SEO DOAH x FEM!READER
Prompt: Doah studies as hard as she can all the time and luckily as her girlfriend, you’re there to help her take all that stress away
Warnings/Notes: eating 🐱, fingering, sub Doah, g!p reader, pretend the pyramid game itself does not exist so we can be peaceful
A/N: for our cutie patootie Doah and also for that anon that requested :3
It was around 7:45am when you walked into the classroom with your arms stretched out wide, seeing that the whole class was almost present.
But your eyes immediately moved to the front where your cute girlfriend was sitting, already going through one text book as her hand scribbled note after note.
Who would’ve thought you’d date such a cute quiet nerd? She was a big comparison to you. Obnoxiously loud, social, yet laid back with school work.
“Morning baby” you whispered in her ear and kissed her temple.
“Mhm. Good morning” she muttered in return.
Her eyes didn’t even leave the page.
“Wow. At this point, you love that text book more than me” you pouted, breaking Doah’s concentration.
She finally looked at you with her boba eyes, obviously trying to seem angry but anything she does just ended up being cute. “I’m studying”
“Oh really? I couldn’t tell” you joked while she scowled, pulling at your cheek.
“Sometimes I wonder how we ended up being together in the first place”
You winced from the pinch. “Ouch. I was literally asking myself that a few seconds ago. I guess it doesn’t matter, it makes our love story a bit cuter don’t you think?”
“You have a way with words, Choi Y/n” Doah smiled and looked down at her text book again.
You finally took the seat beside her and made a quick move to kiss her cheek before she could dodge it. “Mwuah”
“Stop it, I need to focus”
“Baby, you stress yourself too much! It’s time for a break... Are you even listening to me?”
Your girlfriend hummed.
“Doah baby, I’m serious. You need to remove all that stress before it eats you up” You scolded and the shorter girl removed her gaze from whatever paragraph she was on.
“And how can I magically remove all this stress, Y/n? Hm? Intrigue me”
Taking her words as a challenge, you slid an arm around her waist and pulled her closer that her chair scraped the floor. Doah gasped and her hands immediately went onto your shoulders.
“W-What are you doing?”
“You really wanna know how I can remove that stress? It’s an easy math equation. My mouth plus your body equals no more stress! Tada!
“C-Choi Y/n! We’re in public!” She whisper yelled, looking around to check if any of her classmates had heard.
You gave her your famous charming eyes, the one that made her fall for you from the start. “Please, my love?”
Oh and your charming words too.
“Behave”
You only smirked and leaned your lips close to her ear. “Don’t you miss my tongue, baby? I promise I’ll let you study in peace after”
Doah let out a shaky sigh. “You really promise?”
“Certain”
And just like that, you two were hiding in the teacher’s lounge thanks to Doah’s privileges. All doors were locked and the curtains had all been shut for privacy.
Although you weren’t entirely against the idea of an audience, your girlfriend would definitely burn you alive if any exhibitionism happened.
Doah was in your lap, her glasses had been discarded somewhere and her uniform was unbuttoned. She was releasing adorable moans while you lapped at her neck, being yanked away by the hair just when you were about to bite.
“No marks, Choi”
You couldn’t utter a quick response when she crashed your lips together, her small tongue pushing its way inside. It was an invitation for you to suck at it, letting it explore more of her mouth that the mix of your salivas were dripping down your chins.
It was so hot.
You were already painfully rock hard, the bulge poking at your girlfriend’s clothed entrance.
The shorter girl pulled away, admiring the string of saliva that connected your tongues. She moved off your lap to lie down on the long couch, bringing you with her.
She took her underwear off but every other clothing stayed. “I’m not taking anything else off. You’ve got 10 minutes to make me cum and then we’re out of here”
“Baby. I only need 5 minutes” you let out an arrogant scoff, quickly kissing her lips before shuffling down to rest in between her spread legs.
You pushed her skirt up and felt your mouth water at the sight of her soaked pussy. Not planning on wasting any more time, you leaned your lips towards her clit and sucked on it gently.
Doah’s back automatically arched, her hands going into your hair. “A-Ah!”
You broke away from her clit to move even further down, sliding your long tongue inside her cunt, groaning from her taste.
Your girlfriend’s hips started to gyrate, relishing in the feeling of you eating her out so good.
“O-Oh yes Y/n. So good baby s-so good!”
“Fuck I missed this” you pulled your tongue out to mutter before diving straight back in, wrapping your arms around your girlfriend’s soft thighs to hold her down.
Doah was a moaning mess, one hand was still in your hair while the other had pushed her bra up to toy with her nipples.
“Don’t stop please, baby”
You decided to return your attention to her clit, sucking harsher than before while plunging two fingers inside her wet hole.
You looked up as your ministrations continued and wow it was a sight to see.
Your girlfriend’s head was thrown back and the light that peaked out from the curtains shined a small spotlight on her body. Like she was an angel.
It encouraged you to double your efforts, thrusting your fingers faster, kissing her clit hungrily, intending to leave her in a sobbing mess.
You were almost there anyways.
“Ah, ah, ah….Y/n I’m going to cum!” She squealed cutely.
Your fingers reached deeper, feeling her walls clench around you. Doah released a final cry as she fisted your hair, legs shaking when you continued to clean her up and your fingers moving to a slower pace.
Pulling away from her, you looked up from between her legs and smiled proudly. Doah’s cheeks went redder at the sight of your mouth completely soaked with her cum.
“That felt so good” she sighed and flopped her head back on the couch.
You crawled up and captured her lips in another sloppy kiss, moving to the side to hide in her neck while you started panting. Doah felt movement between you both and she looked down, seeing you jerking your big cock.
“Mmm Doah baby” you whined.
“Keep stroking your cock like that” she whispered, letting you grunt and lick at her skin while you chased your orgasm.
“Hah…hah fuck gonna cum, Doah…”
“Sit up, let me see you”
You did as told and admired your fucked out girlfriend below you. Her tits were exposed and her cunt was still leaking more cum. You scooped up some of that liquid with your fingers and used it as lube, the hand on your cock moving faster.
“H-Holy shit Doah!”
“Here baby. Cum all over me” Your girlfriend husked and pushed her breasts out.
You aimed your cock towards her plump tits and exploded, closing your eyes from the intensity before laying on top of your girlfriend.
She caressed your back gently.
“Thank you, baby” you heard her say.
It was rare for her to call you by nicknames.
“For?” You panted.
“Taking away all the stress. I love you”

Ok, so for the time being I’m just scanning the pages. I have a few days off next month, so I’m gonna thoroughly read the book then. I finished translating (with Papago) episode 3 of SFH and started episode 4. Here are my rough takeaways:
1. Jung Woo is definitely an unreliable narrator. Some parts of the script is written in a way where it seems like Jung Woo is writing a scene and then the camera pans out to it. Also, our Jung Woo sshi probably imagined this Moon Jo face (I LOVE this face of him 😍😍😍 he he )
2. Moon Jo doesn’t sweat even in sweltering heat
3. Moon Jo seemed to be listening to music while he was eating Tupperware meat. In series, he was just sitting.
4. Jung Woo seemed to have fallen ON Moon Jo ? In the dead cat in the bag in alley scene. Moon Jo tapped his shoulder so JW gets up. In the series, JW gets up by himself
Overall: the script is deliberately written in a way where it seems …. a bit ambiguous. It IS meant to be open ended. The confusion is intentional. The storytelling is absolutely amazing !!!!! And so far, no mention of MJ having a wife and kid (I have heard this theory so many times before) . If it’s mentioned later, I’ll post. So far, no background information on Seo Moon Jo is given in the scriptbook
#strangers from hell#seo moon jo#hell is other people#lee dongwook#seo moonjo#yoon jong woo#yoon jongwoo#lee dong wook#script book#jung woo x moon jo#Jung woo has all potential to be an amazing author#mjjw#jongwoo x moonjo#the story is meant to be ambiguous#the script of strangers from hell is supposed to be open ended#Moon Jo#Jong Woo#I have become quite the fan of Lee Chang Hee#if I were studying filmmaking; I would go to South Korea and intern for Lee Chang Hee

Diversion - SCB - 1/?
pairing: officer changbin x femreader (korean native)
genre: angst, crime, s2l, eventual smut
word count: 4k
trigger warnings for this chapter only: alcohol (mostly takes place at a bar)
rating: 18+/M
summary: Set a year after the events of Catalyst, officer seo visits Jeju to see old friends and get away from the city. He meets a local and finds out that someone can see everything he's hiding.
a/n: this is changbin from my hyunjin mafia story catalyst, you don't have to have read that to understand this story. anyway changbin was so lovely whenever he was on the page that i wanted to write him in his own story. this is also a longer piece than most of what i write. i'm challenging myself to expand and detail and tell a slower story. so, slow burn warning here. notes at the end as well.
series masterlist
Chapter One
It’s an unearthly quiet. You can hear the waves, your steps upon the sand, even the snuffling sound Amadeus makes when he’s sure he’s found an errant crab. But other than that, even the cars seem to be quiet today.
November in Jeju is oddly one of your favorites. Maybe it’s a bit elitist of you, but not having your home overrun with tourists seeking sun, beach, and tangerines is a welcome reprieve. Your very livelihood depends on those tourists to be sure, but when the weather grows colder, the masses go back to their regular lives and you are content to have the space and the quiet again. The air smells of salt and cold, and you tug your scarf around your face again as the wind likes to play with it.
Amadeus prefers the winter months as well. His coat is well-suited for the chill. You once gave him a shave to survive the summer, but he’d looked undignified and you knew that he was disappointed in you for even making that decision. His fur grew back, and you make sure he has plenty of water during those hot months and your walks together are before the sun comes up and late into the night so you both can beat the heat.
He rubs against your leg as though he knows you’re thinking of him (he probably does) and it surprises you so much that you stumble, almost dropping your bag.
You tsk at him but his querlous look tells you that it’s hardly his fault that you can’t be trusted to walk firmly.
He really can be such a judgmental soul.
“Don’t give me that look. You didn’t have to come.”
He snorts derisively and continues leading the way. You readjust your bag to your other shoulder, wincing at the knot at your shoulder blade that is definitely in need of some focus and pampering.
Maybe you spent a bit too much time at your stove again.
But you hurry to keep up with the sure-footed canine in front of you. He leaves the sand and the rocks to the road, ever mindful of the few cars that zoom by. You catch up with him, bending down to brush some of the sand from his ears and head as you both wait to cross toward town. He lets you before shaking you off and continuing on.
Muddy Water is situated at an ideal spot for a local bar: outskirts of the picturesque village, only meters from the ocean. It’s set in a curve of the island that protects from the most severe weather.
You glance at the sky, though the overcast day means it’s hard to pinpoint the exact location of the sun.
It’s early for a drink, but Muddy Water opens for late lunch until one in the morning, though often winter influences all small business owners to close early. The locals aren’t usually going to be up partying past ten.
Amadeus pads up the stoop to the front doors and then settles to the left side. He rests his head on his front paws, only raising his head once you’re at the doors.
“I’ll let him know you’re here too.”
You swear he smiles at the knowledge he’ll probably get fed something all too good for a dog.
You enter and blink a few times as the brightness of the winter day fades to the ambient lighting of the bar.
You hear your name before you see Yena behind the long bar, waving at you. You smile at the ever-bright and cheerful bartender. Woodz (which he prefers to be called as his music career slowly grows) is on the other end, serving the local solicitor and realtor. You nod your head at the two men, but don’t go anywhere near them.
The way they run their businesses is very different than how you run yours.
“What’s in your bag of goodies?” Yena asks with delight. You laugh as you take a seat on the stool right across from where she stands. She sets down a glass of water, before leaning against the smooth, worn wood of the bar. “We’re almost out of–”
You set two sealed jars on the bar, the thunking sound a little more aggressive than the pints of beer being consumed on the other end.
“You knew?”
You could let her think that you had some kind of sixth sense about your wares and the needs of clients, but…
“Your boss let me know.”
Yena looks a little disappointed that you didn’t just suss that out of the air. She takes the two jars and places them on the shelf next to a few bottles of red wine that Muddy Water likes to carry.
“Speaking of, is your boss around?”
Yena turns back to you with a small knowing grin. You raise your eyebrows in question as she pulls two empty jars and sets them before you. You appreciate that the bar remembers to save them once they’re empty.
“She’s in the office.”
“Working?”
Yena usually isn’t this cryptic. It’s not like you have major plans later, but you don’t like to leave your assistant that long in the shop alone.
“With her other bartender.”
Now you understand the knowing smile. You sigh and rest your chin in your hand.
“I would hate to interrupt anything between the two of them. But they might just be working?”
Yena snorts, a bit more high-pitched and cute than Amadeus’s.
“You don’t have to see his heart eyes all the time, every time he looks at her.”
“Jealous?”
“Yes.” Yena purses her lips. “Not really of him, well, I mean, look at him.”
Yes, you’ve looked.
“But more just having someone that gone over you, you know?”
Yena didn’t grow up here, but she has been around for almost a decade. It’s only since she’s been at the bar that you’ve gotten to know her better. You know more about her relationships than you want, but that was kinda what people did…they shared a lot with you.
“I think Lee Chan very much was ‘that gone’ over you.”
She pouts. “You’re probably right. I think I screwed that one up a little too well.” She brushes it off with a shake of her head. “What can I get you to drink? While you’re waiting for our bosslady?”
You eye the shelves like you always do, looking for something that sparks. Muddy Water has an array of liquors, though it’s not posh by any means. You don’t mind that as a good spirit doesn’t require a huge price tag most of the time.
“Whatever well bourbon you have. Maybe cognac too?”
Yena shakes her head. “You always want the cheapest stuff.”
“If it tastes good with the cheapest stuff, it’ll taste good with the most expensive.” You aren’t a mixologist by any means, and Muddy Water is more for the beer and soju crowd; but it’s a fun thing that you and the owner have come up with in the short time she’s been on the island.
Yena sets an empty glass, a tumbler with about two fingers of cognac and another similar amount of bourbon. You pull out two small jars from your own bag, setting them next to the glasses. Yena reaches for one.
“Can I?”
You nod, taking the other and pulling out the cork. You smell it, picking up on the peppercorns and vanilla. You take the cognac and sniff it as well. Your nose wrinkles and you set it down. You take the bourbon and do the same.
Better.
“Is it chai?” Yena asks of the other jar. “You can just make chai?”
You don’t answer her verbally, but lift up one eyebrow. She shrugs.
“What you do is like magic.”
“Hardly,” you answer, before tipping a little of the jar you hold into the bourbon. Precise measurements will come later. Right now, you just need to see if it complements each other. You swirl the dark liquid in the glass and smell it again. You offer it to Yena.
“It smells spicy.”
You nod, before taking back the glass and taking a tiny sip. The face you make pulls a laugh from your observer.
“Not good?”
“No, just not right.” You sip it again, ready for the harsh bite and let it linger on your tongue. “It needs muting.”
“Water?”
“Milk, or your alternate non-dairy option.”
Yena doesn’t look convinced but she goes to grab your request from the prep fridge opposite the realtor and solicitor. You watch as the two men, of a certain age, eyeball the younger bartender with lascivious intent. The music playing in Muddy Water at this early hour is softer than the nightly tunes, often live from local musicians, so the men hear your throat clearing very well.
They both look over, realize that it’s you and the mix of disgust and disdain pleases you almost as much as the scent of the mixed bourbon in front of you. They look away, back toward each other and continue their oh so important business conversation.
Yena returns with the milk carton and sets it amongst your glasses. You pour in about a finger, swirl yet again.
“Any way of heating up with milk prior to pouring?” you ask as you take another sip. Closer. The mellow combination of flavors works nicely.
“This isn’t a coffee shop. We have a microwave.”
That hurts your very soul.
“Yena, what are you–” The voice interrupts itself as you make out Muddy Water’s owner coming from the back of the building. Her hair is in mild disarray, evidence to Yena earlier supposition about the owner and still absent bartender. “Eonnie!”
You greet her with a grin. “Busy doing paperwork, then?”
The absent bartender, Hyunjin, also enters from the back, his hair slightly more in place, but it’s close. He also smiles when he sees you.
“Is he here?” he asks and you can’t be bothered that he doesn’t actual greet you.
“He’s outside. Waiting for you.”
Hyunjin is all glee as he grabs the designated bowl behind the bar, and a small canister that you know houses dog treats. He’s already calling through the front doors to your companion. You can almost hear the thumping of Amadeus’s tail against the wooden porch.
Yena brings the conversation back to what you two were up to. “She wants us to heat the milk. I don’t think we can. Unless we do it in the kitchen?”
You offer the mixed glass to her. You know her palate is far more advanced than Yena’s so as much as you like the young bartender, it’s the owner’s thoughts you really want to hear.
She sips it much like you did, very little and just lets it sit on her tongue for a few seconds.
“Yes, warmed,” she says before taking another sip. “And a little sweet, I think. Just a little simple…” She looks around and grabs the bottle of clear liquid. She tilts it in for one count. You know from your time with her that it’s equal to about a fourth of an ounce. She sips it again. Adds more.
Then offers it back to you.
The sweet does round it out nicely.
“What is the tea?” she asks you as you nod your approval.
“Rooibos. It’s dark like a black tea, but no caffeine. This would be a good, before sleep kind of drink. I added peppercorns and vanilla.” You touch the small jar, and cork it before pushing it over. “I was thinking of more wintery type flavors and came up with this and the other.”
Yena has gotten bored, you think, and walked down to another patron, who seems far less concerning than the ‘upstanding’ citizens of earlier.
“What’s the other?”
You uncork it and offer it to her.
“Smells like chai.”
“It is. Or my version of it.” You take it back before administering a tiny amount to cognac. You’ve probably already been here longer than you thought, but it’s nice at this hour, before the after supper and after work people drift in like Muddy Water is a homing beacon. You taste the new mix and wrinkle your nose.
She takes it from you. Her expression is more thoughtful than yours at first drink.
“Needs…” She moves to the back of the bar. “What’s in it exactly?”
“Cardamom, fennel, black tea.”
She spins around with a ‘eureka’ type grin and brings over a bottle of bitters.
“I have cardamom bitters.” She dispenses three drops of the bitter and takes another taste. “That helps.” She pushes it to you as she goes back to the bar, looking among the many additions and cordials, and spirits. “What about almond?”
“Maybe. But not amoretto. I think that might overpower.”
She nods without looking back at you. You smell it again.
“Citrus too.”
She brings over a bottle of orgeat and bottles of lemon and lime juice. She puts in one count of the orgeat and then holds the two bottles of juices, looking at you for direction.
“Lemon I think.”
“I think the same,” she concurs and adds two counts. She stirs it with a bar spoon and tries it yet again.
You go to try it but she stops you.
“Hold on.”
It’s fun to watch someone who enjoys their work. You wonder if anyone stopping by your shop would think the same of you, though they don’t get to see the experimentation as much, just the results on shelves for sale.
“What are you adding?”
“Egg white.”
You know that’s common in cocktails, but the idea still throws you. She shakes it together without ice, then adds ice, shakes and strains it back into the same glass. She hands it to you for first taste.
You sniff it before trying.
“It has such a nice froth.”
“That’s the egg whites.” She grins widely. “So yeah?”
“I think so. Maybe something interesting for a garnish, but I’ll leave that to you and your experts.”
She chuckles before trying the cocktail herself. “Mmmm. Yeah. I like it.” She points to the bottles. “How much?”
“Oh…you can price the drinks. I need to figure out cost and supply. I was just daydreaming in my kitchen.”
The door opens and Hyunjin returns.
“I think he’s ready to go home,” he tells you as he passes by to go behind the bar where his partner is. He pauses at the drinks. “New?”
She eagerly offers them both to him, explaining each. He sips both, enjoying both sets of flavors, but you notice how he watches her as she continues to suggest maybe a food pairing with the chai cognac. His eyes are incredibly fond and warm.
People in love are both beautiful and annoying.
“He’s right,” you interrupt. “Amadeus and I should probably head back. Let me know final thoughts, okay?” You start to stand up from the bar stool when the door opens again.
“You know there’s a wolf outside, right?”
The voice is unfamiliar and highly concerned, and the brightness of the outside light let in means you can’t see the newcomer for several seconds. It’s a voice with a raspy quality, like the beginnings of winter have already dried out his throat.
“Seo?” is the first response. From Hyunjin who with Muddy Water’s owner are staring at the person like he’s a ghost.
He doesn’t seem ghost-like. He seems incredibly solid. Broad in the shoulders, you get the sense that he carries more than just his own physical weight. It’s an immediate thought, one you have knowing you know nothing about this person, but it’s there nonetheless.
“Changbin,” she says before moving out from behind the bar to walk up to him. The man’s face softens as she gets close, a relaxing of his entire posture.
“Hey little Park.”
She hugs him, tight and without any sort of hesitation. You relax as well, not even realizing that his intrusion made you watchful, tense.
“What are you doing here?” she asks as she lets go of him. You watch as Hyunjin also rounds the bar to greet the stranger.
You take their distraction as a blessing, and slip by the three as they chat quietly. You feel his eyes swept over you, an awareness that you are there and leaving.
Amadeus is up on all fours when you get outside.
“Did you scare him?” you ask before starting down the steps, back the way you came. Amadeus gives no clear answer, but you think your companion trots a little too giddily.
—
It’s a relief to see her like this. Still in her element, but beyond bright, healthy and happy. Changbin glances up to see Hyunjin eyeing him in a very familiar way: amiable, but certainly skeptical.
It’s been awhile, but Hwang hasn’t lost his syndicate instincts. Changbin wouldn’t expect him to.
“I’m on vacation,” he replies to her question, focusing back on the girl he’s known since middle school. When he found himself running alongside the rest of them: Lee, Bang, and Han. The rest had been around the syndicate for awhile, families intertwined, but Changbin just stumbled into their world. “I’ve accrued a bit too much time off, so they’re kinda forcing me to get lost.” He hopes his smile covers anything that might make either of them suspicious. “And well, Jeju is where my favorite Park lives. Wanted to make sure he,” he nods at Hyunjin, “was treating you right.”
Even being on the outskirts of the organization, it was obvious to him how Hwang felt about the former president’s daughter. It was after the fact that Hwang stepped down that Changbin found out about it, but it hadn’t taken much of his investigative skills to find where the two ended up.
Which concerned him.
“Knew you weren’t here to see me,” Hwang retorts, tugging her close to his side.
“Sure? You’ve always been pretty,” Changbin responds with a wink at the taller man. “Kinda missed that face.”
He gets an exasperated sigh and eye-roll, which tells him that Hwang has definitely eased a little. Which is what Changbin needs right now.
She grabs him by the wrist, leading him to the bar. He follows, looking around, taking in the patrons, the set-up. It’s very different than Circus in Busan, but the vibe still feels like the two of them, just planted elsewhere.
He sits on a stool as she sits next to him, Hwang stealing around the bar.
“Beer?”
“Is no one really concerned about the wolf outside?” Jeju has natural wildlife, of course, but a wolf was not something Changbin, nor any Korean he guessed, expected to run into.
“Oh!” She laughs and looks about. “I guess she left. It’s her dog.”
When he’d entered there had been only one other woman that wasn’t his old friend, or the young bartender at the far end of the bar. She’d swept by him in the midst of his reunion and he’d noticed. Mostly due to the fact that she wore a modernized, simple hanbok - traditional wear in a place that felt all but traditional.
“Her dog?” Changbin repeated. “It was a wolf.”
She looks at Hwang. “Is it a wolf?”
“I’ve never asked,” he replies, setting out a glass of water for Changbin. “He could be.”
“His name is Amadeus and Hyunjin is half in love with him.”
There’s a scoff, but Hwang nods in agreement. “Beer?” he asks Changbin. “Or are you on–”
Changbin shakes his head immediately. He doesn’t want people to know what he does for a living. People treat you one way when they believe you’re just a regular person. They treat you another way when they know you’re a cop.
“Just whatever you have on tap,” Changbin says before looking back at the woman next to him. “Amadeus…Like Mozart? Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?”
Her eyes widen. “Oh my god, I never even thought of that.” She glances at Hyunjin who places two pints on the bar. “Did you know that?”
“I mean, kinda, but I wasn’t thinking Wolfgang…like wolf.” He grins. “Sounds like her, though.”
Changbin shakes his head at their agreement, intrigued by this detour of conversation, but knowing he needs to stay on track. He takes a sip of the pint, the bitter flavor doing wonders for his exhaustion. It’s not a long trip from Busan to Jeju, but his fatigue has more to do with what came before he left.
“How….” she begins but falters for a second, glancing around at the space as though someone is paying attention, like someone could hear. “How is everyone?”
Changbin takes another swallow of beer. He knew she’d ask, or one of them would. Her trepidation on talking about it is a stark reminder that there is freedom for her and Hwang, but it doesn’t erase the past.
He nods. “Good.” He smiles at her as warmly as possible. “Pretty much the same. But we should have dinner or something if you want details.” Private. Safe.
Surely Jeju has safe places to discuss dodgy histories.
She nods, absorbing what he isn’t saying. He misses the openness of her expression just moments before. Hwang watches her before looking at Changbin. He nods too, unspoken understanding. As he goes to tend to another customer, Changbin sees Hwang rub his arm absently. Despite the long shirt as it is drifting into winter, Changbin knows what is there.
Or what was there.
His own arm itches as though it reflects Hwang’s, but Changbin dismisses any physical action to soothe it. It’s in his head.
She reaches out to place her hand on his forearm. He meets her eyes.
“I’ve missed you.”
It’s dark in the bar and he’s grateful because he knows he blushes at her words and sincerity. Doesn’t matter that it was a brief and superficial crush, the daughter of his first boss would always be special to him.
He raises his eyebrows to deflect. “Yeah? Hwang that unsatisfying?”
She pinches him and he yelps, which just makes her laugh. It’s nice to hear her laugh. Those last weeks and days before she left had dimmed her brightness. She looks and sounds like she used to. Before the loss of her father. Before everything had gone down with Bobby.
He stiffens at the reminder, even if it’s only in his head and she’s not in there, thank god.
“He came for me,” she says as softly as someone can in a bar before it gets hit with the after-work crowd. “He left–” she makes a hand gesture that would mean nothing, but he knows. “For me.”
When had he become confidante?
“He beat me to it.”
She rolls her eyes, their banter back in play. He nurses his beer as she regales him of what he’s missed since she left; mostly about the bar and this village. He’s grinning and chuckling, but some part of him still prods at him about why he’s here.
And why he isn’t telling her.
It’s dinner time and they make plans to meet up tomorrow for a more personal chat. Hwang comes by to reassure that he’s coming too. He’s no threat, Hwang knows this, but it’s too easy to needle the other, especially about her, so Changbin lets out a long-suffering sigh as he finishes his beer.
As he gets up to head back to his hotel room, he notices the glasses of some mixed something. He points to them.
“Oh! You should try.”
“Are you poisoning me?”
“Not yet.”
He’s still cautious when he tries one. It’s sweeter than he tends to, but the spice of it is nice. He tries the other; cognac isn’t something he’s had since he was sixteen and wanted to drink whatever he could get his underage hands on.
“Not bad.”
She goes on to explain what is in the two drinks, including the other woman’s role in concocting.
“The woman with the wolf?”
She rolls her eyes. “Yes, her.”
Changbin sips the first drink again. “It’s pretty good.”
“She owns the tea shop about a kilometer from here. I mean, it’s the only tea shop within like fifty kilometers. Unless you buy your tea at the grocer like a peasant.”
He chuckles at her words, gives her a quick ‘see you later’ hug and heads back out. He looks over to where he first saw the wolf-or-dog before he jogs down the steps to the street and sidewalk. He can hear the ocean as he reminds himself how to get back to his hotel.
The people milling about, both on foot and in car seem like locals. At this point in the year, it’s unlikely many main-landers would venture to the small island.
As Changbin walks along the road, hands deep in his pockets, he hopes his assumption is true. And if anyone does show up, it’ll be obvious.
Away from their natural habitat, the underbelly of Busan would stick out. And he could neutralize the threat before it ever got near Muddy Water’s owner and her partner, formerly of the Park Syndicate.
That’s why he was here.

OPM Manga Update 247 Review
I was puzzled as to why the translation for this was listed as a redraw, as the previous chapters had covered the entirety of the ninja arc to date before the hiatus. Then I realised that it was the numbering foolishness messing with the translators. EH! Not my problem. Shall we go on?
Summary
The chapter opens with Suiryu being discharged from hospital. He's been given a huge bouquet by the nurses and wished a speedy return to hospital, something he understandably has no plan to do. As he makes his way down the road, his attention is attracted by screaming, which turns out to be coming from a woman about to be eaten by a monster giant anteater. He splits it in half with a single chop, noting with satisfaction that his strength has returned.
He turns back to the business at hand, that of finding the Hero Association and Saitama, and is surprised that every online search for 'hero' brings up the Neo Heroes. Things have definitely changed... but he doesn't have much time to muse on it for he is nearly flattened by the enormous head of what had been a much bigger monster giant anteater. Could Saitama be out here? No, the person who'd sent the monster's head flying was an idol. She introduced herself as Webigaza, and that she was back from her hiatus to work as a Neo Hero as well as sing. She pauses to take a deep drink of water -- she's thirsty -- and then encourages people to support the Neo Heroes before flying off.
Suiryu stares after her like a cat seeing baubles hung up on a Christmas tree. Come to that, maybe he's a little thirsty too. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to check out the opposition first... after all, he can quit right away. Elsewhere, we see an unamused Suiko surprised that her brother has discharged himself without telling her. Her concern quickly turns to outrage when she reads the note he's left for her and realises that he's stuck her with the bill.
He's just the nicest guy, isn't he?
Suiryu arrives at the Neo Hero tower and is quickly ushered into the testing facilities. With difficulty, he gets squeezed into a power suit, all while muttering to himself about how uncool it'd make him if he approached that girl looking like that.
Once on though, he feels the enormous surge of power it brings. Excited, he flexes, and the suit crumbles like a badly-baked biscuit. Worse, he now need to pay for it. Five million, which is more than the three million he earned in the Superfight.
If you break it, you've bought it. Love the detail of Suiryu flexing hard enough to break his remaining armband.
The chapter closes with a weeping Suiryu being introduced to Metal Bat. He's stuck in Neo Heroes until he can earn enough to pay off his debts.
Oh yeah, one final detail. Has McCoy handed in his notice before he started moonlighting for the Neo Heroes? He better have, the rat!
Phew, thank goodness this wasn't longer! Shall we do some meta?
Meta
We're a week on, so the outraged whines of fans expecting a showdown between Blast and Void have died down. It's totally par for the course. All I will say is this:
If you were around when this chapter (chapter 67) was first posted, you'll know that it was well over a year (in chapter 77) that we got to find out what happened.
Yup, ONE reserves the right to go 'Meanwhile...' and go somewhere else, sometimes for extended periods of time. Deal with it.
Saturation Bombing
Well, now we're back to the Neo Hero storyline, and man, when they launched, they launched HARD. They've sopped up all the SEO real estate to crowd the Hero Association off the first page of the search engines. Their TV and billboard ads are everywhere. They've even bought up the storefronts around around their headquarters. And all in the space of days. The wallets bankrolling this venture must be abyssally deep (I will return to this in a sec).
A leopard doesn't change his spots
I won't lie: Suiryu is the character I've had the most trouble seeing the point of. I've tried, but I'm still of the opinion that this lazy, feckless, superficially charming, and not-at-all-nice guy gets given way too much real estate. Well, he may be serious about wanting to be a hero but he's still as feckless as he ever was. Yes, he won a considerable sum of money just before being hospitalised and so had no chance to spend it. Yet, true to his nature, he fucks off and sticks his sister with the bill. And true to his nature, he decides to take a pass at an idol (someone who will have hell to pay if she's even thought to be dating), fully intending to cut and run as soon as he gets what he's chasing after. Well, the wheels were always going to come off sooner or later. Might as well be now. Good.
Chef's Kiss
I know that many people were a bit disturbed to find how... normal Webigaza looks but I think it's FANTASTIC. Why? Well, a slightly creepy idol isn't everyone's cup of tea, but they'd be someone's shot of whiskey, unusual and thus not interchangeable. It's a recognisable brand she'd have been able to build on. That worked *against* Webigaza's stated desperation to stand out and gain lasting fame.
Anyone into the 'creepy doll' look really, really is into it, and won't be substituting them for another.
By making her an absolutely normal-looking idol, loveable but totally replaceable, Murata has understood the brief. I can 100% believe that this Webi is desperate to be different in some lasting way when she looks exactly the same as a dozen other idols. I can 100% believe her when she's obsessed with Sweet Mask and wants what he has when she knows that the crowd that cheers for her today will cheer just as enthusiastically next year for someone who looks and sounds almost exactly like her. That she'll be forgotten despite having poured her entire life into entertaining. And that she'd rather die than see it happen.
Because she looks generic, it makes sense that she's painfully aware of how replaceable she is.
This works. This really, really works.
Let's talk cash, pt. 1: suits of contention
As many sharp-eyed readers have noticed, that suit that Suiryu got given looks awfully familiar. It's a dead ringer for the ones that Tongara's team got given by Narinki.
And once those suits hulked out...
... they looked an awful lot like the ones Hammerhead's crew got their hands on.
No prizes for guessing that this Neo Hero thing is most probably a front for one of the most successful conspiracies in fiction, The Organization. Successful because they're able to work to achieve their aims without anyone blabbing prematurely.
Let's talk cash, pt. 2: debtor's jail
It probably shouldn't surprise us too much that Suiryu is in such good shape after leaving hospital. After all, it wasn't just any hospital he went to but a Hero Hospital, a place where exceptional effort is expended in healing people rapidly. Also a very costly place, as McCoy pointed out to Mad Devil Yankee.
The drop of realism that sells the fantasy harder: yes, there's medicine and technology to heal up incredible injuries and illnesses super fast. But the price is steep!
Oh yeah, the apparent throwaway is becoming quite relevant now. I wonder if someone will point out to Suiko that joining the Hero Association would be a quick way to discharge her brother's medical debt?
I wouldn't mind this brewing Neo Hero saga to stick around a little longer. But I'm easy -- I've long since stopped expecting a particular thing to happen at a given time. All will be well in the end.
#OPM#review#meta#Suiryu#Neo Heroes#Webigaza#McCoy#wow the Neo Heroes are on an extreme charm offensive#the Hero Association has its work cut out to even get heard#I'm enjoying watching Suiryu becoming a Neo Hero happen as a consequence of who he is#nice to see the various bits all fitting together

Animals Without Direction Descriptions
Hello everyone! I figured a master post on how I see each of the members for Animals Without Direction would be smart this way we're all on the same page.
Each of these aesthetic pictures are a rough description of their outfits. They're not exact by any means. Take each one with a grain of salt. Most of the pictures are a lot fancier/over the top than how I see them.
Bang Chan
Jarl of Miroh
I always picture Chan with his natural curly hair as the Jarl. He's always put together but has a very relaxed air and vibe to him.
If he's ever wearing his armor, it's simple, yet very regal-- he is the ruler of the land after all. But most of the time that we see him, he's in a casual tunic and slacks.
Lee Minho
Jarl's Advisor
I went back and forth on Minho's hair for this fic for a bit. But I settled on his longer brown hair. Specifically his brown hair that hangs in front of his eyes a bit rather than parted in the center.
Minho is always put together in this fic. You will not catch him in casual clothing. He is always in darker armor/fancy tunics. He takes his job as Chan's advisor extremely seriously.
Seo Changbin
Commander
Very much your typical Changbin look for this fic! (I'll take any excuse to post the right pic of Changbin, look at those biceps DAMN.)
I always had this specific armor look in my mind for Changbin; I need this man's biceps out in battle. I can only picture the Skyrim Steel Armor when I write him in this fic, I can't help it. Additionally, I just know he would have beautiful gauntlets on his forearms.
Hwang Hyunjin
Court Mage
Hyunjin's MAMA hair is just SO Elven I cannot get over it. His appearance was the easiest for me to settle on. Look at him in these pictures and tell me he doesn't look like a fire mage.
Hyunjin's always in red mage robes with fancy clothes underneath. Like Minho, he is always put together. There's never a wrinkle to be seen in his clothing. Picture something like this but with a hood as well.
Han Jisung
Court Diplomat
Fluffy brown haired Han Jisung has me in a death grip. I keep leaning back and forth between a darker or lighter brown, so just imagine somewhere in between these two looks for him. In his more relaxed moments, his hair will be on the curlier side.
As the court diplomat, he typically is just in fancy clothes that show off his status. You'll never see Jisung in armor, he doesn't really know how to fight nor does his position require any fighting skill.
Lee Felix
Court Healer
Blond mullet Felix says 'Elven' the same way Hyunjin's MAMA look does. Add the blue contacts on top of that and it's perfect for this story.
Felix's wears restoration school robes during the day and while he's working in the Healing Ward. But when he's not 'working' he's in a casual tunic and trousers like Chan usually is.
Kim Seungmin
Court Rogue/Assassin
Another look I went back and forth on, but I settled here. I thought about it a lot, but typically when I think about him in these scenes, he has his choppy bangs that hang over his eyes.
Now, his rogue armor in my mind does have a lot of embellishments/leather straps/buckles. I know he himself usually goes for plain outfits and clothes, but he's also very practical and knows what he needs when he goes out on jobs. He needs all those pockets and hidden sleeves for items.
Yang Jeongin
Jarl's Squire
Jeongin in the story has that boyish handsomeness to him that you can't quite put into words. He's not a child anymore by any means, he's grown and an official squire to the Jarl but he still has his naïve moments as he's still learning.
Jeongin's usual armor in the training yard is something more casual and easy to move in; something you would see most guards wear. But then, in battle, his armor is definitely something more eye catching and elegant. He has to show off his status among the other soldiers.

Can you pleaseee do (g)i-dle reactions to y/n giving lap dance to other member??? Like what would they do, gice her a punishment or just fuck her until she can't walk anymore??
Ask and you shall eventually receive dear anon.✌️
1. Jeon Soyeon
She definitely was shooting hard glares at you as your hips moved sensually on Yuqi’s lap. She watched as Yuqi’s hands held your hips guiding them.
Now here you were. On the bed face buried in a pillow as she roughly fucked you from behind with her strap.
Usually you loved this because she would make you orgasm again and again, but Soyeon caught on to that. As much as she loved watching you orgasm again and again, she decided to punish you a…different way.
Every time she felt as if you were getting close to your orgasm or were on the brink of cumming. She would pull out immediately listening and smirking at your whines and please. She would move to her fingers, tongue, and then eventually back to her strap.
Each time you were close to finishing she’d pull out. You were crying and begging at this point, only wanting to cum.
Eventually she decided to let you cum, and when you did you let out a chorus of broken moans and sobs muttering multiple thank yous.
2. Cho Miyeon
Miyeon doesn’t even hide her jealousy. You were sitting there on Minnie’s lap grinding your hips against hers as Minnie watched you with a smile.
Miyeon knew you were doing it to make her jealous but she knew just how she would punish you.
You were sitting on the bed made to watch her fingers go in out of her as you whined wanting desperately to touch her.
You loved all the sounds she was making but you were getting frustrated as you rubbed your thighs together.
She threw her head back as she felt her approaching orgasm. Her fingers going faster , pretty moans falling from her lip.
Every time you reached out to even try and touch her she’d swat your hand or push you off her.
You whined and whimpered pathetically as you watched her pleasure herself moaning your name.
With a final moan her orgasm hit her like a wave. Her juices coating her fingers as tears of frustration welled in your eyes. You looked at her practically begging for her to let you touch her gorgeous body.
Miyeon smirked as she began again. Still not allowing you to touch her.
3. Kim Minnie / Nicha Yontarak
Jealousy burned in her eyes as she watched how your hips moved against Miyeon’s as you gave her a lap dance. Her fists were clenched as her nails dug into her palms.
She didn’t care if it was just to make her jealous, she was gonna make you pay for it.
You were on the bed whimpering and whining with a book in front of you legs spread wide as you were basically put on display for anyone who were to walk in.
Minnie was in between your legs as she held a vibrator to your clit looking at you.
“Don’t mess up. Try again.”
She turned up the setting on the vibrator making you moan as you tried to restart the page you were reading.
Every time you stuttered in the middle of reading the book she would u turn the vibrator another setting, if she thought you were about to cum she would remove the vibrator slapping your clit.
You moaned again as she turned it up another setting. You were begging her to let you cum but she shook her head slapping your clit.
Her face went close to your ear making you whine as you felt her warm breath against your ear.
“Read the fucking book.”
4. Seo Soojin
Soojin didn’t know what was worse.
You giving Shuhua a lap dance I front of her on stage or you glancing at her as you would place kisses to shuhua’s cheeks.
She wasn’t even hiding her jealousy as she couldn’t wait til she could have you alone.
She watched as you talked to NEVERLAND on Vlive. Only showing your face and not your lower half as you laid in bed.
She was currently in between your legs sucking and licking on your clit as you tried your best to talk to your fans without moaning.
Anytime you would stutter or stop talking she’d harshly flick your clit or slap your thigh, making you bite your lip.
She held your legs open not allowing you to close them as she her tongue went faster going in and out of you.
She looked up at your face as you smiled talking to your fans answering the comments.
Your vision began to blur as you felt your orgasm coming close. She pulled away not wanting you to cum yet as she replaced her tongue with her fingers.
If you wanted to be a slut in front of everyone she was only gonna let you orgasm on her accord.
It is fair after all ;)
5. Song Yuqi
Yuqi hated watching you give Soyeon a lap dance. The way you effortlessly grinded your hips against her made her want to scream.
She was smiling on the outside but on the inside she already knew what she was gonna do.
Yuqi was making you pleasure yourself with your own fingers as she watched.
You whined as you me frustration grew. She knew you couldn’t make yourself cum without her help which is she refused to help you only watching with a smirk.
Despite your whines and pleas for her to please help you she shook her head smirking.
“You were such a white for Soyeon earlier. Why don’t you be a whore now and make yourself cum.”
Tears of frustration streamed down your face as you could feel your orgasm approaching but it wasn’t gonna happen.
Not without Yuqi. Who had no plans of letting you cum til she said so.
6. Yeh Shuhua
To say she was mad and jealous was understatement.
Soojin held your hips as you moved them against hers slowly and seductively.
She wanted to rip you off of her but she let you continue glaring at the 2 of you the whole time.
Now here she was, refusing to do any work as she made you pleasure her.
She knew how much you loved when she moaned no doubt your panties were soaked, your pussy aching for her. She didn’t care.
If you were gonna be a slut she might as well make you pleasure her right?
She held your head in place burying your face in her cunt as she moved her hips against your tongue as she cried out.
When she orgasmed making you swallow all her cum she looked at you. Your lips were glistening from yet another one of her orgasms from the night.
You desperately wanted her to pleasure you but she smirked as she spread her legs even more making you finger her as she watched you whimper while she degraded you.

How to Research Pt. 1 - Google-Fu
Alright. I have decided to make a little tutorial in how to use different ways to access information, especially scientific information. The reason for this is, that... Well, research has found that a lot of Gen Z and especially Gen Alpha struggle with doing online research, mostly due to being so used to use the internet via Apps. And having had to do a research project at university, where my fellow students massively struggled to find anything on the requested topic.
So... Let me start with the most obvious topic: Google.
Funnily enough I gotta say, that even a lot of my fellow Millenials struggle with google. Mind you, Google has become a lot less user-friendly over the years. Ten years ago it was a lot easier to google stuff, because Google pushed less advertisement.
It should be said, that these techniques also work with most non-google search engines. So, let me go through it.
How to Google
For reasons the question I will use to demonstrate this entire thing will be: "How many biological sexes are there?" Just because I had to show research on this in online discussions too often. (Me, that is, as an intersex individuum.)
The most intuitive way would probably be to directly ask google.
Now, on the first glance the results of this search do not look that bad.
Again, I am intersex. I am definitely not a male or female based on my biology. And obviously, as such I have read quite a bit on the topic before.
Now. One of the things you need to do, when doing research, is to be able to judge a source.
Scientific American is somewhat reliable as a starting point, but it is popscience, hence you should definitely not cite it if there is any other way.
The NIH is usually a reliable source. But, if you just look into the preview text (or read the abstract on the side) you will find, that the scientist completely just mixes through sex, gender and sexuality. Which... might not make for the best source.
The next one - from the Arizona State University - also is a bit too much on the gender part, and too little on the sex part. And if you look at the preview, you will also find something else there: Google has marked "gender" as an "exact result" by using bold fonts.
And lastly we have a result that is the private blog of some economics guy. Which... might not be a good source for this.
And if you scroll just a bit further down, you will find openly trans- and interphobic sites like Women UK and Emma.
This is the point where you should realize two things:
Maybe we should change the search
You really gotta be careful with what pages get brought up, when you use your google-fu.
See, here is the thing. Why in the nine hells is the 4th (!!!) result of the search some private blog of some dude? I can tell you: Google is basing the results partly on the SEO of the pages. And it just turns out that some economics blokes are actually really good at SEO stuff. That is search engine optimization.
Other than that, Google also basing stuff on traffic and how many people clicked at what link and probably some other stuff that us normal mortals will never understand.
So, how can you change the results? Well, you use the tools that google gives you.
Using " around a group of words or a single word tells google, that you want this exact group of words in the result and no variation of it.
Using - in front of a word or a group of words marked with " before means that you want to exclude these results.
And using * somewhere means, that a word can end differently and you will still accept it.
So, what have we learned from the other results before? Well, for one: We should definitely tell google, that we want to know about biological sex, not about gender. So we should probably mark "biologial sex" as an exact group. It probably would help also to include something like "intersex" because that way we give google something to go off on. Lastly: A lot of supposedly "feminist" sites will actually push their TERFy agenda. So, to exclude them, I will tag this search also as -"women's rights". And because I am not interested in someone's blog, I will also use -blog.
Hence we get the search term:
And look at the results I am getting:
Now, this might not be perfect - but it is much more like what I was looking for, right?
So, that is a quick primer on how to google-fu.
Tomorrow I am gonna talk a bit about Wikipedia.

The Other Works of “The New Employee” Director Kim Jho Gwang Soo ***Mild Spoilers Ahead***
Given that I am currently LOVING Korea’s newest office-set BL The New Employee, I thought others might be interested to explore the other works of this darling show’s director, Kim Jho Gwang Soo. Here I am going to focus on projects that he screenwrote and/or directed as those are his queer works. Many of them are available on Gagaoolala.
Who is Kim Jho Gwang Soo? As outlined in his MyDramaList biography, he is an openly gay South Korean filmmaker. After collaborating with another openly gay director named Lee Song Hee Il’s 2006 film “No Regret” (regarded as Korea’s first gay feature film), he began to write and direct his own projects, as well as work as a producer.
I realized after starting the New Employee that I have seen almost all of Kim Jho Gwang Soo’s works that he has directed or written without knowing it was all by him, so I wanted to give a little rundown of his projects so other people can discover them as well! Synopses are going to be from MDL and the title of each film will be the link to its MDL page.
NOTE: This summary will contain some mild spoilers for the purpose of trigger warnings!! However, this post is also going off my memory and I have not watched everything recently so I apologize if I miss any warnings! I will also give a blanket content warning for homophobia. Most of his past works are not really set in the new Korean-BL world where homophobia barely exists so it is a theme in most, but not all, of his other projects.
Boy Meets Boy (2008) - Short film, Director & Screenwriter
Synopsis: On a warm spring day Min-soo, a small boy, meets tall and broad-shouldered Seok-yi inside a bus. Min-soo keeps looking at the intimidating boy whose sharp eyes are hidden under his baseball cap. Min-soo's heart starts beating. What will happen to Min-soo and Seok-i?
Thoughts: Super cute short film that the synopsis basically sums up. Not a lot happens but it sure is adorable. Happy ending.
Just Friends? (2009) - Short film, Director & Screenwriter
Synopsis: Min Soo is on leave from the military and visits his boyfriend Seok Yi. While having fun out on the town, they run into Min Soo's mother! When Min Soo's mother asks about their relationship, Seok Yi replies "... just friends." Making things more complicated, Min Soo's mother ends up sleeping with them that night!
Thoughts: My personal favorite of his pre-TNE works. Stars (now-well-known) actors Lee Je Hoon and Yeon Woo Jin. This is one of my favorite short films of all time. A succinct and satisfying story in under 30 minutes, fantastic chemistry, adorable couple moments, and family drama. It is also a follow up to Boy Meets Boy, but it’s not necessary to watch that one to understand and enjoy this one! Happy ending, but some angst thrown in beforehand.
Love 100C (2010) - Short film, Director & Screenwriter
TW: homophobic violence
Synopsis: A hearing-impaired boy, Min Soo, is gay, and he likes his classmate, Ji Seok. One day, Min Soo impulsively has sex with a man who works in a public bath, an experience that lends him a new-found confidence, but at a heavy price.
Thoughts: This is a pretty big departure from his first two short films, while it is happy for a bit of it, the film explores the danger of living in a homophobic society. Ultimately it is a film about sexual self discovery as well as how queer people are often robbed of safe and healthy self discovery because of violence inflicted upon them. Definitely NOT a happy ending.
Two Weddings and a Funeral (2012) - Full-length film, Director
TW: death, homophobic violence
Synopsis: A gay man, Min Soo and a lesbian, Hyo Jin are both promising doctors at a general hospital. The colleagues agree to marry so Hyo Jin can legally adopt a child with her lover of ten years Seo Yeong, and Min Soo can please his parents while maintaining his closeted lifestyle. While secretly living with their respective partners, who move in next door, Min Soo and Hyo Jin appear to be a happy, "normal" couple. They enjoy all the benefits afforded to heterosexual couples and are also able to ward off public scrutiny and parental disapproval. However, Min Soo's intrusive parents begin to get a bit too involved with the couple's life, threatening their scheme.
Thoughts: There are parts of this movie I really enjoy. It was great to have both a gay and lesbian couple in the film and a lot of the film revolved around the gay lead’s group of gay friends. There was also a lot of playing with Korean honorifics within the friend group that I found really cool to listen to. However, I didn’t love how the most fem gay character was treated throughout the film and it was quite shocking in a bad way at some points, given that it is supposed to be a romantic comedy. A happy ending, but at what cost, lol.
One Night Only (2014) - Short film, Director
I think this is actually two short films released together, but I have only seen the second part “One Night” and not the first part “Night Bug,” so I am going to focus on “One Night.”
Synposis: Geun Ho is almost hit by a car. At that time, Joon, who is visiting Jinju from Seoul, saves Geun Ho. They happen to meet at a bar later that night. Geun Ho and his friends goes to Seoul with Joon.
Thoughts: It has been ages since I watched this one, but I think I mostly liked it. Not really a happy ending, but as far as I can remember does not contain violence in the way that some of his other works do. While the MDL synopsis doesn’t mention it, the film actually focuses both on Geun Ho as well as his 2 friends, not only Geun Ho.
Made on the Rooftop (2021) - Full length film, Director
TW: serious medical issues.
Synopsis: Ha Neul, a job seeker who has nowhere to go after breaking up with his lover, Jung Min, moves to the house of his best friend Bong Shik, who lives in a tiny room. Bong Shik working as a BJ with a high tension + one-person broadcasting concept is courted by Min Ho, an attractive straight-forward man, but somehow just hesitates. Ha Neul and Jung Min try to reconcile, but they only go against each other and unintentionally hurt each other. One day, Jung-min is in a car accident and Ha Neul has to bring back Ari, the cat they used to raise together.
Thoughts: I really loved this movie. Focuses on two friends and their respective romantic lives. Deals with the realities of being in a closeted gay relationship with no legal rights when there is medical emergency, coming out to family, HIV, etc. It is also genuinely really funny and, at many times, incredibly sweet and heartwarming. One couple has a complete happy ending and the other has an open/unresolved but hopeful ending. I would definitely recommend.
I hope anyone who sees this considers checking out these films. Most (if not all) are available on Gagaoolala, but you can likely find them other places as well (but please support legitimate streaming if you’re able)!! Also who else can’t wait for the next episode of The New Employee?

is copywriting a good job to look into as a writer? im job hunting and i see quite a few openings online but im worried the work will be extremely dreary
i didnt set out to be a copywriter -- frankly when i graduated i had no idea what i wanted to do. i spent about three and a half years freelancing and doing gig work and i'd make like 140 bucks a month on a good year. i happened to apply for a copywriting job among a sea of other entry level things -- social media coordinator, communications associate etc. and i feel SOOOOO fucking blessed that i fell into copywriting
in terms of money: copywriting is very lucrative if you get the experience for it and stay the course. my very first position with no prior copywriting experience (just freelance writing experience) paid me 35/hr. starting off you'll probably make about 50k but moving up the hierarchy can pay a LOT. with four years of experience, during my job hunt i would say the vast majority of the positions i interviewed were within a six figure salary band. moving up the hierarchy, lots of senior copywriters make six figs, and some associate creative directors make over 200k. you can definitely live comfortably as a career copywriter if you play your cards right.
in terms of work: personally i love copywriting, but it's an arm of marketing. if you cant stomach writing marketing materials or learning how marketing works, it might not be for you, but i kinda make it into a game in my head. there's a lot of different kinds of copy -- short form (landing pages, social media blurbs, headlines, emails, product descriptions etc) and long form (white papers, SEO articles/blog posts, ebooks). i would aim to find a copywriting position that will have a wide scope of copy types, because that helps cultivate a well-rounded resume (i.e. shoot for a job that'll have you writing landing pages, emails and blog posts etc over one that's just headlines and captions).
there is also B2C (business to customer, as in marketing a consumer product to individuals) and B2B (business to business, as in marketing a product like mailchimp to a business). i mostly do B2C, but I also do B2B now. it's fine to start with just one, but i'd say right now demand is very high for B2B
the good thing about copywriting is that basically any industry requires it in some capacity. i've worked predominantly in entertainment and digital media, but right now i'd say the biggest demand is in healthcare, fintech and SaaS (software). i freelance for a telehealth company right now in part because i want to make my portfolio more well-rounded. but as i said, nearly any industry can need one -- hospitality, beauty, fashion, retail, nonprofits, anything that is a business that needs to be advertised. when i started, i worked in television, which meant my days largely consisted of watching shows before air and writing episode descriptions. i had a lot of fun!
personally, i dont find my work dreary. sometimes it can be a LITTLE tedious if i'm writing something more technical/internal, but the whole point of copywriting is to figure out how to entice someone to check something out, which means puzzling out how to write something fun and engaging. if you want something less marketing-focused, i would look into getting into technical writing. this is basically writing informational texts and guides for technology and similar things. it pays VERY well and is usually in high demand, but i will say it's definitely more tedious than copywriting.
in short: yes i love copywriting and you can be very financially stable in it! i'd argue it's one of the most financially comfortable day jobs for someone with writing experience. happy hunting anon!!!! i hope u get what ur after

Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an essential aspect of digital marketing. It involves optimizing web pages to improve their visibility on search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. As businesses increasingly move online, understanding SEO becomes crucial for attracting organic traffic and staying competitive. In this blog, we'll explore what SEO is, its key components, strategies for implementation, and answers to some frequently asked questions.
Understanding SEO
Definition of SEO
SEO is the practice of enhancing a website’s structure and content to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs). It focuses on increasing both the quantity and quality of organic traffic. By improving visibility, businesses can connect with potential customers actively searching for their products or services.
The Importance of SEO
With millions of websites on the internet, standing out is vital. Most users tend to click on the first few results on a search engine. If your site is not optimized, you risk losing potential customers to competitors who rank higher. Effective SEO can lead to increased visibility, more traffic, and higher conversion rates.
Key Components of SEO
SEO consists of several components, which can be broadly categorized into three main areas: on-page SEO, off-page SEO, and technical SEO.
On-Page SEO
On-page SEO refers to the strategies applied directly to the website itself. Key elements include:
Content Quality: Quality content is essential for engaging users and satisfying search intent. Using keywords strategically helps search engines understand your content’s relevance.
Keyword Optimization: Identifying and using relevant keywords is crucial. Understanding what your audience searches for helps you create targeted content.
Meta Tags: Titles and meta descriptions provide a summary of your web pages. Optimizing these tags helps improve click-through rates from search results.
Off-Page SEO
Off-page SEO involves activities conducted outside your website to improve its authority and reputation. Key strategies include:
Backlinks: Acquiring links from reputable sites boosts your website's credibility. Search engines view backlinks as endorsements, which can enhance your rankings.
Social Media Engagement: Sharing your content on social platforms increases visibility and drives traffic to your website. Active engagement can lead to more shares and backlinks.
Technical SEO
Technical SEO focuses on the backend of your website. Key elements include:
Site Speed: A fast-loading site enhances user experience and improves search rankings. Google prioritizes sites that load quickly.
Mobile Friendliness: With the rise of mobile browsing, having a responsive design is crucial. A mobile-friendly site ensures users can access content on any device.
Secure Website (HTTPS): Security is a top priority for search engines. Implementing HTTPS can improve your ranking and build trust with users.
SEO Strategies for Implementation
Implementing effective SEO strategies can significantly impact your online presence. Here are some actionable tips:
Conduct Keyword Research
Identify relevant keywords that your target audience is searching for. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or SEMrush to discover popular search terms. Focus on long-tail keywords, which often have less competition and higher conversion rates.
Create High-Quality Content
Content is king in the world of SEO. Regularly publish valuable, informative, and engaging content that answers your audience's questions. Incorporate the keyword “what is entertainment” naturally into your content, maintaining a keyword density of 1 to 3%. This helps attract users interested in various entertainment topics.
Optimize Your Website’s Structure
A well-structured website enhances user experience and makes it easier for search engines to crawl. Use clear headings, logical categories, and a user-friendly URL structure. Ensure that your site is easy to navigate, which keeps visitors engaged.
Build Backlinks
Invest time in building quality backlinks from reputable sources. Guest blogging, collaborations, and outreach can help you acquire valuable links. The more authoritative sites link to you, the more credible your site becomes in the eyes of search engines.
Monitor and Analyze Performance
Regularly analyze your website's performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Track metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rates, and keyword rankings. Adjust your strategies based on data insights to continually improve your SEO efforts.
Common SEO Myths
Despite its importance, many misconceptions about SEO persist. Here are a few common myths debunked:
SEO is a One-Time Task
Many believe that SEO is a one-time effort. In reality, SEO requires ongoing attention. Search engine algorithms change frequently, so continuous optimization is necessary to maintain and improve rankings.
H3: More Keywords Mean Better Rankings
While keywords are essential, stuffing your content with them can harm your rankings. Quality over quantity matters. Focus on creating valuable content that naturally incorporates keywords.
Social Media Doesn’t Affect SEO
While social media itself is not a direct ranking factor, it can significantly influence your SEO efforts. Increased visibility on social platforms can lead to more backlinks and traffic, indirectly improving your rankings.
FAQs About SEO
FAQ 1: How long does it take to see results from SEO?
SEO is a long-term strategy. It can take several months to see significant improvements in rankings and traffic. Patience and consistency are key.
FAQ 2: Can I do SEO on my own, or should I hire a professional?
While basic SEO practices can be implemented by anyone, hiring a professional can yield better results, especially for competitive industries. Professionals have the expertise and tools to optimize your site effectively.
FAQ 3: Is SEO the same as SEM?
No, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) focuses on organic traffic, while SEM (Search Engine Marketing) includes paid advertising. SEM encompasses strategies that involve paying for visibility, like Google Ads.
FAQ 4: What is the role of content in SEO?
Content plays a crucial role in SEO. High-quality, relevant content attracts visitors and encourages them to stay longer, signaling to search engines that your site is valuable. Incorporating keywords like “what is entertainment” into your content helps connect with your audience.
FAQ 5: Are backlinks still important for SEO?
Yes, backlinks remain a critical component of SEO. They signal to search engines that your content is credible and worth referencing, improving your site’s authority and rankings.
Conclusion
SEO is an ever-evolving field that plays a vital role in digital marketing. Understanding its components—on-page, off-page, and technical—is essential for creating effective strategies. By focusing on high-quality content, optimizing your site, and building backlinks, you can enhance your online visibility and attract more organic traffic.
As the digital landscape continues to grow, staying updated on SEO best practices will ensure your business remains competitive. By implementing these strategies and addressing common misconceptions, you can navigate the complexities of SEO and leverage its benefits. Remember, the journey may take time, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Embrace the power of SEO to drive your business forward in the digital age.

Shownu, Jung Taekwoon, Go Eunsung's Anatole | THE SINGLE 🔗
We met Shownu, Jung Taekwoon, and Go Eunsung, who played the fatally attractive Anatole in the musical . This time, the three Anatole became each other’s ‘love enemies’.
BY Editor Jang Eun-ji | 2024.04.20
website translation and original undercut, edited by me to be easier to read
Both the shirt and pants are by Jiyong Kim.
Appearing as Anatole in the musical . Please briefly introduce what the musical is.
Shownu: This is a song-through musical inspired by the 70 pages of Volume 2, Chapter 5 of Tolstoy's War and Peace. It premiered in Korea in 2021, and this is its re-run.
Taekwoon: The fact that it is a full-length musical with almost no dialogue and only singing may be of interest, but is an immersive performance in which there is no distinction between the stage and the audience, and the audience's participation is so high that they are part of the work. It's even more special in that respect.
Jung Taekwoon also described the character Anatol as ‘stupid’ on Seo In-guk’s YouTube channel.
translation note : 병맛 [ 'internet slang' term derived from the phrase "병신 같은 맛" which itself is not a legit phrase as well. Literal translation would be "taste of stupidity" English phrase would be something like "fcked up".]
Taekwoon: In the play, Anatole is a character who promises love to another woman named Natasha, leaving her spouse behind. Hedonistic narcissist. She could be described as a ‘golden lover,’ but she seems to be a person who just sees things. The reason she doesn't keep taking off her wedding ring is because she doesn't take it seriously. In my view, I don't think Anatole made any definitions of right and wrong, regardless of social norms or opinions. When I was researching the character of Anatole, I thought of a person around me. A person who makes you click your tongue. (Laughs)
Inner tee is Coperni, jacket is Bonbom, pants are Dsquared, shoes are Balenciaga.
Since each person's interpretation of Anatole was different, I think the way he expressed it would have been slightly different. How did you apply and express that interpretation to your body?
Taekwoon: I tried to make a difference in Natasha's attitude towards people other than Natasha. Don’t we also put on a slightly different appearance than usual in front of the people we want to appeal to? In reality, he was an ordinary man, but when dealing with Natasha, he tried to show his appeal through exaggerated speech and a sloppy gait.
Eunsung: The background of the musical is Russia, which is famous for ballet, and I thought it would be good if people would think of a ballerino when they see Anatole's gait and posture. The appearance of lowering the shoulder blades and lifting the chest tightly, as if wearing a corset. From the first appearance, rather than showing a light appearance as if it will fly away, it has an elegant and restrained appearance that is easy to fall in love with, and gradually reveals its foundation as it progresses. I thought that would add tension to the play and paradoxically make the character more attractive.
Top, pants, and scarf are all from Acne Studio.
I think the singing style was different from usual and it was also different from how I prepared for the performance.
Shownu: Of course, it’s my first time, so there are difficulties and pressure. But what I needed was not how difficult you thought it was. If you think it's difficult, you can't start anything. My personality itself is like that. So I didn't even think about it being difficult. I sang it the way I felt without trying to change my singing style. I had a hectic day asking questions, learning, and practicing with my seniors and brothers. I'm still in a daze. I don't think I've become comfortable enough to recognize that it's difficult. (Laughs)
What did you think after your first performance?
Shownu: Are you hungry? Ah, I meant it to be funny, but it wasn't very funny. sorry.
Taekwoon: I’m not saying that for nothing. Shownu usually takes really good care of himself. To show off my good side, I don't eat much or eat snacks. After you run around and play passionately on stage, only then do you feel at ease and feel hungry. Among the outstanding musical actors, there is not a single one who lives like a hedonist. Most live like practitioners or athletes, training to develop their skills to the highest level their bodies will allow. Due to the nature of the job, self-management is very important, and Shownu's qualities are already visible.
Eunsung T-shirt is Althirteen, jacket is Bally, pants are Levi’s, shoes are SGWL. Taekwoon jacket is Golden Goose, pants are Acne Studio, innerwear is Calvin Klein Underwear, and shoes are Yowi. Shownu's jacket is from the stylist's collection, pants are Levi's, gloves are Dolce & Gabbana, and shoes are SGWL.
In the play, all three play the same character, but in today's pictorial, the concept was based on the assumption that they are three men who love the same woman at the same time. If you are each other's romantic enemy, what do you think is the charm of the other person that keeps you in check the most?
Shownu: Eunsung is a mood maker and, above all, he has great drive. Eunsung is always the one who gathers us all at once and makes reservations for places. He is handsome and sexy to men. Taekwoon is really gentle, warm and delicate. He really cares about the people around him. But it's sexy.
Eunsung: Shownu is really attractive in appearance. She doesn't talk much and only says what to say. He has a sweet personality, but he also has a good body, and when the opposite sex sees him, he seems to burst out laughing just by standing still.
Shownu: Hyung, it’s all a meticulous strategy. (Laughs)
Eunsung: But actually, that’s the worst. They disarm people and take no responsibility.
I would like to ask one last question. For the audience coming to see , what are the three actors' favorite parts?
Taekwoon: ‘Balaga’. It's the hardest, and I feel the most alive.
Shownu: I also ‘Balaga’. It is the most passionate and hot. When performing that song, the actors and the audience truly become one and everyone is covered in sweat.
Eunsung: Of course, it’s ‘Balaga’. I can boldly say that Balaga is the song that represents the identity of . To add a little lie, there was a time when I went into the dressing room after Balaga and wrung out my sweaty shoes with both hands. (Laughs) It's that much fun, so hurry up and reserve your tickets. I really want you to experience it.

Hi I just saw your post and was wondering if I can get a 1-card reading from you. My question is what kind of energy should I incorporate in the content with my sister on social media? We’re leaning more into being an influencer but it’s hard to create content that gets people engaged and interested in us.
Hey there! I totally get the frustration on content creation, I think all content creators feel it! Truth be told, I've heard that the algorithms are designed to make your first few posts successful, then it's a little harder to get views, so they keep you hooked and trying to make the next viral content, so that you keep pumping out content for their website! I don't know if it's true, but I've noticed that taking the stress off your shoulders and posting what feels authentic to you, and actually enjoying your content creation, tends to give the most insight and helps the process feel more successful! There's nothing better in content creation than seeing something you're proud of and love get the attention you want! Rather than things you hate making. Other tips I can think of is definitely utilize hashtags and SEO as those things help your content get seen in the first place. And definitely find your niche! There's no rush, so play around with what you like and see what takes off. For example, the witchy stuff on this blog gets the most engagement, but I still enjoy posting about cooking and such!
As for your card pull, the King of Pentacles popped out for you!
Literal meaning: "The King of Pentacles is an honest, generous leader who has worked hard and achieved great success. He upholds his duties and traditions, and respects his ancestral heritage. He is kind, but has high expectations of others and believes they should have the same work ethic as he does. He is humble and self-reliant."
Pentacles also represents earth, winter, and years. It represents money, work, talent, reputation, achievement, stability, and the material realm. The court cards tend to represent people, so the King is most likely a representation of you.
My interpretation of the card: The king is a representation of you or who you need to be to achieve your success that you're after. Keep in mind the qualities that it is describing, as these are most likely the type of energy you need to put forth to gain what you want. Hard work, honesty, generousness, self-reliance, humbleness, and respectfulness of traditions. Success takes work and the good type of success will take honest and kind work. No one gets famous overnight, and many influencers have done some shady things to get to the top. If you want genuine engagement and success, this is telling you to keep at your goals, to not rely on others but your own efforts and merits (as in not expecting others to do everything for you, but theres nothing wrong with help and collaborations), to be kind and generous to others as you climb to your goals, and it has an additional message of tradition, so maybe there is something in your ancestral lineage or heritage that can inspire you in your work. Perhaps its educating others on something from your history, or maybe its a lesson learned from the past. It says that he also expects others to have the same work ethic, so in regards to working with your sister, make sure she is on the same page of hard work and other qualities in order to reach your success together. Since the pentacles represents years, achieving your goals may take years instead of a shorter amount of time, so again, don't expect instant success. With it representing winter, perhaps something will happen in winter that will bring you good news on your success, or that may be the season you reach your goals. Stay diligent, learn the tricks of the trade, and find your niche and what you enjoy creating. You'll get there! The king is the highest card of the suit, so you will definitely reach your success in the end!

Mastering On-Page SEO: The Definitive Guide
In the vast ocean of search engine optimization (SEO), on-page SEO remains an indispensable component. It's the cornerstone of your website's visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs) and mastering it can significantly boost your organic traffic. But what exactly is on-page SEO and how can you optimize your website effectively? In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the depths of on-page SEO, exploring its importance, key elements, best practices and advanced techniques.
What is On-Page SEO?
On-page SEO refers to the optimization of individual web pages to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. Unlike off-page SEO, which involves external factors like backlinks and social signals, on-page SEO focuses on optimizing elements directly within the website itself. These elements include content, HTML source code and site architecture.
Why is On-Page SEO Important?
Improved Visibility: Properly optimized pages are more likely to rank higher in search engine results, increasing your website's visibility to potential visitors.
User Experience: On-page optimization often goes hand in hand with improving user experience (UX), leading to lower bounce rates and higher engagement metrics.
Targeted Traffic: By optimizing for specific keywords, you attract visitors who are actively searching for what your website offers, resulting in more targeted traffic.
Cost-Effective: Compared to other SEO strategies like link building, on-page SEO is relatively cost-effective and offers long-term benefits.
Key Elements of On-Page SEO
Title Tags: Title tags are HTML elements that define the title of a web page. They are displayed prominently in search engine results and should include relevant keywords and accurately describe the page's content.
Meta Descriptions: Meta descriptions provide a brief summary of the page's content and appear below the title tag in search results. While they don't directly impact rankings, compelling meta descriptions can improve click-through rates (CTR).
Heading Tags (H1, H2, etc.): Heading tags organize the structure of your content, with H1 being the main heading and subsequent tags (H2, H3, etc.) used for subheadings. They help both users and search engines understand the hierarchy of information on a page.
URL Structure: A clear and concise URL structure not only makes it easier for users to navigate your site but also helps search engines understand the context of your pages. Include relevant keywords in your URLs when possible.
Keyword Optimization: Strategic placement of keywords throughout your content, including in headings, paragraphs and image alt attributes, helps search engines understand the topic of your page. However, avoid keyword stuffing, as it can harm your rankings.
Quality Content: High-quality, relevant content is essential for on-page SEO success. Aim to create comprehensive, informative and engaging content that satisfies the search intent of your target audience.
Internal Linking: Linking to other pages within your website helps spread link equity and improves navigation. It also encourages visitors to explore more of your content, leading to longer sessions and increased engagement.
Image Optimization: Optimizing images by using descriptive file names and alt attributes not only improves accessibility but also provides another opportunity to include relevant keywords.
Best Practices for On-Page SEO
Research and Target Relevant Keywords: Conduct keyword research to identify the terms and phrases your target audience is searching for. Focus on long-tail keywords with lower competition for better results.
Create Unique and Compelling Content: Produce original, valuable content that addresses the needs and interests of your audience. Aim for a mix of formats, such as articles, videos, infographics and more.
Optimize Page Speed: Fast-loading pages enhance user experience and can positively impact rankings. Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights to identify and address speed issues.
Mobile-Friendly Design: With the majority of web traffic coming from mobile devices, ensure your website is optimized for mobile users. Use responsive design principles to provide a seamless experience across all devices.
Regularly Update Content: Keep your content fresh and up-to-date to maintain relevance and authority. Update existing content with new information, statistics or insights and remove or redirect outdated pages.
Utilize Schema Markup: Schema markup helps search engines understand the context of your content, leading to rich snippets in search results. Implement structured data where applicable to enhance your listings.
Optimize for Featured Snippets: Aim to create content that answers common questions or provides concise summaries to increase the likelihood of appearing in featured snippets.
Monitor and Analyze Performance: Use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track the performance of your pages, identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of your optimizations.
Advanced On-Page SEO Techniques
Semantic SEO: Focus on the context and meaning of keywords rather than exact match phrases. Use synonyms, related terms and natural language to optimize content for semantic search.
Topic Clusters: Organize your content into clusters around broad topics, with pillar pages serving as comprehensive guides and supporting content delving into specific subtopics. This structure enhances topical authority and improves internal linking.
Voice Search Optimization: Optimize your content for voice search by incorporating natural language queries and targeting conversational keywords. FAQ pages and structured data can also improve visibility in voice search results.
User Engagement Signals: Pay attention to user engagement signals such as dwell time, bounce rate and click-through rate. Creating engaging, interactive content and improving site performance can positively influence these metrics.
Local SEO Optimization: For businesses with physical locations, optimize your website for local search by including location-specific keywords, creating a Google My Business profile and obtaining local citations.
Video SEO: Optimize video content by providing detailed metadata, including transcripts and captions and embedding videos on relevant pages. Video thumbnails and rich snippets can improve visibility in search results.
International SEO: If targeting multiple regions or languages, implement hreflang tags to indicate the language and geographical targeting of your pages. Ensure content localization and use country-specific domains or subdirectories where appropriate.
Conclusion
On-page SEO is a fundamental aspect of any successful digital marketing strategy. By optimizing your website's individual pages for search engines and users alike, you can increase visibility, attract targeted traffic and improve overall performance. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned SEO practitioner, mastering on-page SEO techniques is essential for staying competitive in today's digital landscape. Google and other search engines take several factors into account when ranking content, and as such SEO has many facets. The core three types of SEO are on-page, off-page, and technical SEO:
On-page SEO: Optimizing the quality and structure of the content on a page. Content quality, keywords, and HTML tags are the key players for on-page SEO.
Off-page SEO: Getting other sites, and other pages on your site to link to the page you are trying to optimize. Backlinks, internal linking, and reputation are your off-page MVPs.

Video SEO: A mix of on-page, technical, and off-page strategies to get your videos to rank in YouTube or Google video results.
How does SEO work?
So how does Google know which pages to show in the search engine results page (SERP) for any relevant search? How does this engage traffic to your website? Let’s take a look at how SEO works. :-
Google’s search crawlers constantly scan the web, gathering, categorizing, and storing the billions of web pages out there in its index. When you search for something and Google pulls up results, it’s pulling from its index, not the web itself.
Google uses a complex formula (called an algorithm) to order results based on a number of criteria (ranking factors—which we’ll get into next) including the quality of the content, its relevance to the search query, the website (domain) it belongs to, and more.
How people interact with results then further indicates to Google the needs that each page is (or isn’t) satisfying, which also gets factored into the algorithm.
SEO tools :-
You can’t carry out effective search engine optimization without data, and to get data, you need tools. Luckily, most of them are free. The best SEO tools for an optimal SEO strategy are:

Google Search Console: GSC is essential for content-focused and technical SEO. Although some Search Console data appears in Google Analytics, there is a lot you get in the platform on its own. Use it for Core Web Vitals, granular query analyses, indexing, and more.
Keyword research tools: As mentioned above, you’ll need these so you can find keywords that are realistic for you to target in terms of search volume and competition. Use my roundup of the best paid and free keyword research tools to find the right one for you.

Website graders: Whereas the aforementioned tools are often complex and require you to know how to make sense of the data.
