anyway i think i might be depressed. well, when am i not- ok. i think i am going thru a Bad Moment that has nothing to do w my period this time, contrary to what i believed for the last couple weeks. and like, i know that i am a sad person. and this winter hasn't been as rough as the last one so, good for me! it's just, the way i feel abt myself nowadays is...not good. like, i am finding it very hard not to shit on myself. i'd reached a point where i was starting to like myself. where i thought i was funny and smart and kind (not inherently but i strive to be) and stylish and dare i say pretty and charming? but now i have to fight invisible barriers just to genuinely think kind words abt myself. there's been a setback and i hate it! bc i want to actually Do smth this year. i've just been doing my retail job, part-time too, and nothing else and like. i feel stagnant. and i'm afraid if i don't do anything different this year then i'll miss my chance and be stagnant for another 5 yrs. and i'm angry at myself for being the type of person that's unmotivated and tired all the time and cracks under pressure and easily gives up and spends their days sitting on their ass watching yt vids for hrs and would become one w their couch if they didn't have places to be and ppl to to see. i wish i had drive and energy and goals and skills and smarts but i feel like i have none of these things plus i have a boring personality :/ soooo. times are ruff!!!!

Haunted ~ (Suguru Geto x Reader Angst)

characters: fem!reader x suguru, satoru (mentioned)

warnings: angst, mention of suguru offing the village and his parents rip, the kfc break up

AN: this is the first song fic i’ve ever written sooo lemme know whatcha think!! <3

Birds chirping, children’s laughter, the joyful chatter of the people passing her on the street, the sun shining rays of golden warmth down on her skin...

But it all seems grey to her as she watches her best friend and boyfriend stare each other down. Her boyfriend’s face calm, her best friend’s twisted in anger and confusion, and her’s blank. The words flying between the two boys are a faint buzzing in her ears while her gaze is locked on the man in front of her. The man she thought she knew inside and out. They had hit a rough patch in their relationship after the star plasma vessel mission, but she figured that they would work everything out with a bit of time and communication.

“You and I walk a fragile line

I have known it all this time

But I never thought I’d live to see it break,”

Truthfully, she knew something had changed in him recently. The circles underneath his eyes a little darker and his smiles a little more forced. But she never thought he was capable of something like this. And she certainly never thought he would keep an idea of this magnitude from her either.

“It’s getting dark and it’s all too quiet

And I can’t trust anything now

And it’s coming over you like its all a big mistake,”

Suddenly the buzzing in her ears stops and her vision clears as she watches him turn his back, preparing to walk away from her and Satoru.

 Calling out to him for the first time since she’d laid eyes on him, “Suguru, wait!”

He tenses at her voice, looking over his shoulder at her, “I think Satoru has said enough for the both of you… or do you have something to add?”

Her breath catches in her throat. His voice is cold. His gaze is like steel. She’s staring at a stranger. Still, her heart calls out to his and forces her mouth to open.

“Please… Suguru, stay.” She chokes out.

“Oh, I’m holding my breath

Won’t lose you again

Something’s made your eyes go cold,”

For a fraction of a second his expression softens before it becomes stone once more, and he says, “Stay? My immediate execution has already been ordered. I killed an entire village of people. I killed my parents. I could kill you.”

Each word that spills from his mouth makes her sick. Her mind scrambling for a way to convince him not to leave. To stay.

“Come on, come on, don’t leave me like this

I thought I had you figured out

Something’s gone terribly wrong

You’re all I wanted,”

“No! Stay... Stay with me! Suguru, stay with me. Don’t go, please,” with those words the tears overflow, running down her face, “Or I’ll go with you! I don’t care, but don’t you dare leave me behind!”

She can feel Satoru’s incredulous stare bore into the side of her head. Even Suguru has lost his calm facade, his eyes wide at her statement. Then… he laughs. And it’s the first time she’s heard him laugh, truly laugh, in weeks. It’s a beautiful sound, one full of joy and love. The sound that makes her world go round. It makes her believe that maybe she had somehow convinced him.

“Come on, come on, don’t leave me like this

I thought I had you figured out

Can’t breathe whenever you’re gone

Can’t turn back now, I’m haunted,”

When his laughter subsides, he turns to fully face her, and with a soft smile and eyes full of adoration he says, “To think that after everything I’ve done… you would choose to stay by my side. You are truly one of a kind, my love.”

“Suguru please, stay. I love you.” She begs once more.

“And I love you…” he takes a deep breath, “which is why I am going to create this new world. For you. For the both of us.”

She blinks.

“Stood there and watched you walk away

From everything we had

But I still mean every word I said to you,”

He’s gone.

"You and I walk a fragile line

Never ever thought I'd see it break

Never thought I'd see it."

I saw this on Twitter and it just made think cause of how everyone is perceiving ray and sands situation and I'm having a hard time to find the right words, and I love hearing other ppls takes cause it helps opening up this conversation about addiction and mental health.

Cause some I've seen were really upset or annoyed that he followed after him, and I initially wasn't upset cause it's like sand what said! on a human to human level, right from wrong just basic human decency he wasn't gonna let him do damage. And from what we've seen sand has this caretaker aura already indebted in him like his mom made that clear. But like yes ray just said some messed things that he definitely needs to apologize for but at the same time, I know for me I couldn't allow my friend to get in the car in that state it would bother me honestly. And like OP said when someone's in that state of mind they will say things that are highly insensitive and insulting. But I can't not still stop him from worse and I dont think sand doing that is out of character it's him he helps ppl. He even helped ray in the beginning so it wasn't surprising to me. But I saw some ppl saying he shouldn't have and I just wanted to hear some reasonings on it and this tweet made sense to me and maybe someone here too.

And these as well I want to include. Cause ray gives off to me that he has tried before which I believe mew said but he didn't obviously stick on that path. Cause he doesnt have someone to push him and yes it's not his friends responsibility and they aren't fully equipped to do so. But it's not gonna easy for him to keep trying or even attempt to if he doesn't have at least one person who will be there with him. It's easy to tell someone get help but if you know the person as well as u do u know that's not gonna be that easy. So in the end of this lol I'm just open to hearing all sides of this.

imagine thinking the solution to ofs was to break up the pairs to "make it less boring", and if there was gonna be a S2 they should do that and have a rm endgame and then imagine telling someone who doesn't like that to not be like the OTHER fandom who isn't okay with breaking up their pair because we're cool and hip and fun!!

like why would you want mew endgame to be ray, someone who pressured mew to try and have sex with him? why would you want it to be with sand, someone who assaulted top? how is the couples not being broken up THE PROBLEM WITH THAT FUCKING SHOW???

like yeah have your own opinion on pairings ok fine, but it's FINE TO SHIP A PAIRING AND WANT THEM TO BE TOGETHER. it does not make someone lame, or "like that fandom"- a fandom of people who excuse SA and the like. UGH

This Wasn't Part Of The Script

MC: Rams Erndheart Book: The Elementalist Word Count: 887 Summary: Rams is too tired. Let co rest. Taglist: @choicesbookclub @choicesmonthlychallenge

The stairs groaned, their old age struggling under the weight of co’s father. Rams let co’s head loll to the side, watching the shadow creep upstairs.  

In just a couple steps, he’d see the light of Ram’s room still shining through cos window despite the fact it was almost three AM. Despite the fact co got up at 6AM to meet the bus. Despite the fact co had yet to eat lunch. 

Like every night, he’d pause just in front of the door and listen for the familiar clack of keyboards or the scritch of graphite on paper or the almost soundless glide of a pen across paper. 

‘Ah,’ Rams thought, watching the shadow cover the small opening under co’s doorway. It was time to play cos part. 

Hauling cos heavy body up, Rams reached for a pen. Its weight aged zim. The words in front of zim spun under the warm light, each evading their meanings. 

Now that Mr Erndheart had confirmed Rams was alive, he’d lumber to his room. Wrap himself in blankets. Snuggle under the warmth. And sleep peacefully. (He tended to snore, a sign of good sleep for him at least. Rams wasn’t sure what Ms Sullivan thought of it. She always slept by nine.) 

While Rams kept working until cos back hurt or sleep snatched co or co decided enough was enough. 

Rams closed zir eyes. Took a breath. This night would be long. Tomorrow would be longer and the night after that would stretch into infinity. 

Xir back still hurt. Xir seat was uncomfortable. Wooden, stiff, hard and just a little too tall for the desk she worked at. 

‘But,’ xir mind supplied, ‘at least it stops me from falling asleep! If I were more comfortable, I’d sleep deeper than the dead!’ 

Xe wanted to take a walk. But it was too dark. They’d never let xir out. 

‘We could bike.’

Rams almost scoffed aloud, ‘It’s too late. Besides they’re asleep, we couldn’t ask—‘ 

“Rams?” 

Cos heart almost stopped. Why wasn’t he asleep already? This didn’t ever happen. Had co done something wrong? 

Cos eyes scanned her packet. Words with no meaning still spun in place, teasing co with their secrets. 

Zir eyes scanned zir clock, the red dottles font stared back at her. It was almost five. Not three.  

The warm light wasn’t zir. It was the first rays of sunrise. When had z ze offed her lights? What had ze done for the past two hours? There were things still needed to be done! 

Still assignments to finish, projects to plan, meeting notes to review, emails to schedule, study papers to create, practices to complete and —yes, xe wasn’t going to finish it all in a mere two hours but xe could’ve done some! Some to help later zir! Some that wouldn’t have to be done later! Doing some was better than doing none! 

“Rams?” 

Right. 

A smile warped cos eyes, choking the tears that’d risen. It presented cos with all the ugliness tucked away. Now co was all business: polite and sociable without being overly friendly. Perfect in dealing with easily impressed adults. 

Co opened his door wider, coming face to face with Mr Erndheart, “Sir?” 

Mr Erndheart cleared his throat, “Try to get some sleep.” 

“Of course, sir, sleep is important and I’m so tired,” Rams ended in a polite laugh, cos smile rounding the edges of his words. 

Mr Erndheart let the laughter die on Rams’ mouth, “That was all.” 

“Of course, sir, thank you for checking up on me.” Cos choked tears painted cos words with bitterness.  

Mr Erndheart nodded. The floor groaned under his steps as he made his way to his room. Back to his bed. 

To wrap himself in blankets. To snuggle under the warmth. And to sleep peacefully. (He would snore, a sign of good sleep for him at least. And Ms Sullivan was already asleep.) 

And Rams’ back still hurt. 

Retreating away from the doorway, Rams let zir head loll. Let zir eyes close in mock-sleep. Pretend for a moment that co was asleep. 

It was a reverie so unrealistic Rams had to open cos eyes in seconds. 

A warm chuckle unfurled in cos chest. How so co.  

Co reached for a blue pen, just as blue as the flowers littering co’s floor. 

Ze froze. 

Flowers? 

Blue gerbera daisies flooded zir room. From the darkest corner of xir closet to xir window stand, brilliant blue gerberas comforted Rams far beyond words ever could. 

Xe reached out to touch one, marveling in the softness of its petals, delighting as pollen dusted her fingers.

Reaching out for another, xe found the same miracle. Again and again, each flower felt real in xir hands. Each flower held xir safe, edged xir to sleep, guided xir into rest such that, for a blissful moment, ze didn’t notice the transparency of the flowers. 

Or the way they flickered out of existence when ze turned zir head. Or the way some melded into each other, just at the edges of zir vision. 

No, co only knew the familiar comfort they radiated as co finally closed cos eyes. What an angel co had, watching over cos from its home in heaven above. Taking time to comfort co when co was alone, telling cos co was never truly alone. 

so Rams angst that isn't as angsty as I thought it'd be... guess im allergic to writing the stuff xD

Some Notes here: blue gerbera's don't exist gerbera's aid in providing sleep! gerbera's turn towards the sun (like sunflowers) they symbolize happiness and comfort and Rams is supposed to be an unreliable narrator but im not sure how well i got that across so 🤷‍♀️

With all the (great) posts about Sand's "I can differentiate between love and sex" but him clearly falling more and more in love-

I think it's also interesting to point out they haven't actually had sex again since that first time.

If we compare them to Nick and Boston for a second, Nick falls in love (or becomes obsessed) with Boston because of the constant closeness and intimacy from having sex and the blurry lines it causes (Boston teasing him, kissing him on the cheek and shoulder etc).

With Sand and Ray most of their interaction has been, well, spending quality time together- cooking + eating, getting a drink, driving, having a heart to heart, listening to music etc. They have so many opportunities to fall in love even without the sex..
