an explanation

hello my loves! i havent been able to update in an extremely long time for multiple reasons:  1. I graduated and have been working a lot to move out of my house asap  2. I’ve been trying to better my mental and physical health 3. i got a boyfriend lolz  4. i didn’t know what story to update next and wanted to avoid burnout 5. my birthday just passed 6. i just got a new computer  7. i was scared my bf would find the fact that i write weird, but he actually thinks its cool so i’m back lol

i’ve just been checking my notifications and i would like to deeply thank all of you for your kind words and support over the last few months. i love all 358 of you so so dearly and i am so grateful to all of you.  new work coming soon--comment of ask/message me if there’s anything you’d like to get higher on the totem pole of updates!  i love you all so much!  -msg <3

As a lifelong self-employed schlub, sometimes the Dog Days of summer can be very slow, a slow spot to get things going in, unless you've been watering that money tree of your client base all winter and spring. BEGINNING PT.16

when you begin to feel truly back inside your body it’s almost as if the tanned creases of skin that fit to you so well were waiting and preserving themselves, the smile lines kept themselves alive for the sake of an approachable demeanour. but when you enter and reminisce the thrown that is your own self-awareness, you’re not royalty of much. what qualities do i forcefully extract from myself in attempts to make others remember that i live here? i am not invisible and sometimes i wish i was, to avoid the justification of my disappearances which feel like justifying each breath, blink and step i take.

what’s expected of me isn’t what i can provide. all that is left right now is wet patches on pillows and until they dry up i think i will be a rewinded cassette that is only kept around for sentimental value, not because it is of any use. when i explain myself to you, or others, or him - or them, it feels like i am slathering hot pink paint over my problems. i am planting lavender onto the surfaces so to cover up what i don’t want to admit to myself.

they say the first step to recovery is to admit there is a problem. but admiration of myself has lead to me to admit a long while ago and never act upon it. i turn the heater down so to mimic the act of freezing time but my clock still pounds the heaviest and never allows my mind to wither away from the thought of living in yesterday’s regret. nothing is poetic, everything is a slap to the face, a bruise to the neck and empty white space. the empty space cannot be filled with wallowing and i do not take pleasure in eye contact with those who know i waste my time interlocking my fingers with my mattress. let me rest, just 5 more minutes.
