled over, and she slapped me with her wing. The impact was sharp, but it was exactly what I needed. Her attack had given me just enough movement to make contact with my left wrist.
âBingo,â I thought, feeling the bracelet activate. Now, I just had to play the part. I groaned, pretending that her slap had done more damage than it actually had, hoping to keep her fooled.
Kidd POVâŠÂ
I lounged in my chair, my gaze locked onto Y/Nâs updated wanted poster. The new image portrayed you with a more defined physique, a slimmer face, and your hair pulled back neatly. It was a far cry from the image I remembered, and you looked undeniably captivating. My fingers traced the edges of your face on the poster, a possessive yearning in my chest.
The receiver crackled to life, and the screen flickered with the live broadcast from Punk Hazard. The broadcast mentioned unwanted guests and poison gas, but I barely registered the details.Â
Killer walked in, his eyes landing on me. âStill obsessing over her wanted poster?â he asked, his tone a mix of surprise and mockery.
âItâs not just about the poster,â I said, smirking. âSheâs changed so much. Itâs impossible not to be captivated.â
However, what caught my attention was the sight of you, chained and struggling. My heart tightened as I watched you fight against your restraints.
âDamn it, itâs HER!â I exclaimed, rising to my feet. My eyes burned with intensity as I saw Caesar grab your hair, yanking you forward roughly.
âSheâs quite the looker, isnât she?â Caesar commented, his eyes running over your bound form with a vile smirk. I could see the struggle in your eyes, the way you fought to keep your composure despite the chains. Just then I saw Y/N spit at Caesar.Â
âYouâve really gotten bold, havenât you?â I muttered under my breath, a dark satisfaction coursing through me. âSpitting in his face... sheâs definitely not the same person we knew. Sheâs become something more fierce, more... intriguing.â
Killerâs hand clenched into a fist at the sight of your defiance. âWe have to do something, Kidd. We canât just stand here and let them hurt her.â
I raised a hand to signal him to wait. âLetâs see how this plays out. Our âPrincessâ has certainly changed over the years. Sheâs impressively stubborn.â
Watching you on the screen, struggling against Caesarâs attempts to dominate you, I couldnât help but feel a surge of admiration mixed with a possessive need. Your resilience was striking, and despite the danger, you managed to hold your ground with a fire that was impossible to ignore.
Y/N POV..Â
Minutes passed, and I was still trying to catch my breath. The only good thing about this was that I had finally managed to make contact with my bracelet. The downside was that I had to keep up the act, pretending to struggle until Monet and Vergo left the room. I could feel my heart pounding, but I forced myself to stay calm.
"Do you need any milk?" Monet asked, her voice saccharine as she played the gracious host for Vergo.
"No, cream and sugar is fine," Vergo replied, sipping his coffee casually. "You know, Monet, you don't have to wait on me hand and foot."
I couldnât help but let out a strained giggle, causing Monet to glance over at me, clearly irritated. "Wow, Monet," I struggled to say between breaths, "thatâs the second man to reject you in less than 30 minutes. Must be a new record."
Monetâs eyes narrowed, her feathers rustling as she tried to contain her anger. "Do you have a death wish, princess?" Smoker muttered from his position, watching the situation unfold.
"No," I replied quietly, "but I have a plan..."
"Y/N!" Lawâs voice called out from the cage, panic lacing his tone. "Y/N, are you okay? Talk to me!"
I turned my head, gasping for air but managing a smile for him. "Iâm fine, Law," I reassured him, trying to convey confidence through my words. Then, I glanced at Luffy, checking to see if he had come up with a plan. The reassuring smile he sent my way told me all I needed to knowâthe plan was in motion.
"I'm talking to you!" Monet snapped, yanking on the chains that bound me, her patience clearly running thin.
I looked up at her, feigning weakness. "You know, Monet," I said, my voice laced with mockery, "better start listening to your master. You wouldnât want to make him mad."
Monetâs grip tightened for a moment, and I could see the rage in her eyes. But just as she was about to retaliate, Caesarâs voice cut through the tension.
"Monet, don't do anything. Not yet, at least," Caesar ordered, a smirk playing on his lips.
I chuckled softly as Monet dropped me back onto the sofa, her anger palpable. I knew I had pushed her buttons, but that was exactly what I needed to do. Every second I kept them distracted was a second closer to our escape.
"How much longer until the experiment, Caesar?" Vergo asked, his tone calm but expectant.
"Soon, Vergo, very soon," Caesar replied, making his way over to him. "By the way, can't you do something about your men? I almost panicked seeing Smoker here!" Caesar's voice had a hint of frustration as he glanced at Smoker, who was struggling against his chains.
Just then, Caesar shifted his attention to Law. "Oh, Law, you look quite fetching in chains," he mocked, a sinister grin spreading across his face. "The little deal we struck worked great for me!"
"What deal?" I muttered under my breath, my curiosity piqued but my concern for Law overwhelming.
Law glared at Caesar, the anger clear in his eyes. "But donât you worry about your heart, Law; Vergo is taking good care of it." As if on cue, Vergo pulled out a small clear box containing a heart, the same type of box Smokerâs heart was encased in. Vergo squeezed the box, and Law cried out in agony.
"LAW!" I screamed, my voice filled with desperation. "Leave him alone!" I struggled harder against my chains, my frustration building. I was almost ready to break free, but I knew it would be a three-against-one fight, and theyâd likely just restrain me again.
"Traffy!" Luffy yelled, concern evident in his voice. "Crap! You okay?"
Law slowly regained his breath, his eyes narrowing at Caesar. "You didnât think Monet would hear your whole conversation about killing me, did you?" Caesar sneered, laughing at Lawâs predicament.
"Youâre right," Law replied, smirking despite the pain. "I should have been more wary, but I never thought someone as smart as her would work with a dumbass like you."
I couldnât help but giggle at Law's comment, but the moment was short-lived as Vergo squeezed the heart again, causing Law to cry out in agony once more.
"Law! Please!" I yelled, helplessness washing over me.
"Don't worry, princess," Law managed to say between labored breaths, "Iâm... fine..."
Just then, Monet returned, informing Caesar that the outside video feed was up and running. A projector was pulled down, displaying the outside of the lab on a large screen. The image showed a giant candy.
"Candy?" I muttered, confusion mixing with dread.
"This is bad," Smoker said, his voice grim.
Caesar began to explain to the brokers, and to us, about his latest experiment, which he called the "Land of the Dead." As he spoke, my attention was drawn back to the screen. Something was moving near the candy.
"Wait! What is that?" I said, leaning forward.
The feed zoomed in, and my heart skipped a beat. It was Sanji, Zoro, Brook, and the Samurai!
"Sanji... he's okay," I muttered, relief flooding through me as my eyes grew glossy. Seeing them gave me a glimmer of hope.
But that hope was short-lived as Caesar began to shed tears over the giant slime on the screen. "Really? Youâre crying over a damn slime!" I yelled, my patience wearing thin. I didnât care anymore about holding back.
Caesar, now distracted, turned to me, anger flaring in his eyes as the transponder snail focused on me. "You insolent brat!" he yelled, his hand reaching out to grab my chains once more.
Just then, the slime on the screenâ"Smiley" as Caesar called itâate the candy, causing Caesar to drop me again. "That's a good boy, good Smiley. Now it's complete! Not a living soul can escape now! Shrorororoo!" he cackled.
I watched in horror, my heart pounding as I prayed Sanji, Brook, and Zoro would make it to the lab in time. The situation was spiraling out of control, and all I could do was hope that our crew could survive whatever came next.
Sanji POVâŠÂ
"How long do we gotta keep running!" I shouted, glancing back at the giant blob still following us. The frustration was boiling over. "I'm tired!" Brook cried out, his voice filled with exhaustion. It felt like weâd been running in circles with no sign of that damn lab.
"Just keep pushing!" Zoro yelled, his voice sharp with determination.
"Wait! Why is there a giant candy in the middle?" Brook asked, his voice laced with confusion.
The slime halted for a moment, and we all took in the sight. "Smiley!" a voice called out from a distance. "So thatâs him, huh!" I muttered, still running, trying to keep as much distance from that thing as possible.
But then, the sound of your voice pierced through the chaos, stopping me dead in my tracks. "Curly-brow, letâs go!" Zoro shouted, but my attention was locked on you, Y/N. Chained and bound, struggling to free yourself, the bravado still evident in your eyes despite the bruises and cuts marking your skin.
"Really? Youâre crying over a damn slime!" you yelled, your voice dripping with irritation.
"You insolent brat!" Caesar appeared on the screen, grabbing you roughly by the chains. My heart skipped a beat, my blood boiling at the sight.
"Y/N!" I yelled, panic lacing my voice as Brook, Zoro, and Kin'emon finally noticed the live feed.
But before I could react, the slime moved closer and swallowed the candy whole. The thing began to grow in size, its mass expanding ominously.
"Crap, we gotta move!" Zoro snapped, snapping me out of my daze.
I clenched my fists, torn between running for our lives and wanting to jump through the screen to get to you. "Just hang on, Y/N! Weâre coming for you!" I growled, my resolve hardening.
"We canât do anything if we get caught here!" Zoro barked, his voice cutting through my thoughts.
"But she'sâ"
"I know!" Zoro interrupted, his eyes meeting mine. "But we wonât be able to save her if we get taken out now. We need to get to that lab, regroup, and then weâll make those bastards pay."
I grit my teeth, knowing he was right but hating every second of it. I took one last look at the screen, memorizing your face, the pain and defiance that radiated from you, before forcing myself to turn away.
"Let's move!" I commanded, my voice low and fierce. We sprinted away from the growing slime, determination fueling every step.
Y/N, just hold on. I swear, I wonât let them get away with this.
 Y/N POV..Â
We all watched as the broadcast continued. "Man, that is one big frog," Luffy commented, breaking me from my focus on the screen. Turning back, I saw Smiley fully transformed. "This is really bad," I muttered, anxiety creeping in as I watched the events unfold.
Smiley suddenly melted, emitting a thick purple gas. One of Caesar's underlings got caught in the crossfire, screaming in terror as they turned to stone, their body petrified by the poisonous gas. "Master!!" they cried, desperate for help, but it was too late. The gas was spreading, transforming anyone it touched.
"This is pure madness," Smoker growled as the purple gas continued to expand, a look of grim determination on his face.
The broadcast shifted back to Zoro, Sanji, Brook, and the samurai. "It's Zoro!" Luffy exclaimed, his voice filled with relief.
"Would you look at that? What are they doing out there?" Franky added, sounding both impressed and concerned.
"Are those friends of yours, Straw Hat?" Caesar sneered, his eyes glinting with malice. "Which explains why theyâre so hard to kill."
"Don't you dare touch them!" I yelled, my anger boiling over.
"It'll be a matter of minutes until this island is turned into the land of the dead," Caesar declared, his voice dripping with satisfaction.
Without warning, Caesar pulled down a lever, and in an instant, Luffy, Robin, Franky, Law, and Tashigi were cast outside, dangling precariously from above.
"Luffy!" I screamed, fear gripping my heart. "Bastard, leave them alone!" I yelled again, struggling against my chains.
"Tashigi!" Smoker roared, his eyes wide with horror as he watched his comrade helplessly dangle in the air.
"Y/N!" Luffy and Law shouted in unison, their voices filled with desperation. But they were too far away, suspended high in the air, out of reach.
"Caesar!" I growled through gritted teeth.
"Let's go, Monet, Vergo. We have much to discuss. Shororororo!" Caesar laughed maniacally as he, Monet, and Vergo left the room, leaving me and Smoker behind.
"Well, Princess, got any ideas?" Smoker asked, his voice strained as he continued to struggle against his chains.
"Yeah, I do, actually," I replied with a smirk. Slowly, I began to break the binds on my wrists, feeling the tension ease as the chains fell away. Next, I freed my legs, and finally, my arms. The chains clattered to the ground, pooling at my feet.
"I needed them to leave so I could do that," I said, rubbing my wrists, feeling the relief of being unbound.
"You could have done that earlier!" Smoker snapped, still wrestling with his own restraints.
"And face a 3-on-1 assault and get tied up again? Come on, even I knew that was a bad idea," I retorted, clenching my left hand to activate the ring and lifting my right leg to activate the anklet. I winced as pain shot through my still-injured leg but pushed it aside. Making my way towards the wall, I kicked it with my right leg, busting it open and creating a hole big enough for both of us to fit through.
"Why would you do that? Now weâll both die!" Smoker shouted, his voice tinged with disbelief.
The cold chill of the outside air sent goosebumps across my skin, my skirt flailing in the wind. I turned to Smoker and grabbed him firmly. "Hey, Smokey! Looks like weâre heading for a ride," I said, lifting my left leg and sprinting out of the hole. With a powerful leap, I began skywalking towards the cage where the others were held.
"Hey, look!" one of the G-5 soldiers shouted, "Itâs Smokey! And Straw Hatâs carrying him?!"
"Alright, Smokey, looks like this is your stop," I said, clenching my right hand to activate the ring once more. "Princess, I swear, donât you dareâ" Smoker started, but I cut him off.
"Incoming!" I yelled and launched Smoker towards the cage. He crashed into it, creating a good-sized hole, perfect for us to escape through.
I relaxed both my hands and right leg, landing safely on top of the cage. Peeking my head inside, I smiled when Luffyâs eyes met mine. "Y/N! Youâre okay!" he shouted, relief washing over his face.
Law looked up quickly, his eyes locking onto mine, a mixture of concern and determination in his gaze. "Robin, Franky, you guys okay too?" I asked, scanning the group.
"Never better! Glad you could join us," Franky replied with his usual bravado.
"And miss out on all the fun? Never," I grinned. "Besides, I still want to give that bird woman a piece of my mind. But first things first, letâs get you out of these chains."
With that, I pulled my head out of the hole and made it bigger, just enough for everyone to escape. As I finished freeing the others, I couldnât help but glance at the bracelet once more, my fingers grazing it lightly. âKing said it was a symbol of protection, a way to always remember where I came from,â I explained, my voice soft with the memory. âAnd to keep fighting, no matter what.â
Franky gave a nod of approval. âSounds like one hell of a friend.â
Just as I turned to Law, I saw he had already freed himself. Before I could react, he grabbed my hand, pulling me down and flipping me onto the ground with him now above me, his eyes flashing with a mix of concern and irritation. âYou really donât know when to quit, do you? Iâve had to sit through so much because you canât keep that sharp tongue of yours in check,â Law murmured, his voice low and edged with frustration.
I met his gaze, unbothered by his words, a playful smile curling on my lips. âLaw, if you wanted to pin me down, you couldâve at least found us a bed. Though, I suppose the floor has its own... possibilities.â
His eyes narrowed slightly, the tension between us crackling in the air. âYouâre impossible,â he muttered, but his voice had softened, almost as if he was struggling to keep up the stern facade.
I leaned up just a bit, our faces mere inches apart. âAnd yet, here you are,â I whispered, my tone teasing, âenjoying every minute of it.â Law's grip loosened, and he slowly let go of my wrists. He got up, turning his attention to the crew, his voice all business now. âWeâre wasting time. Franky, can you light that ship on fire?â
Franky gave a confident nod. âSure thing!â With a quick movement, he unleashed his Franky Fireball, and flames erupted, engulfing the ship. Smoke began to fill the cage, making all of us cough as it thickened around us.
âTraffy, didnât think this one through, did you?â I muttered between coughs, the smoke irritating my lungs.
Law's sharp eyes caught sight of Tashigi and Smoker still in the cage with us. âYouâve seen too much. What should I do? Youâre both at my mercy.â
Smoker remained defiant. âStop wasting our time, then! If you want to kill us, thenââ
Before he could finish, Law flicked his fingers, and in an instant, he switched Tashigi and Smoker back to their original bodies.
âHe switched us back, Smoker!â Tashigi exclaimed with relief, but as soon as she realized her shirt was too exposed and her legs were awkwardly spread apart, her face turned crimson. âAHHHH!â she screamed, scrambling to cover herself.
Smoker, exasperated, barked at her, âYouâre a Marine, quit screaming like a schoolgirl!â
I couldnât resist the urge to mess with Smoker a bit. Getting down to his level, I tilted my head and smirked. âNow, Smokey,â I purred, toying with the collar of his shirt, âdo you really have to be so mean to poor Tashigi?â
Smokerâs reaction was immediate; he began to struggle, his cheeks turning a deep shade of red. Seeing him flustered only made me want to push it further. âCanât you be a good admiral and be a little kinder?â I teased, my smirk growing as I slowly let go of his collar.
Before Smoker could respond, Luffy, who had been watching the whole interaction, burst out laughing, clutching his sides. âGahaha! Smokeyâs got a soft spot!â he howled, doubling over with laughter. âY/N, you really got him good!â
Tashigi and Smoker began to argue, their voices raised as they discussed why they should help us, even though Tashigi was adamant about protecting the children. Law interjected, cutting through their argument with a cool, calculating tone. âYou should listen to her. Frankly, I have no obligations to let you live, White Hunter. However, if you make it out of here and manage to ruin Vergoâs reputation, that serves my end. One catch, thoughâI need you to forget about hearing me and Joker. Itâs not a petty request; itâs a condition. You give me that, and I give you your life. Sound like a deal?â
Without waiting for a response, Law broke Tashigiâs and Smokerâs chains. As soon as the chains fell, Luffy swung open the cageâs chained fence and bounded out. âWait, that moron doesnât even know the plan yet!â Law said, irritation clear in his voice.
Robin, unable to suppress her amusement, started explaining to us, âLuffy will do something pretty reckless if your back is turned.â
Franky nodded in agreement. âThatâs our captain.â
I gave a small nod, acknowledging the truth in her words. Just then, Franky left to go check on the Sunny.
âHey, Traffy! Come on!â Luffy called, waving energetically.
I was about to leave the cage when I glanced back at Law. He finally looked up, his irritation momentarily softened by the sight of my smile. I sent him a small, teasing grin and a giggle before clenching my left hand and jumping into the air.
As I ascended, I felt the familiar rush of power coursing through me. My feet found their balance in the air as I floated towards Luffy. I couldnât help but feel a sense of exhilaration, knowing that despite the chaos, we were making progress.
âComing, Luffy!â I called out as I glided toward him.Â
Sanji POV..Â
The gas was spreading faster than anticipated. My mind was laser-focused on one thing: Y/N. I wasnât about to let myself die without fulfilling my duty to protect and save them. That bastard Caesar was going to pay dearly for ever thinking about laying a hand on my Y/N.
Suddenly, we spotted a dragon that could help us escape the poison, but it was moving way too fast.
"We just need to catch it, guys!" Zoro shouted, determination blazing in his eyes.
"Damn it, I donât think I can run anymore!" I said, clutching at my chest. "Namiâs body isnât built for this kind of abuse, and my chestâI mean her chestâ"
In a split-second decision, I squeezed Nami's chest. To my surprise, it gave me a sudden burst of speed. I managed to close the distance and grab hold of the dragon.
"If it was that easy, why didnât you do that in the first place?!" Zoro yelled, clearly frustrated.
Zoro, Brook, and Kinemon scrambled to grab hold of the dragon, but it was thrashing, trying to shake us off.
"I could do with a little less turbulence, please!" Brook shouted, desperately holding onto the dragonâs tail.
Brook lost his grip and was about to fall, but at the last second, Brownbeard, Usopp, and Nami caught him.
"What are you guys doing here?!" Zoro asked, astonished.
"Iâve got a mountain of questions, but right now, weâve got to make it to that lab before weâre done for!" Nami said, urgency in her voice.
"The dragon is starting to slow down!" I yelled over the roar of the wind.
Brownbeard offered us a ride on his back. Zoro and Kinemon climbed on, while I clung to the dragonâs tail. The dragon, sensing its own peril, bit down hard on Brownbeardâs tail, giving him a burst of energy.
"Hang on, Y/N! Iâm coming!" I shouted into the chaos, my heart racing with the need to save them.
Y/N POV..Â
Law managed to teleport us inside the lab, and the banging on the door outside was relentless. Soldiers were begging to be let in, their desperate voices echoing through the corridor. I gripped the hilt of my sword, bracing myself for what might come.
"You think... he's out there, Robin?" I asked, my voice tinged with worry as I looked over at her, hoping against hope that Sanji and the others would be there when the door opened.
"I donât know, Y/N," Robin replied, her eyes softening with concern. "We can only hope so."
A dull ache began to form in my chest, a mix of fear and longing. Law started opening the doors to let the soldiers in, and my eyes scanned the entrance anxiously, searching for any sign of Sanji or the rest of the crew. But as the last soldier stumbled in, there was still no sign of them.
"Come on, Sanji, hurry," I muttered under my breath, my heart pounding faster with each passing second.
As Law began to close the doors, panic surged through me. "Law, wait?!" I called out, desperation gripping me.
"Traffy, wait! My crew isn't here yet!" Luffy shouted, sharing the same frantic urgency.
I couldn't just stand there. I was about to make my way to the rails, ready to head down and find them myself, when Law grabbed hold of my wrists, stopping me in my tracks.
"Law, please, I need to go," I pleaded, my voice breaking as I struggled against his grip. The thought of losing them, of losing Sanji, was too much to bear.
But Law didn't let go. Instead, he pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around me, holding me tightly as I battled against the tears that were now threatening to spill over.
"Law, please," I whispered, my voice barely audible as the door finally closed with a resounding thud, sealing us inside.
I couldnât hold it in anymore. The tears came, and I began to cry, the weight of everything crashing down on me. Law didnât say anything; he just gently caressed my back, offering silent comfort as I trembled in his arms. Just then, a loud crash echoed through the lab, followed by a gust of cold wind. I pulled away from Lawâs embrace slightly and saw Sanji and the rest of the crew had made it! Relief surged through me, but it was quickly followed by a whirlwind of emotionsâanger, fear, and overwhelming relief.
Luffy started laughing, and I found myself laughing through the tears, wiping them away as best I could. But the G-5 men quickly moved to block the hole that the crew had made, trying to keep the deadly gas from seeping in.
"They really know how to make an entrance, donât they?" Robin remarked with a small smile.
"Looks like they managed to block it for now," I said, still catching my breath. "But who knows how long itâll last."
Just then, the G-5 men armed themselves, pointing their guns at my crew. Without hesitation, I drew my sword, pressing the red gem that ignited a blazing fire along the blade. My fury was undeniable.
"Donât you dare lay a hand on them!" I commanded, my voice fierce and resolute as I leaped down from the railing, landing in front of the G-5 men.
They turned their weapons toward me, but I held my ground, flames crackling from my sword. "Anybody tries anything with them, and I wonât hesitate to burn you to ashes. Got that?!" I growled, and the G-5 men visibly trembled, lowering their guns.
"Traffy, switch us back!" Nami demanded, eager to return to her own body.
Sanji muttered a disappointed "no" under his breath, clearly upset at the thought of losing his temporary experience. But with a wave of Lawâs hand, they were reverted back to their original bodies.
"Iâm me again!" Nami exclaimed with relief, while Sanji began to sulk, mourning the end of his fleeting dream.
I turned around, deactivating the red gem on my sword, the flames extinguishing as I dropped it to the ground for a moment. My emotions were all over the placeârelief, anger, fearâand I couldnât hold them back any longer.
"Sanji!" I yelled, my voice sharp and trembling with all the pent-up emotion. He looked up, startled, his usual cocky grin faltering.
"Y/N! Look, itâs not what you think!" he stammered, his voice tinged with guilt and uncertainty.
I stepped forward, my heart pounding in my chest, and smacked him on the head, frustration and relief mingling in my heart. "You idiot," I muttered as he stumbled. But before he could fall, I caught him, pulling him close and holding him tightly, as if I feared he would disappear if I let go.
Tears welled up again, blurring my vision as I clung to him, burying my face in his chest. "I thought⊠I thought you were deadâŠ" I whispered, my voice cracking as I grasped his coat tightly, unable to let go. "I thought I lost youâŠ"
Sanjiâs arms wrapped around me, his touch gentle yet firm, grounding me in the midst of my storm of emotions. He looked down at me, his eyes filled with concern and something deeperâsomething that made my heart ache even more.
"Youâve been through a lot today, havenât you?" he said softly, his voice laced with guilt and tenderness. "Look at you⊠Youâre all bruised and battered." His hand gently traced the bruises on my arms, his touch featherlight as if he was afraid of causing me more pain.
I could feel the tears welling up again, and I tried to hold them back, but it was impossible. The dam broke, and I began to cry in his arms, the fear, the relief, the exhaustion all crashing down on me at once.
"Iâm sorry, Y/N," he whispered, his voice shaking slightly. "I never wanted to put you through this⊠I never wanted you to get hurt."
"You donât get it," I choked out, my tears soaking into his coat. "I was so scared, Sanji. I couldnât bear the thought of losing you⊠not like thisâŠ"
He held me closer, his hand stroking my hair as I sobbed into his chest. "Iâm right here," he whispered, his voice soft and soothing. "Iâm not going anywhere. I promise."

đĄđ€đđ đđ đ€đȘđ© đ€đ đđđđ«đđŁ. (đ€đ„đĄđ!đĄđȘđđđź đ đđđą!đ§đđđđđ§)
đđźđŁđ€đ„đšđđš: upon joining luffyâs crew after he saved your life he started to feel a sense of need to protect you more than the rest of the crew members with how being with you can make him feel like heâs been âlocked out of heaven for too longâ
đđđ§đŁđđŁđ: slight cursing, opla spoilers (ep 2), mention of abuse, protective luffy, buggy being perverted toward the reader, best captain luffy
đđ¶đđ°đčđźđ¶đșđČđż; I changed up the episode a bit for the reader to fit into the story and for the sake of the story
Fluttering my eyes open feeling someone shaking my shoulders.
It slowly opened my eyes and it was luffy smiling at me I noticed we were in some type of cargo box, I wasnât the only person that was waking up the rest of the crew was too.
Zoro groaned out mumbling something about his swords and Nami looked around asking about her navigation gear.
suddenly luffy felt up on the top of his head.
âPhew they didnât take my hatâ he praised out
Nami rolled her eyes at that and made a sarcastic remark
âdammit we lost the mapâ she said getting up as luffy helped me to my feet in a flash hitting his heat on the cradle in the process and so did I
âouchâ I mumbled out, luffy caressed my head patting it slightly while answering back Nami
âno we didnât..itâs in a safe placeâ he whispered out looking down and rubbing his stomach
Nami grimaced at that looking over at Zoro who was punching the cradle
âhey! Stop thatâ she whispered yelled out
âwhat Iâm tryna find a way outâ
âWeâve been captured we need a planâ
âI donât need a plan. I just need to beat the hell out of every marine I see.â
Luffy interfered stopping both of them from having a further argument explaining that we were captured by pirates not marines.
âGreat thatâs much better newsâ I mumbled out rubbing my forehead from the serious migraine Iâm about to have
Zoro started back with his mumbling about fighting these pirates when he gets to them but Luffy stopped him to it.
âWe donât need to fight them..we just need to talk to them..pirate to pirateâ he announced out
âthat wonât workâ Nami spoke
âWhy not?â
âWell for one youâre not a pirate!â
âYes I amâ
âNo your not your just some starchy guy in a tattered hatâ
âIâm a different kind of pirateâ
âNo your not pirates are piratesâ
Right on cue the cradle top has been opened and the cradle bottom infront of us had dropped down revealing flashing lights and circus music.
We carefully stepped out, luffy instinctively grabbing a hold of my wrist while slowly walking out watching the performance of the circus dancers with his big wide smile.
I carefully inspected my surroundings, flinching a bit when a person dressed up as an animal blew fire right infront of my face
Once the performance was over he was holding my wrist with his while clapping along with the âaudienceâ that were screaming and clapping with joy.
Nami slapped his hands slightly signaling him to stop clapping.
âNo, No, No..Stop clapping itâs all wrong!â A clown had said making his way into the center of the tent
âSpotlight was late, you completely missed my entranceâ he angrily said as the spotlight then moved onto him on cue
âWhere and oh where was the dancing..lionâ he asked a man dressed up as something Iâm guessing was a animal
âHey.. I know you, I saw your wanted poster in shellâs town, your the clown guyâ luffy spoke gaining the clowns attention as he looked over at us
âUhm,uh..â Luffy looked over at me giving me the âwhatâs his nameâ look
âBinky..â I said slightly unsure of my answer
âyeah, Binky rightâ
âBuggy..Iâm buggy the clownâ Buggy said slowly walking over towards us giving me a stare
âBuggy the flashy fool..Buggy the genius Jesterâ
âWow you have a lot of names..I bet everyone in the east blue knows who you areâ Luffy voiced out amazed by the clown
The atmosphere then went silent..and then gasp where heard throughout the tent.
That smile the clown guy once had turned upside down as he looked back at luffy
âWhat did you just say?â He slowly asked out
âWas that everyone in the east blue knows-â
âNOSE?!â buggy yelled out storming over to luffy and grabbing up his face, shouting
âAre you making fun of my noseâ
âWell.. I wasnât but now that you mention it, is that thing real?â Luffy muffled out from the right grip the clown had on his nose
He then tried to touch it but buggy smacked his hand away leaving the people in the âaudienceâ gasping at this act
âWhat real is Iâve been scheming for months.. to steal that map from that old axe handed moronâ buggy said forcefully pushing luffys face out his hands and walking and carefully watching us.
Heâs eye landed on luffys hand holding my wrist and giggled out
â..only to find out that I was up staged by three little nobodies right up under my nos-â He stopped himself yelling out
âhey..Iâm not a nobody Iâm Monkey D luffy and one day Iâm gonna be king of the piratesâ Luffy said
The clowned laughed out at his remark along with the âaudienceâ
He then began talking about his boring crew and his boring bounty poster and how it is his destiny to become pirate king
Blah blah blah
âNo you wonât cause Iâm gonna find it firstâ luffy then argued back
âDonât make me laughâ he then slickly said
Everyone started to laugh
âI SAID DONâTâ
âenough with these games, Iâm rorona zoro, the pirate hunterâ zoro said
wtf.. does he want to get us killed
At that point I just ignored everything zoro said for the sake of myself to not get a heart attack from the way knives were starting to point at us
âIf I canât offer them the map then at least I can offer them a pound of fleshâ buggy said smiling down at us flashing the knives sticking out of his knuckles
âWait wait!â Nami interjected
âWhat if I can offer you something valuableâ
âsomething more valuable than the map?â
âWhat if I give you a new freak for your crew?â
â a rare talent, most spectacular act in all of the east blue beside you of courseâ she then said slightly moving closer to luffy and he only smiled along
âGo on..â
She then sneakily backed up slowly next to luffy and grabbed his straw hat tossing it in the air and making a run for it
That bitch
âHey!â Luffy yelled using his free hand to stretch up and grab his straw hat
âGet herâ yelled the clown to his crew mate
They ran and in the next minute they brought her right back in struggling in there grips
âwhat did you do to the town? You destroyed everything!â She said yelling at the clown in which he only chuckled
âNot eveything.. I let them keep there handsâ he said snacking on something he took out his pocket as everyone started to applause again
âNow onto my mapâ
âWhat was it you said rubber boy.. that it was in somewhere safeâ
Luffy looked over at me surprised
âDonât be surprised I got eyes and ears everywhereâ he jokes out
âSo please make our guest uncomfortable in the green room.. but please leave our pretty couple here out hereâ he snicked looking at me dead in the eyes too
I could feel luffyâs grip tighten more in my wrist
âI am gonna have a chat with my new stretchy pal, and have a audience with itâ he said peering over at luffy but still watching you
He had signaled his crew mates to grab luffy
They had all grabbed luffy pushing him into a board while locking his down onto it and stretching out his limps onto it.
Buggy grabbed me up in a tight hold as he pushed me down on a chair infront of luffy, locking me on it.
âMOREâ buggy signaled out to the person that was stretching out luffyâs limps as luffy screamed out loud at the contact
âI want you to think of this as a artistic exerciseâ buggy expressed out to calm down luffy
âBecause pain leads to artâ
âAnd art reveals the truthâ
What the actual fuck
I looked back over at luffy worried as he only smiled out at buggyâs words
âBut thereâs only one truth in this exerciseâ
âWhereâ
âIsâ
âMyâ
âMap..â
âTruthfully..Iâm kinda hungryâ luffy expressed out
Phew.. that was close
âDonât circus have cotton candy?â
I nearly laughed
âWhat would you possible need the map for?â Buggy questioned out
Meanwhile I was trying looking around to find a way to escape without causing much of a distraction, I tired moving around my hand but nothing would work.
Whole luffy was distracting buggy I was trying to think of where I put my lock picket that I stole from alvidas office the day me and my older brother Koby escaped.
âWhat makes a boy wants to grow up and become and pirate?..who are you trying to empressâ
âA loverâ I froze feeling buggy gaze go right back on to me
Shit
I acted normal looking around anywhere but his eyes, rubbing my hands together to try to drag out the lock picket that was tucked in my shoulder band
âAn absent parentâ
âOr was it a false idolâ he said looking back over at luffy
Phew that was close
Minutes of concentration and wrist rubbing the pick locket had slides down into my palms, looking back up now I saw buggy playing with luffyâs straw hat still questioning him
I then put my attention back onto the pick locket and was trying to pick the lock.
âStench him until he breaks..â
God no.
âYouâve made us your prisoner and taking our town hostageâ the man begged
âMaybe youâd prefer it if I threw one of your constituents on the rack insteadâ buggy said looking around the audience while throwing the straw hat to the side
âHey kidâ he then said grabbing a kid from the audience and shoving him into the center of the tent
âBoogie Iâm warning youâ luffy warned out
âReally, now thatâs a laughâ
âI said thatâs a laughâ he then said making everyone give back some fake ass laugh
Struggling some more I finally pick it and freed my arms, luckily my legs where tied up and in the moment luffy freed himself from the robes they had tied him up to.
âPut him downâ I then said making my way next to luffy as the audience gasp at what was going on infront of them
âBut heâs having such a goodâ
âYes the best buggyâ bugged mocked pulling up the kids face into a fake smile giggling
âGum-gumâŠâ
â..pistolâ
Right when luffy punched his head it fell of his body and landed in someoneâs hand in the audience.. screams erupted and yells
âWell, weâll looks like we have something else in common..â buggy said turning his head around in the person lap
What fuckery have we gotten ourselves into
His head then attached itself back onto his body and his hands loosen off the kid as the kid ran back to his mother.
âYou ate a devil fruitâ
âThatâs right the chop chop fruitâ
âSo you can slice me and dice me and I can always put myself back together againâ he then said spreading out his limps to showcase this gruesome power of his
âWant to see what else I can doâ he whispered out
Oh no
Luffy and I looked right at each other in awe
When we looked back at him his wrist was gone and gasped out, just then luffy felt a tap on his shoulder and then a sleeping bomb was squeezed right into our faces. The hand punched luffys right into the face as we both dropped to the floor
..
My eyes fluttered open hearing gasps and water leaking
I tried to move my body and found it hard to do so, thatâs when I fully opened my eyes squinting to adjust to the bright circus light and looking around to see that once again I was tied up.
But what was infront of me was even more horrifying it was luffy in a glass box that was now being filled slowly with water with luffy slowly banging on the glass door.
âLuffy!â I screamed out watching the water drip down onto his hair
He slowly tries to get up still banging, grunting in pain.
âLet him go!â I screamed out at the mad man that was next to me giggling
He laughed out grabbing me up by my tied arms, pulling me by hair.
I screamed out kneeing him in the groin as he groaned out and kicking him hard in the head, in which his head fell off and re attached back onto his body.
This fucking clown man
âOoh looks like we got a fighter on our handsâ he laughed out still keeping his tight grip on my hair
He then looked over to luffy noticing his struggle
âDonât bother its seawaterâ he called out
âHardly seems fairâ
â all those wonderful powers rendered useless from a few splashesâ the clown sighed out loosening his grip and bit but still holding on
âLet me goâ I grumped out trying to escape his grasp
âStop moving will youâ he said pushing me on the floor with force as two of his crew mates picked me up and held onto my arms
âOf course you could always give me my map..if you donât wanna die alone in this tankâ he giggled out kneeling down to luffys level in the tank
âMy crew..â luffy muttered out looking over at me for a brief second
âYour crew? You mean the ones that abandoned youâ buggy laughed out loud
âJust like shanks didâ
âOh did that make you sad?â He mocked
I grunted trying to move out there grasp but they were too tight ugh
âMy crew will save meâ luffy mumbled out
âyour only chance is to give me back my map, and if you do, ..I may have a very special place on my crew for youâ buggy offered
Donât do it luffy
Luffy had slowly started to rise up groaning in pain as buggy followed along getting up too
âNeverâ luffy argued out
âWhy notâ buggy yelled out banging his hands on the glass tank and yelling out in pain
âYour a outcast just like the rest of us a freak, scorned and abandonedâ he emphasized
âJoin me and youâll be with the person who will become the king the piratesâ
âI will find the one piece and become the king of piratesâ luffy said
âYou canât make people smile just like you canât make people happy..Iâll never give you that mapâ luffy said in determination
âWell then.. I guess itâs curtains for youâ buggy smiled out menacingly turning the pipe making more splashes of water come out but more faster and harder
âLuffy, Noâ I screamed out watching luffy drop down as I tried pushing myself out of there grips
âYou now the price you the price you have to payâ buggy let out as luffy tapped on the glass pointing to somewhere as buggy looked over to where
It was Nami as she then threw her bo staff at the glass tank and it cracked a little, taking this distraction I butted my head against one of the men and kicked the other in there groin
Side kicking the one that I head butted and giving the other a knee to his face watching them both drop down in pain.
By that time the glass tank broke as I ran over to luffy that was spitting out water on the ground and now the map.
I kneeled beside him grabbing up his face and while asking if heâs okay
âIâm fineâ he rasped out trying to breathe in air
âMy map..â buggy called out looking at the map on the floor
Luffys focus then shifted to this straw hat a few feet from him
âMy hat..â he rasped out dragging me with him and he crawled out to his hat putting it on his head
As the clown groaned it map laughing out loud
âYou want a piece of meâ the clown laughed watching zoro try to slice him
âSurprise shithead!â
He then started dismembering his whole body moving them all in the air in circular motion as luffy held me in his grasp leaning on the pole
We watched as zoro and Nami tired fighting off the limps that was floating around them
Luffy slowly pulled us both up as Nami and zoro fell into the audience area
âAh.., would you look at thatâ buggy Said putting himself back together noticing me and luffy now standing up
âSomebody escaped my tank of doom and my freaksâ he said looking over at me
âWell Iâll be back to finish you off..right after I tear apart your sad excuse for a crewâ he yelled out at us
âYou can dump seawater on me and Iâll let it slide.. but donât you ever threaten my friendsâ luffy said slowly pulling out his arms
âSo you want to die first.. be my guestâ he then said now dismembering his body AGAIN
âChop chop..â he then began with his body parts chomping towards us as luffy and I attacked and kicked them out of the way with luffy tackling buggy
And buggy using his knife hand and aiming it towards luffyâs hat, pinning it on the wooden pole as luffy gasped out racing after it but was met with his hand that swept him on the floor and started to strangle him.
I raced over to help him but he used his other hand and dropped me to my feet pulling my hair
âNami the cratesâ luffy yelled out getting back to his feet as pulled off the moving hand off his neck and threw it with Nami using her bo stick to throw it into the crates
âY/n go!â Luffy called out with me forcefully pulling the other hand out my hair and throwing it to Nami with her slamming the other hand in the crates
The clown began throwing more body parts at us with us throwing them all in the pile of crates
âWhat have you done to me..â he cried out
âCut you down to size..â
âYouâll never find that treasure, youâre just a sad little boy wearing another manâs hat..â he cried out some more in furry
âIâm not a nobody, Iâm monkey d luffy and one day Iâm gonna become the king of the pirateâ luffy cheered out
âGum gum..â
âBazookaâ luffy then said throwing luffy out the tent and somewhere in the air
His hands grabbed my wrist one again making his way over to the map on the floor and picking it up as he handed it over to Nami.
âYouâre giving this to me..â
âYour the navigatorâ luffy smiled out back at her
âLetâs get out of this clown showâ Zoro said starting to walk away
âThereâs still one more thing we have to doâ luffy then said stopping him from walking further
We then went and freed the the people in the âaudienceâ untying there ankles.
When we finished as we where making our way out the tent and back onto the boat they had stopped us giving luffy a cradle filled with food
âWe donât have much but please do take this as a token of our gratitudeâ the old man said gesturing for luffy to take it
âYou need it more than we doâ Luffy then said smiling back at him turning his heels and walking away but stop in a few distance
âWell..â
âMaybe a littleâ he said grabbing a piece of meat out of the cradle and running back to catch up to us and grabbing back my wrist heading onto the ship with everyone else appalling us and giving us thank youâs

Y/n the Vampire Pirate has a crush on Zoro!
Summery-In which Y/n agrees to join the Straw Hat Pirates because she saw a certain green haired man.
Warnings-cursing, blood, VAMPIRE!PIRATE!Reader, Fluff
A/n- this is my first time writing on tumblr, so please be kind! Also if you want to check out my other stories, my Wattpad is GirlWhoWrites09, thanks for reading!
Blood ran down her chin, as she sucked the blood of the enemy who tried to attack her. She groaned in satisfaction, as she throws her head back, with closed eyes. "I haven't eaten in days" she thought to herself. She honestly couldn't remember when the last time she ate was.
"Hey!" A voiced yelled out, causing her eyebrows to fur together in confusion. "Hey you!" Whoever it was again. The girl let out sort of a angry growl as she looked up at the boy who was shouting at her. "Who are you?" She asked, quite angerly. Y/n let go of the, now dead, man, and stood up, placing her hands on her hips.
"I'm Monkey D. Luffy! And I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" 'Luffy' yelled once more. Y/n tilted her head and looked at Luffy.
"'King of the Pirates'? Kid, I don't wanna burst your bubble, and no offense, but that's nearly impossible." She stated. Luffy just laughed, causing Y/n to have a ick mark on her face. "I'm serious kid!" Y/n shouted. "I've been searching for the one piece for years!" Obviously this kid doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. I've been around for hundreds of years and yet I've never found that stupid One Piece yet! "Anyways, what the hell did you need me for? To get on my nerves?"
Luffy, who had tears in his eyes, now calmed down from his laughing fit. "I want you to join my crew!" He exclaimed. "I saw your moves and I got to say they're pretty cool!" Luffy said with a big smile on his face. Suddenly, four other people walked up behind the Straw Hat Pirate. A girl with orange hair, a guy with yellow hair, a guy with brow hair, and--a man with green hair. Y/n blushed at the sight of him. He's--so handsome! Y/n thought as she practically drooled over him. He carried three swords with him, and had a dark green band tired around his head.
Unfortunately, Y/n had to decline this offer. "Uh, no thanks." Y/n said, a she began to walk away. Not like she wanted to join anyways. She had her own adventures that needed to be taken care of. "Hey! Wait!" Luffy yelled chasing after her. "Come on! Just think about it!"
"I said no!" Y/n said, slapping the pirate upside the head. "You don't even know who I am!" She crossed her arms in anger, stopping herself from attacking this poor boy. "Oww" luffy mumbled, rubbing his head. "What if we treated her to a drink instead of begging?" The green haired man suggested. "And you can talk about it there." He said. Luffy then smiled his big smile again. "Hey! Great idea Zoro!" So his name is Zoro? And he's in this boy's crew, huh? "Hm, Fine." Y/n agreed.
Y/n couldn't help but to stare at the green haired man named Zoro. Especially how much hotter he was when he took off that dark green band off. There was just something about him. "Who are you staring at?" Luffy asked, taking a bite of his apple. "Wait- are you staring at Zoro?" He asked a little too loudly. Y/n clenched her teeth together, causing her fangs to stick out. She shoved the rest of the boy's apple in his mouth, in attempts to shut him up. "Oh!" Exclaimed the orange haired girl name Nami. "We've been meaning to ask--Who are you?" Y/n smiled to herself and stood up from her seat.
"I'm Y/n L/n, the Vampire Pirate!" She exclaimed, placing a booted foot on her chair. Luffy eyes widened when he heard the word 'Pirate'. Zoro scoffed saying "There's no such thing as a vampire." Y/n blushed at his words--more like at him..? "Well there is! And that's me!"
"That's perfect!" Shouted Luffy. "Please join my crew!" He was practically begging at this point. Y/n bit her lip thinking to herself. "Hm, are all of you in this 'crew'?" And by 'all of you' she meant Zoro. Everyone nodded their heads. "He's our captain." Zoro said. "F-Fine." She muttered, sitting back down. Luffy cheered out of happiness. Another member of his crew!
Y/n watched as Zoro sat on the edge of the boat, looking out to the waters. She she fidgeted with her fingers, debating on wether or not she wanted to go out and talk to him. "Are you just going to stand there? Or do you want to join me?" He asked. Y/n looked around, seeing if he was talking to someone else, but there wasn't anyone else there. Y/n gave a shakey sigh and walked up to the ledge he sat on. "Hi." She chuckled, looking at up him. He looked so handsome looking out into the sea like that. "I-I like your hair. I've never seen anyone with green hair. And I've been around for a long time." She said, after a minute of silence. Zoro chuckled and looked towards her. "Thanks." He said, looking into her eyes. "I like your eyes. Never seen anyone with red eyes."
Y/n blushed at his complement, and looked down at her hands. Zoro slid over, and patted the spot next to him, inviting the vampire to sit next to him. She looked at him with her mouth opened a little before climbing onto the ledge. He then put an arm around her shoulder. Her blush didn't go away, infact she got even more redder. Zoro chuckled once more at the state the girl was in.
The Straw Hat Pirates had now set sail out in the ocean! With another member, they set off to the grand line looking for the One Piece!

So my goal for this year is to get back into writing again. Several things last year kinda of made me realize that the fact that I have trouble with writing isn't not a me problem. It is just how writing is. And that I should give it a try again. So I am going to give it a more serious try. Now the problem of what to fucking write.
Sure I could finish the WIP from years ago but I am not really in that fandom anymore. Maybe one day I will pick it up again. But instead I am just going to write down some ideas here. From one my notebook of fanfic ideas. I should find my other one that has more fic ideas in it.
In no particular order lets go.
Percy De Rolo being pen pals with Anne Riply- I always imagine that the bit of Percy life that we saw in the campaign/show was the cleaner version of the events. I am full conspiracy theory that Percy was closer to Riply before murders. It never really made since that the Briarwoods just somehow got a dinner invitation to a very influenational noble family like the DeRolo's. It makes sense that they planned on how to inflitrate. Corrupting a tree from inside. The betrayel of incredibly smart Percy who feels left out of the family. He isn't the heir, he isn't particulary worldly, or physically strong. He is the smart one. Enter Anne who at first is just humoring then goes 'oh shit' he is smart and tries to corrupt him. Lots of ways this can go. Percy whump is one of my favorite things to read. This is probably only going to be pre canon.
Percy Seven Swans AU - I love the seven swans myth. So family cursed instead of murdered. Definitely not canon. Orthax requireing Percy to make Automatons? Chain mail, Mech hearts? Or resisdium stuff.
CR Campaign 2 Avatar Au - This is so bare boned in my book. All I have is Cad being bullied and a few elements assigned to people. So pass not gonna do this one.
CR Campaign 2 Soc Media AU- Yeaaa noooo I like Soc Media au. But this has even less than the avatar au. Just premise no prompts. Also modern au's are hard for me to write.
CR Campaign 2 - Caleb is a prince of the Dwendalian Empire. This is a headcannon that I have. But it doesn't make much since for Trent to be as obessed with Caleb as he is. Sure Caleb is a flawed prodigy. But to keep him alive for 10 years in a mental ward instead of killing him? Why do that? Makes more sense if Caleb is an illegiatment prince of the Dwendal family. The current heir is a miltary man right? Makes since he might have children out of wedlock. And his wife is looking for a cure to her fertility problems. What better than a prince you have under your thumb? The Cerberus Assembly is a shadow goverment already. But thats it that all my thoughts. And it would have to be a long fic to do it any justice. There are a lot of Royalty AU's in CR2. But most of them have someone else as the Royal. I also like the idea of Caleb becoming King then abdicating and making a democracy.
Next in old Journal is prompts from a year old Whumptober month. So lets see if there are any gems there.
Kaladin Stormblessed having stitches overgrown from stormlight. Ouch.
Sandry fa Toren from Circle of Magic- dealing with isolation. I think sandry has the hardest time connecting with people. Being a noble and having her friends be away all those years. She doesn't fit easily in noble society and the working class isn't at ease with her.
Midorya from MHA - dealing with chronic pain and challenges from all the injuries he has. This is a possibilty but I am so out of the MHA fandom.
Luffy from One Piece - Rubber has got to changed your sense of touch right? Probably dulls it. No wonder luffy glomps on people if all everything is muted.
2 different Log Horizon fic ideas! - Shiroe was in the game for much longer than anyone else. No wonder he is well known. People think he is an npc but he was just there for longer. And second idea Log Horizon Soulmate idea. The other world just has soulmates. Shiroe and Akasuki. I would have to refresh my knowledge of that fandom.
Hopefully this gets my wheels turning. Also anyone is welcome to grab these ideas and run with them.

âFinally.â You thought to yourself upon sitting on the dining table with the crew, happy to be reunited with them after so long..
It was a tough without them on those days, but you're glad that you're with them once again. âMademoiselle, your meal is here~!â
Sanji interrupts, giving you your favorite as you hummed, thanking him. âThank you, Sanji..â
âYou're welcome, m'lady, always happy to serve a pretty lady like you, mellorine!â Doing his usual heart-eyes look, you chuckled.
âMhm.. Still flirty as ever, huh, Sanji? Ah, but I don't mind. I'm happy that you're still the same.â You stated, taking note of the other's personality that didn't change at all; still lively...
While Zoro on the other hand eyed you chat with the others on the corner, having his mouth fall agape, observing you. âShe... Changed.â
He noted, glancing away for a moment because of the panging sensation in his chest.. You haven't even talked nor interacted with him yet, and it honestly hurts him.
â..Ah.â You gasped before taking small steps towards Zoro who was tapping his fingers on the wooden floor, seeming like he was impatiently waiting for you to talk to him.
âZoro, hey.â Greeting the moss head, you then sat down beside him on the floor, keeping a good 3-foot distance away from the swordsman who turned his head to you.
âYo. It's.. It's been a while.â Scratching his nape, Zoro lets out an awkward greeting, causing you to chuckle. âMy my, how awkward, Zoro. But scratch that, how you doing?â
âOh. I'm good. And sorry 'bout that... I just don't know how to start a proper conversation, with you.â Admitting this, Zoro clenched one of his swords as he frowned.
âEh..? Then, I'll be going now, I just... Wanted to check on you. If there's anything you need, just call me. I'll be helping chopper ground some herbs..â
Ending the small chat with a shrug, you then left Zoro alone to only watch your figure get out of his sight, once again.
It isn't like before anymore, you don't follow him around like a puppy anymore, and it hurts him. He misses your company, he misses you, very much.
âDamn it...â Silently cursing himself as he swung the large dumbbells in his hand, Zoro grit his teeth. Annoyed by the fact that you've been spending less and less time with him.
âGardening with Usopp, Robin, and Nami on mornings, helping out with Franky and Chopper on noons together with Brook, cooking snacks with that curly-browed cook on afternoons, then playing around with Luffy, training by herself on eveningsâand no time for me..!?â
Letting out his frustrations by training himself to his bones, Zoro's jealousy started to swell. âI.. I have no right to be jealous of the low attention span she gives me, but still....!â
Dropping the weights, the swordsman took a deep sigh. Making his mind up; âThat's it, I'll talk to Y/n. I... I need to let thisâthis thing out.â
Swallowing the lump on his throat, he then stood in front of the room you're training on, knocking a few times as his heart pounded loudly, yet it also ached because of your ignorance on him.
âYes? Who is itâoh, Zoro. What brings you here?â You asked, wiping your sweat off with the towel that is slinged over your shoulder.
âY/n. Can... Can we talk?â He croaks as you widened your eyes. Nodding your head and offering him inside your room despite the shock of his sudden arrival. âO..Of course, uhm, come in..!â
Now inside, you two sat in front of each other. Sitting down the floor in silence.
â..So...? What do we talk about, ha..haha..ha?â Letting a nervous laugh out, you then asked Zoro who got tense, immediately looking down to the floor.
âAbout that.. I just... I just wanted to ask... Uhâhow are you doing? And uh, what.. What happened to you 2 years ago?â Scratching his nape as he spoke, the moss head cleared his throat as he waited for your answer.
Thinking back, you then wore a weak smile on your face as you went on to answer his question, â..Y'know, we all got separated, then I was trained to be a swordswoman by someone random.â
âAnd uh, during that time.. I was kinda depressed by our separation...â You admit, an awkward, and suffocating silence taking over the room once again. âAh, wait, about that..â
âDo you still remember Bodo? The guy who attacked you before? Do you know that his powers turns love to hate?â Bringing up this topic, Zoro's cheeks flushed red, avoiding your eyes with all his might.
âHaha, I still remember that when you started to hate me because of the effects of his Devil Fruit, I was honestly hurt. But after some time, I realized that you might've reciprocated my feelings for you back then!â You exclaimed with a small chuckle, tucking your hair behind your ear to hide your embarrassment as you continued, not giving Zoro a chance to speak up.
âThen yeah, I got teleported by Kuma to an isolated land to be a swordswoman...â Pausing, a sigh escaped your lips, frowning.
âThat'sâThat's when I got really sad because I'm alone. All alone without my friends, and without you.â
â...So to get rid of that sadness in me, I decided to just focus on training to get stronger so I can protect not only myself, but also my crew mates!â Shrugging this off, you then looked up to the ceiling, the smile on your face slowly fading as Zoro stared at you in awe.
âThough Zoro, I admit that when I was training, I kinda forgot about you and... My feelings for you, because I realized thatâI was being too pushy with you before, right?â
Turning your head to Zoro who widened his eyes upon hearing your words, he opened his mouth to speak up, looking down to the floor. âYeah... You were honestly kinda pushy, but I miss it, now that you're being quite distant with me.â
Confessing this to you, Zoro lets a heavy sigh out. Now taking it as his turn to let the cat out of the bag. âIt's also true that I did like you before and reciprocated your feelings. And... Do you still like me..?â
Zoro asks in a small voice, causing you to crack a sheepish grin, shifting your glance all around the room. â..Yeah. I still do.â
âFuck...â He cursed under his breath. A blush taking over his face that he hid from you, yet it only lasted for a moment since the aching in his heart came back, knowing that he has to turn you down becauseâ
âThat's... Assuring, knowing that you still like me too. But I gotta apologize, Y/n.. I... I wanna focus on my goal first, and help Luffy to be the Pirate King before anything else. So... If you can, please, wait for me.â
Right, this man is hard to love after all..
Mouth falling agape, you exhaled, nodding your head despite being having your heart sting in pain as you spoke in a brittle voice, about to cry. âA-Ah, yeah, yes. I.. I understand. Andâthank you, Zoro... I can, and I will wait, no matter how long will it take us, because I love you.â

Okay so I sent in the request about their s/o getting hurt, sorry for being unspecific đ
. Could it be monster trio accidentally saying something that hurts their fem s/o then they realise that sheâs ignoring them or they like catch her crying. Angsty to fluffy by the end if possible. Ty and sorry again x
No need to apologize! If I didnât get clarification I wouldâve wrote it as physically hurt. Iâm really glad you sent another request because now I know I could write it the way you actually wanted me to:D
Monster trio saying something that hurts their s/o
Reader: fem
Zoro
Zoro would probably say something to you as a joke but comes off as serious, since sometimes its really hard to read his tone. An instance comes where he makes fun of you the exact way he does for Sanji and you are absolutely not having it. Your day was already not going well since you were already insecure about some stuff, and because of that you took Zoroâs messing with you as malicious intent. But, can you be blamed? Itâs hard to tell, and was rude in the first place.
Pissed from his comments, you started to distance yourself a bit since it kind of bothered you that he didnât really notice the weight of his words. Tired from the stressful day, you go into the birds nest for some time to yourself, not even noticing the tears that carelessly streamed down your face.
Zoros return to the nest startles you, and you quickly wipe your tears before he can say anything that could hurt your feelings anymore. He has a slightly tired look on his face, as always, but a bit more sincerity in his eyes.
âWere you crying?â he asks in a bit of a soft voice
You let out a bit of a soft sob âNo.â You cover a bit of your face with your sleeve, lowkey accepting the fact that itâs hard to cover up crying so abruptly.
He took a seat next to your on the floor, staying silent for a little bit before trying to figure out what to say to you to make the tension relieve a bit. Zoro wasnât visibly nervous, but he definitely was internally freaking out.
âDid you have a bad day?â he asks, in an even softer tone than before. You glance at him and nod in response.
âI didnât like what you said.â
He responds almost instantly, âI know, Iâm sorry.â
A pause of silence fills the room again until he continues, âI shouldâve known better. Do you forgive me?â
Itâs hard to bite back a smile when he talks to you like that. Sometimes youâre convinced that your boyfriend is seriously an airhead.
âWhy would I forgive you so fast?â you ask, the last part of the sentence almost breaking into a laugh the moment you saw his neck hung down, seeming to be asleep. âThatâs a good way to get out of confrontation, I guessâ you think to yourself.
Youâre still a bit hurt, and you decided youâll talk about it more the day after when things have relieved a bit. For now though, you cuddle up to Zoro on the birds nest floor and fall asleep with him. What an adorable idiot
Sanji
It would be so unintentional, oh my god. If it had to be something hurtful, in this case it would be more.. jealously based. After you began dating, Sanji doesnât really pay as much attention as he used to to other women, yet particularly today, he was on your nerves. He compared you to another girl, putting you down in the process.
Sanji gets distracted quite easily, so he didnât really see your reaction when he said it. You were thankful for that, and decided to storm off to your shared room where you can let out your feelings and cry
The tears felt like they were flowing endlessly, your head was so buried in your knees that Sanjiâs sudden gentle touch on the top of your head startled you. You mustâve been so caught up in your sobbing that you didnt hear him come inside. You slowly bring your head up to meet his face above you, face flushed from crying.
His face is filled with so much concern and sadness when he looks at you, that he cant help but to kneel down next to you and bring you into a tight hug. You didnât protest, deciding that he was probably really sorry and didnât fully understand what he said meant to you. Unlike Zoro or Luffy, Sanji realizes what he did wrong the second he sees your reaction.
âI can never forgive myself for making you cry, [Name]-chwan. Iâm so sorryâ
You sob more into his shoulder, âSanjiiiiiâ you drag out, and mumble âI hate youâ
âI love you, darlingâÂ
A short moment of silent passes, âDid you mean it?â, you mutter, face still buried in his shoulder that still faintly smelled like cigarettes and cologne
âWhat I said? No! Of course not! I would never even think for a second that thereâs a girl as amazing as you, [Name]-chwanâ
You hum in response, deciding to hug him tighter. Youâd let it slide this time.
Luffy
We all know Luffy has a tendency to be blunt, and you let it pass of course since itâs apart of him. Though, a time comes around where Luffy is so caught up in other things like helping nakamas, fighting, trying to become the pirate king that it feels like youâre totally being neglected for days. You understand hes busy, hes a captain with a high bounty after all. So, to spend easy time with him you offer to help him in some way, whether its fighting or just being by his side with whatever hes doing
For whatever reason, Luffy does not respond nicely to this, but doesnât even realize the bluntness of it. Before you could even say anything back, hes already launching himself to go ask Sanji for food. You sigh in response and try to take it lightly. You knew Luffyâs nature to act this way but it was hard to not be hurt by his words nonetheless.
Your tears seem to flow without your permission, and you didnât even notice you were crying until you heard Nami shuffle behind you, asking whats wrong. When you explained to her, she insisted that you confront Luffy nonetheless, even though you were almost sure there was no point to doing so.
You didnât even have time to collect yourself before Luffy found you, your cheeks and eyes still puffy from your previous crying session. As he was about to speak, Nami slowly walked away to give you two alone time to talk.
âWhatâs wrong, [Name]? Why are you crying? Want me to make a funny face?âÂ
Before you can even answer heâs stretching and pulling his face like crazy, putting it into knots, twisting it, and such. Oh, youâre mad at him but you definitely canât resist smiling when he does those stupid things. Curse that rubber human
You collect yourself and finally speak, âLuffy. You said something today that was rude. Thatâs why Iâm crying.â
âWhat? What did I say? When?!â, and you of course try to explain where and when in simple terms so he would remember
He laughs a bit as a reaction before continuing, âI didnât mean it like that, [Name]! Youâre super strong and cool, you can always help me out during adventures. Thatâs why youâre on the crew, right?â
You happily nod in response. âSo we can hang out more now, right?â you ask, trying for some reassurance
âOf course!â

I hope you like the story!
"Y/N! Can you come here for a sec dear", called Sanji as you instantly went towards him, leaving the game in between.
"Damn... Y/N not again!", said Ussop as you just gave him an apologetic look. Luffy and Chopper, just smiled at you when you went into the kitchen.
You saw that the blond was making pastries. You stood beside him and looked at him. He smiled at you and lifted his spoon up, with the small treat with it.
"Say ah~", he said making you blush. You had a crush on the blond for a long time. Maybe from the day you joined the crew. He was so elegant, handsome and very polite. You always had a spot for gentlemen like him. As he instructed, you opened your mouth. He placed the piece of pastry in your mouth and pulled the empty spoon back. "So, how is it?", he asked.
"Its... its really amazing! The way it just melts in your mouth and the sweetness is just perfect", you complimented.
"Awww thanks a lot dear. So... do you think Nami san will like it?", he asked.
Yes you liked him, but... it was one sided. He liked Nami. And most of the times he asked you for help. So, you continued to help him.
"Sanji, trust me. She will be totally be mesmerised by it", you answer honestly as you place your hand on his shoulder and looked into his eye.
"Thanks dear. You always help me", with that he smiled widely at you.
Everytime you helped him, he would give you the most dazzling smile you'd crave for. That smile of his... it was everything you could ask for. Atleast this emotion and smile were true between you two. Atleast he didn't give anyone this smile other than you.
You watched him as he swooned over to the navigator and gave her the pastry. She smiled as she ate it and he melted at that sight.
Oh only if he looked at you. Only if he noticed you. Only if he liked you back... you knew it wasnât the case and were also thinking of giving up. But, when ever you tried, he needed you and you couldn't help but be there for him. Couldn't stop helping him to make Nami fall in love.
You knew, Nami wouldn't like him in a romantic way. She just saw him as a friend. You didn't hate Nami. You couldn't even. She was amazing.
Once when you all were on Sabaody, the way he swooned over every single girl, made you feel even more jealous. âMaybe I need to confessâ, you thought. But the way he just made you a nervous mess every time, you even tried to talk to him, made you to go for a second option.Â
You took a paper and wrote all your feelings down on it. It definitely made you a bit confident to give it, rather than to say it to him. You gently placed it in his pocket, where he usually keeps his cigarette because you knew heâd definitely look at it, if you kept it there. You then continued to watch him if he shows any reaction of that small love letter of yours and waited and waited.Â
You all ate your food and then you saw Sanji... literally crushed that love letter of yours and threw it. Your heart was broken at his reaction. The worst you imagined was, he gently rejecting you. but... this... you never expected. Tears welled up in your eyes and you went to the restroom and cried for a while. You were never the type to cry in front of others. Oh little did you know that it was a nasty drawing handed to him. So he crushed it and threw it way. âNo snacksâ, he said as Luffy and Ussop stopped to laugh and whined. âNo more. Ill stop these feelingsâ, you thought and went towards the table.Â
You all then got into the mess, with Kizaru and Kuma sent you all flying to different islands. Sanji who was sent to Okama island, was stressed so he placed his hand in his pocket to take a new cigarette but he noticed a paper which was carefully folded slipped out of his pocket. He bent down and gently picked it up. Then suddenly, the Okama people attacked him. So he had no choice but to place it in his pocket and run away.Â
You started to train with the people on the island and had only two thoughts in mind. âTo get stronger for Luffy and to get rid of these feelings for Sanjiâ. On the other hand, Sanji read your letter and had tears in his eyes. âY..Y/N loves me?!â, he thought as he read the letter again and again to make sure he didnât imagine anything. He was overwhelmed with happiness, never in his life he thought he could have a person love him. But, there you were, in every step when together, trying to make him happy. He realised how he also liked you but never knew about his own feelings.Â
3D2Y
You came to the island of Sabaody after 2 years to meet your crew. You were more stronger, more confident and even developed your haki skills and were so exited to train with Zoro. While you were going towards the island not long after you heard someone familiar.
âVIVA SABAODY!!! I NEED LADYYY!!!â, he shouted.
Way too close to your heart that you didnât even had to turn around to look at him. Even after 2 years, just his voice, made your heart beat faster. âWhat the hell?! I thought I was over himâ, you thought and paced faster. You didnt turn around, just kept walking. Away from that voice. away from him. You knew this was a futile effort because you were of the same crew. But your heart just couldnât bare it. But, you couldnât win against his speed. He noticed you. He noticed you even when you changed. You were more mature and more stronger. But he noticed you.Â
âY/N!! Y/N! is that you?!â, he was shouting as he headed towards you practically ran towards you. Just in a couple of seconds, there he stood infront of you. With his ever charming smile. He looked at you and then fainted with nosebleed. His behaviour was still the same, but this is the first time he ever got a nosebleed seeing you. âOnly because of some small changes, nothing moreâ, you thought. You had no option but to carry him to the Shakki sanâs bar. You crouched down and placed your arm behind his shoulder and carefully lifted him up with using your devilfruit powers. No matter how much you tried to avoid, your mind kept telling you, how his fluffy hair grew, how he changed his hair to view his other eye, and how... how you still had feelings for him even when you denied. âDamn my stupid heartâ, you cursed as you reached the bar. You let him be there and left.
After a while, Sanji slowly opened his eyes slowly and got up. He then remembered the encounter with you.
âY/N!â, he exclaimed as he looked around the bar, only for Shakki san to chuckle and pat his head.
âShe brought you here when you were unconscious and leftâ, she said. He got up right away and thanked Shakki san and left the bar. He went towards the shops to buy food and controlled himself so much not to just stand there talking with the ladies. He wanted to make the best food for the three of you... especially, for you.
He bought food and came over to the ship, only to be fainted with nosebleed right after seeing you and the other two ladies. He woke up after a while and sunny started the journey to the mermaid island. He then without wasting time, came towards you and took your hand in his as he walked away from the chaotic group.
âWhy the hell am I not pushing him away?â, you thought as he brought you to kitchen and stood before you. He took a deep breath and asked, âY/N, do you... do you like..â, he practiced this for two years and now he became a nervous wreck. You wanted to be cold towards him. You didnât want these feelings for him. So you said, âHurry up will ya! I donât have timeâ. His face was stunned. He looked at you with a very hurt expression. You were hurt. You didnt like the way you talked to him.
âAh, I.. Iâm sorry, its just that, I wanted to ask you that, is it true that, you..like me?â, he asked.
You sighed and replied, âI.. I used to like you Sanji and yes it was the truth. But I donât anymore.â
He was shocked. His visible eye was open wide. He didnât expect this answer from you. He thought you two would date. Now here you were, saying you liked him but you donât feel the same for him now.
âBut... may I ask, why? Did you like anyone else during this time?â, he asked you.Â
âNo, no one. Its just that, I liked you so much but,â you couldnât stop, you werent nervous. You wanted to tell him how much you were hurt so you continued, âI was heart broken, when you rejected my confession then-â
âWOAH WOAH! Rejected your confession?! When did I ever do that?â, he questioned with the most serious and confused look.
âYou did. You crumbled my love letter infront of my eyes. I never thought you would be the type to just plain stamp on my feelings. Especially you Sanji, you dont even know how much hurt I was when I saw thatâ, you said as you looked into his eyes.Â
âY/N, what are you even talking about? I wouldnât do that. You should know it more than anyone else on this shipâ, he said as he sighed and placed his hand in his pocket. He took out a pink envelope and gave it to you. You took it and opened the envelope. It had the same folded white paper in it. You teared up as you saw that paper.Â
âI saw your letter, when I was thrown away on an island. I wanted to contact you asap, but I didnât knew where you wereâ, he said as he came closer to you and gently wiped your tears away. He continued, âY/N, Iâve kept this letter for all this time and Iâll continue to keep it with me. Itâs the first time a person ever said that they like me. And, more over its from an amazing person like you. Did you think, Iâd reject you?â
You sobbed even more and leaned your head on his chest. He slowly placed one of his hand on your shoulder and with the other he patted your head soothingly.Â
âIâm sorry. Iâm sorry Sanji. I shouldâve known. I misunderstood you. Forgive me.â, you said still didnt looked at him. He said, âIts fine. Dont cry. Y/N, Iâve been waiting to ask this, Will you go out with me?â
You stopped crying as he said it. You lifted your head and looked at him. He was serious. He didnât have any heart eyes or nosebleed.
âAre you... sure?â, you asked. He smiled and said yes. You giggled and nodded. As soon as you nodded he couldnât control his emotions and hugged you tight as he lifted you up.Â
âTHANKYOU SO MUCH!â, he screamed as you chuckled. With still you in his arms, he left the kitchen and you both were met with the whole crew staring at you two. He let you down and placed his arm around your shoulder.
âWE ARE DATING!â, he announced making the complete crew jump in joy. Even when Luffy and Chopper didnât understand what it was but still were happy anyway.
Days went by and you all achieved your goals. You both faced so many troubles, had many memorable moments. The way Sanji dotted on you made you to become happier than ever, because that was what you wanted from him, because he was your prince. You loving and caring for him, made him even more crazy for you, because that was what he wanted the most in his life, and you were the angel of his heart. Once you found a paper on your desk, which said meet me at the beach. You followed the path of rose petals and ofcourse, no one but Sanji would do this.He is cheesy AF, bt you love it though. There you saw, Sanji with a bouquet of red roses. âHow did he arrange all of thisâ, you thought as you looked at the beach. He arranged a candle light date. He gave you the bouquet and escorted you to the place. You sat on your chair and he knelt down before you. He held your hand in his and said, âY/N, you make me so happy every single day. You made me a better person. Time with you is the most precious of all. So, would you give me the honour of standing next to you for the rest.â, he took out a small dark blue box and opened it and continued, âWill you become the Queen of my All blue for life, will you marry meâ, he ended as you started to cry.
âYes, my King of All Blueâ, you said as you sobbed and he placed the ring on your finger. You both got up and kissed. Then all your friends came towards you two and congratulated you two. Luffy hugged you two as he nibbled on the food, Sanji made for you.
You couldnât help but be overwhelmed. He was your prince, now he was becoming your King. You couldnt be anymore happier than this.
After disbanding from crew, you both went to Barratie, for some days to meet Sanjiâs family. As soon as you were introduced as his fiance, everyone was stunned. They all celebrated this by making a huge party and you felt blessed for all this. For Sanji, for his family and for everything else.

Why donât you listen to me? Law x GN! Reader - Part 2
Spoilers for : Punk Hazard and Dressrosa arcs [No gender used for the reader, no physical description, everyone is +18] Words : 6809 Archive of Our Own A bit of angst, of fluff too! Bad flirting, if you can call that flirting. No warnings, if you feel like I should put some, send me a DM or an ask!
... Part 1
âHow did that stranger get here?â A gentle voice said. âThatâs super weird, I didnât see anyone when I brought the Sunny around the island!â This one is so much louder. âAre there any injuries? Should I take a look?â âWait, Chopper! Iâll go tell the captain, see what we have to do.â This person had common sense, warn your captain first before taking any course of action. Taking a deep breath, I was about to open my eyes when I started choking on the smoke that was around the room. Sitting up quickly, I put my hand on my nose and threw a glance around the room as I saw a man in a suit going down the stairs, the smoke following him. My eyes then looked around some more and I saw a small reindeer next to me, along with two other members of the Straw Hats crew. Giving them a smile, I quickly realized the situation and cursed under my breath.
Throwing my coat on, I stood up and apologized profusely, âI did not mean- I had planned to wake up before you all came back but I fell asleep and- Iâm not hitching a ride or anything I was waiting for my captain- he doesnât know Iâm here though, so that kind of sounds strange-â I was interrupted by the sound of my name being called by an all too familiar voice. I winced visibly as I turned around, making the three people in front of me chuckle as they stood up from beside the bench. âCaptain.â I said in a composed tone, now seeing Luffy right next to my captain, he seemed confused. However, he did not have time to ask any question that the infamous Black Leg told everyone to leave us alone, which they did. It was awkward to wait for them to go down the stairs, but once they did, we were truly alone.
Thatâs when I felt my heart tighten in my chest. âYou lied to me.â He said as he approached, taking his hat off before walking past me and sitting on the bench behind me, his elbows resting on his knees.
âI didnât, I said Iâd get off Punk Hazard and- I did I went on this boat so-â I was cut off,
âDonât play with words, do you know what happened out there?â he asked in a way too serious tone. Shaking my head, I took off my coat once more, feeling too hot in this room now that he had joined me. I put it on the ground and sat in front of my captain, trying to meet his eyes.
âA gaz-â he paused, composing himself, âIf you had been out there you could haveâŠâ he trailed off, running a hand through his hair before sighing. âIt doesnât matter now, itâs over.â He grunted, putting his hat back before standing up. In panic at grabbed his hand and sat him back down, he wasnât even talking to me. He was not even feeling angry like before, or frustrated. He was resigned. I didnât like that.
 âIâm sorry captain-â
âLaw, just Law.â He said. I was caught off guard, but nodded before resuming.
âIâm sorry for disappointing you- I⊠I keep repeating myself but I was just worried and I realize I disobeyed your order and Iâll stop doing that. Iâll just return to the submarine Iâm sorry⊠Please donât kick me off the crew?â I tried to play the last part off, as a joke but I was truly worried I had unnerved him to the point where he would have had enough. I thought I could make him understand I cared by⊠well, being worried but I just really had a hard time sharing my emotions.
âItâs too late for that,â He grunted.
A knot in my throat. I couldnât really speak when I heard his words but I nodded as I stood up. âUnderstood, Iâll get my stuff and leave-â âI meant, to return to the submarine, look outside, weâre already on our way to Dressrosa.â Pointing at the window with his slender hand, I shuffled to my feet and noticed all the blue that surrounded us.
âI would apologize but, I donât think I could have stayed at Zou knowing youâd be off on your own, soâŠâ Facing Law again, I saw the small smirk that had drawn itself on his features as a huff laughed escaped his lips. âWhat has gotten in your head to follow me?â he asked, a bit curious, while leaning back on the bench, his arms resting on it. I hid my grimace, it wasnât the first he had asked me that question and at some point, I was bound to be honest with me, but that moment had not come yet. âBepo-â
âDonât tell me Bepo was worried, he already told me that you were the one that insisted to go.â He stated in his low and beautiful voice- come on, focus, youâre caught, find an excuse!
Grabbing my coat from the floor, I let out a nervous laugh. âRight, I had forgotten that- I already told you I was worried, thatâs all I can give you captain.â His brows furrowed quickly, and I chuckled as I quickly muttered his name instead of his title. Sitting down next to him, I let enough space between us for at least one person to sit; I may have a crush on the man but I did not plan to act on it, so I had to not give off the wrong idea.
âIf Iâm being honest, I just feel like youâre about to do something crazy. Itâs a gut feeling, and maybe Iâm wrong, but hey, I canât go back now, so youâll have to bear with me until weâre back with our friends.â Tipping his head down, Law laughed lightly but it felt off, almost dark. Then he raised his head and met my eyes with his grey ones.
âIâm going to kill Doflamingo.â He stated.
I blinked a few times at his words, taking in what he had said. Kill⊠Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. The previous smile on his face had disappear in an instant as he looked off to the window, his cool attitude changing entirely as he grabbed his sword and held it with both of his hands. He had talked about that man, the awful things he had done. Nothing good came out of him, nothing, and while I did not condone murder, I did not feel anything if he were to disappear of the face of earth.
âI understand, I hope itâll bring you what you seek- Iâm not really one for revenge but if you think itâll help you-â
âItâs not about helping, itâs about doing whatâs right- itâs about following Cora-sanâs will!â I felt so small when Law stood up and was now towering over me, pushing him away slightly, I stood up too but didnât move. Instead, I gave him a warm smile.
âI see, Iâm sorry for misunderstanding. Do you trust the Straw Hats enough to have them help you with something personal like this?â He was probably irritated enough to not have me here; I should probably just make myself small. Or not, I was not like that, but I would try to not get on his nerve too much. His expression lightened and he stepped back, putting his sword back on the bench.
His form slouched, he shrugged, âItâs an alliance, theyâre strong. Itâs enough for me.â
I couldnât hold back my chuckle as he said that, I could see he was getting along with their captain. Iâm sure they were on the same wavelength, or else he wouldnât have suggested this alliance. âI see a blooming friendship, thatâs so beautiful Law- admit it you like him,â Nudging his side with my elbow, I was hoping to get a confession out of him but instead he grabbed my arm and stopped me.
It was always fun to tease him, it was hard to get a reaction out of him but when I could, it made my day. Right now, even though he reacted some way, I could feel the warmth of his hand through my shirt. Part of me really wanted that hand to hold me, I kind of wanted to stay there longer but instead I chuckled nervously and grabbed his hand to free my arm. âPromise, I wonât tell them youâre actually growing fond of them.â I said teasingly, for a moment there I felt my face heat up for some reason. I shouldnât be acting like this around my captain, right? Sighing in fake exasperation he repeated that it was just an alliance, and I shrugged while walking towards the door. âI can read you like a book captain Law; nothing escapes me.â Shaking his head, he followed me, making sure to not forget his sword.
âRight. Well, now that you here, Iâll introduce you-â Cutting him off I shook my head, âI can do that just fine by myself, I think I recall my name just fine too.â I told him jokingly. A gasp escaped my lips as, from the corner of my eyes, I saw the small paper I had left on the bench, Lawâs vivre card. I rapidly took it before following him outside, âBut youâre my responsibility, for being a member of my crew.â He paused, then on a lighter tone continued, âAnd a stowaway.â A cackled escaped my lips as I placed my hand on his shoulder before teleporting us down to the deck, where people seemed to be interacting together, they werenât really talking considering the people running around the deck while being chased by the ginger woman. âThatâs the alliance?â I asked Law, barely above a whisper, as I leaned closer to him. He tilted his head forward but didnât say anything, instead he removed my hand, that was still on his shoulder before turning towards me with a frown.
âYouâre freezing- why didnât you say something earlier,â The way he said my name at the end of his sentence sent shivers down my spine, goosebumps all over my skin, if he could say it like that again I would enjoy it greatly. Get yourself together, heâs a doctor of course heâd get worried over your dumb ass, I told myself before pulling my hand back.
âItâs alright, I did sleep through worse when I, not so discretely, watched over you on Punk Hazard.â I said sheepishly. But the sheepishness probably made it worse as he told me to stay put before he walked off to the elegant black-haired woman, she looked so kind and poised on her chair as she read her book amidst the chaos that was happening on deck. Talking with her, Law then turned around and pointed at me, the womanâs face lit up and she waved at me before smiling oh so beautifully.
Waving back, I reciprocated the smile which seemed to annoy Law since he turned around quickly, pulling his cap down before resuming his discussion with who I assume was Nico Robin. My focus was brought to a loud voice that entered my ear very loudly, someone said my name in the loudest way possible as they threw an arm around my shoulder.
âYouâre Toraoâs friend! I donât remember fighting with you at Punk Hazard!â he exclaimed before stopping dead in his words, looking at me for a long moment, pondering with a confused expression.
Should I tell him that I was actually not fighting with them and that I had just⊠followed my captain? Or maybe- âWell! It doesnât matter, Sanjiâs about to make some food, you should come! Sanjiâs the best cook- heâs so great, you should try his food! Come on! Iâm hungry!â I was then pulled towards a door that led to the inside of the boat but quickly got stopped by a tattooed hand.
âMugiwara-ya, give me a minute.â He told the Straw Hats captain, who, strangely, listened as he ran inside shouting for more food, more meat.
âHe has so much energy, itâs so fun- heâs your exact opposite! Not that youâre not funny, but like, youâre way calmer. I like that- I donât think I could ever handle Luffyâs energy, yours I can, Iâm used to it you know?â A hand placed on my shoulder stopped me in my accidental ramble, I felt my cheeks heat up in an instant as I looked off to the side, slowly coming to the realization that it wasnât Lawâs hand on my shoulder but one a lot lighter.
âNico-ya will show you the bathroom, you need to get warm. I donât have time to take care of you if you get a cold.â He stated before gesturing with his head to the person behind me. Turning around I saw Nico Robinâs warm expression and grinned back.
When I turned back, saying âAh youâre just worried-â I noticed he had entered the boat and was nowhere in sight. âCome on, Iâll show you around.â She then led me to what looked like a small interior bath house. I was amazed by the inside, we did not have that on the submarine, it was a lot brighter than our bathroom; And spacious too. Stepping inside, I took off my coat but stopped in my tracks, seeing the fruit user sitting on a chair next to the door.
âIâm good miss Robin, I think I can bathe on my own.â I told her lightly, earning a surprised gasp from her.
âNo need to call me miss, you can call me Robin. But donât worry, Iâm not going to look, Iâm just here in case you fall asleep.â She explained softly, but it confused me a bit. Seeing that she was covering her eyes I removed my clothes and stepped inside the scalding hot water; It must have been just hot at first but considering how cold my body was, the shock between the temperatures made it a lot warmer.
âFall asleep? Iâll just get cleaned and get out, donât worry.â I said softly. Chuckling slightly, she asked if she could look, if I was in the water, and I told her yes, so she uncovered her eyes, smiling.
âIâm not worried, Torao said,â frowning she took a slightly deeper voice, I had to hold back from laughing out loud but listened intently as she imitated Law explaining that one time, I fell asleep in the bath after a long fight and Bepo was the one that found me out, burning hot and asleep in the bath.
Once she was done, her expression changed entirely, âHe also added that he did not want you to get sick, if anything I think heâs the one worried about you.â She then grabbed a book from the small table next to the chair.
Folding my arms on the edge of the huge bath, I started thinking. I did not think Law cared that much, sure it would be a pain in his ass if I got sick but thatâs about it, he was a great doctor so I understood if he did not want to spend time on someone with a cold. Iâm even surprised he remembered that one time I passed out, I almost forgot that. It wasnât going to happen again, considering that it only happened because I had lost a lot of blood and was pretty tired that day. All while thinking about him, I washed myself then simply enjoyed the warmth of the water. It was one of those rare time I could relax, but it felt nice. Maybe Law could take one too, he looked rather stressed⊠maybe part of it being that I completely ignored his orders⊠Iâm an idiot. Now he must hate me for being a stubborn moron.
Fuck, definitely not how someone shows any sort of affection, but it doesnât matter, because Iâm not going to act on it anyway. Yeah, just, keep it in. âDaydreaming?â I heard Nico Robinâs voice echo in the room, bringing my attention back to her, face heating up from what I was thinking about.
âDaydreaming, ha! No, no, nothing to daydream about, just thinking.â A smile drew itself on her face as she closed the book in her hands.
âNot even your Captain?â She suggested teasingly, my eyes widened in shock at her words. It couldnât be that obvious, itâs been going on for months and itâs only now that people were realizing it? I hadnât done anything to be obvious, right? So, I denied it.
âLaw? No, no, a Captain? Thatâd be crazy, heâs a Warlord too- I couldnât, I would never. No, no, heâs too- too much, and grumpy you know? I mean sure heâs funny, kind too, and determined- or is it stubbornness? But grumpy, I donât care how handsome he is, you know? I mean I can handle his grumpiness, I donât mind it that much-â
I cut myself off, realizing that I was talking way too much and that I had just done the exact opposite of what I had planned on doing. This was not denying, this was an obvious confession. This was bad, I had to stop being honest and stop blathering what came through my head. Iâm an idiot, I thought as I let my head hang but quickly lifted it back up when I heard Robin laugh charmingly.
âItâs cute, if youâd like to talk about it, do not hesitate. I rarely have the occasion to talk about such things, it could be nice.â I stared at her in awe, cute? Iâm not cute, Iâm a fool for having a crush on a gorgeous pirate that has a bounty of 440 Million berries.
âTalk about it? Iâm not- Iâm not planning on doing anything about it, itâll go away. Itâs a foolish crush, and he has definitely other things to do than think of a nice way to turn me down. So, yeahâŠâ There was an awkward silence, maybe I shouldnât have said that but it was how I felt.
About to get up, I realized my clothes werenât where I had left them. Since there were towels nearby, I wrapped them around myself and look at Robin a bit lost. âWhere are my clothes?â As if coming to a realization she stood up and brought me a fresh pair of clothes, but they werenât mine. It was something I would wear, and it was my size⊠for some reason⊠but it wasnât mine.
âYour clothes were pretty dirty; I gave them to Chopper so heâd clean them.â She then thrusted the clothes in my hands, âThoseâll be adequate for the weather in Dressrosa,â She then walked towards the door, but turned around as she reached it, âMy offer still stands, Iâm here if youâd like to talk. Or, you know⊠gush about how attractive he is.â I rolled my eyes but couldnât help but smile as I nodded, telling her Iâd think about it.
When she left the room, I heard voices outside and paid attention to what was being said. I think I heard Lawâs voice behind the door asking if I had fallen asleep, and Robinâs answer being that when she left, I wasnât asleep but she had to go help Chopper. I did not know her enough to know if she was lying or not, but it was pretty suspect the way she said it. I also wondered why she would say that, she knows Iâm out of the bathtub and getting dressed- my train of thoughts got interrupted by a gentle knock on the door, quickly followed by my name. Fuck could I hear him say my name many more times. âAlive and well, come in.â I called out once I was finished with putting on my shirt. If I didnât know better, I would have said there was hesitance when the door opened. âYou did not fall asleep, good.â He then stepped forward and placed a hand on my forehead, I almost flinched at how sudden it was but stood there.
âNo fever. At least youâre not freezing anymore.â He stated. When he let his hand fall back to his side I shrugged in response, âDonât speak so soon, youâd be surprised by how quick my body temperature fucks me up, Law.â I said jokingly as we made our way out of the room, I think I heard him chuckle as he followed me outside. His cheeks were slightly red from the heat of the room and he looked so cute like that, it was a rare sight to see him with colors on his face. It almost looked like a blush, but I did not comment on it.
Once we made our way to the dining room, shivers ran down my spine despite the sun that shone outside. âYouâre cold.â Law said as he glanced my way, his hand wrapped around his sword as he led the way. Iâll admit I would get lost around this boat, seeing how big it is; Which is why I was grateful for his presence, not just because he was pretty soothing to be around⊠no⊠Right he had said something-
Throwing him a glance I laughed a bit, âAh, Iâll warm up, donât you worry- maybe Iâll ask the little reindeer if he wants to cuddle, he does seem quite fluffy and warm-â I heard him say âShamblesâ, then saw something appear in his hands before he handed it to me.
âTony-ya is busy, just take this.â I hesitantly took his coat from his hands, brushing mine against his tattooed ones. Just like before, they were soft and I wanted to hold them a bit longer, which I accidentally did when I did not pull away with the coat right away and instead let my hand touch his. I observed his features, even though he looked away, but as seconds passed, he turned his face towards me with a scowl.
âAre you taking it or not?â He grumbled; his face still slightly red from the heat of the bathroom. âRight, yeah- yeah, thank you!â I said with a bit too much enthusiasm as I grabbed the coat and draped it over my shoulders before following him to the kitchen.
My face heated up at the same time my body did with the coat. It was nothing, he was just being careful so that he did not have to spend extra time on me if I did get sick from the cold. It wasnât a romantic gesture or anything, just a friend lending another friend some help⊠unfortunately.
Then, my mouth spoke faster than I could think and said, âItâs quite comfortable, if all your clothes are this comfortable, I might have to borrow them more often.â Why did I say that, was this flirting? Or was I joking? I did not even know, I had to stop talking. I was usually able to hold back from being like this, but maybe it was because I never had alone time with him? Usually the crew was always around, I could not let my guard down but right now it was just him and I, and my stupid idiotic heart wanted to come clean, but no.
Hearing him sigh, I felt like I had made a mistake and was about to apologize when I heard him say, âI would not mind. You look cute like this.â Then he sped off and went to talk to the blond cook.
As Law spoke with the cook, I stood at the entrance of the kitchen, baffled. Had he said cute? Me? No, it was probably more of a, cute like a child wearing their parentsâ clothes, right? But still⊠cute? Shaking myself out of my reverie I looked up and joined the men in the kitchen by Lawâs instruction, or more by his gesture of me to step inside, which I did. The table was full, everyone was drinking and eating to their heartâs content, the skeleton however moved from his seat and slithered towards the thief, Nami was her name. He asked her something I couldnât hear but the woman beat him up for it, which startled me.
âAre they always like this?â I asked as I leaned towards Law, I felt pride burst in my chest when he chuckled lowly but I did not show it.
âTheyâre loud.â He simply said. I could only hum in agreement, loud was one word, they were merry, rowdy, loud indeed, but also⊠welcoming.
One of the men around the table was pretty talkative and from what I could hear, he was only spurring bullshit but the youngest of the bunch seemed to believe all that he was saying. My observation was cut short when Law pulled me towards the kitchen, instead of just standing in the dining room, and asked Sanji for a serving each. The blond cook served us before doing a bee line and going straight to the two women at the table, asking them, enamored, if they needed anything.
âHeâs quite⊠vocal with his- uh⊠affection, isnât he?â I said hesitantly.
Law didnât answer, but we both sat at the island that was facing the oven and started eating in silence. At least, in as much silence as possible when the entire Straw Hats crew was having a blast during their dinner.
âHoi, Torao!!â Luffy called out.
Law put down his fork with an annoyed grunt and looked over his shoulder at the other Captain. âWhat.â A wide grin spread on his face, Luffy shoved more food in his mouth before speaking; Using the bone in his hand, he pointed at Law, then at me,
âAre you both dat-â the energetic captain was interrupted when hands appeared all over his body, and face.
Nico Robin had used her power to make him shut up, for some reason. The ginger woman peeped in a bit embarrassed, âWhat Luffy meant to ask was, are you both- enjoying the food? Sanji makes the best food!â she asked with a big smile.
I was a bit confused, but nodded. âItâs very good, you have a very talented cook in you crew.â I said in all politeness, in the background the blond cook almost had heart-eyes at the compliment from the ginger. Next to me, Law sighed and grabbed the slice of bread from his tray then dropped it on mine, not commenting on the short interaction that that happened with the Straw Hats.
I smiled at that before remarking, âStill not a fan of bread, I see.â
Looking at his plate, he did not reply, instead he shrugged.
âIâll be your designated bread eater, donât worry.â With the fork in his mouth, he smiled slightly while I tore the bread before dipping it in the sauce. Although the crew behind us seemed to be whispering a lot, I was mostly focus on not letting it anything slip through my actions, anything crush-related. I focused hard on keeping thing casual, cool, composed.
However, to my captain, I was just taking too long eating. He had finished rather quickly and was now waiting with his arms crossed over his chest. âAre you almost done?â he asked impatiently. Surprised by his demeanor, I looked at him with my mouth full of bread and quirked a brow before swallowing, âYou can go, Iâm almost done anyway-â
âItâs ok, Iâll wait. Then youâll follow me.â Could his words be any more ominous? Instead of leaving, like I had suggested, he did as he said and stayed until I finished. But he seemed restless, he kept glancing behind us at the Straw Hats every time they would mutter a word remotely close to either my name, or his, or even to our crew. Instead of asking him what got him so on edge, I finished my plate then stood up, earning a surprised face from the swordsman.
With my plate in hand, I gave a curt nod to Law, telling him I was done then put it in the sink before pulling at his sleeve once. âWhere shall we go O captain my captain-â
âI already told you to stop calling me that,â He grumbled.
Instead of telling him I was just fooling around, I could not control myself I teased a bit, âRight, Toraoâ The speed at which he faced me made me snort without an ounce of charm, I put a hand to my mouth and looked to the side. The expression on his face was even more priceless, âNot you too-â seeing how distressed it made him, albeit how funny it was, I nudged his side as we walked and interrupted him.
âKidding, kidding, Law, Trafalgar Law- but you know Torao is much more fun-â his deadly glare made me change the route I was taking with my words, âBut Law is badass, youâre badass, Law it is. I guess itâs cute too.â I shrugged.
He cleared his throat before walking ahead, we quickly reached the outside deck where Caesar was tied up; I had only now realized the man was there. âHey, whatâs he doing here? Shouldnât he be thrown into the ocean or something?â I inquired as we made our way closer to the annoying stand-user.
âI thought you did not like revenge.â Law commented jokingly, I threw him a glance but couldnât keep it long seeing how gorgeous he looked with that smile of his. Swearing under my breath, I looked back at the pale man who had an almost pleading face.
âFor him I would make an exception though. Definitely.â I stated, earning a laugh from my captain as he put his sword down against the mast.
âWe need him alive in the meantime,â he then quickly explained to me the importance of the man, and although I understood I did not like the idea of him being on our ship. But I was not about to throw their plan off just because I hated him, so I nodded.
âAlright then, we just, what? Watch over him?â The raven-haired man nodded before sitting down on the floor, leaning his head against the mast. Shrugging off his coat, I threw it on him before sitting next to him, more likely slumping next to him; A bit too violently too, considering the pain I felt on my backside when I hit the floor, but I ignored it.
âThis sounds fun. Crew bonding, love me some bond.â I closed my eyes a moment, pondering why I said that, but only for a moment before opening them again when I felt a weight on my lap; It was Lawâs coat, the same one I had threw back at him. âI- Iâll ask inside if they have a spare blanket, not that I donât like your coat but, itâs a coat, and clearly itâs not practical.â
âYou can sleep inside if you want, watching over this idiot is not the most entertaining thing-â Since I had stood, I couldnât see his face due to his cap, so as I interrupted him, I took it off his head and frowned. He did groan at my actions, not liking it one bit, but I still spoke.
âI said, bonding time. Iâm not about to let you and that moron alone. Plus, I would not miss an opportunity to sleep under the starry sky, with you nonetheless-â I stopped dead in my tracks and winced, I should really shut up because the more time I spent around him, the more my tongue would slip. With as much composure I could muster, I turned around and told him I was going to go get a blanket. Once inside, the hubbub from earlier as we ate, had slowly quieted down, all that could be heard was piano being played in the background as they talked together.
Entering the dining area, everyone around the table was asleep but Robin, Franky and Sanji; Nami and Usopp were nowhere to be seen, while the captain and his right hand-man were asleep with their head on the table, and youngest of the crew being asleep on his chair. The skeleton however, was the one playing the piano, he seemed in a sort of nostalgia as he played his tune, so I did not hover and entered discretely.
âHi, can I bother you real quick?â I asked softly,
Sanji who was enthralled by the black-haired woman in front of him only hummed in response as he puffed smoke. âDo you have any spare blankets, since Iâll be watching over Caesar Clown with Law-â The cyborg leaned on the table, smiling brightly, the way he rolled his râs as he spoke made me smile, âHow romantic! I didnât think Torao was like that-â Nico Robin pulled him down, so that he was sitting again, then she whispered something to him in a hushed yet urgent manner. It calmed him down as he looked to the side, a bit red.
âYes, we have spare blankets. Theyâre in the hall, come on Iâll show you.â
Thanking her, I was startled to see the skeleton standing at the door with his hands over his âcheeksâ, but stopped before bumping into him. âHow beautiful, young love- I do believe I have a song that could fit the mood if youâd like. Ahh it has been a while since I played the violin but it could-â As he opened his skull and started rummaging through it, he got interrupted,
âBrook! Please,â Nico Robin widened her eyes then gestured for him to go back inside the dining room, which he did after closing his skull, albeit a bit confused. I could feel my whole body burning in embarrassment, for months I had kept this crush a secret and now, everyone knew? Or perhaps I thought it was a secret, but I was obvious and the crew was playing along- it must be it.
âStill thinking?â The gentle voice of Robin reached my ear, I blinked a few times and looked at her, a bit lost. Humming in response, I stopped when she did,
âI guess I am, uh? I think Iâll ask him to stargaze.â she chuckled softly before handing be two blankets and pillows then turning around.
âWait up- wait miss Robin- Robin, just Robin. Right.â She paused, smiling and cocked her head to the side, curious. I was hesitant, squeezing the blanket tighter; Taking a long breath, I sighed, âHow- I mean, should I flirt? With⊠Law, I just donât know what to do. I would usually talk to Bepo but-â
âYou should, if you feel comfortable doing so.â
I made a face in response, then decided against it. âYeah, no⊠youâre right, I shouldnât. I should keep things professional- it would be awkward if he rejected me, youâre right.â Before the woman in front of me could speak, I turned around and rushed off, hearing a confused âI did not say that at allâ in the back.
I just give him his stuff, then sit down, and shut up. Yep. Easy. âI got everything; the entire Straw Hat crew is exhausted it seems. I canât really blame them though,â I said off-handedly as I arrived. âDo they often sleep in such random places?â I wondered as I sat down next to Law, opening the blanket wide and covering both us with it. Considering that we had 2 blankets, I could have given him one, and one for myself too, but I decided to put both on both of us.
âThey are quite special, Iâm sure theyâll wake up and move to their bed soon enough.â At the same time, he did, I grabbed the blanket to pulled it higher, and our hands grazed. Like a high-schooler I reacted stupidly and giggled like an idiot. âMy bad, ah, yep you- you do you.â It was not the right thing to say, nor the bad one either. But it sucked for sure.
Change the topic, just do it. âI have an extra blanket if you need it-â turning around to face him for the first time, I suppose I had been avoiding his gaze for unknown reasons, I saw he had taken his hat off. And I huffed a laugh, in surprise. âYour hair itâs-â
Annoyed, he ran his hands through his hair, grumbling, perhaps trying to tame it. âNo, no, itâs good- itâs fine, itâs actually adorable, I just rarely see you without the hat and- no I like it, just surprised.â He mumbled something I didnât quite heart adding a scoff to it. Curious, I asked him to repeat but he only scowled, telling me that it was nothing.
âIf youâre sureâŠâ there was a short silence, so I spoked again, âI really meant it as a compliment, I really like it-â covering my mouth with his hand, he sighed,
âI get it, I get it, will you sleep now?â Raising my brows, confused, but nodded and grabbed his hand to pull it away from my face. For a second, I did not let it go and considered holding it; It could be a subtle way to try right? I could hold his gentle hand and feel the warmth-
âIs there a problem?â
Dropping his hand quickly, I shook my head and looked up the stars instead of him. âNo, yeah, there- nothing. Wake me up when you want to sleep, weâll take turns, alright?â I muttered as I started sliding to the ground; Although he hummed in agreement, I knew he would not, so I gave him a dirty look,
âI mean it, you also need some sleep. I can manage that chained-up stupid scientist- no, you know what Iâll take the first turn actually. Or else, I know you wonât wake me up.â I said quickly, pulling myself up so that my back was aligned with the mast and I was sitting straight. Law tsked and told me to stop acting cute, I needed to sleep and he was not going to let me fuck my sleep like that.
âIs that so? Did you even sleep since you got back from Punk Hazard? Mm?â he seemed taken aback for a second, seeing the surprised expression on his face was rare, but I had grown to like it for some reason.
âYou think youâll be able to take on Doflamingo, if your body is as exhausted as your mind?â After I said that, he frowned, his mouth slightly open as if he was about to say something but instead decided against it. âCome on Law, for a doctor you really donât give two fucks about your health-â
âIâm not letting you watch over this moron on your own, I donât care if I donât sleep. Some things are more important.â I would have smiled at how stubborn he was, but at the same time I wanted to hit him for being a dumbass.
âYouâre exhausting, and exhausted, I can see it. But alright. How about this, we watch over him until someone else takes the shift, then we go sleep, together-â I stopped at the use of word, seeing how he quirked a brow I could see he was no entirely convinced by my choice of words either. âTogether like- both of us weâll go sleep, somewhere but not like together, more like- hey you get what Iâm saying, just, letâs fuck our sleep more, then fix it, you know?â His beautiful laughed sounded like a melody to my ears, making my cheeks heat up lightly at being able to get this out of him.
And he agreed, strangely. The night was long, a few times I felt my head lull backwards or to the side; When itâd hit the mast, I would straighten myself right away, however when it would hit Lawâs shoulders, he wouldnât say anything. It was only after minutes of being in this state, between asleep and awake, that I would realize and wake up quickly. I would berate him, jokingly, and his only response was a shrug, however I could see a slight smirk in the corner of his lips as he did so.
Itâs like in his head he was telling me âI told you soâ like he felt proud for being still awake, while I was clearly slowly falling asleep. The sun could not arrive sooner, around what felt like five or six in the morning, noise could be heard inside the boat, more than the usual creaking noises a boat made. The sound of people walking around, getting prepared, all of it. I was getting excited to finally be able to go to sleep very soon. [Part 3]

Law stood on the deck of the Polar Tang, Bepo at his side, as the ship ambled into the East Harbor of Dressrosa. While the ship could have remained underwater until much closer to the dock, Law wanted to show Doffy that he wasnât hiding, so heâd ordered the Tang to surface early. Dressrosa was a country Law could have seen himself enjoying, had Doflamingo not ruled with a façade of generosity and warmth while hiding a dark, cold underbelly. As it was, the sight of the familiar island made his stomach turn.
There was a lone figure waiting at the dock.
âBe careful,â Bepo said as the ship eased to a stop and dropped anchor.
âYou too,â Law replied, hopping down from the ship to the dock. He adjusted his grip on Kikoku and greeted his visitor. âViolet.â
âCorazon,â she replied. âWelcome back.â
Law inclined his head and fell into step with her as they headed toward the city. He chanced one final glance back at the TangâBepo was securing the ship to the dockâbefore shifting his focus to the task at hand.
âDid he send you to meet me?â he asked.
âYes, but I would have come anyway.â
When Law had first arrived in Dressrosa at 17, it had taken some time to find his footing among the Family again after four years. Not only had the operation grown significantly since Spider Miles, but Lawâs own reluctance to return after his disappearance with a traitor to the Family hung like a noose around his neck. The executives and officers had been loath to trust him, though Doffy had overruled their concerns, and werenât shy about taking out their suspicions on him and his crew. For the longest time, the only member of the Family he could stomach being around was Baby 5; theyâd picked up their antagonistic but affectionate dynamic almost immediately upon Lawâs return, which provided Law a small measure of comfort in its familiarity.
At first after arriving, Law had lashed outâhis frustration exploding out of him when he couldnât contain it any longer, usually as a result of the goading of the other executivesâbut when Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo had been punished rather than Law himself, heâd withdrawn into himself to protect them. Heâd trained and studied and completed missions, but heâd shown little interest in living beyond the minimum required of him, despite the attempts of his friends to pull him out of it. Even Doflamingo had tried without success to bring some life to his protĂ©gĂ©âheâd gifted Law Kikoku in the hope that the challenge of mastering a cursed blade might inspire him; heâd mastered the sword, but it hadnât done much to liven him up.
Despite her wariness of anyone associated with the Family, Violet had been the only one to reach out to Law during his withdrawn period and actually reach him. After about a year into Lawâs return, sheâd read him often enough for Doflamingo to recognize a kindred spirit in the future Corazon. Three years apart in age, theyâd both been shanghaied into the Familyâs service due to their useful abilities with the threat of violence against their loved ones hanging over their heads if they were to rebel.
Her cynicism after the fall of her familyâs rule was an equal match for Lawâs, and they both had dark senses of humor forged from their circumstances. Violet was also well-read and intellectually curious, so their conversations kept Law on his toes. They found comfort in one another, which made life on Dressrosa bearable enough for Law to slowly emerge from his shell.
Though some of the executives and officers had been concerned with a friendship between the two people with the most reason to betray the Family, Doffy had been amusedâeven pleased. In the last year, heâd floated the idea of the two marrying to tie Dressrosa more formally to the Family; after all, though Doflamingo was a Warlord with government immunity and his own family name tying him to the kingdom, many other kingdoms still considered him an interloper. Having his second married to the former crown princess would be politically advantageous.
âHe wants you to read me. To catch me lying,â Law said, coming to a stop. Violet stopped next to him and nodded. âGo ahead then.â He knew sheâd need to be able to give Doffy something useful.
Violet frowned. âAre you sure?â
Law just shrugged. âNo need to give him more reason to doubt.â
Violet pursed her lips but put her fingers to her eyes and used her Fruit to read Lawâs thoughts and memories. After a few moments, she dropped her hands. âThe Isle of Women. Really?â she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Law snorted and started walking again. Violet fell in beside him, her heels clacking on the cobblestones as they made their way toward the distant palace. âAll we saw was the coastline. Much to the crewâs disappointment.â
âAnd you still donât know why you did it.â Her tone was skeptical.
Law glanced sideways at her. âYou read my thoughts, Princess.â
She rolled her eyes, as she always did when he called her that. âYou took a serious risk, saving that boy. And for what?â
âThat remains to be seen, I suppose.â
âI hope it was worth it,â Violet said, something dark underlying her words.
As they walked, Dressrosans bowed and murmured their names as they passed. Law paid them no mind, though he knew the deference to her alias as an officer of the Family bothered Violet by the tightening of her eyes.
âHowâs Doffy been?â Law asked after a few quiet moments.
âFurious,â she replied. âBut you already knew that.â She bit her lip briefly, a nervous habit of hers. âHis mood has improved since you called a week ago, though.â
âThatâs not good.â It meant heâd made a decision about how to deal with Law, and that didnât bode well for him.
âDoubtful,â she agreed. âBut I donât know what heâs up to.â
Law had once asked her if sheâd ever tried using her abilities on Doflamingo, but the look sheâd given him in response had been withering. âWhat kind of fool do you take me for?â sheâd demanded.
âAnd the crew I left behind?â Law asked, dread pooling in his gut. âHow are they?â
âFine, as far as I know.â
The relief that washed over him was short-lived as Law realized it simply meant they would be punished alongside the rest of the crew now that everyone was back.
He nodded stiffly, and they fell into silence once more as they walked. Unlike other silences with the Family, though, it was comfortable. He didnât have anything to prove to Violet. Once they arrived at the palace, they headed into the courtyard.
âOh, look whoâs back,â Baby 5 said, hand going to her hip as the pair walked in. âItâs about time, Corazon!â
Law rolled his eyes at her. âDid I miss any more ill-fated romances while I was gone, Baby?â
âShut up!â she snapped around her cigarette. âHe needed me!â
Law opened his mouth to retortâthe banter familiar and comfortingâbut he was cut off by his least favorite executive. âNe, ne, Corazon. Doffy is in the Suit Room. I wouldnât keep him waiting. Behehe,â he chuckled, clearly pleased that Law was going to face consequences for what heâd done.
Law flipped him off, which only made the slime bucket laugh harder. Taking a steadying breath, Law turnedâbriefly meeting Violetâs gazeâand headed into the palace toward the Suit Room. Doffy would know of his arrival by now, so Trebol, as annoying as he was, was right about not keeping the king of Dressrosa waiting.
Once he reached the door, Law raised his free hand and rapped on the shut door twice. A moment later, it opened. Law schooled his features and stepped inside. Doflamingo sat by the window, across from the four seats of his top executives.
âIâve returned, Young Master,â Law said, trying to assess the other manâs mood with little luck.
âCorazon. Come.â
Law made his way to the Heart seat and sat down, resting Kikoku against the chair. When he looked back up, Doflamingo was watching him, expression inscrutable behind those glasses. Law let the part of him that was Corazon take over, pushing the other parts of him aside. This part of him didnât concern himself with the two men whoâd claimed this seat before him or cower in the face of the man who had dominated his nightmares for more than a decade. His back straightened and he raised his chin as the mask slid into place. He also knew better than to speak before the king.
âI trust there were no more⊠detours on your return home,â Doflamingo said after a pregnant pause.
âNo, we made good time,â Law replied evenly.
Doflamingo nodded and pushed himself to his feet. He towered over Law even when Law was standing; when Law was sitting, he was downright dwarfed by the other man. But Corazon, the captainâs second in command, was not bothered by that.
âYouâve caused me quite a bit of trouble with the World Government.â Heâd said as much during the call a week earlier. âIâve smoothed everything over, with no little effort.â
âMy apologies, Young Master. It was not my intention to cause you problems.â
Doflamingo stepped into Lawâs space, leaning over him. âAnd what was your intention?â The tension bleeding from that last work was palpable.
Corazon knew the importance of telling the truth in this interaction; still, Law hesitated, knowing Doflamingo wouldnât like the answer. âI donât know why I did it. I just acted.â
Doflamingo leaned over, placing his massive hands on the arms of the Heart seat, enclosing Law in his presence. âYou donât know,â he repeated, as if testing the words to see how they tasted. âYou just acted.â His features tightened. âThat doesnât sound like you, Corazon.â
âI know.â Law preferred to plan for every contingency, plans on top of plans and every possibility considered before he made a moveâall the years of evening games of chess with Doflamingo had drilled into him the importance of tacticsâbut heâd thrown all of that out for a feeling.
âYou know I donât like questioning the loyalty of my subordinatesâespecially my righthand man.â
âI know.â
âAnd yet,â he went on, as if Law hadnât spoken, âhow I can do anything but when my second comes out of the sea to save not one but two enemies of the World Government from the battlefield?â
âI will accept the consequences of my actions,â Law said, doing his best to keep his voice even. âMy loyalty has not changed.â
Doflamingo stepped back, huffing a wry laugh. âNow that I believe.â He shook his head to himself. âGet yourself cleaned up. Weâre taking a trip this evening.â
Law blinked in surprise at the sudden dismissal but nodded. âYes, Young Master.â He grabbed Kikoku and rose. He was halfway to the door when his haki flared and he felt the air shift. But he was too slow in reacting.
A massive hand pressed suddenly against the back of his neck, shoving him forward into the closed door. Law let out a startled gasp as the air left his chest. Doflamingo draped himself over Lawâs back, his lips by Lawâs ear. Law did his best to suppress his instinct to fight back.
Doflamingoâs breath was warm and moist on Lawâs skin as he murmured, âIt wouldnât be appropriate for the rabble to see an executive punished. But I canât let insubordination stand either.â
Lawâs breath hitched as Doflamingo spun him around so his back was pressed against the door. The hand that had been holding him immobile wrapped around his throat. It squeezed, cutting off Lawâs breath. Lawâs eyes widened and his free hand clawed at Doflamingoâs wrist on instinct, but the Warlord continued to squeeze. Black encroached on Lawâs vision as his lungs screamed for air. His head spun and Kikoku slipped from his weaking grip.
Finally, when Law thought he would pass out, Doflamingo released him.
Law gasped greedily for air as his legs gave out from under him and he brought both hands to his neck, wincing at the tenderness. Once his breath had returned to semi-normal, he looked up at Doflamingo.
âNever forget who holds your life and the lives of your crew, Law.â Again, heâd purposefully used Lawâs name. âNow go clean yourself up.â
Law took a steadying breath and nodded. He grabbed Kikoku and used her to push himself unsteadily to his feet. âBy your leave, Young Master,â he croaked, throat feeling like heâd swallowed broken glass, as he opened the door and stumbled into the hallway toward his room.
-----
Viola entered the Suit Room when Doflamingo summoned her; his meeting with Law must have ended already, as he was alone. She kept her eyes on the usurper as she approached, knowing why she had been summoned. She stopped a respectable distance in front of the Warlord.
âDoffy,â she greeted, bowing her head.
âViolet. You read Corazon upon his arrival.â It wasnât a question.
âI did.â Sheâd been ordered to do so, and she followed her orders to keep her family safe.
âHe says he doesnât know why he saved Straw Hat.â Again, it wasnât a question. Still, he was expecting an answer.
âTrue,â Viola confirmed. In Lawâs memories, sheâd felt the tug in his chest that had guided him, but he hadnât understood what it was or what it was telling him. âHe acted on instinct.â
Doflamingo frowned, looking out the window. âItâs not like him.â
âHeâs been wondering about his actions since that day,â Viola said, hoping she might buy Law even the smallest amount of leniency if she confirmed his story. She kept the truth of Lawâs name and its connection to the other boy to herself, though. Heâd confided in her about that secret name years earlier and the danger he would be in if Doflamingo found out about it.
âWhere was he?â
âAmazon Lily.â She couldnât say she didnât know something so prominent in his memories. âBoa Hancock seems to have a soft spot for Straw Hat Luffy.â
Doflamingo barked a surprised laugh at that. âInteresting.â He seemed to file that information away for later. âAnd his loyalty?â
âUnchanged.â
That much was true; Law, like Viola herself, hadnât been truly loyal to the Family since sheâd known him, but his desire for the safety of his crew and his willingness to do whatever it took to protect them had been a constant since he was 17 and newly arrived in Dressrosa. Saving Straw Hat Luffy hadnât changed that.
Doflamingo smiled, but there was no warmth in it. âIt seems he was honest with me, then.â He glanced back at Viola. âKeep an eye on him. Shouldnât be hard since he enjoys your company.â
Viola frowned at the implication but quickly schooled her expression. âOf course.â
-----
When Law reached his room, he found his belongings had already been brought up from the Polar Tang. As he shucked off his clothes and hopped in the shower, he wondered where his crew was. Had they been allowed to return to their rooms? Shaking his head, he washed the travel from his skin and hair. Once clean, he wrapped a towel around his waist, and, on the way back into his room, caught a glimpse of his reflection in the mirror.
He grimaced, fingers lightly tracing the already-purpling marks on his neck. He knew the marks would be visible for days, and his voice would be rough for about as long. He could use his powers to accelerate the healing, but that would defeat the entire point of the exercise, and Law knew better than that.
Executives had to appear above reproach in the eyes of the public to keep up the illusion of their absolute power, so Doffy couldnât punish him publicly, but the evidence of punishment would show Lawâs actions had been dealt with. But Law also knew some ugly bruises around his neck wouldnât be the only punishment; at this point, however, he could only worry about what would be done to his crew, as they were Doffyâs primary means of keeping Law in line.
With a scowl, he returned to his room and pulled some clothes nicer than his typical jeans and a hoodie that Doflamingo insisted he have for formal events from his closet. The fabric was light since Dressrosa was a summer island, and Law made sure not to choose anything that would cover his neck; Doflamingo, sadist that he was, would want his handiwork on display.
Grabbing Kikoku, Law gave himself a final once-over; satisfied, he left his room. Heâd just turned the corner when he nearly ran headfirst into Baby 5. She opened her mouth, undoubtedly to snarl something unkind at him, but the words died on her lips as her gaze dropped to Lawâs neck. Her eyes widened.
âWhat?â Law demanded, hating the rasp in his voice.
Baby shook herself before looking Law in the eye again. âThe Young Master told me to find you. Heâs waiting in the courtyard.â
Law frowned at that. He could have sensed Doffy himself with his haki; there was no reason to send Baby as a messengerâexcept to make sure she saw Doffyâs handiwork up close. Law ground his teeth but nodded at Baby.
âThanks.â
She gaped at him as he stepped past her. âSeriously?â
Law paused with a tired sigh. âWhat?â
She narrowed her eyes at him. âSince when do you thank me, Corazon?â
Law rolled his eyes. âIt wonât happen again if thatâs the reaction Iâm going to get.â He made to start walking again.
âWait.â
Law stopped and looked at her expectantly. Baby swallowed and reached a tentative hand toward his neck. Law flinched but didnât stop her gentle touch to the purpling handprints. Her fingers were ghost-light as she touched the marks.
âAre you okay?â she asked quietly.
Law looked away, unable to deal with the genuine concern in her expression. âIâm fine.â
âCoraâ Law.â
Law started and looked back at Baby. What was with people using his name lately? âWhat?â
âJust. Be careful. I donât know why you did what you did, but the Young MasterâŠâ She trailed off, biting her lip.
Law took Babyâs hand in his grip, gently pulling it away from his neck, and nodded. âI know,â he said, not unkindly. He let go of her hand.
Baby dropped her hand and watched him, uncertain.
âI shouldnât keep Doffy waiting,â Law said, and Baby jerked.
âDamn right, asshole,â she said, though her voice lacked any heat.
Lawâs lips twitched and he headed for the courtyard, feeling Babyâs eyes on his back. When he entered the courtyard, Doflamingo appraised him. When he was satisfied with what he saw, gaze noticeably lingering on Lawâs throat, he rose from his seat.
âThere you are, Corazon. Come, weâre going out.â
Law nodded, ignoring Trebolâs knowing look. He didnât speak, not wanting the sentient snot to hear his broken voice, instead simply falling in a half step behind Doflamingo, the appropriate place for his second. A carriage was waiting just outside the palace gates, and the two men entered and took their place across from one another.
Law remained silent as the royal carriage wound its way through the familiar streets of the capital, looking out the window and considering the direction they were taking.
âYou havenât asked where weâre going,â Doflamingo finally commented.
Law turned to the king. âWould you have answered?â
Doflamingo smirked, and Law had a feeling at least part of his amusement was at the sound of his voice. âNo,â he allowed. âItâs a surprise.â
Law nodded, having assumed as much. He returned his gaze to the window, though his thoughts were with his crew and not the city they were meandering through. Violet had said Ikkaku, Clione, and Uni were unharmed, but how much longer would that last? What had happened to the rest of his crew once theyâd disembarked the Polar Tang?
He was pulled from his thoughts when the carriage came to a halt. Law blinked when he realized where they were.
Law looked back at Doflamingo with a sinking feeling that he couldnât explain. âThe Colosseum?â
Doflamingo simply nodded and gestured toward the carriage door. âLetâs go.â
Law had little choice but to do as he was bidden, so he followed Doflamingo out of the carriage. The king was in his element as he greeted his adoring public. Law fell into place behind the other man and followed him inside to the kingâs private box.
His hackles went up when he saw Diamante waiting inside the box. The executive gave Law an appraising look before nodding at Doflamingo. âDoffy,â he greeted. âEverything is ready.â
âGood.â
Doflamingo sat and nodded for Law to take the seat to the kingâs right. Law did as he was bidden, and Diamante took his place to Doffyâs left. Law looked out over the amphitheater to see, as usual, a large crowd of raucous citizens. The Corrida Colosseum was the premier entertainment in Dressrosa, after all.
âWelcome to this special event at the Corrida Colosseum!â the commentator, Gatz, announced. âToday, we will see fighters from around Dressrosa get the opportunity to earn their freedom or even join the Donquixote Family by defeating a member of Corazonâs own crew, the Hearts!â

Saviour : Chapter 14
"We got away successfully." Luffy said holding a luggage in his hands.
After the boys were done with their training with Garp. The boys appeared with swelled up faces, cuts and bruises all over their body.
Emilia had to apologise for quite a amount of time which was responded with Ace and Sabo frowning and Luffy crying. But of course they couldn't be too mad at her. They would probably do the same plus she was the one who needs to treat their injury.
But one thing was clear. If they stay with Dadan, Garp who knows the location will visit and do these trainings again. And they really doubt they would survive it.
So they made a decision to leave the place and stand of their own feet and make a new place of their own.
After packing up and leaving a small note to the bandits, they were out in the forest searching for a proper place to stay.
"They aren't coming to find us." Sabo said grinning.
Ace then looked back ."She must be really happy now that her troubles are gone!" Ace grinned.
"You really think so?" Emilia asked as she smiled looking at Ace's direction. "Because for me it looks like she just has a hard time showing her real feelings."
"Huh? Of course not! She probably hates us" Ace said as he started walking away.
"Really?"
"No doubt!"
"Huh?" Sabo said as he touched his face after feeling a drop of liquid in his face "It's raining!"
"What a bad timing!" Luffy complained. "Let's run!"
And no sooner, they found a cave under a huge tree which provided enough space to stay.
"This is exciting." Luffy grinned from ear to ear. The childeren all leaned against each other to keep them warm and soon all of them fell asleep.
....
Emilia woke up as she felt a shuffle near her. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the figure. It was Sabo.
Emilia then stood up and patted her clothes to remove the dirt. She then walked towards Sabo who was outside looking up. "Sabo?"
Sabo smiled as he kept staring up. "Hey Emilia." He said as he finally turned towards her direction. "How about we make our house here?"
Emilia looked up at the direction Sabo was staring at and saw a large tree which had equally large branches, which she didn't really notice in the rain yesterday. "I think it's a great idea. The branches also looks sturdy so we don't have a problem of it breaking."
Sabo laughed and said. "I'll  make the blueprint, but I'll probably need you help."
Emilia looked at Sabo as he started working on the blue print. Since the boys don't really do much other than fight ,she kind of forgot that Sabo was really smart.
Emilia did give him a few pointers but then the majority he pretty much did it himself. Emilia did have a whole life and adding this one made her smart but then the blond boy who was almost done with his blue print was naturally intelligent.
After a while Ace and Luffy also woke up and stared at Sabo's completed blueprint.
"I designed our hideout. We can't sleep outdoors forever, right?" Sabo said as he explained his blue print. "So we gotta build a hide out right here."
"What about the materials?" Ace questioned.
"We can get them from Grey Terminal." Emilia suggested, to which all of them agreed.
After that these children rummaged and took alot of materials which they thought they could use. The first day all of them went to get materials but after a while Emilia and Sabo stayed back and started building while Luffy and Ace collected some more materials. And when they thought the materials were enough all of the started building together.
And after 2 weeks ,which is an astonishing rate, they completed the tree house.
"Awesome. It looks exactly like the design." Luffy said with a grin, astonished.
"Even I have to say, we did a great job." Sabo continued. He looked toward Ace and noticed that the latter had a serious look on his face. "What's wrong,Ace?"
"This is a hideout so we gotta set up some traps."
......
Emilia was sleep along with the rest in their all new tree house. That was until she felt a presence approaching thing making her wake up.
Upon focusing on it more she realised that the person was Dadan. Knowing that the woman is no threat, and is most probably here to check how they were doing, Emilia went back to sleep.
Dadan let out a huge sigh after finally climbing the tree. Damn those kids, picking the largest tree to make the house. Dadan thought as she walked towards the door of the house and looked inside.
"When they're sleeping, they look like normal kids." Dadan said with a grin, looking at the children with a kind expression. Just the Luffy turned in his sleep making the blanket fall.
"Oh no! You'll catch a cold." Dadan worried walked inside to cover Luffy with his blanket but as soon as she steped inside, she felt her feet being caught on a rope, activating the trap Ace had laid out.
The trap made a huge hammer to swing by making Dadan fly away.
Dadan who was now on the ground after a nasty fall cursed under her breath and then slowing stood up.
"Ouch!" Dadan said as she walked away. "I'll never worry about them again!"
"Dadan!" A small voice called out.
"Huh." Dadan looked back and saw Emilia running towards her.
"Here." Emilia pulled out a small package and handed it to Dadan.
"What is this, brat? Ointments again?" Dadan said looking everywhere but Emilia. Did she see me coming to their house? The woman thought, panicking.
"Thank you for always looking after us, Dadan." Emilia said.
"Huh?! I just came to make sure you guys didn't get eaten by the tiger." Dadan said as she swiped the ointment from Emilias hand and walked away muttering about not wanting Garp to get angry.
Emilia smiled at Dadan. Ace, I still think Dadan doesn't hates us and on contrary I think it's the opposite. Emilia thought.
Emilia also turned away and started walking back to their base. "But I'm sure you also know it, since you were looking the entire time." She whispered to herself, looking at a certain part of the tree house, where Ace was previously standing.

âMonkey D. Luffy!â
With a resounding bang, the door to the galley is kicked open by black dress shoes. Sanji stomps out on Sunnyâs lawn to find it utterly deserted: the crew is around, eight distinct presences buzzing at the periphery of his Haki, just out of sight. Above, their flag flutters softly in the wind andâ
There! A tuft of black hair peeks from the window of the crowâs nest, two wide eyes glancing down and right at him before vanishing altogether. The monotonous grunting of their resident sword-wielding idiot continues unfazed, â542⊠543âŠâ, and Sanji will deal with him later.
âOh, Captain?â
Sanjiâs voice is inviting, sticky-sweet like the candies he makes for Chopper. Luffy reappears like the gullible fool he is, eyes alight with curiosity. âSanji?â
One swift kick to the main mast â Bro, not cool! echoes from Frankyâs workshop below deck â and Luffyâs grip slips. Sanji lights a cigarette and draws just as much satisfaction from the first smoke-filled breath as he does from the sight of Luffy crashing face-first into the grass. A moment later, the remnants of what used to be a Luffy-proof padlock joins its murderer on the floor, teeth marks and warped shackle and all.
âExplain.â
The order is little more than a venomous hiss and Luffy sweats bullets, mouth opening around a long uhhh with nothing to follow it. âIt wasnât me?â
Nothing worthwhile, at least.
Sanji inhales deep for the sake of his nerves, snatches the cig between index and middle finger to point it accusingly at his captain and he lets loose: âI told you lunch is in an hourâ, and âItâs the third time this weekâ, and âAn hour, you shittyââ and thatâs as far as Sanji gets before his brain catches up to his words and his heart lurches against his ribsâ
And why is it that Luffyâs expression goes all hopeful up until that point?
Sanji falls silent and itâs a graceless, clumsy thing, the pause afterwards. His gaze searches for the mangled lock on the ground and he sighs.
âWhat do you want, Luffy? I can make you another bento if youâre hungry, just⊠Stop breaking the locks.â
Thereâs only two of those left, after all, and even if they weren't at high sea and the next island was just over the horizon, thereâs no way Sanji will tarnish Namiâs meticulously kept budget with that. Not when he already owes her something he doesnât know how to repay.
âOkay, Sanjiâ, Luffy says, hesitates, tells him: âYour bentos are the best!â Sounding so serious, like itâs a matter of life or death for Sanji to understand what Luffyâs saying.
Itâs weird is what it is. Just another thing that changed while Sanji wasnât looking, and it chafes against the scar tissue starting to take shape inside him. What would he give to turn back time and tell Capone Bege to take that invitation and go fuck himself with it instead ofâ
Itâs too late now. For that, and many other things.
Sanji looks anywhere but at Luffy â as if thatâs ever helped anybody escape that gaze, that uncanny perceptiveness that strikes like a thief cloaked in shadows â and he scratches at his wrist. Mumbles, âWhateverâ, and turns tail like the coward he is, slinking back to the only place things make sense anymore.
Luffyâs somber eyes follow him every step of the way there.
*
Despite everything, Sanji expects Luffy to tell on him.
The Sunnyâs swaying pace is familiar from the moment he stepped foot on deck, enough so that Sanji let himself be rocked into tentative relaxation as Big Momâs fleet turned into insignificant specks in the distance, then disappeared entirely. Luffy had yelled for food â voice raspy from exhaustion and whatever else heâd put himself through to get there in time, and Sanji swore himself heâd think about it later, later â and what kind of chef would Sanji be if he didnât deliver?
His kitchen had been a right mess, spotted with drops of purple-looking somethings and the traces of a fire made hazy by a thin layer of dust. It had taken everything Sanji had left in him not to burst into tears right then and there.
Home. Iâm home.
And so he cooked, and he hugged Chopper tight while the reindeer wailed incomprehensible words into his chest, and he accepted the tender pressure of hands on his back and arms swung around his shoulders and each and every soft-eyed smile gifted to him. Welcome back, some said it outright and some didnât; Zoroâs gaze had been steady when Sanji had finally met it over the heads of the crew, warm even, and the hairline fractures in Sanjiâs soul ached as they started to heal.
Even injured as he was, Luffyâs laugh was loud over it all. Love and light and everything Sanji will ever believe in, all poured into a grin only a rubber body could produce.
For a while, Sanji was fine. Not⊠over it, not okay by any meaning of the word but getting there, in his own way: Up by the crack of dawn and crawling back into his bunk around midnight, and the scratchiness of his covers and the comforting nothing-scent of his own pillow was enough then. Like the weeks he spent away, not-here, were a part of history so distant and unreachable only Robin would know how to recover it.
Then the new bounties dropped in his lap, quite literally, and one glance at his own shattered the rose-tinted world Sanji had just convinced himself was reality.
It hangs next to the others now, tacked between Strawhat Luffy and _God Usopp _for the first time since they all had bounties to display at all, and Sanji would be touched by being placed center stage if the letters on that poster didnât haunt every moment heâs spent in the menâs quarters since. He doesnât have the heart to tell Luffy to take it down, not after his captain had seen his skyrocketing bounty and practically shook out of his skin with excitement.
âA thousand people, I told you guys! About time they realize it, too. Right, Sanji?â
After the month heâs had, Sanji wouldnât have be above giving up the All Blue itself just to hear his captain sing him praises like that butâ
The name Vinsmoke was right _there, _written in ink for all the world to see, and Luffy was looking between it and him like Sanji hadnât kneeled at his feet a mere week ago, blind with tears and begging to be allowed back home. To return to the place at his side that he had been granted in a different ocean, a different life, and that heâd thrown away.
A decision he made with little to no alternatives yet Sanji regrets it all. He regrets the bandages that persist around Luffyâs waist, spotted with pink from a wound still healing, and the worried looks on his back that wrap themselves like blocks of concrete around his ankles. Dragging him down and under, and it doesnât matter how powerful his legs are Sanji canât outrun this. Not this time.
Not the first time, either, but the choice there had been between a cage and a future, and even as a child Sanji knew hope was worth living for, somehow, somewhere.
He let Luffy have the poster, then, stared at the number instead of the name and got a good rise out of the moss-headed swordsman that kept his mind off it all for most of the afternoon. By the time he went to bed that night, Sanji was exhausted enough that getting to his hammock was all he could focus on.
His dreams are not as kind as his body, however.
Sanji wakes with the taste of tears on his tongue and a cacophony of childish giggling in his ears, and for the first time in years he wonders, for all of a split-second, why his head isnât weighed down by iron.
*
The vegetables are neatly diced and the water near-boiling whenâ
âWhaaat?!â
âMonkey D. Luffyâs voice echoes across the ship loud enough Sanji starts and almost, almost cuts his finger instead of the entrecĂŽte heâs slicing off a cowâs ribcage in methodical motions. A curse is quick to come to the cookâs lips, cigarette glowing with the sigh he breathes before he washes the blood off his hands, turns off the stove and fridges the meat in the span of a few seconds.
Sanji is not the only one to follow the sound of the primal scream to the upper deck. There, they find Luffy staring open-mouthed between Nami and Robin, all crestfallen like they told him all stag beetles in the world have spontaneously gone extinct. Bleary-eyed from where he was obviously taking a nap, Zoro grumbles, âWhat the hell, are you serious?â, and it doesnât sound like heâs protesting the noise but what was said to cause it in the first place.
âIs something the matter?â, inquires Brook with mild-mannered concern in his voice; Franky flicks his sunglasses up to better survey the situation at hand and Chopper is already yelling, âA doctor! We need aââ before Usopp grabs the panicking reindeer and shushes him gently.
Yet itâs Sanji they stare at, four sets of eyes wide with trepidation and Sanjiâs heart drops to the soles of his shoes because yeah, it took longer than expected. Itâs still happening, though, and in a forgotten corner of his thoughts Sanji wonders which of his nightmares is coming true this time around.
Fear is quick to rise to his throat, a pressure that threatens to cut his very breath short. Sanji swallows it down and asks, âWhat?â, voice hard and defensive even to his own ears.
And just like that, the bubble bursts and Robin smiles, quiet and sad, and Nami looks away and Luffy waves his hands â âUh, nothing! Donât worry about it!â â and Zoroâs expression shutters so fast Sanji canât gleam anything at all from him.
Sanji opens his mouth to protest, to tell his captain exactly where he can shove that shitty lie of hisâ
Face after face his gaze touches and he realizes, with an instinct almost as old as himself, that they wonât tell. The others, yes, the meaningful look of later between Nami and Usopp is proof of that â not Sanji, though, she wonât tell him because Nami hasnât told him much of anything since he came back, and Sanji knows he deserves it. He deserves it all and still it hurts, his battered heart clenching just because it can, because it will always care about this handful of people he calls family in the solitude of his mind no matter if they want him around or not.
Thereâs alarm in Luffyâs eyes then, a quick burst of âSanji, waitââ and Sanji might understand why heâs not allowed but he doesnât have to stick around and beg for a confirmation. He has some pride left, after all.
âDinnerâs in an hourâ, he spits around his cigarette and turns away. His back is straight and his pace measured as he forces himself to descend the stairs one at a time andâ
âI said wait. Dinnerâs on us today, okay?â
âLuffyâ, warns Zoro quietly and Sanji neither wants nor needs his pity, either.
Luffy ignores him too, says, âIâm gonna be careful this time, I promiseâ, voice upbeat and gentle and everything Sanji doesnât want to hear. Usually Luffyâs promises are the stones that pave the way Sanji walks on but this, it twists in the hollow of his chest like a key turning in a lock.
Sanjiâs grip on the reiling is hard enough to make the wood creak. He lowers his head and says, âAye, Captainâ, and only later will he notice he forgot to put any sort of fight into those two words.
