Salad is a Four Letter Word
Tumblr media
Soooooo Venom seems to be popular again, especially with my new pal @ticklishdeadpool so this one is for you, buddy! 🍻
While I don't think I'm going to see the new movie I did decide to dig into my graveyard of abandoned fics. Found this WIP that I had started after the first movie came out and have now filled in all the gaps for your viewing pleasure. It was a little tricky as I haven't seen the movie in awhile, but hope I did okay. For that reason, I probably won't be writing anymore Venom fics for the current time, but at least this one will be out there now.
It's a totally nonsense-type of fic. lol Didn't really have anywhere that I was going with it so it had been abandoned, but still just fun, silly interactions between Eddie and Venom. With tickles of course! Me, write a fic without tickling? 🤣 Good one.
If you have a flesh-loving alien inside of you, you don't threaten to force him to eat salad. 😆
Venom (Movieverse)
Word Count: 2,546
"What are we doing here? We don't like this place."
Eddie let out an exasperated groan as he stood in the lobby of the hospital, waiting for the elevator to come back down.
"I already told you, Anne just wants to be safe and have Dan check me out. You know, just in case my body is having any adverse effects to you practically living inside me."
"We can assure you it is not," Venom gave an offended growl from inside of him just as the elevator doors opened.
"Yeah, well as much as I'd like to believe you we'll let the body scan decide that," Eddie nodded as he stepped into the elevator and pushed the button to the correct floor.
"Eddie doesn't trust us," the symbiote accused, prompting Eddie to roll his eyes as they moved up the floors of the building. For a powerful super alien from outer space he could sure be sensitive sometimes.
"Shut up, it's not that it's just that I need proof. I'm a reporter, and I like to have the facts."
"The fact is you're being a traitorous piece of shit."
The elevator finally stopped as they reached the selected floor and Eddie walked out into the hallway. He sighed heavily once he stopped in front of the door to Dan's office; his eyes looking up towards the ceiling as if trying to find his calm.
"Tell you what, if you behave here then we'll go get some McDonald's after this. Fair?"
"....Ok, deal. But lets make it a quick visit! I'm hungry!"
"You're always hungry," Eddie shook his head as he opened the door where the doctor and Anne were waiting.
"Hi Eddie, really nice to see you again," Dan welcomed him as he stood up from his desk and walked around to shake Eddie's hand.
"You too. Uh sorry we're late. My alarm didn't go off, and when I was trying to get out the door Venom was being his usual primadonna self and-Gaah!" Eddie grunted when a single symbiote tendril reached out and poked him in the ribs, just under the armpit.
"Keep talking, Eddie," Venom hissed threateningly; his head popping out from his host's back and wrapping himself over the wide shoulders.
"Well now I see who wears the pants in this relationship," Dan laughed, but it died out when Eddie gave him an annoyed glare, not finding his joke amusing in the slightest.
"It's a good thing you're a doctor and not a comedian."
"And it's a good thing you're a reporter and not a giant loser....oh wait," Venom snickered to himself while Eddie glared back at him.
"That's it. Deal's off."
"NOOOOO!!!" Venom wailed in sorrow as Eddie gave a smug grin and reconfirmed his earlier comment.
"See? Primadonna."
"Come on, guys, take it easy. This will all be quick and painless," Anne tried to break it up, though always finding their antics to be amusing.
"Yeah, it shouldn't be bad at all. Very standard procedure. So if you're ready we can get this all underway."
Eddie was then handed a hospital gown to change into as Dan led the way down to the lab.
.......................................
"Alright, buddy, we're gonna do an MRI now, and I know you don't like that so take a hike for a minute," Eddie instructed the alien as he gestured a thumb away from himself.
"Do I have to?"
"Just do it, would ya?"
"Ohhh ok," Venom grumbled as he seeped out of Eddie onto the floor, mostly forming into a blob, but with a serpent-like head extending out. Eddie blinked for a moment and then smirked down at the symbiote.
"You know, I never noticed how cute you actually look like that."
"We are not cute!" Venom glared up at him as Anne looked the symbiote over and nodded.
"You kinda are," she agreed with a grin, causing Venom to hiss and slither off out of the room.
"Well lets get this over with before Venom has a heart attack from not eating for thirty minutes," Eddie joked, purposely saying it loud enough for the alien to hear.
"It's been an hour, you prick!"
"Ooooh sorry, one whole hour! Someone better call CPS on me," Eddie rolled his eyes and climbed up onto the table. He then laid down with his arms at his sides as Anne looked back at Dan to give him the go ahead.
"Alright, we're all set. Here goes nothing," Dan said over the speaker as he controlled the conveyor to slide into the tube until only Eddie's legs and feet were sticking out, "Now try not to move and this won't take long."
"Got it," Eddie nodded, but with the position he was in Anne couldn't resist teasing him a little.
"Comfy in there?" Anne grinned playfully, running a finger up the bottom of Eddie's bare foot as the man yelped and jerked his leg.
"He-Hey! Well not when you do THAT!"
"Sorry, it's just too easy," she briefly tickled his other foot receiving another squawk of objection as Eddie pulled up his knees to put his feet flat on the table.
"Heehee, stop it!"
"Get him again, Anne," Venom goaded into the microphone from where he sat next to Dan inside the control room as Eddie yelled back at him.
"Shut your mouth, parasite!"
Dan was trying to remain professional, but had to use his hand to cover his mouth so he could hide his amused smile.
"Lay still, please. Anne, leave the patient alone."
Anne smirked, giving him a wink as she walked away to join Dan and Venom. Once he saw that she was at a safe distance Eddie put his legs back down.
A few moments later the machine came to life and began the in-depth scan, while the three observed on the monitors in the control room. After a minute of looking at the pictures on the screens Dan cleared his throat.
"Hmm. Well that's interesting...," the doctor trailed off in his thought, making Eddie assume something was wrong.
"What? What do you see?! He hasn't been snacking on my organs, has he?! Venom!"
"Actually everything looks perfectly normal. Organs are all intact, no restrictions in your blood flow, heart looks healthy, brain functions are top notch. All in all I'd say you check out just fine. It's incredible," Dan put his hands up in astonishment as he sat back in his chair.
"So you're saying that having Venom inside of him hasn't done any damage whatsoever?"
Anne was just as surprised to learn this new information as Dan shook his head in response.
"Not that I can see, no."
"Told you, pussy," Venom sneered haughtily, slithering out of the control room back into view while the conveyor drew Eddie out of the machine.
"Well that's a relief," Eddie sat up and immediately began putting his clothes back on, "Guess I can sleep better tonight knowing that this parasite inside me isn't leeching off of my body so much."
"That can easily change if Eddie keeps calling us names...," the symbiote growled as Eddie just shook his head with an amused smirk. Dan then walked out into the room, scribbling some notes onto a clipboard.
"Alright, well since we're all done with that it's safe for Venom to get back into your body now."
"Yes!" Venom whooped as he quickly hurled himself at Eddie, knocking him back onto the table.
"Hey! Watch it!" Eddie grunted as he then found himself forced off of the table to his feet.
"Come on, lets go Eddie! Now!" Venom shouted as he took control and yanked Eddie's body across the room towards the door much to the surprise of the other two.
"Uhh, goodbye?" Anne gave an awkwardly half-wave.
"I promised him McDonaaaaaaald's!" Eddie's voice faded as Venom violently drug him out of the room.
A SHORT WHILE LATER....
"Happy now?" Eddie asked with a sickened frown as he recanted watching Venom devour over ten quarter pounder cheeseburgers. The alien belched in response from inside of him as they walked down the sidewalk.
"Yes. That will probably hold us over for another hour or so."
"You know, you're a pretty expensive date," Eddie groaned as he looked into his wallet, only having a few dollars remaining now.
"Would you rather we ate a human instead?"
"Uhhh no, heh. No, I'd appreciate if you didn't do that," he laughed nervously as he glanced around at all the people on the busy street that Venom could easily snatch up if he so desired.
"Well then you shouldn't complain. Besides, you love us."
"In a really screwed up kinda way, yeah I guess so," Eddie smirked, "Now shut up, will ya? People are gonna think I'm crazy if they see me walking around and talking to myself."
"People already think we are crazy," Venom pointed out, making Eddie shake his head.
"Not complete strangers. Now not another word until we get back home. Got it?"
"But Eddie we can't stay quiet that long..."
Eddie just kept his mouth closed, pretending he didn't hear anything.
"Eddie...."
Still Eddie continued to ignore him
"EddieEddieEddieEddieEddie!"
Eddie just continued facing forward as he focused on getting back to his apartment down the street.
"Ignore me will you...," Venom then grinned slyly as he crept out underneath Eddie's jacket to stay unseen and then gently squeezed the man's shirt covered ribs, making his body jerk in an unusual fashion.
"Gggnnh! You little...!" Eddie yelled just as he was passing a mother with her child, who looked at him accusingly as she pulled her daughter closer and hurried on.
"I'm...I'm sorry, I didn't mean....Not her, I just....," he tried to explain himself as he stammered after them to no avail, hearing the mother mention something to the little girl about, 'That is why you don't do drugs'.
Venom chuckled at how perfect the timing of that had been as Eddie growled.
"Alright, very funny. Now stay still and stay quiet," he muttered, trying not to move his lips too much as his outburst had attracted some unwanted eyes.
He'd made it another half a block before his sides were being attacked again as he stumbled and clamped his arms down.
"Eeheehee!" He gave a high-pitched giggle, prompting some of the street vendors to give him odd looks as he blushed and tried to walk a little faster.
"Will you stop? You're making me look insane."
"Can we talk again?"
"No!" Eddie hissed, "Just keep your fucking mouth shut, and wait until we-Ehahahah!"
The tentacled goo dug into his armpits for a few moments as Eddie squirmed in place and laughed wildly.
"No, not there!" He yelped just as the tickling stopped, looking up to find people had paused on the street to stare at him with curious eyes.
"I uh...heh.....I'm just uhhh....," when he couldn't think of any kind of believable explanation he quickly just turned and walked away again.
"I hate you so much right now," he whispered loudly through gritted teeth, hearing Venom laugh from within and knowing he was getting a big kick out of making Eddie look like a fool.
"Think that's funny? Well guess who's eating nothing but salads for the next week or two."
Venom's snickers immediately were cut off as he was now silent for a moment.
".....You're bluffing," his voice was full of uncertainty and worry and that made Eddie smirk, knowing he had the upper hand now.
"Tickle me again and find out, fucker," Eddie threatened vaguely, and just let Venom stew in his thoughts for now about whether he was being serious or not.
It seemed to work as he had now made it a few blocks without incident, even stopping to have a nice chat with Mrs. Chen when he came across her sweeping up her store front.
"Evening, Mrs. Chen."
"Hello Eddie. Not going to buy a chocolate bar today like usual?"
"No, no chocolate. I was thinking about going on a diet actually," Eddie smirked slightly as he rubbed at his stomach.
"Ohhh, he's not going to like that," she smiled, referring to Venom and knowing that he was the one who had the sweet tooth.
"Well it's for his own good. Besides he's been misbehaving a lot lately so I had to put my foot down. Say you don't happen to sell any saHAAlads, do yoohou?" His body spasmed out of nowhere as the shop keeper gave him a concerned look.
"What's wrong, Eddie? Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm f-INE! I'm juhust....Venom keeps....teehehehehee...I...I gotta go-ho, Mrs. Chen," Eddie stuttered through his giggles as he gave her a wave and continued on his way down the street.
"Don't worry, dear, he'll be back for that chocolate," Mrs. Chen called to Venom with a smile as the alien peeked out from under the back of Eddie's jacket and gave her a wink.
"V! What did I tell you?!" Eddie spat once they were out of earshot, "You really want to eat nothing but salads for a week?!"
All was quiet for a few moments before Venom finally gave a reply that made Eddie's skin crawl.
"Worth it."
A split second later and the tendrils were everywhere on his upper body; this time staying underneath his t-shirt to get directly at the bare skin. They were wriggling all over from his hips and belly all the way up his sides into his armpits, and there was nothing Eddie could do to try to hide his reactions.
The man was in a laughing fit now as he nearly fell over but managed to find his footing and continued to hurry down the sidewalk despite all the people staring at the hysterically laughing man as he went by. The tickling was unrelenting this time as he desperately looked for some kind of escape.
He finally was able to duck down an alleyway, stumbling and tripping over a garbage can as he went further down. After giving a brief look to make sure no one was around he collapsed with his back against a wall and shouted through his laughter.
"Okaaahaay! Okaahaahaaay! Hahahaha! You caahaan tahahalk agahahain! Now pleeeheease st....stop tihihickling meeheee!" His arms uselessly pressed to his sides as he kicked out and squirmed.
"And the salads.....?" Venom pressed with goo squirming up to tickle the reporter's sensitive neck as well, making him squeal out giggles.
"A johohoke! Juhuhust a johohohoke! Ahaahahaheeheehee! Plehehease buhuhuddy! I'm sohohorry!" Eddie shouted for mercy and was grateful when it was granted to him as he tried to calm down and get his breath back. Venom then popped out of his jacket to give him a shit-eating smile.
"Nice of you to come around, Eddie."
"....You're an asshole," Eddie glared playfully at him, giving him a small shove.
"Takes one to know one."
"Yeah? I thought I was a pussy?"
"Yes, but you're our pussy," the symbiote replied as Eddie's face gradually twisted in revulsion.
"Uhhh, thanks? I mean, that hardly sounds like a compliment, but thanks?"
"The best pussy we've ever had," Venom grinned proudly, in his mind thinking that had sounded better as Eddie only sighed and put his face in his palms.
"Please stop."
"Definitely the biggest."
"You can still eat me, right?"

Ticklish Vyn Richter x Reader
Romantic + 47. “I wasn’t even touching you.” Requested by anon for my 1K Followers Event🌻
Tumblr media
It was still early and the scent of coffee and baked egg still lingered in your apartment as you cleaned up the kitchen.
You hummed and thought about today's plans. "Vyn, will you join me to the store today? I need to get some groceries."
"Sure thing." Vyn stood right by your side to help you clean up and -
"AHh!" you suddenly yelped and pulled your arms back immediately. The salt which you were trying to put on the top shelf fell from your hands, and you watched how the little container fell on the floor, scattering the contents all over.
Vyn stared at it. "I guess we need new salt too," he said dryly. You sighed.
"I'm sorry about that," you whined, and you kneeled down to clean up the mess.
"What happened anyway? Did I startle you?" Vyn asked. You blushed.
"I thought... I thought you were going to tickle me. Silly, right?"
You glanced shyly at his reaction, and he chuckled.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did you want me to?"
"No! You just moved your hand like that, and my arms were up and... it's a normal reflex, don't worry about it."
"I think it's because you're just too ticklish," Vyn said teasingly. You gasped and blushed even more.
"Dr. Vyn, as a psychiatrist you should know everything about human reactions like this. It's called anticipation. A-anyone would've reacted like this."
"Only anyone who's as ticklish as you are. Very true, sweetie."
You held back a laugh. Sometimes Vyn was just too smug and teasy. Such a know-it-all. You interrupted the salt-cleaning by grabbing his wrist, and you pulled him up. You cornered him against the kitchen counter and looked at him intensely.
"I'll show you. Here. Arms up."
Vyn stared at you. "And if I don't want to?"
You rolled your eyes. "Then I'll say you're a childish doctor who can't prove he's right. So, arms up!"
Vyn, though still smirking and looking way too confident, raised his arms.
"I think you're actually being the childish one here, but I won't say it. So, like this?" He put his hands behind his head.
You nodded. "That's more like a model pose, but sure. So I move my hands like this," you said, moving your hands closer to his exposed torso.
Shit. He didn't even twitch! He cocked his head. "And then what?" he asked.
"And then..." You moved your hands even closer. Damn, was it really just you? Too ticklish to even get someone's hand close to you whenever you lift your arms without activating your jumpy reflexes? You knew Vyn was ticklish too. Maybe not as bad as you were, but you really thought he'd react.
Hm... You wiggled your fingers experimentally. Now that worked. Vyn lowered his arms in surprise.
"What's wrong? I wasn’t even touching you." Now it was your turn to be smug. Vyn glared at you.
"I didn't wiggle my fingers. It doesn't count," he said, grabbing your hand and intertwining your fingers to make you stop wiggling them right next to him.
"Oh but it does count. I was proving to you that reacting because of anticipating tickles could happen to anyone. Unless... you fall in the same category as me? Are you that ticklish as well? I don't recall it," you teased, and you were pleased when you successfully landed an attack: you brought your free hand to his side and started to tickle.
"Hehehey! Don't - now y-you're just beheing- ahhhahah!" Vyn giggled. Cute. He dropped your other hand and tried to catch the tickly one, not realizing he freed your hand to do just the same. Now you could tickle him with both hands, and Vyn wiggled charmingly against the kitchen counter.
"I'm just being ahahah? I'm afraid I do not understand, doctor," you sang. Vyn's reflex was taking him further back into the kitchen in a cute ticklish dancing routine. You chuckled when you flexibly hopped around the salt on the floor while he pranced right through it with his bare feet.
"Right through the salt you go," you giggled, catching him again when he couldn't go further. Then when you managed to dig both your claws into his tummy from behind, you really had him. Your lover thought he could tease you about being ticklish without consequences? Think again!
"Okahahay! Point mahahade! Now s-stohohop!" Vyn laughed. Usually strong enough to pin you down and tickle you to tears, Vyn actually didn't seem able to shake you off him right now. You couldn't believe you hadn't tried to tickle him before. Well, at least not like this.
You had sometimes given him a soft tickle here and there, a little poke or some flirty things like sliding your finger down his back, enough to make him gasp or giggle, but it'd usually result in just a mild reaction and your own downfall.
What a nice discovery on a plain Saturday morning!
"Ihihif you d-don't stop hehe- I'll-!" You didn't let him finish and managed to twirl him around so you could stand on your toes to kiss him.
Vyn laughing like this really had made you fall in love with him even more. You felt him relax, as did your fingers on his sides. You wrapped your arms around his middle. Pressing your body against him, you really were getting ready to taste more of him. But no making out was going to happen the moment Vyn buried his fingers under your arms.
"HNGah!" You jumped with your arms still around him, and your eyes widened in realization.
"I was going to say... If you don't stop, I'll get you back twice as much. Did you want that to happen?" Vyn asked in such a stern voice it sounded sexy.
"I.... I stohohopped!" you laughed, but Vyn was already tickling you. Well, that was bound to happen, and soon you sank through your knees and literally went rolling through the salt, squealing and cackling while Vyn had his well-deserved revenge.
Oh well, adding this salty tickle fight to your romantic experiences with Vyn Richter... you couldn't really complain!

You Look Different, In A Good Way (Zayne) (Full N$FW chapter down below on Ao3)
C.W.
- A Zayne x MC ship - Fluff and humour - Fluff and smut - Orgasm - Zayne top / MC bottom - Fingering - Gentle Dom - Angst
.
.
.
After having a fresh, new haircut, you take a walk down the road, and your phone softly chimes out a notification. It reads:
Appointment with Dr. Zayne ♡ at 5:30pm!
“...Oh no!”
It doesn’t take long for you to finally arrive at Akso Hospital, running and panting through the entrance, your feet pounding the marble ground in a hurried, uneven cadence, sometimes stumbling or misstepping but never slowing down. You can’t be late for a doctor’s appointment, after all.
Trying to catch your breath, you sit down on a waiting chair outside of Doctor Zayne’s office, waiting as time passes by. The waiting room outside of Doctor Zayne’s room is quiet, except for the footsteps passing by and the occasional cough.
Your hands rest on your lap, fingers idly twisting the strap of your white purse. Every few moments, you glance at the clock on the wall.
You then open your purse and pull out a compact mirror, and flips it open. You couldn’t help but make your posture subtly straight as your eyes meet your reflection.
“Hmm…”
You tilt your head, just a little, gazing at your new haircut with a quiet, satisfied smile playing at the corners of your lips.
Fufufu~ Let’s hope Doctor Zayne will be surprised about this! I know he has never seen me in this haircut before, he’ll be so surprised that he can’t speak!
You rest your back against the wall as your mind ventures to multiple hypothetical scenarios of Zayne’s reaction to your new haircut.
Your lips curl into a smug while you run your fingers through the freshly cut strands, stopping only when you hear the creak of a door opening from the corner of your eyesight.
“Miss, Dr. Zayne is here to see you now.” The nurse steps outside and calls you, and that makes you straighten immediately. You then give the nurse a polite, small smile, your bright eyes darting briefly to the floor before you walk in.
“Surprise!” You walk into his office with a stride. “I arrived much earlier this time, Dr. Zayne!”
Zayne, whose hazel eyes are once focused on looking through the manila case files, stops what he’s doing and looks at you.
“...Quite unexpected.”
Hehe~ Prepare to be surprised, Doctor!
Instead, the black-haired young man picks up his tablet, walks towards you, and gently taps your head with his tablet. The light thunk breaks your grin into a small ‘o’ shape, and you rub your head as if the tap had any real force behind it.
“Either way,” Zayne turns around, walking back to his desk. “You’re just in time for a check-up.”
He comments on his typical, cold objectivity.
No excitement, no wide eyes, no noticeable shift in expression. His words hung in the air like an afterthought.
Taking a seat while Doctor Zayne prepares his stethoscope, you feel the weight of disappointment settle in your chest. Your lips pressed together, forming a tight, small line.
He didn’t even say anything. I thought he’d say something, yet…
Meanwhile, as Zayne gently places his stethoscope on your chest and listens to your heartbeat. His brow furrows slightly as he focuses on your breathing, but something else catches his attention– your mood.
Your arms are crossed tightly over your chest, lips pursed, and cheeks puffed out in frustration. The subtle signs of annoyance are hard to miss for someone who knows them so well.
You avoid direct eye contact, looking off to the side. You then give a quick, almost imperceptible huff, your shoulders rising for a split second before you turn your head away, feeling peeved and a little foolish for expecting a bigger reaction.
With your head being turned away, you don’t notice an expression adorning the doctor for a moment.
After he finishes your weekly check up, his tone becomes soft as he asks, "Are you okay? You're looking a little... puffed up more than usual."
You don’t respond right away, the puffed cheeks giving you a slightly childish but endearing look.
“Since I don’t have any urgent appointments for the next few days,” He puts his stethoscope down onto a drawer, and closes it just as he’s about to finish his next sentence. “How about I treat you to dinner tonight? You mentioned that we haven’t had a date in a while.”
Like a cat whose ears perk up at the sound of canned food opening, your ears perk as well, with your cheeks slowly deflating to comment something.
“...You’ll be paying, then?”
“Of course,” Zayne then slowly takes off his white lab coat and hangs it on a rack. “That way you won’t cry about being poor for the rest of the month.”
“You–”
~~~~~~
Driving to the restaurant, the turn signal to make a right turn is on, its faint ticking echoing inside the car. Zayne looks over at the lady who is ignoring him in the passenger seat at some point in time.
As the car moves, her head slowly sways to the vehicle’s steady rhythm.
The lady remains silent. The traffic light outside changes from green to red.
He waits a moment, his hand clenching onto the steering wheel, and when the light is green again, he turns to glance at her profile.
Even with her face turned, he could see that her cheeks were puffed like a fugu fish.
Your silliness is contagious, as always.
Slowly, the car stops in a parking lot, and you still remain silent in your seat, without noticing the sound of the seat belt unbuckling from his seat.
You then feel a soft, yet cold tap land on the back of your neck, where the ends of your short hair is.
“Zayne, you–”
As soon as you turn around, you find his hazel green eyes locking into you, his eyes full of mirth. Despite his cold exterior and his evol being able to create snow out of thin air and manipulate ice, to you, his eyes were the softest brown infused with green, as if he held the new spring growth inside.
They were the flower floor where jasmines are planted, somewhere to rest and breathe for someone.
“You didn’t think I’d really notice such a huge change from your appearance, love?”
“Then,” You turn your head, feeling your face warm. “Do you like it?”
“It’s a shame that I won’t be able to feel my hands being tangled by your long hair while we sleep,” Zayne pats your head, feeling how soft and smooth it is. “But still, I love it. You look more refreshing and energetic. Sorry that I didn’t say anything sooner, but I…”
That’s when you notice that Zayne’s ears were a hue of pink.
“Was a little taken aback by this new sight of you.”
“Hmph!” Your voice diverts to a playful tone, wanting to tease him even further. “It’s nice to know that you feel a little guilty for not noticing my hair sooner.”
“Don’t you have a grudge list?” Zayne’s lips subtly curls upward. “Write this one down and I’ll think of a way to compensate you after I commit enough offences.”
“I believe that deceiving me into eating that piece of sour orange was a serious offence in and of itself.”
“And your silliness and pettiness is what caused my office to smell like oranges for the rest of the month.” Zayne retorts, and he already unbuckles your seat belt. He then walks out of the car, and proceeds to open your side of the door.
“You deserve it. All of it!”
“Then,” Zayne reaches a hand out towards you with such gentlemanly manners. “Allow me to compensate you for tonight’s meal.”
Demon Bride Ch35 When In Rome- Or A Demon Dimension
(Warnings!!: Mentioning of death, illnesses, suicide, killing and abandonment in Akaza's backstory. ALSO DB Akaza's backstory is changed slightly to fit the au surroundings more.)
Tumblr media
"You're really sure you can walk by yourself? You fainted for a few minutes." A blue tipped hand gently held your head, concern in those golden blue eyes. "Are you sure you don't need a doctor? Or want me to carry you? Or some water-"
"Akaza. I'm perfectly fine now. As long as you don't push me into your chest again."
"Is that it? Did I accidentally smother you making you lose air?! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I forget my own strength sometimes."
"You didn't squeeze the air out of me so calm down.. Although you might've smothered me a bit."
You had thankfully survived your 'death by abs' encounter Akaza gave you you, although it did take you a few minutes to recover but now you were here standing with the last remains of red fading away from your face as you dusted yourself off and took a giant breath before turning back to the one green eyed demon who never stopped smiling in that spoiled-suck up smug 'i think I'm better than you' way. His old features made him look much older than Akaza but not as old as Mr. Hantengu. He looked to be maybe in his late forties if you had to go by human years. He bowed to you again never losing that greesy smile.
"I don't believe I had a chance to introduce myself."
"No." You shook your head no. "You haven't. Who are you?"
A proud hand pressed against his chest. "I am Kakski. The head caretaker and supervisor of the Kizuki Dwell and the man who makes sure every inch of this magnificent place is run smoothly. And just let me say that it is so lovely to finally have a proper resident to care for again." He sighed in tired form. "So far our only occupant has been Mr. Hantengu but it can be rather difficult to deal with him."
You gained a surprise look. "Mr. Hantengu is here?"
"He was brought here by Lord Muzan's orders to live out the rest of his days in comfort retirement," Akaza explained making you look at him. "Only the Twelve Kizuki and their immediate family are allowed to stay here. Since there's no one to take care of him at home anymore with all his sons busy, the Master thought it was best to move the old man here for better care." His eyes narrowed. "That being said, I Hope you've been treating your elders with the proper respect."
Kakski made an audible gulp smiling nervously at the frowning Lord before him. "O-O-Of course we have. N-N-Nothing but the best for our Lords' families!"
"I should hope so. I'd hate to see what would happen if his sons or the Master found out any of the former Kizuki weren't getting the proper respect they deserved. Hmm. In fact, while I'm here I might as well see Hantengu and congratulate him on his retirement."
"N-N-Now?! Ah! I mean of course!" He bowed deeply to Akaza. "I would be delighted to escort you inside. P-Please follow me."
You blinked at Kakski turning to gesture you all inside and only started walking after Akaza went in and disappeared through the door with Rui shimmying I'm behind him. You slowly followed inside and paused. Your eyes widened. Your head shook and you blinked again at what you saw.
Oh my gods...
If Kyogai's mansion was classy and if the sanctuary at the Entertainment District was fancy then this layout beat both of them out of the running by being ABSOLUTELY HIGH CLASS ROYALTY. Everywhere your teeny eyes looked it was like they had been dipped in liquid gold and saw only a king's luxury of a home here. Tall halls polished so much it left literal long reflections of you in every wooden surface. Paintings so big they were at least three humans long and one human tall depicting the most beautiful scenes captured expertly in paint. Random furniture made of the darkest wood carved with patterns into every inch of it. Vases made of procelyn infused with jewelers. Chandeliers of pure gold. Rugs handwoven by weavers with such skill you thought they were paintings laying on the perfectly polished floors.  Your jaw dropped and eyes nearly popped out of your skull at at least ten men and women stood on each side of the hallway before bowing in perfect sink with smiles plastered on all their faces. But what shocked you the most was how beautifully dressed they all were.
The women (with all different demonic features ranging from horns to wings and everything in-between) were all dressed up in beautifully patterned silk kimonos in every bright color of the rainbow, and hair and make up done up in the skill of an Oiran. The men weren't as dolled up as the ladies but they all looked fairly strong, fit, and all wore matching silk black robes so smooth not even a wrinkle was present.
''Welcome Lord and Lady," they all spoke at once in that bow and big smiles.
You were astonished to say the least before you slowly looked back to Kakski and noticed a yellow skinned old woman of similar age stood next to him in matching clothing but still filled up like the other women. "Who are these people? Are they related to the Kizuki too?"
Kakski laughed making you frown. "Oh my Lady. You have such a sense of humor. Of course they don't live here. These fine young men and women are just a small handful of the servants who will serve you here."
Your eyes widened looking between this old couple and the other demons. "These people are servants?! ALL OF THEM?!"
"Of course! But only a handful of our staff is here. There's many others who're busy working right now."
"What exactly do these people do?" Apply make up? Gospel? Oh don't say they were all concubines of some kind!
"Oh the usual. Cook, clean, serve whomever stays here, some even clean the pools of water and feed the koi-"
"They cook and clean while dressed beautifully as if they were attending a ball?"
Kakski paused for a moment before a grateful look passed over him and he pressed a hand to his chest. "You think our staff is beautiful?! Why that's such an honor to hear from the first Lady we've had here in three thousand years!" His one eye closed in pride. "Yes. Our staff takes pride in how EVERYTHING looks perfect here. The floors, the pools, and even including ourselves. Nothing but the best FOR the best. Our looks should match our work."
"But isn't that a little unorthodox? Working in such fancy attire?"
"But of course. All of our staff are from noble family lines, it's a great honor to be able to work here so close to the Kizuki." He proudly held up a hand. "Not only that but they are all highly educated in reading, writing, maths, and human culture! So they should have no problem interacting with you."
What were you? Some kind of alien?! You supposed he meant that as some kind of comfort but it came off as more of a brag. "Who's the woman next to you?"
"This lovely woman is my beautiful wife Yoko~," Kakski purred and just stared in a loving way at the woman next to him, "She's the head maid you know.~ And gets lovelier every single day I bask in her presence.~ My daughter takes after her you know.~"
"Kakski, stop. You're embarrassing the both of us," she chided with a small push to the man's chest but she didn't stop smiling. "You're wasting their time on your rambling as well."
"Forgive me. I couldn't help but introduce them to the most beautiful woman since our first Queen.~" You didn't know whether to feel happy that this skeezy demon had at least one good thing to say about him or feel annoyed at the whole situation. "But you are right. I'm getting too distracted. I'll happily escort Lord Akaza to Former Lord Hantengu's dwelling. In the meantime I'm sure my wife would be happy to show Lady Y/n here to her room." He then bowed. "If you would please follow us."
You glanced in question at Akaza who just nodded back. "Go ahead. I'll be back to check on you in a little while."
With nothing else to do right now you'd follow this Yoko person and see what was in store for you.
"Follow me, My Lady," the older woman spoke with a bow. Her tone was less greasy but it still held that suck up element to it which made you frown as she turned and began stepping down the corridor and with a final look at Akaza you followed.
Rui followed behind toddling along with his arms full of the knick knacks you dropped. It felt very strange to you walking past the rows of men and women that still smiled at you. The strange arrangement of this place was so baffling to you and you just stepped in here. They had noblemen and women as servants to other noblemen and women. It was so strange to you but you supposed this was more of that cultural difference between humans and demons. You only began to see more royal like halls littering  ever direction you took and it ...
You turned your nose up at all of it.
What was the literal point of all of this? The fancy things that sparkled and shined were only just that, things to be looked at and admired. It held no real value unless you sold it and made money for use. What was wrong with just a small house in the country side, maybe a small garden, with just maybe a few animals to keep you company. Maybe you'd even settle down and have a small family of your own once you're done traveling and seeing everything you wanted too see. Of course you'd have to figure out what to do about this entire demon fiance situation.... You'd ask to talk with that Muzan guy and his wife. If you spoke to him about your feelings he'd have to call the whole thing off, and with his wife there he wouldn't be able to get around the topic.
...Hmm. You wondered how exactly you could call off all of these engagements? You could probably return these 'gifts' back to everyone and tell them no but there was a few problems with that plan. The first being that even IF you told them you didn't want to be married or courted that might not stop them from trying anyways. You remembered when you were very blunt and honest with Kaigaku and he still insisted on making you wear the magatama charm as a courting gift and still refused to let you go easily. On top of that both Kyogai and Akaza gave you gifts too despite agreeing to not wanting to court you either. Perhaps if you just spoke to Muzan's wife? She seemed like a very sensible person . You were sure she'd be able to straighten things out. The question was how were you going to get her attention?
"Oof!" You bumped right into Yoko when she stopped and Rui bumped right behind you blinking.
She only smiled at you. "We're here, Lady Y/n." She gestured to the shiny polished sliding door. "Won't you please come in? We've been preparing it for days hearing about your arrival days ago."
"Oh, swell," you mumbled deadpanned.
Still Yoko smiled at you grabbing the door. "Don't worry. We've ensured that the room was nothing but comfortable with you in mind. Come." With that she slid the door right open.
You stared. Rui stared peeking around your legs. Yoko smiled proudly at herself.
.....What the hell was THIS?!
You face dropped as the first thing you saw was a giant vanity complete with a giant mirror and stacked with make up and at least eight different perfume bottles. Instantly you felt yourself groan and cringing at just the memory of that stuff caking your face. Next to that was an extremely lacy pink colored futon and surrounding the room around those two things were just..well...Hmm. What was the best way to describe all this??
Overly exaggeratedly girly.
Seriously?! How could one room have ten vases of flowers, such frilly decor, and enough bright colors to outshine a rainbow?! You could only stare at it before furrowing your brow and you couldn't help but think that this room would be better fitted for someone like Mitsuri or that Oiran you saw.
".....You must have the wrong room. There's no way THIS is mine."
"Oh but believe me it is!," Yoko insisted walking inside, "I understand you must not be used to such things. Here you have everything a young lady of your status could ever need! The bathroom is just through that door there." She gestured to a door on the opposite side of the wall. "Ooh. And here we have my favorite part of any ladies room." She excited cooed before just walking over to another door and pulling it back to reveal clothing. LOTS OF CLOTHING. So much it looked like it would spill out of the closet at any moment. "We didn't know your exact size so we just gathered various things but there's so much for you to chose from. So many gorgeous shoes and dresses to chose from."
You stared. War flashbacks of being squeezed into too tight shoes so tight they literally hurt when you even stood and forced into so many layers of clothing you felt like you were inside a volcano and make up so sticky that your face felt like it was clay clung onto your face and your hair pinned up so tight it hurt your scalp passed through your mind.  And your eyes widened.
"So what do you think? It's absolutely delightful isn't it?"
"........I need a major change in rooms. NOW."
And that's how you were taken to a much LESS eyesore of a room and was fitted with still fancy but less of a nightmarish eyesore. It was about as fancy as the room you stayed in at the red light district  but that was ok. Currently you were quite content with the room which just so happened to have a connecting room for Rui to have his own space. Although right now he chose to lean against your back sitting down and reading a book in his hands.
"I don't understand. I've never seen a woman who turned down every luxury she could ever want so fast." You paid no mind to the demon staring unbelieving at you. "Denying yourself of so much."
"I prefer simple clothes like the one I'm wearing right now. Not to say I don't appreciate all your hard work, but I just prefer things my own style," you explained calmly. The small pile of 'gifts' right beside you. You'd even taken off the sash and necklaces tied around you added to the pile. "Also I don't need or even want servants to dress me up in the morning. Im more than capable of doing that myself."
"But-"
"No butts. Butts are for sitting on." You sent a frown her way. "Do you even know how disturbing it is to sleep and then wake up to a total stranger in your room? Furthermore do you know how much creepier it is for that stranger to try to bath you and dress you up like you're a doll?" You gave a shudder. "Im a grown woman and I can take care of those things myself." Rui tapped you on the back and you gave him a look as well. "..And I didn't want anyone invading Rui's privacy as well. He can look after himself mostly and I'm going to be right here if he needs anything else."
Yoko slapped a hand to her cheek. "You don't want ANY servants?"
"Well.... I'll still need someone to clean our rooms and bring us food but that's all we'll need you all to do." You waved a hand at her. "If I need anything else I'll ask someone for it."
Yoko looked about ready to faint but was stopped when loud footsteps approached the open door and a moment later a large figure appeared. "You've only been here for a few hours and already you're causing such a stir up." Yoko jumped and everyone turned to Akaza standing in the doorway looking amused. "The servants are already in shock at your refusal of so many gifts."
"Akaza!" "Father!"
Rui was first to respond to the tall demon by standing up and running up to the grinning man, grabbing at and tugging his pants leg. "I have an entire room to myself. We can share the space so Mother can have her own courters."
It made Akaza chuckle and pat his head. "That's nice of you to offer but I can't stay for long. I'll have to go take care of some of Kokushibo's duties since he'll be extra busy. That'll be all you can leave us now." Yoko only nodded before walking away.
"How's Mr. Hantengu?"
Akaza nodded. "He's doing just fine. They're treating him well enough, although he keeps asking for his children. *sigh* What a mess everything is. It'll take a while to clean everything up."
"Is it that bad?"
"No. Worse." He counted on his fingers. "There's the rebuilding of the Tsuzumi Mansion, AND we have to clear out all the trees in the Yokai Forest that was destroyed in the fight between those assholes and Kaigaku. And then once all the dead trees ARE cleared we have to replant new ones to replace the damaged ones. Then there's the matter of the responsibilities."
"What responsibilities?"
He groaned allowing his shoulders to drop. "Kokushibo will be too busy with everything else for his regular duties, so until he's able to finish it, I'll be responsible for all of the things he'd usually do. Which means I won't be around to help you for a long while."
Your face dropped at this and so did Rui's. "What? That's not fair!"
He shrugged. "It's the way of the Kizuki, but that's not the reason why I'm here. May I come in and talk to you?" Oh right. Akaza wouldn't come into any women's room without direct permission. That's why he still stood outside the doorway. So you nodded and he stepped in, tail sliding the door behind him. "Thank you. I understand if this is very sudden. B-But I wanted to make my intentions clear." You only watched as he kneeled to sit on his knees in front of you. Rui patted along, looked over Akaza.... before sitting in the same position Akaza did. He noticed the pile of 'gifts' right next to him, plucking out the pink beaded anklet of his he gifted you as a necklace. "I see you've seen my gift.  ...What do you think of it?"
You blinked glancing at his legs to notice the missing anklet from his right leg. "...I think it's very beautiful and very nice of you to give to me, but I thought we agreed that I didn't really ask you to marry me and it was all a misunderstanding.''
"We did agree on that, and I know you really didn't ask me to marry you at all."
"Then why did you give me your anklet? Was it just to make the others back away?"
"Well...I did do that as a way to protect Rui and yourself, but there's another reason for it." You jumped  and your eyes widened as his hand gently grabbed one of yours and a sheen of pink spread across his face. "The second reason is because....I-I love you, Y/n. I love you, and I've never felt this way since Koyuki."
"Koyuki?" What was 'Koyuki'? Was that a name? Who's name was that? "Who's Koyuki?"
"She is my ex fiance." Your eyes widened and blinked surprised at him. "There's no need to worry. She's....been deceased for quite some time now." Golden blue eyes looked towards the side and his ears dropped at the mention of her and the increased squeeze of your hand had you knowing he tensed up some. "... That's..what I wanted you to know."
"Akaza...I'm so sorry." Your hand squeezed his back and you leaned your head to the right to try to look at his face but that only resulted in him squeezing his eyes shut. "What happened?' He was eerily quiet and didn't move to which you grew more concerned. Perhaps it was too touchy a subject. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. You don't have to tell me anything."
He still remained quiet but slowly spoke. "If...I tell you-" he still didn't look up or open his eyes, but gave a shaky exhale that shook his entire body. "... I'll have to reveal a part of myself to you that would scare you away...and...I don't want to lose someone else important to me."
"I can handle it,  and I promise I won't judge you for anything, Akaza. I always keep my promises but that choice is completely up to you. I won't force you to tell me anything unless you want to."
He still remained silent and just sat there for a moment. "....I wasn't meant to be a demon."
You blinked. "What?"
"I wasn't meant to be human. My mother was demon, but my father...was a human." He finally opened his eyes and looked at your confused eyes. "Heh..Of course you would be confused. Let me explain. Demons and humans are never meant to have children together. Whenever they do have a child together it always results in human children. Only one percent of those children are actually born demon....I guess I'm a part of that percent."
Well you were surprised by that biology lesson. Did Akaza feel guilty about being born the way he was?
"My mother passed away long before I could even walk as an infant," he continued making you jump back to  him, "But...I don't really remember my father taking care of me." His brows furrowed in a way that made him look like he tried to remember something that wasn't there. "For as long as I could remember it had always been me taking care of him. ...Maybe that's why I can't remember any childhood."
"Was he very old?"
He jolted blinking at what you said. "Huh? Oh..N-No. It was actually the opposite of that. He was...always very sick. I couldn't always afford the medicine he desperately needed. Too many people and not enough money to go around... That's how I got myself in so much trouble. In order to get any medicine for him I had resorted myself to stealing. Which ... wasn't a good idea in hindsight." A free hand rubbed his neck ashamed. "A demon child stealing didn't really help with my reputation of looking monstrous...I must've shamed my father so much thinking back on it."
"Oh, Akaza. I don't think he would've. I can't say that what you did was a good thing, but it was the only way you could get what your father needed. I don't think any father would be ashamed of their son trying to help him."
"Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know... Maybe it was too much stress for him. Maybe he couldn't take being sick anymore. Maybe I did shame him too much. But, for whatever reason, he took his own life." You leaned back a bit wide eyed as Akaza once again looked down at his lap guiltily. "I'm... ashamed of what I became after that. You see..If they didn't think I was monster before,  they sure did after. In my rage and grief my stupid younger self picked many fights, I nearly killed many people, it was only when Koyuki's father stopped me did my senseless rage end."
Rui felt himself getting tired and his eyes closing. It's been a long day for him and it was getting harder and harder for him to stay awake.
"Is that...how you met her?"
He slowly nodded before giving a sad chuckle. "It's really funny now looking back on that moment. I must've looked absolutely scary to everyone being a demon and fighting everyone left and right. Then this cheery man comes along all smiles and takes me down in under ten minutes. I'd give anything to see my younger me's dumb face in that moment. He's... actually the one who took me in and gave me a job, and a home, and what purpose I could have. And..." You watched him immediately blush and look away embarrassed. "Gods...I wished you could've met her. She was so .. beautiful. She was the kindest, softest woman I've ever met. She didn't even seem to mind my appearance...AH!! STUPID!!" He slapped himself making you blink and Rui sit up again blinking sleepily. "Here I am wanting to court you and I speak of another woman! How shameful of me."
You blinked...then you giggled at his obvious blushing face making him flush a deeper pink. "Not at all. I think you're really cute when you talk about your family. I really like Koyuki already." You smiled wider. "She sounds like such a beautiful woman. No wonder you fell in love with her."
Your words only turned the deeper pink to a shade of red before he swallowed and frowned again. "Yes...From there he trained me as his own and, for a while, life was...better. Not perfect but better. You see...Koyuki much like my father was very sick for most of her life, but I never once complained. She was worth the effort I soon found out. I had everything a man could want. It was actually Koyuki's father who had the idea of engaging us and passing on his dojo to me once he retired.....I never should've left them alone."
That grim look of his was back and your smile slowly faded. "...Akaza?"
"...They were poisoned. Murdered." His free hand cracked the bones inside as a fist formed and veins popped up all along his arms. A hiss escaped his throat as his his fangs grit together. "I HATE them. I still hate every single one of them. They took them both away from me."
"Them? Them who?"
"A rival dojo at the time. They were the ones who poisoned the water supply. T-That's how they took her from me." The grip tightened up as he tensed up more. The chest rising up and down faster with slightly heavier breaths. "Everything I ever had...all of it was just...gone."  Don't cry don't cry don't cry. "And I killed them. One by one. They dropped like flies. All of them. I made them suffer for everything they did. If the innocent couldn't have life then neither could they. I killed them!....I-I....killed them..." Fluffy pink lashes welding up with tears looked at your stunned face. "....I killed them...Y/n... I'm a murderer and I..I don't think I could hide that from you." His chest heaved. A small little figure snored happily away pressed into his soft side. It's his fault that the kid was here. "...It's my fault. All of it..and it's my fault he's here. It's my fault he's fatherless." A free hand reached up to cover his eyes. "I killed him."
"Who?"
He choked. "Rui's Father. Im responsible for his death." A sob finally choked from his throat. "I-....I have nothing to say that would make that fact ok."
Purple eyes widened. "Akaza."
"I know..I shouldn't cry-"
"What? No!" He was surprised by the strength that freed your hand from his but .ore shocked at the hands that grabbed his cheeks. You had to stand in order to look him in the eyes with a stern look. "You should be able to cry. You went through so much heartbreak and got so much stress built up on your shoulders already. Who wouldn't cry if they lost so many people you loved? I would be concerned if you didn't cry."
Shiny tears clung to that pretty pale skin as he stared at you. Fluffy eyelashes almost losing  their fluffiness from the water. "I'm a..man... we're not supposed to-"
"Bullshit! Crying doesn't make you less of a man. People cry for all kinds of reasons. Some people get so stressed out or frustrated they cry. Some people cry because they're so scared they can't help it. Others cry in anger or when they get something in their eyes. Some people can cry crocodile tears even." He nearly sobbed as a thumb wiped away one tear coming from his eyes. "But a lot of times... People cry when they're sad or heartbroken. And why shouldn't they? It's healthy and good to cry every so often. For men and women. And you know what...I like you when you cry." He blinked as another hand wiped as his cheek. "I like you when you smile too. Or when you get angry. Or flustered. Or when you're sad. Showing so much makes you so strong. So don't be afraid to cry, especially for someone you loved to much. I would NEVER think of you as anything less than who you really are for that." You made to clarify firmly. "I love that about you. I love you for you. So go ahead and cry."
At first he didn't react...just sat there on his knees looking up at you for a moment before his lips quivered and eyes crinkled up. Leaning forward, the Upper Moon Three pushed his face into the green cloth of a kimono, two arms wrapped around the torso of the woman in front of him. And the muffled sobs of the demon echoed throughout the room from Akaza's heaving lungs. Two smaller hands soothed the crying running  along his hair and upper back. It could be a small gesture but to him..it meant so much. Slowly minute after minute passed and slowly, slowly things calmed down. The heaving stopped. The sobs stopped. The tears even stopped. But the grip on her like a lifeline remained. Until the head looked back up as two soft hands placed themselves back on those cheeks.
"Y/n.."
A face closed in. Purple eyes widened in shock. And a small seal of love was proven. And a promise was mumbled from his  kiss.
"I promise you I will protect you. I will be the best father I can be for Rui." Golden blue eyes narrowed. His hug increasing slightly. "And I promise you...I don't plan on losing more people I love so easily.''
Seeing you’re doing matchups! Mind if I slid in?
Trigun (any of them) and Demon Slayer if you don’t mind! You can chose what you’d like headcannons or what of it! Honestly it’s been a while since I’ve seen someone doing match ups! Have a great day/night!!
I’m 5’5”, 23 years old w/ Green eyes I’ve got light brunette hair to the top of my shoulder blades (Needs cut so bad lol). I’m a nice laid back type of person who can take some shit but has no issue handing it right back, also typically blunt & to the point I don’t like sugar coating things. I’m usually seen in a black tank top w/ a black leather jacket, blue jeans & steel toe boots w/ aviator sunglasses. I love napping, I’m not great with kids but have no issue playing with them. All for bad puns, I’m good with my hands, Sarcastic, witty, I don’t mind play flirting; in fact you flirt with me I’ll come back 2x harder. I’m knowing for being a daredevil! I’m very competitive & fun loving. Highly independent always ready to protect/fight (get called guard dog a lot 😅). I love Space, gaming, animals, music, & plants namely pothos I’ve got 6 of them!
I'm so glad you came to my askbox!! Yes yes yes lets get you some matches!!!
For Trigun Stampede I for SURE see you with that version of Wolfwood! He acts flirty and like he's a top, and then just melts when you flirt back. He loves your style, and totally will get you matching sunglasses. He very much enters Protecc Mode whenever he sees you doing stupid shit, like riding a Thompson backwards with a blindfold. he sees you and Vash doing the dumbest shit together and regrets all life choices he has ever made, but mainly introducing you two.
For Trigun Maximum? Oh my lord is it Livio. He just fawns over you and is a big teddy bear! He loves all your comebacks, sometimes he writes down the really good ones so he can read them when he's away. More than once he has had to choke down laughter because all he can think about is what you would say to Knives or the doctor if you heard them speak. Zazie finds this very amusing. Livio also goes into protect mode when he sees you doing dumb stuff, and he just scoops you up to stop you from doing whatever it is. He's also a big fan of holding you.
Trigun 98? Milly 100%. Big gf small gf dynamic. Encourages you to do stupid stuff because she will absolutely do it with you. Meryl is constantly having to bail Milly out because she had to bail you out and somehow you both got kidnapped in the process? Milly also loves your style, and really gets into more cottagecore looks because of you! She likes it when people are surprised you two are together, because then she goes "I know right? I never thought I was into girls!! :)". You were totally her formal queer awakening. She loves showing you how to use her gun too!!
Demon Slayer? I'd say Shinobu!! You both are very short and everyone underestimates you constantly. Shinobu would definitely encourage you to do dumb shit, and then tease you if you got hurt/ embarrassed yourself. Since you're a plant nut, you start figuring out what attracts her favorite types of butterflies to the estate, and start propagating those. The two of you raise bees together and discover that honey harvested from wisteria pollen and nectar can help heal wounds from blood demon arts. If you were a slayer, you'd have your own breath style called Nature breathing, like a mix of Flower, Beast, and Insect breathing. You and Shinobu are like, that meme of the smug cat but two of them. You convince her to find an alternate route to killing Douma, and learn you can train the bees to sting demons ;). She loves being the little spoon! She also finds your style odd, but eventually gifts you a pothos-leaf haori for you to wear.
I hope you like!!!!
(Warnings!!: Mentioning of death, illnesses, suicide, killing and abandonment in Akaza's backstory. ALSO DB Akaza's backstory is changed slightly to fit the au surroundings more.
Also genuine question. When I write the ending should Y/n adopt Zohakuten as well?)
"You're really sure you can walk by yourself? You fainted for a few minutes." A blue tipped hand gently held your head, concern in those golden blue eyes. "Are you sure you don't need a doctor? Or want me to carry you? Or some water-"
"Akaza. I'm perfectly fine now. As long as you don't push me into your chest again."
"Is that it? Did I accidentally smother you making you lose air?! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I forget my own strength sometimes."
"You didn't squeeze the air out of me so calm down.. Although you might've smothered me a bit."
You had thankfully survived your 'death by abs' encounter Akaza gave you you, although it did take you a few minutes to recover but now you were here standing with the last remains of red fading away from your face as you dusted yourself off and took a giant breath before turning back to the one green eyed demon who never stopped smiling in that spoiled-suck up smug 'i think I'm better than you' way. His old features made him look much older than Akaza but not as old as Mr. Hantengu. He looked to be maybe in his late forties if you had to go by human years. He bowed to you again never losing that greesy smile.
"I don't believe I had a chance to introduce myself."
"No." You shook your head no. "You haven't. Who are you?"
A proud hand pressed against his chest. "I am Kakski. The head caretaker and supervisor of the Kizuki Dwell and the man who makes sure every inch of this magnificent place is run smoothly. And just let me say that it is so lovely to finally have a proper resident to care for again." He sighed in tired form. "So far our only occupant has been Mr. Hantengu but it can be rather difficult to deal with him."
You gained a surprise look. "Mr. Hantengu is here?"
"He was brought here by Lord Muzan's orders to live out the rest of his days in comfort retirement," Akaza explained making you look at him. "Only the Twelve Kizuki and their immediate family are allowed to stay here. Since there's no one to take care of him at home anymore with all his sons busy, the Master thought it was best to move the old man here for better care." His eyes narrowed. "That being said, I Hope you've been treating your elders with the proper respect."
Kakski made an audible gulp smiling nervously at the frowning Lord before him. "O-O-Of course we have. N-N-Nothing but the best for our Lords' families!"
"I should hope so. I'd hate to see what would happen if his sons or the Master found out any of the former Kizuki weren't getting the proper respect they deserved. Hmm. In fact, while I'm here I might as well see Hantengu and congratulate him on his retirement."
"N-N-Now?! Ah! I mean of course!" He bowed deeply to Akaza. "I would be delighted to escort you inside. P-Please follow me."
You blinked at Kakski turning to gesture you all inside and only started walking after Akaza went in and disappeared through the door with Rui shimmying I'm behind him. You slowly followed inside and paused. Your eyes widened. Your head shook and you blinked again at what you saw.
Oh my gods...
If Kyogai's mansion was classy and if the sanctuary at the Entertainment District was fancy then this layout beat both of them out of the running by being ABSOLUTELY HIGH CLASS ROYALTY. Everywhere your teeny eyes looked it was like they had been dipped in liquid gold and saw only a king's luxury of a home here. Tall halls polished so much it left literal long reflections of you in every wooden surface. Paintings so big they were at least three humans long and one human tall depicting the most beautiful scenes captured expertly in paint. Random furniture made of the darkest wood carved with patterns into every inch of it. Vases made of procelyn infused with jewelers. Chandeliers of pure gold. Rugs handwoven by weavers with such skill you thought they were paintings laying on the perfectly polished floors.  Your jaw dropped and eyes nearly popped out of your skull at at least ten men and women stood on each side of the hallway before bowing in perfect sink with smiles plastered on all their faces. But what shocked you the most was how beautifully dressed they all were.
The women (with all different demonic features ranging from horns to wings and everything in-between) were all dressed up in beautifully patterned silk kimonos in every bright color of the rainbow, and hair and make up done up in the skill of an Oiran. The men weren't as dolled up as the ladies but they all looked fairly strong, fit, and all wore matching silk black robes so smooth not even a wrinkle was present.
''Welcome Lord and Lady," they all spoke at once in that bow and big smiles.
You were astonished to say the least before you slowly looked back to Kakski and noticed a yellow skinned old woman of similar age stood next to him in matching clothing but still filled up like the other women. "Who are these people? Are they related to the Kizuki too?"
Kakski laughed making you frown. "Oh my Lady. You have such a sense of humor. Of course they don't live here. These fine young men and women are just a small handful of the servants who will serve you here."
Your eyes widened looking between this old couple and the other demons. "These people are servants?! ALL OF THEM?!"
"Of course! But only a handful of our staff is here. There's many others who're busy working right now."
"What exactly do these people do?" Apply make up? Gospel? Oh don't say they were all concubines of some kind!
"Oh the usual. Cook, clean, serve whomever stays here, some even clean the pools of water and feed the koi-"
"They cook and clean while dressed beautifully as if they were attending a ball?"
Kakski paused for a moment before a grateful look passed over him and he pressed a hand to his chest. "You think our staff is beautiful?! Why that's such an honor to hear from the first Lady we've had here in three thousand years!" His one eye closed in pride. "Yes. Our staff takes pride in how EVERYTHING looks perfect here. The floors, the pools, and even including ourselves. Nothing but the best FOR the best. Our looks should match our work."
"But isn't that a little unorthodox? Working in such fancy attire?"
"But of course. All of our staff are from noble family lines, it's a great honor to be able to work here so close to the Kizuki." He proudly held up a hand. "Not only that but they are all highly educated in reading, writing, maths, and human culture! So they should have no problem interacting with you."
What were you? Some kind of alien?! You supposed he meant that as some kind of comfort but it came off as more of a brag. "Who's the woman next to you?"
"This lovely woman is my beautiful wife Yoko~," Kakski purred and just stared in a loving way at the woman next to him, "She's the head maid you know.~ And gets lovelier every single day I bask in her presence.~ My daughter takes after her you know.~"
"Kakski, stop. You're embarrassing the both of us," she chided with a small push to the man's chest but she didn't stop smiling. "You're wasting their time on your rambling as well."
"Forgive me. I couldn't help but introduce them to the most beautiful woman since our first Queen.~" You didn't know whether to feel happy that this skeezy demon had at least one good thing to say about him or feel annoyed at the whole situation. "But you are right. I'm getting too distracted. I'll happily escort Lord Akaza to Former Lord Hantengu's dwelling. In the meantime I'm sure my wife would be happy to show Lady Y/n here to her room." He then bowed. "If you would please follow us."
You glanced in question at Akaza who just nodded back. "Go ahead. I'll be back to check on you in a little while."
With nothing else to do right now you'd follow this Yoko person and see what was in store for you.
"Follow me, My Lady," the older woman spoke with a bow. Her tone was less greasy but it still held that suck up element to it which made you frown as she turned and began stepping down the corridor and with a final look at Akaza you followed.
Rui followed behind toddling along with his arms full of the knick knacks you dropped. It felt very strange to you walking past the rows of men and women that still smiled at you. The strange arrangement of this place was so baffling to you and you just stepped in here. They had noblemen and women as servants to other noblemen and women. It was so strange to you but you supposed this was more of that cultural difference between humans and demons. You only began to see more royal like halls littering  ever direction you took and it ...
You turned your nose up at all of it.
What was the literal point of all of this? The fancy things that sparkled and shined were only just that, things to be looked at and admired. It held no real value unless you sold it and made money for use. What was wrong with just a small house in the country side, maybe a small garden, with just maybe a few animals to keep you company. Maybe you'd even settle down and have a small family of your own once you're done traveling and seeing everything you wanted too see. Of course you'd have to figure out what to do about this entire demon fiance situation.... You'd ask to talk with that Muzan guy and his wife. If you spoke to him about your feelings he'd have to call the whole thing off, and with his wife there he wouldn't be able to get around the topic.
...Hmm. You wondered how exactly you could call off all of these engagements? You could probably return these 'gifts' back to everyone and tell them no but there was a few problems with that plan. The first being that even IF you told them you didn't want to be married or courted that might not stop them from trying anyways. You remembered when you were very blunt and honest with Kaigaku and he still insisted on making you wear the magatama charm as a courting gift and still refused to let you go easily. On top of that both Kyogai and Akaza gave you gifts too despite agreeing to not wanting to court you either. Perhaps if you just spoke to Muzan's wife? She seemed like a very sensible person . You were sure she'd be able to straighten things out. The question was how were you going to get her attention?
"Oof!" You bumped right into Yoko when she stopped and Rui bumped right behind you blinking.
She only smiled at you. "We're here, Lady Y/n." She gestured to the shiny polished sliding door. "Won't you please come in? We've been preparing it for days hearing about your arrival days ago."
"Oh, swell," you mumbled deadpanned.
Still Yoko smiled at you grabbing the door. "Don't worry. We've ensured that the room was nothing but comfortable with you in mind. Come." With that she slid the door right open.
You stared. Rui stared peeking around your legs. Yoko smiled proudly at herself.
.....What the hell was THIS?!
You face dropped as the first thing you saw was a giant vanity complete with a giant mirror and stacked with make up and at least eight different perfume bottles. Instantly you felt yourself groan and cringing at just the memory of that stuff caking your face. Next to that was an extremely lacy pink colored futon and surrounding the room around those two things were just..well...Hmm. What was the best way to describe all this??
Overly exaggeratedly girly.
Seriously?! How could one room have ten vases of flowers, such frilly decor, and enough bright colors to outshine a rainbow?! You could only stare at it before furrowing your brow and you couldn't help but think that this room would be better fitted for someone like Mitsuri or that Oiran you saw.
".....You must have the wrong room. There's no way THIS is mine."
"Oh but believe me it is!," Yoko insisted walking inside, "I understand you must not be used to such things. Here you have everything a young lady of your status could ever need! The bathroom is just through that door there." She gestured to a door on the opposite side of the wall. "Ooh. And here we have my favorite part of any ladies room." She excited cooed before just walking over to another door and pulling it back to reveal clothing. LOTS OF CLOTHING. So much it looked like it would spill out of the closet at any moment. "We didn't know your exact size so we just gathered various things but there's so much for you to chose from. So many gorgeous shoes and dresses to chose from."
You stared. War flashbacks of being squeezed into too tight shoes so tight they literally hurt when you even stood and forced into so many layers of clothing you felt like you were inside a volcano and make up so sticky that your face felt like it was clay clung onto your face and your hair pinned up so tight it hurt your scalp passed through your mind.  And your eyes widened.
"So what do you think? It's absolutely delightful isn't it?"
"........I need a major change in rooms. NOW."
And that's how you were taken to a much LESS eyesore of a room and was fitted with still fancy but less of a nightmarish eyesore. It was about as fancy as the room you stayed in at the red light district  but that was ok. Currently you were quite content with the room which just so happened to have a connecting room for Rui to have his own space. Although right now he chose to lean against your back sitting down and reading a book in his hands.
"I don't understand. I've never seen a woman who turned down every luxury she could ever want so fast." You paid no mind to the demon staring unbelieving at you. "Denying yourself of so much."
"I prefer simple clothes like the one I'm wearing right now. Not to say I don't appreciate all your hard work, but I just prefer things my own style," you explained calmly. The small pile of 'gifts' right beside you. You'd even taken off the sash and necklaces tied around you added to the pile. "Also I don't need or even want servants to dress me up in the morning. Im more than capable of doing that myself."
"But-"
"No butts. Butts are for sitting on." You sent a frown her way. "Do you even know how disturbing it is to sleep and then wake up to a total stranger in your room? Furthermore do you know how much creepier it is for that stranger to try to bath you and dress you up like you're a doll?" You gave a shudder. "Im a grown woman and I can take care of those things myself." Rui tapped you on the back and you gave him a look as well. "..And I didn't want anyone invading Rui's privacy as well. He can look after himself mostly and I'm going to be right here if he needs anything else."
Yoko slapped a hand to her cheek. "You don't want ANY servants?"
"Well.... I'll still need someone to clean our rooms and bring us food but that's all we'll need you all to do." You waved a hand at her. "If I need anything else I'll ask someone for it."
Yoko looked about ready to faint but was stopped when loud footsteps approached the open door and a moment later a large figure appeared. "You've only been here for a few hours and already you're causing such a stir up." Yoko jumped and everyone turned to Akaza standing in the doorway looking amused. "The servants are already in shock at your refusal of so many gifts."
"Akaza!" "Father!"
Rui was first to respond to the tall demon by standing up and running up to the grinning man, grabbing at and tugging his pants leg. "I have an entire room to myself. We can share the space so Mother can have her own courters."
It made Akaza chuckle and pat his head. "That's nice of you to offer but I can't stay for long. I'll have to go take care of some of Kokushibo's duties since he'll be extra busy. That'll be all you can leave us now." Yoko only nodded before walking away.
"How's Mr. Hantengu?"
Akaza nodded. "He's doing just fine. They're treating him well enough, although he keeps asking for his children. *sigh* What a mess everything is. It'll take a while to clean everything up."
"Is it that bad?"
"No. Worse." He counted on his fingers. "There's the rebuilding of the Tsuzumi Mansion, AND we have to clear out all the trees in the Yokai Forest that was destroyed in the fight between those assholes and Kaigaku. And then once all the dead trees ARE cleared we have to replant new ones to replace the damaged ones. Then there's the matter of the responsibilities."
"What responsibilities?"
He groaned allowing his shoulders to drop. "Kokushibo will be too busy with everything else for his regular duties, so until he's able to finish it, I'll be responsible for all of the things he'd usually do. Which means I won't be around to help you for a long while."
Your face dropped at this and so did Rui's. "What? That's not fair!"
He shrugged. "It's the way of the Kizuki, but that's not the reason why I'm here. May I come in and talk to you?" Oh right. Akaza wouldn't come into any women's room without direct permission. That's why he still stood outside the doorway. So you nodded and he stepped in, tail sliding the door behind him. "Thank you. I understand if this is very sudden. B-But I wanted to make my intentions clear." You only watched as he kneeled to sit on his knees in front of you. Rui patted along, looked over Akaza.... before sitting in the same position Akaza did. He noticed the pile of 'gifts' right next to him, plucking out the pink beaded anklet of his he gifted you as a necklace. "I see you've seen my gift.  ...What do you think of it?"
You blinked glancing at his legs to notice the missing anklet from his right leg. "...I think it's very beautiful and very nice of you to give to me, but I thought we agreed that I didn't really ask you to marry me and it was all a misunderstanding.''
"We did agree on that, and I know you really didn't ask me to marry you at all."
"Then why did you give me your anklet? Was it just to make the others back away?"
"Well...I did do that as a way to protect Rui and yourself, but there's another reason for it." You jumped  and your eyes widened as his hand gently grabbed one of yours and a sheen of pink spread across his face. "The second reason is because....I-I love you, Y/n. I love you, and I've never felt this way since Koyuki."
"Koyuki?" What was 'Koyuki'? Was that a name? Who's name was that? "Who's Koyuki?"
"She is my ex fiance." Your eyes widened and blinked surprised at him. "There's no need to worry. She's....been deceased for quite some time now." Golden blue eyes looked towards the side and his ears dropped at the mention of her and the increased squeeze of your hand had you knowing he tensed up some. "... That's..what I wanted you to know."
"Akaza...I'm so sorry." Your hand squeezed his back and you leaned your head to the right to try to look at his face but that only resulted in him squeezing his eyes shut. "What happened?' He was eerily quiet and didn't move to which you grew more concerned. Perhaps it was too touchy a subject. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked. You don't have to tell me anything."
He still remained quiet but slowly spoke. "If...I tell you-" he still didn't look up or open his eyes, but gave a shaky exhale that shook his entire body. "... I'll have to reveal a part of myself to you that would scare you away...and...I don't want to lose someone else important to me."
"I can handle it,  and I promise I won't judge you for anything, Akaza. I always keep my promises but that choice is completely up to you. I won't force you to tell me anything unless you want to."
He still remained silent and just sat there for a moment. "....I wasn't meant to be a demon."
You blinked. "What?"
"I wasn't meant to be human. My mother was demon, but my father...was a human." He finally opened his eyes and looked at your confused eyes. "Heh..Of course you would be confused. Let me explain. Demons and humans are never meant to have children together. Whenever they do have a child together it always results in human children. Only one percent of those children are actually born demon....I guess I'm a part of that percent."
Well you were surprised by that biology lesson. Did Akaza feel guilty about being born the way he was?
"My mother passed away long before I could even walk as an infant," he continued making you jump back to  him, "But...I don't really remember my father taking care of me." His brows furrowed in a way that made him look like he tried to remember something that wasn't there. "For as long as I could remember it had always been me taking care of him. ...Maybe that's why I can't remember any childhood."
"Was he very old?"
He jolted blinking at what you said. "Huh? Oh..N-No. It was actually the opposite of that. He was...always very sick. I couldn't always afford the medicine he desperately needed. Too many people and not enough money to go around... That's how I got myself in so much trouble. In order to get any medicine for him I had resorted myself to stealing. Which ... wasn't a good idea in hindsight." A free hand rubbed his neck ashamed. "A demon child stealing didn't really help with my reputation of looking monstrous...I must've shamed my father so much thinking back on it."
"Oh, Akaza. I don't think he would've. I can't say that what you did was a good thing, but it was the only way you could get what your father needed. I don't think any father would be ashamed of their son trying to help him."
"Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know... Maybe it was too much stress for him. Maybe he couldn't take being sick anymore. Maybe I did shame him too much. But, for whatever reason, he took his own life." You leaned back a bit wide eyed as Akaza once again looked down at his lap guiltily. "I'm... ashamed of what I became after that. You see..If they didn't think I was monster before,  they sure did after. In my rage and grief my stupid younger self picked many fights, I nearly killed many people, it was only when Koyuki's father stopped me did my senseless rage end."
Rui felt himself getting tired and his eyes closing. It's been a long day for him and it was getting harder and harder for him to stay awake.
"Is that...how you met her?"
He slowly nodded before giving a sad chuckle. "It's really funny now looking back on that moment. I must've looked absolutely scary to everyone being a demon and fighting everyone left and right. Then this cheery man comes along all smiles and takes me down in under ten minutes. I'd give anything to see my younger me's dumb face in that moment. He's... actually the one who took me in and gave me a job, and a home, and what purpose I could have. And..." You watched him immediately blush and look away embarrassed. "Gods...I wished you could've met her. She was so .. beautiful. She was the kindest, softest woman I've ever met. She didn't even seem to mind my appearance...AH!! STUPID!!" He slapped himself making you blink and Rui sit up again blinking sleepily. "Here I am wanting to court you and I speak of another woman! How shameful of me."
You blinked...then you giggled at his obvious blushing face making him flush a deeper pink. "Not at all. I think you're really cute when you talk about your family. I really like Koyuki already." You smiled wider. "She sounds like such a beautiful woman. No wonder you fell in love with her."
Your words only turned the deeper pink to a shade of red before he swallowed and frowned again. "Yes...From there he trained me as his own and, for a while, life was...better. Not perfect but better. You see...Koyuki much like my father was very sick for most of her life, but I never once complained. She was worth the effort I soon found out. I had everything a man could want. It was actually Koyuki's father who had the idea of engaging us and passing on his dojo to me once he retired.....I never should've left them alone."
That grim look of his was back and your smile slowly faded. "...Akaza?"
"...They were poisoned. Murdered." His free hand cracked the bones inside as a fist formed and veins popped up all along his arms. A hiss escaped his throat as his his fangs grit together. "I HATE them. I still hate every single one of them. They took them both away from me."
"Them? Them who?"
"A rival dojo at the time. They were the ones who poisoned the water supply. T-That's how they took her from me." The grip tightened up as he tensed up more. The chest rising up and down faster with slightly heavier breaths. "Everything I ever had...all of it was just...gone."  Don't cry don't cry don't cry. "And I killed them. One by one. They dropped like flies. All of them. I made them suffer for everything they did. If the innocent couldn't have life then neither could they. I killed them!....I-I....killed them..." Fluffy pink lashes welding up with tears looked at your stunned face. "....I killed them...Y/n... I'm a murderer and I..I don't think I could hide that from you." His chest heaved. A small little figure snored happily away pressed into his soft side. It's his fault that the kid was here. "...It's my fault. All of it..and it's my fault he's here. It's my fault he's fatherless." A free hand reached up to cover his eyes. "I killed him."
"Who?"
He choked. "Rui's Father. Im responsible for his death." A sob finally choked from his throat. "I-....I have nothing to say that would make that fact ok."
Purple eyes widened. "Akaza."
"I know..I shouldn't cry-"
"What? No!" He was surprised by the strength that freed your hand from his but .ore shocked at the hands that grabbed his cheeks. You had to stand in order to look him in the eyes with a stern look. "You should be able to cry. You went through so much heartbreak and got so much stress built up on your shoulders already. Who wouldn't cry if they lost so many people you loved? I would be concerned if you didn't cry."
Shiny tears clung to that pretty pale skin as he stared at you. Fluffy eyelashes almost losing  their fluffiness from the water. "I'm a..man... we're not supposed to-"
"Bullshit! Crying doesn't make you less of a man. People cry for all kinds of reasons. Some people get so stressed out or frustrated they cry. Some people cry because they're so scared they can't help it. Others cry in anger or when they get something in their eyes. Some people can cry crocodile tears even." He nearly sobbed as a thumb wiped away one tear coming from his eyes. "But a lot of times... People cry when they're sad or heartbroken. And why shouldn't they? It's healthy and good to cry every so often. For men and women. And you know what...I like you when you cry." He blinked as another hand wiped as his cheek. "I like you when you smile too. Or when you get angry. Or flustered. Or when you're sad. Showing so much makes you so strong. So don't be afraid to cry, especially for someone you loved to much. I would NEVER think of you as anything less than who you really are for that." You made to clarify firmly. "I love that about you. I love you for you. So go ahead and cry."
At first he didn't react...just sat there on his knees looking up at you for a moment before his lips quivered and eyes crinkled up. Leaning forward, the Upper Moon Three pushed his face into the green cloth of a kimono, two arms wrapped around the torso of the woman in front of him. And the muffled sobs of the demon echoed throughout the room from Akaza's heaving lungs. Two smaller hands soothed the crying running  along his hair and upper back. It could be a small gesture but to him..it meant so much. Slowly minute after minute passed and slowly, slowly things calmed down. The heaving stopped. The sobs stopped. The tears even stopped. But the grip on her like a lifeline remained. Until the head looked back up as two soft hands placed themselves back on those cheeks.
"Y/n.."
A face closed in. Purple eyes widened in shock. And a small seal of love was proven. And a promise was mumbled from his  kiss.
"I promise you I will protect you. I will be the best father I can be for Rui." Golden blue eyes narrowed. His hug increasing slightly. "And I promise you...I don't plan on losing more people I love so easily.''
I'd like to add that this is up there but oh my God the ones where the asshole makes you want to scream "How do you not see it!"
Those include:
The mother who harassed a teen girl at the mall under the assumption she stole her father's card (these two people don't know each other btw). She made a big spectacle and I shit you not added "My son is forbidden from using my card so I clearly know she stole it." The girl had to pay with her money because the cashier admitted if someone is accusing her and it turned out to be true the store could be in trouble (pretty much leaning to the fact this girl had her father's permission) and the girl left crying. Everyone in the store glared at the woman and this psycho's husband even said she was the asshole. She even wrote the post in a "guys tell my husband I'm write" type of fashion.
A girl said she was her sister to get out of a speeding ticket. All the sister did after that was admit that wasn't her. This got OP arrested and charged twice but her and her shitty family proceeded to ostracize the girl and acting like she can drop the charges and she's the bad guy because op was the first to go to college... If she's speeding like a lunatic and has been charged before that's her fault! Even her reason for not being on was spiteful and amounted to "My sister ruined my life!"
A guy cheated on a coding exam and I mean cheated. He paid someone to do the assignment in rust when it was C++ and the partner (a woman) did damn near all the work. Then he said he did the work which got her failing grade and the sexist professor refused to change her grade. Oh and he admitted in the comments unintentionally it wasn't a tutor he got and that even if it was those weren't allowed. Like why are you going to a coding class?!
A man and his hopefully ex girl went to a kpop concert. The boyfriend was a jackass and proceeded to shame her for listening to the bad brought up how she's too old to be a fan and mocked her in front of their friends who were equally disgusted by his reaction. He refused to apologize and she didn't bring him another concert... And he didn't know why.
There was one where a father shamed his daughter because her tampon fell out in the pool. Not only that though he proceeded to lock her in the room on the cruise and take away anything fun. Over an accident and yes he's the "just hold you period blood" guys (I hope it was fake though)
One where a mother punished her step daughter on vacation because the kid and her man child husband were competing and instead of this grown woman telling her husband to stop and teaching her daughter to not do dumb competitions, she punished the daughter. Oh and the replied implied she doesn't even like her daughter and sees her spoiled (she had limited custody btw)
A father basically left his daughter stranded on New Year's Eve because she broke some dumb rule. Like he hung up the phone and went to bed! The mother (he was divorced from her) got the girl and called the dude out and said the daughter would stay with her and this goober has the audacity to say that went against the custody agreement... You abandoned her!
A man found out his girlfriend wrote fanfiction and because of that ridiculed her and dismissed the doctorate she earned to the point his own family were calling him out.
Last one, a guy was in a cooking class and decided to bully and shame a woman in the class because she was a beginner. It was a beginner cooking class btw. The way he talked and acted was so smug to the point that the lady could've been revealed to burn the soup she was making but he was a bigger ass.
Oh and a lot of these where they're the asshole end with some variation of "They have a right to be mad... But I think they overreacted." Oh and double points if after the ruling they delete their whole account, get suspended or banned or double down not being the butthole in the comments.
Verdict: Sometimes it's okay to just admit you're an ass if you can't take the opinion of redditors!
This mom sounds so unpleasant to be around idk why her daughter even invited her in the first place
Chapter 21: Love is Love
B E N E D I C T - S T A P L E T O N
"Don't worry," the doctor started, when he saw Ashton and I looking at him with parted lips and wide eyes.
"There's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. Love is Love. Plus God wishes everyone to accept all who they differ from."
He smiled at the two of us.
"Can I check your wound now, Ashton?" he asked, adverting his attention so it remained solely on Ashton.
Ashton simply muttered a 'yep' under his breath before pulling his hospital gown up. I licked my bottom lip as Ashton raised his gown, his body bare as the doctor checked his wound. Charlie remained quiet as he checked on Ashton, Ashton's eyes eventually drifting to me. His eyes stuck to me like glue as I dumped myself back into the crappy plastic chair, his gaze only faltering when he blinked. I stared at Charlie and Ashton's actions, my eyes drifting from Charlie's hand touching Ashton's skin to Ashton's facial expression.
A blush coated my cheeks when I noticed he was staring at me, his eyes boring into mine until I couldn't take it anymore. He made my heart beat faster, so fast that I could feel it pounding against my chest, so I turned my head. I watched as Charlie examined Ashton's now healed wound, my eyes sometimes shifting to Ashton's expression when I didn't feel his eyes on me.
'Oh Moon Goddess,' Theo groaned when Ashton licked his lips when he noticed my eyes on him, his eyes back to gazing into mine as he wet his lips.
I let my eyes linger on my mate, trying not to blink so I didn't miss anything Ashton had to offer. My mate and I gawked at each other the rest of the appointment, both of us apparently trying not to look away or miss the way our mate's facial expressions even slightly changed but occasionally, for less than a minute, my eyes drifted to how Charlie and Ashton's skin was touching. It made me jealous for reasons even I couldn't explain, I just wanted the feeling to disappear.
"Okay, well, everything looks to be normal so you're free to leave," Charlie replied, looking between Ashton and myself, smiling happily at us both.
"Have a nice day and may God bless you both," he stated before turning around, my eyes following him so I could be sure when he was out of sight and could no longer hear us.
I didn't realize I was holding my breath until I released a puff of air from my mouth. I looked back over at Ashton after breathing in heavily, confused as to why he held such a smug expression. His hospital gown was now covering himself.
'Thank Goddess.'
"What?" I asked, standing from my spot on the uncomfortable chair I wished to burn after today.
"You're jealous. You're actually jealous. Oh. My. Goodness."
A grin was placed on his face as he swung his legs off the hospital bed, standing to his feet. I rolled my eyes playfully as he grinned at me, his facial expression absolutely 'adorable'.
"I'm not jealous."
I crossed my arms, a small smile creeping up on my face as Ashton continued to walk towards me in small steps.
"You sure? Are you positive that you aren't jealous of the doctor touching me, feeling my skin?"
'I'm not,' Theo piped up, growling lowly at the image Ashton was creating in my mind.
I could tell my eyes were glowing by the way Ashton was looking at me, his grin never faltering. I huffed before uncrossing my arms, letting my now free hands grip onto his shoulders before pushing his body back against the wall. A small gasp left his mouth as I pushed him against the cool wall, my head tilted down and his tilted up so we could look into each other's eyes.
"I'm not jealous," I growled out, enjoying the way his eyes flashed red when I pushed his body against the wall.
The color of his eyes wasn't as disgusting as I thought it would be, as it was when I first met him. For some reason, I've sorta come to like the bright red his eyes glowed.
"Okay," he replied simply as he raised his hand, tangling it in my hair.
A groan left my lips as he tangled his hand in my hair, gripping and pulling at the strands before pulling me down. Sparks flew through my body as our lips touched, the feeling immediately sending a wave of happiness throughout my body that I didn't think I would ever feel again. Our bodies were pressed together, his chest flush against mine and his figure fitting against mine perfectly. We kissed as if our lives depended on it, our lips pushing against each other's and our tongues tangling together.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to the sparks," I breathed, once we pulled back.
I heard a breathy laugh escape Ashton's lips once I pulled away from him, leaning against the wall next to him. We were still close together, our shoulders slightly touching so we could both feel the sparks we both craved. It remained silent for a few moments, both of us leaning against the cold wall to cool our heated bodies.
"Why did you become a rogue?" I asked, slightly scared of the answer he was sure to have held.
"I have been a rogue basically my whole life. I think I was about four when I officially became one," he answered, his smile slowly dying.
I heard him take a breath before continuing.
"My mom died while giving birth to me so I was raised by my dad. I don't really remember him but I still miss him sometimes. Anyway, it was late at night when a pack of rogues decided to start a war. They killed almost everyone and everyone who didn't immediately die, died from their injuries. My dad took me to the edge of the woods and forced me to shift early, I ran like hell because he told me he'd come find me but he never did."
"How do you not hate them?" I asked, leaning my head against the wall.
"Not all rogues are guilty. Plus, I can't really hate what I became. I would never be happy."
"Are you happy with what you are now?" I asked, staring in front of me so I didn't have to see his expression.
"It's hard being one of the most hated creatures out there but I don't hate myself," he replied softly, letting out a breath after.
"I just don't get why some people hate all rogues based on stereotypes. Some rogues aren't bad."
"I didn't used to hate all rogues. I only started to because they took the woman I loved from me."
The Morel of the Story pt 5 : Hericium Erinaceus
Chapter 5/?
Preparation.
“Doctor Isley. To what do I owe the pleasure of your attention?” he asked as the woman approached him. Though his hands continued moving, popping die cut parts out of their metal backing, he kept a wary eye out.
Pamela Isley was a very beautiful and interesting woman, but she was no longer fully human, and viewed most of humanity with contempt. She was not completely alien yet, but could be unpredictable, and she was well known for her low opinion of men. Why she would want to speak with him was an intriguing little mystery.
“I don't really want to talk to you at all, compost.” She said, her tone sharp. “I bring a message from someone who probably ought to know better, but I haven't been able to convince her otherwise yet.”
“Oh. Yes?”
“She says she thinks it's a pearl.”
He hopped up from his stool.
“Erosion? I knew she could get it! Where is she now, I'd like to congratulate her.”
“Sit back down, lover boy, she's not here right now.”
“lov-I'm not!” he protested, but did as she said.
Pamela rolled her eyes.
“Everybody knows riddles are how you flirt.”
“N-not always...” he protested again, though not as fiercely this time. He didn't think he'd been flirting...But he had asked her a riddle practically first thing. And it had been about a jewel. Did that count as flirting? Did Erosion think he'd been flirting with her?
Did she like it?
“I'm not saying you're right, but...where is she? If not here, I mean.”
“She hasn't told you?” now she was the one teasing him. He would take it though, in the quest for information.
“Our time together has been short.”
“Ah, well she's probably still in solitary. Our cells are close by, and we sometimes see each other in the halls.”
“Solitary?” he exclaimed. “Why?”
He could see why Poison Ivy would be relegated to such a fate, as she openly claimed to be the enemy of humankind, and sometimes acted on it. It would be dangerous to be her cellmate. But Erosion seemed so gentle...why on earth would she be there?
He'd been put into solitary once, quite a long time ago, and he'd made sure to never let it happen again. He was sure Erosion didn't deserve that; to be stuffed like a sardine into a tiny cement coffin of a cell, no room to move around, a minuscule sliver of window the only light. To be buried and forgotten.
“She hasn't told me.” Pamela was saying. “Just says it's probably safer that way. I think she has some kind of medical condition. The doctors are in there all the time.”
He fidgeted with rising worry. Doctors. Was something wrong with Erosion? Were they making something be wrong with Erosion? Doctors in maximum security prisons didn't have the most ethical of histories.
He noticed Pamela side-eyeing him, the ghost of a cruel smile tugging the corners of her mouth. He smashed his anxieties down as fast as he could. She was toying with him.
“Well, it's either that, or something to do with whatever her meta-powers are.” he said calmly.
“Oh? You don't know that either?” The mocking smile curved fully upward now. “And I thought you were supposed to know everything.”
“My life is a neverending quest for ever more information. What I don't know, I will know.” he said, holding on to his calm. “But has she told you?”
“Oh, not exactly. But I do know. Even these cursed collars can't hide the scent entirely. It's something I recognize, but is still a tiny bit alien to me.” She sighed. “In any case, I'm only talking to you because she asked me to deliver her answer to you if I saw you before she did. Can't imagine why it means anything to her.”
“I'm sure you can speculate to your heart's content.” he said, just a tiny bit smug. She might have intended to tease him, but she had revealed something to him nonetheless.
“I'm sure I have no reason to.” she sniffed, and stalked away. He went back to work on his die-cut cards.
Doctors. For what reason? Erosion did look unhealthy; with her pale, waxen skin, and her large, sunken eyes, and that shaggy green hair that did nothing for her complexion. Then again, Pamela Isley was downright green, and poisonous to the touch! It could be anything. Her health, her memory, her meta-powers, anything.
But she was clearly thinking of him, and that was very gratifying. He loved the attention, even if he wasn't there to actually witness it. It had been weeks since he'd asked her that riddle, and that she hadn't just given up, that she had been thinking about it enough to finally come up with the answer...
Yes, there probably wasn't much else to do in solitary, and it had taken quite a while for her to figure it out, but he was still pleased. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't hate people who weren't as intelligent as he was; he hated people who didn't try. People who just gave up, people who didn't care, arrogant, incurious, anti-intellectuals. People who thought they were an expert because they'd read a wikipedia article. People who thought that their ignorance was equal to his knowledge.
It wasn't. And they needed to know that.
That night, when he was sure Hartley was fast asleep, Edward retrieved the little twist of scrap metal he'd hidden in his gapped teeth, and went to work on his collar.
This was delicate work; the screws were not only tiny, but they were all different sizes. He would have to remember which one was which. The little capsule held several parts, the GPS, the anti-meta field projector, and the pacification function were the most important. The GPS was easiest to turn off, so he took care of that first. The anti-meta field generator he left alone. He had no meta-powers to suppress, and a hole in the prison's meta-suppression field would be noticed ages before the missing GPS would. Especially since he was no longer allowed outside the prison for community service. Sure, he wasn't a violence hazard, but the Riddler had ways of trying to escape. After the first few attempts got a little too close, he as confined to internal duties only.
The pacification function though...that was very tricky. The first time he'd escaped, he had also gotten his hands on his own deactivated collar, and had plenty of time to study it. Out of every tiny chip, every utility built into the impressively small device, the parts that made up the pacification function were the most complicated and sensitive. Everything had to be done in the correct order, and with the softest, steadiest hand imaginable. In the dark. Right next to his throat.
If his breath hitched at the wrong time, if he swallowed or coughed...
It took the better part of an hour of carefully loosening this and disconnecting that, and never, ever, twitching. But he had done it. He was free. He could walk out at any time.
But he would not. Not yet. He needed the right opportunity. One did not simply walk out of Belle Reve.
Well, he did. Once, at least, but that was still one more time than anyone else had. Still, he couldn't go yet. The Light would want things from him when he got out, and he needed to be prepared. Luckily for him, even though he had proved them all fools once, security still didn't pay that much attention to him.
The same ruse of weaponized awkwardness and perceived weakness worked against them every single time. Using the constant threat of violence that the bigger fellows like Brick represented as a psychological shield also worked wonders. Guards found it difficult to scrutinize Edward's behavior too closely when a much larger threat was always nearby.
Every single time. It was so amusing.
Edward left the pieces within the device so there would be no evidence of his tampering. The tiny piece of metal went down the sink, and Edward fought his excitement for sleep.
Tumblr media
Robin's lips curled up at Zack's little speech. "Well, well, well. I didn't know you were a moral support dummy." Her weird giggle filled the room when her eyes landed on a large hole in the wall behind Rachel's gravestone. She was about to point it out but Rachel had already walked towards it.
"Eh?" Both Robin and Zack stood either side of the small girl as she stared and stared into the hole without being able to see anything. "There's a weird hole here." He paused for a moment, looking at his body and then at the wall. "Well, I'm not gonna fit in there so I guess we're out of options."
"How about I go?" Her question through the killers off guard. Zack jumped towards her with an accusing glint in his eye.
"You're just saying that so you can bolt."
Rachel stepped closer to him. "I'm not going to run until you kill me." Zack looked towards Robin for help but she smiled a mocking grin at him and continued to play around with her flower arrangement, making it somewhat more full-looking.
"Damn, you've been giving me the creeps for a while. But enough about that. At any rate, we can't just sit here and do nothing. Go take care of it." Rachel started towards the hole when Zack called to her. "Oh! And if you die. Give me an 'I'm dead!' to let me know."
Rachel's emotionless face morphed to slight confusion. "But... I can't if I'm dead."
"Ugh, just shut up, and make yourself useful before you die." He shoved Rachel into the hole and began to pace around the graveyard.
"Tsk, tsk. Making the child do your dirty work. How rude of you." Robin's smug voice cut through the air like a knife through butter as she feigned an offended expression. She didn't care enough about the kid to feel bad about the idea of her wandering around on her own with a killer on the... three killers on the loose.
"Well, if ya love her so much why don't you go through the hole." his joyful but somehow monotone voice responded in stark contrast to hers. Robin looked down at her body, her chest, her thighs, her hips. There was no way she'd fit through that!
Zack noted her silence and watched her expression when he began to laugh. "Holy shit! Your tits are too big for ya to fit through that hole?!" His laughter brought tears to his eyes that eventually soaked part of his bandages.
Robin tried to remain serious but damn it, Zack's laugh was contagious. Eventually, they were both laughing their asses off in the middle of a graveyard whilst their lives were at stake. "EXCUSE ME FOR BEING SHAPELY."
She hit his head with a light tap as a small smile appeared on his lips. "Hey! No fair!"
"Is too."
"Is not."
"Is too.
Zack shoved Robin from her cross-legged position on the floor to completely on her side making him successfully win the argument. When her laughter finally fell silent he noticed her gaze back on the flowers at her grave. The colours suited her and her personality beautifully.
"Oi, Missy. If ya like them so much then why don't you just take one?" Robin's eyes flitted between the man and the flowers when she finally grabbed a small, fully bloomed white Camellia placing the light flower behind her ear.
"There." She grinned. When she turned back Zack was up on his feet, scythe in hand ready to whack his 'tombstone' into powder.
"You know that you'll break that thing, right?" She asked him, getting up and situating herself on top of her grave.
"That's the point, missy." She rolled her eyes at him.
"Sorry to piss in your cheerios. But I meant the Scythe, not the stone." Her response was greeted with the sound of rhythmic thwacks against his stone. She was about to stab him, poison him, or something. But then Rachel came back into the room, glancing at Zack questionably.
"Uh, what's going on?" She asked Zack
"This gravestone's been pissing me off! I wanna smash it to bits." The girl looked at his Scythe, then at the stone.
"Your weapon would probably give way first."
"THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL HIM!" Rachel jumped at the loudness and saw Robin perched on her gravestone, a book nestled into her lap and a pen in her hand.
"Robin, what are you doing?" Rachel walked up to the woman to see what book she had in her hands. Robin snapped the book shut quickly, a frown painting her lips.
"It's my journal. I was just quickly jotting down what was going on." Her frown turned upwards into a bashful smile as she put the book back in her bag. "Anyways, what did you find?" by this point Zack had tuned into the conversation.
"The passage leaned to a room that winds around to the right. There was a door there but it was locked, so I couldn't go any further. The door has no keyhole, so... I think there must be some kind of mechanism that opens it."
"You don't say." Rachel went to speak again but Zack cut her off. "Well, keep lookin'" Rachel nodded, moving towards the hole once more.
"Okay, but could you both look here, too?" Zack's head tilted to the right, pieces of hair fell into his face.
"Heh? Door mechanisms and I don't get along. Now go." He shoved her back once more. She went to go but she hesitated, it seemed to Robin that she saw something in there that she hasn't told them. "Huh, got something more to report?" His glare turned murderous as the small girl stood idly beneath him.
"Please. Don't destroy my grave."
Zack grumbled to himself profusely about Rachel being a punk. "I mean, how the fuck am I supposed to look for a damn lock mechanism." Zack slumped over his grave, moaning in annoyance.
"Well, the only thing here is graves. So maybe the mechanism is in one of those somewhere?" Robin replied with her opinion from the sidelines. Zack rolled his eyes at the woman, pushing himself off of his grave to look around.
"Yeah. No shit. Either way, I'm game. We'll just have to look around and take in the morbid sights." Robin actively raised her eyebrow at Zack and laughed. "I thought I told you that one of my few rules was NO BEING HAPPY. Do you even know what that means?!"
He yanked lightly on her ponytail, causing her to jerk out of her laughter, her face turning lighter. She quickly jumped away from him, her body closing in on itself as she tried to make herself smaller as if she was scared of him or more importantly, what he had done.
"Oi, Missy. Are you okay? You're looking a little pale." She shoved Zack backwards as she furiously fought away the tears brimming in her eyes. "What the hell."
Flashback
"Why can't you just be normal?!" her mother screamed at her, throwing anything in arms-length towards the small ten year old who was curled up in fear cuddling the little rabbit she had made friends with while out in the garden.
The rabbit was small and white, therefore earning the name 'white rabbit' from Robin. The rabbit had appeared shortly after her father's death, and her return home. She saw it as a sign that he was watching over her. But in times like this, she wasn't so sure.
"You know what. You aren't going to learn like this. [REDACTED]!" She called out as a slim, greasy-looking man walked into the room. He made Robin uncomfortable, and he made her touch him, and she didn't like that. She curled up further against the wall, holding on to the rabbit tighter.
"Hold her back." [REDACTED] took great pleasure in doing this; he restrained her arms back with one hand, and the rabbit jumped away from her. She cried; she wanted her rabbit back. But her mother quickly grabbed the rabbit by the scruff of its neck, gripping onto it as it made squeaks of protest. Robin was sure that the white rabbit didn't like her mother either.
"Make sure she sees this. I want her to know what happens when she refuses to take responsibility for her actions." [REDACTED] yanked the girl's hair back with his other hand, so she was forced to look at her mother and the rabbit.
The ageing woman lifted the rabbit to her eye level and looked between the small creature and the disappointment that was her daughter. "This is what happens when you disobey me." and with one, hard, heavy throw, she threw the rabbit across the room as it hit the wall next to Robin with a sickening crack.
"No! No! No! No!" She trashed in the man's arms, crying and screaming as the rabbit let out the most pathetic little whimper imaginable. Her mother walked up to her, gripping her cheeks painfully between her fingers.
"If I ever hear a single noise out of your mouth after this moment, that isn't 'yes ma'am.' I'll get [REDACTED] to bash your hideous face in until I never have to see it again. Now, get that dead thing out of my house. Am I clear?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Oi! Snap out of it!" Robin eventually came back to reality with tears streaking her cheeks. She looked around the room, shocked that she freaked out like that. She quickly wiped her tears away and looked up at the gobsmacked Zack.
She cleared her throat and grinned awkwardly. "Sorry, um. Memories." Zack rolled his eyes at the girl, but there was a distinct look in them that almost said. 'I understand.' Zack wandered around the room, looking at each grave before returning to his and staring at it.
"This grave is freaking annoying, and I want nothing more than to smash it to bits. But like that little shit said. I'd break my Scythe." Robin, seemingly back to being herself, slapped Zack over the head with mock annoyance in her eyes.
"I said that first!" The grin on her face showed that she didn't care though.
"Oh, is someone jealous?" Zack retorted as he looked for something to smash his grave with.
She knew he couldn't see it, but she rolled her eyes at him. "Yeah, in your dreams." Robin left the room, suddenly remembering something she had seen previously. She walked into the main hall, picking up the pickaxe that was on the floor and stepped back. "Here."
Zack looked at the pickaxe Robin dropped at his feet with a broad, maniacal grin. He lifted the pick over his head and slammed it down repeatedly against his grave. "Goddamnit, it just won't break!" five more hits later, and the tomb was practically reduced to ashes. "That's what I'm talking about!"
The giggle that shortly followed that Robin found weirdly endearing. He kicked the pulverised rocks around on the floor. "This damn rock giving me trouble! For such a shitty grave, you sure put up a tough fight!"
He was about to put the pick down when it looked like a lightbulb went off in his head. "I just realised something." He looked over at Robin with a grin, resting the pick on his shoulder.
"Yeah?"
"The rest of these graves are NOW FAIR GAME TOO!" He then proceeded to run around in what Robin liked to call 'bloodlust mode', smashing every stone in his sight when he came to the weird plinth in the middle of the room. "Is this even a grave? Oh, who cares!"
After he destroyed all the graves in the first room, except for Robins and Rachels, he ran out of there to the room Robin found the pick in. Wanting to see the rest of the anarchy, Robin followed Zack out of the room, watching him beat down all of the stones with, what seemed to be, practiced ease. Then he was done.
"Is that all of them?" He blinked once, then twice, then three times when a confused look crossed his face. "What was I doing again?" Robin decided against saying anything and waited for him to realise. "Oh yeah, the mechanism. I was so busy smashing that I wasn't keeping an eye out."
"Maybe you uncovered something in the other room?" Robin suggested as they walked back together. When they entered the room, they both noticed a glint shining through the debris of the third grave.
When they walked over to it, they realised it was, in fact, a switch. They stared at each other for a prolonged amount of time, honestly shocked that through Zack's violent tendencies they were able to find the switch Rachel was looking for.
Zack hit the switch as him, and Robin just stared at each other in complete silence when they both said the same thing.
"Holy shit."
─「エデン」─  the TRAILBLAZER felt like he had something else up his sleeve. there was just something in those brown eyes of his that was hidden deep within. she had a way to read him even without realizing it, but sometimes it's better to leave things up to the imagination. as is, he was already going all out in beating her score and putting himself in the lead due to how COMPETITIVE he was. just look at that smug grin he was sporting. well, if he looked that happy, she wouldn't mind letting him get a bit of a head start.
                only a head start, of course, she was competitive herself to ever give him a WIN so easily.
                " nope, doesn't count ! don't try to cheat, doctor. the system scoring is balance and fair. " she nodded, feigning seriousness when it comes to the scoring when both of them knew full well there weren't official RULES to it. the fact that both of them loved catching each other off-guard with a surprised kiss only added to the appeal of their little game. she quirked a brow at him. " what's that ? not nearly long enough to make up the difference ? is that a challenge, i hear ? oh, you're so on. "
                that little comeback ( or was it a warning ) regarding how he was going to bite back if she bit him caused her whole demeanor to shift momentarily. the time lord would witness the trailblazer exhibited traits that could be called wolf-like in that instant. when he leaned down for a peck on her cheek, she took that moment to pull him back down, a little nibble and a tug given to his lower lip accompanying a soft growl that sounded like partial purr. when she leaned back, a flash of her canine fangs followed by the GLEAM in those aureate orbs spoke of her counter attack. the way her tongue peeked out playfully from the corner of her lips. like a hungry wolf having got a taste of her favorite treat.
Tumblr media
                " the cheek didn't count. and i believe we're back to a draw, yes ? unless you're rewarding me with double points for a bite. " the grin she wore was cheeky, borderline smug, if one couldn't tell the hue of gold in her eyes was shimmering in delight already. as they neared the gingerbread cookies stall, she threw him a wink. " oh, that smells nice ~ do you think it'd taste better than what i just had, doctor ? "
Tumblr media
-> EVEN AFTER WHAT FELT LIKE CENTURIES, she never failed to captivate him in the most beautiful of ways. He's not unaware of how her ability to traverse paths left his history for her like an open book. He has shown her every DARK day he's ever had when the rage and the agony is impossible to dam any further than he already has. Still, he shook his head to rid himself of all the unwanted emotions that seemed to linger when he reminisced about the unusual ability they'd discovered, the man preferring to focus on the happiness they shared when together instead.
He can't help the cheeky little laugh from his lips as the drink swirls precariously in her hands from his rapid movements to steal kisses from her skin in all the best ways. He's enamoured in a way with the tender pink hues on her cheek, smiling to himself that he'd managed to leave her speechless once more. The gangly man leas back on the stool, that smug grin on his face as he traces the blush with his eyes, content in knowing that his little trick has served to stall her long enough that the perfect time had begun to approach for a beautiful gift.
Tumblr media
"Oh, come on! The cream definitely counts!" He's grinning despite the protests from his lips, catching the way her voice seemed to pitch just a little higher over his actions towards his beloved trailblazer. He's so eager to increase his score that the lone remaining time lord has gone on the offensive, disregarding his rules of no PDA to make up the point difference. "A long way? Bout two hours if you ask me, not nearly long enough to make up the difference." His arm snakes out to pull her close, leading once more towards his favourite treat.
"You say that like I wouldn't get you another one!" He would, and he has before, the last time they got caught up in one game or another, having to buy several drinks to make up for one going cold. "You know, if you bite me, I'm liable to bite back." There's visible humor in his hazel eyes, leaning down to peck her cheek while she was distracted by his fake threat with a rather loud hum. "Another point for me I believe, my dear Eden~" He's laying the compliments on thick now, hooking her arm with his and gracefully strolling towards their destination.
Could you do something along the lines of Mattsukawa introducing his very pregnant girlfriend to his friends and they are all shocked. They thought you were made up since they never met her (maybe she has a hectic work schedule and the timing just never happened).
You go out for drinks with them (obviously you aren't drinking) and they tell you so many embarassing stories about Mattsun and by the end of the night it's like you're one of gang, Mattsun feels happy knowing you and his friends get along well.
Omg bestie??? I love this, y’all are so smart you guys have just so many great ideas like what??😭tysm for requesting and sharing your idea!!! This is so great I’m gonna melt into a puddle rn🥰😭if anyone wants to see more or anything else let me know because I literally love requests so much!!
I did make reader work at the same funeral home as Mattsun because I’d assume that’s how they met when in college!
Tumblr media
Tw- cursing, drinking, pregnant reader, baby is refered to as being small(in comparission to a newborn when she’s still in the womb by Mattsun because I suck at coming up with funny things😞) let me know if I missed anything!!
Tumblr media
Whenever Matsukawa told any of his friends about you they’d exchange a look that said, “really? This again?” As much as he hated it their wasn’t much he could do to prove them wrong.
He showed them photos of you but they told him you had to be photoshopped in because no way in hell he’d been dating you since your freshman year of college and they still hadn’t met you.
“Guys, y/n’s pregnant…I’m gonna be a dad” he told them over drinks one night, you were fine with him going out at night since you’d have to cover night shifts for wakes sometimes and than other times paperwork would pile up from the director not doing their job. Other nights that you didn’t manage wakes, Mattsun did, for a long time, the only time you two saw eachother was at work and it sucked ass.
Though now that you’re on maternity leave, you’re finally able to spend time with your fiancé and meet his friends!
So of course when Issei brought up the idea of going to a bar and grill with his friends you were on board, “just to be clear you cannot drink” he repeats and you raise a brow.
“Clearly not Issei” you place your hands on your baby bump, you were nearing eight months pregnant and hadn’t thought of touching a lick of alcohol since you’d found out you were pregnant.
Of course when he walked in with you wrapped around his arm very clear belly on display he could hear Oikawa, Iwaizumi and Hanamaki chattered in disbelief.
He’s got a smug smile on his face as he helps you take off your sweater and purse before sitting down.
“I told you she was real!” Oikawa mutters slapping Iwaizumi’s shoulder lightly.
After introductions go around Maki is the first to ask, “so he’s like really gonna be a dad?”
You giggle softly and they can all see why Issei fell for you, “yea, feels like we’re gonna have her any day now” isseis eyes widen in worry.
“We still have two more months?”
“An expression baby” you smile sweetly and he lets out a sigh of relief.
Issei was telling the truth and from what it seems? He’d found the perfect person to balance him out.
After a few drinks and a few cups of water for you, Issei is excusing himself to the bathroom.
“Oh my god, y/n! While he’s gone let me tell you!” Tooru is a little tipsy, you can tell by the way a light pink dusts his cheek and every now and than he has to pause and lean his head against Iwa’s shoulder to catch himself.
“One time in highschool, Mattsun he” you listen to the way Oikawa wheezes before he can even finish the story.
This went on for the whole ten minutes that your fiancĂŠ was on the bathroom alternating between Tooru and Maki while Hajime their designated driver lets out occasionally snorts or adds onto their drunk retelling of events.
“Last week we went to the doctors,”you giggle a little at the memory before hearing the chair scrape against the floor.
Issei had been watching the four of you chat for a bit and he was glad you were getting along, ecstatic even, but he really didn’t need you to tell the guys that every time he went for an appointment with you he’d asked if the baby was full sized yet only to find out that she was still not the size of a newborn baby instead of just googling the size of a baby at certain gestations, in his defense he had no clue that’s how it worked.
Tumblr media
Some of the boys don't like the dentist and then some are okay. But the ones that don't, usually go to Talia to take them to the dentist since she is good a reassuring people and making them feel safe. So some dentist even know Talia's name even though she is not the patient. The people she usually takes is, Jisung, Chenle, and Mark and sometimes Jeno in Nct. While outside she takes I.N and Felix, and sometimes Hyunjin from Straykids when Chan can't or when they ask her too.
So she would usually say yes, and cancel her practice or recording for later to take them. But once for some reason three of them go on the same day?
Tumblr media
"Noona"
Talia turned to the voice to see Jisung in front of her.
"Yeah?"
"Can you take me to the dentist tomorrow?" He asked shyly, embarrassed he is asking.
"Aren't you to old for me to take you?" She teased, he grown flustered.
"Im kidding I'm kidding, I'll take you. What time?"
"1 pm." He smiled happily, knowing his Noona will still take care of him.
"Thank youu."
"Your welcome." She smiled and messed up his hair.
She continued on with her day finishing some stuff up then got a text message.
BabyFox🦊:Noona?
Tali: Yeah?
BabyFox🦊: Can you take me to the doctors?
Tali: Ah depends which day?
BabyFox🦊: Tomorrow
Tali: What time?
BabyFox🦊: 1:20pm
Tali: Ah sorry baby no Im busy.
BabyFox🦊: oh its okay I can ask Chan.
Tali: We can go out to eat later though if you like?
BabyFox🦊: Yes please.
Tali: Alright at 3?
BabyFox🦊: 3 is fine, see you Noona
Tali: see you
Tali smiled down at her phone, happy that she gets to spend time with both her maknaes. But is sad she can't be there for Jeongin (I.N).
She got to her the dreamies dorm and went to her room since most of them were already in there rooms preparing to go to sleep. She went in and saw Mark laying there, looking like he is contemplating his life.
"Hey Mark." She said as he jumped at her voice, not noticing she entered the room.
"Hey, you scared me I thought you wouldn't be back for another hour." He said putting his hand on his chest. She shook her head at him and showed him the time on her phone, his eyes grown wide as he saw the time was already an hour past since she last texted him.
"It's been an hour and how long have you been here?" Asking him putting down her stuff and getting ready to do her routine.
"Apparently and hour." Her eyes looked at him with utter confusion.
"Why would you wait for me in my room?" Wondering why would he wait instead of visiting her in her studio.
"Well, I wanted to spend time with you and also your room is really cozy." He said chuckling, Talia shook her head.
"Well, I'm going to change and are you gonna sleep over?" Asking him while she gets her clothes.
"Yeah, can I sleep with you...that sounded wrong...can I sleep..next to you...that sounded okay, how about lik-"
"Yes yes you can." Talia giggled interrupting him.
"Theres some clothes of yours in that drawer it should be in a section called Mark." She pointed at a small dresser.
"You have sections for different members?." He chuckled grabbing the clothes
"Yes, yes I do.."
"Thanks Flower." He smiled at her.
"You're Welcome." She said walking in her bathroom and changing. She finished and knocked on the door.
"You still changing??"
"No you can come back."
She came in with Mark now under the covers, she smiled at him since he seemed so adorable. She turned off the light and went under the covers with him, he clinged on to her immediately. She giggled but she knew Mark wasn't just there to spend time with her, he had to have a question.
"So, why are you really here?" She questioned him.
"Can't I spend time with my favorite person." He said in a offended tone.
"Oh don't let Yuta or Chenle hear that." She giggled.
"No but really why are you here, I literally have dance practice with you at 10am which is....6 hours away..wait why we sleeping so early?" She said while checking her phone. He huffed and tighten his grip on her and layed his head on her shoulder.
"Are you free at 1?" He said softly.
"Sorry, no baby I'm busy 1-4 pm, why?" She said softly massaging his scalp slowly trying to make him fall asleep.
"Oh nothing, I just wanted you to help me with something, but I can do it." He said slowly dozing off.
"Ah okay, night Mark."
"Night Flower."
It was the next day, they got up and had breakfast and Mark was sulking the whole time until they got to dance practice.
"Why is Mark sulking?" Jungwoo whispered to Talia curious on why the younger boy was sulking
"I think its because I can't help him with something because I'm busy." Jungwoo's face went :0 in realization. She shook her head and they continued practice. Tali went back to the dreamies dorm and went to shower and pick up Jisung.
She knocked on the recording studio door, and Haechan open the door giving her a bright smile with a hug.
"BUB you came to visit me?" He said dragging her in the studio while hugging her, sitting down and her now on his lap now back hugging her. She chuckled at him.
"No, sorry I came to pick up Jisung." She smiled at him apologetically. Haechan's smile turned into a pout on his face.
"Ah don't do that to me, you know I care about you." She said now pouting as well. Haechan smiled at her.
"But do you loveee me?" He said in a teasing smile tightening his hold on her, she was caught off guard that was when Jisung came through the door.
"Oh noona you're here?" He said surprised, she nodded and quickly got off of Haechan successfully.
"Ay, where are you going?" He said now trying to reach out to her.
"Sorry hyung, noona is coming with me, let's go." Jisung said smiling at Talia and grabbing her hand and running out the studio.
"HEY!" Haechan yelled, laughing alittle at the antic, but inside he was alittle sad that Talia didn't say I love you to him, but he just needs to be a little bit more patient to hear those words again. He sat back down.
"Hm, maybe next time Bub."
Meanwhile Jisung and Talia now got in the car and giggling. She shook her head at him. They got to their destination and walked in, she could tell he was nervous.
"Hey its okay, sit down while I sign you in okay?" She said holding his hand and rubbing it to reassure him. He nodded at went to sit down and she went to the front desk, the lady smiled at her recognizing her from other visits.
"Hi again."
"Hi." Talia smiled at her.
"Ah, so which member did you bring today?" She said looking around and spotting Jisung.
"Jisung, the youngest." Tali smiled writing down Jisung's name.
"Oh I thought you were gonna bring the older boy, I think his name was Mark?" Talia looked at her funny.
"What do you mean?" She questioned.
"Well, Im not allowed to say, but you do bring him every time he has an appointment. So he is supposed to have a check up at 1...15." She finished, Talia mouth was open and like she had called for him the door open to see Mark in a mask and hat now making eye contact with Jisung. Jisung and him both looked surprised.
"I didn't know you were gonna be here?" He said now standing infront of Jisung.
"Me either."
"Who are you with?" Mark questioned, Jisung turned his head to the front desk, then Mark did and made eye contact with Talia she slowly waved him giving him an awkward smile.
"Hi." She said shyly. She sat down the pencil and walking up to him.
"IS THIS WHY YOU COULDN'T GO WITH ME, IS BECAUSE OF JISUNG?" He raised his voice a little bit to loud. She winced at the loudness.
"Sorry, I didn't know, I thought you meant music NOT THE DENTIST." She said.
"Noona?"
Talia turned around and saw I.N standing infront of her while Chan was signing him in. She stood there in disbelief.
"I thought you were busy?" He said now confused.
"Uh, I am, I was taking Jisung to the dentist." She said slowly, and blinking her eyes a lot, tryin to processes whats happening. I.N eyes go big on her.
"IS THIS WHY, NOONA THE BETRAYAL, YOU PICK HIM OVER ME??" He said a little to loud like Mark, she winced at the volume. Chan quickly came over and put his hand over I.N's mouth.
"Shhh, so you make me deal with this?" He looked at her, directing his eyes to I.N she smiled at him apologetically. She heard a person clear their throat behind them to see Mark looking at her.
"So you chose, the youngest over US." He said moving his hand to I.N and him.
"Well, he asked first..." Mark looked him in disbelief.
"I told you I was going to the dentist." Looking at Jisung for an explanation.
"Well, you didn't say you were gonna ask Noona to take you, either way aren't you to old for Noona to take you and also aren't you older than her?" He said now questioning Mark attacking him with questions. Mark was now caught off guard not expecting the youngest response.
"Aren't you too old too?" Mark retaliated. Jisung just shook his head.
"Im still a minor I have an exuse."
"Well-"
"Mr. Park can you please come in?" A nurse interrupted the bickering. Jisung nodded and grabbing Talia's hand in the process and walking away while the other 2 boys glared and Chan was falling asleep.
Tali shook her head at Jisung.
"What's with you." She said smiling at him holding his hand to distract him from his nervousness.
"I just feel special thats all." He said with a smug smile on his face.
"And why is that?" She said raising her eyebrow at him.
"Because you chose me."
"How ticklish are you?" suggested by @ljandersen
pairing: Kaidan Alenko x Kori Reese (my OC); set during ME1; 2115 words
The Normandy was once again docked at a port for resupply. Only this time it wasn't some backwater planet. This time it was a popular tourist spot established by human private investors. With a limited Alliance presence, Avalon was the perfect haven for some less than reputable people. But at the moment it was a location for the SR1 crew’s shore leave.
Shore leave that Doctor Chakwas insisted the crew needed to take. A 24 hour layover at Avalon fit the bill with little to no argument from Shepard much to Kaidan’s surprise. Of course that left 24 hours of free time for the crew to get into mischief. He had a feeling Kori might be one of those who ended up on report if she wasn't properly entertained. But she wouldn't appreciate a keeper. Maybe she'd be okay with someone who was more than friends.
There wasn't exactly a label for what they were. Their relationship wasn't something they wanted to advertise. It wasn't even something that should have occurred. Fraternization regs. His own personal rules. Reese’s tendencies to be exceedingly private because of her past. All of that was supposed to work against them. Somehow it hadn't.
After something finagling the two lieutenants had managed to sneak off to enjoy a day of shore leave without any other crew members present. Applying his habit of being thorough in his duties to researching the Avalon colony, Kaidan had discovered a little used beach some ways from the spaceport. Convincing Reece to trust him, they rented a skycar and headed to the beach. Slightly cooler temperature wise than the more popular beaches near the spaceport, it reminded him of the ones he visited near Vancouver on Earth in his youth.
Of course the first thing Reese had commented on was the temperature. How much cooler it was then at the spaceport, and he knew she hated being cold. He grinned at her as he casually took off his blue Alliance hoodie.
“Want to borrow this?” He offered nonchalantly. He'd worn it over his T-shirt having been prepared for the temperature. He suggested she take one as well, but Reese did as she wanted.
The younger Lieutenant glared at him as she snatched the hoodie from his hand and put it on. “You did this on purpose.”
“Me?” He said innocently, pointing at himself. “I suggested that you should bring one.”
“You didn't tell me why,” she accused as she pulled the too-long sleeves of the borrowed hoodie up to her elbows.
“You're a smart person. I thought you could figure it out,” Kaidan replied with a smirk as he began walking down the beach away from the skycar.
“Ass,” Reese grumbled as he stopped to glance back at her
Extending a hand behind him he said, “Don't be that way, Kori. I thought this could be …something just for us.”
“Just for us?” She echoed as she walked up to him, staring at his offered hand.
“Well yeah,” Alenko replied shyly. “I mean with everything else we've …done, I thought some time together off the ship would be nice …kind of like a date.”
“A date?” She repeated uncertainly.
Kaden nodded. “Maybe we aren't there yet but –“
“We shagged like rabbits in the back of the Mako, Kaidan,” Reese pointed out smugly.
Alenko arched an eyebrow as a satisfied grin spread across his face. “We did, didn't we?”
“Really? You are going to be smug –“
She was cut off when he took her hand and pulled her to his side. “Can we please just take a walk along this beach which reminds me at home and pretend we …could be a normal couple?”
His whiskey-colored eyes pleaded with her to indulge him this one time. He was well aware Reese thought he was a romantic at heart, a sentiment shared by Ashley. He had already gone way over the line concerning keeping things strictly professional with Reese anyhow. Walking down a remote beach acting as if they weren't on a life-or-death mission for a few hours wouldn’t do much more damage if anyone found out. At least it was more explainable than the Mako.
“I --we can do that,” Reese agreed as she slowly slid an arm around his waist.
Kaidan grinned as he mimicked her action with his arm around her shoulders. They walked in silence for a few minutes, listening to the waves gently crash against the shore. The sun shone brightly overhead as a cloud or two moved in front of it occasionally. It was comforting to just spend time with someone he cared about without any expectations. It was nice to be somewhere that reminded him of home. It was just nice to be with Reese.
“This beach reminds you of home?” The younger tech’s voice called up to him. Alenko glanced down to see grey eyes looking back at him with a curious expression.
“Well yeah. Even the temperature. Vancouver is along the coast, remember? My parents have some land in the countryside,” he explained. “We used to go whenever we could, not just in the to swim. Sometimes just to take a walk.”
“A beach is supposed to be warm,” Reese insisted.
“And how would you know?”
“Just 'cause I was a colony kid doesn't mean I've never been to a beach,” she answered indignantly. “Moirae was like Georgia. One of the reasons my parents chose it for colonization and terraforming …Georgia has beaches too.”
“That doesn't mean you've been to a beach. That's just show that you know what one is,” Kaidan observed with a teasing grin.
“Alenko –“
He kissed her quickly. “I'm teasing, Kori.”
She huffed as she said, “My grandma used to talk take us swimming during the summer. Trying to help me feel normal while learning how to cope with my biotics.”
“That's cool,” Alenko commented, using 20th century slang that both annoyed and endeared him to her more.
“Actually it was hot,” Reese said with a wink.
Kaidan chuckled as he hugged her to his side. “And that is why you hate being cold and why you have a stash of blankets in your bunk I suppose.”
“Do not mock the stash of blankets,” Reese said seriously. “They have kept me from climbing into your bunk. You're warm.”
Alenko shook his head. “I should thank the blanket stash for keeping us out of trouble then. As nice as it might be to go to sleep with you in my arms. “
“Are you getting all mushy on me, Alenko?”
“Maybe just a little. No one else is around so …”
Reese shook her head as they continued to walk down the deserted beach. “I haven't walked a beach in quite a while.”
Kaidan grinned, glad that his idea had been a good one. “Did you ever just take walks along the beach on Moirae?”
The Lieutenant regretted the question as soon as the words left his mouth. He stopped in his tracks and looked at her. “Kori, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to –“
“You probably don't know but colony kids have dances in high school. Just like you Earthborn kids do,” Reese interjected, ignoring his attempt to apologize. She went on as she gazed out at the ocean. “Granted my high school wasn't that big but we managed to still have dances. Our junior prom was supposed to be on the beach. Everyone was excited. It was going to be my first formal. I even had a dress picked out. No date of course but a few of us girls were just gonna go together in a group.
Kaidan watched as she paused, a wistful look on her face. She rarely talked about Moirae. She was more apt to talk about her time in Georgia but to be truthful she didn't often talk about her past at all. He probably knew more than anyone else on the SR-1 but even that was a smattering of whatever she let slip when her guard was down.
“The short version is that it didn't happen, and I never got to attend a formal dance,” the tech concluded with a shrug of the shoulders.
She began to walk again but was stopped by Kaidan’s hand on her arm. “You don't have to act like it isn't a big deal.”
“But that's just it. Missing a prom isn't a big deal. It was just a stupid dance.”
“Maybe but it was more to you. It was something you were looking forward to, something I think you were actually excited about,” Kaidan said as he brought her back to him. “I know the destruction of your colony took away your family and your home, but it also took away experiences that you could have had. Things you should have had. You can't get the exact experience back but maybe when this mission is over we can try to make up for that in some small way.”
“You mean arrange for me to go to prom?”
“Well no, not exactly, but definitely something requiring formal attire. A dress.”
She arched an eyebrow. “Now you just want to see me in a dress.”
“I’ve seen you in less,” he pointed out as he placed his hands on her hips.
As he absentmindedly made lazy circles with his thumbs, she huffed. “So that is where your mind is, techboy.”
“I think I’m allowed,” he replied as he noticed her beginning to fidget. Frowning he asked, “Something wrong?”
She shook her head. “Nope.”
Not convinced he stopped his ministrations and watched her fidgeting cease. An idea began to form as a wicked grin spread across his face. He lightly caressed her hips again but this time working his way up the side of her ribcage. She wiggled and began giggling.
“Alenko! Stop!”
As she backed away, he stared at hie wide eyed. “Kori, how ticklish are you?”
“That is need to know information and you, Lt. Alenko, don’t need to know,” she replied holding her hands up in front of her as a makeshift barrier.
“Oh, but I think I do need to know, Lt. Reese,” he countered as he began walking towards her with purpose.
“Aw, hell no!” she yelled as she began running from him.
He laughed as the tech began sprinting back towards the skycar. He gave pursuit, sorely tempted to use his biotics to halt her retreat. But that would be cheating, and Reese would definitely not like that. In the end he settled for catching up with her and tackling her.
She let out a shriek as they fell unceremoniously to the sandy ground. Kaidan gave a roar of laughter as he declared, “Got ‘cha!”
With Reese already struggling to escape, he immediately began to tickle her again, determined to discover just how ticklish she was. Her laughter was music to his ears as they rolled along the beach. He’d only rarely heard her giggle let alone laugh as if nothing could stop her. As she twisted and turned underneath him, he discovered to his delight she was very ticklish nearly everywhere.
The wheels in Alenko’s head began turning as he stopped tickling her. That weakness was definitely something he could exploit later. Grey eyes looked at him as tears of laughter slide down her cheeks. He leaned down and kissed her sweetly.
As she hummed her contentment Kaidan murmured against her lips. “Take shore leave with me after this mission.”
Reese pulled back just a bit as she said, “You’re serious?”
Kaidan nodded even though he was surprised as she was that he had uttered the words to begin with. She blinked and cupped his cheek. “You’re serious enough about us you’d want to see more of me after this mission…oryou just want to tickle me some more?”
Alenko grinned. “Maybe it’s both. And maybe I can find more places where you are ticklish…Ones I need to remove certain articles of clothing to discover…”
“Are you coming onto me, Alenko?”
Kaidan smirked. “I thought I was already on you, Reese.”
The tech rolled her eyes as he leaned down and kissed her again. “Will you?”
Reese made an amused sound before asking, “If I say yes, are you going to stop kissing me?”
“No.”
“Then yes.”
Kaidan grinned as he kept his word and continued kissing the Lt. Happy to have something to look forward to and happy that thing involved Reese. Happy to know she looked forward to it as well. As the waves crashed around them, he was once again reminded of home and how Kori now felt like that to him. And that he would never regret it. Ever.
