𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐃 ?
Sabbath crew (individual) x g/n reader
Genre ; sfw (?)
Author note ; Hii of course i can without any problem, Im sorry Vinny is not in this one because it would have been too long for me :(
You had a race during a storm that finished a little too late, so you decided to stay in a hotel close to you for the night, only to discover there is only a room left, with a single bed…
𝐉𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐑 ( 𝐇𝐀𝐉𝐔𝐍 )
"You've got to be kidding me." were the only words you could find to say.
"I'm really sorry," the receptionist added quickly.
You pinched the bridge of your nose. "No, no. This can't— Is there anywhere else? A couch? A closet? A broom cupboard?"
The receptionist shook her head apologetically. "Afraid not."
Joker crossed his arms, a little embarrassed by this situation. "Hey, It's just one night, we can manage to make it work."
You shot him a look. "One night? One night with you in the same room?"
"Unless you'd rather sleep in the street."
For a moment, you genuinely considered it. Then the memory of the freezing temperatures outside made you groan in defeat.
"Fine. We'll share the room," you said, glaring at him. "But there are rules. You stay on your side and everything."
“I wasn’t planning to go on yours”
“Perfect than it’s settled, let’s just go to sleep.” It was a really exhausting race, and the only thing you two wanted, was going to sleep.
…
During the night, Joker noticed you were freezing, and that because of that, you couldn’t sleep.
“Are you cold ?” He simply says
“I’m okay, thanks for asking.” Actually, you were not, you were just too proud to admit it.
“Turn over, on your other side” As he says that, you could feel his hand on your shoulder.
The mattress sinks behind you, and you could suddenly feel his warm chest against your back
“Are you feeling better now ?” As he said this, you could feel his warm breath behind you hear
“Yeah…thank you..” you managed to say.
“You shouldn’t try to sleep now, we have another race tomorrow” he says, his voice fading away a little, sign that he was staring to fall asleep.
Maybe after all, this night wasn’t gonna be that bad.
𝐇𝐘𝐔𝐊 𝐊𝐖𝐎𝐍
The clerk handed over the key with a sheepish smile. “Apologies for the confusion, but it seems we only have one room left. And, uh… it’s got a single bed.”
You glanced at the clerk, then at Hyuk. “That’s fine with you ?”
“As long as i can sleep, i don’t see a problem.” Hyuk simply says, with his usual calm behaviour.
Hyuk grabbed the key before you could. “Guess it’s a good thing neither of us snores, huh?”
You shrugged. “Yeah, works for me.”
He pushed the door open and stepped inside. The room was small but neat, the single bed pushed up against the far wall. You tossed your things onto the floor and flopped into the chair by the window.
“You taking the left or the right side?” You asked, already pulling off your jacket.
“Doesn’t matter,” he said. “Just stay on your side, and we’re good.”
“Deal.”
The room settled into a comfortable silence, the kind that came easily between two people who didn’t feel the need to overthink things. You leaned back, watching as Hyuk unpacked a phone charger and stretched out on the bed like it was no big deal.
…
The first thing you became aware of when you woke up, was warmth. Not just the kind from the morning sunlight streaming through the curtains, but a, solid warmth beneath your cheek. Your eyes fluttered open, and it took you a second to process what you were seeing.
A shirt.
Not yours tho.
Your eyes trailed up, slowly and carefully, until you realized your head was resting on Hyuk’s chest, his arm loosely draped around your shoulders.
You’ve stopped breathing for a moment.
Oh no.
You froze, trying to piece together how this had happened. You were so determined to stay on your side of the bed. There even was a pillow wall, for crying out loud. But at some point in the night…
“Morning,” his voice came, low and slightly hoarse from sleep.
You froze, again. “Uh.” You were still too mortified to do anything but blink at the wall. “Morning.”
Hyuk shifted slightly, his arm retracting as he glanced down at you. “Weren’t you supposed to stay on you side ?”
You didn’t had an excuse, so you had to came up with a lie. “You took all the blanket, and i was cold, that’s all”
“Your a bad liar you know ?”
“I did not—” you stopped, realizing you had no actual memory to contradict him. “Okay, fine. But why didn’t you wake me up?”
He raised an eyebrow. “I would've moved to the floor but you were using me as a pillow. Besides, I’ve figured you needed to rest because of the race.”
You groaned, burying your face in your hands. “This is the worst.”
“Is it, though?” He teased, getting up and heading for his bag. “You survived the night, didn’t you?”
You peeked at him, still flustered but trying to sound casual. “Barely.”
He tossed your jacket onto the bed. “It’s not that big of a deal. Let’s get something to eat before the race of today.” He simply says.
While you were too flustered to even talk to him, Hyuk didn’t even look bothered by this situation, it was he didn’t care. But little did you know, he actually like that situation, but would rather just keep that to himself.
𝐖𝐎𝐎𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐎
The clerk at the front desk looked nervous, typing furiously into her computer. “I’m so sorry,” she said, glancing up at them, “but it seems like the system glitched, and we only have one room left for you two.”
“One room?” You asked, your voice slightly rising. You glanced at Wooin, who was leaning casually against the counter, playing with one of his many silver rings.
“One bed.” the clerk added, your wince deepening.
You blinked. “You’re joking.”
“Afraid not.” the clerk said, handing over a single key.
Wooin tilted his head at you, his dark eyes gleaming with something between amusement and mischief. “What’s the problem? You don’t trust me?”
You crossed your arms, unsure if you wanted to laugh or bolt. Wooin was… odd. Not dangerous, necessarily, just..kinda freaky
“I trust you.” you said, though it wasn’t entirely true. “It’s just you’re..you.”
He grinned, his teeth just a little too sharp. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“It wasn’t.”
The clerk cleared his throat, clearly uncomfortable being in the middle of whatever this was. “If it helps,” he said weakly, “the room’s got a lock on the door.”
“Great,” you said, grabbing the key. You turned to Wooin, pointing a finger at him. “No weird attitude, and no staring at me while I’m asleep, and please, don’t draw on my face.
Wooin held up his hands, mock-offended. “You wound me, you know ? I’ll be on my best behavior.”
“Yeah right, like I’ll believe that”
He gave you a crooked smile. “Scout’s honor.”
You muttered something under your breath as you headed toward the stairs. One room. One bed. With Wooin.
This was going to be the longest night of your life. And you were sure to never forget it.
…
The first thing you noticed when you woke up was the weight on your chest.
Your neck ached faintly, your body stiff from staying in one position all night, but you didn’t move. Mostly because of the very obvious fact that Wooin head was resting against you, his arm draped loosely over your waist.
Yourr heart thudded in your chest as you stared down at him. He looked so… peaceful. His usual smirk was gone, replaced by the soft, vulnerable expression of someone completely at ease. A few strands of his dark hair fell across his forehead, and without thinking, your hand twitched, almost brushing them back before you stopped yourself.
Don’t be weird, you scolded yourself.
But it was hard not to be. Wooin, the guy who usually teased you to no end, who always seemed so infuriatingly self-assured, was asleep on you.
You shifted slightly, trying to figure out how to leave the bed without waking him, but his arm tightened instinctively, pulling you closer.
“Don’t.” he mumbled, his voice rough with sleep.
You froze. “Wooin ?”
“Mm.” His face nuzzled deeper into your chest, his breath warm against your neck. “Five more minutes.” he murmured, barely audible.
Your stomach flipped. You didn’t know whether to laugh, push him off, or just let it happen. Against your better judgment, you stayed still, your fingers curling nervously in the blanket.
“Wooin.” you tried again, more softly this time.
“Mm-hm.” he mumbled, but his eyes stayed closed.
As you sat there, half trapped and entirely unsure what to do. You told yourself that you should be annoyed, but there was something so... disarming about seeing him like this. Vulnerable. Unapologetically human.
I guess after all, it was a long night, and you were sure to never forget it.

Lee Dongsik’s Guide to Multitasking Your Personal Trauma, New Romantic Interest, and Murder Investigation(s) (Beyond Evil)
*headcanons and ideas set during and after canon*
1.) Trust no bitch. Especially the fussy, emotionally unstable, clingy, brave, smart, and irresistible kind. Pretend that you don’t have a type and that that type isn’t “socially awkward twink who hates how much he wants me”
2.) Uncooked noodles are a valid food group! Don’t listen to rich city boys who say otherwise.
3.) You have two remaining besties, codenames Sassy Sister and Shady Mister. You are on the fence to replace one with the local butcher, Sharpy Blister (this codename thing is admittedly limited), but you’re undecided.
4.) At one point you seriously consider leaving the basement door unlocked with a welcome mat in front of it, but even you aren’t even sure whether it would be a joke or sincere, plus it wouldn’t do to be too forward in this courtship. Mustn’t frighten away the timid hedgehog boy too soon. Lure him in with treats (possible murder clues). Good hedgehog boy. Sit and stay.
5.) A few months after you get out of prison, a reporter comes around town asking questions about the rumors around Minjeong that had been on TV at one time. Unfortunately, he stops to ask for directions to your house at the police station, where Officer Park Jihoon is happy to assist. Somehow his directions accidentally lead the reporter into the boggiest part of a reed field, which he is eventually rescued from (two hours later, as the neighbors in the surrounding area didn’t seem to hear him shrieking). Encourage professionalism among your former subordinates by giving Jihoonie an extra dinner serving that evening.
6.) Make peace with the fact that your new partner’s dad is, like, actually the worst case scenario father-in-law. If you can’t make peace with it, make war. Bonus points if you engineer shit so you get to homoerotically cuff his son (into custody, of course) in front of everyone.
7.) Break into Han Juwon’s flat at least once without ever leaving a trace. Take a selfie with the murderboard (adorable. oddly endearing. maybe you can frame it at the lake house?)
8.) Somewhere along the line, you realize that had circumstances been different, your whole family would have welcomed Han Juwon into their home and hearts. Try not to think too much about it.
9.) You watch Han Gihwan’s trials on a prison tv with a guard (24, recently married, anxious to talk to someone about becoming a father) and there is a tiny, brief, terrifying moment at one of Han Gihwan’s trials where a piece of incriminating evidence from a confidential source is revealed for maximum effect at just the right time to shock the courtroom—and it’s right at the moment the camera zooms in on Han Gihwan’s stunned face, because in that moment you’re focused on the blink-and-you-miss-it smirk on Kwon Hyuk’s face in the background and you think: oh god. There’s two of us.
10.) When in doubt, smile and flirt.
#whomst#beyond evil#jwds#yes I glossed over a lot of angst because Dongsik needs a break#and a germ-conscious boy toy. as a treat.

Jwds - there was only one bed (it's a classic for a reason ok im sorry)
thank you thank youuuu anon!!!!!!! 🖤 don’t be sorry— you are 100% correct, it’s a classic and I love a one bed scenario!!
for my prompts post
“Hyung!”
Kwon Hyuk smirks at the irritation he can hear in Joo Won’s outburst but carefully schools his expression when he turns towards his angry brother’s voice.
Oh yes, Joo Won was very angry.
Joo Won’s jaw was clenched tightly together, matching his fists at his sides. Hyuk feigns innocence and raises an eyebrow, “Han Joo Won, what are you yelling about so soon into the trip? We just got here 15 mins ago.”
Joo Won’s nostrils flare and he takes a deep breath, “Why is Lee Dong Sik in my hotel room?”
Hyuk stares at Joo Won in mock confusion, “What do you mean? He’s your roommate.”
Joo Won takes another deep breath and then harshly breathes out of his nose. He steps forward, a hand raised towards Kwon Hyuk but then he suddenly drops it. He folds his arms together in front of him instead and gives the prosecutor an unimpressed look.
“But why are we roommates and why is there only one bed?”
Hyuk raises an eyebrow, “I mean these tickets were given to me for free, I wasn’t going to argue about beds and rooms.”
The irritation in Joo Won’s eyes grows even more and Kwon Hyuk almost thinks Joo Won is going to stamp his foot in frustration.
“Joo Won, I’m sorry it’s not perfect but you and Dong Sik are friends right? You two can share a room for a few nights…”
Joo Won’s ears turn a little pink and he scowls at Hyuk, “Of course, we are friends—“
Hyuk grins and slaps Joo Won on the shoulder, cutting him off before he can continue, “then there’s no issues right? Let’s go look at the pool.”
Joo Won scoffs at him and walks away stubbornly, mumbling under his breath.
Hyuk sort of forgets about the whole thing once he’s in the water surrounded by bright skies and warm sunlight. Ji Hoon and Ji Hwa join him not too long after and they plan a place to go for dinner.
Joo Won still seems annoyed with him at dinner but mellows out the more Dong Sik laughs and teases him. The blush is almost permanent as well as the soft smile that Hyuk has never had the privilege of receiving. The way Joo Won just seems to relax into himself with Dong Sik is the reason Hyuk went through all the trouble to plan this trip.
And he has a bet with Ji Hwa that the idiots would confess soon.
They leave just as the restaurant is closing, all of them stumbling and slightly tipsy as they walk back to their hotel. Hyuk purposely bumps into Joo Won and smirks when he knocks into Dong Sik and the older man catches him. Dong Sik chuckles softly, close to Joo Won's face, "Look at our Inspector Han tripping over himself, did you have too much to drink?"
Joo Won's face is red and Hyuk grins at the way his adoptive brother seems to have forgotten all the words. He stares up at Dong Sik for a moment longer and the older man stares back, fondness and humor in his eyes.
Ji Hwa clears her throat aggressively and Joo Won jumps a little before righting himself and letting go of his grip on Dong Sik's jacket. He clears his throat and clenches his fists at his side, "No, I...I just tripped."
Dong Sik hums and brushes invisible dirt off Joo Won's broad shoulders, lingering slightly before dropping his hands and Kwon Hyuk wants to scream at the idiots. They loved each other so much it was painful to watch.
But he has a plan and he wont deviate from it now.
So Hyuk yawns dramatically, "Oh i cant wait to get into my comfy bed."
Ji Hwa shoots him a questioning look and he grins back at her, "What? How are the beds in your rooms?"
Ji Hoon smiles wide, the one of them that is actually very tipsy, "I took a nap on mine while Noona was taking a shower and settling in, it's a little hard but I wont have any trouble sleeping."
Hyuk sees the way Joo Won refuses to look up so he looks at Dong Sik, "And yours?"
Dong Sik raises an eyebrow but smiles slightly as he turns to look at Joo Won, "I haven't been able to try it out yet."
If Hyuk wasn't so close he would have missed the breathy exhale that leaves Joo Won's mouth. He hums at Dong Sik's answer and watches as Joo Won fidget with the ends of his jacket.
They make it back to the hotel eventually, the entire walk spent keeping Ji Hoon vertical and Hyuk continuously talking about his bed waiting for him in his hotel room. Both Ji Hwa and Dong Sik look confused by his continued monologue but Joo Won didn't lift his head the entire way back, which Hyuk counts as a win.
They make it back to their floor and Dong Sik uses the key card to open his and Joo Won's room as the younger man stands awkwardly behind him.
Just as Dong SIk walks into the room, Hyuk snags Joo Won and leans in closely to whisper, "Don't forget to help Dong Sik test out the bed."
He takes advantage of Joo Won's shock and slips into his room before Joo Won can recover, he pops his head out and smiles at Joo Won, "Dont forget to tell Dong Sik you are a cuddler."
That seems to be enough to get Joo Won to respond but Hyuk slams the door in his face before he can and grins as he walks to the bathroom to take a shower.
The next day, Hyuk is getting breakfast when Dong Sik appears next to him. He looks up from his coffee and smiles, opening his mouth to speak but gets distracted by the bruises on Dong Sik's neck.
Dong Sik smirks at him when he realizes what Hyuk has focused on, "Thanks for the help, Prosecutor Kwon. It seems your "only one bed" plan worked."
Hyuk blinks a few times before the grin overtakes his face, "He couldn't keep his hands to himself could he?"
Dong Sik bark out a laugh, "He's a cuddler."
#beyond evil#ask prompt#so this is super late#because....life idk#also again i apologize for any mistakes#i wanted to do the only bed trope but i also didn't want it to be the same as every other one#so i tried to make it more fun and upbeat and from hyuk's perspective#i also struggle to write smutty/sex scenes because of how i understand and experience intimacy and i did NOT have the energy to manage it#i could've made it more soft and intimate but i think i want to actually write that as a one shot because of how i want the intimacy shown

Hi Kleo, that raunchy Park Bogum/Lee Soo Hyuk/WOO DO HWAN post got me wondering 😋 when the requests open back up, will you please do a dark mansion and idols after dark for Lee Soo Hyuk please? Also, I saw a WIP of his that you haven't posted? If the requests won't open anytime soon will you post this one of LSH and OMG when you post it, it means you've completed your list of solo artists WIP! You work too hard 😭 Btw why is he so scrumdiddlyupmscious please and why am I attracted to him, I need help, your posts also don't help!!? 😩💔
Hello!
Oh dear! Lee Soo Hyuk is provoking so much passion here 😂
Which is kinda paradox as his readings usually suggest he's not really that interested in love affairs in general. But I get it, the silent mysterious guy who seems to ignore all the pretty girls is the very embodiment of attractive. 😂
I have completed Soo Hyuk's Shadow of the Moon reading and I will consider the Dark Mansion and After Dark analysis but those are really exhausting for me. Good news is that Easter holiday is just around the corner and because I don't celebrate it, I might devote my time to tarot. I can't promise Lee Soo Hyuk, though. 😂
Lee Soo Hyuk - Shadow of the Moon
Or... Maybe I'm gonna feel tempted to find out how good kisser is Mysterious Mr. Lee. 🤭 Ah! Just teasing. When I see someone melting for a celebrity I will come up with the wildest scenarios to sweetly torture them. Does it make me evil? Maybe. Is it fun? Hell yeah!
Thank you for staying loyal to my blog and I hope to please you with more content in the future. I personally love many actors I have never done a reading for. 😊
Kleo 🦄

Living as an Extra in an Omegaverse novel
Chapter 88
Ha Jin-woong saw two individuals with black cloths draped over them. Especially towards the man whose clothes were disheveled from being heavily beaten, Ha Jin-woong showed his displeasure clearly.
"Such a hassle."
His original target was Yoo Jin-ha. Lately, Ha Jin-seong and Ha Min-hyuk had been getting along, while he himself had been appointed as a foreign branch manager.
That's why Ha Jin-woong had planned to use Yoo Jin-ha to blackmail Ha Min-hyuk. He had devised a scenario where he would ensure that Ha Min-hyuk could never set foot in the company again, while he remained here instead of going abroad. But he hadn't expected that guy to get involved.
And it was Shin Tae-oh's beloved secretary of all people...
"Why go to such lengths?"
He remembered the moment when he was about to lay hands on Se-hyeon but was suddenly interrupted by the appearance of Shin Tae-oh and the beating he received. Ha Jin-woong, who had been hit by Shin Tae-oh's fist without a chance to grab the disoriented Se-hyeon, asked irritably.
He knew that Ahn Se-hyeon was more than just a secretary to Shin Tae-oh, but was it really necessary to go this far? Since I know who I am, if we don't want to make things uncomfortable for each other, that is.
"Do you not know who I am? Do you want to challenge our group? What the hell does this secretary think he is...?"
"Shut up."
Shin Tae-oh's face looked ominous, like a beast ready to pounce.
"You started it, so you have to take responsibility."
"What kind of responsibility are you talking about?"
"The price you pay for threatening my life."
"Your life?"
Ha Jin-woong pressed his aching jaw with the back of his hand, trying to endure the pain, and asked. What I was involved in was just a secretary, and at most, a formidable opponent that I needed to handle a little more carefully.
"If I lose Se-hyeon, I'll die."
Without any intention to continue the conversation, Shin Tae-oh rushed forward. Ha Jin-woong, who had no chance to defend himself against the guy who attacked from behind, received more blows.
Usually, he was a laid-back guy who cracked jokes, but when he got angry, he turned into a lunatic, and when his eyes rolled, he became a complete madman.
The guy who was already a lunatic had become even more insane, making him the scariest person in the world. Ha Jin-woong looked at Shin Tae-oh with weary eyes, and Shin Tae-oh brushed off his clothes. They had rolled on the desk and the floor, making a complete mess, but Shin Tae-oh was proud of having protected his own belongings just from his expression.
Ha Jin-woong, remembering the times he had tangled with Shin Tae-oh, clicked his tongue as if he was already fed up.
"That lunatic won't just stay still."
When the situation became complicated with the addition of Yoo Jin-ha, Ha Jin-woong's face twisted in frustration.
"Sir, there's a call for you from the CEO."
The man next to him asked, holding Ha Jin-woong's phone gently in both hands.
"Why now of all times?"
Ha Jin-woong sighed. He had acted unilaterally without even consulting Ha Jin-seong, so it had to be kept a secret, but the timing of the call was too perfect.
"What should we do?"
"Just stay quiet."
Ha Jin-woong pressed his temples, feeling a throbbing headache. Shin Tae-oh was a lunatic, and Ha Jin-seong was a bastard.
"Damn it."
Whether it was Ha Jin-seong or Shin Tae-oh, both were formidable individuals, and curses slipped out.
"The call got disconnected."
Upon hearing the man's words, Ha Jin-woong turned around as if it was for the best.
"Turn off the phone."
"Then how are you going to call Ha Min-hyuk?"
"Tsk, you have it, don't you?"
With a look of pity in his eyes, Ha Jin-woong reached out and took the man's phone. As if snatching the man's phone away, Ha Jin-woong frowned when he was about to make a call to Ha Min-hyuk.
"The number."
"Sorry."
The man hurriedly tried to find someone who knew Ha Min-hyuk's number, but Ha Jin-woong clicked his tongue.
"Why? Are you going to openly admit that we kidnapped Ha Min-hyuk's omega?"
Trying to assign a task to a stupid guy who didn't know how to use his brain properly didn't work out.
"Give me my phone."
Thinking that it would be faster if he handled it himself, Ha Jin-woong turned on his phone, transferred Ha Min-hyuk's number, and then turned it off again.
"Should we continue to keep them?"
Ha Jin-woong nervously replied as he pointed to Se-hyeon, “Then what should we do? If I release him, I will find out where Yoo Jin-ha is, and what to do with him... That settles it. Let’s not talk about it.”
Just the thought of what would happen if he killed Shin Tae-oh sent shivers down his spine.
"He's like a ticking time bomb that can't be left alone or killed. We better protect him well."
As Ha Jin-woong left, only two men remained. They casually glanced at the two kidnapped individuals before turning away and engaging in small talk.
"Do you have any cigarettes left?"
"Just a few."
"Oh, really? Will you give me a few?"
"Shut up."
Amidst the conversation filled with curses and grumbling, Se-hyeon quietly lifted his upper body.
Although his face was covered with a black cloth, making it difficult to see ahead, it seemed that Yoo Jin-ha was in the spot his feet touched.
Leaning against what felt like a wooden plank behind him, Se-hyeon took a shallow breath. He had witnessed the men in the car suffocating Yoo Jin-ha by covering his nose and mouth with a handkerchief until he lost consciousness. Knowing that it would be his turn next, he struggled violently but collapsed without strength when the man struck the back of his neck.
More precisely, he pretended to collapse.
"It's not as easy to faint as I thought."
In movies, people would lose consciousness and fall when struck on the back of the neck, but luckily it wasn't the case.
Pretending to be unconscious allowed me to grasp the situation I was in.
I wondered if they noticed that I had regained consciousness, so I listened carefully and realized they were still engrossed in their casual chatter. It was a relief that they hadn't noticed, but the feeling was bitter.
'Timing is something...
While raising a glass with Yoo Jin-ha, we talked about fate and destiny. And just like a lie, it happened exactly the same as what Ha Jin-seong and Ha Jin-woong did in the original work.
"Is this the first time?"
It means that I moved in my own way without conforming to the flow of the original work.
Being in this situation, kidnapped like Yoo Jin-ha, with my hands tied... strangely, I felt strangely calm.
Even the fact that Shin Tae-oh joined the consortium and started to like me instead of Yoo Jin-ha, all those things that made me anxious seemed to have settled down.
"So, this is my destiny."
It was a new fate created by my own choices, just as Yoo Jin-ha said. It was a feeling of creating my own direction instead of following the original work.
So, as for Shin Tae-oh...
"No, Shin Tae-oh can wait. Right now, it's important to escape with Yoo Jin-ha from this place."
To prevent Ha Min-hyuk from coming and taking the blows intended for Yoo Jin-ha.
"But first, I need to seize the opportunity."
I wanted to move when I had a chance to avoid the surveillance's gaze, and surprisingly, the opportunity came quickly.
"Oh, I'm craving a cigarette. I'll go out and buy one."
"What? What if they wake up?"
"Well, we're all tied up anyway, so what if they wake up?"
"Let's go."
"I don't feel like walking all the way there."
From the voice filled with laziness, I felt that it was a pretense of weakness that couldn't be overcome.
"There's a convenience store or a small supermarket within walking distance."
As the sound of footsteps faded away, presumably going to buy cigarettes, Se-hyeon clenched his fists tightly as soon as the surveillance disappeared. The cable tie around his wrists dug into his flesh, causing sharp pain.
Since he had no intention of using brute force to break the tie, he relaxed his hands. Instead, Se-hyeon counted silently in his mind.
"One, two... three."
He pushed the wooden plank he had been anticipating with all his strength.
"Urgh!"
Along with the sound of the plank breaking, a groan escaped Se-hyeon's mouth.
***
"Your phone is turned off after the beep..."
Ha Jin-seong looked down at his cellphone. Earlier, he didn't answer the call, and now it was turned off again.
"This is suspicious."
He thought it might be worth checking what Ha Jin-woong was doing and where he was. Just as Ha Jin-seong was about to be impressed by the strong sound of knocking on the door, he looked away from his phone.
"What is it?"
"Open the door!" A voice shouted, pounding on the door.
"Shin Tae-oh?"
The voice was unmistakably Shin Tae-oh's. How did he know which hotel I was in at this late hour? With a reluctant expression, Ha Jin-seong opened the door.
"What the hell? What brings you here? Ugh."
As Ha Jin-seong asked why he had come, he immediately let out a choked groan as his throat was grabbed.
"Call Ha Jin-woong."
Click, “What?"
"Tell your damn brother to come."
"Why should he come and look for me?"
Ha Jin-seong tried to forcefully push away the hand gripping his throat, but only managed to tear the fabric of the clothing, and Shin Tae-oh didn't back down.
Both men were alphas, and while Shin Tae-oh had a slightly better build, the situation where Ha Jin-seong couldn't remove his hand due to the overwhelming strength difference was unbelievable.
"You..."
"It would be best for you to bring him right away."
In response to Shin Tae-oh's low, threatening voice, Ha Jin-seong stared at him silently, and another person burst into the scene.
"And who are you again? Why are your eyes so wide open..."
Ha Jin-seong sighed when he saw Ha Min-hyuk.
"Ha Jin-woong kidnapped Jin-ha."
Ha Min-hyuk barely held onto his wavering composure, as if it could snap at any moment.
"We need to find out where he is right now. Yes, Jin-ha..."
"Ha Min-hyuk."
While Shin Tae-oh stared at Ha Jin-seong, he called out Ha Min-hyuk's name.
"Wait, the conversation is getting tangled."
"Why are you bringing that up now?"
"If I wasn't going to bring it up, I wouldn't have told you in the first place."
It was Shin Tae-oh who had provided the information that Yoo Jin-ha was kidnapped. Without giving a single glance to Ha Min-hyuk, Shin Tae-oh scrutinized Ha Jin-seong intently.
His gaze, as if searching for any resemblance to Ha Jin-woong in Ha Jin-seong's face, gradually turned cold.
"Ahn Se-hyeon should come first."
So, bring Ha Jin-woong with you, if you want to have a peaceful conversation.

“How it started” :D hehehe
time for a throwback <3 ( how it started meme w/ @jeoseungsaja )
send “how it started” and i’ll post a paragraph from my very first RP thread with you and one from the current one i have with you to see how our writing changed over time!
aug. 21st 2021 ( yoojin & saja ):
“Hey, Mister! Yeah you! Wait up a second!” Or so he shouts from the bridge to the man in the black hat and matching long coat on the path beneath. With a running start, Yoojin hops over and off the railing and lands on the path accompanied by a pile of dust and leaves. And then he stands, turning towards the man with a bright smile. “Thought it was YOU- I didn’t know you were in the area. Last time we met up was, what in New York or something?” He wipes off the dust mark on his cheek with a sleeve. “You know you kinda stand out here? At least in New York, you could get away with the black get-up- oh yeah.” He holds out a book. “Isn’t this yours? I thought I saw you reading this back in the cafe.”
apr. 18th, 2023 ( alfred & hyuk ):
The important part, however, is that the King is pissed and if he’s yelling, then Myungdae’s bound to get the hint. At this point, it’s a matter of riling up the bull to the point of no return and truly, there’s nothing Alfred is better at than pissing people off.
“I’m not high, but it looks like you might need it more.” Granted, they’d have to be in another country to do weed- it’s times like that, however, when Alfred misses good ol’ New York City. Maybe he should take a vacation there when this is all over- he’ll drag Nell and Myungdae with him too. “You should try it some time, none of the hard stuff, but a good blunt of weed- it’d do wonders for your nervous system.“ He sounds almost nostalgic at this made up scenario. “But since you’re asking for smoke right now, it’ll be here in three, two, one…”
( ALEX!! I cannot BELIEVE it's been only almost like?? two years since we started writing and plotting together?? can you believe that from just yoojin & saja, this grew to SO MANY lovely and engaging dynamics ( like hyurick :'D ) over the course of two years?? because it feels like it's been much, MUCH longer since then and ngl, it's hard for me to imagine there was a time on here before i met you 🥺🥺🥺 perhaps i sound like a broken record, but i am SO HAPPY AND GRATEFUL that i met you and that i have the privilege of not only writing and plotting with you, but also that i get to be your friend 💕💕💕 you have ALWAYS been a precious presence on my dash and i just?? wanna say i care you SO MUCH and may we keep writing and plotting and being friends for many, many, MANY years down the road 💕💕💕 ADORE YOU LOTS AND PLS HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY 🥰🥰🥰 )

it’s a brief consideration. a fun little thought experiment. if minjun were to steal hyuk away from him, then — well, hyuk would be eating better. that’s a given. and if hyuk’s eating better, then he’d ask for seconds, and if he asks for seconds, then there wouldn’t be enough for rowon. and god forbid, if there’s not enough for rowon, he’d throw a bitch fit at hyuk ( not minjun, never minjun ), which would inevitably end in him getting blocked for the umpteenth time. and then — and then, hyuk would go to minjun, because in this fake scenario, they’re ‘best friends,’ and minjun would comfort him by … by doing what? holding his hand? telling him, ‘it’s okay, hyung’? oh.
suddenly, this fun little thought experiment isn’t fun anymore.
his grip tightens around minjun’s hand as he leads them out. the smell of fresh-baked cookies greets them once more, drawing them back to the kitchen where they first found each other. he helps himself to a sugar-dusted one. “you made these for me once,” rowon muses, leaning against the counter and picking at the treat piece by piece. it’s only on his third bite that he realizes just how much minjun has made. he wants to ask. he wants to know. but he swallows it down along with his fourth. no.
“what were you thinking about?” he asks instead.
the answer calmed him and minjun only realized he had been holding an expectant breath when rowon pulled his hand and asked for a tour. minjun blushed unceremoniously as he soundly allowed said breath to come out and allowed himself to be dragged along, letting the older man explore the hotel suite the way he wanted.
the place was decadent if one wished to describe it, too big for one person, but cozy enough for said person to want to live there for a good time. the walls were painted in an ivory shade, elegant and minimalist, and a decent living room with a big tv and a large couch. the bathroom, just by the tone in rowon’s voice, was also a highlight and one of minjun’s favorite places. “don’t speak nonsense, hyung.” there was a light tone in the younger’s tone, followed by a chuckle.
“the bathroom is crazy, the hot tube is a yes.” minjun gave rowon’s hand a shake before frowning. “i think he pities me, that’s all. i’m not going to steal your best friend, don’t be jealous of me.” he spoke with a soft smile, silence falling between them for a moment, minjun lost in his own thoughts

drunk confessions -oh hyuk
Genre: Angst
Pairing: Reader x Hyuk, Reader x Code Kunst (<--- this was never supposed to happen lol, but it did)
Word Count: 3,190
Backstory: the both of you never remembered the drunk confessions, never noticed the feelings you mutually shared, until it was too late.
“You think they would be dating by now, right?” Hyunjae whispered to his two bandmates sitting next to him.
“Honestly it’s about time we tell them what they do when they’re piss drunk.” Donggun said, then elbowed Inwoo, “Take a video, this must be the end of the drunk confessions.”
Hyunjae, Donggun, and Inwoo have a shared photo album, where they put the videos they captured of you and Hyuk confessing to each other. They decided tonight, shall be the last video, and the next party they will expose the drunk confessions.
-
You met him on the playground during elementary school, your goal that year was to make him your best friend. The problem was, Hyuk was shy, and any attempt of socialization made him run away from you. The ambitious little 8 year old you were, did not take no as an answer, so you chased him. This lasted about two weeks, until he finally spoke up, and spoke to you for the first time.
“What do you want from me?” He said not running away from you.
“I want to be best friends with you.” You replied with the biggest smile on your face, you couldn’t believe that a single word would come out of his mouth.
He awkwardly stood their looking at you, “Um, why? You don’t know anything about me, and I don’t know anything about you.” He replied scratching the back of his head.
Your smile deflated, how were you supposed to reply to that? Since you didn’t respond quickly, Hyuk started to walk away. You couldn’t accept the rejection, he couldn’t slip through your hands this quick. As you were used to at this point, you ran up to him.
“Hyuk! You shouldn’t walk away from your friend like that.” You replied upset, and to prevent him from walking away again you held his hand.
“What are you doing?” He looked at you surprised with flushed cheeks.
“Best friends hold hands, silly.” You started to happily walk ahead, and you felt a tug. Hyuk planted his feet and wouldn’t move, so you dragged him along with you. “Hyuk, me tugging you all the time won’t work out every recess. We need to work together.”
It took a week worth of recess for him to finally walk along side you, but he still remained silent. You asked him simple questions to learn more about him, and he’d give you one word answers.
At the end of the school day, parents would come to pick up there children. One day you decided to approach Hyuk’s parents when they came to pick him up.
“Hello Mrs and Mr. Oh, it is nice to meet you both.” You said excitedly to his parents. “I’m Hyuk’s newest best friend, well I’m not sure if he thinks we are friends, but I do. I was wondering if Hyuk could come over to my house tomorrow for a play date.” You smiled at them hoping for a more friendly reaction from them, rather than Hyuk’s rejection.
They looked down at your eager eyes with smiles on their faces. They weren’t aware of Hyuk’s new friend as he never spoke a word of his classmates. To them you were a very friendly girl, and to Hyuk you were a pest. “We’d love for Hyuk to have a play date with you. Are your parents here yet? We should talk to them.” You nodded in response and brought the Oh’s to your mother and father.
While the parents were talking, you saw Hyuk with his arms crossed and his head down.
“Why do you want to be my friend so bad?” He said to you as you stared at him.
“Because, I just want to.” He looked at you displeased with your answer. “If you don’t have fun at the play date tomorrow I will leave you alone.”
He nodded his head, “Fine. You can’t chase me around, talk to me, or hold my hand if I don’t have fun.” In Hyuk’s head he thought that he was going to dread this play date with you. He thought he was going to be free from your grip forever.
Hyuk thought wrong, the next day at your family’s apartment he had a blast. He never bothered to learn about you, so he didn’t know what to expect. At your house, your father had a whole room dedicated to music. Once he stepped foot into that room, he found himself amazed to what surrounded him. He looked around at the guitars hanging around the room, the gigantic grand piano in the far corner, all the signed pictures from foreign artist. Your father let Hyuk play a couple of the guitars, and taught him new chords.
After that session with your father, Hyuk sat down on your couch to watch TV, his face still covered with a smile. Seeing how happy he looked, you gathered one of your many CD players and a couple CDs from foreign bands to give to him. As you approached him he pointed at what you were carrying.
“What’s that for?” He asked.
“It’s a CD player, it’s for you.” You replied, holding your hands out for him to grab it.
“Wow, really?” He questioned you surprised. “But I don’t have any CDs to put into it.”
You handed him the CDs you picked out, “These are also for you.” Hyuk looked at you with such a big smile, and got off the couch to give you the biggest hug ever.
“Thank you so much Y/N!” Hyuk exclaimed jumping up and down.
“Are we best friends now?” You asked Hyuk once he finally let go of you.
“Best friends forverer!” He exclaimed.
After that play date, your friendship with Hyuk blossomed. Almost everyday, he’d go to your house after school. He started talking to you more, he told you secrets, he told you everything about him.
-
Sixteen years of friendship later, and you couldn't be happier. Every moment you shared with Hyuk was something you’d never give up. You’ve watched him grow up into such a talented and successful man. You’ve watched his band grow, and you couldn’t be more proud of him.
He was also very happy you’ve been on the rode to success with him the whole time. You were the support he needed whenever he wanted to give up. He believed that your friendship was the strongest relationship he’ll have with anyone. You knew more about him than his own parents.
The thing is you both started growing feelings for each other, both afraid of ruining the bond you have, you kept your crushes a secret. Yet keeping those feelings hurt the both of you, Hyuk would go out dating girls that wasted his time and broke his heart. Expressing his feelings through his music, you never knew you were connected to a ton of his songs. You assumed that his feelings for you were no more than a friendship, and the songs he wrote were for the girls that broke his heart. You were jealous and torn, but you would never show that to him. He will only remain your best friend, there is no point in jeopardizing a 16 year friendship.
-
Every now and then, Hyuk will host a small get together with friends and other artist just to have a good time. In all honesty, many of these get togethers you cannot remember, and that was because you would chug one drink after another. You didn’t want to have any recollection of the night before, afraid that you’ll see something you didn’t want to see. You treasured this friendship way to much, and if that meant getting your heart broken then you’d have to deal. Although the drinking left you dead the morning after, this was how you handled your feelings, unhealthy but there was no other option.
Hyuk would also drink his heart away during these gatherings, it was quite a scene for people to see. Hyuk tends to be a more reserved person, but when he is drunk you’ll see a whole different side of him. A more open, and happy Hyuk appears while under the influence of alcohol. His intentions were the same as yours, not witnessing something that could hurt his heart. You are the only girl he loves, all his past relationships were away of suppressing his feelings. To see you fall in love with another man would kill him, if only you knew his feelings.
He thought falling in love with you was wrong, and to try to rid of these feelings he found himself in the bed of other girls, that he thought he could like. He found himself doing this more than often, and didn’t realize you were aware the whole time.

Group Chat with hyukie and 35 others
hyukie: party at my place @ 9 byob
hj: byob? lol no
inw00: ^^^ tf bro, u better supply us u think WE have the money
dongGUN: yeah hyuk, come one bro
hyukie: stfu b y o b, or ur not allowed in
inw00: then have a fun party by yourself :/
unknown number: lol i’ll bring stuff
unknown number: ^^
15 others agreed to byob, leaving Hyunjae, Inwoo, and Donggun to finally surrender.
You made a deal with yourself a few months ago, that if someone showed interest in you, you wouldn’t turn them away. Hyuk has no interest in you romantically, so it’s time to move on to someone who will show you the love you so desperately want.
The past couple parties Hyuk held, you found yourself conversing with this one man. His name was Sungwoo, a well known producer in the music industry and a fellow friend, and labelmate of Hyuk’s. He took you out on small dates, bringing you to his studio, to clothing shops, to places you’ve never known of. In the few months that he has known you, he has never once made a move on you physically, he wanted you to open up to him without any convincing. He was genuinely interested in you, and you welcomed all his flirtatious messages, his affectionate touches. He was handsome, and nothing but kind to you, the only thing that was stopping you from falling into the arms of this man, is Hyuk. This man makes you smile, he shows you love, a future with him would be great, you must push away these feelings towards Hyuk.
Throughout this night though, you found yourself talking about Hyuk, more than yourself. Sungwoo listened to your stories, he noticed how you smiled so wide when talking about your best friend. He learned the ins-and-outs of your friendship, he learned how much you loved this man. He thought that maybe he should stop his growing liking towards you, because you loved another. The other side of him thought that maybe you’d start feeling the same way about him, like you did with Hyuk. There was a small part of you that liked him, or you wouldn’t be touching each other so affectionately. He noticed your lustful stares, he noticed the ways you dressed differently for him, you enjoyed his attention, as he did yours. You’d happily take his hand in yours, there was no way you didn’t like him.
You were distracted from the conversation when you saw Hyuk whispering into a girls ear, and her giggling in response. They were touching in ways similar between you and Sungwoo. It hurt to watch, it hurt to realize that the man you love doesn’t love you back. You have to stop focusing your feelings on Hyuk, Sungwoo has showed you endless love, you don’t want him to think your using him to make you feel better.
“Y/N?” Sungwoo waved his hand in front of your face, trying to grab your attention. “You really like Hyuk that much?” He laughed sounding a bit hurt.
“No, no. Everything's fine, I was just caught off guard. Do you want to go somewhere more private?” You focused all your attention back to him. Why waste your feelings on Hyuk any longer, if the man right next to you reciprocated your feelings. Friendship is as far as your relationship will go with Hyuk, and you’ve finally accepted it.
You grabbed Sungwoo’s hand and brought him to the balcony outside. The cold air made it evident why everyone was inside, but it gave you privacy, and allowed you to focus on the man who truly likes you.
“You have been so patient with me, I’m sorry I have made you wait for so long till I could confess my feelings. You’re truly such a great person, without meeting you I think I would be lost. You’ve shown me endless care, and love, I’m so grateful for you.” You told him honestly, staring out to the illuminated city.
Noticing you shiver, Sungwoo wrapped his arms around you from behind. “You have nothing to apologize for.” He said. “I wanted to wait for you, I didn’t want to rush you into anything. Even if you didn’t want to be with me in the end, I would still want to be your friend. I don’t want you regretting anything.” Leaning into his embrace you realized you didn’t need anyone else’s love to be happy. You enjoyed this feeling, you enjoyed being in the arms of this man. The feelings you had for Hyuk were just a distraction to something better.
You turned around to face Sungwoo, he looked at you with an adoring face. If only you opened your eyes earlier, this man was so patient with you, so gentle, you were so oblivious. Standing on the balcony face to face, the feelings you pushed away for Sungwoo came at full force. Bringing your face closer to his, you placed your lips upon his. Sungwoo brought his hands to your face intensifying the kiss, a chill ran through your body, but it was no longer from the cold air.
It was the sound of the door opening that made you disconnect your lips, looking over Sungwoo’s shoulder, you were faced with your best friends heartbroken face.
“Oh,” was the only word that he could let escape his mouth. He waited too long to confess, his fear got the best of him. After witnessing you kissing another guy, he found himself broken.
Walking back inside, he grabbed the strongest drink he had, and drank it straight from the bottle. He didn’t bother with grabbing a cup, he wanted the alcohol to drain his feelings out.
-
The party was soon over, and you told Sungwoo your saying after to help clean up, and that you’d text him when you get home.
With a trash bag in your hand you helped Hyunjae collect the empty bottles, while Donggun and Inwoo put the trash in a separate bag. Hyuk appeared when the trash was cleaned up, he reeked of alcohol, his motor skills showed how drunk he was.
“Yoooo where’d everyone go?” He asked loudly. Stumbling towards you, he put his arm around your shoulder pulling you closer to his body. What’s up with him? You thought.
The three other boys looked at each other with concerned expressions, you weren’t drunk, far from it actually. The repeated scene that happens at every one of these parties, is about to happen in front of your eyes, and you’d remember it. They knew what Hyuk was about to do, and they’d finally get to see your true reaction.
“Why do you guys look so scared?” You said laughing, hulling Hyuk’s heavy body to the nearest couch. Plopping him down, you attempted to walk away but felt your body being pulled down to Hyuk’s.
“Y/N don’t leave me.” The drunk man said with a saddened tone. “Don’t leave me, please.”
Laughing awkwardly, you separated your body from Hyuk’s. “I’m right here, Hyukie, I’m not going anywhere.” You stood up trying to walk away, but you found yourself back on the couch, Hyuk pulled you down again.
“You don’t understand me, don’t leave me. Don’t leave me for another man. I saw you kiss Sungwoo,” he scowled at the mention of his name, “don’t be with him.”
“Why?” You asked angrily. He may be your best friend, but who is he to decide who you can and cannot date.
“Cause I love you...” Hyuk answered, the air around you tensed up, you were shocked. Hyunjae, Inwoo, and Donggun stood in the living room looking at the both of you, not sure what they should do at this moment.
The room was stricken with silence, until you finally spoke up. You thought you’d be happy to hear this sudden confession, but you were the complete opposite. “You love me. You love me? Then why Hyuk, why did you find the need to date other girls in front of me, sleep with other girls, confess to other girls the same thing you just said to me. Am I supposed to believe this?” The coldness in your voice made the men freeze.
“You think it was easy for me to accept that I’m in love with my best friend?” He questioned you back, with anger in his voice.
“Hyuk you think that if you truly liked me that much, you’d sleep around with others? Huh? I loved you, yet I didn’t fuck around with other guys, I didn’t whisper in their ears, I didn’t kiss their lips to confirm that I loved you. I loved you for a long time, you filled my thoughts constantly, and I thought you would never like me back if you introduced me to other girls, so I moved on. It took me months to move on, to accept the fact that I shouldn’t love my best friend, if we have the tightest relationship ever. Why ruin it? I found a guy who likes me, who waited for me, cause he knew I loved you.” You got up and walked to the door, this time he didn’t pull you back. “Oh Hyuk if you truly loved me you would’ve not fucked with my feelings like that, you would’ve not brought new people in to your life and use them. You’re a coward, and so am I. At least I had the decency to accept my feelings, and move on when I needed to.”
With that said you walked out the door, without giving him the chance to let another word come out his mouth.
“Love really can ruin a friendship.” You laughed to yourself walking back to your apartment. “He won’t remember this tomorrow, anyways.”
-
The next morning Hyuk woke up with dreadful headache, getting up to look in the mirror he noticed his eyes were swollen, and bloodshot.
“What the fuck happened last night?” He said to aloud to himself.
Pulling his phone out, the bright light shot pain through his head, he saw a text from you.
y/n: drink some water and take advil, dickhead.
hyuk: you’re too kind
y/n: if only you knew how far my kindness goes
sorry if the whole back story was unnecessary, thought it add more to the story idk
p.s. this story took a fat turn from what i originally planned, so u basically got two artist in one scenario. like originally u were gonna fall in l0ve with ya boy hyukie but then i was like lets not do that lol, srry.

Jungkook x y/n (as a famous artist) Pt.2
pArt 1: here
pairing: reader x Jungkook
genre: fluff, romance, for entertainment purposes
BTS x Fem Reader
sinopsis: You are a popular artist in America, pretty famous, loved and well-known by the general public (actually you were one of the top 10 artists in the world but you are pretty humble and naïve to realize your popularity), one day during one of your fan meets you talk about how much you love BTS, and not only how you wish to meet them and work with them but how Jungkook is one of your celebrity crushes. During the meet you fangirled with other ARMYs in the crowd; video clips of you fangirling and talking about BTS at your meet where posted and reposted all over social media. This obviously broke the internet because you were not only a famous singer but you also were always accepted and loved by ARMY and this made a lot of people happy. Suddenly it felt like everyone wanted you to meet the seven handsome and talented idols and collaborate, but you could only wish, you believed they didn't even know who you were...or so you thought
Part 2- BTS x Y/N You went to bed, turned your phone on silent mode and looked at your ceiling, replaying that fake scenario you talked about a few hours ago, oh how you wished it could become real. Finally dozing off and resting for the work-packed day you had tomorrow; unaware that your social media was currently going crazy and how they yearned for your new weekly EPISODE to come out.
While you were peacefully sleeping social media platforms like twitter and instagram where going crazy all over the world, headlines with titles like: “Y/N FINALLY CONFESSES”, “Y/N AND JUNGKOOK RELATIONSHIP WILL SAVE 2021”, “ARMYs BIGGEST FEAR… Y/N+J&K''. People demanded the episode of the leaked videos to be uploaded as soon as possible, even though it was the middle of the night were you where; your international fans where active and ready for some content after watching the “leaked” videos; they exploded your teams’ contacts; your team left with no other choice but to actually speed up the process and upload said EPISODE; your manager contacted the main editor and offered him two days off if he could finish the video that same night.
The episode was uploaded at around 2 am; meaning in Korea, the video went up at around 4pm.
4:00 o’clock in the afternoon, a beautiful day outside Seoul. The guys were currently about to shoot a new episode of RUN BTS; on set, the guys were standing in the middle of a room as some hair and makeup staff fixed their appearance. Cameras were being set up around them by the camera crew. Staff spread around the room doing their respective tasks. The guys did have their cell phones with them but they were all turned to airplane mode so they wouldn't disturb the shoot. Just like you, they were unaware of what was happening on their social media platforms.
“ACTION!” the director started. RM lead the opening line “1,2,3…”, “Dallyeora Bangtan!” (RUN BTS!) they all said in unison, and the episode began. behind the cameras, staff were learning about the ``BTS x Y/N'' ordeal as the seven boys were filming. The “Hybe Corporation '' (RIP big hit) would normally would see this type of situation as a negative thing for their Idol Star Group’s image, immediately clearing up any misunderstanding and false info that was being spread online; but the head of the company, Bang Si-hyuk, decided to first watch the video himself and look into it this time.
Again, the head team would’ve even ignored this situation, but this time it was different. Bang Si-hyuk actually knew who you were, and was surprised when he saw your name pop up. After a quick meeting the next step was decided for BTS in regards to this situation. “Just to make sure, the boys are still shooting right? Bang Si-hyuk asked his assistant, “Y-yes sir, they are in the middle of a game, no news have been broke to them”; Bang Si-hyuk nodded and looked around the room of people that attended the emergency meeting, “Okay so, like we agreed, we will surprise they boys with this, they are big fans of y/n, and I really do like her too, she is a good girl who goes well with BTS. SO... after their scheduled shoot, send them to the other room and let them react to y/n’s episode highlights, and tell them what is happening, I think this could be the beginning of something good” Bang Si-hyuk concluded the meeting at that. Staff quickly went and prepared everything.
After shoot the guys were expecting to get into their assigned cars and go home like they normally do when they are done on set, but they were stopped by staff; “Guys okay so you are done with this episode, please now direct yourselfs towards the meeting room, the company has treated you to some refreshers, snacks and drinks; you will be told what to do'' The small woman stepped aside to let the boys go to where they were asked to go. The guys didn't think too much of this, brushing it off as a probable “catch-up” meeting.
Once they got to the meeting room they sat on one side of a wooden table, a laptop sitting in the middle, and a single camera behind the table. Jungkook took a seat in front of the laptop, Jimin to his right and Suga to his left; J-Hope, V, Jin and RM sitting in higher chairs behind them in that order, with a clear view on the computer. They all looked at the staff for answers, this was not one of their weekly meetings… The staff allowed them to have the promised snacks, instant noodles and beverages for this. One staff member told them what they were going to do “Okay so before you all go home we need you to react to this video, it is only a couple of minutes long, we have edited it and cut some parts out; you are allowed to eat and loosen up; you can react as you wish and add any comment as well, any questions?” They shook their head as they had done this before so many times.
The video started and a preview came on screen, it was your intro music, on screen a quick preview of your complete episode was shown. The boys immediately recognized the images, they had seen your show many times before. “Oi, it’s y/n'' Jin immediately said as soon as your face appeared on screen, “Is this a new episode?” JImin asked out loud, “Wait what day is it? they normally go up on Friday, did we miss it?” Taehyung spoke, mouth full of spicy noodles, J-Hope and RM reached out and cleaned Taehyung’s face with napkins as if he was a child, before he made a bigger mess.
“Hello everyone welcome to another episode of…. f** I don't even know what we call these videos, jajajaja” “Wait what?... jajajajaja omg guys thank you, I'm so sorry, yeah you heard them, welcome back to y/n’s camera roll, I can’t believe I forgot that, anyway today’s episode is a little different……” Your introduction from the episode played on screen, making the boys chuckle at your genuine personality “hahaha gwiyeoun” (haha cute) Suga added, J-Hope agreeing with him as he gave Suga a piece of the food he was having. Kookie was currently watching the screen not even blinking, he hadn’t taken a bite out of his noodles or a sip out of his banana milk, Jimin noticed and pointed at him looking back at the guys with a silent laugh, they all knew Jungkook was your biggest simp.
The video continued, they kept adding comments and watching with interest. The staff had actually reedited your original video to make it shorter and show the parts where you mention BTS.
“Hi, y/n, can I ask you another question?” you nodded and signaled him to proceed;
“I saw that you liked an instagram post about BTS a while back uploaded by a fan account and I also saw that you actually follow their personal twitter account. ALSO in your behind the scenes video for your music video shoot you can be seen in the background dancing the Boy with luv choreo. So I wanted to ask if you were an ARMY and if you know them personally? and like should we be expecting a collaboration soon?”
You chucked at his talking speed, curious questions and great detective skills.
Jimin reached over and paused the video before they could hear what you answered next. “No way….Omg what she says she hates us” Jimin said. “Imagine if she said she hates us, is this why you guys are making us watch this?” Suga looked at the staff. “Can we keep watching hyungs…” Jungkook said looking around at the others, a bit desperate to find out what you said next. “Oi, wouldn't you want to know guki…” Jin teased him, wiggling his eyebrows and slapping the back of his head playfully. Before Jungkook could fight back RM reached over them and pressed play, preventing a ‘playful’ fight among the youngest and oldest member to take place.
“OMG hahaha I love you so much, what an amazing question, Okay so first off no I don’t know them personally and sadly no plans of collaboration are on sight. Oh wow I have never been asked if I liked BTS before, I’m excited hahaha. Yeah I am an ARMY, I love them so much I am one of their biggest fans, and they are also one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to work ethic and professionalism, listening to them or watching them gives me motivation to keep doing what I love, which is this.
anyway I am rambling I should stop; you guys can say y/n stop whenever I start rambling okay? hahaha''
As this part of the video played, the guys seemed to lean closer to the screen as you spoke. Once you finished your answer they paused the video again. RM stood up with hands on his head; Jin and J-Hope held on to each other with their mouths wide open looking at the screen; V was still sitting in the same spot, frozen, as if he was paused in time along with the now paused screen; Suga stood up with his hands on his mouth bouncing his knees lightly; Jimin reached to RM behind him and stretched his arms out with a ‘Did you hear that?’ expression; Jungkook leaned over the table and pulled the screen closer, he was smiling from ear to ear letting out a small “wow” under his breath, then he replayed your answer to listen to it one more time, rereading the subtitles under the video making sure he did not miss any words.
“OMG NO WAY, NO WAY DUDE” Tae came out of his frozen state and held on to Jungkook's shoulders shaking slightly; They all looked at eachother surprised, they couldn't believe that ‘the one and only Y/N’ was an ARMY. They composed themselves and played the video to proceed once the staff told them there was more.
The video resumed:
“Guys should we actually talk about BTS for a bit? hahaha” you asked your fans
A girl spoke after: “Can I ask you a BTS question then? Okay so, who is your favorite member?
“Well first off, I don't have a favorite member. I really mean it when I say this. I love them all equally and I love them all as a group. I don’t prefer one over the other or like one better. I really do support them equally. I mean there is nothing wrong with having a bias, as long as you also respect the other members, hope that all made sense lol” Everyone seemed moved by your support towards them and nodded.
Again the boys reacted, they were so surprised they paused again and walked back and forth making sounds of excitement; They loved the way you answered the question and were so moved by your love and appreciation towards them and the way you saw them as a group. They felt like jumping and celebrating. They sat back down again to keep watching their favorite american artist talk about them some more.
Your episode was again cut and it skipped to another question:
“Y/n so you don’t have a favorite, but do you have a crush on any of them?, like if you could date one of them right now, which one do you pick?” A fan asked.
The guys chuckled at the question, they thought there was no way you would answer such a question.
“okay...well...Like I said just to be clear I don't have favorites amongst the group members, but I do have a type…. I consider one of them to be my celebrity crush”......
“So in that case, if I had to pick someone that I would date in real life...i would say…. Jungkook”
The. Guys. Went. Nuts. Jungkook immediately stood up and lifted his hands up in the air as if he had won an award, he paused the video and started smiling like crazy; his cheeks tinted in a redish pinkish tone, he covered his face as he was at a loss for words, he knew he was seen as attractive by female and male artists, he even knew of a couple of well known idols who had admitted to having a crush on him; but this was different, he had considered you to be his celebrity crush for years now, ever since your debut in america when you were just 15 and he was 16; he was a big fan of yours; he knew everything about you, he loved your music, he thought you were one of the prettiest girls he had ever seen, he even had a picture of you performing as his wallpaper currently; he constantly watched your videos and wished he could someday date a girl like you.
A staff member spoke, taking Jungkook out of his trance state: “How do you feel Jungkook?” He lifted his face from his hands and ran his fingers through his hair, his eyes were glossy and his smile wide. “I-I don't know what to say, I can’t believe it,” he said as he sat down looking at the pause screen, looking at your still image. His hyungs patted him on the back; Jimin turned his head to the staff as he was rubbing JK’s back with one hand, “You know Jungook has had the biggest crush on y/n for so long now” Jimin told the staff. The other members agreed and nodded. Jungkook looked up and spoke to the staff: “Yeah I remember listening to her debut song for the longest time without really thinking about who the artist was. When her first studio album broke records I decided to look her up, I watched a video of her talking about the album and her experience as a new artist and I think ever since then I have had a crush on her; she is my ideal type”
“Why is she your ideal type?” a staff member in the back asked JK. “Ha. um. well I think my ideal type of girl is someone who is funny and has a bright and cool personality; someone who as soon as they step into a room they immediately light it up; someone who is goofy and isn't afraid to become a joke or mess up; A confident person; someone who isn't too girly or too boyish; someone who likes to learn new things and from who I can learn new things too; someone who is younger than me; Someone who loves dancing and singing a lot, etc. And y/n is kinda all that and more tbh; He rambled, the guys were all used to his ‘secret fangirling over y/n’ habit, but the staff was taken aback; they only thought the guys thought highly of you as an artist, but this… they felt moved. “Ay ay, stop drooling, lets keep watching hahaha” Suga poked at JK’s side and pressed play.
The video time skipped again: “...I love that question, and your scenario is so cute, you should write a tumblr post about it, well yeah I obviously have created fake scenarios in my head about BTS, past crushes, fake arguments even hahaha, there are so many BTS fake scenarios in my head…. hmm oh I know which one, okay so this fantasy of mine is about how I would meet them irl and work with them, I will make it quick”
“Okay so, my literal fantasy is to one day meet them at a talk show, you know how hosts like to surprise their guests with something/someone they like?, I believe Ellen has done it multiple times where she surprised a guest with their idol or celebrity crush, you know?” The group nodded, invested in your fake scenario “Well i would be invited to like the Jimmy Fallon Show, where he would just randomly surprise me with BTS. Then I would be given the opportunity to introduce myself and tell them how much I love and support them. I would also be able to show them my korean speaking skills, I learned Korean and Spanish back in school and I have never been able to actually use either them, lol, anyway...well after that we would all become really good friends, and we would collaborate and put out one or multiple songs for you guys. I mean that's basically it, I wish I could meet them, and become their friend and write songs with them, even produce songs with Suga or RM if I could''
“What???? does she speak korean?”
“OMG Jungkook is she speaks korean marry her”
“OMG I wanna meet her now”
“That's so cute”
“She is so cool”
The guys added and all looked adoringly at the screen; RM and Suga also commented about how they would love to work with someone like you and produce a ton of music together and that they wish you all could collaborate in the future too.
_____
And That is how the boys learned about the video and your view on them….not only that they also learned about your embarrassing fantasy and celebrity crush…. After finishing their day at work, they went home and watched your episode complete this time. They felt like they accomplished something so important by just leaning your perception on them. Jungkook also felt that but he was even more excited than the rest, his celebrity crush had admitted to crushing on him back, he knows that the chances of meeting you or even having a friendship with you were probably non existent. And even if they did meet you, the idea of dating you in real life seemed impossible to him due to you both being artists, under strict and powerful companies, living opposite sides of the world, in different time zones even; but he was still happy, and the guys too; they all went to bed wishing they could someday meet you.

Comeback - Eunhyuk
A/N: Another Eunhyuk request! Reader is also an SM idol in this scenario. The original request mentioned reader being in Red Velvet but as much as I’ve enjoyed the music of theirs that I’ve heard I don’t know them well enough, so I’ve left it quite vague. Hope you like it!
You couldn't wait for your comeback. You and your members had been working so hard to make the best album and accompanying content for your fans, and today you would finally get to see their reactions to some of it. The lead music video for your comeback was premiering the day before the album release and you and the other girls were gathered in the living room of your dorms to see the feedback as it happens. Each of you was watching your social media and one of the members had even started an Instagram live video to chat to the fans.
You, however, kept flicking back to Eunhyuk's account. He was your boyfriend, and fellow SM idol, and it was driving you crazy that he hadn't said anything yet. He knew how excited you were, and you kept expecting him to call you, or message you, or at the very least share the video on his social somewhere.
After a little while of sharing others comments with group, you decided you were too distracted and just headed to see Eunhyuk in person. All the comments you'd seen had been positive and he was the person you wanted to share it with the most.
"Hyuk? It's me," you called out, as you entered with the key he had given you a few months back.
"Hey," he called back. There was no discernible emotion in his voice, confusing and worrying you.
You followed his voice to the living room.
"Hey, you," you said as you approached and sat beside him. "So?" you asked expectantly, but he didn't answer immediately. "Please tell me you watched the video?"
"Oh, I've watched it," he told you, his tone still giving you no clues.
"And?"
"Don't you think you should have least warned me what to expect?"
"I wanted it to be a surprise for you, and what do you mean warned you?"
"I'm not sure how I feel about the rest of the world seeing you like that. Or seeing that much of you."
"Hyukie, are you jealous because of a sexy comeback video?" you asked teasingly, trying to lighten the mood.
"No, it was just a shock," he retorted. "Plus, I think certain things should be for your boyfriend's eyes only."
"Oh, what? Like my legs? I'm an idol, of course sometimes the outfits and routines are going to be a bit sexier, but it's hardly like I was on display fully naked!" You were starting to get angry. You had been so excited about this return and concept, and here was your boyfriend, the person you loved most, trying to make you feel bad about it.
"Why didn't you tell me the concept?"
"I already said, I wanted it to be a surprise."
"Well, it was," he shot back.
"Why are you being like this?"
"Like what?"
"Like I've done something wrong?"
"How would you feel if Super Junior did something like that? If I was writhing around shirtless or something?"
"I wouldn't care. I'd be proud of you. I'd support you in your career because that's what girlfriends do," you retorted.
"Yeah right," he scoffed.
"I can't be around you if you're going to be like this. I was really excited about today and you're not going to ruin that," you snapped, before turning and marching out, back to your girls.
After venting to them for a while, you got yourself hyped up for the album release again. You all stayed up to midnight together to celebrate the moment the album became available. There were even fans who stayed up too and got excited online with you.
A few times Eunhyuk had tried to get in touch, but you left his messages unopened and his calls unanswered. The last thing you wanted was him bringing you down or ending up in an argument again.
He gave you your space for the next couple of days, but when you still ignored his messages the next time he tried to contact you, he decided he needed to see you in person to apologise properly. When he didn't get an answer at your dorm, he knew you'd be at SM practising.
He slowly and carefully opened the door to your rehearsal room, waiting there and watching you dance. Once the routine was finished you all broke away for a quick drink, this was when Eunhyuk approached you.
"I'm sorry," was the first thing he said.
You simply raised your eyebrows at him as you took a swig from your bottle.
"I was wrong in the way I reacted; it wasn't fair," he continued.
You sighed and walked away, towards one of your members and began discussing what dance you should practise next.
"Y/n, please, just hear me out."
"Girls," called out your leader, "Time for a lunch break, I think."
When you tried to follow the group, she stopped you. "Not you though," she said, looking pointedly at Eunhyuk. "You can't ignore him forever."
You stopped and stayed behind as you were instructed.
"I'm surprised you haven't scolded me for not wearing enough clothes," you quipped as you stood before your boyfriend in your cropped leggings and sports bra.
He shook his head. "You look great, actually."
You fell silent then, crossing your arms and waiting to hear what he had to say.
"I'm sorry," he repeated, but you stayed silent. "I think I let my own insecurities get in the way. I am so proud of you and the response this comeback has got. You deserve it all, and you probably deserve better than me."
You smiled softly then. "Hyuk, what is there to be insecure about? It doesn't matter how many comebacks I do, or what I'm wearing or how I dance in them, I love you."
"I know," he murmured.
"Do you?" you asked as you closed the gap between the two of you. "I was so excited about this comeback, and as eager as I wanted to see what the fans thought, all I really wanted to do was share it with you, and then I come round, and you get mad at me about it."
"I know, I know," he took you in his arms and held you tight before you broke away and pressed a kiss to his lips.
He was quick to react. Kissing you back passionately, his arms still wrapped around you.
"So," you said, pulling away despite his objections. "What did you really think?"
"Well, I haven't heard the album yet, because I want to experience it for the first time with you, but the video... If you really want to know what I thought about it, maybe you should come back to mine and I'll show you."
"Well, that sounds like an offer I'd be stupid to refuse," you grinned at him.
"Perfect." He kissed you again, before taking your hand and leading you out.

gimme feedback, much much appreciated!
“We’re all clear on the schedule, but I’ll repeat it for your sake,” you announced.
Your team was huddled around you, right outside the airport, with their luggage in their hands. You’d landed in Seoul less than an hour ago.
“So, right now, we’re going to take a cab to the hotel our company has booked us. We’ll rest, let our bodies recharge and adjust—because we left on Friday morning and reached Saturday morning in thirteen hours.” You grimaced. “Dunno about you, but my mind needs to adjust.”
You received collective groans of agreement in response.
“Great, you feel me. So we all do that first. And then we’ll collect in the lobby after lunch, at around 4 pm? I’ll have a word with BTS’ manager, and he’ll arrange for our commute. I’ll update you of the exact time, then. For now, let’s just go grab naps.”
You all hailed three taxis to the hotel, with Sana grabbing you by the elbow to make you sit with her. You did so, with a frown. She looked nervous.
“Y/N!” she almost wailed as soon as you’d shut the door.
The driver looked at her in alarm. You winced in embarrassment, and apologized in Korean. He started the car without a word.
“Sana, compose yourself. What is the matter with you?” you scolded the girl.
“Y/N, how am I gonna face him? I might freeze up at sight! And—and what if my brain starts to think up scenarios from… oh God, you won’t believe the kind of fanfiction-stuff I’ve read about him!”
Your ears started to warm up. You had some idea. It had been a while, sure, but you could still vividly remember the kind of fanfictions you yourself had indulged in—
Wait a second. This girl was gonna make you nervous, too!
“Okay, Sana, enough. It doesn’t matter how cute you find Yoongi, he’s our client. We’re gonna have to be formal with him. At all costs. We mess it up, we lose our jobs. You get that? So, think about your husband, try to be the professional woman he married, and for God's sake, stop making me overthink shit!”
Sana shut up, then, but her eyes still looked worried. "How do you do it, Y/N?"
You frowned. "How do I do what? I don't have a fucking crush on Yoongi!"
She gave a small laugh, looking slightly more at ease. "Exactly! How?"
You blinked, confused.
"I mean," she elaborated, "not just him. In general. How do you manage to not get dragged down by feelings and stuff?"
"I kinda had to." You snorted. "People are like leeches, Sana. You only stand a chance for a good, peaceful life if you avoid getting too close to them. Get caught up in feelings, get your soul sucked out of you. Get crushed under expectations, live the rest of your life trying to fulfil them. Die on the inside before your body perishes.” You shrugged. “A pretty horrid way to die, if you ask me.”
Sana gave a huff of laughter. “Who hurt you, Y/N?”
You froze. Sana probably said that rhetorically, but it still hit you hard enough.
It wasn’t the question of who hurt you, but actually, who you had hurt.
You shut your eyes for a few extended seconds, willing yourself to not think of the past. You succeeded for the most parts, too. But then Sana nudged your shoulder.
“Hey, I didn’t—I didn’t mean to upset…you…” She trailed off with a worried look on her face when you shot her a glare. “I’m sorry.”
“I’m not upset,” you grumbled, turning to look out of the window. “I’m just done with my quota of personal-unnecessary-unneeded-interactions with people, for the day.”
You heard Sana sigh. Mentally, you sighed, too.
You all found the two vans a bit excessive. There were eight seats in one—there were seven of you. But Manager Woo insisted that the boys actually used three of these to commute, so even this was a bit miserly of the management.
Rich people problems.
You shook your head with a small smile. “It’s all okay,” you said to the Manager in Korean, following his lead into the BigHit offices where you were to meet your clients for the first time, ever.
You chanced a discreet glance at Sana. Maybe your frustrated, shitty pep-talk in the taxi had actually worked, because she looked a lot more held together than she had ever since you dragged her onboards with this project.
“This way,” Manager Woo instructed you, gesturing towards a lift. “The security personnel will lead you to the second floor, and into the meeting room. I will join you in a while.”
You bowed and your team followed, and then you all stepped into the elevator that looked big enough to hold the meeting within itself. Two security guards, all suited up with a tie and fitted with earpieces in a stereotypical bodyguard look, followed you in.
You exhaled, rubbing your hands together. “Guys,” you addressed your team in English. “You all have the detailed itinerary on your tabs, right?” At their nods, you pulled your own iPad out. “Good. Keep it on you when I talk about it with them.”
“Y/N,” Simon called out to you.
You looked at the fidgety guy with raised eyebrows.
“Are we gonna stick with the choices…” He trailed off when your eyes narrowed.
“We’ve spent more than seventy-two hours researching, Simon. Please stop with this.”
Simon gulped, but shut up.
The elevators opened up, just then. One of the guards stepped out, and gestured towards the glass doors on the right. “That is the meeting room,” he said in Korean.
You all stepped out, elegantly, and you turned to bow to the two guards. “Thank you,” you said in Korean
They bowed in return, looking slightly flustered, and stepped back into the lift. You turned to face the meeting room, inhaled deeply, and then exhaled.
“Come on, guys. Showtime.”
You led your team as they walked behind you in pairs. Once you got to the doors, a guard stepped up from inside the room, and opened the doors for you.
A long meeting table sat in the centre of the room, with seven occupants on one of its sides. BigHit’s Founder and CEO sat at the head of the table, and the foot lay vacant—reserved for, you assumed, the Manager. Seven chairs also lay vacant for your team, opposite the BTS members.
As the door gave way, the CEO met your eyes. You gulped your nerves, and plastered a smile on your face. As you all crossed the threshold, the eight people seated on the table stood.
Dragging in a deep breath, you placed your tablet on the table before you faced them all. “Hello everyone,” you enunciated in Korean, and then bowed.
Your team followed your lead, and the people in the room bowed back. You kept your professional smile in place, discreetly wiping your sweating hand on the thigh of your cotton pants. Then you nodded at the CEO and he asked everyone to settle down.
“Welcome to Korea,” the CEO started. “Did you get here okay?”
“Besides the jet-lag, we’re actually very good,” you told the CEO to receive chuckles in response.
“Manager Woo will join us in a few seconds,” he then continued, looking between your team and the boys—that you were yet to properly look at—and gestured towards them. “Meanwhile, let’s introduce ourselves. I’m Bang Si-Hyuk, BigHit’s founder and CEO. Nice to meet you.”
You bowed, telling him your own name, and then shook hands with CEO Bang. Standing from your place, you finally willed your gaze to focus on the faces of the members instead of nervously looking into space.
Oh, wow. Cameras didn’t do these guys any justice, apparently. Not even the 8K ones, because they were really freaking beautiful human beings.
Dressed in lounge wear consisting mainly of extremely baggy hoodies as far as you could gauge, they still managed to look jaw-droppingly gorgeous. And their skin was glowing so bright, it looked unreal. But it was very much real because you were sitting across a three foot wide table from them, you could tell. It looked so soft.
You’d tightly held your lips up in a smile to save your mouth from dropping open.
While you were trying to get a grip on yourself, your eyes landed on a pair of brown ones framed by gorgeous lashes, right opposite to you. They were looking down. But then, they were looking up, as if sensing your gaze on them. Your professional grin involuntarily melted into a genuine one as Taehyung gave you a bashful nod of acknowledgement. You nodded back.
“Hello,” you mumbled, watching as his eyes grew wider. You blinked, releasing how private that sounded. You cleared your throat and ducked your head before looking at all of the seven guys in turn and nodding at each one of them. “Hello to you all,” you addressed them in Korean this time and told them your name. “And this is my team.” You gestured with both hands to your sides. “We’ll be your interviewers and companions for the next six months.”
A flurry of bows, nods and hellos passed over the table, followed by your teammates announcing their names. You doubted any of these would be retained, including your own. Which is why you handed over the seven identical copies of all your resumes to the CEO. “Here, Mister CEO. My boss had mailed them over to you, but these are to help the boys get acquainted with us better,” you told the man, and he gave you an appreciative seeming smile.
“That’s thoughtful of you,” Namjoon suddenly said, smiling with dimples up at you from his place on Taehyung’s right. His black hair was ruffled and a circular framed pair of glasses rested on his eyes. “I’m RM,” he said in English, “but please call me Namjoon. It’s a pleasure meeting you and your team.”
You smiled wide, shaking his hand when he forwarded it. His skin felt super soft, just as you’d expected it to be by looking at it.
The rest of the boys followed suit, minus the handshaking. They all insisted you all call them by their real names, which felt almost funny to you, because you were gonna be unwinding their whole life. This felt so unnecessary.
Just then, the door opened and Manager Woo reappeared. He bowed his head in the CEO’s direction before taking a seat to your extreme left, at the foot of the table. “Hello, everyone,” he said, “did I miss anything?”
“Just the introductions,” Namjoon filled him in with a smile.
Manager Woo nodded and then looked at you. “The next thing to talk about is the schedule your team has planned for us, so that we can sort out any doubts or disagreements that might be there.”
Nodding, you pulled up the itinerary on your iPad, and cleared your throat. “I have planned out a strategy of working on interviews, and then sitting back to compile everything in an orderly fashion,” you announced. “We’ll divide each one of the six months we have on our hands into two groups—three weeks of discussions, and one week of compilation. All seven of us would be working with one member each, one on one, continuously for a time span of three weeks. After that my team will sit together, compare notes and move forth with the actual writing part. Then we’ll check if something has been missed by someone and arrange for its cover up, before we move forward into the next set of three weeks.”
You turned to look at your team to see if any of them wished to add anything, but they nodded at you with discrete thumbs ups. You exhaled in relief.
CEO Bang nodded at Manager Woo, who hummed in response. “Sounds workable to me. Boys?” He gestured towards the band members.
You looked up to find seven pairs of round eyes and gawking mouths.
Murmurs ran across the seven angels seated opposite you. While they were distracted, you took your sweet time looking at each one of their faces. They really did look unreal.
Next to CEO Bang, Jin and Yoongi were engrossed in some discussion. With their heads bent, their hair shined blindingly bright—Yoongi’s like liquid silver, and Jin’s like molten lead. Next to Jin, Namjoon was adjusting his glasses over his shut eyes as he listened to Taehyung whisper something in his ear, and kept shaking his head in response every few seconds. Taehyung was almost drowning in his oversized hoodie with the hood up, as he used his hands with those elegant ass fingers of his to cover his mouth while speaking into Namjoon’s ear. Next to him, Jimin was nodding along to Hoseok as the latter spoke in whispers, gesticulating widely.
Your eyes fell onto the far end of the table, then. Jungkook, who was already looking at you, shot his hand up when your gazes met. His eyes were literally sparkling with curiosity.
“Yes?” you asked with a big smile.
Jungkook flashed his teeth at you, looking not a day over five years of age. “Is one week enough time to write?”
You frowned. “In theory, yes. But if things go south and we need more time, we can always extend the contract. Mr. CEO?”
“According to the clauses in the contracts, definitely.” CEO Bang nodded with a small smile. “The book has to be good. We can compromise with everything, except for the quality.”
You nodded in understanding. There was an extendable clause in your contract, but you had every intention to not have to employ it. Not only did your boss have huge expectations from you, but you yourself were determined to give this project your best. Better than your best. You’d wanted to manage a complete project by yourself for so long, this was your chance of a lifetime to shine.
Taehyung’s hand shot up, breaking you out of your thoughts. He looked beyond adorable with his eyes rounded and lips nervously folded in.
“Ye—yes?” you stuttered very unprofessionally and then covered up with a cough.
“Who works with who?” he said in a breath, confusing you for a moment. “Will you take chits out? Or ask us to choose?”
“Oh, no no.” You chuckled when you caught his drift. “We’ve already decided among ourselves and also done some homework. You’ll find your personal interviewers in your contract copies.”
“Did you decide by picking out chits?” Namjoon grinned at you, and you laughed.
It had been chits, but you weren't about to tell them that. “Something like that.” You shrugged, playfully, and giggles rolled over the table.
Manager Woo, then, launched into a set of instructions for the band members. CEO Bang kept adding details in the middle, and the band members just kept nodding along in a bored fashion. Maybe they’d been over this multiple times.
You sat back to relax, observing everyone as you listened to the set of rules and procedures you were already familiar with. You looked from the corner of your eye as Jimin elbowed Taehyung.
“Did you want to work with someone in particular?” Jimin’s whisper into Taehyung’s ear floated over to you.
Taehyung’s eyes briefly met yours, nearly burning a hole through your head by the deep curiosity emanating from them. And then he ducked his head again, shrugging Jimin off of him.
You swallowed, roughly. Oh, God.
Manager Woo wound up his instructions with a repetition of be as honest as you can be, and then called out to you. “Do you wish to add something, Miss?”
You looked at your team. They shrugged. You shrugged, too. “You’ve covered it really well, Mister Manager. I’d actually like to emphasize one of your points—this is not an interview.” You looked across the table, at each of their faces, turn-wise. “There would be no cameras, no recorders, and no one monitoring your actions. Relax and be at ease. You should, in fact, think of the sessions as making new friends. You tell them about yourself, and they tell you about themselves. Only difference being, what you tell them will get compiled in a book so there must be a bit more of that.”
Your eyes met Taehyung’s and he nodded with a small laugh. The others gave you similar reactions, with Hoseok giving a two-fingered salute.
“That’s good. Also, Miss, we would like to request your team to work around the boys’ bodyguards.” Manager Woo looked at you earnestly.
“We’re really very grateful that you’ve agreed to our request for privacy and not enforced the sessions to be with the boys’ managers.” You shrugged a shoulder, and exchanged glances with Sana and Nathan. “And so, we would be okay working in the presence of the bodyguards, no issues.”
Your team hummed and nodded their own agreements. Manager Woo nodded back with a huge smile, looking relieved.
“We have the first interview scheduled for the day after tomorrow,” he then said as he distributed the individual contract copies among the BTS members and then your team. “Have a look at the details, one last time.”
You could, by this point, recite the clauses of the contract in your sleep. Yet, to be respectful, you accepted the file and placed it before yourself. You looked to your right and then left at your team. “Any questions, guys?”
Meryl raised her hand. Your eyebrows rose in intrigue. You gestured for her to speak up. “Yeah, um. About the secrecy clause—can we get a rough estimate as to when the news of the biography will be released?”
You nodded along. That was kind of a good question.
Manager Woo looked at CEO Bang, and all seven boys’ eyes adorably followed. CEO Bang readjusted his glasses. “We are planning a press conference at the end of six months.” Whoa. “I believe you’re going to have to keep this secret for the entirety of the project.”
You exhaled. It was gonna be kinda hard, but you’d manage.
“I got you!”
Your head snapped up at Jungkook’s shout of joy. He held the file in one hand and the other was raised up, mid-cheer. When all eyes fell on him, he froze for a moment before folding onto himself, bashfully. The boys all broke out laughing. You too had to stifle yours, by looking down in your lap, to maintain your professionality.
When you looked up after a moment, your eyes met Taheyung’s again. He seemed to be slightly confused and kept looking between the file in his hand, you and Jungkook.
“Si… Simon?” he whispered with a heavy accent, but it was all you could hear despite the chaotic discussions happening all around you.
You pointed at the guy sitting next to you. “Him,” you responded in English.
Taehyung’s eyes reverted back to you. “You?” he asked in English, very quietly.
You paused. “Jungkook,” you responded, gesturing to the still blushing boy with your eyes. And then, realizing how intimate your exchange was, you flashed him a professional smile. “Simon is great at conversation! You’ll have a good time with him,” you old him loudly, in Korean, earning smiles from the Manager and CEO.
Taehyung had still looked a bit lost when you tore your gaze away from him and picked up your tablet, but you willed yourself to unlock the gadget and not let your eyes stray.
This was just your first meeting, and Taehyung’s person’s intensity was already too much to handle. You thanked God you weren't gonna work with him one on one, or you won’t survive.
But, little did you know.

‘Tansies’
“(Y/n)? What’s wrong?” Unease lacing Jimin’s voice as he shadowed your path.
‘No, never theorize before you have data,’ You reprimand yourself, recalling one of the many pieces of advice you had filed away for future use. For all, you knew Duri may have simply liked the vibrance of the golden blooms and added the sunny flower to accent the otherwise monochrome room with a pop of color.
“(Y/n)?” Tenderly taking your hand into his Surprisingly larger ones. His attention wholly focused on your ever-changing expression.
“Oh, uh, flower一uh tansies一 where? Where is she?” Mind working faster than your mouth could articulate, you stumble on your words, (e/c) orbs searching for a certain peach-blonde female.
“Where is who?” Jimin questions, his honey-brown orbs narrowing in confusion, your jumbled mess of a sentence further perplexing the silver-blonde.
“Soomin!” Your answer is immediate, almost urgent as your body makes a full ninety-degree turn, holding onto Jimin's comforting grasp, your eyes hunting for the peach haired woman in the space behind you.
“What?!” The woman in question squeaks, startled by your booming voice as she enters the room, having just returned from stationing her men to accommodate the situation. Preparing them to move out at a seconds notice though maintaining a certain level of organization.
“Flowers, did Ji-Eun like flowers? Or did she have an interest in them or anything?” You question the female eagerly, gesturing to the lavender vase as she fluidly makes her way towards the object of your concerns.
Her facial features fold into a frown at your question, looking at you as though you had just asked the most bizarre of questions. “Not that I know of,”
“Do you know who might have put those there?” You blurt, eyes actively scanning over the blonde girl's expression. The imperativeness in your voice may have come out more of as panic as Jimin’s hold around your hand tightens comfortingly, which does to some length relax your posture.
“Why the fuck would I know?” She glares, exaggeratedly dropping her hands to further display her incredulity.
‘Damn it,’ Your teeth grab onto your lower lips, softly nibbling on the soft muscle. The tightness of frustration seizes your chest. This did absolutely nothing to narrow down the variables and possibilities of what had really happened, and this largely widens the margin of error when making predictions or even planning your next move. There was nothing more aggravating than missing pieces of information, especially when lives were on the line.
“But,” Soomin’s sharp voice breaks you from your train of thoughts. “I do know that Duri would never own something as hideous as that,” Emphasizing “that”, she gestures to the slender lavender vase that held the flowers.
And she was right, although the vase in itself wasn’t all that awful. It was just that the lilac of the vase clashed with the golden petals of the tansies and the overall aesthetic of the room. But did that actually mean something?
The skin of your palms tingled as sweat accumulated on them from both excitement and fear. Your instincts scream at you in warning, there was more to these flowers. ‘No, that still doesn’t account for every variable. One of the maids could have put it there. Or maybe she just felt like having flowers in her room,’ But this was too perfect, flowers with a meaning of a declaration of a war placed at a kidnapping site of a possible ally. But then why bother leaving a declaration of war in the language of flowers? It would have been much easier to leave it in writing, would it not?
As a matter of fact, not leaving any sort of note or evidence of their presence would have given the kidnappers - or rather the Yeongs - a bigger advantage. So why go through the trouble of declaring war through flowers? And flowers of all things; if you hadn’t been there, the men and even Soomin together wouldn’t have caught it.
Your eyes widen at the thought; if you hadn’t been there no one would have noticed this message - if it was a message. And it clicked, this was a warning, a proclamation. And the reason behind the effort put into this covert notice. This message wasn’t just for anyone to find, this was a message for you to find and in translation for Bangtan. This was Yeong's declaration of war against Bangtan. But more than that, they were targeting you. They chose to relay their words through you.
In other words, this was a warning to you as much as it was for Bangtan. This was their way of letting you know they knew you existed and that they were preparing to deal with you as well. If they knew of your hand in the recent achievements then their mole must be much closer than you might have earlier anticipated.
“Jimin,” You breath out, your grip on his hand tightening in distress.
“What is it?” Jimin soothingly rubs his thumb back and forth, trying to ease your hold and worry.
“Tansies,” You say. “Tansies mean hostility, “I declare war against you”,” Eyeing the male you guide his thoughts to where yours were. The whites of his eyes are a little more visible as his eyes spread a tad apart, understanding what you were insinuating to.
“Are you sure?” He asks, his voice breathy in the same disbelief you were in earlier. You reply with a tentative nod, his expression souring as he turns to the peach-blonde female leaning against the wooden desk. “And you’re positive it was the Yeongs that called for this attack?” He asks Soomin.
“Well, considering we have security footage of one of Yeong’s closest men calling the shots on the scene,” She scoffed at the male’s question. “So yes, I’m sure,”
“So does this mean what I think it means?” Taehyung quips from his seat on the sofa.
“This is Yeong’s move,” Jimin mutters, his honey-brown orbs narrowing as he moves towards Taehyung and Hoseok.
“So Yeong’s called a war against you, huh?” Soomin’s voice audibly drops an octave, her chocolate-colored orbs sharpening into a glare.
“We’ll have to be extra careful from here on out,” You state, singing as you rest your weight on the desk behind you.
“What a shit storm,” The chestnut-haired breaths out as he rests his head against the back of the sofa.
“I can’t exactly speak for Duri but,” Soomin pauses. “Know that you can expect my full support going on out,”
“Oh?” Taehyung eyes the female.
“Yes,” She affirms confidently. “Yeong dares to take one of my own, my mother, no less. The bastard isn’t gonna get away with this,” Growling as she spoke, anger burned in her chocolate irises.
“We appreciate your support,” Jimin replies formally. An action you wholeheartedly agree with. If Yeong was on the move then Bangtan had to begin preparations as well.
“Don’t worry we can go over those details some other time,” Soomin waves her hand dismissively, knowing you wouldn’t have been satisfied with just her vow.
“Thank you,” Your eyes fall to the floor, head tilting down in respect to the girl.
“And I guess I should thank you too, huh?” Looking to the ebony-haired male that had been standing silently to the side.
“Huh? Me?” Hyuk questions, his eyes blowing wide as he points a finger to himself.
“Yes, you,” Chuckling, you nod. “If you hadn’t pointed out the flowers I would have totally missed it.”
“Oh, no!” Hyuk furiously shakes his head from one side to another. His cool disposition melting in a flustered mess. “I was just trying to make conversation, and those flowers were the first thing that caught my eye was all.”
“Well, I’m glad it did,” You smile at the slender man as he fakes a cough, gathering together his composure. “Thank you, Hyuk,” You softly express your gratitude, partly to further fluster the male.
“Uh, no probl一”
“We found her!” Namjoon charges into the room, cutting off the ebony-haired male. A cell-phone in hand, Namjoon power walks to Jimin. “Ji-Eun was there at the location,”
“She was?! Are you sure? Was she okay?” Soomin kicks herself off the desk as she practically rushes Namjoon.
“Yes,” Namjoon speaks. “The location you gave me led us to an abandoned building way far up in the mountains. I had operatives closest to the location scope it out and the building was guarded by Yeong’s men and she was there. Ji-Eun Duri was seen on the third floor of the building,” He narrated the situation.
‘This feels too easy,’ Your forehead knitted together as you listened to the male. Now that you knew of Yeong’s awareness of you, this was too easy, too simple, too straightforward. After everything that’s happened, it couldn’t be possible that straight forward. Almost as if someone had dictated the direction of the scene, like this was meant to happen.
Really thinking about the whole situation, this worked out too perfectly, considering a thousand variables that could have been in play. This scenario was far too ideal. If Duri’s captors had the time to place those flowers. ‘The footprints!’ Your head snaps to the floor as you examine muddy footprints left behind by the kidnappers.
And sure enough, none of the footprints led towards the vase, all of them stopped quite a distance from the desk. So unless they threw the vase onto the desk, someone else either planted the flowers late on or there was someone else with the kidnappers. But the question was who? And if all of this was scripted by the Yeongs then what was the real goal? What were they after?
‘Think, come on think. There must be something I’m missing! What could they gain by kidnapping Ji-Eun Duri? Why Ji-Eun Duri? And Why today? Why would they take her only to let us find her?’ Your breath caught in your throat as you realized you had just answered your own question. ‘So that’s what’s going on,’
“Well then, what the hell are we waiting for?” Soomin’s booming voice startles you from your thoughts. “Let’s get going already!” She briskly stomps out of the room.
“Hyuk,” Jimin calls for the charcoal-haired male. “Follow her and make sure she doesn’t get herself killed,”
“Sir,” Hyuk salutes before hurting after the female that had stormed out the room. Though normally the peach-blonde was a rational woman, however, going by the way she charged away. Her sense of reason may not be at its peak at the moment.
“Where is our team right now?” Shining, Jimin asks Namjoon.
“I told everyone to be on standby a good distance from the actual building. Which was made easy thanks to the place being surrounded by a forest,” The syrup-brown haired man reports.
“Good, tell them to stay there until we get there,” The silver-blond nods approvingly, making his way toward the exit before noticing your lack of presence.
“(Y/n)?” Calling for your name, the don pivots on his foot to meet your rattled expression as you stiffly stood by the desk.
“Where are Jiyoung and his family being kept?” You ask the two men.
“At one of our safehouses farther away from the city… Why?” Namjoon answers his calm features hardening into a serious expression.
“Jimin, Namjoon before we leave, can you do something for me?” You request.
“What do you want me to do?” The taller of the pair inquires, looking down at his boss questioningly.
“Man, they really dragged us out, huh?” Taehyung yawned, stepping out of the luxurious short limousine, he stretched his limbs.
“Where is Duri?” Soomin demands the minute she steps out of her sleek black SUV.
“Over there,” One of the many well-dressed men points to a cloud-grey, four-story building situated a distance away, and the more you examined it, the more it looked like a school. “She is being held in one of the rooms on the third floor.”
“How many of them are there?” Jimin comes to stand beside the peach-blonde as he questions the man standing before them.
“Not many,” The male answers. “Ten or fifteen at most,”
“That’s it?” Soomin blanches at the man’s reply.
“Yes, ma’am,” He respectfully responds.
“Report,” Jimin commands as the other man bows before beginning.
“The main and back entrances are each guarded by two guys. From what we could see there are men on each floor stationed around the stairs or hidden in rooms. The first floor has the most men, the second floor has fewer men, but the third floor is the least guarded,” He gives a detailed report of the situation.
“Do they have a sniper?” Namjoon asks.
“Not that we’ve seen,” A diplomatic answer if you’d ever heard one. The hickory-brown haired male that had been explaining the situation cleanly offered his findings without promising or assuring you of anything. You would have to remember to bring him up at the meeting, he could prove useful in a higher position, but at the same time, he could also become a threat. ‘No, stay focused,’ Shaking your head you refocus yourself on the task at hand.
“Send out the snipers, we’re going with the usual,” Jimin directs both the man standing before and Namjoon, who acknowledged the command with a nod, walking towards the group that had been gathered.
“The usual?” You question the silver-blonde.
“We attack with all our forces while our snipers provide support from a distance,”
“So basically you’re gonna rush ‘em,” You retold what you had taken away from the mafia don’s plan.
“Pretty much yeah,” Taehyung chirps in, hands behind his head, he strolls over to where you stood.
“What if they use Ji-Eun as a hostage and threaten to kill her?” A questioning brow lifts on your face as you ask the group of three men and a woman.
“I… didn’t think that far,” Taehyung pauses, surprised, his eyelids fluttering as his hands drop to his sides and into his pant pockets.
“Right,” You huff a breath as your brain moves to formulate a plan that would give you a better chance of getting Duri out of her captors hold, safely and quickly. Eyebrows furrowing together, your forefinger moves up to rub the skin underneath your lower lip.
Duri’s safety was the top priority, you needed a plan that ensured Duri’s well being while effectively dealing with the armed men and minimize damage and loss for both Bangtan and Soomin.
“First things first, we need to take care of the men closest to Ji-Eun. Then we can deal with the others as they come,” Heaving a deep sigh, you decide to speak your thoughts aloud when your imagination begins running rampant and muddling any coherent plan that may have formed.
“Tell me,” You call for the attention of the three men standing before you, the same thoughtful expression present on each of their faces. “Can the snipers take out the people guarding Ji-Eun?” You ask.
“Uh. We’ll have to draw them to a place where the snipers have a clear shot,” Jimin answers.
“But that doesn’t mean we would get them all and I don’t think the guys from the first and second floors would do nothing when they hear gunshots firing,” Taehyung adds, waving his hand dismissively as if rejecting your idea.
“If we could somehow clear the first floor, lure the men from the second floor to the first and take care of them there while taking out the guys up top, then we’d be golden,” Stringing together the few intelligible thoughts that you retained from the jumbled mess your mind had been.
“We sure would, wouldn’t we?” An aloof hum leaves the chestnut-haired mafioso’s lips.
“Thanks, Taehyung,” You grumble at his unproductive contribution to the conversation.
“Well then, why don’t we do just that?” A rich, honeyed voice resounds in the vicinity.
“Hyuk,” You say the name of the owner of the sweet voice. “There are too many variables, too many things that could go wrong,” You explain, providing examples of the many mishaps that could occur. “Like what if we don’t get all of the guys from the third floor? Or what if someone from the second floor got to the third floor?”
“Plus, we can’t exactly use guns,” Jimin chimes into the conversation.
“And why can’t we use guns?” Nose scrunching in confusion Taehyung asks.
“Were you even paying attention?” Your question flatly, your black gaze staring him down. “The loud sound would give us away,” You explain with another deep breath as exasperation made its way into your system. The situation was much more complicated than you had originally expected.
“No. I think guns will be plenty useful,” Hyuk strums as his forefinger swipes across his cupid’s bow.
“Oh really? And how would that be?” Shifting your weight in your other foot, you ask.
“Just leave it to us,” He says, much to your confusion.
“Us?” You repeat.
“Well, them,” The charcoal-haired mafioso gestures to the group of men and woman standing behind him.
“Them?” Your face scrunches at the male’s vague words.
“Yes, with the team gathered here today,” Hyuk further explains with a proud smile. And though your expression remained muddled with confusion.
“And just what exactly do you intend to do?”
“Hm, I’m surprised you don’t already know,” Your features sour at his words, though it wasn’t exactly his words that off-put you, it was his mocking tone of voice. Besides, did he expect you to know everything?
“And just what might that be?” You ask the ebony-haired male.
“It’s simple really,” He answers. “We’ll need a distraction upfront while people sneak in from the back. And when it comes to Ji-Eun-ssi, our snipers will be watching her until our rescue team has a chance to get to her,”
You fall into silence as you consider Hyuk’s plan. It was by no means a foolproof plan, but a plan nonetheless. It was a gamble seeing as you would be risking the lives of those who would be playing decoy, but it was absolutely better than just rushing into the enemy’s fortress without an organized plan of attack. You look to Jimin for his take on the matter and you see the same consideration that you had displayed on your face.
“Jimin,” At the call of his name he lifts his gaze to meet yours. To find the same question in your (e/c) orbs that he had been mulling over. After seeing a deep breath leave Jimin’s plump lips, you decide it would be better to do something than doing nothing.
Tentatively you pull Jimin’s soft hand into yours, giving it a reassuring squeeze simultaneously letting him know of your thoughts. His eyes fall to your hold before returning the comforting gesture, a soft smile curling onto his plump lips.
“Alright then, change of plans,” The don finally speaks. “Namjoon split the team into two, we will be going with this new plan,” He commands, piercing gaze landing on the syrup-brown haired man.
“Got it,” With a sharp nod, Namjoon turns towards the crowd standing by.
“Taehyung, Hyuk, you two are with me,” Removing his expensive navy suit blazer, then undoing the cuffs of his shirt, Jimin instructs his operatives. “We’ll be going with the infiltration team,”
“Oh. You’re dead fucking wrong if you think you’re leaving me here,” Soomin’s pointed voice cuts through the atmosphere as she shrugs off her black, business-casual blazer. Subsequently revealing a glossy, cinnamon-brown, leather double shoulder holster, two jet-black guns neatly tucked in their spaces.
“Do what you want,” Jimin’s voice drowns in apathy as he inspects one of the guns from his double shoulder holster - the gun you recognized as a tanfoglio force. You don’t exactly remember much about that particular gun; it looked awfully similar to the one you were carrying. ‘Now’s not the time for that!’ Admonition yourself for drifting thoughts, you return to the situation at hand.
“We’re going to be in enemy territory, be careful, watch yourself. And remember, the idea is not to get killed,” Separating from your little huddle, Jimin continued, once satisfied with the state of the weapon and securing it back into its place. Soomin and Taehyung wordlessly followed as the mafia boss made his way towards the decently sized group of men and women gathered.
Unsure of what you were supposed to do, you quietly trail behind the trio, assuming you would be tagging along as you had been up to this point. However, you were sorely mistaken as you were stopped by the baritone voice of a certain chestnut-haired mafioso.
“And where do you think you’re going?” Taehyung asks, stepping directly in front of you.
“Uh, with you guys?” Your answer comes out as more of a question, seeing as you yourself weren’t sure of where you were supposed to be or go.
“No, you are not,” Jimin interjected, gently pulling you into him with an arm, a gesture you gladly obliged, making yourself comfortable in his hold.
“Well, then where am I supposed to be?” Craning your head towards the silver-blond you ask.
“Here,” Jimin casually replies.
“Here?” Mimicking the mafioso’s words, you look at the male questioningly.
“Yes, here,” He says, his eyes drifting to Hoseok’s form. “While we take care of that, you and Hoseok are staying right here,”
“So, you want me to stay back?”
“Exactly,” Jimin nods.
“Why?” The question flies out of your mouth before your brain could register what was coming out of your mouth.
“You already know why,” The silver-blond’s response is immediate as his eyes narrow at the unusual amount of attitude that laced your voice. You lowered your head as his hardened gaze fell onto you. He was right, you did know why you were being left behind. With your current level of skill, you were more of a hindrance than any help.
“Just stay here, okay?” Sighing, Jimin pulls you into a proper embrace as he speaks to you softly, delicately even. “We’ll be back soon enough,” The warm breath of his whisper brushes against the inner shell of your ear ticklishly before moving his lips higher tenderly placing a lingering kiss on your temple.
The action sent the metaphorical butterflies of your stomach into a frenzy. There it was again, the Jimin effect, you contemplated officially naming this - now - regular phenomenon. With an inaudible groan, you bury your flushed face into his neck, sluggishly nodding a ‘yes’. Before a single coherent thought is finally able to process in your brain.
“Wait if I can’t go, then why are you going?” You ask, tilting your head upwards to meet two gorgeous pools of honey - which are Jimin’s eyes.
“Because I’m the boss,” The nonchalance in his tone truly astonished you, your agape mouth a clear sign of your amazement and dismay. How could he talk about walking into a dangerous and very much so a life-threatening situation so calmly, so easily?
“Isn’t that more of a reason to not go?” You blanch at he male’s coolness.
“No,” You receive a single worded answer as he gently presses a chaste kiss on your forehead before releasing you from his warmth.
“But一”
“Everything is set, we’re ready to move out,” Namjoon’s firm voice interrupts your oncoming rebuttal to Jimin’s short statement.
“Then let’s move out,” The silver-blond moves further away from you, though you suspect he was purposefully ignoring you.
“Jimin wai一” You call, only from the man to completely discounts your voice, continuing on his path. ‘He’s ignoring me isn’t he?’ Relenting with a sigh you instead decide to wish the group their best. “Be careful out there,” To which Jimin acknowledges your words, turning to give you an adorably sheepish grin. Before his gaze flickered to the crimson-haired male standing beside you, his golden honey orbs hardened into a chilling stare, a wordless warning.
“And they’re gone,” You say, heaving another breath, a wistful smile tugging at your lips. In your mind you were sure Jimin would be perfectly fine, he had been in the business for years, life-threatening situations were nothing new to him; he had faced and survived many of these situations since before you had arrived. So why would this be any different? He had survived many times before, he could surely do it again. Yet you still couldn’t help but worry your head off. The rational side of you knew he would be fine, but the irrational side of you ached to be by Jimin’s side to personally make sure he returned safe and sound. Not that you had the skill to actually pull that off.
“Hey, don’t worry about it, okay? As long as Taehyung’s with him, nothing will happen to Jimin,” Sensing your inner turmoil, Hoseok offers words of cheerful reassurance. “Besides I think he’s just trying to protect you,” He was absolutely trying to protect you. If the scowl Jimin had given him was anything to go by. Hoseok was convinced that regardless of if you had prior experience in the field or not, Jimin would have most certainly made you stay behind. A cold shudder reverberated through Hoseok’s body as he recalled the withering glare Jimin had thrown at him. A silent warning, saying something along the lines of “anything happens to her and it’s on your head”.
“Let’s go sit inside the car, yeah?” The scarlet-haired male gave you the best smile he could muster with Jimin’s warning still ringing in his head. Hoseok had seen the young don when he was angry - when he was truly angry. The palpable chaotic fury that rolled off the don moved in waves, crashing against all those who stood around him. The reason not many knew of the true extent of Jimin’s anger was that few ever survived his wrath. The silver-haired mafia boss was nothing to be trifled with on a good day, one could only imagine what he was like on a bad day.
Hoseok may have been close with the don, but you too held a special place in the mafia boss’ heart. Considering that factor, it would be near impossible to anticipate Jimin’s reaction should anything happen to you.
“Aren’t you going to sit with me?” Your delicate voice brings the mafioso back from the flashbacks of an angry Jimin on catastrophic rampages.
Hoseok gulps down the saliva that had pooled in his mouth before answering you, “Uh, no, I need to be out here, just in case they need me,”
“Oh, okay,” You return, closing the car door as you did.
Just as you had settled into your seat, the sharp, deafening sound of gunfire reverberated through the area, the pops of gunshots so loud they were heard over five-hundred feet away.
For minutes you sat silently, (e/c) orbs thoughtlessly tracing the stitches and ridges of the leather seats. The popping and booming of gunfire becoming nothing more than white noise, a strange emptiness taking over you. No thoughts passed your mind, you could feel yourself sitting down, you could feel the sharp biting sensation of running your nails up and down the first knuckle of your forefinger. Eyes zeroing in on a single point on the plush seat, it was almost as if your body had been locked in place, you could feel but you could not move - not fully at least, but it was more of you didn’t want to move.
You weren’t sure just how long had passed in this frozen state, but you were broken from your spell-bound state when your ears started ringing from the silence of the area. Inhaling through your nose, you leaned against the back of the car seat, stretching your arms as a drawn-out yawn leaves your lips. Wiping away the tears that had pooled at the corners of your eyes, you rub circles on the pinna of your ear once the ringing from the quiet becomes too uncomfortable. ‘It’s too quiet,’
Fully registering your thoughts, your eyes fly open, head swinging towards the car door where Hoseok had been standing against. The crimson-haired male had a similar look of confusion playing at his expression; head sawing from one direction to another, trying to make sense of the sudden quiet that had fallen on the previously bustling battlefield.
“What’s going on here?” Quietly mumbling to yourself, you gently push open the car door. Hoseok jumped, his hands automatically reaching for the guns tucked away in his shoulder holsters when he heard the door behind him open, his attention having been concentrated on gauging the situation, deciding on whether to send you home or not.
“Hoseok, what happened? Did they win?” Dangling your feet out of the car, you awkwardly ask, your proper communication skill having disappeared in that instance.
“Aish, (Y/n),” He sighs moving aside, allowing you space to step out of the car. “You surprised me.”
“So, are we done here?” Pushing the door closed, you ask the mafioso.
“I’m not sure,” He mutters, his hand coming to brush against his lips. “I haven’t heard anything from either team,”
A soft ‘oh’ leaves your lips as you watch the direction the two groups had left. ‘I don’t like this,’ The eerie stillness felt something akin to the calm before a storm. Anxiousness bubbled and churned in your chest, your palms getting clammy with your sweat when you suddenly felt your heart drop. A cold pricking sensation rapidly spreading throughout your body like vines of ice wrapping around your insides. Inhaling through your mouth while your mind flies in a thousand different directions trying to figure out why you felt that chill.
‘Just as BBC Sherlock Holmes said, “Intuitions represent data processed too fast for the conscious mind to comprehend.” So think! There has to be something!’ With your brain running a mile a minute, no coherent thoughts were forming, and even if they were forming you would forget them not a minute later as too many thoughts and scenarios all playing out in your head at once. Deciding your brain had once again failed you and that nothing comprehensible was coming out of it the next best thing would be to go into the building in person.
“We should go up there,” You breathe out, which was also the only warning you gave the crimson-haired male before storming towards the abandoned building.
“No, we’re gonna stay he一 (Y/n)!” Hoseok gets no more than five words in before he is chasing after you as you scamper off in the direction of the building.
“Come on slowpoke!” You exhorted, daring him to catch up to you. A horrible idea really, seeing as he was faster than you and would probably catch you before you even reached your destination, but more than that you weren’t sure what you would do once inside the building.
Usually, you would never rush into unpredictable situations where you weren’t sure just what exactly could happen or situations you had an obvious disadvantage in, but here you were charging headfirst into a practical battlefield with little to no fighting experience. ‘So much for being rational,’ You scoffed to yourself, though you knew you were running straight into the belly of the beast, you could feel the light flutter of excitement, however today, you didn’t have to bite back an excited grin. The ominous chill you had felt earlier was still ever-present, sitting at the forefront of your mind. And you knew this somehow involved Jimin, which only caused your stomach to churn.
“(Y/n), come back here!” All of the scarlet-haired mafiosos’ words fell to deaf ears. Not really, truthfully you were hearing every on of Hoseok’s words and you actually wanted to go back to the limo as there was a large possibility you would become a major hindrance to the people fighting, but something was happening, something bad, and you needed to be there to prevent it, only the question was, what was happening?
“What?” A quiet whisper that leaves your lips as your head frantically sways one side to another taking in the sight, or rather a lack of one. There were no people, no cars, no weapons, nothing; just barren empty grounds. You slow down to a jog as you cautiously enter the building. What exactly was happening here?
BANG BANG
You flinch when the loud booms of gunfire reach you, your eardrums ringing as you slowed further into a stalk as you navigated through the desolated building. But a single question rang in your head louder than any gunshot had, if there were people inside then why wasn’t there anyone outside?
As you quietly climb the staircase to the second floor, once again notice the lack of personale, enemy, or otherwise. The first floor was supposed to be just as heavily guarded was it not? So why was it deserted?
“(Y/n),” Hoseok growls, roughly tugging at your upper arm, you turn to look at him as his grip tightens. “We’re leaving now.” He barks, pulling you down the steps.
“Hoseok, Hoseok, come on,” Your attempt to call for his attention fails as he continues on his path with you in tow.
“What were you thinking!?” He chides you sternly. “What if something happened to you? What if you got hurt? What if they took you hostage too, huh?”
“Hoseok, listen to me,” You struggle against his stronghold, though your intent was to break free from his grasp, all you could do was struggle as Hoseok’s vice-like hold being too powerful for you to break. And thankfully he does. Halfway down the stairs he pauses and turns to you, though begrudgingly, he gives you the attention you requested.
“What?” The single word comes out like a quiet snarl.
“Guns are firing on the second floor, you can hear the fight going on up there. But the first floor is deserted, practically empty, why?”
“How about we go back to the car and then you can sit there and figure that out, yeah?” He says stiffly, turning to continue on his path.
“Hoseok, listen to me,” You plead, futile wrestling against the stronger male’s grip.
“I did and now we’re leaving,” Huffing, he turned raring to leave.
“Look, we're already here,” You exclaim, jerking your arm towards you, though his hold doesn’t falter in the slightest, instead just moving with your actions.
“Not for long,” Scoffing, he simply ignores your struggles as he moves.
“Hoseok,” You call helplessly, which is again met with indifference. ‘Alright then, be that way,’ If Hoseok was going to be difficult then you would have to get creative. You needed a distraction, something that would loosen his hold. But what?
You desperately searched for something, anything you could use when a wicked smile danced on your lips as you found your distraction.
“Jimin watch out!” Hollering at the top of your lungs, you tear your arm from Hoseok’s grip, his hold loosening as he processed your words. Immediately you break for the second floor, skipping steps at a time, you launch around the corner and into the corridors.
“Jimin, where?一 (Y/n)!” The red head’s voice booms as he races after you. “Wha一 (Y/n)! Don’t!”
All sense of caution out the window you focus on getting as far into the building as you could before you were caught again, a terrible idea.
“(Y/n)! Get down!” You barely register Hoseok’s words before the next thing you knew the floor was getting larger. ‘Larger?’ The only thought you were able to make out as a series of ear-splitting gunshots echo throughout the floor. And this was much, much louder than the one you had heard earlier as if they were right beside you.
‘Oh, right,’ Perhaps they sounded as though they were beside you because they were right beside you.
“My God! I thought you were supposed to be smart!” Hoseok shouts as he brings you closer to his body. Leaning against the wall next to the door, he returns fire, making sure to push you further against the wall to completely hide you from sight.
You wince when more gunfire follows, the already blasting noise of the shots reverberating against the wall of the abandoned building and becoming louder. ‘Earbuds,’ Quickly fishing out the noise-canceling earbuds and stuffing them at the entrance of your ear canals, effectively muffling most to all of the sounds.
“What the fuck?!” Hoseok curses while with practiced movements his hands automatically remove the used cartridge, changing them with new ones. ‘How many of them are there?!’ Carefully aiming at one of the two men that had been shooting at you he manages to injure one of them. But this wasn’t right, the first and second floors should have been cleared by now, so why were they still here? Alive at that?
“Shit,” He mutters as he ducks back behind the wall as a few more shots follow. His head snaps to his side when he feels a hand tightly clutching at his arm. ‘Now's not the time for that,’
Heaving out a sigh he uses the hand he had been holding the gun with to cover yours, giving it a reassuring squeeze with the gun still in his hand. His eyes soften when he sees your expression, eyes wide, eyebrows knitted, and lips tugging downwards, worry, and concern written across your face. However, this expression was different from your (e/c) orbs pooled with guilt and anxiousness. And he knew the idiot of a woman sitting beside him was worried for him much more than herself.
“(Y/n), listen carefully,” He speaks gently. “Go to the first floor and hide, then when you can get back to the car and get out of here. Here are the keys一” Your eyes fall to the single key with a sunflower keychain he places in your palm. “一It doesn’t matter where you go, just get as far as you can. Then contact one of the guys, and they’ll come to pick you up wherever you are. But, if you can, go back to the mansion, okay?” He instructs, but this felt much more like a goodbye, which you absolutely did not like. He didn’t even ask if you could drive or not. Regardless, you were not leaving, not yet, not without Jimin... and everyone else of course.
“And don’t forget, Yoongi gave you those for a reason,” His gaze points to the two firearms strapped to your thighs. “If you think you need it, use it,”
“Why are you talking as if you’re not gonna be with me?”
“Because I’m not,”
“Like hell, you’re not,”
“Okay, you were right. Something’s going on here, all this,” He gestures to the space around you. “Doesn’t feel right. And it’s become too dangerous for you to be here. So, you need to go home”
“Then you’re coming with me,”
“No, I am not,” He sighs. “I need to stay here,”
“Why?” You ask petulantly.
“Look, if we both leave then they’ll follow us, so I need to stay here and distract them while you get the hell out of here. Then I’ll just meet up with Jimin and the others,”
“I’m not going, Hoseok,” not without him, the words are left unsaid and you’re not sure whether Hoseok understood the unheard words or not. But more than that, no matter how experienced he may have been, one man against - god knows how many enemies - were not the odds you were leaving him in - not that you were leaving.
“(Y/n), you need to go,” The male pleads, exasperation evident in his voice. “Please,” He adds.
Beats pass though not a moment goes by without the constant barrage of enemy fire, just how many of them were there?
“Fine, I’ll go,” Gruffly, you mutter. You didn’t like the idea of leaving Hoseok in such unfair odds but you also knew that this was perhaps the only opportunity you would get to find what your senses have been roaring at you to find.
“Thank you,” Hoseok breathes a sigh of relief. “Alright, when I say go, you go,”
You nod at his instructions, you face to the opposite direction Hoseok was, reading yourself to bolt away.
“Alright go!” You launch off of your position, straight towards the staircases, and up to the third floor. Hoseok’s eyes widen as he watches you ascend to the third floor.
“(Y/n)!一shit!” Ducking away from the gunshots his eyes fill with panic as he sees your figure disappear up the steps.
“Jimin’s gonna skin me alive,” He snarls before digging for his second gun and fully entering the room, pure rage and irritation filling his veins. ‘Oh, you’re gonna get it the minute I find you!’
“I’m sorry Hoseok, but I need to do this,” Though in hindsight you never said you were going back to the car, you only said you would go, not where to.
‘Okay,’ Crouching, you cautiously approached the closest room to the staircase, though making sure to divert a part of your awareness behind you.
You could hear the muffled booms of gunshots as you made your way closer to the first door. Though judging by how faint the sounds were, you knew the shootout was happening farther up than where you were.
✧•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•✧
However, you maintained your cautiousness as you slowly peeked into the room. And the sight that welcomed you was nothing less than bloodcurdling, it was like you were in the set of a horror movie as any normal human being seeing this would be retching their guts out. Not many people understand the true extent of damage a bullet can really do. They don’t realize that a single bullet has the ability to not only pierce tissue but also shatter bones and even dislocate limbs, especially when in close quarters.
Bringing your palm to cover your mouth, your eyes rove across the room, taking in the sight before you. Lifeless bodies were scattered across the floor. For some you could see the damage that had been done; one of the bodies had been shot somewhere on the jaw, and the whole jaw had been destroyed, as a matter of fact, not much of the jaw was left. You could see some portions of the cheeks though the tissues frayed and torn with only parts of the upper jaw remaining.
The other bodies were in similar conditions, holes blasted through the flesh and bones alike. Leaving ruptured cracks and gaps in the muscles, chunks of flesh litter around the bodies, blown off by the bullets that pierced the flesh. Large rust-colored splotches decorated all corners of the room, no area had been left untouched, almost as if carnage itself had washed over. Although the sheer amount of dried blood would have been enough to make the sight gruesome, in this case, the blood was only a cherry on top.
✧•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•✧
Tearing your eyes from the horrendous sight of the room, you quickly charge ahead, caution once again was thrown to the wind as you try to accept your new reality. This was your new reality, this was your life, this was the world you had entered.
Your eyeballs burned as tears pooled at the corners of your eyes, blurring your vision. When coming into this life, you thought you knew what you were getting into, what lied ahead of you, what would become of you. You thought you knew, and you did, you knew this would become a part of your life. But knowing that something is a part of your life and watching it become a part of your life, were two very different things.
It was true you had your strange bouts of excitement at the most inappropriate times, in places where you should be fearing for your life, or fearing for someone else's life. But that didn’t mean you weren’t scared, that you didn’t fear the worst, however, that also didn’t mean you fully understood the worst.
Back then, perhaps you didn’t, it was more likely that you didn’t. Sure, you knew people would get hurt, blood would be shed, lives would end. You knew that in your mind, you understood it in your conscious, but seeing the death, the hurt, the destruction was much different from simply knowing about it.
And now that you truly understood the weight of death, you were scared - terrified. Perhaps it may have been much more bearable if you had only your own life to fear for, but you didn’t. You had eight other lives to worry about. Shelty, Hoseok, Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Taehyung, Jeongguk, and Jimin. Jimin.
You could feel a bitter-cold chill spread through your back, all the way to your feet as images of your dear friends in the same state as those people you had found earlier came to mind. Swallowing the lump in your throat you forcefully push away the image as far away as you could. Trying to forget the horrifying thought altogether, you shake your head clearing your mind, refocusing on the task at hand.
Breathing in a deep breath, then slowly exhaling, you steady yourself before moving on.
As carefully and as discreetly possible, you poke your head through the next door. And this room was in a similar condition as the first one. Tearing your eyes from the sight, you move on to the final door. However, the final room before the turn that continued onto a new corridor was without any traces of bloodshed. The room itself was old and worn down but bodies didn’t litter the floor or blood painted the walls.
Heaving out a breath you continue down to the end of the hallway before turning to the new corridor. And you could hear the muted booms of gunfire, though this time there were a lot fewer than before. And seeing as you were on the way to - what you were assuming - the only set staircase in the building, so there could only be one explanation to the reduced numbers of gunshots. People were dying. And you could only hope your friends were safe.
Quietly, you unlatch the strap holding your tanfoglio witness in place, removing the gun from its holster, you point the nose of the gun towards the floor. Inhaling and exhaling deeply you stabilize any shaking or jittering. If you were going to use such a destructive weapon you couldn’t afford to make many mistakes.
Muzzle pointing downward, hands tightly clutching the grip, you move into the new hallway. Taking deliberate steps you stalk towards the first door in the hallway.
Courtesy to the noise-canceling earbuds protecting your hearing you couldn’t hear much aside from muffled gunshots and muted shouting coming from the end of the long hallway. And because of those earbuds, you had almost missed the sounds of struggles coming from the first door.
Leaning against the wall along the door, you prepared yourself for whatever awaited you in that room. ‘What?’ Eyes the size of saucers, you watched motionlessly. The scene before you looked as though your nightmares had come to life.
Jimin, pinned to the wall by a tall, bulky man. Held to the wall by his throat, you couldn’t clearly see his face, but you could never mistake the silver platinum mop that was Jimin’s hair.
“Why don’t you just die already!?” A cry so loud you could hear the hulking man with dark mocha brown hair through your earbuds.
“Jimin?” A faint whisper leaves your lips. The words are so soft that it goes completely unnoticed by the two men.
Seconds pass of you standing there, unmoved, mind blank as you thoughtlessly started. But then your body moves as if it knew what to do before you did. You don’t feel yourself moving however, as your eyes remained fixated on the figure before you, there was a gun held up in your peripheral vision. And it was your arms that held the gun. You don’t feel anything happen but you were leaning forward, arms ready to support the backlash of gunfire. For seconds the gun bounces with the rhythm of your breathing. Up and down and up and down, before slowly the movements steady and you finally regain control and feel of your body. And you know what you have to do.
‘Always aim for the center of the chest. Hitting something is better than nothing,’ You recall Yoongi’s words, reciting them like a prayer. ‘Once you have an aim, lock it. Watch your breathing...then,’
Breathing in through your nose, you click off the safety at the side of the gun, then holding the breath you took in its place before slowly letting it out, watching the minuscule movements that came with the action. Then at the trough of your breath, you squeeze the heavy trigger, bringing it all the way to its end.
BANG
Your solid stance efficiently absorbs the shock of the gunfire. Though the powerful blast of the gun ricochets throughout your body, adrenaline pumping through your veins, you feel your heart’s rapid thudding in your chest cavity.
Your eyelids flutter as you gather your bearings, readying yourself for another shot if there was the need. But as you watch red bloom across the white suit jacket the man wore, your shoulder slack, arms falling to once again point the mouth end of the gun to the ground.
Breaking into a fit of coughs, Jimin gasps for the oxygen his lungs had been deprived of. Taking in as much air as he could and too occupied with accommodating his body for the air it had been denied he had failed to notice just who exactly his savior was.
“Holy Fuck!” He chokes out as he uses the wall he was being held for support. “Ha, ha, Taehyung一 Have (Y/n) sent home,” Taking in another deep breath he continues. “Tell Hoseok to take her home. It’s too dangerous for her here,” He speaks, head down, steadying his breathing, he was still unaware of just who he was talking to.
“Jimin,” Your voice came much softer than you intended to, though it was enough to get the male’s attention. The silver-blond’s had snapped up to meet your quivering form.
“(Y/n)!” He exclaims, immediately walking over the corpse lying on the floor, swiftly pulling you into the room before poking his head out of the door, looking both ways. After determining the area was safe he turned on his heel to face you, his vice grip locked onto your wrist. “What are you doing here?! You shouldn’t be here!” Gently pushing you closer to the back he hisses.
“I told you to stay back didn’t I! What are you doing here? Where is Hoseok?” He releases a barrage of questions, but you stand there wordlessly, eyes tracing his visage. You had almost lost him, you had almost lost Jimin. If you hadn’t come up here, no one would have found him, you would have lost Jimin…
The tears that were pooling your eyes earlier came crashing, cascading down your cheeks as a river of tears soon following the first few droplets, soft hiccups left your lips as you collapsed into Jimin’s arms, not caring the exterior of his suit and shirt were curated with dried blood. And pushing away the thought that you had just killed someone.
“(Y/n),” The don whispers softly, wrapping his own arms around your frame.
The tears slow once you feel Jimin’s comforting warmth surrounding you. Burying your head into the crook of his neck, you take in the scent of Jimin’s cologne as you felt the calm thudding of his heart and the soft rise and fall of his chest. It takes much longer than you had expected it would take to convince yourself that Jimin was indeed alive and breathing, that he was alright, and that he was with you.
“Yo, boss一oh,” You entirely ignore Taehyung’s voice as a ginger sigh leaves your lips, tightening your hold around the male, nuzzling further into Jimin’s familiar warmth. Though you feel Jimin’s head turns towards the owner of the nonchalant voice.
“What’s she doing here?” The chestnut-haired male asks the mafia boss, only to receive silence as an answer. “(Y/n), what are you doing here?” Taehyung questions you directly, and this time his voice was a deal gentler than what it had been before. Though again his question was only met with silence.
“Is the floor cleared?” Jimin looks at the male standing by the door.
“Uh一 yeah, we secured the building, and uh一 Ji-Eun Duri was freed. And well, everyone gathered back in the room we found Ji-Eun, you were the only one not there… so I went out to look for you,” The younger awkwardly explained. “I’ll just head back, you guys come whenever you’re ready,” Taehyung quickly adds before scampering away.
“(Y/n),” Sighing softly, Jimin speaks. “We need to go,”
“Okay,” You mumble as you reluctantly let go of the male. Jimin tenderly takes your hand into his as he leads you back into the hallway and to - what you assumed was the bigger room.
“(Y/n)! There you are! Oh my god! Never ever pull something like that again! Do you hear me?!” Hoseok’s voice booms in the room as he comes in barreling towards you, though his intentions to chastise you fizzle out as he takes in your dazed form, clinging to Jimin’s arm.
“I’m sorry Hoseok, I promise I won’t do that again,” Your eyes flutter open and close, a small smile curling on your lips as you are brought back from your disoriented state.
“You better not,” Hoseok adds, his eyes narrowing playfully.
“I won’t,” Chuckling, you return. Your quiet laugh smoothly eased the tension that had built on Jimin’s shoulders, his expression reflecting the release of tension as his scowl morphs into a fond smile.
“So you actually found everything I left, huh?” Duri’s crows from her position on the single chair that sat at the center of the room.
“I guess I did,” You hum.
“Well, good job then,” She gives somewhat half-hearted praise.
“Hah, thanks,” You huff out a playful scoff.
“(Y/n),” Namjoon calls and you hum at the call of your name. “About the thing, you asked me to do before we left,”
With the progression of Namjoon’s words, your mind instantly sobers, now wide awake and fully aware of your surroundings and situation. ‘You can contemplate life choices after we get home. For now, focus,’
“Right,” You reply. “What happened?”
“It was exactly as you said,” The syrup-brown haired male speaks grimly. “There was an attack at the safe house Jiyoung and his family were being kept in. As well as an attack at the hospital Gu Joon’s sister was being treated in,”
“I see,” You mumble, bringing your index finger to rub the skin under your lower lip.
“Wait. Wait, What?” Taehyung arms flail in the air, his eyes wide as he questions you.
“Wait, we did make it in time, didn’t we?” Ignoring the chestnut-haired male, you continue the conversation.
“Thanks to your warning we did,” Namjoon says. “Jiyoung and his family were moved as soon as we left for this location. So was Gu Joon’s sister,”
“That's good,” You breathe a sigh of relief, it would have become quite problematic if anything were to happen to those people.
“Oh? So the little fox able to see past Yeong’s trick?” Duri's eyes narrow as a smile curves onto her lips, amusement dripping from her onyx orbs. ‘So she knew?’ You thought, examining her overly entertained expression.
“I certainly hope so,” Grumbling, you tug Jimin closer to you, more so than you already were. ‘The tansies!’ The words jumped in your mind as you talked to the female, almost as if triggered by the presence of the older woman.
“Tell me, Ji-Eun, do you like flowers? Or have any interest in them?” You ask, tentatively waiting for the charcoal-haired woman to answer.
“Flowers?” She parrots, her eyes narrowing quizzically.
“Yes, flowers,” You affirm. “I didn’t really take you for someone who would be all too interested in flowers, but the flowers on your desk were really pretty and very well taken care of,”
“What flowers?” Duri questions, your eyes narrowing at the woman as a sly grin twisting onto her lips.
“You know, the pretty yellow flowers that were on your desk,” You describe tansies without mentioning the flower by name.
“I don’t have any flowers on my desk,” She answers, head tilting back as she crosses her legs. With the sly smirk the woman wore one would assume she was lying, but this Ji-Eun you were talking about. This woman could never be as simple as that.
‘So it was the Yeongs after all,’ You watched as his expression grew ever more amused as the time passed. You may have not known her for longer than a single night, but anyone could tell, she was not a woman so easily interested. She was a cautious woman, you knew that much. It was not possible she would just let herself be kidnapped, for someone who's been in the business for as long as she has, she was taken without much of a fight. From all the experience she had, one would think she had precautions taken for such events.
Though there may have been a few explanations, at the moment the most probable one was that she let herself be caught. She did this on purpose, but then, she also let herself be found. Why? Why would she let herself be caught then leave a way for people to find her? Though it was more of she was allowed to be found and yet. She had this whole elaborate plan for people to find her. ‘An elaborate plan?’ Your eyes widen as you register your own thoughts.
‘Of course!’ You had assumed that her whole iCloud rescue plan had been created in advance, a just-in-case precaution - seeing as she didn’t carry any trackers - so the iCloud tracking method was near perfect for this situation.
But that was precisely it, it was perfect for this situation. And that is why the method is so flawed - as a matter of fact - the iCloud tracking may have been the most flawed tracking method of all. For one, if the mobile phone had been switched off the computer wouldn’t have been able to track it. And what if her battery had run out? What if they had taken her farther and possibly out of the tracking radius? What if they had destroyed her phone? Or taken it? Like any serious kidnappers would. There were too many uncontrollable variables and not enough information. Simply put there were too many conditions to be met for the plan to work successfully.
And thus the conclusion, she knew she was getting kidnapped and that her kidnapping was nothing more than a distraction for something else. It was a distraction for the Yeongs to be able to regain control over their former operatives or possibly even revenge against them for betraying the Yeongs.
‘But was that really it?’ Revenge against the former members? Did the Yeongs even have the resources for something so petty? But then, why would someone smart enough to make a two prompt plan - infiltrating Bangtan’s ranks then using a ceasefire signing and attack to send Jiyoung into the fray - do something so brash and unnecessary as taking revenge when they had already suffered heavy losses.
“Unless,” too absorbed in your own thoughts, your mouth moves before your brain does.
“What?” Hoseok questions, unsure of what you were saying.
“Nothing, I was just thinking,” A sheepish grin curls onto your lips as you reassure the men around you. The redhead eyes you doubtfully, but drops the subject nonetheless. Sighing in relief, your drifts from the male to land on the awfully entertained expression dancing on Duri’s face, her onyx orbs taunting you as she watched you reach the somewhat guided conclusion.
The many puzzle pieces were coming together, the jigsaws were fitting into their places. Only for you to realize the puzzle you had just solved was nothing more than a piece in a larger whole.
“Right, so how about we postpone that meeting for another time and call it a day for today,” Soomin quips, a hand on her hip - she tries her best to maintain a blank expression, however, an exhausted scowl breaks through her usually well-crafted mask.
“We can hold the meeting five days from Wednesday,” Duri says, massaging her wrists as she stood from the chair she was most likely bound to. “I’ll send your right hand the exact date.”
Humming in acknowledgment, Jimin looks to the three core members present, a silent command lying in his gaze. Quickly recognizing the order the men swiftly move into action. Namjoon turns away, fishing out his cell-phone and calling god knows who; while Taehyung moves to talk to - who you were guessing - the many Bangtan operatives that were standing to the side. Hoseok on the other hand, entirely excuses himself from the group, jogging down the hallway you had come from - probably to get the car ready, though you weren’t too sure just what exactly he had planned to do as you had the keys to the car.
“Five days from Wednesday then,” Jimin bids the two women goodbye as he places a hand on your back, gently nudging you towards the same way you had entered form.
You weren’t sure just how long the whole ordeal had actually taken, but the sharp orange light that covered the grounds told you it was much longer than what you had may have felt.
The rest of the daylight passed in a blur as there was much to do. Many of Bangtan’s members were injured, few fatally so. Those who were gravely wounded were rushed to the gang’s official doctor, but most of the operatives only had minor injuries: cuts, scratches, bruises, easily treatable wounds. And though it wasn’t part of your original job description, your inner doctor wouldn’t let those injured go without cleaning and dressing their wounds.
That was where the rest of your day had gone. Cleaning and dressing wounds of the twenty or so operatives that had participated in the day’s rescue mission. However, with only you on the job, getting to everyone - quickly - would have been nearly impossible. Fortunately, Jin had joined you in your endeavors, putting the skills you had taught him to use. And going by the speed you were getting through people, it was almost as if two long term professionals were on the case. A pleasant surprise really, you had assumed Jin would fumble with the bandages of the first few patients - a sound assumption, seeing as Jin didn’t have official training before working with you - but you were proven very wrong as the older male swiftly and deftly handled the bandages, efficiently treating one patient after another. And thanks to that great efficiency, you were done with everyone long before the moon had reached its peak. Though, you couldn’t help but feel as if the day’s patients were used as exercise tools to improve the male’s skills.
A soft chuckle left your lips as you stepped into the luxurious waterfall shower, where the shower head was attached to the ceiling. The controls of which were actually quite easy to operate; there was a knob for hot water and a knob for cold, the only problem was - they were both identical to each other… and the shower head was right over the controls as well. So you did the only thing any sane person would do, you turned both knobs to where you thought would be the right temperature, then ran like hell to the other corner of the shower space.
You sighed as the hot water soothed your tense muscles. Looking up, you let the water splash you face, and though the temperature of the water may have been a tad too hot for your face, that was the only thing you could do to distract yourself from the feeling in your chest, or rather the lack of feeling. The warm liquid cascaded down your body as you motionlessly stood under the falling water.
‘Who am I kidding?’ Brining a palm up to cover your eyes, before lowering it, you gaze falling onto the limb. This was the hand you used to pull the trigger, this was the hand you used to end a life. But it doesn’t shake, it doesn’t quiver, it doesn’t tremble now and didn’t tremble then. You remembered it, you remembered everything - vividly - like a film in HD.
How you held up the gun, how you aimed, how your body moved, everything. Though you also recall not feeling nothing.
No, that wasn’t true. That wasn’t true at all. You did feel it, you felt every bit of it. From raising the gun to pulling the trigger, you felt it all. Your body wasn’t moving on its own, it was you, you were the one in control, everything that happened was what you did. Then why did you think your body was moving of its own accord?
A question you were doing everything possible to avoid, a question you didn’t want to think about, a question you already knew the answer to. And you knew, part of the reason you insisted on treating the wounds of those injured was so you had something else to focus on, something to distract you, something you could use as an excuse to not think.
‘Maybe I am heartless,’ You thought as you used a fluffy white towel to dry your body, quickly slipping on a pair of penguin shorts and an oversized t-shirt, you shuffle out your door towards your last patient of the day.
Softly knocking on the double doors, you wait for Jimin to allow you in. Though minutes passed not a sound came from the room. ‘Is Jimin not in?’
“I’m coming in,” You announce as you hesitantly twist the golden door handle, poking your head through the crack you had opened. And the sight that welcomed you, had to be one of your favorite scenes you had ever seen.
There he was - a ferocious mafia boss - sitting on his bed - running his fingers through the fur of Shelty’s fluffy head on his lap as he read to your seventy-pound puppy dog.
“Well hello, you two,” You playfully greet the pair as you take your usual route to the first-aid box.
“Hey,” Jimin returns, closing the book in his hand, he shifts farther into the bed, making room for you when you return.
“You didn’t come by earlier,” You mention, as Jimin - in fact - hadn’t shown up to the medical room for an injury check. And coincidentally enough happens to be the only one of the four that you had yet to examine. Granted, you did somewhat corner the other three into an examination.
“Were you injured?” You ask, easing your way back to the bed - tentatively sitting beside the male.
“No,” The silver-blond answers shortly.
“Don’t lie to me,” You huff
“I’m not,” Removing his shirt over his head, the boss pouts.
“Uh-huh,” Nodding in mock agreement, you eye the small cuts and scratches littering his forearm.
A peaceful silence falls as you wordlessly apply antibiotic ointment to the healing wound. And even though you had repeated this routine nearly every night since your arrival, skipping removing the bandages still leaves an odd discomfort. It felt as if you had missed a step when in reality it was just the night bandaging happened after Jimin’s before bed shower and the old bandages were removed before he would shower.
Gently wrapping the fresh, clean gauze around the boss’ shoulder your mind drifts as your hands move with practiced ease. The events of the morning felt almost as if it were part of the distant past, not something that occurred just hours ago. The kidnapping, Duri’s clues, her clues actually leading you to her, the tansies, the attack on the two former Yeong operatives, you little epiphany, you killing someone. So much happened in the span of fewer than twelve hours. Your movements slowed as your thoughts drowned your consciousness. A familiar melancholy settling in your chest once again.
“(Y/n),” Jimin’s voice is soft as he calls for your attention.
“Huh? what?” You snap from your thoughts with a heavy sigh as you look to the silver-blonde in question. “What’s wrong?” You ask.
“Nothing,” He pauses. “It’s just, you were spacing out,”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” You apologize, moving on to the smaller cuts and scratches. “It’s gonna sting, okay?” Softly, you warn the male, bringing an alcohol pad to his forearm. For minor injuries, you used band-aids to cover them up.
You fall into another silence as you individually place each band-aid on each scratch. While reflecting on the events of the day, you fail to notice the stiffness of this silence. It was unlike when you enjoyed the silence and simply basked in each other's presence. This was a familiar silence, a silence that had fallen once before. And Jimin was quick to recognize.
“(Y/n),” He mumbles, gently taking your hand into his then pulling you into him. “I never really thanked you for saving me, did I?” He whispers, rubbing soothing circles on the small of your back.
“Thank you, (Y/n),” The silver-blond murmurs in your ear, placing a chaste kiss on your temple.
“Jimin,” You mutter into his bare chest, turning your body to comfortably rest against the male. “It’s happening again.”
“(Y/n), you did what you had to do,” The hold around your body tightens as he speaks.
“I felt nothing, I feel nothing. Even as I pulled that trigger there was nothing. All I knew was I had to do it, but there was no reluctance, no hesitance, I wasn’t scared,” You barely make out as your throat constricts, eyes prickling with tears that threaten to fall at any given moment. A hollowing feeling burning in your ribcage.
“But that’s exactly what scares me,” You lift yourself from his chest just enough to meet Jimin’s honey-brown orbs. “It scares me I could kill someone so easily, then move on even easier,” Your tear ducts run loose as droplets of salty liquid freefall down your cheeks.
“Once I even thought my body was moving on its own,” You scoff at your own miserable excuses. “But it wasn’t, it was me. I was moving my body - I raised the gun - I pulled the trigger, I killed the man.” Your voice comes out much stabler than you had expected.
“You know, I think the only reason I thought my body was moving on its own was that I was trying to justify my feelings. I was trying to justify not feeling anything as I killed a man.” Your voice elevated as you spoke, getting louder and louder as the sentence went on.
“Who does that?!” You exclaim, hand moving wildly, exaggerating your words. Jimin opens his mouth to speak, but you cut him off - continuing on your tangent.
“And I know I said that I would take things as they came, but I killed someone. I ended a life with my own two hands. I should feel something shouldn’t I?! Remorse? Pain? Guilt? Something? Anything? But I don’t. And that’s terrifying, but maybe even that maybe I’m just tricking myself into thinking I’m scared, maybe I’m not even scared!” Your voice rises as your words bumble together into barely coherent blubbers.
“Hey, hey, it’s alright, it’s okay, you’re okay,” He shushes you, pulling you back into his embrace, tenderly running his fingers through your locks. The feeling of his digits combing through your hair instantly soothing you.
“It’s alright, there is nothing to justify,” He speaks slowly, calmly. “You did what you had to do to protect your own,”
“That’s not it! I killed someone just hours ago and I just moved on like it was nothing!” You try to convey your thoughts, but your thoughts were getting louder and muddling as time went on.
“(Y/n),” Jimin murmurs.
“Just what kind of monster am I,” You rest your forehead against Jimin’s bare chest, all your bravado draining from your body as tears continue to run down your flushed cheeks.
“(Y/n),” All he could do was try his best to comfort you and hope you snap out of your current mindset. Jimin wasn’t all too sure how to react when you reprimanded yourself for something those in the mafia community were trained and schooled to do. The first kill is never light, most aren’t even able to pull the trigger, while some retch their guts out once they do. He had been carefully observing your behavior and temperament from the moment he realized you had just had your first kill. He was prepared for you to hurl your guts out the moment you saw the dead body, or even later, thinking it may have been a delayed reaction. And yet there was nothing, especially after you had regrouped with everyone else. He could see you were distracted, but quickly regained composure then almost instantly returned to your work. As you were standing, he could practically see the wheels in your head-turning. And if there were ever a ranking or a test for newcomers, you would have passed with flying colors. Yet you couldn’t see how useful and quite honestly necessary abilities you had.
Eventually, as it was made clear you would be spending the night in Jimin’s room - he fully pulled onto his lap. Continuing to rub circles on your back as you cried.
“I don’t know what to do,” After what felt like hours of bawling your eyes out, a quiet whimper left your lips as the exhaustion of the day and the crying hit you like a freight train.
“Just keep going as you are and you’ll be fine,” Jimin whispers next to your ear, his warm breath against your skin sending goosebumps down your spine.
“Whas that supposed to mean?” A muted whine resounds in your chest at the feeling, you bury your head into Jimin’s neck, nuzzling into his skin as you basked in his warmth. The strong pull of sleep swamped you as the pleasant heat of Jimin’s body and his comforting touch ease you into sleep’s embrace. And at that moment, it was just a tad too tempting to resist.
“Goodnight (Y/n),”

Favourite IU Lyrics
To celebrate iu’s 12th anniversary and give her the appreciation she deserves, here are 10 of my favourite lyrics that iu has written (in no particular order):
Note: iu has so many writing credits and so many songs that are strong as a whole that I don’t think I could ever choose my favourite lines from all of them or ever actually make an ordered list of favourite to least favourite. Also keep in mind that these lyrics and songs are open to interpretation so how I describe them may be different to what you think. I’m just doing this for fun so please don’t get mad at me if I don’t include your faves, and hey maybe I’ll make a part 2 someday
1. Bad Day
“I feel someone’s body heat on the empty playground bench
Why is this warmth making me feel even colder?
I bury my face in my scrunched up shoulders
My hands that I hid in my pockets get cold”
Bad day is such a special song to me. It was with this song that I realised there was something special about iu’s writing. I just love the whole metaphor of a cold room being used to describe a bad day. She took a relatable concept and was able to create an extended metaphor out of it that somehow describes the feeling so well, a feeling that some may struggle to put into words. I have mental illnesses and we know that iu has struggled with mental illness too, so this just feels like a very personal song and that just makes it better. You know that she felt these things and poured her heart into this song.
2. Ending Scene
“As much as you were lonely
I really hope you meet someone
Who will love you more than you
I’m sorry that it wasn’t me
It’s not easy to give
Don’t say those words, please
You know those words hurt even more”
I’m usually not big into love or break up songs, but something about this just feels so unique and heartbreaking. It’s not a bitter break up where they hurt each other, the other person is wishing her the best and admitting that they’re not right for each other, but that just makes it worse because they are clearly a good person who cares for her. It’s just so well written and a new perspective and that’s something I really appreciate about iu.
3. Can’t Love You Anymore
“Where are you?
Where are you?
I’m home
I’m in a cab
Are you almost home?
Oh, I’m sorry
For what?
Just, everything
Go home
I left my wallet there
Oh, hey
Never mind
No, what is it?
I don’t think
we’re in love anymore”
How could I not include the iconic back and forth with iu and oh hyuk? This again feels like a unique break up song in that it’s so chill. There’s no big reason for it, they just simply fell out of love and are now unable to be like they were before and are just tired of being together. I think this part shows that so well because not only are the lyrics great but the delivery of them as well. It just sounds great and is fun to sing along to (or at least try to sing long).
4. Eight
“So are you happy now?
Finally happy now are you?
I’m the same
I think I’ve lost it all
Everything comes on it’s own and leaves without a goodbye
At this rate, I don’t want to love anything”
Eight aka song of the year starts off strong and stays that way throughout (thanks partly to yoongi of course). IU has lost two close friends these past couple years, and from the mv it seems clear that the song is talking about her memories with them, as well as being another song that focuses on her age and how she’s growing up. For those reasons these lyrics just really hit hard. IU is such a strong woman and I hope that she is able to create more truly happy memories.
5. Red Queen
“Children obviously but adults too
Even the things that don’t have life
Everything fell in love, fell in love with her
Her heart was that beautiful too
Even when she gazed
At the tiniest, poorest of things
Those passionless, depressing eyes
Used to sparkle so bright"
This is another song with a connection to sulli. IU said that she was inspired to write the song because of a drawing sulli did, and the lyrics seem like they are telling her story of going from being loved to hated by the public, especially as after she passed away iu changed the lyrics at her concert to pay tribute to her. This obviously makes the song more touching now, but there’s even more to appreciate. I really love the structure of the lyrics, how it’s like she’s telling a fun silly story but underneath it’s actually very dark. This is helped even more by the instrumental and vocals, which shouldn’t be surprising because we all know iu is a musical genius. Red queen is easily one of her best songs.
6. Blueming
“I’lltextyouwithoutanyspacesIthinkthisislove
A hundred roses, wanna make them bloom with me?
Let’s color the flowers however we want
So it’s beautiful even when it withers”
It was really really really hard to choose my favourite lyrics because there is so much going on in this song, every single line has something to appreciate. I love when art can take something simple and make it poetic, and that’s what iu does well. The song as a whole is about texting your crush, and she describes this as creating flowers in their chat room, blooming flowers together as their relationship also blooms. It’s simple yet effective. Again I’m not big into love songs but I can appreciate poetry when I see it and damn do I see it. And can we just take a moment to appreciate how cool that texting without spaces line is? In the mv they type out the hangul without any spaces just so we can see that she really did that, wow.
7. Greedyy
“Girls be ambitious, own more, whatever it may be
There are so many things that are such a waste to give to others
Everyone tells you the same line as if promised, be good
If you don’t wanna you don’t have to, don’t have to”
Now we love a good bit of female empowerment. This song is actually by jea and moonbyul, but iu wrote the lyrics (moonbyul wrote her own I think). I think it says a lot that iu wrote a song for another female singer and she decided to make it about ambition and taking what you want. It honestly gives me cindy from the producers vibes. This song is very underappreciated so please check it out!
8. Through The Night
“Just like letters on the sand
Where waves were
I feel you’ll disappear
To a far off place
I miss you again and miss you more”
Through the night actually had to take some time to grow on me, but now it is one of my favourite iu songs ever. I don’t know why but this song often makes me cry, it’s just so full of love and admiration for whoever it’s about and iu’s vocals help put so much emotion into it. I think I cry because I make up scenarios in my head that make it more personal and hurt more, and I think you can do that with a lot of iu’s songs which really helps the listeners experience. I think with the palette album iu really hit something with her writing, it’s so full of emotion and poetic techniques. I’m so happy palette won album of the year and this song won song of the year because they both really deserve it.
9. BBIBBI
“Yellow C A R D
If you cross this line, it’s a violation, beep
Keeping manners stop here, it’s ma ma ma mine
Please keep the la la la line
Hello stuP I D
If you cross that line, I’ll get serious, beep
Stop it, keep the distance
Cause we don’t know know know know
Comma we don’t owe owe owe owe (anything)”
An iconic song. Bbibbi is a song telling the public to stop giving hate to celebrities and to stop invading their privacy, but in true iu fashion she keeps it upbeat and strangely polite. This got iu a lot of attention and I think that proves how good she is at writing. She did something new and empowering while still keeping in line with her image, and people really responded to this. This was another song where it was very hard for me to choose the lyrics. I went with the chorus but I also really love the pre chorus where she is repeating negative comments she receives, I just think that’s really cool.
10. Leon
“My heart used to be quietly asleep
But why did you throw a stone,
making me wanna dance?
Please hide my shaking eyes,
my black sunglasses”
Now maybe it’s just because films are my biggest passion in the world, but I really love this song. This part is sung by park myung-soo (iu still wrote all the lyrics) and is meant to be from leon’s perspective. I really like how iu took full advantage of this song being a boy girl duet because it allowed her to write from both perspectives and have fun with it. Something about it actually reminds me of red queen and I just really enjoy the vibe. I’ve noticed that korean people seem to really like leon the professional and I find that interesting, especially as it’s about the relationship between a 12 year old girl and a grown professional assassin man, but that’s a conversation for another day. As it is, this is a great song that was very successful in korea, and queen iu deserves all the success and praise.
If you somehow read all this, thank you so much and please stream eight!
