Fracking and Natural Gas Discovery
As the director of operations for Cimmaron Resources, Joshua Neale Wolcott is entrusted with a myriad of responsibilities. Cimmaron Resources performs oil and gas exploration services, and Joshua “Josh” Wolcott has a direct role in the planning and managing of these services. A recent technique used for gas exploration is fracking. Fracking is a process of drilling into the ground and using fracking fluid, a mixture of sand, water, and chemicals, to pierce through the rock and recover natural gas from shale. Prior to the invention of the fracking technique, the natural gas in the shale was previously inaccessible. The advent of the new extraction process provides energy companies with another resource for collecting energy. Domestic shale gas is plentiful through the use of fracking and is seen as another resource for energy companies. The price volatility in the natural gas market is a leading factor in the willingness to use such innovative methods as fracking to find and extract natural resources domestically.

Oil Prices and the Economic Boom
Joshua Wolcott is the director of operations for Cimmaron Resources, a company based in Denver. In that position, Joshua Neale Wolcott is responsible for managing field operations and project planning related to oil exploration. Since the middle of 2014, the price of oil has dropped more than 40 percent. Oil is a vital commodity that contributes to the overall health of the economy. Oil affects the cost of various consumer goods and services, including the price of foods, medicines and travel. Low costs for oil reduces the prices of many consumer goods. When consumers have more disposable income, they are able to redirect that money into additional spending or investment. Despite the fact that the reduced prices may have some negative effects on stock markets in the short term, it is likely that the money saved in general will influence growth not only in the U.S. but on the global economy.

The Three Main Methods of Transporting Oil
Denver, Colorado native Joshua Neale Wolcott is the director of operations and land, Cimmaron Resources, Inc. Having spearheaded numerous oil and gas projects, Joshua “Josh” Wolcott has substantial experience in the transportation of oil. The next task after drilling crude oil is finding a way to transport it to refineries and later to the mass market. There are three main ways of transporting oil: 1) Pipelines Pipelines are the cheapest and in many instances the quickest method of transporting crude. It is also much safer than other forms, since pipelines very rarely spill. There are an estimated 500,000 miles of pipeline spread out all over the United States. In the year 2014, these pipelines transported up to 3.4 billion barrels of crude with a 99 percent delivery success rate. 2) Ships Ships have a volume advantage over other forms of transport. Large barges have a capacity of up to 1.3 million barrels, and a tow can convey several barges. However, if the ships spill the oil, the environmental damage can be massive. 3) Rail Rail transport is a safe and convenient way of transporting oil that opens up regions otherwise unreachable by pipeline. If an oil spillage occurs, the spill’s environmental impact will be far smaller than that of a pipeline or ship.

Defining Corporate Restructuring
Since 2005, Joshua Neale Wolcott has overseen the development, planning, and management of operations at Cimmaron Resources, Inc. as director of operations and land. In 2007, Joshua “Josh” Wolcott from Denver, Colorado, spearheaded the corporate restructuring process for one of Cimmaron’s clients. In the ever-evolving world of finance and technology, companies need to adapt to keep operations profitable, maintain customers, stay ahead of competition, and to solve significant problems that are threatening its continued operations, such as debt. This adaptation comes in the form of restructuring. Restructuring is the fundamental modification of a company’s financial or operational structure, so as to add value to the company. Corporate restructuring occurs in two parts: operational restructuring and financial restructuring. Operational restructuring seeks to increase the profitability of the business model. Examples include selling a specific division, closing down loss-making facilities, mergers, and acquisitions. Financial restructuring may be undertaken to improve a company’s capital structure. For example, a company with debt problems can consolidate their debts to make them more manageable, reschedule them to a more convenient date, or swap the debt for equity.

Climbing Etiquette
Since 2005, Joshua Neale Wolcott has been the director of operations and land at Cimarron Resources, Inc., an oil and gas exploration company located in Denver. When he has spare time, Joshua Wolcott enjoys rock climbing. Rock climbing etiquette is simple, but important, and proper climber behavior can make the experience much more enjoyable for everyone at the site. The following list represents a few courtesies that every climber should practice: 1. Research the Crag-Every crag, or climbing site, has its own set of rules. Climbing guidebooks will usually include a small section of particular ethics for a site. Read them ahead of time and respect them. 2. Respect the Site-Do not leave trash at the climbing site. Minimize your impact by keeping your gear and debris away from any flora and fauna in the area. 3. Limit Noise Pollution-Many climbers head to the cliffs for some peace. If you want to listen to music, wear headphones. Additionally, unsolicited advice yelled across the crag may annoy, rather than help, fellow climbers. 4. Be Considerate of Others-Clean up any tick marks left on holds after using, so other climbers can enjoy the challenge of deciphering their own course. When climbing a busy route, be aware of those below you and try to avoid kicking loose rocks.

Pepperdine University Home to Most Study Abroad Participants in US
A resident of Denver, Colorado, Joshua "Josh" Neale Wolcott has spent more than a decade as a land and field project planner at Cimmaron Resources, Inc. A former financial manager and analyst, Joshua Wolcott earned a bachelor of arts in economics from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. In November 2015, the Institute of International Education (IIE) named Pepperdine University the doctoral school with the highest amount of undergraduate participants studying abroad. IIE published these findings in its annual Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, which surveyed about 3,000 accredited universities across the United States. Overall, the report found that more than 300,000 U.S. college students participated in study abroad programs in the 2013-2014 school year, an overall participation increase of seven percent. Within the academic community of Pepperdine alone, more than 86 percent of undergraduate students studied abroad last year. This number increased by more than 27 percent from the 2012-2013 school year, which helped the university advance from sixth to first place on IIE’s list. In addition to this ranking, Pepperdine achieved the number two spot on the list of doctoral schools with the longest study abroad stays.

A Brief Overview of Wind Farms
For nearly a decade, Joshua Wolcott has served as director of operations and land for Cimmaron Resources, Inc., a Denver-based oil and gas company that manages several projects across the mid-continental region. In this role, Josh Wolcott oversees a number of diverse operations encompassing four states and 110,000 acres. In one notable project, Joshua Neale Wolcott assisted a Colorado wind energy firm in planning, budgeting, and collaborating with energy partners to develop a wind farm spanning 10,000 acres. Wind farms, also known as wind plants, are groups of large turbines that serve as the most cost-efficient option for wind energy. Wind farm turbines are typically placed far apart in rural regions with large amounts of high-speed wind. The large quantity of turbines allows for the full use of the area’s wind resources. Due to the minimal space required for turbine construction, wind farms generally do not disrupt agricultural operations in rural areas. In some cases, they can produce up to several hundred megawatts (MW) of power, with each turbine operating at a power capacity of 700 kilowatts (KW) to 1.8 MW. Horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWTs) are most often used for wind farms, while vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) may prove more effective for small-scale or residential use. As the rotational axis of a VAWT is perpendicular with the ground, it can be powered from all angles, proving useful in areas with inconsistent wind conditions.

Natural Gas and Oil in the Powder River Basin
The director of operations at Cimmaron Resources, Inc., Joshua Neale Wolcott oversees oil and natural gas projects throughout the Rockies and Oklahoma. Working from Denver, Joshua Wolcott currently manages areas in the Powder River Basin. In his most recent acquisition of 34,000 net acres there, Josh Wolcott collaborated with partners to sell a large part of the land while maintaining the rest for future natural gas and oil development. Known for is high production of coal, the Powder River Basin is a valuable source for oil and natural gas. The region includes portions of Wyoming and Montana, but the Wyoming part makes up nearly 99 percent of production each year. This region includes the Shannon, Sussex, Niobrara, and Turner formations. Of its natural gas minerals, some 90 percent of it since 2006 has been coal bed methane. However, natural gas availability has decreased over the last few years. Conversely, oil production grew by a comparable amount during that time. The Mowry and Niobrara formations produce oil in shale, which is a fine-grained sedimentary rock that also contains natural gas. The Parkman, Shannon, Sussex, and Turner formations produce oil in tight sands.

Powder River Basin Continues to Soar
Joshua (Josh) Wolcott is the current director of operations at Cimmaron Resources, an energy and mining firm located in Denver, Colorado. In charge of developing Cimmaron’s largest energy endeavors, one of Joshua Neale Wolcott’s primary focuses is the Powder River Basin in Wyoming. Once the site of a shallow sea and subtropical swampland, the Powder River Basin now holds the nation’s largest coal deposit. Compared to coal mining sites worldwide, the Powder River Basin has the largest amount of coal located close to the surface, making it cheaper to mine. While coal prices and production are down in many parts of the world, they continue to thrive at this location. According to federal energy reports, Powder River Basin coal reserves contain more energy than in the Middle East, leaving many wondering whether the United States will become the Middle East's equivalent in its capacity to export coal. Currently, the basin supplies more than 40 percent of the nation’s coal and contains 50 billion tons of recoverable coal. The world’s largest economy, China, is also the largest importer of coal; because of this, the Powder River Basin not only has the potential to give the U.S. energy independence, but could also make coal one of the nation’s most lucrative exports.

Oil and Gas Exploration - The Rule of Capture in the United States
Oil and gas industry professional Joshua Neale Wolcott resides in Denver, Colorado, and serves Cimmaron Resources, Inc., as the Director of Operations and Land. In this role, Joshua Wolcott and his team provide geologists, landmen, and oil and gas companies with a wide range of services, among them prospect generation, project management, and land and title work. The rule of capture governs ownership of natural resources such as oil and gas, decreeing that entitlement rests with the person who initially captured the resources. In addition to natural resources, the rule applies to animals and groundwater. Water and oil exist in liquid form and may travel and pool in areas outside property boundaries. For this reason, the party that captures the resources holds no responsibility for duty of care under the rule of capture, should the water and oil have traveled from an adjacent property owned by a third party. Not all U.S. jurisdictions have adopted the rule of capture. Developing economic pressures in the United States have caused some jurisdictions to adopt equitable correlative rights and observe strict production regulations instead.
