Bandai Adds Hidden Tamagotchi Uni Power Off Button

We’ve you been asking, and Bandai has been listening. In a recent software update, Bandai has quietly added a power off button on the Tamagotchi Uni, after hearing the outcry for there no being one upon the initial release. How do you access it? You need to reset the device by pressing the reset button on the back of the Tamagotchi Uni, and then hold down “A” + “C” buttons while booting, you will then see options for continue, reset all, restore version, and off. How cute that they added a Tamagotchi icon next to the off option?

Selecting the off button will power off the device! To power the device back on, you’ll need to hold the “B" button down for 5 seconds. Upon powering on, you’ll want to select “Continue” to restore all of your content.

We even booted up another Tamagotchi Uni that we did not update, it’s actually running the original software, version 1.0. Trying the same trick does NOT display any further option then continue and reset. So we’re not entirely sure which software update added this new feature.

It’s interesting that this feature is nested in this boot menu, and not accessible in the main menu when booted into the Tamagotchi Uni interface. This gives us so much hope that this could one day be added, but perhaps Bandai does not wish to add it to the main menu due to the desired gameplay.

karma for cool girl? could be, could be. i have to face some sort of consequence for that, surely. it wasn’t kind, what i did. still - is it such a crime to change your mind? it must be, or else why would i be so angry now? this cannot be good for me. my mental health was stable before this. i was bored but i was peaceful. now i am longing again for that offbutton, for the repreive. but the one person who can give it to me won’t. well. i dont want to live like this anymore. rather, i dont want to live like this AGAIN, back to novemeber, hanging off the whims of a girl who doesnt know what she wants, only that it isn’t me. i remember what I want. and yes, i want her, but more than that, i dont want this. i dont want this. please, for the love of god, make it make sense to me. i dont want this feeling in my chest. let me see her on friday and if she doesnt want me then, let her release me. Where is the off button?

So it’s becoming a regular theme where I can’t sleep because of all these stories floating inside my brain.. even when I do fall asleep I’ll wake up at 02:00 or 03:00 for a repeat, rehearsal and story revisions. Creativity is a wonderful thing but sometimes It would be nice to have a off-button -_-’

I’ll probably get a good night sleep again if I can just finish the mountain of stories and of course artwork that must accompany it! But the mountain just keep growing and I've barely even started. Worse is... I’m afraid that if I do even manage to finish this project I’ll feel the emptiness again.

Away from the desk, to take in the moment tonight

Right now, I’m jamming in a Suburban to “Nikita” living my best 17-year-old’s dream...but I have so much to tell you guys. SO. MUCH. So much about Cabo, all about the @LemonadeLA inspiring event I hosted last week and some very, very exciting news to share when it comes to #DawnsDestinations & @DineAndDishWithDawn. But, not tonight.  Nope. Tonight, before I share alllll of that - and, before February becomes the fast-moving train that it is certain to be - I’m spending the next to last night of the first month of 2019, headed to the #EltonFarewellTour to see @EltonJohn with @SandalsResorts at the exclusive #SandalsHydeOut. And, y’all - I’m doing something I rarely do: I’m pressing the OFF-button on work mode. I said no more calls. I’m not checking my emails. And, I’m actually going to live in the moment... enjoying myself... Dancing with my love @nickyedinak... Singing along with my friends who are joining us there... and, of course, marveling in wonder at Sir @EltonJohn himself in all of the genius and majesty he is and represents. As “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” starts playing, 17-year-Old me is so excited right now. And, 17-year-old me really wants me to be a better, more lenient and flexible boss with myself in 2019. I’m really gonna try to make that girl happy tonight. 14-- that's amazing for a whole novel!

I didn't finish one til I was 18. I started at 13. No idea how long it is except about 10 notebooks..... I spent all that time on it and realized it was ridiculous and abandoned it. It was about spies and I had no idea what I was talking about. And the main character was annoying.... Maybe a bit self insert/Mary sueish. All that I wanted to be! A spy at 18, and she lives on a horse ranch, and was in a group that had a time machine... ha started it at 13 and had no idea what being 18 would be like. Spent all that time writing instead of the real world bc I liked it better than the real world. Never did know what it was like to be a teen except be depressed, eat top much and want to kill myself with grandpas gun when I was 15. Never knew how to develop real relationships or deal with stress or difficult emotions, just his in my book. Ended th at book but I am still. .doing the same thing and have no idea how to deal w real world, all is pain and stress. .. I always did think this unlike my niece who is so outgoing and energetic... when I was 5 got "lost" in the woods riding horse, horse ran my leg into the tree and I kept saying, "i hope it isn't real, I hope it isn't real" moms main life defining phrase is when she was 3 and she picked the pussywillows off their stick and her dad yelled at her and she said "I'm just a baby". Mom said mine is "I hope it isn't real". And it only gets more true...

How can I really write if I don't know life

Cant, it's all horror and pain out there but somehow I at least need the bare minimum of a place of my own... with a job I love lol

Never abandon your craft.

I’m going to tell you a little story.

At the age of 14, I finished my first novel length piece. For the standards of a 14 year old, I was told it was good.

So I edited.

And edited.

And wrote 5 full books in the series.

I got to college where people were older, wiser…more skilled.

And I got so used of being told that my idea was good, that it came as a shock when some people told me it was childish and poorly written…like a 14 year old wrote it.

I abandoned it for almost all of college. Got a degree in finance. Went to work as an analyst…which is still my job now, 3 years later.

I picked up the story again towards the end of college. And I decided - no, I won’t abandon it. I love these characters.

I just need to change them. And revamp this.

Use what I learned.

So I did.

I rewrote.

And here I am now. Close to being ready for betas. Hoping that my idea is at least somewhat appealing.

And since truly picking it up again this past year…I think, I’ve been more inspired, more in love…and maybe a bit happier?

I guess what I’m saying is…don’t abandon your stories. Accept they need change. And prove that you can change them.

Grow.

Write.

Accept.

Be phenomenal.
