Just after all the non-stop hate, pain, traumatization, re-traumatization, and just everything we have been seeing I think we need some Simcha right now.
So in that vein I want to share this because it fills me Simcha and pure Jewish joy:

מי לי יתן שתי אהבות כקדם
Who will give me two loves as before
כך אתחזק בעצב הנעורים
thus I'll gather strength in the sorrow of youth.
מי לי יתן שתי אבוקות של זהר
Who will give me two torches of glow
כך אדלק כנוער האהבה
thus I'll light up as the youth of love.
גלגל הזמן גולש
The cycle of time boils over
ואיש לאיש לוחש
and a person whispers to another
תראה הזמן עבר
look, time has passed
הזמן עבר
time has passed.
מי לי יתן שתי עלמות של חמד
Who will give me two delightful maidens
שתי עלמות בחסד השקיעה
two maides at the grace of sun-down.
מי לי יתן חטא מחייך בבוקר
Who will give me sin smiles in the morning
חטא מחייך באושר האהבה
sin smiles in the bliss of love.
גלגל הזמן גולש...
The cycle of time boils over... (x2)
מי לי יתן
Who will give me.

Thinking about how in 1983 Ofra Haza, a Yemenite-Jew refugee, sang the song Chai at Eurovision in Munich, Germany 11 years after the Munich Massacre and only four decades after the Holocaust, with a song where the chorus says Am Yisrael Chai - The Nation of Israel Lives and it's all about joyous survival. (She placed second)

Perfect for Passover and for Easter: The Prince of Egypt (1998)
Many have never watched this timeless cinematic MASTERPIECE. Dreamworks took liberties in making an adaptation from the Exodus, but it remained true to the bedrock of our faith. It pushed the boundaries of cinematography and gave the world an epic retelling of this true, supernatural story. The songs (Stephen Schwartz) and score (Hans Zimmer) are breathtakingly brilliant. The all star cast is superb. Below please find clips from scenes, song lyrics, commentary, cast interviews, links to the famous diva duet, and 2 of many recent reaction videos. Rest in Peace: Val Kilmer, Whitney Houston & Ofra Haza

Deliver Us
[OVERSEERS and SLAVES]
Mud!
Sand!
Water!
Straw!
Faster!
Mud - and lift!
Sand - and pull!
Water - and raise up!
Straw!
[GUARD]
Faster!
[SLAVES]
With the sting of the whip on my shoulder
With the salt of my sweat on my brow
Elohim, God on high
Can You hear Your people cry?
Help us now
This dark hour
Deliver us
Hear our call, deliver us
Lord of all, remember us
Here in this burning sand
Deliver us
There's a land You promised us
Deliver us to the Promised Land
[YOCHEVED]
Yal-di ha-tov veh ha-rach
Al ti-ra veh al tif-chad
My son, I have nothing I can give
But this chance that you may live
I pray we'll meet again
If He will deliver us
[SLAVES]
Deliver us
Hear our prayer
Deliver us
From despair
These years of slavery grow too cruel to stand
Deliver us
There's a land You promised us
Deliver us
Out of bondage, and
Deliver us to the Promised Land
[YOCHEVED]
Hush now, my baby
Be still, love, don't cry
Sleep as you're rocked by the stream
Sleep and remember my last lullaby
So I'll be with you when you dream
River, o river
Flow gently for me
Such precious cargo you bear
Do you know somewhere he can live free?
River, deliver him there
[YOUNG MIRIAM]
Brother, you're safe now
And safe may you stay
For I have a prayer just for you
Grow, baby brother
Come back someday
Come and deliver us, too
[SLAVES]
Deliver us
Send a shepherd to shepherd us
And deliver us to the Promised Land
Deliver us to the Promised Land
[YOCHEVED]
Deliver us
Let My People Go
[CHOIR]
(Thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord)
(Thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord)
(Thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord) Since you refuse to free my people (Since you refuse to free my people)
(Thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord, thus saith the Lord) All through the land of Egypt
I send a pestilence and plague
Into your house, into your bed
Into your streams, into your streets
Into your drink, into your bread
Upon your cattle, on your sheep
Upon your oxen in your field
Into your dreams, into your sleep
Until you break, until you yield
I send the swarm, I send the horde
Thus saith the Lord
[MOSES]
Once I called you brother
Once I thought the chance to make you laugh
Was all I ever wanted
[CHOIR]
I send the thunder from the sky
I send the fire raining down
[MOSES]
And even now, I wish that God had chose another
Serving as your foe on His behalf
Is the last thing that I wanted
[CHOIR]
I send a hail of burning ice
On every field, on every town
[MOSES]
This was my home
All this pain and devastation, how it tortures me inside
All the innocent who suffer from your stubbornness and pride
[CHOIR]
I send the locusts on the wind
Such as the world has never seen
On every leaf, on every stalk
Until there's nothing left of green
I send my scourge, I send my sword
Thus saith the Lord
[MOSES]
You, who I called brother
Why must you call down another blow?
[CHOIR]
I send my scourge, I send my sword
[MOSES]
Let my people go!
[CHOIR]
Thus saith the Lord
[MOSES & CHOIR]
Thus saith the Lord
[RAMESES]
You, who I called brother
How could you have come to hate me so?
Is this what you wanted?
[CHOIR]
I send the swarm, I send the horde
[RAMESES]
Then let my heart be hardened
And never mind how high the cost may grow
This will still be so
I will never let your people go
[CHOIR]
Thus saith the Lord
[MOSES]
Thus saith the Lord
[RAMESES, RAMESES, MOSES & CHOIR & MOSES]
I will not let your (My) people go
When You Believe
[Verse 1]
Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song we barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains long before we knew we could
[Chorus]
There can be miracles when you believe
Though hope is frail it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe
[TZIPPORAH]
[Verse 2]
In this time of fear when prayer so often proved in vain
Hope seemed like the summer birds; too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here
[MIRIAM]
Now I'm standing here
[TZIPPORAH]
With heart so full I can't explain
[MIRIAM & TZIPPORAH]
Seeking faith and speaking words I never thought I'd say
[Chorus]
There can be miracles when you believe
(When you believe)
Though hope is frail it's hard to kill
(It's hard to kill)
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
(You can achieve)
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe
[Bridge]
[HEBREW CHILDREN]

[Chorus]
[ALL]
There can be miracles when you believe
Though hope is frail it's hard to kill
(It's hard to kill)
Who knows what miracles you can achieve
(You can achieve)
When you believe, somehow you will
Now you will
You will when you believe
(When you believe)
[MIRIAM & TZIPPORAH]
You will when you believe
